Senator Summer's Fazio herding All issuing a statement as far
as the state's new early Education Trust fund, my lord,
there are so many different ways they're putting this, and
they're making it clear. Look, we support investing in pre K,

but it must be done the right way within the
confines of the state budget. Instead, the governor created this
off budget slush fund that exists outside the limits of
the state government spending cap. Oh, why we can't handle
it because it's three hundred million dollars. I'm telling you,

there's something weird here. They go on to say it
flagrantly violates the spirit of our smart bipartisan fiscal guardrails
and will lead to future tax hikes on working families.
Back in twenty sixteen, the same slide of hand off
budget accounts led Connecticut to be in the worst financial

situation that we'd been in for years and led to
the two highest tax increases in Connecticut history. State job
creators and Republicans opposed this latest gimmick. Governor Lamont and
Democrats embrace it and thumb their noses at taxpayers. The
governor and legislative Democrats really believed in investing in our future.

They wouldn't be doing it through slush funds. They would
be doing it within the confines again of our state budget,
as Senate Republicans have consistently championed. So there is some
pushing back on this. I'm down. I received an epic
email from a teacher saying, you don't know how at

odds teachers are versus kindergarten teachers. I didn't realize there
was infighting and all sorts of you know, they get
paid the same, but work less hours and with considerably
less problematic kid you know, little cute little kids who
do nap time, right, I mean, so, I didn't realize
there was any infighting there. I just want to know

where the fingernails are that are gliding down Ned's back
for this one, because he'd only there's got to be
a gain in it for him somewhere. And I don't
know if it's the teacher's union. I mean that is
that the endorsement is jockeying for here. Many boes are
frustrated with the governor, Like I say, you know a
big school closing in New Haven. You know, the middle

schools are in dire straits financially high schools and he's here.
He is creating curious slush fund off budget slush funds
for three year olds who should be home. You know
the way they eased to the schools like Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jesus,
it's amazing how much time has passed. I remember the

My daughter went to Snpernidett's two days a week, and
then come home. That house was so wildly quiet, it
was awful. And then Tuesdays and Thursdays become Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays,
and it becomes Monday through Friday. And you know, so
