Speaker 1 (00:00):
Live from DC, Pam Salomon, who I got to tell
you some of these photos you're sending me, although I
think you noted, they're not all from you birds eye view,
some fantastic photos. I mean, you surely weren't in the
overflow room at any point. It doesn't look like Pam.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Correct, not in the hillverflow room. However, the best ones
excuse my voice.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
You were screaming and dancing.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Long couple of days. Yes, le or Leedy had sent
them the best.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Okay, So those.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Last top ones I gave credit for her because she
was definitely front and center.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
That's the one I would assume of the president with
his wife. It's an unbelievable photo.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Really, Uh yes, beautiful gorgeous photos is right there?
Speaker 1 (00:50):
So speaking of beautiful, speaking of beautiful, you looked lovely
at all of these events, I must say. And I
see here spent the night with my neighbor. Is that
my man Tim there Hurst? Yes? And is that is
that you? Is that his wife here with her?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yes? Beautiful lovely lady.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Tim is out of his league with beautiful we Initially,
I don't know how he pulled that off. I don't
know how he pulled that up.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Nobody knows that.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh he's a great guy. He's a great new neighbor.
He loves the neighborhood and I'm glad to have him
in the neighborhood. So tell me about it. I mean,
I know you had a few minutes with Dan Crenshaw.
I mean you seemingly, uh, no room was on the limits.
You had a lot of access, Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
A lot of access. I tell you that the highlight
for me personally was Governor Abbat of Texas, very generous
with his time, a really really truly lovely man, and
he was very you know, he was great with everybody.
He really worked the room. The Texas ball they must
have had a good no, you can know, five eight
(02:01):
thousand people like thrown out numbers. It's huge, but really
well done. Multiple levels of the hotel, multiple ballrooms, you
could go in and out of, meeting people just from
everywhere all over the country. You name, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, California, Oregon,
you know, some of us commiserating with where we live.
(02:24):
I feel like you were in the room with thousands
of your best friends, just so joyous and so happy.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, people really.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Feeling you know, a sense of joy, but also just
I think really truly like reliefs because before he was
even torn in, it's just like kind of normalcy. You
could just think see the pendulum swing him back.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Yeah, you know, it's interesting. It's interesting everything that I
watched yesterday and the day before and everything that you know,
you sent me in a few other people, although you
you sent me the best shots in video clips, so
I do appreciate that I've been using some of them
too on our social media, giving good credit with a
credit do. But it's interesting because I'm seeing all of
(03:03):
the you know, the vitriol on social media as well,
because you know, I got equal parts on all of
my pages, which which I actually like as a radio host.
But I'm taking back four years and I remember all
of these pictures and all this footage, and we can party,
you know, the Democrat and the Democrats were declined. We
(03:24):
could party. We could have a good tib and I
don't remember Republicans behaving the way I'm seeing this weekend.
As far as I'll let the party and happen. Okay,
what are we gonna do. We're gonna go to work,
We're gonna go ahead. We'll see you in four years
and now it's four years later and the whining and
(03:45):
the hate being spewed.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Oh, I think you're always going to get that from
the left. But I gotta tell you, Vin, I don't
know if who grew with me or not. I think
in retrospect, it was almost a blessing that Trump lost
four years ago, because I think it truly woke the
country up. People didn't vote for him, not based on policy,
They had trouble with personality, and they just chose not
to vote for him. Now they saw what happened.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
An expensive lesson, an expensive lesson it was.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
But sometimes that's what it takes. I mean, that's that's reality.
I think it hit us in the face. And then
people just came back and drove no, no, this is craziness.
And now we're back to reality and.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Again we're on with Pam Salomon, who's been in DC
all this weekend. I'm assuming coming home today, maybe tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Coming home today with camn Friday morning.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Coming.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I want to put you on home. I want to
put you on the spot a little bit, although I
don't really think it is that. Were you in the
room when Elon Musk spoke, when he did the controversial ow.
I'm just wondering, like what the reaction was in the room.
To me, he's such a curious, eccentric guy. I don't
get this whole Holy cow, he's a huge hitler fan.
(04:57):
I don't know what there is for anyone to be
a fan of Eli Mosc or Trump. His gesture was weird.
It's like you weren't okay.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
But no, I don't think any of us feel that way.
I think people understand, you know, the least takes everything
and blows it up. They don't really look at what
the person's trying to say.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yes, because I feel like his head was on his heart,
like it began as like a pledge that my hand
is on my heart. This is so hard, and then
like my hand you know, it's a tough headspace to occupy,
or the hazard of guests. But I certainly don't see
him up there like let's get our nineteen thirty nine
on right. No, it's bizarre.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I just I don't see that. I'd like to give
Trump a lot more credit to.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
That as well. Same same somebody said I saw a
lunatic Chris Murphy tweet where he said everybody saw the
anti Semitism in the campaign that he read. I never saw.
I don't even know what he's talking about. I don't know.
I wish I did know what he was talking about.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
You know what, we didn't see it. I go back
to Leora Levy, who's been very close with campaign, very
active nationally, a Jewish woman herself, who's been to Israel
a ton of times. Yeahho, and she does not feel
there was any anti sent you know.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
She took some of the great like you had said earlier,
some of the best photos and there's great videos.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Oh yeah, she was upfront center, and sure it was.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
And I was thinking too, it's so awkward, though, Pamp,
like I wanted to rattle off the names of the
Jewish in attendance, who surely they're not feeling that way.
But it's awkward to do, you know, but you kind
of have.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
But there's no sentiment with that. But I'm going to
tell you when we were at our watch party, because
they had kidsled to swearing in, you know, the outdoor
and all that, we just chose to. It was just
not wait in lines. And we went to a swearing
in party at the hotel here, which was just it
was a beautiful event. It was great And there was
a couple here from Ustustralia and they're like they were
(07:01):
doing a trip around the world, and like they said,
they wanted to stay for the inauguration because they want
people to know that Australia is seeking out what we
just re elected.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
What a great Yeah, what a great story to h
to end on. Thanks so much for sharing that. Pam
