Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the show. Shaheen Gobadi, nuclear engineer, member
of NCRI. There's lots of catching up we have to
do these days. How are you feeling optimistic?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Of course I'm optimistic. First of all, thanks for having
me on the show again, and of you and all
your good listeners. Have had good days and we'll have
a rest of happy summer. Obviously, there are all sorts
of news coming from Iran. The regime is in a
desperate mode and that effect is arresting a lot of
activistticularly those who are affiliated with the People's Majority in
(00:33):
Organization of Run, the principal Iranian resistance movement on the
ground very tragically too, activists and members of the PMOI.
They're badly hanged in Iran on July twenty seven after
three years of incarceration. There are fourteen others who are
on death row as we speak, the same charges, and
(00:54):
five of them just last Friday. They're moved to prison
which is used for hanging prisoners, and you are very
very concerned about their flight. But these are all signs
of a desperate regime which is very worried about another uprising.
In a lot of what's happening inside Iran. You know,
(01:15):
there's power outage in Iran a daily basis. Now running
water has become a scarce commodity in Iran, a country
as big as you run and as fast as you run.
Now people don't have electricity, they don't have running water,
and these are only the tip of the iceberg. So
and the regime is totally incapable of even providing the
(01:38):
basic necessities to the people now. So that's why they're
very worried that another uprising very much looms on the horizon.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Now. I had seen that last week it was announced
that NCRI would be unveiling photos and names and specific
details of the individuals who are orchestrating this global campaign
of violence. Did that come to pass, and if so,
(02:06):
has there been a response to it from other countries,
from the United States, even as far as Okay, we're
with you on this, because I know that Miriam Rajavi
has been giving powerful speeches. They've been well received. Her
plan is not being picked apart. So what happened last
week as far as these photos and names and specific.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Details, I'm glad you brought Robini. We had a very
telling press conference last Thursday, in the NCRA office in
Washington individually made basically naked the new headquarters that the
regime has established within the Ministry of Intelligence and Security
to coordinate its terrorist operations in Iran. It's called Passions
(02:49):
Bully Money Headquarters, named after the former head of the
notorious IRGC KOTS Force who was eliminated hit by the
Trump administration back in twenty to twenty. Now the headquarters
is named after him, and we revealed who is in
charge of that headquarters and which entities operations are coordinated,
(03:11):
namely the Unit of Intelligence Security IORG, the Intelligence Service
and are also i Orgies EQUDS Force, so they're trying
to stimline their terror operations abroad. And we named fourteen
key officials involved, in particular the person who's in charge
of these headquarters. And that was all based on human
intelligence that has been obtained by the People's majority in
(03:35):
organization of Iran inside the country and even inside the
regime's entities. So that's a very very reliable, identifiable information.
In addition to that, the week before we had two
major events in Rome in which Madame Rajevid, the President
(03:57):
elect of the National Counciler of Resistance, of one was
invited to the Italian Parliament to speak about this new
wave of executions and arrest in the run and also
about the international basically responsibility and the correct policy by
the Western countries, and she was very well received by
(04:20):
very very prominent members of the parliament. Also to give
testimony to the Italian Committee for Italian Senate Committee for
Human Rights, and she was joined by very very prominent
Americans and European military, including Charles Michelle, who wanted twenty
twenty four was the President of the European Council, James
(04:43):
Cleverly the former British Foreign Minister, Interior Minister, and Rudy
Giuliani New York, so everybody knows. And Carlo Sants was
the former US ambassadorist Denmark and a cold host of
the international dignitaries who all ecod support for the Vieni
(05:03):
people and the policy that we advocate, which is regime
change but by the Vienian people, for the Vni people
and the resistance at its core, and also Mademoiselle's ten
point planned so as you can see bby active inside Iran,
outside Iran, internationally from all directions, because we think the
moment is coming fast.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Yeah, I'm glad you mentioned Rudy Giuliani. I had discussed
that on my show and played a portion of his clip.
I was a bit taken aback, if I could be honest.
And again, we're on with Shahin Gobadi. We've been covering
all that's happening in Iran and very hopeful right along
with you, that change is in the air. He's a
(05:44):
nuclear engineer and member of NCRI, and you've been a
great guest on the show. I haven't seen a lot
of commentary here in the United States, so when I
stumbled upon Rudy Giuliani doing a sit down interview where
he was raving about Mary Risha and her plan, I
hope you understand it. You know, I was taken aback
(06:05):
because this was the first time I was seeing a
you know, a prominent figure in the United States, somebody
with a storied career speaking out about this. Because I think,
you know, America needs to be weighing in more. I
worry that Trump trusts the present regime. If they make
(06:27):
promise and they're not trustworthy, well, I don't.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Think that President Trump will go to that path. I mean,
obviously one has to be vigilant and dealing with this
regime because you're with all the respect your description of
them being not trustworthy isn't by feign understand me. And
they are massives of deception and taking people for a ride.
And you have sen this time and again in the
(06:51):
last three decades or so. And they take people good,
real natured offers and when somebody gives them and actually
take a mile, as they say, And we have seen
this time and again. But I think people have gone
through this narrative time and again and they realize the
(07:11):
trough nature and they see the despression of the region.
You mentioned about prominent Americans talking in defense of resistance,
theresn't plenty of that. Obviously, there has to be much
more just to say, or since just two weeks ago,
Tom Ridge, the first Homeland Security Secretary and prominent governor
(07:33):
of Pennsylvania, wrote a very interesting commentary in Newsweek about
this path and Madam Brajevi and what we propose, and
there has been much more articles like that. But there's
plenty plenty more to be said. I think the more
American patriots hear about our movement and the fact that
(07:55):
there very good Iranians. I'm talking about particularly inside I
ran outside of Iran, represented in the resistance, which are
simply striving with their toil and blood for free run.
And they do not seek American money, They do not
seek American woods and the grands, the anastik, American weapons.
All they are asking is a good policy which is
(08:16):
very much in line with what America traditionally stands for.
So I think a lot of people will be on
our side. So I totally agree that this message has
to be accentrated and repeated. Simon again, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
No, and I'm glad to hear you feel that that
way too. Let me circle back around there when I
first mentioned how NCRI had announced we're going to be
unveiling photos, name, specific details of the individuals who are
orchestrating Tehran's global campaign of violence, and just your description
(08:49):
even two minutes back there, you're putting it lightly, saying
they're not to be trusted. They're considerably worse than that.
When it says the mulas have operated in the shadows,
exporting terror through nameless agents and now you're going to
see who they are. That comes as that that comes
as a surprise to me as well. Sir, because I
would think nobody's hiding every one of this regime. You know,
(09:13):
they want their faces shown, that they want to permeate fear.
So I ask you the question and forgive the naivete,
But is that because the photo, when the photos surface,
and the names and the details, it's going to be
your neighbors and you know in Iran, it's going to
be people you thought had the same interests as you
(09:34):
and they don't. That's how deep this runs.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
No, it's not the case, but whatever. What we were
referring to was that the specific roles of this various
individuals and their marine activities is I think unknown to
the outside goals and that to some extent inside you're on. Obviously,
intelligence people do not go around very bad, is I mean,
obviously that's not the case. But yes, making them basically
(09:59):
known to the world, removing the certain behind which they
stand behind it is very important because when the shed light,
it's very much limits their capabilities for operations. You know,
their contacts would be much more scrutinized, and particularly when
you give a whole list of people and people who
(10:21):
run different bureaus of the Minister of Intelligence, which is
very difficult as a saying say, look this mister X runs,
this bureau for this operation, mister wire runs and this
is how these operations are. This is a normal defined model,
so operandi or these sort of operations. Obviously that makes
it much more difficult to repeat. So basically these are
(10:42):
what we are doing is pre emptying the regimes that
upcoming terrorist activism, making it much more difficult to happen.
And also you mentioned they have sleeping cells as we
have seen time and against in Europe and even in
the United States, and by doing what we're doing, we
are raised awareness and makes it more difficult for them
(11:02):
to function. So that's part of our responsibility basically to
nullify the regime's terrorist operations, making their terrorist network known
to the world and the people who are relevant. And
this is not the first time we have done this Ni.
We have done this time and again. As we have
done on a nuclear issue, we have done this on
(11:23):
terrorism issue because it's part of our struggle, that's part
of our resistance. Look, this is a fight for the
future of a nation in every direction you can imagine,
for correct international policy, for breaking repression inside. You want
to prevent them to get the nuclear weapons to prevent them,
(11:44):
to cure activities. This is an all out a struggle
by a nation manifested in their organized resistance and multifaceted
to put in mightly.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
And I do believe America's got skin in this game too,
for lack of the better way of putting it. It's
in our best interest too that a peaceful regime is installed.
And is that how continuing in the you know, with
that naivete of mind, is that how this would go
as far as Raja is concerned. It surely wouldn't be
an election, right, she would be installed and how would
(12:20):
that happen?
Speaker 2 (12:21):
No, there would be a regime changed by revolution. And
this is not nowivite. This is reality and this is
the way this regime has imposed itself on the devaning people.
There would be a revolution by devening people, for devening
people in all aspects. But international community, as you said,
(12:42):
has a role not only a moral obligation, but from
a political imperative perspective, because this regime is the godfather
of terrorism in the world, that the main estate responsor
of terror. At the same time, this main estate sponsor
of terror is driving to acquire nuclear weapons. So that
very much compounds the gravity and the urgency and their
(13:05):
tentacles over the years have reached way far away. Look,
this regime was directly involved in bombing Jewish centers in Argentina.
That's at Latin America, and the highest echelons of this regime,
people at the Pinicule. The Supreme Vider himself was directly involved.
So this is the type of regime we're dealing with
(13:27):
Number one number any number one enemy as they reading people,
but they are a direct threat to the whole world.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
I mean, if I mean, I hold in my hand
and I have all weekend the pictures of five men
who are facing imminent execution, possibly even today, with the
hashtag stop executions in a run, how does that get stopped?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Well, I think the walls to speak out. The wall
should make it clear that they do.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I want to play my small role in that. That's
what I'm trying to do is play my small role
in that we could stop, help stop these executions today
of five men who are facing imminent execution today in Iran.
If it's made known, it won't be tolerated by the
West or by anyone else.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Couldn't I give it you more the if I may
paraphrase what Edmund Blair, the famous philosopher, said that all
it takes is silence of good people for evil to
do his dirty job. So silence is the worst thing
that can happen. People should be much more voiced for us.
(14:43):
They should they speak out, ask imaginations to intervene. This
is the result depth of these institutions that are built
and created and you know, given budgets to speak out
in this situation in defense of personal dissidence for in
such a situation, simply for speaking out. So you and
should get involved. International organizations should get involved. Members of
(15:07):
Congress can speak out. Senators can speak out. Basically, they
have to make it very clear for the new regime
that the world will not tolerate this. And if they
do carry out this kind of a tragedy, there would
be consequences that they have to be facing.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Much startling.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Exactly, much more consequences. Internationally, they should face isolations, especially
especially when it comes to Europeans who are still being
trade and business with this regime. It's very important that
they speak out and say, hey, if you want to
continue dealing with us, stop these executions. So there's lots
that the international community can do, but it all, it
(15:47):
starts but taking action by being vocal, speaking out.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
That's why you know, I was glad to see Rudy
Giuliani joining the fright. If I'm remembering correct correctly, I
read this weekend that there were at least twenty nine
executions just over a three day period the first week
of August in Iran. Am I right, in three days,
twenty nine executions. I mean, this is a regime who's
(16:14):
they're completely out of control.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
They're malevolent, that's absolutely the case. Look, this is one
statistics tells it all. Iran has about one person of
the world population. Back in twenty twenty four, according to
AMNUS International, the Irinian regime carried out almost two thirds
(16:41):
of the whole world executions. And guess what, twenty five
it's getting much worse. Just simply since last August until today,
more than one thousand, five hundred and fifty people have
been hanged. So we're talking about an average of give
and take five individuals a gay. So like, let every
(17:06):
four hours or every five hours, somebody's hanging the one
that's just as bad. And as you said, people should
speak out, especially especially about this political dissidence because these
people are the trail blazers. They are the ones who
are basically opening the road for the young people who
stand up against the regime, and they are the hope
(17:27):
for the future there. As I said, the trail blazers,
they're the vanguards. So yes, indeed, I ask every listener
to you know, tweet about this five, to write about
this file, speak out about this five. We're just just
past Friday. As I mentioned, we're taken to this venue
that's used for execution and any day can be their
(17:48):
last day.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
I pray for them. Nobody knows I pray for them.
Shah and Gobadi. I appreciate you calling back in from Paris.
Let's stay in touch on this. I want to see
it come to a head in the best way possible
and I'm trying to help as best as I can
with what little platform I do have. But let's stay
in touch, sir.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Thank you so much for having me, Vinnie, and once again,
God bless you and all your good listeners, and I
wish you a happy day and happy weeks ahead.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Same to you, sir.
