Street Takeover Bill Misses The Point

Connecticut lawmakers. They're racing the pass bills on bail. I
heard all about that last week actually from someone in
the biz. If you will on floor ride, okay on
street takeovers with a June four deadline looming. The street
takeover bill, they say, is stuck in the house. It

would allow towns and cities. I'm all about this to
destroy what police sees, although that's not really the problem
when it comes to this street takeover phenomenon. For lack
of a better way of describing it, like, Okay, we're
snapping up dirt bikes and ATVs and we're destroying them.
That's not what street takeovers are. They're in cars and

doing spinouts, donuts, whatever's suppose in cars while people cheer
them on, set off fireworks, and then get so fired
up they start bouncing on the hoods of other cars
that come rolling up on them. I don't are you
destroying the cars that you actually seize that caused the
street takeovers? Never even seem to get those. We're getting

the people who are coordinating the street takeovers. What's the
punishment there, because that would be the street takeover bill.
I want to say, it would be you. You coordinated
this huge. I mean there was one street takeover on
the Cube Bridge. Man, it stopped all action on the
que Bridge on a Friday night, the majority of them
being out of staters. I want to say it should

be there goes your driving. You don't drive now for
the rest of your life. But people just do it.
We all have that one person in our lives like, yeah,
it took my license away for a year. Well, you
just drove over to my house to tell me that.
Nobody had hear because nobody's afraid of even getting getting
snapped up for it. Rep. Fazino out of Berlin says

street takeovers are a huge problem for Connecticut. That kind
of goes without saying any stress that cities and towns
would have to be adopt related ordinances to confiscate and scrap.
Like I said, though, unless it includes the actual vehicles,
and I don't, I just the dirt bike ATV thing.
That's just an entirely different beast. That's not a street takeover.

That's that's a pre existing that's been chaos here in
Connecticut for years. East David in Prijigar has a big
problem with that. That's a totally different bill.
