Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a Minnesota Goodbye Davis on vacation today, So you
have Bailey and Jenny here.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hello.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
And it looks like we didn't get to this one
last week because Bailey is for you and you were
out on Friday, so it says good morning show crew.
This one is specifically for Bailey. We are in the
very early stages of planning a Disney World trip for
our recently turn two and a two year old and
three and a half year old daughters, and I am

(00:25):
looking for all of the tips, tricks, musties for toddlers
and apps the absolutely avoid at all costs. Also, I
would be interested in here and where to stay, knowing
that Bailey has worked there in the past, I would
love some of for insight. Pretty please have a magical
rest of your day that comes from Kelly. All right, Bailey,
what do you got?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Oh my gosh? Okay.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
I could probably give you a much more detailed response
if you want to email me Bailey Hess at Katidobb
dot com. But just off the top of my head
for where to stay stay on resort property because you
are either connected by a monorail, by a skyliner, or
by a bus system. If you stay on Disney property,

(01:04):
and it's it's worth it to stay on Disney property
one percent of the time.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Also, if you're on property, you get.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Something called extra Magic Hours, which means you can either
go to the park early or stay at the park
late because you are a resort guest, and that's a
good time to ride which I see that usually have
a really long line. Speaking of really long lines, I
would also recommend the Genie Pass, which is like the

(01:32):
fast pass system that they changed. It's now it's called
Genie Pass. But since your kids are really little, I
almost wouldn't say to get that because they're not going
to be waiting in line for Space Mountain or for
the Mine Train or the rides that usually have a
really long wait. So they're going to really like Fantasy Land,

(01:52):
I think, and like the Circus area. They'll like that
a lot. In Magic Kingdom specifically, I think Magic Kingdom
is going to be the best park for toddlers. Epcot
maybe not so much. I mean, there's still cool stuff
at Epcot, like the Frozen ride is really cool, but
it is more I always thought like Epcot was more

(02:13):
for like older kids who like to learn, versus like
younger kids who like fantasy and magic.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I was so hyped to go to Epcot.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
So I went when I was like like three or
four or something really really young, and so I don't
really remember. But then I want a trip to Disney
when I was eight, and we went the next year
when I was nine, and for some reason in my
little nine year old brain, Epcot was going to be
the coolest, and I went and I I didn't like
I did not like it. I love Magic Kingdom, Yeah,
I loved it, but Epcot I was like expecting something

(02:43):
very different, right.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I don't know why, but I was.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
It's definitely that it's it's more like an academic kind
of park.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I mean, I replaced that people get drunk around.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
You get drunk around the world.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
So yeah, it's definitely for like adults or like academic
kind of kids. But Animal Kingdom is really fun and
I think little kids would like it because it is
just like a.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Giant zoo almost.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah, and Hollywood Studios too, Like I think overall, Magic
Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are probably going to be.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
The best for toddlers. Stay on property.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
You can get a good value resort for actually not
that expensive per night, especially if you're not going to
spend a lot of time in the resort. If you
are going to spend more time in the resort, art
of animation is really great because all of the rooms
are themed like a Disney movie.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I have a lot of information.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
So if you want more details, just email me Bailey Hess.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
At KDWB dot com and I got you. I'm going in.
I'm going in a month. I'm so excited.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh yeah, that's right. And you booked your hotel, right, We.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Did book our hotel literally yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Okay, do you want to share many of that?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Sure? Me and my mom are going over Thanksgiving break.
We're going to Graceland for two days and then we're
going to Disney for four days. So we're really excited
because it's too places we wanted to go, and we
didn't know how to pick between them, and so we
decided to do them both. So I'm super jazz We're
staying just like a value resort. Honestly, I have still

(04:12):
a couple of friends that live down there, so I've
been squeezing them for all their worth.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I was just gonna say, you got like some hookups
and stuff, Yeah, like for yourself, don't for this Bailey
to get the hook up.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Bailey like maybe I have.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah, I have two friends who still live down there,
so fingers crossed they can get me free park tickets. Okay,
But we're just doing an Epcot day and a Magic
Kingdom Day, and then a resort day where we're going
to bop around all the different resorts because some of
them are really cool and like really themed, and then
one day where we're just gonna do like Disney Springs
and then kind of bop around different places that I

(04:45):
used to frequent when I lived down there.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Are you guys you're flying to.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah, we're flying everywhere. So we're flying. We're doing Graceland first,
so we're flying to Memphis and then doing Graceland for
two days. Then we're flying out of Memphis Orlando on
Thanksgiving okay, and then flying.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
From Orlando back home.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Ohkay, got it.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
So yeah, we're both.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Figuring out our whole passport real ID situation right now.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
My mom's like I can't find my divorce records.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Like, Okay, you're gonna have to figure it out, lady,
because you don't have anything. And I've at least like
applied for a passport. So it's all right. It's in
a month, so we've got Yeah, you've got a little time,
you got sometimes some calls. Yeah, that's exciting.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I also just launched this Bali trip that I'm hosting,
and so if you're interested in finding out any information
for that, it's happening next May, so twenty twenty six,
the ninth to the fifteenth. And I'm just like really
obsessed with the itinerary because I just think it is
such a good mixture of getting some of like the
Bali culture, but being able to like chill by a beach,
see some monkeys.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Waterfall, stuff like that, see some money.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
So if you're interested, there's plenty of spots open still
and I have it linked in my bio on Instagram.
It's at Jenny KTWB. If you want some more details,
feel free to DM me if you have any questions.
But I'm super pumped because i just love Southeast Asia
so much and I've never been to Bali, so I'm
very excited.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Okay, let's see what's we got next. Brent brent Kin writes.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
In WHOA Hello, Hello, Focus, Jenny, Hey friends. A few
episodes back, you were complaining about having a pump gas.
I did this as an invitation to share with you
how much I love my electric vehicle. I am a
car guy and usually get a new car every three
to four years. I never thought I would like electric.
I thought I would miss the roar of that engine.
A couple years ago I started looking at electric and

(06:37):
about a year and a half ago I made the leap,
and I absolutely love it. I will never buy another
gas car again. I do not miss stopping at the
gas station to pump gas. I just plug in when
I get home. I find electric vehicles much more fun
to drive as well. I know it's not for everyone,
but I do feel electric vehicles work for most people.
Do you have a garage or a driveway, then you

(06:57):
likely can just charge at home. Trips take a little
more planning, but overall it isn't as bad as you
may think. I will say that I noticed on the
North Shore there is a whole brand new charging port
area for electric cars that's like near Tofty. I think
I saw, and I had never noticed that before. Maybe
it's been around for a little bit, but it was
new to me for seeing it. But anyways, he says,

(07:20):
I live in Chicago and road trip from here to
Minneapolis and northern Wisconsin several times a year. There are
plenty of places to stop and charge along the way.
I actually have to stop and pee more than I
have to stop in charge. I will typically stop three
times to use the restaurant restroom and will plug in
and charge for fifteen to twenty minutes while I'm there. Oh,
I never really thought about that, because you do on
a road trip then have to kind of just like

(07:41):
stay at that place for a little bit. Yeah, but
that's usually just enough time to use the restroom, grab
a snack or a beverage, and check in on messages.
If you haven't considered it already, I recommend you do.
You do need to educate yourself first to understand how
electric vehicles work in charge. That has been the fun
part for me. I love it so much much that
I have become an electric vehicle advocate. If you have

(08:04):
any questions about it, let me know I would be
happy to answer them.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Enjoy your day.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
That comes from Brent Fun Yeay, Yeah, I definitely have
never thought about that before. About you, Like, you got
a plan to sit around to get that bad boy
charge right at certain points.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
I mean I'm not in the market for a new car,
but if I had all of the money in the world,
I could get whatever car I wanted. It would be
the electric Volkswagen Bus. That's like brand new. It looks
kind of like an old Volkswagen bus, but it's electric,
and I just think that would be so cool and also,
you know, like conscious for the world.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, you know, the nature of it all. Love it, Okay.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Next up, it comes from our good friend Bree Secretary brief.
She says, Hi, friends, I had to immediately write an
email from my bed at nine to thirty pm to
let you know you must watch this new documentary on
Amazon Prime.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
It's called John Candy. I like me.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Oh, I saw I've seen ads for that.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Okay, So, she says, it's a documentary about the life
of John Candy. It has amazing commentary with people like
Catherine O'Hara, Sorry O'Hara, I'm not sure, Conan O'Brien, Tom Hanks,
Martin Short Bill Marie. It's so well done, funny, emotional.
If you're looking for anything to watch in the near future,
watch this shit. Stop and get out your phone and

(09:19):
put it in your notes apps. I'm sorry I was
like reading that weird, so you don't forget Okay, yeah,
stop and put it in your phone because at first
I was like, whatever, it's that good and I think
especially Bailey and Dave will love it, but you all
four might. It's only an hour and forty minutes one episode. Okay,
good to know. Okay, that's all. Love you so much,
Hope you had the best weekend ever. Bree says, I

(09:40):
need to come for a visit again sometime soon. I'll
have to cram it between the new jobs I've started.
I did see Brie started a new job, and I'm
now teaching at the college, working at a medspot, and
applying for grad school.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
So eventually we can call her doctor Bree. She says,
love you bunches.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
That comes from Brie, so once again, called John Candy.
I like me on Amazon Prime. I don't have Prime, unfortunately,
but I'm one of the Do you have Prime?

Speaker 3 (10:09):
I do have Prime?

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yes, okay, you pay for it yourself. You got someone
else's account?

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Oh, my friend Daniella's Prime. I love that for you.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Okay. Here's another one from Lexius is high All.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Since we're talking about religion, I am a Christian and
wanted to share a brief history lesson here. It is
Jesus Christ is not a full name. People put Christ
on the end as if it's it's as if it's
a last name. It's not a last name though. The
word Christ comes from the Greek word Christos, which was
translated from the Hebrew word Messiah. Messiah and Christos both

(10:41):
mean anointed one, which meant anointing one to be a king.
The English language did not have a word with the
same meanings, so they transliterated it. She says, transliterated, is
that rightly the word christos, yeah, into Christ. So when
someone says Jesus Christ, they are saying Jesus anointed one

(11:03):
or Jesus the king. The words Jesus and Christ are
technically not interchangeable because Christ is not a name. It
is a title that can be given to people other
than Jesus. And that comes from Lexi. So thanks Lexi
for sending that in fun little fact had no idea myself.
All right, we are a little bit low on emails.
We have like none on Friday, Bailey, when you're gone,

(11:26):
just pull it out of your book. Yeah, So feel
free to send us an email. Ryan Show at kadiwb
dot com. Just an update if you didn't hear this
on the show, Bailey did her big Mega Walk, which
is why she wasn't on the Minnesota Goodbye on Friday,
so tell everyone about it.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
I went on my fifth annual Mega Walk. I usually
walked to like, you know, fifteen to twenty miles every
year to raise money for local theaters, and this year
I walked twenty one. I had nineteen planned, but the
day kind of went all over the place. I have
all of it is like still on my Instagram. I
made a little highlight reel just called Mega Walk twenty

(12:00):
five if you want to go back and watch all
of it. And I raised sixteen hundred dollars for Strike Theater,
which is a improvince sketch comedy theater in northeast Minneapolis,
and the Minnesota Fringe Festival, which is this giant theater
festival that happens in August. And I knew I would
make a decent amount of money because last year I

(12:20):
made eight hundred total, which is why this year I
was like, I'm going to split it between two places
and spread the wealth a little bit. It was really fun.
I always say it's my best, my favorite day of
the year, because I think it's honestly the adrenaline from walking,
and also the weather was beautiful.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
It was like seven day, Oh my God, like cloudy.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
For most of the day, which honestly is nice when
you're walking. And I walked. It was so surreal walking
from my house and then walking past Valley Fair in
Canterbury Park and I was like, Wow, I walked to
Valley Fair today.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
What the hell? I know? That is really crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Because as I was driving down to Mystic yesterday for
a Viking thing I was hosting, I was like, I
had barely just walk this entire stretch.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
That I just drove here in twenty minutes. I will gripe, though,
just one gripe. East Bush Lake Road and Bush Lake Road.
If you work for the City of Dnah slash Bloomington,
get a freaking sidewalk on that damn road because there's
no sidewalk and I kept having to go into like
this nature reserve spot instead, which yes, it was beautiful.

(13:24):
I really liked the nature, but it added two extra
miles to my walk because East Bush Lake Road doesn't
have a goddamn sidewalk.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
So that's why I ended up being twenty one instead
like the nineteen something you're thinking.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
It ended up being more, which is I mean, it's fine,
I was.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
I ended up doing way more stuff that evening because
it just everything happened to fall on the same day
and I had a kind of jam packed weekend and
people were like, you need to rest, and I was like,
you need to bind your business, but I do.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Have a jam packed weekend. There was like, God, barey're
making me tired.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
All this, and yeah, I felt like I got hit
by a bus the next day. But I feel fine though.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Okay, that's good. Your feet are just a little sour.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
So no, I'm actually I'm fine. Baby.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Well you can go, like you said, you have a highlight,
so you.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Can go check it out and make an actual like
real that I'll post as well.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
And all right, well send us some emails so we
can read your email tomorrow on the Minnesota Goodbye. Thank
you so much for listening. Hope you have a great week.
