Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thursday Morning, Katie w B The Day Fryan Show Live
all over the World with Dave and Jenny and Vaughnt
and Bailey. Somebody complained about you doing that noise. By
the way, did you hear the email about that?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Was it you?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
No?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Somebody sent an email and said a cringe every time
Vont makes that noise. I don't know what he's trying
to do. I'll find the email for you later. Doesn't
really bother me.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
But it's staple. It's his DJ khalid is it's his thing.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Like my You know how artists have like a hip
hop noise, like Mustard on a beat or another one Mustard,
Yeah for DJ Mustard, DJ Mustard.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I love DJ DJ Bustard. You yeah, we love him. Okay, great,
we should all have a noise. We should all have
a noise. Bailey's would be the sound of Bailey does
an inventation of somebody falling down the stairs. So Bailey's here, Hey, everyone, Oh.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
My gosh, it's so nice to see you.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Okay, that's Bailey falling down the stairs. I love that one.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
N your sound okay, pro stomach growling.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, would for sure. So we all have our noise.
Good what is your noise? It is Thursday. We met.
War of the Rose is coming up a little bit
later on. And we always try to be like, you know,
we'll bitch in here and there, we'll complain about something
and we'll talk about something. It's like not always the
most positive thing, but we try to be like more
positive because you hear so much negativity. I hate this,
I hate this, I hate thish, I'm triggered, I'm offended.
(01:24):
So we're trying to be like positive. So we do
a little bit once a week called iHeart Positivity. So
with iHeart Positivity, basically we play a positive song in
the background and we talk about something very positive. I
will go ahead and go first. I'm off tomorrow because
I'm going to a radio convention in San Diego. It's
a big radio convention that all these morning people from
(01:47):
small little cities to big cities come and learn from
each other and go to panels and seminars and learn
about the latest technology and what works and what doesn't
and how to get along and all these kinds of things,
and at these morning show boot camps. Because I've been
in radio, that's what it's called morning show boot camps.
I've been in radio hooks for so long. They make
me feel so important because when I walk in, I'm
(02:09):
not trying to brag. Everybody knows me and they want
to come up and they want to say hi, and
it makes me feel really good. I mean, here in
the broadcast community of Minneapolis, I'm a nobody. I mean,
I'm like that is not here in Minnesota. I'm not
in the Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Yes, I'll never get
in there, but they but worldwide, I've got them two
(02:31):
Marconi's and I've got the kid Cratic Award, and I
feel really blessed and I feel really important when I
go to this seminar and I really enjoy it. People
come up, Dave, just want to bend your ear for
a second, Dave, can I buy you a drink? I
want to ask you about blah blah blah, and I well,
certainly young ladies sit down or whatever. So I'm going
(02:51):
to go do that later today. I'll be there till
tomorrow night. So that is what I'm positive about.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Jay.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
You're also going because you won this award last year
that you were going to be granted to someone else.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
I went awards nationwide, but never here in Minnesota. I
am ignored here in Minnesota, taken for granted.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Government Day happened for me.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
I would say that I do have a bachelor at
party this weekend, and I am so very excited for it.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
I've like not looked forward to bachelrette parties before, but
this one I'm excited for because it's like more like
age appropriate.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
At this point, we're doing.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Like a spa day at a girl's place, doing the pool.
We were going to get dressed up and go out
to dinner and now we're just ordering pizza in and
playing games at the house and like a saving us
some money then and be we're just gonna be chilling.
We're not going to be bopping around hammered around North
Loop like we probably would have five years ago.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
You're not going to rent a party bus. There's gonna
be one crazy girl that's on this tripper pole and
that I.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Mean something like that could still potentially happen. You just
never know. But yeah, I'm very very much looking forward
to this. Good.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's cool, Bailey, What are you positive about it?
Speaker 6 (03:52):
I just wanted to say, I'm very proud of myself
so as I've said a million times, and I've been
annoying people that it's the Fringe Festival this week, which
is a huge theater festival, and all of the shows
are an hour long and I have gone to now
thirty of them. Wow, which is really impressive. And not
allowed to get a punch god for that. I mean
kind yeah, I mean my punch card is my Instagram.
(04:12):
Bailey on air, you can follow me there. But yesterday
I hit thirty. And on weekdays they have four shows
at five thirty, seven o'clock, eight thirty, and ten o'clock.
And yesterday I listened to myself and I said, Bailey,
you're tired, go home and go to bed.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
And I skipped the ten o'clock.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Good for you. Good.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
So I am better than everyone for yourself exactly, And
so I felt so great about it. In the last
show that I was at, I was just like, I'm
gonna go home. I'm gonna go home.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
You're a good loyal friend. You've gone to thirty.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Of these shows, thirty, yes, thirty.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
You have been a good loyal friend. And you don't
need to prove anything to anybody else. So you put
Bailey first.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I did.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I like that, I did you. What are you positive about?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I've also said this a million times.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Monday is my twenty third birthday, and I'm just happy
about it because so much has happened to me in
the past year, and I just I love looking at
blessings just in life period, Like I moved here, Like
I'm coming up on a year at KDWB two.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
That's August twenty.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
First that alone, and then you know, move into the
morning show and now Alyssa's here and I've just like
kind of grown as a person, you know, learning to
live on my own for the first time. It's just
so many great things. I'm just trying to got a car
by the end of this year.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
It's a jog in a year. That is a lot.
A lot of life changes are spread out over like
five years, but that's all packed into one big year.
So good for you. What are you positive about it?
As you listen to the show, what are you positive about? Yes,
you could be like mad because your water heater is
not working right, or the dog is being all over
the carpet, or your windows are leaking or whatever. Sure
(05:44):
you can be negative about that, that's fine, But find
something to be positive. About. What are you happy about?
Think about it all right. We'll be back in a
second with Monsters the Pot. We've also got the Daily Bailey.
We've got the results of Vaunt in a Thong. Yes,
Vont promised that if you got up to fifty five
hundred followers, he would put a picture of himself in
a thong on Instagram. And we have an update. So
(06:07):
go check that out while you're on social media. Did
you see my latest TikTok?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
No, No, I haven't about dog poop?
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, go find my latest TikTok Dave Ryan ktwb on TikTok?
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Is it a round?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
No, it's not a round, it's it's a lesson.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
It's a lesson about dog poop.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
About dog poop, Yeah, I'm intrigued.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, I've been picking up dog poop the wrong way
for my entire life. I've learned how to pick up
dog Yeah, I've been picking up the wrong way. Watch
my TikTok.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Im I learned something. You don't do it with your mouth, Dave.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Yeah, God, what just the thought of that is disgusting.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
No teeth. Go check it out. Jenny's watching right now.
We'll be right back on k d w B. Reach
out to us for anything you need at Katie WB
one five three nine two one. That is our short
code detext k d WB one. Good morning, shout out
to everybody who's listening on iHeart Radio. You know what
I realized yesterday we I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna
(07:03):
be transparent. I have Serious XM in my car. Oh
and I do, and that's fine, but people do that
a lot of people do. And you know what we
also have. I don't have Spotify, but I have Apple
Music and you know, but I love listen to the radio.
They raised the rates for some weird thing on Serious XIM.
So I called them yesterday and they're like, yeah, it's
(07:24):
because of a fee and a BA and we were paying
like forty five bucks a month for two cars for
Serious XIM.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Oh my god, that seems expensive. It is only crap.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Netflix is only like twelve dollars a fifteen.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
I think it's like seventeen.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Okay, But I realized the blessing of radio. It's free.
It is free. It's free. We are something you get
for free. That and I and it kind of dawned
on me. Everybody charges for their thing, Apple Music and Serious,
XIM and Spotify, and the iHeartRadio app is free. So iHeartRadio.
(08:01):
You can listen to all the stations and podcasts, but radio,
your entire life has been and will remain free, and at.
Speaker 6 (08:09):
This quality, for free, this quality local live.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
We're sitting here at six point twenty in the morning
on a Thursday, and we're live. We're here in your neighborhood,
and it's free. And I just thought that was kind
of cool. I just wanted to kind of point that out,
but that there's like one thing left that's free, yeah,
and that's radio. Everything else you gotta pay for streaming video,
I gotta pay for it, Hulu, I gotta pay for.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
It, paying for stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
In college, I interned for Serious and I remember one
of the people that, like my manager or whatever, she
was like, I don't remember the last time I listened
to terrestrial radio.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
When I was like, do you just get in the
car and turn it on?
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Yeah, It was like, huh, is that where we're called
terrestrial radio?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Terrestrial is with an antenna and then satellite or streaming
is yeah, we're.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
Terrestree yeah, And she was like all they all she
listens to is serious, which is I guess cool because
since she works there, she got it for free. But
I was just like FM is like terrestrial, it's just
and it's it feels more real because like you said,
it's local.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
It's it's and it's people that live in your neighborhood
that go to the same mall in the same cub
in the same park that you do. Yep, and drive
on one sixty nine and four ninety four just like
you do in that god awful traffic. All right, let's
do vnsters the pot. Here we go. Vant is got
something on his mind. What's happen?
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Well, I've been watching a lot of Orange of the
New Black Lately, great television show on Netflix, and it
got me thinking, if you're married or I would say,
even if you have a long term partner and for
some reason you or they go to prison if you
leave them, I don't think you were ever really down
for them.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
And the reason I say.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
That is because in vows, don't you say what is
it for richer for better better words? So I know
it might be tough. You don't know when they're coming out,
but you should stick by their side no matter what
they need You.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
They just murdered someone. I think I'm gonna move on.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
I think I'm going to also file a restraining order
against that person when they do get out, if they.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Do for better or worse, Jenny, I know, but people
get divorced all the time. Yeah, because like you know what, Yeah,
for better, for worse until he stole fifty thousand dollars
from me and cheated with my sister. Oh so then
you don't go for better or for worse. That's what
Jonathan Fogel exists for. So I would disagree with you.
I wonder if anybody listening has had their partner go
(10:22):
to prison and stuck with them through their five or
eight year prison sentence. Sounds like a lot. But yeah, well,
I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
There's probably certain things out there that, yes, you will
stick with your.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Partner for bank Rod, Yeah, life Rod.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
Honestly, Yeah, probably would still stick with them at that point.
If they stole personally for me though, no, absolutely not
get out of my life for me. If they did
something awful like I said, murder, No, I'm probably not
gonna stick with them because I didn't sign up to
marry a murderer.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Why put your life on hold for a murderer or
somebody who abuses somebody something like that.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
No, and if you went to jail for murdering somebody,
then clearly you don't care that much about your partner
that you did something that rash that would put you
into jail.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
What if somebody was stalking you? But let's just say
you and I were married.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
What if somebody was stalking you and so I took
care of it, took care of my baby girl, Bailey,
and I murdered them.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That way, you didn't have to worry about them. I
did that for you. I don't think you needed to
murder it found fine you ask Yeah, did you even
ask that?
Speaker 4 (11:21):
I don't have to ask you because women shouldn't have
to ask their men for things.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I am such a great partner that I know, Bailey.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
I know there might be a line that's drawn, though
I wouldn't such as murder.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
For the record, I would not marry vant. Oh, thanks
for clarifying.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
We're all wondering the question on everybody's ye what do
you think do you? I don't think so because I
think that even if they did bank fraud, they have
deceived me by bar like Susan. How could you explain
all of these checks that are coming in for twenty
thousand dollars and ten thousand dollars. Oh, well, you know,
(11:55):
I did some investing and then I found out later
that she was lying. It was bank fraud. And she's
not only broken the low, she has deceived me and
lied to me. I got no use for that.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
So everybody changes in their life at some point, whether
it's like, you know, for good or for bad. Susan's
not the same person today that you married what twenty
whatever years ago. Also sometimes, and this is one of
my irrational fears, is that one day I'm just gonna
be driving and somebody God forbid tries to jump in
front of my car or something.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Then I go to prison.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
That's not right for me, And now Alyssa has to
leave me because somebody else chose to jump in front
or I don't know, just some type of crime.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
You're not you're not guilty. Then somebody jumped in front
of your car.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
What if there's no proof of that, If they just say, oh, vont.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Leek, yeah, let's then she's got to choose to believe you. Yeah,
so interesting. Let me know if you have stayed with somebody.
I think you're wrong on that one, but whatever works
for you. It is one one point three kt able
to be on the free iHeartRadio app and free on
your radio k d WB. Speaking of Jenny, did you
(13:03):
learn to ride the unicycle? I bought a unicycle a
year ago, thinking I'd learned to ride it and I
would impress everybody'd stay fair. It never happened. It sat
in the garage all winter and all summer. I brought
it in for Jenny yesterday.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Yeah, I mean I gave it a try. I tried
it for quite a while. I wouldn't say I've learned
how to ride it. I've learned how to get on
it pretty easily.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
It's tricky.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
I can get about like three spins in before I
fall off, so far a bad. Yeah, I mean it's
pretty hard. The thing that like deetered me from becoming
a master was the fact that I was learning. Andrew
came outside and I was like, what are you doing?
And I was like, I just trying to learn how
to ride a unicycle. Next thing I know, he's taking over,
and he'd be like one more time, one more and
I was like all right, So every three times I
(13:42):
tried he'd tried twelve, and so I ended up having
to share my unicycle and I wasn't very happy.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Fair.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Yeah, but you want to learn before Andrew because you're
super competitive.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
I know, and he started getting further than me, so
I was getting frustrated. But you can see some of
the results on my Instagram if you want to check
it out, because I posted a video at Jenny ad
w B. I took one pretty bad fall where I
fell on my butt.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
W See, that's what I worry about. When you fall
on that, you're gonna fall on your butt or your face.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Usually you can catch yourself easily because it really just
shoots out in front or behind you, so you can
catch yourself. But yeah, that time, I'd had no balance,
just fell flat on my butt.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Go watch Jenny Jenny KDWB and also go watch and
follow vont vont leak l e a k vont leak.
And we reached the goal. So when we're youre when
are we going to do the thong thing? Well?
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Coming up in at seven twenty So.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Okay, so at seven twenty sometime we're going to post
a picture of vaunt and a thong.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
And I just said literally maybe five minutes ago. So
you can tell me which one the more salacious just
a day.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Oh, I say it was? Where where I'll take a look.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
All right, let's do Dave's dirt. We got some catching
up to do on kd WB. Do you sip on
your coffee while we spill the t Dave's Dirt on
kd w B. It's brought to you by Nicolay Law Offices.
Taylor Swift is topping the dirt today, and not for
a good reason. This is kind of scary. She had
three concerts scheduled in Vienna that she has now had
(15:05):
to cancel. Force to scrub three shows. Counter Terrorism intelligence
agents in the US attempted to plot to disrupt the
Eras tour. They alerted Austria's FBI, which arrested two suspects
that had been under surveillance and known to authorities. One
of them had purchased explosive chemicals, but not all the
components needed to assemble a bomb. This was a substantial threat,
(15:28):
unlike what Travis faced last week in Kansas City. Security
could not guarantee the safety of Taylor nor the sixty
five hundred fans in attendance, plus just as many outside
the venue, which is a party in itself, because you've
heard all about the people who gather outside of the
Taylorship concerts because they couldn't get in, but they still
hear the music, and literally thousands of people will gather outside.
(15:49):
The promoter release a statements said officials confirmed a planned
terrorist attacked at the stadium. We have no choice left
at the cancel to Taylor shows for everyone's safety, expressed
her own fears shortly after terrorists killed twenty two arian
A Grande concert goers that happened in twenty seventeen. You
remember that injured more than one thousand. Taylor's that her
(16:11):
team tries to keep under wraps the constant threats against
her life, Yet she's concerned about the Swifties. She says,
there's a tremendous amount of expensive effort into keeping my
fans safe.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
It should. I mean, I'm glad that they're taking that.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
For you know, it's impressive that the FBI and government
officials are able to detect most of these things in advance. Yeah,
I mean, that's really impressive. I have no idea how
they do it. I have no idea how the terrorst
slipped up, but it is impressive that the officials were
able to do that. And that is really all we
(16:45):
know about that one. Now let's move on to some
exciting stuff. The big highlights from Windays Wednesday's Olympic events
track and field. Quincy Hall stunned the crowd when he
ran up from fourth place to finish first in the
men's four hundred meter I got a little clip. It's
(17:14):
all a bunch of yelling, but it's exciting. I think
break dancing starts tomorrow night. Does that sound right you guys?
Speaker 5 (17:21):
I haven't really care about the Olympics really at all.
Do you like to see the highlights that I just
need to know about on Instagram? But no, personally I
have not been like making sure I watch it.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Dailey has been at the Fringe Festival, so she can't.
It's been busy buying cologne and putting on a thong,
so he's not able to make it out there.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
So busy, I've been pickleballing.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Today is national Yeah, sure is? And so also International
Cat Day. Post a picture of your cat. We should
maybe make that on our Facebook page, post a picture
of yea. Yeah, So go to Dave Ryan Show. On Instagra,
on Facebook and post a picture of your cat because
(18:07):
you should be proud of your little cat.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Ive my cat so much.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Every morning I let the dog out of her little
kennel because she stays in a kettle because she pees
if we don't let her be at whatever. And so
they're like a couple of kids begging for cookies. They
follow me into the kitchen and they look up because
they know that Roger the cat's going to get a
little handful of treats and Josie's gonna get so many
milk bones. And they're just so they're like little kids,
(18:32):
and so I have to keep them separated, yes, because
if I don't, then Josie will eat Roger's cat trees.
So that's adorable.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Babies.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Rate Our Online, not the most reliable of sources, says
that Madonna and Hugh Jackmen are hooking up. He is
recently divorced. Madonna's sixty five and gave her personal contact
number when he asked. She attended the European premiere of
Deadpool and Wolverine. The movie has a comedic needle drop
of her hit like a Prayer from back in like
(19:03):
nineteen eighty eight. Nelly has been arrested by the Missouri
State Highway Patrol discovered Nelly in possession of four ecstasy pills.
He was not charged for the illegal drugs, and it
kind of goes on. He says that he was unlawfully
pulled over and the officer needlessly ran a check for warrants,
and the officer then concluded conducted a search without probable
(19:26):
cause where he claimed to have found alleged ecstasy in
Nelly's personal property. You know, we like Nelly because he
came on the show one time, about what four ish years.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Ago, Yeah, about maybe three?
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Co host of the show for a morning Shaboozi is
dating a model and I'll probably say her last name wrong,
Emily Radikowski rights, get it right, I thought, I thank you.
They went to the premiere of an album party. They
arrived hand in hand. People described it like a grand entrance,
announcing their relationship as two am approach. They part of
(20:00):
the party together in an suv waiting curb side for them.
Adorable Lady Gaga is getting married, but she's covering her
assets with a massive prenup. She is worth nine hundred
million dollars. I didn't think that Gaga would be worth that.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Yeah, that seems like a lot.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
It's a whole lot of nearly a billion dollars. And
this guy doesn't really need to have his eye on
Gaga's fortune. He's already worth about five hundred billion dollars himself.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Must be rough.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
I don't know what he does, like.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
An entrepreneur or something. Yeah, he is an entrepreneur, is
that right? But like of what, who knows? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
I have to look into him. Okay, see what else
I got here? Kesha intends to record TikTok with a
lyric change, but she doesn't right now have the legal
rights to it. Wake Up in the morning feeling like peens,
I'm gonna hend this.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
City and live shows.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Recently, because of everything going on with Diddy, she's been
saying wake up in the morning, like FP Diddy. I
don't know if that's what going to change it too?
Really okay, but yeah, she hasn't been singing it like that. Yeah,
because she did.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
He well she thinks like like, oh I see, I see.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
I was like, and I know Shania Twain to Brad
Pitt out of her song, and she says, like Ryan Gosling,
now because of.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
All the drama with him, because she.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Goes, what are you? Who do you think you are?
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Brad yea impress me?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
So now she says, who do you think you are?
Ryan Goslin? Oh that's kind of funny. I really didn't
know that. And if there's anything else good here, Blake
Lively says that she and Ryan Reynolds are romantic.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
We both love love.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
I've never associated better with someone than Baslerman who just
like everything is like love and fireworks and romance. And
my husband is the only man I've ever known who
sees life that way.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Okay, coming up on, you can't make this stuff up,
the things that we are going to miss about summer.
Think about it. What are you going to miss about summer? Listen?
We still got a month and a half, a good
solid six weeks left of summer before it's all pumpkin
spice and warm sweaters.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Pumpkin yet it's yes, I wouldn't die, I think, no,
it's not.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
At some places I saw seven eleven started putting out
pumpkin spice lattes and slurpies.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Slopy you serious sounds weird to me?
Speaker 1 (22:18):
That does sound weird. We'll cover the things that you're
gonna miss aboutummer and the daily Bailey coming up in
a minute on kd double U B text you didn't
need me, thank from us. We're always here answering text
at kd WB one. Summer is not over by any means,
(22:41):
but with schools starting in that parts of the country,
and you got Halloween sas and Michaels with Susan byn
yarn because she's a big knitter crowcher now and there's
Halloween stuff and the imminent return of pumpkin spice everything.
It's not good news for fans of summer Like me.
Summer is my season. It's I jam. The days are long,
they're warm. I love hot sweat, I love all that stuff.
(23:07):
Sixty three percent of us say we wish summer lasted longer,
and a third of those don't want summer to end.
They wish it lasted two months longer. I think the
thing about summer's ending in Minnesota is it's not We're
not like North Carolina or Tennessee or even Colorado. It's
butt ass cold here in the winter time. Yeah, winters
here are a whole different animal, but as cold they.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
It's last winter, it was pretty okay, other than.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Other than last winter. But it's the days are dark
and short and wet and cold, and.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
That's the worst part of it, is the lack of
sun because it's already coming up at like six now,
and it's like it was up at.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Like four thirty months ago.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You know, It's true. Here are the things that we'll
miss most about warm about summer, and one is warm weather.
Another one wearing fewer layers of clothes, summery, fruit barbecues,
and eating ice cream.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
I hate ice cream.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
You're round, Yeah, but I think that the thing I'll
miss about summer is just being able to walk around
outside without like putting on a jacket and freezing and
wind blowing up your back. And that's the best part,
taking your dog for a walk, and just like being
able to sit outside and read or play on your phone.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Yeah all right, you.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
Were crying about it yesterday, you and me about it
being cold.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Oh yeah, yeah, because in the summertime, the sun comes
up at like four thirty in the morning. Yeah, and
in the wintertime the sun goes down at four thirty
in the afternoon.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Let's do the Daily Bailey on kd WB.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
What you got Bailey Jane, Well, I did a pivot
today because it's International Cat Day and I didn't know that.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Until I came in today.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
So I'm just going to talk about my cat because
this is the Daily Bailey, so I can do whatever
I want. So, first of all, I had a lot
of cats growing up, family cats, and my favorite cat
and he's still kind of his my favorite cat to
this day. His name was Blinky, and he was a big,
fat he was like seventeen and a half pound cat.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
He was orange, and he.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
Liked to be the little spoon when you would go
to sleep at night, and so you would hold a
little baby kitty like he was a like a stuffed animal,
and he would sit on your lap and he was
so sweet and so wonderful.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Anyway, Blink he passed over to the Rainbow Bridge in college.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
So a couple of years ago, I got my very
own cat, my very first cat. That is my cat.
His name is Cap, That's Capp. He's named after my
friend Katie Cap. If you're listening any went high school
with me, you know Katie Cap. And I got him
in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to drive like two and a
half miles.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
On blue there's cats everywhere.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 6 (25:41):
But so I went on petfinder dot com and I
searched by large and extra large because I wanted a
fat cat, and I also searched by color, and I
really liked my orange fat cat in my childhood, so
I looked for an orange fat cat.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
And he was the cutest cat.
Speaker 6 (25:59):
He had the cuestle face, and he was on the
last page on Petfinder.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
And you can like narrow your search.
Speaker 6 (26:05):
To be specifically like a bunch of different things, an
adult cat, a kit and whatever, and he was just
the most perfect. And I remember emailing them being like, Hi,
I want this cat, but I can't come and get
it until this day. Can you hold on to him?
And they said yes? And he had been adopted before,
because I was stalking him for sure for a while.
He had been adopted before and then returned. Somebody returned
(26:26):
a cat that they adopted, David, how awful is that?
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, you're not supposed to return him. You're supposed to
drop him off in the cub party. No, OK.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
But it's a good thing that they returned him, because
then I got him and now he's my tiny little baby.
He likes sitting in the window no, I'm not done.
He likes sitting in the window. He likes to play
with his little cat and a pickle toy thing. He
likes to nap in his little cat tree. And yesterday
he took a nap with me and I took like
a tour nap and he was with me the whole time.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
He's the big spoon when we now, you're going to a.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Crazy cat lady. That'll be Bailey.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
I wish I could have more than one. I can
only have more. I can only have one because my
landlord said only one. But I wish I could have
one in every room. Okay, walk into a room. You
know for a fact, don't get her started.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
There will be one there.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
If you want to thrill Bailey, find her on Instagram
and send her cat videos videos.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
I'm going to post a picture of my cat today
because it's international cat tad.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
You know what, you remind me so much of Lena
in so many ways. You're number one both nerds. Number two,
you're both annoying and and number three. I would never
be able to get Lena's attention during the show. Are
you looking at you? Cat videos?
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Watch videos?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I've got that somewhere I could have a song of
her like watching lots of cat videos and she did.
I could never get her attention.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Still that in my household, I'll bet you do. Thank
you for the day, Thank you guys for listening about
my cat.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
A week from tomorrow and I we're going to be
doing a happy hour out at Smash Park in Roseville,
all of us from the Day Ryan Show, we're gonna
be there. We're gonna hang out six thirty until about
eight thirty or so. We've got prizes, we got games,
We've got drink specials. I'm probably gonna bring along some
copies of my book as people of asking you bring
along copies of your book. For sure, I'll do that.
And it's like smash Park is kind of like games
(28:17):
and drinks and food and things like that.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Different things.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
There's ax throwing, pickleball, bag toss or cornhole whatever you
call it.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
It depends on what state you live in, right, right,
So there's a bunch of fun things to do there
besides just come hang out with us.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Okay, We'll do that a week from tomorrow night from
six thirty until eight thirty at Smash Park in Rosevilt
