Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is finally for Friday. It's one on one point
three k d W B went the Fairy yesterday. By
the way, before we get started, Benson Boone right now,
Benson Boone tickets right now at this moment, we're gonna do, uh,
you know what we decide, We're gonna do whatever. Are
gonna blow these tickets out every hour on the five.
So now O five, seven, O five, eight oh five,

(00:22):
and nine oh five. So you need to call in
and you need to what do you need to do?
Do it back? You need to do a backflip on
the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Well, you know you can do that if you'd like.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
But what you actually have to do is you're going
to hear a song of Benson Boone's ads flipped backwards
because he likes.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
To do backflips on stage.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
So we'll play a little clip of that for you,
and then you're gonna guess what the title of that
song is.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
You get it right. You're seeing him tonight at the
acts tonight, so.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
We're breathing, we're probably breathing the same air as him
right now. Maybe they probably don't show up until like
two minutes before they go.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Sometimes artists do sometimes we'll get in the night before.
So depending on what his tour schedule is, maybe he's already,
maybe he'll be at the Minnesota State Fair today.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Oh my, imagine you got out with a bucket of cookies.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Honestly, he would kind of blend in with a lot
of Minnesotan dudes.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
He's like he lives in Northeast.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
He's got a mullet and a mustache, like he could
be anybody he goes to breweries. Yeah, just give him
like a maacha, like a motorcycle shirt and like a
flat biled hat and he's in Minnesotan.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Done, all right, So call me now six five one
nine eight nine Katie WB and we will give you
the backward song clip and then you got to try
to guess what is. Did you see the video, you guys,
it's on my Instagram of the thirteen year old girl
and her mom that won while they were on a
boat on Lake Minetanka yesterday. Yes, oh it was. It
was probably my favorite favorite winner we've had in a

(01:42):
long time. Is a little while she's little, she's thirteen,
she's out on a boat. I said, Hi, who's this Quinn?
Where are you right now? On the lake. Oh really,
which lake? Lake, Minnetonka? Which bay? Where are you? And
she's like, uh, Lafayette Bay. And so we played the
clip and there's a video of her and her mom
and her brother and her sister, taken by her ski instructor,

(02:04):
and she won. It was it was just unbelievable. If
you get a chance, go watch it. It's on my Instagram.
And that was one of our big winners yesterday. Right
now though, we're pounding through the phones looking for another
excited Benson Bood fan that can go to the show tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I was the traffic getting on to the ferry yesterday.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I'm a little worse than expected. I would say it
wasn't bad until I got to I think it's Raymond
Avenue right by Como. He turned by that gas station
by the railroad bridge, and then it's it's just stopped.
It just stopped, and it crept along probably a half
an hour of traffic from Raymond and the railroad bridge
to the entrance to the Faery.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Late.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I was a little bit late. Well, I'm gonna be
honest with you. I got a pork chop on a stick.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I was going to say, did you get that I.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Stopped shout out to Jennifer, who runs the pork Chop
on a stick, and I thought I carried it over
to the KDBB booth. But I thought, I'm not going
to sit there and eat it while people are going, Hey,
I love Katie'll you be? I love Kate, you bee
say hi to Jenny for me. So I sat down
on a bench, knowing that I was already ten minutes late,
and I ate the pork chop lonely by myself so
I could actually enjoy it rather than eat while people

(03:14):
are trying to talk about.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
kJ to knock on the back door like they told
you to, like, hey.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I'm I sure did, yes, yes, And then I felt
a little bit bad because I thought, are they expecting
me to pay for it? Because she said I got
one for you if you bring it by, And then
I thought I took it for free.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I'm she made it very clear that they were going
to give you a fighter. I think, so did I.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
What if I walked away and they were going, God,
what a pig that guy? You skate? He thought I
was giving it to him for free.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
B words, the poor sixteen year old cashiers registers off
now because of Dave ry Is.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I don't know what happened, Damn Dave Ryan. Anyway, we
had a great time at the fair yesterday. Go check
out the pictures. There are several pictures, including one person
two people who admitted that they were on mushrooms. They
were on mushrooms and but guess what, we're on mushrooms
right now. And I'm like, no, are you serious?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
There's a surprise.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah, it was kind of fun. Kelly is on the
phone right now. Good morning, Kelly, Good morning. Where are
you this morning? Kelly? Okay? Good all right, here we go, Kelly.
You know how the game works. I'm gonna play a
backward song for you from Benson Boone. It might be tough,
it might be easy. I'll play it three times. If
you can get it. After three plays, you get one.

(04:23):
Guess you're going to the show tonight? All right? All right?
You ready?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Here we go. That's play number one. Any idea yet?

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Not yet?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Okay, here's another one that was play number two. I'm
gonna give it to you one more time. Kelly. Good luck, Kelly,

(05:00):
it's all you. What do you think?

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Let's see is it?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I'm gonna guess in the stars. No, I'm sorry, it's
not no. It's called Man and Me. It actually sounds
a lot backwards. What's that she's like?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Can I guess the second song?

Speaker 3 (05:26):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
No, no, no, no, good try a Kelly. You gave
it your best shot. The day will get better from here. Okay,
you have more chances to Yeah, we'll do it again.
It's seven O five, eight oh five and nine o five. Kelly,
go have a good day, all right, thank you bye?
Seven five, eight O five and nine o five on
KT will you be coming up in a second, we
will have War of the Roses. It was a spicy one.
It was a trap set by somebody who said they

(05:49):
a lot of people said she's crazy. Set a trap
for him in the laundry room to see whether he
washed the sheets while she was out of town. If
he washed the sheets, you know what that means. And
War of the Roses is next on Katie w B.
All right, were run a little bit later on Fridays.
We always do because a War of the Roses. But
it's worth it. Okay, it's it's gonna be a great day.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Four.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Hey, we need you to tell us what song you
want to sing along? With on the sing along song
of the day, because we're gonna do that in a
couple of seconds. So send me a text message at
Katie w B one and say, Dave go back to bed,
go back to bed, and we'll do your sing along song.
What song would be great to sing along with? Like
yesterday we did hold On for One More Day, which

(06:36):
was great.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
All I can think of right now is like, what
is a state fair song?

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Our state Fair is a great stah.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I was talking eat.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
It by weird Al or like Yummy by Esber, which
I know those aren't really like this sing along.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
You're gonna be like driving in my car.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Corn Dogs? Is there a song called corn not?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Unfortunately no, Sorry Sidney Attacks at KATIEWB one will play
it for you in a second. We'll give you give
us some ideas. So if you wanted vacation inspiration thirty
years ago you went to a travel agent, they're still around,
but things are a little bit different now, especially now
that chat GPT can pump out full itineries. But there's

(07:20):
still a lot of options. A survey ask people where
they get their travel inspiration, and overall YouTube is number one,
so they're like, okay, where should I go, Maybe they'll
be like top ten tours sea spots in Minnesota or
top ten tourist spots in the United States or whatever.
Recommendations from family and friends is next, followed by Facebook,

(07:43):
travel documentaries and even regular movies. When you break it
down by generation, Boomers really avoid the social media. They
get recommendations from family and friends, travel TV and documentaries,
and travel books. Which travel books, They're still out there,
believe it or not. The biggest information for gen z
is TikTok so basically annoying influencers, and they also use

(08:06):
a lot of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and movies. Roughly zero
percent of gen Zers are using travel books and roughly
zero percent of boomers care about TikTok travel montages. But
then neither do Gen xers or millennials. Their biggest inspirations
are similar YouTube, Facebook recommendations from family. But AI is

(08:28):
going to have more. You know, quick, K, We're a
family of four, we got a budget of this. We're
from Milwaukee and we want to go somewhere for five days.
Give me ten places we would enjoy type of thing.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I like TikTok just because it shows a lot of
the places and like maybe excursions or like the types
of food, and then sometimes people do break down the
pricing or even how to get cheap pricing.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
I'm surprised that something wasn't on there that I thought
was like pretty important. It's something called meetmeofgrid dot com. Yeah.
I don't know if you've ever heard of that website,
but it's a travel blog by someone on this show,
and there's lots of great information.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
You have a travel blog.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
I've been waiting to tell you, guys.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
See, that's interesting because I actually I started a travel
blog because I've planned a lot of my travels, uh
based on watching people's travel blogs. Yeah, versus social media,
because I feel like there's more information about like what
you really actually need to know. Liket can spit out
a ten day itinerary, cool, but are they going to
tell you how long you had to wait in line

(09:24):
to get to like the parking lot to get to that.
I know That's why you like need the actual real
life a person from people.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Yeah, and I love I like also using TikTok in
general because you get to see it. But that's like
I have a whole folder that's just travel, and then
once it shows me a place like, Hey, you should
go here, I'll open up Google Maps, look it up,
and then flag it as a place that I want
to go. So if I do ever go over there,
I'll already have like a Shmorgas sport of little like pins.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
To choose from.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
See, I get lost with stuff like that, and so
instead I just do something where whenever I'm planning trip,
then I start like a fuller.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Okay, there's some ideas for that. Hey, here's our sing
along song of the day. Great suggestion from about ninety
eight or so. You know this song. It's your sing
along song of the day on kd WB.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Keeping our finger on the pulse of Tensiltown Dave's Dirt
on kd w B.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Got to give a shout out to Grace because right
now Grace and Mama are driving in separate cars to
drop her off at SDSU South Dakota State University. It
could be San Diego State University. You don't have a feeling,
it's South Dakota State University. This mom is so happy,
proud and excited for her. Love you like crazy, Grace
from Mama desiree. Thanks for listening on KWB in the

(10:49):
dirt today. Well, first of all, we got more Benson
Boone tickets every hour. The show is tonight, and we'll
do another pair at seven five on kd WB. What
do we got into dirt today?

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Jenny's So, Taylor Swift once again released another option to
get one of her vinyls. So I don't really I
didn't see this if she did another countdown, but I'm
assuming she probably did. But she says that these colorful
albums called the Baby That Show Business Edition, we're available
for once again forty eight hours. Well supplies last. How
long did it take for them to sell out? Thirty minutes? Well,

(11:25):
so if you got one of those, good for you. Honestly,
eventually you'll get one of her vinyls. It'll just be
after her music comes out, and like they're just a
plethora of home.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Target.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
You know.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Millie Bobby Brown who we know from Stranger Things. She's
the girl who plays eleven. She is twenty one, her
husband is twenty three, and they just adopted a daughter.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Really, yeah, that's a very young age to well, I agree,
you're still kind of a child yourself at that age.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, they said, we're beyond excited to embark on this
beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.
And then there were three And what's wild to me
is that? So Millie and Jake Bonjiov? Oh bon Jovi?
Why is it spelled bon Giovi.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Spells his name?

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yeah, bio. Something's son right?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Every day it is? It is?

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Yeah, I was born today.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
So Milly and Jake have been together since twenty twenty one,
and then now since then they have gotten engaged, gotten married,
and adopted a daughter in less time than it's taken
the people who made Stranger Things to.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Make the final season.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
So she was like, I've got something.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah, there's something odd about that one. Either she is
way mature beyond her years or she's way immature, because
you don't adopt a twenty at twenty one years old
a baby unless you really know what you're getting yourself into.
Uns people romanticize having a baby. It's not a romantic thing.
It is a lot of work and a lot of
commitment and a lot of mess.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
And they were married, I mean she was married twenty
if not nineteen.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Lil nas X got a First of all, he was
in the hospital because he was walking around Ventura, which
is just like a boulevard in La acting kind of crazy.
This is audio of him acting the little nuts.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
No no, no, na nah nah, Hey, it'll be late
to the party tonight.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
We're at you know where it's at.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
No, go ahead, babe, No no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
He's wearing underwear and just cowboy boots.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Say that again.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
He's only wearing underwear and cowboy boots walking down the.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Streets on this Okay.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
Wow, So this happened that and then people thought that
he was like under the influence or about a stuff
for some type of overdose. So yesterday, like early in
the morning, he went to the hospital and it was
not They weren't sure if they were going to charge him,
but as of last night, they officially charged him with
the crime. I guess I don't know because he was
not dressed or I don't know what the crime.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
He was charged with battery, okay, because he got a
little aggressive with the police officers.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, yes, and so that he was transported
to a jail. I don't know. My group I was
talking yesterday if this is a cry for help or
this is him trying to, you know, roll out for something.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
It's a rollout. I think he probably was on drugs.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
I think he is young, so that doesn't really surprise
me that he, like is in that industry, probably was
doing some drugs. It was like four in the morning,
he was walking on the street. It is a cry
for help no matter what, because you shouldn't be doing
things like that totally.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
But I know that there's some people that are like, oh,
Lonas X hasn't been around lately, so this could be
something he's doing for relevancy.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I mean, I don't know about relevancy.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, if you're gonna do relevancy,
why pick Ventur Boulevard. Go down Sunset Boulevard. Come on now,
is that the bigger That's the much bigger boulevard Sunset
or Hollywood Boulevard. This weekend, wrapping up really quick with
the dirt brought to you by six one two Injured
Heimer and Lammer's Injury Law documentary on Netflix tonight, the
documentary special The Truth about Jesse Smolette that should be interesting,

(14:55):
and also tonight on Channel five, Search for the Truth
the Amanda not Story, which is just such a weird
and disturbing sort of a case. But those are both
on tonight. We are coming back in a second with
Benson Boone tickets. We're also gonna talk to Jonah Murray,
who's gonna be with the State Fair booth tomorrow, and

(15:15):
we're gonna play brand new Dojha Cats song which we
really like. And it's all coming up next on KDWB
