Speaker 1 (00:00):
It feels like that little slapback thing Jenny is going on.
So yeah, it feels like a Monday. I'm not really
sure why, but it is a Friday. We had the
day off yesterday for Juneteenth, and so we weren't here yesterday.
It was a very weird Thursday that felt like a Saturday.
It was so odd.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
What did I do yesterday? Nothing?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
I'm in Colorade. Always did a little work around the
house things like that. Other than that I did it
was one of those days I didn't do anything. Do
you do anything?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Vun? Yeah. We went to this soul Oh hi, David,
can you hear me? Nope, I hear you, Jenny. Okay,
well I got you, Hi, David.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I went to this Soul of the South Side Festival,
this big old June teen thing that they did in
South Minneapolis. It was so nice just seeing so many
people come together. They had like vendors and food trucks
and music and it was a bunch of small businesses
on the strip. So that was nice. And then we
went to a restaurant. I'm not gonna say what restaurant,
but we tried it for the first time, and I'll
give us credit for trying it, but it was not.

(01:02):
From the minute we walked in, it was like the
vibe of the restaurant. Gordon Ramsey would have looked around like, Okay,
I don't know what this is trying to be. And
then the food was also just like let's maybe not
come back here.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So we felt bad. But you kind of have to
try new things, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
It's something like like eighty percent of new restaurants fail
within the first two years or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I don't know. It's a tough, tough business.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
So did you hear about Jenny. She's got some guy
that she's kind of stringing alone. She did not tell me.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
So, yeah, so I kind of caught when it was
he used dropping the other day and he was using
chat gpt to write notes to Jen.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I don't know the whole story what happened, Jenny.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Okay, well, I'm not stringing anyone along. I am simply
having conversations with someone. And the first message that they
sent me though, was really long. I'm like reading it
to a friend and they're like, let me see it,
and I go, okay, here you go, and she goes.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Yeah, he used chatchepet to write that and I go,
what do you mean?

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Like he's literally talking about his life, what he does
for work, all this stuff, and she goes the M dash.
It's a dead giveaway. And I'm like, so you got
your dash. And then you know, when you do two together,
like a word document automatically makes it just one longer dash.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
Sure it's an M dash.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
So apparently when you see that in a bunch of writing,
that's a dead giveaway that chat ChiPT.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Wrote that, Yeah, I've heard that before.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
I've never heard that in my life.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
So I was like, what, So I'm looking at it
and I was like, this is so strange because everything
that It's not like he had some kind of scientific
research behind what he was saying in his wording, you know,
like it was very much like this is what I do.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
For work, I have a dog, I do this, I
do that for fun, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
And then I'm like, why would you ask chat gyp
to write some pretty basic things about yourself?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
You know, how lame of a person you have to be,
like not like put your own effort into his like
and how it's not hard to say, yeah, I got
a dog, like play pick a ball, I like to
know ride motorcycles. Whatever doesn't it doesn't take any So
what did he say in his chat GPT.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I mean it literally was just that.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
He was just telling me about himself, like what he
does for work, what do he like to do for fun,
where he's traveled, and so I'm like, it feels like
he might have just wrote something about himself, threw it
in chat GPT he said make make this sound better, yeah,
and then took that and then sent it to me.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Because is that a red flag?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Because I'm thinking this is okay, because I'm thinking twenty
years down the road, when Jenny's married with this guy
and has kids, they'll be like, how did you meet?
And they'll tell the chat GPT story adorable? Yeah, maybe
worst thing ever.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
It's not it's like it's your vows, but still it's
it's because it's not your vows. It's not something so sentimental.
It's literally just like, tell me about yourself. That's why
it's a big red flag.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
So I will say though, that was the first message
that he sent me, and ever since then there's been
no m dashes, So I don't know if he was
just like, OK, nervous for that first like long message
or something.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
So you're still messaging with this boy, yeah, very much.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So Oka good plans to see him.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
He's you know, I'm being very honest to say that
I'm not exactly looking for anything right now. So I
told him that, and so, yeah, it's just a little
casual chit chatting. Maybe we'll get shoffee soon.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Now, there was several guys that you were stringing along.
Was he the one that was really good looking or
was he the one with the personality? Okay, all said that,
And then there's there's the Korean guy. Then she's got
the Korean guy, then the guy that she thinks is
from Canada, but he might be from Duluth because he
says a a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
All right, So she's got several guys out there.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
See, this is why I can't tell Dave anything, because
I'm not like the Korean game.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Okay, shut it.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Now that I'm single again, it's like, Okay, I want
to get back out in the world, but I can't
tell Dave anything without him ambushing me on the radio
about it. And you're going to ruin everything. I'm here
for it because the Korean guy, No, he sounds really nice.
He's really nice. Yes, against great hair.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
But then the Canadian guy, well we think he's Canadian,
but he could be from Duluth because he says alive.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
We're not sure whether he says he's a lumberjack, but
I'm like you enough to be a lumberjack.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Does he have a How big is this beard? How
full is the lumberjack I've got? It's got a very
severe beard.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Only I've seen his closet, only flannels in his.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Close Here's the good news. At least you got something
interesting going on in your dating life. Bailey's like, while
I had a date with my cat again. Good, at
least you got something going on. Bon and I we
have no stories. Tell me so good. Go with the
Korean guy. I like him a lot. We'll be right back.
War of the Roses coming up next on k d

(05:44):
d w B U fur Hey, we're doing the feel
good sing along song of the day coming up at
a second. You got to sing along song that you
would love to hear on the radio to boost your mood.
It's proven to boost your mood. We'll do that in
a second. Send me a text at KDEWB one five, three,

(06:08):
nine to two one. Also, we're about another fifteen minutes
away to win that trip to Nashville for Suprenda carpenters.
Some hanging under that one. A couple of things about summer.
You know, it's first day of summer today. Who summer
day of the year too? Uh, that's right. It is
the spring equinox, so it's the longest day. They get
shorter from here, but they but it's the whole country

(06:30):
is under like a heat dome. That's why it's so
hot right now. Pretty much where the whole country was
getting rained on last week, everything was canceled and drowned out.
This week it's everybody's hot. So a couple of things
about summer. First of all, summer is open season for
ut eyes. Why yep, so pay attention. Thirty times more

(06:53):
common in women than men. A doctor explained that ut
eyes are more common in summer because of the combination
of heat, humidity, and dehydration weakens your immune system. So
try to keep cool and hydrate. Hydrate, hydrate so you
don't get a uti because man them are uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Am I right? I ask a question like this is
not me? Do guys get UTI's is that a thing?
They can but not as common as women.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Okay, got to drink wue cranberry juice is so gross?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Vodka?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah, there you go, Now you're good.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Also, the thermostat setting for summer. An article on Marthastewart
dot com says the ideal indoor temperature is seventy degrees,
but if you want to save money and not crash
the grid, then you can put up with seventy eight degrees.
And so the higher you turn up your AC, the
more money you save on your energy bills. So you

(07:50):
can be very comfortable at seventy. But if you want
to save money, you can still be pretty comfortable at
seventy eight degrees.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
No, no, no, no, I will never ever have my
thermostat below sixty eight, So it's always sixty eight or
sixty seven.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Are going down? Seriously?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yes, because I mean, oh really, okay, I like my
MID I don't like to freeze, but I seventy sounds
about right to me.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
I have had AC on quite yet for the year.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
I have like upstairs because my bedroom's up there and
there's not great insulation, but I haven't turned the AC
on for the main level.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I think this weekend is going to be the weekend
I have.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
To though it's supposed to it is gonna be hot
this weekend, Jenney.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
It's like there's an excessive heat warning that starts tomorrow
afternoon into Sunday evening because it's going to be like
upper nineties.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
So yeah, didn't need that ac be working. And if
you yeah, you doesn't work and I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
And by the way, during the Minnesota Goodbye, it was
funny because Jenny was like, you know, we were recording
the Minnesota Goodbye, and Jenny didn't realize that her microphone
was on, and so she was spouting off during the
regular morning show. And so if you heard it, yeah,
we we caught that pretty much right away.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
So yeah, goodnights.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah, thing skip a little crazy on the Minnesota Goodbye sometimes,
but that first couple of minutes, luckily nothing went off
the rail, So right, you heard, I didn't say anything inappropriate.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
And sometimes we do. All right, coming up, we're gonna
do Dave's dirt.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
We're gonna talk about what big celebrity was supposed to
be an et but they got cut. And also the
creators of Cobra Kai tried to get a big celebrity
to be on the final season. They reached out, they said,
here's what we want to do, here's the money, and
she said, n not interested. Who was that cover that
on Dave's Dirt coming up in a second on KATWGB.

(09:35):
Also we got our sing along song of the morning.
What'd we choose for today, Jenny, Well, I'll leave it
up to you.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Vont Okay, do you want to do thrift Shop Malcolmore
or All.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Star smash momin You know, I thought Maclamore was the
best rapper of all times.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
And we're going on to thrift shop.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
Okay, all right, that's what we're doing today, Dave thrift
Shop for.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Sing along first song of the day or not first
song that sing along song of the day on KATIEWB.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Give us five minutes and we'll give you the dirt
Dave's Dirt on kd w B.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Rody By six one two Injured Heimer and Lammer's Injury Law.
Harrison Ford was supposed to be in ET. I don't
know what he was supposed to be in ET for,
but he was supposed to be in ET and.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
He got cut. But that was after Star Wars like
five or seven years after Star Wars.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
So he wasn't like old like daddy or not old,
but like a dad age at that point because he
wouldn't have been with the kids in it.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
He could not have been in one of the kids,
no way, no, because he would have been probably thirty
five by the time et came out. Other people who've
been cut from big movies and we don't know what
their role was. But for example, Angela Bassett was cut
from Mister and Missus Smith. Kevin Cosner was supposed to
be in The Big Chill and he got cut. I
think he was a body I'm not sure in The

(10:48):
Big Chill and they cut out his part.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I'm not sure about him.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Have never even heard of That movie. Is not an
older movie.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It is definitely in nineteen eighty five year.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Ye a Big Chill I used to watch.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I used to watch a lot of Cobra Kai and
I just kind of got burned out on it was
just silly. I mean, these kids would have these ridiculously
violent fights in the middle of school, kicking each other
in the face multiple times. Then they'd get up and
go to lunch and it was like, Okay, it's just
kind of stupid, but it recognized that it was stupid,
and it's kind of a good show anyway. They tried
to get Hillary Swank to be on the final season,

(11:23):
but she said need that one. But she was very
respectful about it. She said that she was anyway, She
just was. She said they reached out and there was
a path for her to appear. She was very respectful.
We never got that opportunity to sit down and pour
our heart out the way we typically do things to

(11:43):
bring characters from the legacy, but she just was not
interested in Cobra Kai. Let's see if there's any audio here.
Smiley no Noah Cyrus is teasing going country. She's got
a new single called new Country with Blake Shelton.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
He gets he gets so hard to know where you
are going when you don't know.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
Okay, it sounds like Blake is the feature on that song. Yeah,
that it was the background vocals.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
And speaking of country, post Malone says that he's going
to be doing another country album because you know, f
one trillion he dropped I think earlier this year and
it had literally every country artist on the planet, and
he said, the next one's going to have more fiddle,
more pedal Steel and more guitar solos in it.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Okay, I lo key miss rap Posty, but country Posty,
I'm not mad.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
At it's It's cool that he can do, like dive
into both and he does a good job on both
of them.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Don't we have?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Oh? I was gonna say, you guys seen the new
movie F One that's out this weekend. I think there
was some previews for it. Well, basically, there's a ton
of really good music in it, and so we're going
to be playing a ton of the artists this weekend,
Tate McCray at Cheeran Doja, Cat Rose more.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
So, if you want to see the movie, you can
go see it in theaters.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
I heard that it's a stacked lineup and I misspoke.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
It's not until June twenty seventh that's out, but go
see it on June twenty seven. I know web Girlsina
that used to work here, went and saw it and
she was just like, salvating over.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Isn't Brad Pitt in it?

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (13:11):
She was like, mm, the sex of my own.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
So yeah, I've seen the trailers for it and it
does look really good. So it's like a racecar movie.
F One is Formula one in case you don't know so,
and we're gonna be playing some of the music like
in a couple of minutes, right, Not.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
In a couple of minutes, but later on in the show.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yes, Okay, gotcha? Okay cool?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Also ten ish less minutes away from your first keyword
of the day for Sabrina Carpenter in Nashville, hang out
for that. It's all coming up the Friday Dave Ryan
