Speaker 1 (00:00):
I taught somebody who's new to Minnesota a little Minnesota
trick last night. So I was talking to somebody and
she's probably twenty five or so years old, and she's
from I think New Hampshire, Vermont, somewhere back east. And
I said, oh, where do you live. She's like, oh,
I live near Uptown. I said, oh, so, which way
do you go? And she's like, takes three ninety four

(00:20):
to the Lowry Tunnel exit. And I said, oh, I
got a Minnesota hack for you. I said, do you
know how when you go three ninety four and you
get around pen and everybody starts getting in the right
hand lane to get off on the three ninety four
to the four ninety four Lowry Tunnel exit, I said,
do not do that. Do not get in line a
mile back. You wait and you swoop up in the

(00:41):
left lane until it's just about too late, literally almost
too late. There's always somebody who's not paying attention, swoop
in front of him. I do it every time. I've
never waited in that line in thirty years. You know
what I'm talking about, right?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I hate that line.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
That's the key. Wait until somebody is not paying attention.
Because there's always somebody who's on their phone, sowhoop, do
the swoop?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I think whoever designed that was cuckoo bananas bonkers.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
You're right. It was the most poorly designed traffic thing
in Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It really was. I never wait in that line.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
There's like a couple of times I'll get in a
little too early and I'll get mad at myself, like, God,
I could have gotten up further.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
What am I doing?

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So if you don't know that one do the swoop
as we call it the whoop? Yes, it is kind
of funny because I don't know if you've got pictures
of the thing we were taught about yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Jenny, I don't have pictures of it. I wish I did.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
But basically, in the middle of every day, after the show,
we start planning the show for the next day.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Believe it or not, we do plan things for this show.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
But Dave and I are mid conversation, We're talking about bits,
We're coming up with ideas. We look over Bailey's like
hovering over the trash can. Yeah, and Dave turns her
and he's like, what are you doing? She's got a
scissors in her hand, And Bailey was I.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Was cutting off one of like the really long hair
on my arm that I was like, where did that
come from?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
How I'm and so I wanted to cut it off.
And I mean, in my defense, I don't know if you.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Guys were actually talking about anything super exciting, which is
why I got up to do that. But also if
I didn't do it in that moment, I would have
forgotten about it, and then I would have had this
disgustingly long hair.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
How long you know?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I would say it was like an inch, you know, like.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Okay, no, it's like you It's like when you look
at it, you like are looking at your face and
the mirror, and then the light hits it in a
weird way and then you're like, oh my gosh, how
long has that hair been on my face?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
That's like eight inches long.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
You got to be aware of hairs like that. I
remember one time years ago, I was standing in the studio.
Lee Wolsby, who used to be on the show, was
standing behind me. She's like, looks at I didn't see
what she was looking at. She's like, oh my god,
don't let me. Don't tell me that's attached. I'm like what,
And she's like there's a hair on your ear. Yes,
please tell me it's a stray. It's not attached. And
she pulled on it. It was about two and a

(02:50):
half inches long, growing out of the top of my ear.
I will tell you, as a guy, look in the mirror.
Look in the mirror and look for ear hairs. They
might be there. There was somebody in the studio one time.
We were interviewing him and he's back to the window
and the back window was the window was back lighting
the hair on his ears. It looked like he was
sprouting off the side of his ears, not on It's

(03:13):
just to be a couple of two or three inch
long hairs coming off of his.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Ears, like a famous person. You'd give us.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
It was.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
So you're disgusting, You're discussed. No, you all right? Real quick,
wheel opinion spin the wheel daily is going to land
on something. You need to give your opinion about this thing.
What did land on?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I landed on Sydney Sweeney.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Okay, I am not attracted to women, but I am
attracted to Sydney Sweeney. If she wanted to marry me,
I would say yes. She is the most beautiful woman
I have ever seen. Sidney Sweeney. That's my opinion on her.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Hear your opinion on North Dakota, Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I honestly, I don't think I can give a strong
opinion on it because I have never traveled through there.
I've went to South Dakota recently, with the bad Lands
and Black Hills gorgeous, but that's like the only part
of South Dakota, Dakota.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I'd tell you to go to.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Not much out there. There's really not much up.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
So I don't really have anything to say about North Dakota.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Sorry. O Androids, I know some people love them and
prefer them over iPhones. I think there's a conspiracy afoot somewhere.
The android people and the iPhone people have conspired to

(04:35):
not let them communicate well with each other. If you
try to send a video to your friend who's got
an Android, it never goes through. If you send a
text to your friend or a picture to your friend
with an Android, a lot of the time it doesn't
go through. They purposely don't communicate because the iPhone people,
I think you're behind this is the iPhone. They're trying
to get you to switch over and just finally give
up and go go and my android doesn't talk to

(04:56):
my partner's iPhone.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
I think I read somewhere that's conspiracy is real. It
is iPhone's problem. They're the ones who are making all
of the messages green and not blue.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I believe it, and it is one of the reasons
I switched. I had an Android maybe like seven eight
ish years ago up until then, and switch to iPhone
because mostly because of you guys bullying me on the
morning show would be in group chats and they were
like Jetty chat sucks because of you, And it.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Is true, all right, One more ten second opinion. It
is hot dog, hot dog.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Those down my throat. I love a hot dog. I
could eat like four of them in one sitting.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Okay, honeymoons, I think that they're fantastic. I think people
should spend more on honeymoons than their wedding. In my
personal opinion, go take a two week gallivanting trip around
Europe and forget inviting Aunt Clarice wedding because I think

(06:01):
they're better than wedding.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Okay, home Depot I prefer Minards because it's more local.
Home Depot is a giant, big conglomerate.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
What do you mean, how dare Youns is also a
big conglomerate.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
They're more local. They're Midwestern. I think, yeah, you get
home depots all, so I prefer Minards. But they're both dope.
I mean they have everything and they do. They have
a great smell, don't they. That's will of opinions. We'll
be back if you can't make this stuff up. You're
putting something in your microwave that you've been told it's
safe to put in there. It's not safe to put
in there, and I'll tell you what it is. You

(06:39):
could die if you missed the next break. More just
to let you know, today is the last nice day
in a while, is that true, Jam.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Tomorrow's still going to be nice.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
As you said that, we're going to get some strong
thunderstorms tomorrow and also kind of sad. You saw like
there's a bunch of fires up on the north shore
right now. Yeah, yeah, so there. I mean, hopefully those
will all be gone by tomorrow if they get the
storms that we're getting. But yeah, it's gonna change for
the colder on Friday, highs of like fifties per the weekend.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Lord still going to forward to a Memorial Day weekend.
I don't know what it's looking like then, but we're
all hoping for a nice Memorial Day.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Weekend around here, like sixties.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Low sing yeah he low sixties.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, I would take that.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I think that that's a good It's still like you
can go outside with a jacket on weather.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I just wanted to be like lake hot, you know
what I mean, so weird you love that hot? He
like lake to get on the lake and like, you know,
to sit on your little lily pad or go tubing
or whatever. It's got to be like seventy five to
eighty degrees at least. That's what I want to see
a Memorial Day weekend.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Yeah, like a seventy eight.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
That's good O the right perfect temperature. So if you
ever feel a little bit weird tossing something in a
microwave with a ziplock bag, well you might be on
to something. This is important. There's now a class action
lawsuit accusing zip Block of misleading consumers by labeling plastic
bags is microwave safe and freezer friendly. The bags may
shed microplastics when exposed to extreme temperatures, which can pose

(08:09):
health risks, so that basically they're made out of petroleum
so you get little teeny tiny microplastics in your body
and that's not good for you. The idea is that
they can be put into a freezer or a microwave.
They're not safe under those conditions, and the risks are
not being told to us consumers, so it's unclear if
it'll be settled. But generally speaking, they say microplastics are everywhere,

(08:33):
and a lot of food spends a lot of time
in contact with plastics. You should know the risks, but
it really is impossible to avoid microplastics.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
You guys, microwave your food if it's in tupperware containers?
Do you keep it in the tupperware container or put
it in a dish and microwave it?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Almost always leave it in the tupperware container.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
I started to try not to do that anymore because
of the microplastics stuff, because I think it just like
accelerates microplastics in your food. Obviously with the heat. I've
never put up a bag get in the microwave, though.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I don't think I have either. No, now that I
think about it, I don't think I ever have. Yeah,
but they say I wonder if zip blocks a little tupperware,
because those are they have tupperware too, right.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
M h.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I think I'm gonna start putting the I'm going to
put him in ceramic bowls now from now on.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Oh you won't. You'll say you will, but you won't.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
You're probably right. Yeah, you're probably right about that. And
a couple of more. I don't have this yet, but
I'm looking for clips. There is apparently a TMZ documentary
about Justin Bieber coming out. Oh and TMZ kind of
dives into what's going on with Justin Bieber, and the
big suspicion is like he's in a weird church, he's
got some drug problems, he's got financial problems. So Justin

(09:40):
Bieber is having a really tough time, and so TMZ
is working on it. They've got a documentary out. I'm
not sure if it's out just yet.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah. Have has TMZ made documentaries before?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
I truthfully don't know, because.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Then because I would wonder about like the validity of
the documentary, iff it's any good just because it's made
by TMZ.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Well, I think t is pretty accurate. I think that's
one of their things, is they they really like have
the scoop on Hollywood. So I think it's probably pretty accurate.
They're not very they're sensational, but they're not lying. They're
not like some other news outlets. I think probably anyway,
we'll look for that. We'll play some clips for you
on Dave's Dirt coming up in a little bit. Let

(10:19):
us know if there's anything going on with you, if
you need a shout out, or a birthday or anything.
It's always fun to hear your name on the radio.
So if you got a birthday or a wedding, or
it's your first day being single, or your divorce comes
final today, let us know. We'll give you a little
happy divorce shout out. It's all here on KATIEWB. Send
me a text at KDWB one Dave Ryan Show one
a one point three kdubub Katy Perry Show. Apparently some

(10:44):
big delays last night. That's the bad news. I guess
there was like a piece of equipment that fell from
the ceiling during sound check. That's not good and didn't
want that fallen on the crowd. Thank god they discovered that,
so they kept everbody outside of the Target center for
a little while, and then once they got inside, they said,
she did a great show, So we'll get some reviews
coming up. If you saw the show last night, send
me your thoughts on that. Everybody I know that. We

(11:05):
got a text from like a half a dozen or
so people said they actually love the show and the
clips that we saw, those isolated clips of her doing
like the weird little baby shark kind of.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
A dance, oh yeah, and like the robotic look.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yes, that was not the entire show. They said it
was really good. We'll get some more reviews coming up
on that on the Dave Ryan Show on one on
one point three KD W B B right back. Hey,
you are never more than thirty minutes away from post
belone and jelly roll tickets, and that show is coming
up on It's called the Big Is it called the
Big Ass Tour? Is that what is called Big Ass

(11:37):
Stadium Tour? Is that what it's called? I think it is.
I think I looked it up. It's I think it is.
I'm not sure. I like the sound of it, a
big Stadium Tour. We'll have tickets for you coming up
in another thirty minutes or so, about seven oh five
on KD double ub We're are we launching into Dave's
dirt right now?

Speaker 2 (11:53):
It is up to what your heart desires to.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna play some
Sobrina Carpenter because I love this song, and back with
Dave's Dirt. We get everything from a review on Katy
Perry's show last night, to the Menendez Brothers and more.
We were just amused at the idea that Kim Kardashian
is going to start in a legal drama called All's Fair.
You know that she wore seven million dollars worth of
diamonds to her Paris Brah jewelry kidnapping trial the other day.

(12:19):
Seven million dollars worth of diamonds.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Okay, I didn't realize it was to that trial. Yeah,
well okay, I mean feels like she was trying to
make a statement.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Then there, We're not sure. Got to give a shout
out to Autumn and fiance Craig. They're getting married in
one month and she is so excited she is screaming.
So congratulations. Let's get started on Dave's Dirt, brought to
you by sixty one two Injured Himer and Lammer's Injury
Law and now the stories that TMC and People Magazine

(12:47):
won't touch Dave's dirt on Katie w B. Apparently there
was some sort of an issue with the Katy Perry
concert last night, and they started late because something fell
from the ceiling during sound check and people had to
wait outside the Target Center. Supposed to start at like
seven o'clock or doors well, but at seven they let
people in. Show started about eight ten. But from all accounts,
everybody said it was a good show.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
M Ted that used to work in promotions here with
at it and I didn't know he was such a
Katie Perry fan.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
He was vibing out.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
I was like, dang, Ted, it looked good from the
videos I saw him posting.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Okay cool. There is a story that Justin Bieber is
the subject of the TMZ story about what's happened to
Justin Bieber And now I got a little clip and
this dives into his finances a little bit. This is
fairly detailed, but I'll think just a little clip of
basically Harvey Levin and some other reporters from TMZ are

(13:38):
talking about his relationship and how he went broke on
a tour that he canceled halfway through.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
Breaking point for Justin Bieber and Scooter Brown.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
But really Justin is the Justice tour.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
W that is the tour where or just And pulled
the plug in the middle and went into massive debt,
and the fans were pissed off and there was just
a lot of finger pointing.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
So I guess what happened is because the company put
up like AEG. The touring company gave Justin forty million
dollars advanced to put up this tour, and then Justin
hoped to make all that money back and then pay
them back their forty million dollars plus whatever he made
on top of it. But he canceled. So not only
did Justin not make any money, he then owed the
touring company AEG like millions of dollars and then they

(14:34):
did a deeper dive and found out that he even
owed more. So Justin Bieber, you would think that he's like,
you know, swimming in money. Yeah, he is kind of broke.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
It's right now.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
You got to think that these celebrities make all this
money and then they still have opportunities to do.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
So many different things.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
He could get some kind of endorsement with Nike or
something honestly probably a pretty big company and make the money.
But they just like choose not to, probably because of pride, you.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Know what I mean, Like they.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Chose it's not really yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Certain things, but they could easily partner with like any
big company and make a ton of money and endorsements.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Is he healthy enough to partner with anybody right now?
You know what I mean? I don't know. I feel
bad for him because he just seemed like he just
grew up a sweet kid and just got butchered by
the whole entertainment business.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, especially as connections with Diddy.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Who did he By the way, some salacious, disgusting details
on the Diddy trial. Have you guys been following this
at all?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
I saw a couple of things about Honestly, I saw
a video of Cassie's husband leaving the courts yesterday and
people just like trying to get pictures with him, And
I don't know, I honestly have been staying a little
bit away from it because it is really disgusting the
stories that they have to detail.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Oh, if you dive in some of the details, like
what did he would have his girlfriend Cassie do he
would I'm not gonna get too dirty, so don't worry
about that'd be careful to keep it moderately clean and
family friendly, but did he would hire a male escort
to party with the three of them, and he would
provide ecstasy and cocaine and all kinds of stuff to
keep them awake for days on end. And so the

(16:04):
question for Cassie is, well, why did you stay with
him for ten years? And she's like, at the beginning,
I was so in love with him, I would do
anything to please him. And then later she said, I
was fearful that if I tried to leave, he would
hurt me.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
And which is what they say about a lot of
like abuse relationships is it's hard to get out of them.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
It's super hard to get out of the.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah, and as evidenced by you know, you try to
get out unless you go to one of these you know,
safe homes, they will follow you. They'll follow you to
your dad's house, they'll follow you your mom's house, your
girlfriend's house, or whatever.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
And she was super young because she's only thirty eight. Now, okay,
he's fifty five, so I can imagine when all of
this was taking place.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
She was like real young, like her brain wasn't even developed.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Though she saw him as like this great person at
first until.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
She got a packed to him.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Well, not only a great person, but it's Diddy. There's
definitely some seduction in like dating someone who's rich, power, power, famous.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Yeah, there's definitely a power dynamic there.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
On a lighter note, Miley Cybers shares the best piece
of advice that Dolly Parton ever gave to her.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Dolly told me, you do you and all lou me
and together will be us.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
And now I just say that.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
To everybody because I'm like, you do you and I'll
do me be us and that would be so cute.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
There's a lot of people that don't agree with that.
It's like you must do just like I do, or
you are a bad person. Division, just sewing more division.
Tell me about this the show with Kim Kardashian. Okay,
it's all fair, it's all fair.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
The trailer just dropped yesterday for this new show. It's
gonna come out on Hulu not till the fall. But
it's called All's Fair and Kim Kardashian is a divorce
attorney in it. Naomi Watts isn't it, and you see
Nash Bats is in it. But basically they're just like
this powerhouse of women that open this big law firm
and they deal with high stakes break up, scandal, all
that kind stuff. The trailer looks actually really good. I

(18:06):
watched yesterday. I think we have a clip of it
if we want to play a.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Little bit deep, Braah, tell us your story. You know
what a girl's best friend is, Diamond her lawyers.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
What do you ladies think you could possibly hit me with?

Speaker 4 (18:19):
That?

Speaker 1 (18:19):
I haven't seen before.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Everything we're going to show you today you should be
intimately familiar with.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
That's bitter, just like all the women who own this joint.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
They kind of did the trailer to that song where
what's the Broadway play? Okay, I thought it was struggle,
but I don't want to misspeak.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
But it sounds like there's a lot of women who
are murdering their.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Husbands or doing bad things to their husbands because their
husbands did bad things to them. So then all these
high power attorney women come in to help them. And honestly,
Kim looked like she was doing some decent acting news trailer.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Honestly, you know she acts every day on her show.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
We all know that reality TV is fake, so she's
gotta be a somewhat of a decent actor.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
What I do think is so very Kardashian is that
she also had she testified for the Paris robbery yesterday
as well, and it just so happened that this trailer
came out on the day that she was testifying in court.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
And it's like, yes, I.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Definitely would not want to have that whole Paris like
robbery happened to me. I'm sure it was super traumatic.
It's just like, wow, those are lined up really well.
That she had that testimony and then exactly that Chris
Kardashian thing. She's like, hey, let's do these two things
at the same time for more buzz.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
And it works, and it works every time.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
When you think that they may note, they will not
go away. Love them all right. That is the dirt
on Katie. Let's have some fun and do winning song Wednesday.
You're gonna vote on which one of these songs you
want to hear the entire song, each of us on
the show, Me, Jenny Bailey, Vaughts on vacation, he'll be
back tomorrow. Are gonna come up with the song? Then
you decide which one you want to play, and then
you call me at six five, one, nine, eight nine, Katie,

(19:59):
you be in say I picked Dave's song or Jenny
song or Bailey song. I'll go first with my song.
Here is my song on Winning Song Wednesday. We played
it in Dave's ukulele club last night, so I was like, oh,
I love that song. So there's my song on Winning
Song Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
I went with a little one direction, what makes you Beautiful?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Okay, there's Jenny's Bailey what is your song?

Speaker 4 (20:24):
And I chose Ariana Grande and z with break Free.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
All right, Jenny's gonna nail this one. This is such
a great song.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Miley song too.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
K d w B. Hi, what's your name? Alyssa? Who's
got your vote today?

Speaker 4 (20:39):

work or school or what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (20:45):

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Okay, well unfortunately, thanks for listening. Have a good day, KATIEWB. Hello.

Speaker 4 (20:57):

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
