Speaker 1 (00:02):
Now, if we would have played another tape McCray song
instead of hearing this voice right now, this one, you
might be in running for some o yea yeah, yeah, yeah,
you'll probably be happy.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
You put a smiler your face.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yeah, if you had heard a second tape McCray song.
It's two for tait. So we're doing that all week long.
So just make sure you're listening. Anytime you hear two
songs in a row. In between those two songs, you're
gonna hear a keyword and you use the talkback feature
on the I Heard app to enter to win those tickets.
Good morning everybody, Hello, how y'all today?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Man, I didn't do this the first weekend, maybe a
couple of weeks that I haven't done anything, And I
don't know if it's just because it was just like
let's take it easy and then like the haze. We're
also going on a trip this weekend, so that might
have been it like keep a chill before you go
out and.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Go crazy where you're going.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
We're going to.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Austin, Texas for two reasons, what for a radio conference,
and then.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
My birthday is next Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
If you didn't know Jenny or Bailey, so we'll make
it like a combined birthday trip and we leave Wednesday.
I've read after the show, so we just kind of
kept the chill, said we we didn't have to spend
a ton of money.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I almost walked in here with Caine this morning because
I played in the most intense kickball league of my
life yesterday.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
And I'm not kidding you. These people don't mess around.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I got pummeled at third base, and not in a
way that I like to be pummeled, you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
So my entire left leg hurts so.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Bad that I almost debated because I have crutches from
when I hurt myself a time before, and I debated
grabbing one of my crutches this morning to help me
walk around because I am in so much pain.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Were you one of the people in high school or
just school growing up that got picked last for things?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Or were people ready to pick Jenny? I want her
on my team.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
No, I'm pretty athletic good. It's not my fault I
got pummeled. It was the fact that this team doesn't.
This league is just crazy, and I only subt I
only subbed at it.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
I'm not in the league.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I don't know if I could full time sign on
to be in this league because it's way too much.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
But I am just letting you guys know.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I'm going to be Dave Ryan today complaining about everything
because my whole body hurst.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Yes, exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
On Monday mornings, we always talk about our favorite picture
from our weekends because if you didn't know the spun now,
we always do a weekend in five picks blog on
Dave ryanshow dot com. So we'll start with Bailey today. Bailey,
tell us a little story. What's your favorite picture?
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Do I sound good on your My microphone sounds quiet?
Is that just me?
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Maybe?
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Cool? Thank you?
Speaker 6 (02:21):
Yeah, so right now, honestly, I'm having a hard time
opening up Dave ryanshow dot com.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Okay, but thank you.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
My favorite pick from this weekend is me and the
two people who are in my cast for My friend show.
Because literally, if Fott did nothing this weekend, I did
all of it this weekend. Hey, Because it's the Fringe Festival.
I always say it's the most wonderful time of the year.
There are like ninety nine different shows in a giant
theater festival around the West Bank and I went to
(02:50):
eighteen this weekend.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
So I saw a lot.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
So it's literally from like one pm until eleven pm
on weekdays and I saw every single slot and we
opened up our.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Show and it went well, it went well.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I didn't know your own show.
Speaker 6 (03:03):
Good for you, Yeah, man, I directed, Baby.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
When can people come see the show you directed? Because
there's another one.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Right yeah?
Speaker 6 (03:12):
If I mean, if they want to see it, they
certainly can. I'm not in it, but we have three
more shows, one on Wednesday and night.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
You'd have to look.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Is there a calendar somewhere?
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Yes, you can literally just like google Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
And my show is called comfort Zone Presents Chemistry and
it's just a My friends are an improv team and
I directed their show.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
So yeah, I love it all right, bomb, what is
your favorite picture?
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Like I said, I kept it pretty chill, but I
gotta always show love to my baby girl, our foster
dog Ava.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
You thought I was gonna say a listen my girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Ha. No. I got like a desk in our room,
so that way I can do because I do a
lot of like other shows for the company or whatever,
and so I got a desk so I could do
it at home, and she just comes and she kind
of curls up like right under me, like literally anytime
I'm sitting at the desk and.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
She is just she gets so big, but she's just
she's so cute. Yeah, she's like, well, we got her.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
She was just over twenty pounds and now she's over
thirty and we've had it for roughly two months.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah, I was gonna say, because I got to meet her,
like only after you had her for a couple of weeks. Yeah,
So she was pretty tiny, and I can just tell
from the pictures that you post that she's getting big.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
She's such a big girl.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
She's gonna be a big girl.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
I'm glad you got her one of those kongs you
can put peanut.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Butter in that, you know. Yeah, shout out to whoever.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Like a lot of people DM me over the weekend
about toys for her, and I got one of the
cong things but treats in But Jenny, what's your favorite
pick on the weekend?
Speaker 1 (04:27):
So I'll probably just go with the unique one, which
is my girlfriend in a super cool classic Thunderbird Corvette car.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I don't know if that's a proper term for it.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
But we did a bachelorette party for my girlfriend this
weekend and one of the girls has this dope car,
so we had her sit in it and the rest
of us are kind of surrounding the car. So I'd
say that one. Because the batchel arette party was super fun.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
It's a fire photo.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Girl's Gone Mild was the theme. So no crazy.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Shots taken, people losing things.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
It wasn't anything like that. It was a very chill
night and I was literally home by like.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Came out or anything or No, I don't think so
maybe like at least not on purpose, you know, like
maybe somebody was bending over to grabby something and yeah,
something pop bo. But that was it so awesome. Well,
like I said earlier, we are going to be doing
two for Tait all week long, so just make sure
you're listening for two Tait songs in a row all right.
(05:24):
Before we get into you can't make this stuff up?
Text in what song you want to hear for our
your sing along song this morning?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
This is the song that we would just want to.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Scream shout in our cars start the Monday Monday off right,
So Texas in Katie W B One five three, nine
two one. And now I'm gonna throw it over to
Van because he was telling us yesterday about something crazy
that happened in Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Imagine, imagine going to Pizza Hut or just your favorite
pizza ria in the cities. You're enjoying time with your
family eating a nice pepperoni pie.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
A pie is a whole pizza. East Coast language, whatever.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I say, confuse us Westerner, You're your whole pie.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
You're eating a whole pizza, and all of a sudden
you start to feel I feel lights, my head's I
think I'm high.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
That's what happened in Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
It happened last October, but it's starting to make the
rounds over eighty people. A THC laced pizza. It's called
famous Yeti's pizza, Jenny.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Have you heard of it?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
I haven't. Do you know what city it's in or no?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
No, but I could find it in a couple of minutes.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Anyway, So there was the oil of the pizza, because
it takes oil.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Jesus, excuse me, cotton mouth over there.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Goodness, the guy that makes the pizzas apparently he had
a oil like a THC infused oil.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
In the kitchen, which is so stupid to me because
why is it? Why is it there?
Speaker 3 (06:43):
But it was next to the oils that you have
to make the pizza, and he mixed them up and
then he made a couple of pies and over eighty
people fell ill after eating the THC oil pizza.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
I want to know how you mix up that with
the like olive oil. You get like an olive oil
and a giant jug that's you know, meant for rest staurants,
and then you have a tiny little THCHC oil like
which one?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Well, I think it's funny because one.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
I mean, obviously, eighty five people is a big number,
but there's a good number of people.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
That are like, ooh, I kind of like this.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
There's like twenty something people that are like, yes, more
THHC pizza.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
More and more and more.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I mean, I'd try it, but gosh, could you imagine
the lawsuit.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
I was gonna say, that is not Yeah, it's not good.
And it's also not legal in Wisconsin. Mm hm, which
is the other thing, like the problem? Why would you
take it into the restaurant?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (07:27):
There were seven people that got hospitalized out of this.
The contamination was ruled unintentional and no charges were filed.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
To be I would have started had having a heart
attack at the pizza place, because like I only do
little small microdocne kind of vibes. Okay, if all of
a sudden I was seting a pizza just laced with
tons of THG.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
I'm like, make me feel like I'm tired.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
I don't know how many like milligrams that ended up
yet start like per slice.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
This happened in a stout in Wisconsin. Sto Ug Scholton stouton.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Okay, Yeah, it's like a suburb of Madison about some
friends that are from there. Interesting, very interesting, I mean delicious.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I don't know why I died trying to get through
that story.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Lord, sorry, great job you did so good. Did you
have your coffee this morning?
Speaker 2 (08:11):
I'm slipping on it right now.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Yeah, more of that.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I got caffeine this morning.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
To you guys, I know you were worried about me.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Well, yeah, because you I am worried about you.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
I am tired, so I was getting more tired.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
I have kids. Here we go, right bay Colt. People
that said that's.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Who were last week around I was bitching yesterday to
the two of them about how I am just like
socially drained. I need four to five business days to
ever to talk to anyone again, because I just had
like a very social weekend. I hosted this Bachelor I
party and then Bailey was.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Like, I'm quite the opposite. I've been to twenty five
friend show and I so hyped to go to more.
And I was like, oh my god, Bailey, I don't
know how you do it. All I'm doing is talking
to people and then enjoying art.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, coming back track for two seconds. I'm reading this article.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I didn't know that eight of the people that had
the TC pizza were under eighteen. So the fact that
there was no like lawsuit or like nobody, oh, there
probably will be, you think in the way, I mean,
did this just happen or no, it happened October twenty
twenty four, but it's just starting to come out. But
it says no charges were filed as there were no
identifiable criminal mastermind to apprehend. Their claiming it was an accident,
(09:17):
like a genuine accident, So many questions.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
I don't know if I believe that.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I do believe it was probably an accident. As a
server myself well, I don't really understand the cooking side
of things. Yeah, but I did confess recently how I
accidentally served an alcoholics smoothy instead of a non alcoholic
one to a child that I realized that if I
took a sip, so those things can happen.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
I bet the pizza that's in the Goofy movie with
the cheese that looks like glue, I bet that had
THHC in it.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (09:44):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Well, I'm sorry, but Goofy's kit or no, there's somebody
in the Goofy movie who is the cheese Yes, yeah,
the cheese guy. Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
All right, thanks for all the texts coming in for
sing along song this morning. So we're gonna pick one,
all right. I have a feeling that we might agree
on this one. Okay, steal My Sunshine by len is it?
We like that to steal my old But it's sing
a long song, that's right. We could do nineteen eighty five,
we could do. I would do this one, however, we
(10:17):
don't have it in the system.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Dear Maria, count me in well, Dear Maria.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
When I would play it for email three mon I
had to physically, like manually enter it.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
So I'm sorry we don't have that one. Otherwise I'd
be like, let's do that, okay, so steal my sunshine.
Everyone agree on that one? Okay to me? All Right,
it's the singalong song of the day.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Let's start your Monday right with a great song. It
is len on one on one point three.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Katie w B.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
We'll give you the dirt, Dave's dirt on Katie WB.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
All right. So, if you guys are fans or if
you're not, Sex and.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
The City, the reboot of and Just like That is
ending after three seasons.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Here's Sarah Jessica Parker talking about it.
Speaker 7 (10:57):
Carrie Bradshaw has domin my professional heartbeat for twenty seven years.
I think I have loved her most of all.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Ah.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
I mean, I really did love Sex and the City
in general. I watched it when I was in college
for the first time, and it like changed me.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
I was like, oh my gosh, I'm a new person,
I'm a new woman. Sex and the City exists.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
And then when and then Just Like That came out,
I watched maybe like three fourths of the first season,
and I did not like it. So I stopped watching it,
and I just thought none of the characters acted the
way that they would have normally acted in Sex and
the City.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
So I was like, these are brand new people and
I don't like it period.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Was it because they try to like be with the
times versus what the nineties were?
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Yeah, well it's not necessarily like I don't mind like
updating to a current audience because like times change, that
makes sense. But I was mostly like salty because like
Miranda did stuff in and just like that that Miranda
would never do. Yeah as a person who if she
spent the entirety of Sex and This City the series
one way and then completely like changes in personality, I'm
(12:06):
just like.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Okay, she was my favorite, and now what the heck
is this?
Speaker 6 (12:10):
Right? So I mean I'm sad that Carrie Bradshaw no
longer you know, is in the cultural zeitgeist of America.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Right. But the Lollapalooza was this weekend. I saw so
many clips of things.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I saw Luke Combs brought out Alex Warren and they
performed ordinary together amongst like doci's performances looked phenomenal. But
Sabrita Carpenter was there and she brought out Earth Wind
and Fire. Did you guys see any of the videos
(13:09):
of the crowds at Lalla. No, it looked insane. They
were massive, Yeah, like more I think more than normal
this summer.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Why do you think that is?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Maybe they got good weather. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
I think I think a lot of people travel to
Lala to like obviously go to it in Chicago and everything.
I know a lot of people around here will go
to it since it's so close. But I just feel
like when there's better weather on top of it, you know,
more people are like, let's go to the right Lusah.
But also Lala is the place that a lot of
people will like jump fences and like sneak in and
they just like don't care because security can't like catch
them once they get in and they're like in a crowd.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Yeah, they can't catch every which one?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Is it?
Speaker 6 (13:43):
You know?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
If Olivia Rodrigo was doing Lallapalooza, I think she was,
but she just ended her tour like the tour she
started back in twenty twenty three. Shout out to Olivia Rodrigo.
Girl has not put out music and I don't know
how long, but people still go crazy for them, like
six songs that she had on the radio.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I saw her come out and dance on stage with someone,
but I don't know that she was performing.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Yeah, but I do know she wrapped her She literally
posted eight hours ago she said that's a rap on
the Guts tour. So regardless if it was Lalla or
her actual tour, congrats to her because she gots tour
has been going for that long.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
That's what I'm saying, Wowey.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Because she was here. What two springs ago?
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Uh no, it was last twenty twenty four. It was
right before I joined the show, right.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
So two springs ago pretty much, or maybe the winter
time more so.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Yeah, okay, all right. Matt Rife, he's a comedian.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Some people fawn over him, some people think he's a douchebag.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
But regardless, he.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Is now the guardian of the haunted Annabelle Doll. So
apparently a paranormal investigator suddenly died while on tour with
the doll, and Matt Rife had joked, this is the
most random hobby, but I should I should probably collect
the stamps or something that might be a little bit safer.
So he explained that he purchased the late and Lorraine
(15:01):
Warren's occult museum in Connecticut, and the artifacts in the
home inspired the Conjuring horror franchise, and then The Conjuring
Last Rites arrives right after a Labor Day weekend. So
that's a new movie coming out of the Conjuring. And
I do not keep up with any of those movies.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
They're terrified. But Matt Ray random, yeah, he said.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
I'm incredibly honored to have taken over one of the
most prominent properties in paranormal history. We plan to open
the house for Overnight's Day. So he basically bought this
whole museum, not just the doll. But he did do
it with ghost hunter Elton Cassie. But I don't know
who that is. I don't really bring him up.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
Interesting, Well, we have more background information on Katie Perry's
new quote unquote relationship with Justin Trudeau, former Prime Minister
of Canada. Apparently they met at the Invictus Games for
wounded military vets in February because she performed at the
opening ceremony. So now people are like, Okay, well, now
that makes sense that she had this tension with Orlando
(16:02):
Bloom since then because she had met someone new in February,
and then she and Orlando.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Bloom broke off their engagement in June.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
And now we've been seeing Justin Trudeau like pop up
at different like concerts. They've been like out to eat together.
And it says in this little this little article here
that Katie has a type. She likes men with accents,
what a Canadian accent?
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Well, does he speak French?
Speaker 6 (16:30):
Actually French Canadian? Yeah, I guess, I don't know. I
don't remember, but I feel like if I remember hearing
him speak, he just sounded like us. But Orlando Bloom too, No, No,
Orlando Bloom is British, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Or Yeah, he's one of those things I think. I
think I do think he's British too.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
But anyway, that's the scoop, the scuttle butt Katie Perry end.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Did you guys see you know the onion, which is
like a complete what kind of satire? Satire? And they
had posted an article saying that Orlando Bloom is now
like another political figure, and Orlando Bloom had commented with
a bunch of like hand claps or laugh emotion's or something,
So people were like, oh, well, at least he's like
taking it good and people.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
I also read that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom seemed
to be on good terms.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah split, So it seems like, yeah, he must be
doing okay. And it also feels like if she's already
moved on, if this is not like some weird publicity stunt, right,
they probably were on.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
The outs for a while.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Yeah, you know, like I feel like you had one
foot out the door.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Was celebrities a lot of times they have to like
keep up appearances just for the sake of it. Yeah,
they're celebrities, but like in reality, they probably were broken
up a year ago.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
Yeah, I mean I even think that in real life
with like real life people, that's true.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Like our like meet.
Speaker 6 (17:42):
Somebody new, but they stay in their relationship until they're
like all right bye and then they just slide into
the next one.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah, I had no clue.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Bieaber has a recent song with Benny Blanco, Like twenty
twenty one, they did a song together because Bieber Sleepy
to go missus X and now Benny Blanco was her
fiance And so I'm like, is.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Really beef here? Because people say he's still hung up
on Selena?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
They really could just behind the scenes, be chilling, and
it all be like a publicity stunt.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
I don't know if that's true or not, but.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Ah, I feel like he didn't treat Selena right. And
she's gone on enough podcasts and interviews and has said
how she needs to be treated.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
So I don't know. I think that.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Yeah, I don't think they're actually friends behind the scenes,
Bennie and Bee, but like Benny wouldn't be friends with him.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Yeah, so I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
But all right, Well, that's gonna do it for Dave
zerd has brought to you by six one two Injured
Himer and Lammer's Injury Law.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
And it's Monday morning.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
I know it's gonna be It looks like kind of
cloudy out there, but the good news is the smoke
should be clearing up today. But we want to get
you amped up for the week ahead of us, so
we always do the Monday Morning Dance Party. Let's get
into it right now on Katie w B The Monday
Morning Dance Party on the day Ryan in the Morning Show.
Just a reminder keep listening all morning long for two
Tate McCrae songs in a row. We're still doing two
