Speaker 1 (00:00):
Twenty three, Katy w B, here comes your keyword right
now for more. Sabrina Carpenter Ticket said, the keyword happens
every thirty minutes all day on KTWB because wouldn't it
be cool to see her do this in person? I mean,
I love her music so much. It is the catchiest
music ever written by humankind. There is no catchier music.
You might say, baby Shark is catchier than no. This

(00:23):
is catchier. And you can go see her in Nashville
and you use the keyword on the iHeartRadio talkback feature
Please please, as in her song, open up the iHeart
Radio app and then tap that red microphone and just
say the keyword is please, and you are good to go.
While you're there and you got it open, might as
well give us a preset, make us a number one,
number two or number three preset.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
My number one preset is KATBDB followed by cool one
O eight and then the Minnesota Goodbye is my third preset,
So n go to that and good luck. We do
it every thirty minutes. Every time you enter is another
chance to win. All right, it's Katie WB. We'll be
back with a keyword for Sabmreena Carpenter coming up in

(01:06):
less than ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
A little vaunch during the pot today.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Just a little reminder because it's been less than an
hour since we've talked about our new dogs. So go
online Dave Ryanshow dot com and or Dave Ryan Show
on Instagram and meet.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Our new dogs.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Von got one Ava and I got Bernie and we
are in love. Go check them out back with the
keyword for Sabrina coming up, Let's get you that keywords
and when that Sabrina Carpenter trip.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
The keyword for this hour is busy. Busy.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Just open up the iHeartRadio app. Tap the red microphone.
That is a chance for you to leave. Basically, it's
a voicemail to the radio station. We call it the
talkbag feature. Tap that say the keyword is busy. Tap
it again, send it, Boom, You're done.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Good luck.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Uh oh oh comes, he's lurking, he's.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Von fine, oh Tiday, what is on your mind?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Stir that pod.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I think everyone should go to therapy at least once
a year. And I know there's people that are very
anti therapy, but hear me out.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
You go to the doc.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Well, So, first of all the connotation around therapy is
something's wrong with me. That's not true. Sometimes it's okay
to just talk to somebody about anything, whether there you know,
it's a personal issue or just your health or how
your work is going. And people are like, oh, but
there's nothing wrong. You go to a doctor every year.
Should at least you go to the dentist every year
when there might not be something wrong with you. It

(02:30):
doesn't hurt to go to therapy at least once a year.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
The only thing I know about that is I think
once a year is kind of like exercising once a year,
you know, I think you probably need to go more than.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Once if you go at all.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
I don't know, but I think I went to therapy once,
and therapy to me was very frustrating because it was like,
how do you feel about that?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
How do you feel about that? How does that make you?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Feels like I could get a robot to give me
this therapy, and so I got disappointed. And plus I'm
also Dave Ryan on the radio. I don't need Joyce
my therapist to run home to a partner.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Go.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, Dave Ryan's got a thing for like, I don't
know he likes to dress up as a house plant
and look at himself in the mirror.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
That's fun, a good time. You know you thought that
too quick to quick question.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Did you only go the one time?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I went several times.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Oh okay, because I was going to say, usually, like
the beginning of therapy, it is a lot of like
get to know you, what do you feel about that? Yeah,
and then the therapist eventually gets down to root causes
they don't know, they don't well, I mean I've been
to therapy a couple of times. Yeah, and so I
do agree that. I think therapy is very important, and
I agree with everything that you save on. I do, however,
think that one session won't get you very far.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I agree. That's why I said at least once, because yeah,
I mean a doctor Premier show you can go one
time and they can kind of figure everything out. A therapist, yes,
it takes time and I can't stay. I went to
therapy for a couple of months last year. Couldn't stand
the first couple sessions. Not because it's very much how
do you feel about that? But it's to tell you
what's wrong. I have to give you the backstory, introductory

(04:02):
and I'm like, uh, what's your favorite color. It's like
the first couple of stages, the first couple of months
when you're dating somebody, you have to talk what's your
favorite color? Oh, tell me about the childhood injury. You know,
those little things before you get into the naty gritty.
But I think once, maybe twice a year, let's just
say every six months, actually try therapy.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Talk to somebody and know that the first therapist that
you find, you'll be really lucky if you feel like
that's the therapist for you. Because the person I used
to go to was great, and then I started going
to a new one and I thought she was okay
at first, but a few sessions then I was like, Yeah,
this isn't really working for me anymore.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
So I stopped.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Can you can you give me an example why how
you know it's not a good fit.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
There wasn't actionable steps that she was going to give me.
She kind of was just there listening and it was great,
but like, and some people might need that in therapy,
but I need actionable steps, like a homework kind of
kind of to an extent, But I just I don't
need you to constantly re ensure that my feelings are
valid because for the most part, I'm usually secure and that.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
But it was that. But then I talked about this.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
How she went and looked me up online and was
trying to find out information about like my breakup. But
it felt very invasive, and she was doing it in
a way to understand what people were saying about me
and what I might be going through, Like she wasn't
doing it in some evil way, but it felt like
it crossed a boundary that I didn't like.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So, yeah, we talked about that. I kind of get
that one. Yeah, let me ask you a question. Do
you prefer Jenny a male or female therapist or do
you not have a preference.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Yeah, I prefer a female. I will probably never go
to a male.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Okay, and tell me, I think I know why, but
I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
It's just more comforting to It's more easy for me
to open up to a woman. So I think that
I'm not saying I could never go see a guy.
But if given the choice, and usually they kind of
do a little like survey to figure out a therapist
for you, absolutely, yeah, one given that choice, and you
know there's six options I'm immediately going to the women first,
and looking.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Like that, most people probably would choose the same gender
that they are.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yeah, I feel like then they live your experience. So like,
would you prefer going to a woman.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Or a man? Dave?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Will they have cookies?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
There?

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Might?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
If he has cookies, yes, if she has a veggie tray, no, No,
I would probably rather go to a man.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I think.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
So you have a shared experience with men, and I'll
understand you a little bit more than women.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
But I've been to both.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I've been to both and I like certain things about them,
except my problem was, like four sessions in, they're still going.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So how does that make you feel? How do you
feel about that?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I could push a button on my phone and have
a repeat back the same question.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
Yeah, there is therapy through cho really.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
You can like literally be like, can you be my therapist?
And you can put things in and it'll answer things.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Really. Yeah, that's what I need daily.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Come on, thank you Vaughan. All right, it's Katie w
We gave you that keyword a minute ago. It's busy.
Make sure you enter that keyword on the talkback feature.
Just say it into your phone. Good to go.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Daves Dirt is next.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
If that song is new to you, it's called Undressed
by Somber somb R.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
I love his music. I've been listening to his album.
I love it.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
It's all very good.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
It's a lot of like break up kind of vibes.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
So it's giving no, right, all right, it is time
for the Minnesota goodbye. No, it's time for Dave's Dirt
on KDEWB. Let's get started.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
From Hollywood right to your radio. It's Dave's Dirt on
kd w B.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Well, they're pretty much calling it on. Katy Perry and
her what's her husband's name, No Bloom. They've been together
for about ten years. They get a daughter, Daisy turns
five in a couple of months, and People magazine says, eh,
it looks like it's.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Not going to happen.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Ariel or Ario Winter from Modern Family did one of
those YouTube docu series to catch child pre editors. So
she's like twenty seven, but she dressed up as a
twelve year old girl to lure child predators. And here
is a little clip, right run.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Not much.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Talk to you, yeah either these things.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
I was off, not totally. A four year old is
not talking for any reason other than to exploit them.
And he said before he's like, oh, well, you know,
we'll get married and then like get it and old.
So there's like a romantic and like weird undertone even
if he hasn't like explicitly said anything we.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Can arrest him for.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yet, Wow, that is gross and creepy.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
She said, I'm familiar with male predators because I worked
in Hollywood at a young age.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I started at four.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
I mean, great for her to use like her platform
to like, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
For good.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
I mean, even though it's like, you know, a slimy thing,
but like she's helping out and catching these people.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
So that's okay, yeah, very true.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Well, so the Bachelor franchise has so many people that
come out of it. However, most people don't end up
actually getting married if they do get engaged on the show.
And that is the results of Grant, the most recent Bachelor,
and his fiance Juliana. They just broke up just a
few months after the finale that aired. I think back
in like February maybe, I mean, he had posted something

(09:22):
on Instagram saying like there's no bad blood, there's no negativity.
Just realize it didn't work for us. However, I felt
like he gave playboy vibes the entire season, and I
just didn't really feel like, you know, they always say,
are you here for the right reasons? I feel like
him as the Bachelor was not there for the right reasons.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
In general, if you're on a dating reality show, are
you there for.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
The right Well, I would agree, because I would totally
go on a dating reality show. But now I'm too old,
really like you're these ancient Yeah, I am. These contestants
are all like twenty two years old, well, seventy years
You can go on the Golden Bachelor menopausal, Perry menopausal.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Pre menopausal.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
No, I think it's Perry.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
You're saying it right. I think it means like pre
though it is. I don't know what I know. But
but back to Bailey's question, Yes, your intentions while on
the show, because I watch Temptation Island a lot. It's
where you're a couple when you go on an island
and maybe get tempted by because you're separated those people.
They say, I was not expecting to fall in love
on this island. Yes, you were, or you had some
expectation you wouldn't leave here with your partner, So what

(10:30):
are your intentions? Dating shows are just so slimy, but
that's what makes them so good. Some of a big
news for you, Vonte.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Production of Camp Rock three is reportedly scheduled for August.
And I know how much you love Camp Rock.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
You see me rolling my eyes because I don't know
or think that the Jonahs brothers are Demi, who were
in the first two, are going to be in this one.
It's been thirteen years as the last one.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
I don't think there's a good there's no chance that
they're going to be in it. If they are, they're
going to be in it for like two and they're
gonna play someone's dad.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Like maybe because because some of the original stars of
High School Musical Movies were in the show a couple
of years ago, but.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
They were like the bit party and they were like
the weird like the ones that didn't experience real success,
Like there's no way they would have gotten Vanessa Hutchins
or Zach Effron in the High School Musical Show.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Well, speaking of Zach Effron, he's on this list. It's cute,
but it's dumb celebrities who are awesome to the crew
on flights. Zach Effron made the list. I guess a
flight attendant said he was engaging, personable and signed an autograph.
Robin Williams. Of course, Kate Hudson's on this list. Tina Turner.
We did the top five. Amy Winehouse, who I just,
I mean, every interview I've seen of Amy Winehouse, he
just seems so sweet. Robert de Niro, Celine Dion. Surprisingly,

(11:42):
Gordon Ramsay made this list. He's a nice dude. I
feel like the mean thing.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Is a total act. Yeah, and he pulls it off
very well.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah, man, Simon cow and then the last one is
Anthony Hopkins.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Wow, all right, dang, I'm just gonna wrap it up
with I watched the Martha Stewart document. It's really good.
I don't even care about Martha Stewart, but it's really
interesting because she is justifiably one of the most arrogant
people you will ever see interviewed on TV. But she's
deserving to be arrogant, you know what I mean. She
doesn't have to be, but she gets away with it

(12:16):
because she's Martha Stewart. And look what she did.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, She's done a lot, okay, a lot of cool stuff.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
That's the dirt, brought to you by six one two
Injured Heimer and Lamber's Injury Law, all week long, all
day long. You're never more than thirty minutes away. We
mocked that because we say it so much, and I
know you get tired of hearing. But it's a reminder.
You get a chance to win this really cool prize
every thirty minutes to go see Sabriena Carpenter in Nashville.
And we're putting you up at the Lovely Holiday in Express.

(12:41):
Oh not this one. Oh no, no, it's well it
closed down.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
They at least have coffee in the lobby.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
No, well they did, but they read it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
What about complimentary breakfast?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
No, I'm sorry, nope, but they will watch in the
hotel room. Well, it depends on what room you're in.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
We're really.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I'm making all that up. It's the top notch hotel,
airfare and everything. To go see some Brita Carpenter. Listen,
we're about another fifteen minutes away from your next keyword.
Enjoy the day today. There's a good chance of rain.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
And good chances Yeah, well no, I think we're going
to see some storms. There is like a chance of
some severe weather as well. Stay inside, take shelter, shelter.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yeah, all right, we'll see you tomorrow here on Katie WB.
Check out the Minnesota Goodbye on the iHeartRadio app is
some extra bonus content. We have a lot of fun
with it. And Jenny talks about something that she absolutely
will not talk about on the radio, and she got
Bailey put spot. Bailey brought it up and then we said, okay,
let's just run with it. So you'll hear that on
today's Minnesota Goodbye. Ooh, what is it?
