Speaker 1 (00:02):
It is one of one point three kt be. Every
good DJ starts their break with uh looking, I'm sorry,
I'm compelled to look at my favorite couple right now.
My favorite couple is Jackie in Shadow. We get to
Jackie and Shadow coming up in a minute. I'm sorry,

(00:23):
I'm compelled to lot to watch the webcam. So right now,
we got two things going on in the March food
brackets Fast food brackets. It's come down to Chipotle versus Culver's.
We started off with the Tasty sixteen and now we're
down to two thanks to your votes, So go vote.

(00:44):
We'll have a winter tomorrow. I really thought the final
two was gonna be Taco Bell and McDonald's, but you
never know. It's just like watching regular basketball.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
You never know.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Somebody drops out that should have been gone going to
the finals. But here's here are these two. Go vote
on Instagram. Dave Ryan Show on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Give an update right now of what we're at. So
it's sixty thirty nine. In the lead is culvera Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Do you want you want me to stall?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That makes sense?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, I mean, Chipotle's fine, but Culver's is just better. Okay,
I mean, I don't know how to describe it. If
I if they were both facing me and I'm like,
which one you want to go to? It's like, oh,
well Culver's. I feel the same way. Culver's is like
top tier. I love it. It cannot do it wrong.
You know what's underestimated as a burger is the Dave
single at Wendy's. Because I had one yesterday. I was

(01:39):
at the Denver Airport and I'm like, oh, there's one
fast food restaurant at the Denver Airport when you're driving,
and that's Wendy's. I'm like, get a Dave's single. It
is an underrated burger. It really is good.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
You convinced me. Maybe I'll go get Wendy's. It's called Dave.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Like your name like Dave.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Well, no, it's Dave was the founder of Wendy's Day
something or other.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Yeah, well I know that. I'm just saying I wasn't
sure if you were for sure saying Dave or not.
I knew it wasn't named after you, Dave Bryant. Why
would they name a bird?

Speaker 6 (02:09):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Go anyway? So go vote on Dave Ryan Show on Instagram.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Day Story.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Well we love animals here on Katie WB here is
talking about our dogs and our pets and our cats
and things like that.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
These are not pets.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
These are a pair of bald eagles and they're in
Big Bear Valley in California. And I even saw this
on the news here in Colorado, and this is kind
of caught fire. The last couple of days, the eaglets
have finally landed as Jackie and Shadow have new two
new hatchlings. Oh my god, one came around let's see,

(02:54):
I think about eleven thirty at night on Monday, and
then they had three eggs, but then another one was
finally hatched, and it's just it's it's so sweet because
there's these giant, elegant, magnificent looking birds and they fly
into this nest and the background is just like this valley.

(03:16):
It's just this majestic view and these beautiful eagles are
taking care of these little hatchlings.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I've seen so many videos of these two on TikTok
and it's hilarious because Shadow is just always trying to
impress Jackie. But he's kind of a dope, you can tell,
like he kind you know, he's like the trips and
falls kind of guy. As he was bringing her a
stick one time and he completely just like clotheslined her
with a stick and she was like, you know, like
making egle noises at him and like putting him in

(03:45):
his place.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Is like it's like a real life couple.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
It is so and it's just like, I don't know
how they got the camera up there, but they got
a camera up right behind their nest. And the eagles,
of course, their eagles. They're oblivious to the whole thing.
And the little baby names are Simba and Cookie and Cookie,
Simba and Cookie, and they're just little, fuzzy, gray little
chicks and they don't look anything like a bald eagle.

(04:08):
But then you look at mom and dad Jackie in
shadow and it's just so cool. And anyway, there's so
many things that are like people will argue about and
you go on social media and it's like bash this,
bash that whatever, You're an idiot, But this is.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Something everybody can agree on.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
We can all agree on these cute little.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Eagles so cute.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
So go check it out just via Google search, like
webcam or livecam or live whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Jackar'll share.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I've got some videos I can share on our Instagram
stories that I've seen on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
All right, go check that out. That's Dave's Animal Stories.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
We don't do that bit very often, but once in
a while when you run across something like this, you
kinda have to. You're never more than thirty minutes away
from the Kendrick Ands is a keyword. We'll have another
one of those was coming up for you in a
little bit. And also, in case you missed it, a
follow up with Cassandra who got in trouble at work.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
She was on a zoom meeting. This is so fun.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
He's my favorite story of the week and it happened
here on KATWB. She was on a zoom meeting at
work and she was bored and there's like fifty people.
They're doing training, and you know how zoom meetings can go,
and you're like, you don't want to leave the camera
in case they call your name or something. So she's
there and she says she's going to entertain her work buddy.
So she sends her work buddy a private message that says,

(05:21):
what's your favorite porn category? Which is just funny because
it's so inappropriate and like, you know, incongruent to the meeting.
So she sends it to her friend. Whoops, she sent
it to the entire group. So then after the meeting
of fifty people, her boss called and said, come see
me on Wednesday. So we'll get an update from Cassandra
on what happened in the meeting coming up next. Be

(05:44):
careful when you're in a zoom meeting, when you're sending
private messages, make sure it really is private. We'll be
right back with that on katiewb This.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
News called dirt on Katie WB.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Right, it's not that bad.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
It is the dirt brought to you by one to
injured Heimer and Lamberrell's injury law. Instead of going to
the celebrities and seeing what they're up to, like the
big Life Side or not Life size sixty one foot
reclining half naked Kim Kardashian in Times Square.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
This is a real story. It's for her. What is
its skins? Swimwear?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Sims?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Yeah, Kim, It's in Times Square and some people love it,
some people hate it. Let's talk about real things that
are going on that you can actually enjoy. The ninety
first Annual Minneapolis Home Garden Show is going on this weekend.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Here's your sign of spring. I'll be there guarded. You
are going to be there. You're interviewing people.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I'm going to be interviewing Cole and Chelsea Deboor at
two pm, So come watch that if you're hanging out.
And I also they gave me a coupon code if
you haven't bought your tickets yet, five dollars off with
the code.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Jenny, what day, what day?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Any day?

Speaker 5 (06:46):
You can use it for any day.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Don't know you what day are you interviewing?

Speaker 5 (06:49):
I'm there on Saturday, Okay, Gosha.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Everybody knows what the Home Garden Show is.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
It's super cool and there's seminars and gardens and X
and it's super cool. Also polar plunges. This Saturday. Polar
Plunge season is coming to an end, but there's a
several different one for special Olympics this weekend. Minnesota State
High School Boys Hockey Tournament is going on now through
Saturday at the X and this swiming and diving tournament

(07:17):
is tomorrow and Saturday at the U Life of Pie
at the Orpheum Bailey J saw it the other day.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
I thought it's very theatrically cool.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
A little bit depressing story though, but really cool to look.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
At Okay, Romeo and Juliet. The Rock Ballet is through
Sunday Tomorrow through Sunday at the Fitzgerald in Saint Paul,
set to the music of Queen. Interestingly enough, Casey in
the Sunshine Band Shake your Boot, Eh, Shake you Shake,
Shake your Boot. Treasure Island Events Center coming up on Saturday.

(07:57):
International Women's Day is on Saturday. Also, Jenny had a
little news about that.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Yeah, So we're doing a contest right now.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
If you go to our website katiewb dot com slash contest,
you can nominate any woman in your life, whether it's
a front a coworker, a family member, to be highlighted
on the radio tomorrow and then they get to win
a prize from City and County Credit Union.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
So go nominate them and then if.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
We pick them, you will they will win a prize
and you'll be able to surprise them like, hey, I
did this for you.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Sweet Cool.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
If anyone ever nominates you for something and you were
unaware of it and then you find out, it's like
one of the best feelings in the world.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
It's an honor. You're like, oh me, I mean something
to you. Oh my gosh, so sweet, do it?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
That is cool? It is also lint. So it's fish
fry season.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
I found on Cara Leven and I'm not going to like,
you know, go to their website and get the list
of big fish fries that are going on for lint.
If you, I don't know if LNT is something you say,
you celebrate or you acknowledge or you do lent.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
I am not Catholic.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I am a very generic religion Christian kind of a thing.
So we never did lent, but I know that like
my friends would be like, I can't have any meat.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I do Lent.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
I'm not Catholic either, but I do Lent just because
it's the only way I can stick to like a diet.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
And so I always just give up junk food.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Oh what are you doing? You're giving up junk food.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
Yeah, And it's I cast a wide net. The only
stipulation that I have on it. Like the exception is
if someone like brings me a donut and they say, hey,
I brought you this don't it's rude to be like, no,
I'm not going.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
To eat that donut because I gave up donuts for Lent.
I'm going to eat the freaking exactly God's will? Exactly?

Speaker 5 (09:41):
What are you giving up for lent?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Dave?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Murder murder? I can murder anybody. Yeah, that couple of
people on my radar, but I figure for the month
of Lent, no murdering.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
I think Jesus would really appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Yeah, it probably would.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
That's a good one.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Yeah, Jenny, what are you giving up for lun Absolutely nothing?

Speaker 5 (09:58):
I like my vices, all right, yep, okay.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Also this weekend, the while they're hosting the Penguins at
the X on Sunday two thirty game and the Timberwolves
host San Antonio Sunday at seven o'clock at Target Center,
celebrities broke up the George Clooney and what's the what's
his wife's mom?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
A mall.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, they're we don't have confirmation they're breaking up, but
it sure seems like it's not looking good.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You know, it's a Hollywood marriage. Things happen.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
And also Katy Perry is going to Taylor Swift and saying, hey,
my tickets aren't selling.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
What can I do?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
And Taylor Swift is like, I don't know, you're Katy Perry,
There's not much you can do.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I do.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I will say that Taylor said, you know, you got
to like have a great show with costumes and lights
and and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
But I don't think that's Katy Perry's problem.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Does she also say you have to go to space?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Why would she say that? Tell me why?

Speaker 6 (10:53):
Because Katy Perry's meant to go to space, like she's
on the like next Space session.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Yeah, like, hey you want to be go to space.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I don't think that's going to work.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Would be a good bit if she does say that, it's.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
A good bit, though. I will say that Katy Perry
is like a fashion that nobody wears anymore, And that
might sound a little bit cruel, but Katy Perry was
a fashion. She was kind of like a fun, flirty,
silly kind of an artist ten, twelve, fifteen years ago,
and it's kind of like a fashion that we don't
wear anymore. Is that a good analogy?

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah, except for I like to wear it every once
in a while because I'm still such a fan of
her old music. I just don't think that she can
get a hit now in the last ten years, is
what her problem is. So Like, I feel like if
she just honed in on the nostalgic factor of her
music that could maybe help her write a bit.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
No, they hate Artists hate becoming a nostalgia act. And
it's only when they recognize that. Like Backstreet Boys, they're
more nostalgic act and they're still together and they're still touring.
I mean they're doing the residency show in Vegas here
and there, and same with New Kids. They recognize they're
never going to have another hit on the radio. They're
a nostalgia act, and a lot of artists don't ever
want to admit.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
That they are.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
That that is going to do it for the Dirt
today again, thanks for all the donations for Joy for Josie.
Yesterday we got over seven thousand, nearly eight thousand dollars
and that gets doubled in match, so now it's fifteen
thousand for homeless Pets and the people that work with
homeless pets at the Golden Valley and in the Humane Society.
So thank you so very much for that. Check out

(12:26):
the Minnesota Goodbye. That's a lot of fun. It's an
after the show podcast bonus fifteen twenty minutes of the
show and we'll be back tomorrow. Set A preset if
you haven't yet, make sure you set a preset on
the iHeartRadio app for KTWB to make it easier to
find your favorite radio stations, but make sure you put
us in there at number one.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Have a great day. We love you. We'll see you
tomorrow on KDWB.
