Speaker 1 (00:01):
One to one point three. Katie w b to Day
Ryan in the morning show. I'm like complaining to Bailey
because your girl over here is having some stomach issues,
specifically cramps, and Bailey. Bailey was like, you want me
to do some leg bicycles for you, and I'm like, no,
I actually just want like a hot pad. I feel
like such an old lady, like I just want to
lay it out and have a hot pad, and I'd
tell me if you have any mindyll at home.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Honestly, I've never taken that. I think I've only ever
done my doll. I know, I think I've only ever
done ibuprofen.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
If I have any of it, I've never believed, honestly,
and over the counter drugs for the most part, like ibuprofen.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
I have it, and I'll take it every once in
a while.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
But I always felt like if something was really going
to cure you, it'd probably be prescribed from a doctor
and you couldn't just like walk into Target and buy it.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I always just assume I will end up healing myself eventually.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
The one thing though, I definitely needed was when I
had that allergic reaction to this college powder and Bailey
to run a cob and get me would you give
me a leg?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Boo starts with a b benadryl ben benadryl. Oh, then
you were tired because it was drowsy.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I started getting LUPI ed to talk in front of
a bunch of clients that day too with some other
radio peova.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Oh that was a great day. That was great.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Well, this actually is not about me right now and
my tummy. It is about Bailey, because Bailey's a big
step in life.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
She's thinking, not doing it.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, we'll see. I would like to buy a house.
I have mentioned it before on the radio, and the
last time I mentioned it, you were like, you have
two months. You can do it in two months, and
I was like, absolutely not, I'll do it in a
year and two months.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Give myself some time.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
But I follow so many like real estate agents on
Instagram now because that's kind of like where you show
off the houses, which is kind of cool that they'll
be like, hey, come with me and look at this house.
I think the thing that because I'm about to be
thirty five tomorrow's my birthday and woo, and I've never
owned a home before because I had like roommates, we
(01:56):
lived in an apartment that I lived with an ex
and we lived in an apartment and blah blah blah.
And now since like, I'm by myself, so I have
to figure out like payment and whatnot. And I'm not
a rich person, like period, I don't have a ton
of money. I feel like I have a decent savings,
but also do I want to put all my savings
into buying a house? And secondly, like I think the
(02:20):
houses that I could more so easily afford are going
to be quote unquote starter houses. And I don't want
to live in a starter house because I'm about to
be thirty five. I don't want to start with something
that's got, you know, like the thinnest walls ever.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And really that's not what you're gonna necessarily have to do.
And starterhouses aren't necessarily even about that either. I think
I think of starter house as just like a smaller house.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I don't know, and that's what I would want anyway.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yeah, And I could just see you living in like
South Minneapolis and a cute little rambler and.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Di little house with a yard, and I would love
a little like porch that'd be nice, Maybe a little sunroom.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's ideal.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, I think now that you're talking about this too,
because if you are a good real estate agent, you're
probably going to like hear this and immediately reach out
to Bailey. Yeah, so what's your Instagram?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
It's Bailey on Air be ai'l e y on Air
and the thing is, and like, I guess I low
key don't understand really what real estate agents do, fully,
because I would love to talk to a real estate agent,
but in my brain, they're all in it because it's
like a commission thing, right where they want to make
(03:34):
money off of you. So they'll be like, I'll tell
you whatever you need because I need to sell this
house or whatever, and I need somebody to just be
like no, sweet Bailey, let me hold your hand and
I will tell you that's exactly what you need to do.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
That's what they do, you know, tell you exactly what
to do. They tell you that you need to get
approved for alone. That's going to be your first step,
and then they walk you through and like, yeah, you
could go to open houses by yourself. You could try
to submit an offer on your own, but I, having
had dated a realtor, yeah, I would not just doing that.
I do suggest getting a real estate agent, especially for
(04:06):
your first home buying experience, because yes, of course they
make a commission off of you, but if it's a
good real estate agent.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
They'll actually want to help me.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
They want to help you. It's not necessarily about the commission.
I know real estate agents who have worked with people
for years and that person has still not bought a house.
I mean, look at Dave. Dave's talked about how him
and Susan had been looking at houses for so like
a couple of years and they still haven't bought a
new one because they kind of want to downsize from
what they have. Right now, he's just the two of them,
and he still hasn't bought anything. But that doesn't mean
(04:36):
that as real estate agent isn't going to jump at
the moment that Dave's like, hey, we want to go
look at this house, right like they want you to
be successful if you're a good real estate.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Agent, probably a wise thing, like to them, what do you.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Know about furnaces and water software? There zero exactly, And
that's why you need somebody who is an expert and
knows what they're talking about and knows what to look for.
In a house and what could potentially be wrong with
a house on top of because you're gonna you're gonna
walk in and figure out if you feel like that's
a house for Bailey. Yeah, the real estate agent is
going to tell you what's wrong with it and why
(05:07):
you maybe don't want that house.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
And I took a like a class, not a class.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
It was like a workshop thing, like hey, first time
home buyer workshop thing. But even then I felt like
I walked in and everybody but me had prior information,
so it didn't feel like a square one situation. And
I truly it feels like I'm taking a brand new
class in school that I've never taken this class before,
which is how I feel about a lot of a
(05:34):
lot of things that like milestones that you have to
take as an adult. Is it's like taking a brand
new class, but you don't actually get to go to school.
You just have to figure you have to, like self,
teach yourself how to do it. And I don't like that.
I don't I don't want to learn anything just by myself.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I don't need someone. You know.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
That's how you have to get a real estate agent,
because that's the person who's going to tell you exactly
what to do. So and someone did clarify, like the
real estate agent for you be home buyer, they actually
aren't making money off of you. They make money off
of the sale of the house. Oh so the sale
of the house is split between the selling agent and
the buying agent, usually split.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
But that's power point. I need a PowerPoint, I need
the flash cards.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, just get someone, hire someone and they'll walk you
through it. And the best thing is is you can
literally go look at fifty houses and decide. Uh, just kidding,
I don't want to buy house. Never mind, you're not
in any kind of like contractual agreements.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, all right, well, good luck Bay guys. I excited
for you on this new journey of life.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Wanted to text it and saying Bailey come back to
andover no I will.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
All right, well come up.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Next is just Bailey and I David jetted off to
the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
We are going to enter the.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Ladies room and have a little chat about hinge and
specifically Bailey's and that's next.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
It's Jenny The Dave Ryan Show on Katie w B.
Welcome to the Ladies Room. We just love mot for
creating that for us. Welcome to the Ladies Room.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
It's Jenny and Bailey here today, and specifically we're gonna
talk a little bit more about Bailey today because she
started a Hinge profile well like two weeks ago now, h.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Yeah, like two weeks ago, and I have some feelings
about it, Okay, tell us because so I'm used to obviously,
Like I remember specifically being on the bus when I
worked at Disney World and someone was on Tinder, and
I was like, what's that.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
They're like, Oh, it's a dating but.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
It's kind of like game, and so Tinder was the
first thing I had, and then I had Bumble, which
is essentially kind of the same, but women have to
be the first one to send a message, and Hinge
is different, where like it'll show you profiles of different
dudes and you can either like nix them entirely or
if you want, essentially to swipe right as they say,
(07:58):
you have to like thing in their profile, so you'll
have to like respond like oh here's this man playing
a guitar, respond with a like, and then they can
see who liked something in their profile and can start
a conversation that way. I'm still trying to like get
the hang of it, because I think in general, I
don't care for dating apps. I haven't dated anyone via
(08:20):
a dating app for like six years, and I'm really
not looking forward to being a part of it.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
But I did get a message okay yesterday.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
And it was a message that actually put an effort,
not just attention, because sometimes they just respond to something
that I say, like oh, I love cats, what's your
cat's name?
Speaker 2 (08:38):
And they'll go like yeah cats, They're like okay, great.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Or what radio station do you work for, which I
is an immediately turn off for me in general.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
But this guy actually said.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Things to me because I responded to something on his
profile because again, you have to respond to something on
their profile if you like something. And then he looked
at my profile and then said something about what was
on my profile.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
So that's exciting, exciting.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
He did the bare minimum of research of clicking over
to see my profile and then finding something to ask
me about. Though he has not responded to me, because
I did respond to him, and I did a little
paragraph and everything.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, So it wasn't something that they would be able
to respond to.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
It wasn't just you talking about yourself exactly.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I even asked a question at the end to try
and get it to go back and forth.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
When did you send that? I sent it last night
at ten pms. Okay, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Done.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Definitely, I would give him at least like twenty four
to thirty six years.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
My problem is, and this is with any time if
I date anybody, even if it's really early. Obviously, this
man sent me one message, but I'll be like, well,
I guess this is my guy. Now I guess I
can't talk to anyone else because this is the one
that I have now because he responded he was interested
in me.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
So now this is it.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
I'm tied to this man, which I don't know how
to turn that off of my brain because I could
conceivably talk to like five dudes at once on hinge
because you know what, it's hinge.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
It's not real life. Yeah, well it's real life. It's
kind of a.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
That's interesting that you say that, because I think most
people who are on dating apps have no problem talking
to multiple people at once and dating multiple people because
that's what everyone else is doing. So I don't know
how to tell you to turn it off. But I
definitely don't think you should feel guilty if you started
like connecting with someone else on hinge and started talking
to them.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I like this one better. Sorry, Well that's how things happen.
I know.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I'm going to make a complaint that's similar about dating
apps and Jenny. I want to see if you agree
with me or not that I don't like dating apps
because I feel like, in my world of being unfortunately
attracted to men, that the men are going onto the
dating apps to find a girlfriend, and I'm going out
into the world to find somebody.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
And I wish that the men would go out into
the world to find.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Somebody versus relying on the dating app because then everyone
and their mom complains like, oh, these dating apps, they're awful,
They're terrible.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
I hate them.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Well, then go out and do something, versus like sitting
at home and being like, well, this is what dating is, now.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
What it's not. Can't you go out?
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Like go outside, I'm I'm I'm there, I'm outside.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
So I guess I agree with you to an extent,
but I also disagree with you only because you know
that you go to a lot of things that involve
gay men I do, but not everything.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Not everything.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
And I know you go to pitch your friend, which
is very much like all kinds of different people go
to that and other kind of like dating like things.
I just feel like the men that are going out
into the world and doing that might not be your type.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Like I men who like going out are all gay.
I guess. No, I'm not saying that.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
No, No, what I'm saying is you're not going to
join a kickball league. And there are tons of say
people in sports leagues, and that's how so many people
like my friends Freddy and Carrie met through a kickball
league and now they have they're married and just had
a baby. So it's like, do you think it sport.
I think you don't have to do sport. I just
think you might need to open up. And I think
(12:16):
you would have no problem with this.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Open up.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Your hobby is to things that would maybe have less
gay men at it.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
You know what I'm saying. Club I don't know know,
not selling clubs. I don't know about that. Hap dance,
come on. It's my feeling.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
About tap dancing is sure there probably would be straight
men at it, but they probably would be there with
their their wife. Yeah, that's true, because I have like
a dream of whoever I date next, that we're going
to take salsa dancing and cue classes together. And you know,
I'm sure that like a guy is not just going
to sign up for a salsa dancing class.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
On his unfortunate but like theirs, single man listening to this,
sign up for salsa dancing class because there's tons of
single women there waiting for you.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Or if you have any recommendations of how can meet
men in the wild in the wild, let her know,
you can text us and let her know. But Bailey,
I'm excited to follow this hinge journey and I can't
wait for an update tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
We'll see if he responds to me. Okay, we'll see
we're actually married.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Oh my, all right, we got to pull it back now,
we have to pull it back, all right. Coming up,
we're gonna get into one last Dave's dirt covering who's
just joined the farm aid lineup and who's pregnant for
the fourth time.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Here's Dave or hold on a second, Sorry my bad,
it's Dave's dirt on kd.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
WB and it is actually Jenny and Bailey here covering
Dave's dirt.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
We're gonna get right into Cardi b A is pregnant.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
You've probably already heard about this, but she's joking about
how her and Sefon Diggs had a little too much
fun and now just pregnant.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
I mean, you know, everybody kept telling me like, I
have to have fun, and we had a little bit
of too much fun and now I'm here, I'm here,
had too much. We had too much fun, and yeah,
we're very exciting.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
I mean, she's such a character.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
If there was like one celebrity I'd love to interview,
it would probably be her, but probably not because I
don't think I could keep up with her humor the
way that she delivers things.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Because it's too fast and my brain would still be processing.
He'd be like, oh ha ha wait huh right, I
don't know. Did you watch Riverdale, Jenny?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I didn't buy it. Seems like the trash she would like.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
I know, I don't know how I miss that era
because I had so many friends that were obsessed with it,
but not I watch it.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
It is so good and so bad. So Madeline Petch
I think is how you say her last name? She
was on call her daddy and she was like ironing out,
who is.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
She a red redhead? Yes? I saw like them promoting it. Yay.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
So she was on Riverdale like the whole series, and
there was rumors going around like throughout that entire series,
like they're they're all sleeping with each other, and she's like, no, here,
I'm gonna I'm gonna come out and tell you the
truth here. I would not touch anyone on that show
with a tech foot poll like, oh, because kJ Appa,
who was the lead he played Archie on Riverdale, he
(15:02):
said that he lost his virginity while he was on
the show, and so then I think that got out
and so now everybody was like, oh, they must all
be sleeping with each other because.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Someone on the show, or he just happened to be.
It might have just been he just happened too.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
But like Cole Sprouse and Lily Ryan Hart were together
for like the whole series as well.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
They were so cute.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Honestly, Jenny, you would really love that show because it
is so trashy. But yeah, she says Madeline pet She's like, Nope,
I would never have touched anybody because that was work
and I'm not going to sleep with anyone I work with,
so dang it, I wish we would have heard like, yes,
so and so is sleeping with so and.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
So and so and this and that not this time around.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Well, a big concert is coming to the Twin Cities
this weekend. It's Farm Made Happen in at Huntington Bank,
and they just added Bob Dylan to the lineup. No,
I know that this is probably your dad's generation of music.
You listen to Katie, this might not be your vibe.
But Bob Dylan obviously has roots from Minnesota, so I
think that this is a pretty awesome thing that he's
going to be performing along with Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews,
(16:10):
not Dave Marron Band, John Mellencamp, John Merricamp, but Kenny
Chesney Trampled by Turtles. So that's a little bit more
of like a millennial generation vibe. Kenny Chesney universal. All
right that man, if you like country, you probably like
Kenny Chesney.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
But it's exciting to know.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
That Bob Dylan's going to be performing at it. And
I do think that there are tickets still available, because
I saw them promoting that there was tickets you could
still buy. So if you don't have anything going on
on Saturday. It's just one big music festival happening at
Huntington Bank pretty much all.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Day long, which is exciting and I kind of want
to go now personally.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
If I was in town, I would go. I know
some people who are going, and I yeah, I would.
I told Dave earlier, was like, why would you want
to go to that? And I'm like, because it just
feels like it's like one of those things. Yes, it's
iconic to see these people who like Sure, I might
not have grown up listening to them, but my parents
probably played them and I would listen to and I'd
always be like, did this happen to you when you
(17:04):
were growing up?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Like you'd want to listen to it? No, you guys
listen to Katie w B.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Well we did, but we also, I mean my mom
really liked you know, oldies and.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Stuff yea seventies.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Our parents always played like their music. Ye never got
to listen to like the Top forty station growing up,
so I was used to listening to that.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Like my dad loved the Beach Boys. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
We would listen to the Beach Boys all the time.
So anyways, I think it would be a really fun
concert to go to.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
If you can say I saw Bob Dylan.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Yeah, like not a lot of people can say, yeah, Nelson.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
He's probably gonna be like they're really old. Do you
think that? Do you think they like happens? Not everyone?
This is Bailey's bit, But no, I don't know. Maybe
they do. Maybe.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
No.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
My question is he'll probably be because he plays guitar,
I believe, so you'd probably be on some kind of
like high stand, like a barstool kind of stand with
a bear. Yeah, but like do you think there's like
extra things to like help him hold himself up?
Speaker 2 (17:59):
You know what I mean, like a marionette.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, like when Katy Perry is like strapped things, oh yeah,
to like fly around, but they actually just like need
to strap Willy Nelson to stuff to just like hold
them off like.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
A weekend at Bernie's situation. I've never thought of that, Jenny,
but I'm so glad you brought that up.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Because now that's what I'm gonna nagmires about tonight, is
Willie Nelson on like a contraption to help him stay.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Ninety too, like he's ninety.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, that's why I'm saying, man, if you I don't know,
if you've ever been a fan of music like this,
I really think that this is one of those concerts
that you should just go to. Just put it on
your list if you're able to buy tickets for it.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
If he's not sitting on a stool, he's coming out
in a lazy boy.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
My grandma's ninety four and she would need help holding
herself up, and I love her death. So okay, good
luck to Willie Nelson.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Good luck. Tell us if you're going.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
If you end up going, no, let us know, send
us an email Dave Ryan's show at katiwb dot com
and let us know if Willie Nelson has to be
strapped up to something.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yeah and wheeled out posted.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
All right, that's it for Dave's Dirts two by six
one two Injured Heimer and Lammer's Injury Law.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
We're gonna be back tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
It's just gonna be Bailey and myself, but once again
Vnson Jersey for a wedding, and Dave jetted off to
the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and they told Bailey and I
y'all are working.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Good luck. Yeah on my birthday. Yeah, on your it's
Bailey's birthday tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
It's my birthday tomorrow everyone, So I'm not annoying like BoNT.
I will only mention it really in exhaustion tomorrow and.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Also go to our social media because we did do
a little bit of an early celebration because I wanted
at least like Dave to be here for it, so
I was like, We're gonna celebrate Bailey's birthday a little
bit early, but you can see the fun cake we
got for Bailey, and then later on you'll probably see
some clips of Bill the Bagpiper was in a.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Shout out to Bill.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
But we'll be back tomorrow and our good friend Tony
is coming in to hang out with us for part
of the show, so he'll be on with us, And
just feel free to email us Ryan Show at katiewb
dot com if there's anything specific you want to talk to.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Bailey and I about. But otherwise, I have a great
rest of your day.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I know it's kind of starting to cool off a
little bit but still staying somewhat warm today and maybe
some showers later, but I'm going to give you a
full report actually right now, watch this Barey say something
Hey Jenny, love you.
