Speaker 1 (00:00):
He loves me.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
He loves me not only one way to find out
more of the Roses. I'm KDWB. Okay, it's kind of
hard to explain what's going on War the Roses, but
I think you'll get it once we kind of go
over everything here. She's not worried that this guy is
cheating on her, and she's not even really worried whether
(00:22):
he's cheating on his girlfriend. Okay, let me have her
explain why Carrie is doing War of the Roses today.
Kind of an unusual motivation, Hi, Carrie.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Hey guys. Yeah, so I have this coworker, Michael, and
I'm not a fan of this guy. He he will
he'll copy my boss email, you know, our boss email,
and throw me under the bus for no reason. I
hear him gossiping about me at work, and it's caused,
(00:57):
you know, like a couple of other coworkers not even
like me that much.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
He's you, guys.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
He's also the kind of guy who, like, he goes
into the kitchen and he eats anybody's food, even if
it's labeled.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
And let me tell you something, I defend him on
that one.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
If you'd leave delicious left over spaghetti and meatballs in
the refrigerator and a little gladware bowl. And you think
that I'm not gonna eat it?
Speaker 5 (01:21):
Is nothing I would want less in life than someone
else's food like that, Like if they had a sub,
if they have like a sub in there that was
freshly made from a restaurant. Yes, but I do not
want to eat Regina's beef stew like gross. Who knows
how Regina prepares and if her cats help prepare it.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
No, it's good enough for Regina to bring in, you
know what. Seriously, I'm gonna dig through. I'm kind of
hungry right now. As soon as we're done with War
of the Roses, I'm gonna dig through the station fridge
and see if I can find Regina's left over there
to see.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
That Dave is like your your buddy Michael that or
your coworker Michael.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Let me go back to the let me go back
to the throwing people under the bus on an email?
So it would it be something like I'm trying to
think of an example of that. Would it be something
like I would copy my boss and email Fallon and
say Fallon for the third time, will.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
You please.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
Necessary to copy the boss on that.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, that's the kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, it's it's it's like subtle jabs and it feels
so manipulative. It's exactly that, or just you know, not
addressing me, like Okay. The big one really is, we
were working on this project together most recently, and I
did you guys, I did all of the work by myself,
and I would reach out to email him, that's to him,
(02:36):
call him, and he never would return my calls. And
after the project wrapped, we had this big meeting and
the boss, in front of everybody, congratulated him on his
amazing work on this project, and he took full credit.
He didn't even mention my work at all, and he
didn't do it.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
He didn't do it.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
I'd blame the boss a little bit on that too.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
But yeah, why because I mean the boss if well,
if the project was assigned to both you, why did
he just assume that Michael did all of the work.
That's a little bit like, okay, unless Michael did what
you say he does like.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Send an email to the boss and be like I
did everything.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
But there are people who do that. There are manipulative
people who will go behind your back and say, yeah,
you know what, Dave's not doing his fair share and
I had to do all the work. When you notice
the opposite is true, there are people that think that
that's the best way to get ahead. The problem is
that that usually catches up to you after a while.
Just hasn't caught up to Michael yet. So, and I
(03:35):
think we've all had something where we're pretty good at
sharing credit on our show, Like if Fallon comes up
with something or I come up with something, we don't
march into the boss and the boss say god, that
was a great idea Fallin and then Fallon goes, yeah,
well thanks, I appreciate that. No show usually give me, like,
you know, partial credit if I did anything.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Yeah, usually if you did. And I'm like, a would
have been nice if you helped who am me? Yeah,
that's what I would say.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I was in the fridge getting some I was getting
genus genus. All right, I have a couple of pro
I have a couple of things to work right here.
First of all, you want to go as far as
to do War of the Roses because you caught him doing.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
What Well, okay, so you guys, I wasn't even thinking
about War of the Roses I listened to you guys
all the time. But then the other day I just
saw him swiping on a Hinge on his phone. And
he has a girlfriend of two years, so I thought, like,
what a great opportunity to kind of ask with him
(04:34):
and a backfire.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
No, it's going to backfire.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Will a backfire? Tell me how?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
What?
Speaker 6 (04:39):
What could possibly backfire?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
He finds out that his co worker is putting him
on the spot on War of the Roses.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Well, I don't I don't even care because I'm detached
at this point. I'm I found a new job, so old.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
So I was going to say, it sounds like an
HR issue, but you don't care if you do get
fired because you get another job.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
Oh maybe I was going to.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Say, HR problems putting your boyfriend on War of the
Roses is one thing. The worst they can do is
get pissed off and leave, right, But a coworker could
march into HR and say, all right, So Carrie saw
me on Hinge, which I had to look up what
hinge was. Hinge is like a dating service, like an
app like tender Bumble or whatever. And you saw him
(05:22):
on there, Yeah, swiping back and forth, meeting chicks babies
on hinge. So your first reaction did this pop into
your mine immediately or did you lay awake thinking about
ways to plot against Michael.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
No. I had just been listening to you guys that
morning on my drive to work, so it was I
think it was just top of the mind, just so
I was like, okay, this could be.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yeah, what if he sends the flowers to his fiance
or his girlfriend or whatever, then you really got nothing
on him at all, and we've all wasted our time.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Kyle was you had hang up on a bail.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
How about this? How about we make a pack right now.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Let's make a pack.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Let's make a pack right now.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, okay, let's do that.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
What is his girlfriend's name, do you know?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah? His girlfriends Marissa?
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Marissa.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Okay, so if he sends them to the flowers to Marissa,
we'll all hang up.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, okay, because that way we got nothing on him
and the whole thing was for nothing. And you can't
go a use for this, well, yeah, because we don't
want you to get in any trouble.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
And it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
It doesn't. It failed. It basically failed. But if he
says anybody but Marissa to send Roses to then you
can go uhh, you sneaky, shady son of a biscuit.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
So hang hang on for one second. We'll be back.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
We're gonna remember a couple of names here, Remember Carrie, Ye, Michael, Michael,
and Marisa and Regina. To go check the fridge right now.
I have no trouble with eating somebody else's leftovers.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
Okay, well you need to address that with yourself.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I'm gonna microwave that gets any bad bacteria. What yeah,
What do you think? Do you think that she's a
terrible person to do this to a coworker? Do you
think that she's justified? Have you ever had a coworker
that has totally taken credit for something that you did
and eats people's lunches out of the fridge.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
There's so much to talk about annoyance.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Before we make the phone call, call me or text
me at KATWB one. That's our short code kd WB
one or call it six ' five one nine eight
nine KWB. War of the Roses Part Are They Cheating?
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I find out?
Speaker 6 (07:46):
Part two of War of the Roses starts right now
on KDWB.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
So what do you think on War of the Roses?
Got a bunch of phone calls, a bunch of text messages.
Let's get to the phone calls first, because people got
to get to work and got to get to school
and things like that. We've got on the phone online
one it looks like so, Sophonia, Hello Sophonia, how are you?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Dave? I got a quick question to ask anything. What
you work at?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
I work at iHeartMedia, and how many people work there?
About Halfonia? This is why we love you. We needed
Aphonia insidelines. You can call it anytime, Yes, the Sphonia line.
What do you think of War of the Roses? Siphonia?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I think this guy his behavior, if he treats his
co workers like crap, it is indicative of the.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
Type of person he is. I'd be willing to bet
his seating because of the bottom line, you've been with
somebody for two years?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Why you on a Jaydent site?
Speaker 6 (08:40):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
And you know that's that's a good point. And I
do think you can tell. The biggest indication of what
somebody's personality is really like is when you work with
them and when they get a little bit of power.
Because if somebody gets a little bit of power and
then It's like, what do they say, absolute power corrupts? Absolutely,
So if somebody is like powerful at work and they
treat you like crap, that is a big tab into
what kind of person they are.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
So phone, you have a great day. Okay, you're so sweety.
Bye bye bye, Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
You call you sweetie. Do you feel like there's a chance.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Maybe d from Brooklyn Park? What do you think is
going on here?
Speaker 3 (09:13):
I am all for Carrie on this. I think her
actions are completely justified if he is really that much
of a dirt bag. I had a classmate who not
only took credit of something I did once, but twice.
I don't talk to her anymore.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
I don't blame you.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
That really does suck, because, you know what, it is
a little bit difficult, not difficult, but you have to
sometimes remember to share credit because it means so much
to the other people, and it actually makes you look
better because it makes you look honest. So Fallon and
I recorded we're working on our charity CD for Ducks Unlimited,
and Fallon writes fifty percent of the songs. And so
(09:52):
when people say will you play at our events? Who
wrote the songs? I say, well, Fallon and I co
wrote all the songs.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
I know and before. You don't know this, but I
was in a different.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Band, and to this day I am tied up in
legal fees from suing him for constantly taking songwriting credit.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Don't blame you, Thank you, d I appreciate it. These
like what are you guys talking about?
Speaker 6 (10:16):
This is funny.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
I have a feeling I'm going to be annoyed by
this guy's voice.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
You might be all right, just find out.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Let's make the phone call on part two of War
of the Roses, Michael.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
We're going to set you up with a dozen long,
stam romantic roses and we'll send those out this week.
All I need from you is a first and last
name of the recipient.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Oh sweet, send them to.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
Eve, okay, and you can attach it, like with most flowers,
a card or a note if you would like.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Yeah, looking forward to seeing you again. It's always better
with you.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Oh that's not better than your girlfriend. So it's better
with Eve than it is than Marissa. Just Garrie, it's
a logical question, what.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Well, there's so much to it, so much to explain, Michael.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
I'm not sure where to explain it.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
But I'm going to start by saying that you're kind
of busted in that you should have sent roses to
your girlfriend Marissa and probably not to Eve and say
that she's better.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Well, how do you know I have a girlfriend?
Speaker 6 (11:29):
Good question, Dave White.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I actually didn't know you have a girlfriend, but I
was told this by a coworker of yours named Carrie.
You know Carrie. Yeah, right, Well, Carrie called me and
I should tell you who I am. I'm Dave Ryan
and I work at KATIEWB radio station. I'm not sure
if you know it. And then that was Fallen. That
was so then Fallen also worked with me. So Carrie
(11:52):
called me and Fallen and said, I worked with this
guy and she kind of holds a grudge against you
because she says you're kind of hard to work with.
So she wanted to put you on the spot. She
saw you swiping around on hinge.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
You guys, you have a girlfriend, Marisa of like two years.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
And so on the phone right now, feeling pretty gleeful.
Right now is Carrie who is busted you?
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Hi? Yeah? Feeling that's that's a good word for it.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
There you go, So you can't you can't do this.
You can't do this, I'll go, oh.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
You know what, that's fine, you can. You can do
vhr thing because I actually have a big job that
I'm leaving in two weeks, so I am going to
I have nothing to lose, and this feels really good,
and I'm gonna go a.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Why would you?
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Why we nail this? And just see see your your
girlfriend and then a link to this audio. And I'm
not going to take all the credit on your cheating,
just like you took all the credit on the projects
every single time we work together.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
What would you do? Okay, I only explained that that's
really uncool, you know, and it's not professional.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
By the way, Well then call me on'cool. But I'm
feeling pretty darn cool right now.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
We are now looking at the total for our match
day with Treasure Island on Katie WB and we're behind
where we were last week, and I'm gonna just I'm
gonna give you a little bit of pressure and say, hey,
we've got another thirty five minutes to get as much
money for Christmas Wish as we can, and we'd like
to get to ten thousand dollars because that would be
a super awesome amount that would be twenty thousand dollars
(13:33):
with Treasure Island's match, and we're about five thousand, five
hundred right.
Speaker 6 (13:37):
Now, Yeah, four ten dollars okay, all right, so we
just need you to help us out.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, I'm really happy with that amount, but I really
want to take advantage of the fact that Treasure Island
is helping out, and we'll double your donation and just
think about you know, I use different things to like
make you maybe feel motivated, and one of mine is
if you've got your tree up and you got your
ornaments on there, and you got your ornaments that you
(14:02):
made as a kid that they're still there, or ornaments
that your kids made, or you've got plans for Christmas
that involve going somewhere or eating a lot of rich, fattening,
wonderful salty food and drinking a lot and having just
a regular, wonderful Christmas time, then you are again very blessed.
(14:24):
If you've got kids that are healthy, If you've got
kids that got up this morning and you had to
drop them off to school and wait in that god
awful drop offline, and you listen to the radio on
the way in, and you're going to a job that
you enjoy or at least tolerate, and your kids are
healthy and happy and they want a brand new XYZ
(14:45):
for Christmas, then counter blessings.
Speaker 6 (14:48):
Yeah, counter blessings and don't take it for granted.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I think we're really good at that. We're really good
at taking everything from granted for granted, whether it's our health,
the health of our kids, our jobs, all of that,
we take it for granted. There's a lot of people
that wish they had what we have, So share that
a little bit and donate to Christmas Wish. If you
are blessed with a healthy child, yes, if you are
(15:12):
blessed with healthy spouse and your own health and your
own financial situation, then counter blessings and share that with
Christmas Wish and we will do our best to make
sure we're helping other people. So donate online KTIWB dot com,
slash wish. What's coming up on the show, Jenny.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
We're going to play lyrics shuffle.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
A lyric shuffle, Okay, we'll do it. Coming up next
