Speaker 1 (04:23):
Thank you didn't expect to win one. Here you go, KDWB.
Let's find out what's going on with vaunt sturing the
pot today? Vaughan, what's on your mind?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
I don't understand celebrity worshiping, and it's not just Taylor
Swift like some people. You know, obviously that's the thing
right now, But I know a lot of people that
will follow celebrities or artists to every tour stop.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
That they go to.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
And I'm like, first of all, where do you get
the money? Let me know what you're doing, because I
could use some cash. But you go to every tour stop,
You're in the front row. Do you don't have a job.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
We used to wonder about that the first time I
I wondered about that. One is the people who go
to the Academy Awards and wait all day to watch
the red carpet processional. Yeah, And we had somebody on
who's like, oh, yeah, we go to the Academy Awards
every year. We pay like good money to sit in there,
blah blah blah blah blah. And I'm like, I just don't.
I just like celebrities work, but a lot of the
time I don't care about them personally, right, And.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Like it's kind of, you know, it's your job to
care about them, which makes sense as you work in
top forty radio, But like I think with something like
Academy Awards, that's a once in a lifetime thing with
like a big artist that I love their music or whatever,
and I want to go to their concert. That might
be like a you know, two or three times in
a lifetime thing, but following them on every tour stop
(05:42):
would be exhausting because then, yeah, I would think, don't
you have a job, and I don't.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
I don't know if idolizing is the word I want
to use, but it's fine to have like people you
look up to, right, maybe not idolized, but to you know,
go to every single stop or city or find out
a coffee shop they're at. They don't know you. This
is a good they don't know you. Sometimes you do
it so much they probably do Nanda Well. I think
it's kind of like any passion. I mean, does fantasy
football really? I mean, fantasy football is kind of the
(06:07):
same thing in a way. It's meaningless. I'm sure you
can have some fun with it, but it's like a hobby.
It is like collecting coins or stamps. No, Like I've
seen Sabrina Carpenter in concert eighteen times. That's kind of
my hobby. I don't think it's just for me. I
don't think it's the same. You're not like harming anybody
by doing those harmless things. Right, There's some people that
become so like such stands of an artist or whatever
(06:30):
that gets kind of creepy, and they'll start following them
trying to find out where they live.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Well, I think we can all agree that those people
are not good people. But I think being just a
super fan is different than being a crazy person.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
I think it could evolve into that, and I think
that's typically how it does. I'm just saying it's not
worth the comparison of like fantasy football or like a
hobby like magic tricks or something. Yeah, it's obsessing with
a grown adult, and it's strange, and this person is
never going to pay your tuition.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
That's worse than someone obsessing over like anime or something.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
A little bit.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Yeah, because anime you're not going to I mean, maybe
you can go to Comic Con or like I guess
that's where they have anime things. Yeah, that's cool, right,
But when you start fixating on like a certain person,
person who's an adult who has a life and is
a person just like you, puts two legs in their
pants every morning just like you do, then it gets
a little much.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
I feel, I mean, I feel that way about a
lot of just obsession in general, where it's like, gosh,
there's other things that could be in your brain and
you're taking all of your effort and putting it into
this one thing, and so it does I agree with you, Von,
where it feels a little weird when it's a person
versus like a hobby like or you know, a special
interest like anime or woodworking, and you want to put
(07:35):
all your eggs in that basket. But when the eggs
are all in a person's basket, I understand that's kind
of I get where you're coming from.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah, I think as there are different personal preferences though,
is like some people cannot stand onions on their hamburger
and other people just love them. It's like everybody's a
little bit different where it's like, you know, some people
you're like, oh, cheese curds or gross, and other people like, no,
they're so good. If you want to follow celebrities, I
mean that's your thing. I think as long as you
don't do overdue, as long as you don't make your
entire personality I'm a Taylor Swift fan. As long as
(08:04):
you don't make your entire personality. I'm an anime fan,
but then again, we know those.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
People who do you do know those people?
Speaker 5 (08:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
We do, Thank you. Aunt. It is KDWB Charlie xc
X before Dave's Dirt on KDWB. He's to the latest
gossip at Channel four. It's Dave Dirt on kd w B.
I don't want you to think we're stupid or unaware
of the active shooter incident over in South Minneapolis. We
mentioned that a little while ago, and it was at
(08:33):
the school slash church K through eight. From what we understand,
there were apparently i'm gonna say, victims or injured. We
don't have any details, but we have heard that the
shooter is now deceased. Yes, we have no more information,
and we will try to get it for you as
soon as we can.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
However, it does say please stay away from that neighborhood
and let the people get through because there are victims
that need help. Please do not see a bunch of
cops and be like I want to see what's going on.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
No, stay away, Okay.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Now, weirdly, we got to move into more lighthearted things,
which we'll do and try to make it as less
awkward as we possibly can. Everybody was chattering yesterday about
Taylor and Travis, and I heard it yesterday when I
was at the State Fair. I had just bought an
uncrust a burger and I was sitting there about to
eat it, and Susan wanted a piece, and she had
bought a knife or brought a knife to what to
cut it in half. But then she got caught up
(09:26):
instantly in the Tailor Travis engagement story. By the time
she was done reading on Instagram, I had consumed the
entire uncrust a burger. It is very good, absolutely worth
a Try share it with somebody because it is going
to fill your belly and you won't want cheese, curage,
French fries or a pork chop on a still afterword, Yeah,
(09:47):
he still got other things? Oh I did?
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I mean?
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Come on? Of course.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Also earlier we were talking about Taylor Swift's wedding ring
or engagement ring costing about five hundred and fifty thousand
dollars with a carrots. But now I like celebrity jewelers
are coming out saying it's actually probably worth way more,
anywhere from like three point five to five million, and
that it's closer to twenty carrots.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I was gonna say, it's pretty big, the size of
a little bit smaller, about the size of a dimer,
a little bit smaller. So this thing is about the
size of your thumb joint.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yeah, I mean, obviously a half a million dollars is
still like a ton of money, but like I low
key thought, I'm kind of surprised they didn't spend more.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Same.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Also, Berniinge Man is happening right now, and there was
a crazy dust storm the first day of it, which basically,
if you don't know what Bernie Man is, it's this
big like art installation festival. There's music, there's people camping
for like two weeks at a time, and it's in
the middle of nowhere. It's just like desert space. So
these dust storms can really like take things out. People
(10:47):
have to like hole up in their cars or whatever
to be like safe from it. Well, the dust storm
unfortunately destroyed the orgy dome at Bernie.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Really yeah, oh yes.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
It was titled.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Official title.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Oh is that legal?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Whatever they want to do in public, it's technically the public.
It is.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
They create a big dome like it's like think of
when people do pop up tents for an outside wedding.
It's kind of like that sort of vibe. But yes,
exactly so. Unfortunately, if you were planning on going to
Burning Man that is destroyed currently, I'm sure they'll get
that up and running within the next couple of days though,
because what's Burning.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Man, Well without the orgy dome. But also I'm thinking
about sand. Now sand blows into the orgy dome, Well,
you know you're going to get the abrasions, fishers, even
you're going to get fishers.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Honestly, I don't want to equate this to war, but
to describe what the orgy dome looks like, it is
literally just a big tent with a bunch of like
mattresses on the ground, And all I can think of
is like a war movie where there's like soldiers getting
help from nurses. Like it looks like trie.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
No, how do you find stories like that? You're ridiculous,
ridiculous of all of the pop calls are okay, charge
you extra to go in the orgy dome, and what
would happen to Jenny walks into the orgy dome? Yeah,
people be like welcome, come on in. I walk in,
people would crawl out from underneath the other side of
the tent.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
They just wouldn't look up. They'd just be continuing their
really smells in there. It's also burning, man. If people
can't smell good, just.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Dirty, smelly orgies.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
I think that that's where it would become illegal if
you have to pay to go into it. I think
everything at Bernie Man. Once you pay to get in,
you're in. And also Bernie Man is super expensive. It's
not like your typical like EDM festival. We're just saying
how much you want to go. Well, I know I
can't afford this, but I would love to bring be
my little camera van along for the ride sometime.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Kve Pop Demon Hunters has become the most watched movie
in Netflix history. It's been streamed totally thirty six million times.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Wow okay, which is bonkers.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
And so now they are underway with coming up with
a sequel, which makes sense because it is so popular.
And this weekend they had like sing along versions just
for Saturday and Sunday and made eighteen million dollars off
of that as well.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
So pretty big.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Deal, crazy Netflix and all its creations. And that's the
most What is it most streamed.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Most streamed ever on Netflix, most watched movie in Netflix history.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
K Pop people, you know, they go crazy for what they love.
This is good. Bruno Mars is going to be in
Vegas on New Year's Eve.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
Take a pre sales happen this morning for two shows,
one on the December thirtieth and the thirty first Atdobe
Live Park MGM. And then if you're gonna be in
Vegas around New Year's Eve, there's other options. You can
go see j Lo at Caesar's Palace if anybody's going
to see j Long. And of course BSB is still
doing the sphere and this will be Bruno's hundredth residency
show at Adobe Live at Park MGM.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Good for him.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Also, some other like good breaking news is that Adam
Thielen has been traded back to the Vikings. So he's
on his way coming home. He was on the Panthers.
He's back with the Viking.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
That was quick.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Uh huh. I don't know how that works.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I'm just oneting everyone know. I appreciate that, all right.
That is the ad dirt brought to you by six
one two Injured Heimer and Lammer's Injury Law. We will
see you tomorrow. But Bailey j Hess he is going
to go out to the State Fair any second now,
you'll be on there by eleven.
Speaker 3 (14:23):

And I don't know, bring me a cheese curd and
I'll eat it. It'll be great. And if you don't
know where we are, we're in Karasel Park. Look for
Kfan and we're next to Kfan fabulous.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
