the hotel tickets to the festival.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
But you gotta enter this keyword.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
What a one point FREEKDWB has your shot at one
thousand dollars and a trip to our iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Now text the nationwide keyword festival to two hundred to
two hundred. You'll get a confirmation text and info standard
data and message ry supply in this nationwide contest. That's
festival to two hundred to two hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
All right, So text that in festival is a keyword.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
You're texting to two hundred two hundred, not our normal
texting line.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Go to two hundred two hundred.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Keyword is festival, and you're entered in for a chance
to want a trip to the iHeartRadio Music Festival. So
Van was kind of talking to us the off air
recently about how he went to go see justin Timberlake February. Yeah,
and you know, he's been in the news a lot lately.
There's been a lot of making fun of JT and
how he seems kind of lazy at his concert.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
So, Van, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 5 (01:09):
I just feel like, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
At the time, I loved it because I was waiting
for it for so long. But I feel like Justin
Timberlake is way past his prime, and I'm glad that he's,
you know, still torn that he's able to do it,
but his dance moves were not up there. So I
wanted to know what artists do you feel like you
saw past their prime in concert?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah, So we're gonna do that for Talkback Tuesday today.
So go to the iHeartRadio app. There's a little red
microphone button that you're gonna click, and you have thirty
seconds to tell us who did you see past their prime?
What concert did you go see past their prime? And
then just tell us why it was bad.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I know a lot of people have brought up Mary J.
Bligh just kind of like but she's.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Older than Justin Timberlake, so I'll give her the pass off.
She's just up there, Timberlake, even though he's passes prime.
He's still a bit young, but he's still trying to
dance like he's in sync.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, and he seems a bit rickety.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Sorry, I mean it happens to the best of us.
It's called aging.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
You don't know much about that quite yet, but trust me,
once you turn like thirty, it's like my back.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I hope I'm like sixty and I still look and
move like I'm thirty. You won't.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah, I don't know, like Breg, but.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, we're gonna do that for talkback Tuesdays. So we'd
love to hear who did you see past their prime?
Go to the talkback feature on the iHeartRadio app. I'm
pretty sure Dave has said that the Beach Boys were
kind of a little eh the last time you saw them.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
That one like clip of Frankie Valley, who's.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
The shary schary baby.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
That guy, and he was in like the Four Seasons,
I think, and he like walked out on stage and
they had him come out. He's like, I don't know,
eighty something, and it was he looked kind of like
a creepy Marionette doll. And they tried to pass it
off like he was singing. That man was not singing,
and I would be like.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
This man is far past this prime. This guy's actually
going stale, He's going bad.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
We'll tell us your experience with that.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Like I said, just go to the talk back feature
on the iHeartRadio app and we're going to play those back.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Coming up next, the inspiration for Baby Got Back.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Oh my God?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Jenny on the Dave Bryan Show on Katie WB Talkback Tuesday.
Who did you See Past Their Prime? In concerts?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Good morning? Who did I See Past Their Prime? The
Pointer Sisters. It was at the Land and Google's band
show at the State Fair and they were down to
one Pointer sister, so there was only one member of
the original group, but she was performing with her daughter
and her granddaughter. It was a lot of fun, very entertaining,

(03:39):
but when you're down to one sister of three, yeah,
i'd call it a little past her prime.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Hang it up.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Oh yeah, here's another one.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
I went to a Madonna concert in Las Vegas about
five years ago and it was horrible, hor ra ble,
worst concert I've ever been to.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Weird.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I mean a lot of people have complained because she
has been so late on this late last tour that
she did. Yeah, she'd come on stage at I don't
even know eleven pm and she was supposed to start
at nine or something, and I'm like, yeah, I probably
wouldn't want to do that either. And who else was
in town recently? Not recently, but in the last probably
six months. I think it was Nicki Minaj.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
We have a couple of texts too.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
This one says Willie Nelson. It was terrible. He literally
sang so fast through his songs. It was awful. It's
like he couldn't wait to get off the stage and
be done singing. Because at that point, why are you
even there? Like, just don't tour, don't do the show
because they need money, I assume.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
I guess. I'm surprised.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Nobody said Katy Perry too. She's way past her prime.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I don't think so at all. I think she still performs.
She has a very theatrical concert. Our friend Tony went
to go see her when she was in town, and
I mean, it still looks great to me, if you
ask me, I think that she's.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Still a great performer.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yeah, does she have great new music, No, but if
she sticks to the hits, yeah, true.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I would still go see her.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Another textas Janet Jackson, but I would go again, Okay, Okay.
Another one says I saw Lauren Hill several years ago
when I worked at House of Blues in Dallas, and
she had no clue what she was doing and had
to use a teleprompter.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
It was kind of sad.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
How old is Lauren Hill?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
I don't go to be her fifty?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
See, that's not that Yeah, you have to use like
a teleprompter.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yeah, Like, but all the Laurence Hill's biggest songs are
off that one album that she put out how many
years ago, forever and ever ago?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Yeah, she's exactly fifty. See. I think of it kind
of like you're like, why are you even touring?

Speaker 6 (05:37):
I think of the same thing with like nerdy you know,
like conventions like Twin Cities con and they have like
people who just do like the circuit, like the convention
circuit because they need money. So like I met Steve's
step from Blues Clues at a convention. How is that
man making any other money other than through social media?

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Legend right there? Probably, but you know what I mean,
like if you don't.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Still on those so he would get money from residuals.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
I don't think his seasons are on anymore.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, they replaced him with somebody else, and they even
replaced them with somebody.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Else and then replace them.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
So it's yeah, so I totally get like why they
continue going on tour even if they're past their prime.
But I it would be nice if they had like
the wherewithal to maybe like what you were saying earlier
about justin Timberlake trying to do all these dances that
he used to do and now he can't do it anymore.
Regardless of why he can't do it anymore, why not
just update your performance so that you don't have to

(06:31):
do the dances anymore. Yeah, No, you're totally right. Yeah,
I would just go a different route. Sit on a stool,
do all of your ballads. That sounds great.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Well, there is the Big iHeartRadio Music Festival coming up
in September in Vegas, and that is a concert that
a lot of artists are going to be at and
none of them are going to be past their prime. No,
it's like at Shecheran, Maroon Five, Tate McCray and if
you missed it earlier, the keyword to enter for a
chance to win a trip to Vegas for it is
festival and you're going to text festival into two hundred
two hundred for a chance to win, and you also

(07:01):
get a.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Thousand dollars cash.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
So you got your gambling money, you got your trip
to Vegas hotel and a really.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Fun concert to go see.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
I have a couple other text messages about and you
can text really with talkback.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
What artists did you see past their prime?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Somebody said I saw the Beach Boys a few years
back and it wasn't amazing.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what Dave said.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Yeah, I saw Jesse McCartney two years ago at the
Fillmore plot twist.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
It was fantastic. I would go again one percent.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Oh that's good. I'm happy.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Plot twist.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
He probably needed to like be really good though, if
he was like touring again, considering he had like one
hit song and you can come for me, but really
like what else.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Do with one?

Speaker 5 (07:36):
With Dreams Street? What is it? Duh? It happens every
time when I see you.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I'm gonna look up and see if we have it?
You know it now that you sing it? I think
I do.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
I used to play like a I don't know it
feel like it was a part of like a advertising
campaign on like Disney Channel that your trying to sell it.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Oh, it was so good.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I love that song, Jesse McCartney, Hold on our system
is very slow.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
You know.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Katy Perry was so fun.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
I oh, Evin, yeah that too.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
So two hit wonders plus the dream Street song, which
was a one hit wonder. But he was in dream
Street when he was truly like twelve. Of course we
don't have Dream Street.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I know, but I thought maybe we would. We don't.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
It's okay, I could sing it for you during the break.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Well, thanks for all that for talking back Tuesday. We
appreciate it. Coming back with the Dave's Dirt here in
a second, we are going to talk about what are we.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Going to talk about?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I don't know, guys.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Should we talk about Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson again,
or do we want to talk about iced tea? Like?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
What celebrity should we go in on? Vin?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I was gonna say, I'll tell you about a celebrity
who said no album for at least five years.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Okay, I'm interested to hear about that.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Okay, Well, the first we're gonna play Justin Bieber. It's daisies.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
We also thought we weren't going to get any new
music from him for a very long time, and here
we are, surprise album.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Out of nowhere.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Dave's dirt on Katie w b all right.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Von Tell, who's not coming out with new music.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
It is a chapel roone.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
She said that there's no new album in the works
and we might not get another one for five years.
She said quotes. I'm not the type of writer that
could pump it out, so she needs to take some
tips from Taylor Swift.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
She did release like a clip from her new music
video for the Subway, which is like the new song
that she had come out last week. Yeah, and she
has like a bob in it, like she has short hair,
so she like cut all of her hair off. I
was trying to clock whether or not it was a
wig or not, but I'm pretty sure it was her
hair because she's like in the wind in this clip

(09:35):
that she posted and her hair is whipping around. So
either she actually cut her hair or that wig is glued.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
On high heavens.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
But apparently her when like the Subway comes out on
like record vinyl on vinyl, it's going to be a
clear vinyl that has like long strands of red hair
in it. Oh so I don't I doubt it's her
hair because she won't have enough fense.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
Another sounds like being printed or yeah, exactly, so I
think that's that's kind of cool.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
I have friends that collect vinyl for reasons like that,
that are like weird pressings that are interested no.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Loss, Like your one friend who collects to you.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
This is a different friend who collects vinyl.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
But yeah, like for weird pressings that are you know, artsy, fartsy.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Yeah, whatnot.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Okay, they did a study recently, and I'm going to
ask you this first, Bailey, before I give the results.
What do you think is worse being ghosted or being
flat out rejected?

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Flat out rejected? Okay, I feel like being ghosted.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
I can blame the guy who's ghosting me versus being
flat out rejected. I will blame myself for messing it
up somehow.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
So they did a research with two hundred and fifty
college students through a dating simulation with the fictional crush,
and so you were either rejected, ghosted, or agreed to
a third date. And of course people who were like
on the third date they were happy whatever. But the
rejected and ghosted people had bruised egos and increasedive emotions
compared to the ones who got the third date. But

(11:03):
people who were ghosted felt more emotionally attached than the
rejected ones.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
They were more likely to.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Stalk the fictional person social media's and send a just
checking in text. Basically, those who were ghosted were still
hanging on really, And I think that that's probably how
I am, because I just want closure and I want answers.
I like, if you ghost me, I'm very confused, Whereas like,
if you can give me an answer, yeah, like you

(11:33):
talk about farting too much, Yeah, I'd be like, you're right,
I do, and I'm not going to change, so it
makes sense. Whereas like, if you ghost me, I'm like
wait what. And honestly, there's only one person I can
specifically think about that I was shocked about because we
had this fantastic date. I'm literally like he was like
all about it whatever. Then like a couple weeks later,

(11:54):
we were both busy, we weren't really able to get together,
and then I would like reach out to him.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
He's like, sorry, I'm busy, blah blah, blah blah.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
A few months later, he was dating someone and I
because I obviously did my research right, I'm like positive
they met at a wedding right after him and I
had gone on that date, and so he must have
just had a better connection with her right off the bat.
And know they're married and they have kids and that's
fantastic for them. But I wish I would have just
been told like, hey, sorry, I met someone.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Well, yeah that I feel like that. If that was
the case, I would rather be rejected.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
If it's like I met somebody else, so sorry, have
a good life.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
I'd rather that.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
But like, I have been rejected before, and I've been
ghosted before, and being ghosted I can blame them and
be like, well there's something wrong with them. But when
I was rejected, he gave me a list of things
that were wrong with me, and I think about it
all the time, So like, I'd rather not be rejected, Like,
you're too self deprecating.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Was that someone you dated for.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
A while, like three months?

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Okay, you can't let that person get in your head. Well,
he just lives there right.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
For you with a supermodel girlfriend that I just moved
in with.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, I think if you're in a relationship for a
long time and then all of a sudden they give
you things to reject you with, that hurts pretty badly.
But like if it's fairly new, like you shouldn't care
about their opinion because they don't really truly know you.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Then yeah, in my opinion, yea, I.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
Guess I'm another outlier on this very scientific study.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Yeah, I mean as scientific as I can get with
two hundred and fifty college students that had a dating
simulation with a fictional crush.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
So there you go. But that'll do it for Dave's Dirt.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Today it's brought to you by six to one to
two Injured Himer's and Lammer's Injury Law. And tomorrow we
will have more two for Tate that'll come up. We
also on Wednesdays, I'm like, what day of the week
is it. I don't know why, but this summer, I know,
but Tomorrow's Wednesday.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Tomorrow's Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
This summer, I have been so confused as to what
day it is because I feel like we've had a
pretty nice summer for the most part. Mine is some
of like the two extreme heat waves that I'm not about.
So I'm like, I don't know, it feels like a Thursday,
but it's only Tuesday because I'm in like summer mode.
You know, today does not feel like Tuesday. It feels
like it's at least Wednesday already. Anyway, tomorrow's Wednesday. Tomorrow's Wednesday.

(14:07):
We're gonna be playing Face Off. We'll have more tickets
for two for Day anything else exciting you guys think
we'll be bringing.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
To the table tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I'm showing up.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Yeah, I'm rushing out here. Tomorrow, I'm going on a trip.
Oh yeah, you're like leaving.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Tomorrow's my last day on the show, just because ever forever.
Now I'm going to Texas for the weekend.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
So just me and Jenny are going to hang out
and have girl friends. We aren't in the whole hands.

Speaker 6 (14:30):
Our periods are going to sync up, and it's gonna
be great, great.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Fun to be.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
So that's what you have to look forward to for
Thursday and front. Yeah, but tomorrow we'll do some other things.
We're going to party. According to mot well, thanks for listening.
We will attack to you tomorrow morning.
