Speaker 1 (00:01):
A little baby update on kd WB. Do we have
a little baby update? Little thing here and now baby watch,
Baby Watch, Baby watches on for Allison's third baby, she
went to the hospital with contractions. Now, I don't really
know how the whole female system works. You've had a
(00:22):
million children, Yeah, but there's certain things like I guess
the plug came out the other day. Like it it's
a little cork with a ring on it so you
can lift it up's got a chain on it, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
And then it swirls. Her water broke, but it swirls.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
It swirls around. Yeah, So the water broke and the
plug and something came out, and then she's got like dilation,
so it's like, you know, one centimeter, four centimeters whatever.
And that's been going on for a few days. And
so she's just sitting around waiting for contractions, doing all
the things we talked to her yesterday. Are you walking
on the curb with one foot on the curb and
one foot in the street. She's tried everything, and so
(01:00):
she started with contractions this morning, So a few hours
ago she was on her way to the hospital. So
no updates yet.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Do you know the name of this kid? Or what
it's going to be, do you do? Okay, I'm excited
to find out.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, not my place to say. No. I figure Skeeter, Skeetere,
Skeeter would be a great name for a girl, would
be I love it. Skeeter would be a great name.
But the problem it's such a character filled name. And
I know a Skeeter. Did you know a Skeeter from Oklahoma?
I worked with him at Bubba Gump. Okay, a character
he was very much a Southern yeah guy.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
But if you grow up with a name Skeeter, all
the kids are going to be like, oh, hey, Muskeeter, Mosqueter,
Hey Moskeeter. Right.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Well that But I feel like in general, the name
Skeeter or any kind of big names such as Skeeter,
has so much personality with it that you better have
a big personality.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
It's kind of like I heard somebody, I think my
grandma said, never wear a hat with more character than
you Yes, And I think that's very true. Like some
people with a lot of character could come in wearing
a fedora or a top hat or a big like
a sombrero because they have a lot of character. Like
Ben or Tony could come in wearing a sombrero or
a fedora. They'd pull it off. I don't have any character.
I gonna wear a ball cap and a plain one
(02:11):
at that.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, we would make fun of you so hard if
you walked in with something crazy like.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
It's just not me. You gotta never wear thanks Grandma.
Never wear a hat that has more character than you have,
because you got to have the character to pull it off.
So that's baby watch on KJWB. Here's just been the
baby watch it is.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
He has to say that, Well, we're gonna keep watching.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I love that. I'll let you know if anything happens.
All right, we're measuring heartbeats here in the studio. What
is your resting heart rate? Bailey?
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Oh, right now, I'm gonna it feels like I'm gonna die.
It's at eighty nine.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Well, you just stood up and stuff. So that's it
really does cause it to go off a little bit.
From doing that, I'm gonna breathe a little bit.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Anytime I stand up, my heart rate starts to pump.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Gave me his little heart. What is this apple watch? Okay,
it's right now. It's measuring.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Listen to what he's resting heart rate is this is amazing.
Min fifty fifty. Anything under sixty is like really impressive.
Mine is about seventy. If you have like a one,
that means you're dead, right, well, you mean you're you're
really close to death. Story yet a minute, what is
it saying now.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Now it's eighty. I don't am I I mean I
am pretty poor nutrition.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
But you walk, you walk a lot. But here's the
thing about walking, not to disparage walking is an exercise.
It's great, but our bodies are so accustomed to walking
that we handle it really well.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
But for an hour and a half to two, that's right,
I'm like, well, at least I do that.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
That's great. I think I'm no expert. But what they
tell me over its snap is you really got to
get that. You gotta get that heart up pump in
a way. What's the app on the Apple Watch? Because
I'm in the different Healthy it's the health app. It's
the heart shape or heartbeat. It looks like a heart.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Oh no, it just show right up on your Apple Watch,
the heartbeat. Yeah, right now, it always did.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I was looking at that seventy three, Now that seems
so bad.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah, you're a fine.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Eleven minutes ago. Mine was sixty six. Now it's seventy nine,
probably because I stood up.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
So not to get too deep into the weeds here,
but my I'm a little bit concerned because my heart
rate recovery time. Like if I'm really like I'm on
the stair climber over its snap and I got a
thirty pound pack on, my heart rate will get up
to like one sixty five or one seventy. But my
recovery has gotten worse since like April, it's plummeted. I
used to recover twenty four heart beats in a minute,
(04:29):
and now it's down to twelve in a minute.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
So the faster you recover, the healthier you are. And
I'm like, is there something wrong with my heart? So
you're like the reason I bring it up because I'm
gonna hike up Pike's Peak. Yeah, a week from tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
So you're like nervous, So you're I know you're you
said you're nervous because this is different than the last time.
But like, how are you going to do it differently
because of you being nervous?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Like will you do it any differently?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
No? Different? Well, we're gonna hike it half at a
time and stay at a little cabin halfway out.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Heah, you're doing it very differently, he did. It's one
solid swoop last.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, it took me eleven hours. And for reference, it
takes a fit, a very fit young person four hours
to do it. Wow or less? Yeah, took me eleven
hours to do it.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Are you scared you're gonna have to like call.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
For help or something? Right, That's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Like less, you get halfway up and you realize the
easiest way out is to keep going up because you
can hike back down.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Is it easy to get to the road that people
drive up from the hike or no?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Would no, there's no trail access at all. They would
have to like like stretcher you out or maybe helicopter
you out.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
So, yeah, what's a normal heart rate? What should it
be at? Like when you're just.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Saying resting, ye, sixty five ish? And again I'm no expert,
but I would say sixty five ish. There's a cardiologist
listening right down. She's like, going, you guys are so stupid.
This is all wrong, Dave, You're fine if you're a cardiologist.
We don't have health insurance here at iHeart. Nope, they
give us a bucket of leeches once in a while
if we need leeches. But other than that, so wow,
they gave you leeches. Yeah what I got.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Someone texted saying fifty is too low, but for athletes,
it's okay.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
There's no question. Jenny is an athlete.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
And I'm here too, that eight and.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Bailey's here too. All right, let's go ahead and do
Dave's dirt.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Give me my watch back, Okay, all right, thank you,
and now with the Soybean report.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
He here's Dave or hold on a second, Sorry my bad,
it's Dave's Dirt.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
On KD W B.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Kind of a cool little thing. Miiley Cyrus gifted a
song to her dad and it sounds a little bit like, well,
let's see if you get the same vibe that I
get from this. I think it sounds like Stevie Nicks
or Fleetwood math Steve. The song sounds a little bit
like Stevie Nicks and a cute little just a tiny
(06:44):
little snippet of Travis Kelsey's dad. A reporter asked them
a question about why Travis is so happy.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Where do you think that happiness is stemming from the
coming from Taylor.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
There's no question about it. I mean, if I was
dating Taylor Swift, I'd be pretty happy too, probably. I mean,
come on, all that sour dough, all that, and she's
Taylor Swift. I mean, come up.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Pumpkin Spice came back and at Caribou on Thursday, and
now it is back at Starbucks today. I had asked
earlier if there's any local coffee shopice that are doing it,
and someone did Texan Finna in Wyzetta. Fi Na does
have their pumpkin shrinks out, so you can go check
that out as well.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
The lish Ka not Katie Cap. I'm got Katy Cap
on the brain.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Kim Kardashian was called out by her fans because yesterday
she allowed her daughter Northwest, to just turned twelve, to
step out in a corset and a mini skirt and
platform boots. So there's a picture of them going around
and Northwest is like towering over camp Is.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
I saw that photo yesterday. But Kim short, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
She's short, but like also, these platform boots are like
four inch platform boots. But most people on the internet
are upset because Northwest is wearing like a corset, like
a boostda that's like, you know, hugging her in and
pushing her boobs up, and she's twelve, so people are
mad about it.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
She does get to watch her dad parade around his
new wife Bianca or whoever her name is, and like
pretty much not clothes, so you can imagine that that
probably influences her life.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, people are just saying that Kim should preserve her
daughter's in a sense and be more mindful about her wardrobe.
But Kim's not mindful about her own wardrobe, So ain't surprised.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
I wouldn't be either if I had her body, maybe
either'd like look at this.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
It is seen the movie light Year. It came out
a couple of years ago. You know that there's a
scene with a lesbian couple. Well, uh Snoop Dogg is
not happy about it because he went on a long
rant on social media saying that he doesn't want his
grandson to see this.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
He said, we have to show this at this age,
they're gonna ask questions. I don't have the answer.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
And he doesn't think LGBTQ storyline should be in kids' movies.
I think that is the slightest of concerns LGBTQ is
so present and Snoop Dogg. You also used to hang
out with gang members, Buddy, like it's the last thing
kids should be worried about it.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
What's more uncomfortable is I took Carson to go see
what is it the prank guys Jackass, No, not Jackass, Yes,
im practical jokers. Carson loved Impractical. It was the filthiest
comedy show I'd ever seen. Carson was thirteen, and it
was absolutely I mean, I can't even remember the jokes,
(09:18):
but it was so filthy. That was way more concerning
than that.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
I feel like that would be a good conversation to
have on on air at some point, like what kind
of ruined it for you and your parents? Because I
had to watch I had to watch wedding crashers with
my dad and my uncle.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
I wanted to die the whole time. Yeah, it was first.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
One of the first scenes is I'm poking up yes
with a boops sunch of different girls and it's many
boobs and you.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Just see boobs, boobs, boobs, like flash frame.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
That's a good one. What uncomfortable moment did you have
watching TV to your parents? We've watched several where it's
like really sexual and Susan sitting on the couch giving
me a side eye, and Carson's looking over there, like
by the way, heart rate report, Bailey, Yeah, sixty to
one hundred. Resting rate is normal. You're fine, You're in
decent shape.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I mean I'm a shape. A weebel wobble is a shape.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
It is a shape. Yes, it is true.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
But they don't fall down day they are correct.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, so that is gonna do it for the dirt
brought you by six one two injured. Who's going to
the fair today?
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Vonus Fontavious Literally ten minutes and I'm out of here.
Are gonna go? Stop by minneapple Pie pork chop on
a stick. The taketos are delish. Come say hey, I
love it. A one at the katywb booth. Okay, go
check him out and we'll see you tomorrow here on katiewb.
Another thing to check out is I think a lot
of people know about it, but you might not. It
is the Minnesota Goodbye. And we talk about a lot
of fun things like our nicknames for our spouses and
(10:36):
things like that, and some inside jokes and a filthy
story about Susan and her parents filthy story.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Susan overheard something. You got to hear the story. It's
on the Minnesota Goodbye After the Show podcast every single day.
Just look on the iHeartRadio app for Minnesota Goodbye
