that everything the price of everything. The admission ticket has
gone up.

It's twenty bucks for admission, and I guess we'll find
out when we get there how much food has gone up,
you know, a beers or anything.

If you know anyone who's gotten the sneak peak of
food this year, because normally I feel like I see
so many foody people like already getting sneak peaks.

I haven't seen anything this year.

I don't know what I need to try that's new,
and I feel like normally they do that a couple
days leading up to the fair and I have not
seen it.

Yeah, I know, like when you walk in, you can
go up to like the information booth and then they
have the little like brochures that have all of the
new food and all of the new drinks. And I
like going through that and like circling everything like I'm
shopping for Christmas kind of. Yeah, that's one of my
favorite things, like that, going around and trying everything.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I don't know, maybe you just have to find out
for yourself to this one that the State Fair is. Like,
I've lived here section nineteen eighty three and it used
to be two dollars to get it. No, I totally
get that, and it seems outrageously expensive. But if you
really put a value on twenty bucks, it's it's a bargain.
It really is, because it is so if you love

the fair, you know what I'm talking about. If you don't,
if you're not a fair goer and you're like, there's
too many crowds and the parking is terrible, and there's
all fat foods, that's you know, and you're not going
to go, but I'm not going to talk you into it.
But twenty bucks is a bargain.

Honestly, if you if you are that person you're like,
I'll never go to the fair.

It's not my thing.

I feel like maybe some parts of the fair aren't
your thing and you just haven't found the parts that
are right for you.

Because there's something for everyone at the Minnesota State Fair.

Yeah, there is like the taxidermy fish. Maybe you've ever
seen the taxidermy fish. That is one giant sonny. Yeah,
I've never seen a sonny that big before the size
of it, it's a size of a dinner plate.

They got like beavers in there too.

There's a beaver in there's a beaver noyone want to
do climb that fire tower? I want to climb that

like up on Machinery Hillish area and everyone sings karaoke together.

We're talking about because you look at old photos of
you know when you used to be hot. You know
you're still hot. Jenny you're still hot, and Bailey you're
still hot. You're kind of hot, kind of hot, and
vont you're still hot. But you look at you get
older and you look at pictures of when you used
to be hot. And there's a picture of me four
that I posted on my Instagram. It's a bunch of
pictures for National Radio Day. And by the way, I
apologize right now, Bailey and vant you both got cut

I was about to make a joke about that. Yeah,
it's my favorite picture.

I seriously, I thought, you know, I looked for pictures
of all the different errors of the show, and I
couldn't find any of Corey Foley, and I couldn't find
any of Lena, and I couldn't find any of whatever.
But there's a picture of the four of us and
the Bailey and vont both got cut out, thanks Instagram.
But the very last picture that was I think probably
my hottest era.

The thing I don't like about that photo is it
looks like you've been shocked by some electricity in it.
Your hair is the wind out of control. Yeah, but
I actually really like the first photo. Yeah, kicked, because
I feel like I've seen a lot of your old photos.

But I just feel like it's like, wow, that was
young Dave's starting off in radio.

It was. It's so precious. I feel like, so I
like that one.

It's not that it's a bad picture, it's just a
shadow or something.

I don't know. That is like the most unique photo
I think I've seen of you. Where if I saw
that photo, I wouldn't immediately.

Be like, that's Dave. You look like you hang out
in comic book stores in this photo. Honestly, there's the
one after you and Lee, you and Oklahoma. Yes, yeah,
that's me as jud Frye and Oklahoma. Oh gosh, god,
I saw it.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
We're talking a bit because it was a national radio day,
so every radio DJ, including I think Jenny and Fallin
for sure, every DJ put a bunch of pictures of
their life in radio, because you know, we love what
we do. And so I dug back and I felt
the picture I was really looking forward was the one
on the seven eleven roof in Las Vegas, because that
is my favorite picture of me in radio because I

was just starting out. I had no idea what I
was doing. I had no idea how long it would last.
I was twenty two years old, and I loved it.
It was so magical and it still is. But I
just look at that kid, and I'm like, I don't
think I could do what that kid did, because that
kid was so creative and worked so hard and was
just had such an energy.

And me, I'm tired, you know, and I'm kind of
sleepy right now.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I think it's kind of nice too, to like look
back on like young, younger you and be like, wow,
I could never do that now, but like you.

Wow, That's that's a very good way to put it.
It's like I could never do what that kid did
now because it took so much energy, and I didn't
have kids back then, and I didn't have a partner
back then, so I had all the time in the
world to concentrate on the radio show. Anyway, Go check

other day, you guys were talking about production at concerts

and everything and how it's gotten so much better. And
I remember I went to corn when I was eighteen.
I'm forty two now, the same age as Lil Wayne,
and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
And remember, Wow, production was amazing. If you ever get
a chance, I thought a rap concert, I didn't think
it would be that good, but wow, it was absolutely incredible.
And Tiger came out first, and then it was a

not an arena tour make.

Think somebody convinced them they could sell arenas on the
chance that they might be able to the sun Carsons
in the concert business, and he says, one of the
hardest things is to figure out what size of arena
you should play, And artists always overestimate the size of
the arena they should play. So some artists they should
be playing in a two hundred c club. Some artists
should be playing a you know, at the stadium, and

so they usually and that's why artists will cancel or
change a venue from you know, Excel Energy Center to
the film more use they overestimate how people are gona.

well they went to e learning. It's in Indiana because

I think it's shocking to be like a person that

every like all twenty bus drivers like, hey, this one's

Yeah, it's busy. So something that I never thought I
would be saying.

But Jennifer Lopez is in talks of winning an Oscar.
There's Oscar buzz about a movie that she's going to
be playing playing in. It's called Kiss of the Spider Woman,
which it was originally a Broadway show that won seven
Tony Awards already. But now j Lo sings, dances, toils
and struts in this imagination of a jail window dresser

recalling the plot of Hollywood Musical. So the film gets
released on October tenth, and it was premiered at the
Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year, and apparently she
got a standing ovation from the crowd. And like, don't
get me wrong, I love a j Loo movie, but
like she's a rising com yeah type of girl, like
a very corny. So the thought, the fact that she's
up for an Oscar or there's Oscar buzz, I should say,

Speaking of Broadway, the Muppets are coming to Broadway Poop Poop.
They're going to be in a show with illusionist Raw Lake,
who I've not heard them, but apparently you know, people
love magic and Dave loves magic, and they're going to
be on the Broadway stage in October through January eighteenth
doing magic alongside of Rob Lake. Kermit the Frog is

I think the only thing that would make them want
to do it sooner rather than later is she is

geriatric pregnancy, which is kind of funny because you're still

a mother. I don't and that's not a slam at all.
She just does not seem like a baby would fit
into her world right now.

of their ends, Like it just would stop them being
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey.

I don't know.

It might be a good time, honestly, because she gets
pregnant during the football season, and then Travis finishes this season,
he retires because Travis Kelcey's getting kind of old for
a football player, honestly.

Oh yeah, so that's actually really old for most football players,
it really is. And then Taylor is taking a break
from touring at the moment, she's going to get all
the buzz from the new album coming out in what October.

get pregnant.
