Bruce is an old kay for sure, and he's a
little bit heavier, he's got a beard, and he likes whiskey.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah that's Bruce. Okay, gotcha?

Speaker 5 (00:49):
What if?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
What if I know a guy named Bryce? Now Bryce
is twenty four. Is Bryce a gay name?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Gosh, that's a hard one because I know a lot
of skinny twink Bryce's So I'm.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Gonna say this, callers, maybe the gen Z Brices are different.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 6 (01:06):
I don't know, but I think Bryce is young. Bryce
is okay, last question for you? A party with bears
or party with twinks? Which davevid?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I think David's about to have a gay awakening, and
that's what I'm here to talk about.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Let's just talk of it.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
So talk about gay awakenings and you take it away.
I don't even do.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I don't even know.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I'm not even here when Tony's on the show, because
he takes over everything and for it take it away.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
So it's Pride Month, everybody. We're really excited. It's a
fun time. It's an exciting time.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
We meet our gay friends.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
We got all their straight.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Friends of the nineties.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Half drinks.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
It's really fun. But it's recently for me it's been
remembering things from the past, okay, And I think remembering
things of the past would be for me is my
gay awakening. Now you're sitting there thinking what is a
gay awakening? What gay awakening? What it sounds like? It's
all of a sudden, I think.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I might be gay.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Okay, So that usually comes with some of the exciting things.
So I have a few stories and if I can, David,
Jenny and all y'all, can I have people call in
and tell us their gay stories?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Okay? Cool?

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Yes, cool, So give us a call right now. Tony's
gonna tell his story about six five, one, nine, eight nine,
Katie w b if you have a gay awakening story,
but I'm gonna hear yours first.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Okay, great, So I'm gonna start with my husband's. My
husband's gay awakening when he realized he was gay was
actually a very famous movie that we all know, Jurassic Park.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
What huh?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Right exactly?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
You're thinking, what what part? All?

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Right? So does everyone remember when the Jurassic Park t
Rex was chasing the van, right, remember that? Very fair? Yeah,
but Jeff Goldbloom was in the back with a shirt
open and breathing very heavy, and my husband said, that's
his gay awakening, Jeff Goldblum. Seeing Jeff Goldblum sweaty looking

(03:04):
in the camera, going it's coming right for us, that
was my husband's KAO.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
That's interesting because Jeff Goldbloom at the time was at
least forty five years old.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yes, my well, I am older than my husband and
he's still to this day thinks older men are attractive.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
So okay, they were gone thinking he was probably like
twelve years old when he got turned on by Jeff Goldbloom.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, yeah, probably that was the scenario.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
It does happen, Okay, No, So mine's a little different.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
So I have two gay awakenings that I feel like
I remember where I was different or something was just
you know, something was off. So I, you know, remembered
back in the nineties. Now, remember back in the nineties
we had those big Sears catalogs.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Oh, Dave knows he loves the catalog, right.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
But I was maybe a little bit different when I
was looking at that cat I used to take the
catalog at my grandma Sauce, go underneath her bed and
look at all the male models and kiss them. I
was just kissing all of them, and for some reason,
like I was like, I knew it was different. I

(04:07):
knew it wasn't like, you know, the norm. But I
realized that that moment I'm kissing these men, I'm like,
I think I may be different. So that was my
gay awakening. Also, I used to have a new Kids
on the Block doll. I don't remember which one, but
I always had a shirt.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Off kiss him.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I would kiss the doll have ebbed.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Oh you be believe it, honey, Oh yes, Sam Pack
for sure. Yeah. So that's my gay awakening. Gay people
realize at a certain point of the life they're gay
and it comes to it. I hope something fun and lighthearted,
and I'd love to hear what everybody's got to say.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
We do have someone on the phone, but Dave, we
should do the keyword first.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Gotta do the keyword because this is very important. It's
for Serena Carpenter and the flyaway to Nashville to see
her in concert, and he's got the airfare in the
hotel and you to go down and get to have
a drunken weekend walking around to the main street in
Nashville with one of those big yard long plastic things
a beer and go see Saberriena Carpenter. So the keyword
you get to say it into the talkback feature in
the iHeartRadio app. Jenny's got the keyword.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah, the keyword is please. So I got to do
is say please and the talkback feature and the iHeart app.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Like Dave just said, yep, to say the keyword is
please and you're good to go. Happens every thirty minutes
on KATIEWB. All right, let's find out about your gay awakening.
Six five, one, nine eight nine KDWB.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Sam is on the phone. Hi Sam, Hi there, Hi.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Sam, tell us this story of your gay awakening.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (05:30):
So I was like twelve or thirteen and I was
just watching TV and I see on the TV she
go from Kim Possible pops up.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeah, when it's a cartoon, it's ten times worse, but
like better.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I love this? What else?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Tell me more?

Speaker 4 (05:50):
What?

Speaker 2 (05:50):
What?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
What made that your gay awakening? What do you think?

Speaker 8 (05:54):
Probably just thinking, you know, I have had I had
thoughts before him, like oh maybe I'm gay?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Maybe yeah, you know, straight.

Speaker 8 (06:03):
But that kind of just confirmed it. I was like, well,
if I find she go attractive, there's probably other attractive
women in the world.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
So funny.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Thank you, that's unreal.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Oh that's a good one. Okay. We have Aaron on
the phone as well.

Speaker 7 (06:17):
Hi, eron, Hi, how's it going.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Hi, Aaron, tell me all about your gay awakening.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
Okay. So I'm also a nineties baby, yep, and in
third grade we were learning how to use Google image search,
and all of the boys thought they were super funny.
And we're looking up like girl in swimsuits.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Yeah, and I was like, move over.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
Watch this and I typed in boobs boobs, and I
thought I was so cool. I was like, oh, I've
got this, like I can one up you.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Well, that's so funny. You still remember that to that day,
Right to this day, you still remember your gay awakening.

Speaker 7 (06:56):
We'll always remember, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Did boobs actually show up or did they have safe
search on?

Speaker 7 (07:01):
Oh no, this was the nineties, like there was no
safe search. Yeah, two thousands, you know, there was no
safe search and I got in so much trouble.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
So funny though, wow, in third grade, because I guess
it can happen, like you know, like when you're like
a little kid, or when you're like fourteen years old
or whatever. Text messages here's one that said, we're talking
about gay awakening and Danny. This one says Danny Fannom
was my gay awakening middle school me watching Nickelodeon back
in the day. Do you guys know who Danny Phantom is?

Speaker 4 (07:34):
I feel like I should, but I don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
I'm ninety years old. I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Who this is?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Okay, that's okay, we have more people on the phone.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Dame so good.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Okay, Okay, Callissa. Is it Calissa? Yes, it is okay, Calissa.
Tell us about your gay awakening.

Speaker 7 (07:50):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
So I was like five years old.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I was watching Stark Tale for the first time, and
the and the.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
One fits that Angelina Doley played with Wola. I sat
there the first.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Time she ever came out and was so mesmerized.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
I do you remember this from five years old?

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I do.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
And because I sat there every time I watch it,
I go, Yep, that's what it was.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
So to this day, if you were to watch that show,
you'd be like, Yep, there's the moment, right, Yeah, that's
so funny.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
I've done that.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Actually, I got pretty high with some of my buddies.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Van I love it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I love you so much. Yeah, I love you too.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
You're awesome.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Let's see we have a pearl pearl. Yes, hi pearl, hh.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Hi pearl.

Speaker 3 (08:41):

know what was that moment?

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Go ahead.

Speaker 8 (08:47):
I'm in eighties kad and.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Ninetieseen so thirteen watching boy Me World to Panga. Yeah,
she was it for me?

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I love that. Was there a certain scene like what
was she doing? Do you remember a certain episode or
just her in general? Not so hot?

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Get it girl getting turned on now a man?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Did you say you liked.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Topaning the pangle was hot?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, because she went from like the nerdy girl in
the show to like just the love interest and she.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Just got hot out of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
I think I was getting hot and they need to
calm the kitty down right now.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Okay, So gosh, okay, we've got a couple more phones.

Speaker 2 (09:34):

the Anica.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yes, hi, hi, Honica, tell your gay wakening story.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
I'm loving that everybody. It's cartoon character. When I was
like seven or eight years old, I was watching him possible.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Uh huh.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
I was both equally attracted to she Goes the gosqueen
and Ron the nerd who hadn't maked.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yeah, I remember that.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
So you liked both. So was that a moment where
you were like, Okay, I think I'm by or were
you kind of like maybe I like one more than the.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Other, very equal, But it had to be a nerdy
white boy.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I love that. It's so funny. Well, thanks for calling it.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I love hearing that. Thanks so much. Yeah, bye, Dave.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
We've got one more here.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Let's do one more. Okay, this is fun.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
All right, this is Morgan on the phone. Hi Morgan, Hi.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Everybody, Hi, good morning, Morgan. Tell me your gay awakening.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
So I'm also a nineties kid.

Speaker 8 (10:37):

Speaker 5 (10:40):
My favorite movie of all time is the Prince of Egypt.

Speaker 2 (10:43):

Speaker 8 (10:44):
I've never seen it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
It's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
The music is fantastic, all star cast.

Speaker 8 (10:49):
But I didn't know if I was a kid, if
I was more attracted to Moses or Sapora.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
I'm parting the Red Sea and that turn you on
something I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, this is awesome.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
So she's so hot, get it girl?

Speaker 5 (11:08):
All right, I'm so voice by Val Kilmer like Batman.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Wait, so did you decide if you're attracted to one
more than the other?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
No, I'm bye. I was also my husband.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Found out I was fine before I did, so it's
always really funny.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
All right, how did your husband find out you were
bye before you did?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I just mentioned I was like wow, that girl caught
and he would be like, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Think so true.

Speaker 7 (11:37):
And then when I told him, he's like, yeah, I know.

He's like he already had a he had an inkling
like the ji is up sis.
