Helen Manson - Humanitarian Photographer

Helen Manson is a multi-award-winning humanitarian photographer and storyteller from New Zealand. Helen’s work has taken her around the world to some of the most challenging environments, documenting famine, refugee settlements, post-war environments, child sponsorship, micro-enterprise, trauma counseling and disaster zones. She’s travelled to more than 45 countries, including places like Iraq, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and India, documenting global humanitarian issues for charities and not-for-profit organisations all over the world. Her photos and stories have helped raise multi-millions of dollars for the charities she’s worked for. After living in Uganda for seven years, in 2020, they moved back to NZ, where she is now the Creative and Communications Lead for Tearfund as well as still photographing in the field. Outside of work, you’ll find her on amazing adventures with her husband and three kids.
