India and China say they want peace but blame each other for a clash in which soldiers of the two sides savagely fought each other with nail-studded clubs and stones on their Himalayan border.
Meanwhile, in China, state media has revealed draft national security law that gives Beijing sweeping powers over its enforcement in Hong Kong, paving the way for the biggest change to the city's way of life since it returned to Chinese rule in 1997.
