Speaker 1 (00:06):
You're listening to the Simon fun On It and James
Daniels Afternoons podcast from News talks'd.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Be hello, James K Simon, We're back and we're bad.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, you're bad. James has been away. Do you do
you mind sharing where you've gone? He's gone a well.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I went to Ballei for my son Jesse and Katrina's
wedding over in Bali. Yeah, was that nice? Bali is
really interesting, Let's put it that way. I've never been
very busy, very noisy, very pretty polluted, very cheap to
do things, to buy things.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I bet you bought one of those watchers did you?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Did you mean the tag Whoya that I've got on
my risk Yeah, I knew you would. I've got a
big fat fun on now twenty bugs twenty five for
a tag. Yeah yeah right, but it looks it looks good.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Didn't that it's as big as its whole first people,
it's ridiculous. Yeah, so that would classify excess baggage on
the plane.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Almost did you sort of made the plane leading to
the left. But yeah, the thing is that it's very
very popular. A lot of Australians there, a lot of
new Zealand is there at the moment, and a lot
of people from Europe actually as well. I noticed.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
And so your son got married, which well obviously was lovely,
and James and I've had a we chat about that.
Was it an expensive wedding, like what a Barley price?
No for a hotel.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
No, the wedding itself was very very cheap. And I
think they'll be okay with me saying this. It cost
them eighteen hundred dollars for this bougie bougie setup and
it had about four or five people running around and
that wasn't the reception, but that was the ceremony. The
flowers alone, the women that I showed or showed these

(01:48):
pictures in the office here and they said those flowers
would cost about six grand in New Zealand. So it's
very cheap. But you know the best thing about BALLEI well,
coming home. It is great when we get home. We
live in a great country that's really interesting and nice
to go to as a some time place, but to
live this is the best place in the world. Go

(02:08):
overseas and see what it's like.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Good on you.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, that's going to be back anyway.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
And you know, I kept at local folks because I
like to support our own country. So I went down south.
It was lovely and the kids all came down so
we had a really nice time. Acted a bit of snowboarding,
did you funny enough? I got my snowboard out and
I haven't done that for six years and I really
loved it. Although I went to with the children, went
to Coronet Peak and the grandchildren, which was so classic
watching the kids. Lovely little mealers too, and we rendered

(02:34):
her some skis and she's like her dad, no fear,
one speed fallout, nice and yeah, it was just great, So, yeah,
it was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
