There's excitement among Kiwi fans as Eden Park gears up for its biggest music event yet. 

Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres world tour is set to kick off tonight in Auckland, with the band playing three shows over the course of this week.

Eden Park CEO Nick Sautner says it should be a memorable night for concert-goers.

band on the planet show number one seven three tonight
and as you can imagine, we are pumped. I'm sure
if you ask the question tomorrow people will be saying
Cold Played, Edenpik will be there.

Yeah, yeah, I've heard that stat that Coldplayer the biggest
rock band in the world at the moment. People try
and push back on that, but if you actually start
looking into it, it actually it actually stacks up. What
can people expect for the gig tonight? What of the
band got planned?

It is an amazing show. It's fortunate enough prior to
sign the artist we went over and saw it in
Perth and the tours started in March twenty twenty two.
Our gates open at five o'clock externally. I've just been
walking externally at Eden Park. There are people purchasing merchandise.
They're killing to get on the GA floor. I just

encouraging people to get here early. There's three support artists
starting from five point thirty, a huge amount of food
and beverage on offer. We're just looking forward to another
memorable moment at our National Stadium.

Yeah, fantastic.

So Nick, you'll get to watch this concert three times
right tonight, Friday and Saturday.

Well, given the sky Full of Stars was my wedding
dance and my four year old Love's beautiful, my six
year old love Skyful of Stars, they've already created their
outfits come long later in the week. But I talk
about we've got a big responsibility here. We've got three
thousand staff working. We want people to come have a
safe and enjoyable experience and walk away memories that they'll

never forget. So yes, I am working tonight, but I
can assure you there will be a time when I
just reflect and I'm so proud of the team and
what they've been able to achieve when you look at
the artists that Eden Park has had since obtaining our
