Speaker 3 (00:31):
Good morning, Happy Saturday. Welcome to another edition of Invite
Health Radio. I'll be your host. My name is Jerry Hickey.
I'm a pharmacist who's always specialized in nutrition. We talk
about the best supplements you can take on this program. Now,
Invite Health happens to be superior manufacturer. They are indeed

(00:52):
a manufacturer. These are all their formulas. I designed the
lion's share of them. And they make sure that the
products are really clean and they're fresh. They're really fresh,
and that everything that's on the label is in the
product and nothing else, and that it's the correct dosage

(01:12):
of each ingredient. And they use ingredients used in human
clinical trials. So when you use an ingredient used in
human clinical trials that are published in medical journals. You
have evidence that they work in people. You know the benefits,
you know how much to give, what's the proper dosage,
and you know they're safe. So that's what INVENCH all about,

(01:34):
high quality supplements that are safe. But on this program
you get a big discount because not only do you
get fifty percent of suggested retail on two bottles. So
I'm going to be talking about two really important supplements
for people over fifty. I mean people younger than fifty
can take them too, but they become really important as
you grow older. One is for the heart and heart

(01:55):
energy and to protect the heart, and also for physical energy.
The other ones for the brain and brain energy and
turning the clock back on the brain and helping with memory.
So there are two really good supplements you'll get on
two bottles of either one, you get fifty percent of
suggested retail and if we ship it to you and
it's thirty five dollars or more, Invite pays the shipping.

(02:17):
But if you use the following code, you get an
extra ten percent off on any Invite product, even the
ones not on sale today. So the code to get
your ten percent, because I want you to get that
extra ten percent is Jerry. My name Jerry j E
r r y wor Jerry wr wors radio station. So

(02:38):
whether you go into the store to shop, or you
call on the phone, or you go on the internet
to the website Invite Health and you place an order
on the internet, type in Jerry wr because you want
that ten percent off. So we're going to start talking
about you bickwin Wall or you be queen Wall. It
could be pronounced either way. And it's the active version

(03:00):
of coenzine q ten, which is a very important detail.
Regular coq ten, the one you were taking before, is
not active until you change it, until you convert it
into ubiquin wal. We call that metabolizing. The body has
to change it from coq ten to ubiquen WLL otherwise

(03:21):
it doesn't give you energy, and it doesn't protect your heart,
and it doesn't improve your physical performance. So that's a
very important point. Now, who does it not convert in?
So who takes regular coq ten that's not getting much
out of it because the coq ten is not being
converted into ubiquin wal. All diabetics. Diabetics have a terrible
time converting coq ten into ubiquin all, So all diabetics

(03:44):
should be on ubiquin all. Lots of research on that. Secondly,
people who are aging, people over fifty, they start to
lose their ability to convert coq ten to ubiquen wal.
It's not a disaster yet, but when you hit your
sixties and seventies, you really should switch to u biq
one wall. And people on stanton drugs. Stanton drugs lower

(04:05):
you maunt of ubiquin all on your body. So the
cholesterol lowering drugs lower your ubique wall and that's not
good for the heart, and that's not good for your energy,
and that's not good for your muscles. So ubique all
is active collens on q ten. So I really feel
strongly that people over sixty should be taking ubiquin wall
and not regular coq tense. They're not going to get
a lot out of regular coqie ten. But ubiquino's also

(04:27):
absorbed much better than regular coenzyme Q ten. So let's
look at some of the data. I'm gonna skip the
studies on diabetics because it'll take a lot of explanation.
And I'm only doing the first half an hour this morning,
and that's an important point too. I do the first
half hour, then there's a break where they do the news.

(04:49):
W Oor does the news, and then doctor Amanda Williams
does the next hour. We rotate that, so next week
Amanda Williams will be doing the first half hour and
I'll be doing the full hour. So here's the journal,
Current Cardiological Reports, Current Cardiological Reports. You bick when all
I have to say it like this, even though you

(05:10):
don't like to bring this up. It protects you from
dying with anything from your heart, like if you had
a heart attack or heart failure, or rhythmus or something.
You bick when all helps keep you alive. There's a
lot of good data on that, a lot of human
clinical trials published in medical jobs. And one of the
ways it does it is it helps the heart beat stronger,
like a much younger heart. So it's taking a damaged

(05:33):
or a diseased heart and making it younger, and younger
hearts don't usually close heart attacks. It's older hearts that
close heart attacks. And there's quite a few studies where
when they gave older people people sixty seventy eighty even
ninety You back when wall I cut down on the
number of heart attacks and cut down on hospitalizations. Yeah,

(05:53):
it kept them out of hospital, and these people were
more lively. They were enjoying their life more. They had
the energy to go outside and be active and meet
their friends, et cetera. But another way that you bick
one all, besides making the heart stronger and younger, you
bick when all blocks inflammation in the heart and around
the heart. Inflammation in the heart can break things off

(06:17):
like little pieces of plaqu cholesterol plaque and close a
heart attack or stroke. But inflammation in the heart also
clogs the arteries in the heart. So not only does
the inflammation in the heart lead to a heart attack
or stroke, but it also clogs the arteries. So in
the journal Current Cardiological Reports, hey, you bick one all
helps prevent inflammation in your heart when you're older. That's

(06:40):
a very important point. I mean, that's a point that
keeps you alive. Here's the Journal Future Cardiology. Now I
only cherry picked some studies. I've got a vault of
these studies. I could go on all day talking about
these studies and really go into detail. But you don't
want that, And if you do want that, you should
do it on your own, because you know you spend

(07:00):
the time reading these studies. But I'm going to go
into a bunch of studies. I'm going to go into
enough studies. This is Future Cardiology. A great journal sixteen
human clinical trials ubique all reduced heart failure related deaths
by forty percent. Now, there's a lot of data shown.
This heart failure is when the heart gets damaged and

(07:21):
it kind of thickens and it's stiffens, and it's heart
for it to pump blood. And people with heart failure
many times they're fatigued and it's hard for than to breathe,
and they have all kinds and it's dangerous. It's really
dangerous heart failure. But just giving ubiquin all and you
can addit to all their medications, they're over they on medications.

(07:42):
When they add to ubiquin aal to all the other medications,
that further reduces mortality related to heart attacks and heart
failure by forty percent, additional above and beyond the drugs.
So that's care, I mean, that's care, that's getting good
medical care. There's a lot of data on ubiquen all

(08:03):
with people who've had a heart attack, how it keeps
them alive. How you give all the peopubiquen all, and
they have few heart attacks and strokes and heart failure,
and they have a lower risk of atro fibrillation and
different arrhythmias like that, with hearts racing up, beating at
a proper rate. All these things are dangerous. And there's

(08:24):
a lot of data on people who have Damnag's hearts
making their heart younger and keeping them out of a hospital,
preventing them from having a heart attack, and keeping them alive.
So I would say ubiquinal is a very very very
important study. But what about people who have healthy hearts,
Like my heart is very strong. I have a very

(08:46):
strong heart. Okay, I don't have any heart failure. I
don't have any heart attacks, I don't have a rhythmias,
I don't vitrol fibrillation. Now going to be seventy two
and several months. I do take ubiquinal. I've been taking
it for several years now. How many years ever since
it came out so it was first available, I don't know,
maybe ten years ago. I started taking it immediately because

(09:08):
I knew it was superior for my age group Compatrick
coq ten, so I switched immediately. By the way, we
have the only ubiquinoal made in America. It's the only
coq ten made in America. It's not made in China.
It's made here in America. It's made in Texas, and
it's been used in many human clinical studies in the

(09:30):
United States, such as in the Great State of Texas
and in Kansas and in Maryland, et cetera. It really shines,
it really has a health benefit. So here's me and you.
If you're really healthy, right, if you're older but healthy,
adding ubiquinal to a healthy lifestyle, you know, good food, mindfulness,

(09:53):
you know, exercise, being social, getting enough sleep significantly pushed
by on real aging of the body, real aging in
the heart. It just pushed back on it. It's it's
significantly reversed aging.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Now.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
This is according to doctor Denise Fernez. He's a molecular geneticist.
Guy's brilliant and he was in charge of the study.
Within three months, taking you bickwen Wall makes your body
four years younger within the first three months, and according
to some measures, you're a decade younger. A decade younger.

(10:34):
They look at things like you know, your gene caps
et cetera. They look at very advanced things. So that's
an important thing. Your bickwe wall levels drop naturally with age,
and that's not good because one of the things super
important for your heart is ubique wall. Plus, older people
are frequently on STATN drugs, and STATN drugs also lower

(10:57):
you bickwen all by like thirty percent. So you want
to be on the ubiquenal if you're older, or if
you have a statin that you're using the lower your cholesterol,
or if you have any kind of heart damage or
any kind of fatigue you want to use or diabetes,
you want to use ubiquinal. So in this study, simply
adding ubiquenal to a healthy lifestyle really reverse the aging process.

(11:21):
You were just biologically younger. You know, the calendar might
say you're seventy five, but you're really sixty. I mean
that's important, But what about energy? So that's one reason
why I want all the people to have ubiquinal. It's
great for their body energy, it's great for their muscle energy,
their physical performance, it's great for their heart's energy. Now

(11:44):
that's a big thing. The heart is beating over one
hundred thousand times a day, it has to push blood
up to your head and down to your toes. That's
a big job. So if it's major nutrient that allows
it to make energy out of calories, which is ubiquenol
is dropping pretty dramatically in your sixties and seventies. That's

(12:08):
going to put the heart under a lot of stress
and increase the risk of inflammation on the heart, which
leads to clogged arteries, which leads to strokes and heart attacks.
But also because the heart is under energized because it
doesn't have enough ubiquenoal, it could start weird beating patterns
that can read destrokes, heart attacks. So ubiq when all's

(12:29):
there's real reasons, real biological physiological reasons why ubiquenol is
protecting older people from heart attacks and improving their day
to day energy. So ubiquenol allows you to use food
calories for energy. So here's another study like that, these
are older people and they gave them exhausting tasks like

(12:53):
doing math tests, math exams, and if they gave them
you biquen all, if they took you bick one wall,
they didn't get fatigued during these exhausting trials and existing
test etc. This is from the Journal Nutrients. So here's
another one. These are people with chronic fatigue syndrome. People

(13:15):
with chronic fatigue symptoms. They had to fatigue long term.
They're just exhausted. And some of these people, if they
try to exercise, they get even more exhausted. Like a
person like me, if I exercise, it gives me energy.
But these people who are chronically fatigued, if they exercise,
they actually get more fatigued. And you know, they just
want to sit on the couch and watch stupid TV

(13:35):
shows all day. They don't have the energy to do
anything else. So here's the journal bio Factors. Two human
clinical trials patients with severe fatigue that's long lasting, and
these are randomized, double blind, place of controlled human clinical
trials in the state of the art, gold standard trials
that when they gave them you bick one wall, it

(13:57):
absolutely improved. They're fatigue. These people have been fatigued for months.
They're taking you bit when all all of a sudden
they have the energy to go outside and do something
and it's safe and it's good for their heart. So
here's me well, not really, because I don't have fatigue.
I have energy. But these are older people with mild fatigue.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Do I have that?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
No, I don't have that, But this is older people
with mind fatigue. I have a lot of friends would
tell me. You know, in my age group, they have
to take a nap every day. I mean I get
a typically five point thirty. I don't go to bed
untill eleven. I'm not fatigued healthy older people with moud fatigue.
It's the general nutrients. Two different studies, and both studies

(14:42):
you beck when all was getting rid of their sleepiness
and it was giving them a good improvement in their
general fatigue. They were getting their energy back. That's a
really important finding. That's so important. So if we just
very quickly review what ubique all does. You bick one

(15:04):
all is the active version of cons and Q ten.
It's absorbed like ten times better than COQ ten, So
you get a lot into your body and it's already
working for you, and it allows you to take food
calories and burn them as energy and you bick one
all levels drop with age, so taking regular coqu ten

(15:24):
doesn't help that much because all the people have trouble
changing the coke ten into you. Biq one will so
you really are better off with ubiquee and it kind
of brings back your energy, your wholesome core energy, your
muscle endurance, your bustle strength, and your heart. It makes
your heart younger. And when you make the heart younger,
the heart is less likely to suffer a heart attack

(15:46):
because it's not really younger hearts that have heart attacks.
It's older hearts that are under stress. And you biq
renal takes away a lot of distress that would otherwise
be on your heart, and you will get an improvement
in your energy. You'll work out better, you'll have more energy,
less fatigue, and your hard will be safer. You'll be
safer with ubique all. I mean, it's keeping us all

(16:08):
the people alive. Okay, we have the ubiq oninol that's
been used in human clinical trials. That's made in America.
So take advantage. Use the code and get an extra
ten percent off. So you're getting fifty percent off on
two bottles, fifty percent of suggests in retail, and you're

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Okay, Welcome back to Cherry Hicky for Invite Health. So
I'm going to finish up this half hour now. Then
Amanda Williams joined you for another hour, so I spoke
about you. Bickwinowol, which is really one of my top
five supplements. It's just amazing how it helps you with fatigue,
it helps you with physical performance, it helps you with energy,
and it really helps protect your heart, especially older people.

(17:57):
But a second favorite of mine, and I take both
of these everyday, is something called alcore with ala. Alcohol
with ala does for the brain what you bick one
all does for your heart and your muscles. So alcar
is helping reverse aging in your brain. There's a lot
of data on this. There's been studies showing that in
humans that alcohore and ALA levels drop the worse your memory.

(18:22):
So people with a little bit of memory loss where
they're a little bit forgetful or apps and minded, alcohol
has dropped a little bit. People with mild cognitive impairment,
which is a real loss of memory, alcohol has dropped
even more. And people with Alzheimer's they basically don't have alcore.
So here's the Journal Molecular Psychiatry. It's a very new

(18:43):
study a couple of months ago, and it says it
starts off I hate to talk about it but it's
important to address these because if alcohol with ALA helps
people with Alzheimer's, imagine what it could do for you
and me who do not have Alzheimer's. Most of us
will not develop Alzheimer's, but we develop memory loss and
brain fatigue and depression, and we also develop poor sleep habits.

(19:05):
So here's a weird thing, but it's true. It's not
a paradox. This is not paradoxical. As you increase alcore
and ALA levels in the brain, the brain works better
and more appropriately. And even though you have more memory,
a better memory function in the daytime and better mental
energy and your mood clicks up, you still sleep better

(19:25):
at night. So you're taking alcohol with ALA in the
morning and you have more energy in the brain all
day long, and it sees your fore to use your memory.
But yet when you go to bed at night, you
sleep better because the brain is working better. So this
is molecular psychiatry. Very recent study Alzheimer's disease is twice
as common in women, so they're using two study groups.

(19:46):
There's much less alcore in the brain of both men
and women with Alzheimer's disease. For instance, women with lower
levels of alcore and carnatine. What it creates in a brain,
the more severe their memory loss, and both study groups
and both studies. Lowered ALCAR is also connected with plaque

(20:08):
build up in the brain. It allows plaque to build
up and damaged nerve tissue in a brain. So lowered
alcohore this supplement, which you could take very safely. It's
not going to hurt you. Lowered ALCAR leads to brain tangles,
dead nerve tissue in a brain, death of brain cells
and memory cells, and increased risk of dementia. Now here's

(20:30):
what the research has concluded. But first let me tell
you who the researchers are. The Department of Psychiatry NYU, Rockefeller,
University of Manhattan, Duke University School of Medicine, the Institute
for Memory Impairment, University California, Irvine, and the Center for
Dementia Research up in Orangeburg, New York. So here's what

(20:50):
they concluded. That you can recommend alcar to patients with
early stages of dementia or with early cognitive dysfunction, or
in people with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. But
here's the good news. Alcohol is safe for all of us.

(21:11):
I've been taking it every day for years. It leads
to cognitive reserve, which is a really important thing to understand.
It's a very important concept. Alcohore gets into your brain
very easily. Your brain loves alcohol, and it creates all
these different things that make the brain work better and
help restore your memory and help your memory get sharper,

(21:33):
and help you pay attention and give you brain energy.
But also, click you moot up if you're depressed. A
click you moot up a couple of levels. And even
though you're getting more energy in the morning and all
day long for your brain, you're going to sleep better
at night because that's what the research shows. So I
said cognitive reserve. Cognitive reserve protects you from dementia and

(21:55):
severe memory loss. So what is it. You make new
memory cells when you exercise, like you take a walk,
or lift weights, or ride a bike or play pickle ball.
You make memory cells, and when you sleep at night
you make memory cells. To do this, you have to
release growth factors like brain derived neurotrophic factor and nerve
growth factor and they create new memory cells. But here's

(22:18):
the beauty of it. These new memory cells have not
been touched by Alzheimer's plaque. These new memory cells have
not been touched by depression. So not only does your
mood click up, but you have reserve tissue in your
brain that even if you have plaque in your brain.
This is what the research you're showing. If you have
plac in your brain, your brain goes on working. So

(22:38):
it's very important to exercise and eat green vitals. You know,
your green vegetables and all, because they're great for the brain,
and all your berries and things. But it's very important
and get enough sleep. It's very important to take a
supplement like alcore what ALA for your brain. Now, there's
a lot of studies on Alcoho for Alzheimer's patients and
they show that people would beginning and once again, if

(23:01):
you're listening to the show and you're getting what I'm saying,
you obviously don't have Alzheimer's. But they're funny that people
with mild to modern Alzheimer's, this stuff is so good
for the brain that these people do better. They function
better physically, they function better mentally. And the ALA same deal.
So what do they do? What is alcohol with ala?
They compliment each other. One is good for the brain.
The other is good for the brain. But when you

(23:22):
put them together, they're like ten times better for the
brain because they work in conjunction. ALA helps you create
energy out of calories and it also helps to cleanse
the brain and detoxify the brain, and it's an antioxidant
in the brain. Alcore allows you to burn the calories.
So the ALA, the alkhalo poke acid, mixes what calories

(23:44):
to create a source of energy called ATP and the
alcohol allows you to use that for energy. So it's
restoring energy in the brain. It's restoring metabolism of the brain.
And that's you know, diabetes of the body is failure
in metabolism. They call Alzheimer's type three diabetes. They're calling

(24:06):
it diabetes of the brain. There's no metabolism in the brain.
The brain can't use calories for energy, and it can't
use oxygen appropriately, and you can't use vitamins and minerals.
When you take the alkho it helps restore these things.
So if it can do that for people with mild
to moderate dementia, imagine what it could do for you
with a healthy brain. And this is true, you will

(24:27):
see your mood. Click up because the brain is Alcohol
with ala allow you to use calories for energy. They
restore metabolism in the brain. They help prevent the death
of brain cells and memory cells. They give energy to
your memory cells. They allow you to create new memory cells.
This is true. You could create new memory cells if

(24:48):
you have to write ingredients. Alcohol with ala allows you.
It helps you to create new memory cells, so that
even if there's problems in the brain, the brain goes
on working because you have this new tissue that's healthy,
young and vibrant. It allows you to make all these
door transmitters like dopamine to feel satisfied, serotonin to focus,

(25:09):
acetyl coline to remember. It allows you to make all
these things a glutenic acids for brain energy, GABA to
calm the brain down. It restores the ability of a
brain to make all these things. So you'll see more
energy in a brain and clearer thinking. You'll see more
energy for your memory. You'll see you won't see it,

(25:31):
but it'll be happening. You'll be making new memory cell
so your brain will go on working until late age,
late old age. You'll also find that you're sleeping better
at night because the brain is working properly so it knows,
hey it's dark out, you have to go to sleep,
and hey it's morning now you have to wake up.
So all those things start to get restored, and like

(25:54):
I said, your mood will click up many levels. Now
does alcohol with ALA have an effect on the body too? Yes,
they work in conjunction with you bick when all they
work in the same pathway. And what they find is
you'll gain strength with alcohol with ALA. If you're an
older person, you'll gain strength and you'll lose fat. It's

(26:16):
basically converting fat into muscle. So just by taking alcohol
with ALA, because the opposite occurs obviously as we grow older,
we lose muscle, we lose strength, we gain fat, We
don't look as good in our shorts and T shirt anymore.
You take the alcohol with ALA, it reverses that because
it's taking the fat and allowing muscles to burn it

(26:38):
for energy, and you'll get a restoration of about ten
pounds of strength and muscle. You'll look better in your
T shirt and the physically, you'll lose about ten pounds
of fat. So you're trading fat for muscle, which is like,
are you kidding me? This as fantastic. So they've proven
this in seventy year old people, they've proven it eighty

(27:00):
year old people, they've shown it in ninety year old people.
You get people alcohol with ALA. The brain is a tonic.
It gets a tonic, and it's good for the memory,
and it's good for sleep, and it's good for your mood.
You're happier, you're more fulfilled, your calmer. But physically you're
getting strength back and you're losing fat. So here's what's

(27:22):
on special this first half hour. Amanda Williams is on
for an hour, so she'll have other products on special.
You beick when all you beickwen all will get rid
of your fatigue to a great extent because it helps
you burn energy. And it's key to heart help and
heart strength, especially if people over sixty or people with

(27:43):
a damaged heart. Anybody with diabetes should be on it.
Anybody over sixty, anybody on a stat and all these
things lower your ubiqmenal. You beck when as the active
level active version of cook ten. So get on you
bikmenoal if you're older, and then alcohol with Ala your
brain health. Don't forget to use the code. If you

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Hello and welcome to Invite Health Radio.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
I am doctor Amanda Williams, Scientific director at Invite Health,
and today's show, I am going to be zeroing in
on the immune system. It is that time of year
where we should all be thinking about what we can
take each and every single day to allow our immune

(30:00):
defenses to start to build up. Because with the lingering
viruses that are out there in our environment, we always
want to make sure that we have that layer of
protection so that our immune system isn't running from behind.
That is never ideal. So I have many different formulations

(30:21):
on special today, including the beta immunity, the immunity HX
are probiotic immune, the green Tea TX, which is always
a perfect choice to use that liquid tincture during this
time of year, and I also have the nucleotide complex

(30:43):
on special today. Now the nucleotide complex, this is really
incredibly unique someone to talk about the science of those
nucleotides and get into the science of all of these
different formulations. But the question often is, if I'm using
one of these formulations, do I need to use a combination?

(31:08):
Do I need to take the probiotic immune along with
the nucleotides? Do I need to take the beta immunity
with the immunity HX. And the answer to that is
it really depends. It depends on your specific health concerns,
if you have underlying health issues, if you're on perhaps
different prescription medications that can create a weakened immune defense system.

(31:34):
So it's always wise to go in and speak with
one of our nutritionists so that they can help you
identify which of these formulations is most ideal for you
and how you should be using them, because remember what
we have on the label is the suggested use, but

(31:55):
it may vary from one person to the next. So
that's just a general guy. But you may talk to
one of our nutritionness and maybe you're already kind of
feeling a little under the weather, well, they may advise
to you to be using a higher amount of the
nucleotide complex as an example, along with a higher amount

(32:15):
of green TTX to really allow kind of a supercharging
of the immune defenses in that little window of opportunity
that we have. So it's always the best choice to
speak with one of the nutritional experts ahead of time
and have a plan. They oftentimes, you know, planning out

(32:38):
anything in our lives is you know, it leads to
greater successes. Same thing is said true when we're looking
at our immune system. So this is why we have
our nutritional experts who are available seven days a week,
and we get it. We understand that people are incredibly

(32:58):
busy and you may have a very hectic schedule and
you don't feel like you have time to reach out
to one of our nutritionness but they're there seven days
a week. So maybe you have a little opening on
a Sunday afternoon, give us a call and talk to
one of our nutritional experts if it's easier for you,
If you're one of those very scheduled folks and you

(33:21):
know that you're going to have a window of opportunity
on a Thursday morning, then go to our website and
sign up for a free nutrition consultation and one of
our nutritionists will give you a call at that time
on that specific day that you choose, so do tap

(33:41):
into that resource. It is free, and free is always
a wonderful thing. So let's start off with just kind
of the basic concepts of the immune system and why
we would want to be paying attention to immunity right now.

(34:02):
We know that the immune system is our body's natural
defense against any type of a harmful substance. One of
the things that we recognize is that as we grow older,
our immune system begins to kind of diminish or not

(34:22):
as strong, let's just say, as it is when we're
twenty years old as by the time we're seventy years old.
So these are things that we definitely know. So the
more we understand this natural occurrence of kind of a
weakening of the immune system, this gives us a better

(34:43):
ability to combat this and say, okay, well, if my
immune system is slightly compromised just because of the aging
process alone, what are the things that I can be
doing on a regular basis to help to encourage or
to strengthen up the immune defenses. And this is where
we turn to a formulation like the immunity HX, which

(35:07):
is a combination of vitamin C along with zinc and
vitamin D. Now, these are all very important when it
comes to our immune system. We also can see why
your microbiome is so incredibly important to your immune defenses,

(35:27):
why B vitamins are so important to the immune defenses.
But at the end of the day, we can look
at these three primary things. We can look at vitamin
C this powerful antioxidant. We can look at vitamin D
working as a hormone in the human body and it's
such an integral component to our immune system. We can

(35:51):
look at zinc and recognize that zinc is a powerful
mineral that is required not just for our ommmune defenses,
but for so many other functions in the body. So
taking the immunity HX on a regular basis is almost,
in a sense, like a micro multi vitamin just for

(36:14):
the immune system. Then we get all the side benefits
that go along with these nutrients. Someone, we're taking the
immunity HX containing that vitamin C. This is beneficial for
your eyes because we know that your retinal cells are
heavily dependent upon vitamin C. So getting this exposure to
vitamin C every day is not just great for the

(36:37):
immune system to fight off the common cold, but it's
also really good for your visual health. As an example,
it's also really great for the health of your skin.
We know that we have to have vitamin C for
the proper cross linking of collagen. So perhaps your diet
doesn't yield a high amount of vitamin C, which would

(36:58):
not be uncommon based on how most Americans eat, and
that standard American diet which is for the most part
fairly void of these key vitamins and minerals and antioxidants.
So we say, okay, well, i can take this immunity HX,
I'll take one a day. Get my vitamin C, which
is great for my skin, great for my eyes, wonderful

(37:21):
for my vascular system, and it's supporting my immune defenses.
It helps to regulate histamine. Perhaps you have seasonal allergies
that you are dealing with, Vitamin C helps to quench
those free radicals that can be driven up due to

(37:42):
an allergic response that's occurring in our system, driving up inflammation,
causing you to sneeze and to cough and have sinus congestion.
Because that's all driven because of histamine, elevated levels of histamine.
So we take our immunity HX to get that vitamin
C and then it also has the partnering up of zinc,

(38:04):
and we say, well, zinc must be pretty darn important.
And we know this, we know the point of why
the body has zinc. There was a study that just
came out showing that zinc has very powerful antimicrobial properties
to it. When you look at how many individuals succumb

(38:25):
to major bacterial infections in this country and if they
have low zinc status, then that's a big problem. In
the Applied and Environmental Microbiology Journal, they talk about this
that the addition of zinc to any nutritional routine can
reduce antimicrobial resistance. So let's just say you end up

(38:45):
with a sinus infection and you need to go to
your doctor and be put on an antibiotic to treat
that sinus infection. Well, if you have low zinc, then
this is an issue because we're already dealing with the
concern burns of you know, having resistance to different antibiotics,

(39:07):
and these bacteria that are saying, yeah, we've seen this
antibiotic before, we're not scared of that that's an issue,
but if we have adequate zinc in our system, this
is key to allowing that antibiotic to work more efficiently
and effectively. So these are all the things the facts

(39:30):
that we know. We know that zinc is key to
so many different functions in our body, including the manufacturing
of superoxide dismy tastes. This is very important antioxidant. Most
time people don't think about zinc playing a role with
your antioxidant defenses. We know it's critical when it comes

(39:54):
to our immune health and being able to recover from
any type of infection or illness injury. You're going in
to have a surgery, they're going to be doing an incision.
The body requires vitamin D, zinc and vitamin C in
order to properly heal. So you can see why the
immunity HX formulation. Taking this one tablet per day that

(40:17):
contains vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D why this helps
so much. We can see the clinical research studies conducted
with the utilization of zinc when it comes to reducing
the severity of the common cold and influenza and shortening

(40:42):
the actual duration of which someone is sick. We know
that having low levels of zinc is associated with many
different conditions, including infertility and anemia. We know that zinc
is key to our digestive health, to our bone health,

(41:04):
to our skin health. So taking the immunity HX allows
for us to get this exposure to zinc so that
during this time of year, it gives us that ability
to help fight off the common cold or influenza. Partnering
that up with that vitamin C, all of these things

(41:29):
can make an astronomical difference to an immune system that
we know, just through the aging process alone begins to weaken.
So this is why we have to at minimum make
sure that we're getting the exposure to these key nutrients,
these key immune nutrients every day. Now, if someone is

(41:51):
adhering strictly to a Mediterranean diet, this in and of
itself can be incredibly immune. Support it because you're getting
a wonderful exposure to those key immune nutrients. But unfortunately,
we recognize that only twelve percent of Americans are metabolically healthy.

(42:16):
With that small amount of Americans who are considered to
be healthy, then we can't fool ourselves. We can't say, well, yeah,
you know, I do go to fast food restaurants a
few times out of the week, or I eat a
lot of processed, boxed foods or frozen foods, and I
know that they're ultra processed, but it's just easier for me. Well,

(42:37):
first and foremost, we need to find better ways to
incorporate healthy foods into your routine, things that you'll stick with.
But we also have to be aware of the fact
that at minimum, at bare minimum, we need to cover
those gaps in our diet through taking a product such
as immunity HX. These wonderful key nutrients that give our

(43:05):
body the ability to fight off and fend off these
different harmful agents that are out there in the environment.
I would say, who wants to be sick? No, who
wants to even get just a mild cold. Nobody wants that.
So taking the immunity HX is a wonderful way to

(43:27):
kind of start that movement going forward. Now we can
also look at the probiotic immune because this is a
blend that also contains vitamin D and zinc. It is
a multi strain, powerful probiotic. We know the importance of
our microbiome when it comes to our immune defenses. Taking

(43:48):
a capsule of the probiotic immune each day not only
helps with the healthy colonization of those good, healthy bacteria
within the intestines, but you're also getting the exposure to
vitamin D and to zinc. So we have to understand
the immune system and understand how it's working. You know,

(44:09):
you have the innate immune system and you have the
adaptive immune systems. The innate immune system, we can look
at that as like our initial our immediate immune system response.
That's why we have skin, you know, that's why you
have mucous membranes. We look at our adaptive immune system
is like the delayed immune system. When we can build

(44:31):
up antibodies to a particular virus, to a particular bacteria.
This is all driven through our cells. So it's a
recognition like, oh, I've seen that before. So that's a
delayed But we don't want our innate, that immediate immune

(44:53):
system to already be behind. And this is why formulations
such as the probiotic immune can really go in and
help with those physical and chemical barriers of the immune system.
Allows our immune system to be at the ready with
the power of the zinc and that vitamin D. So

(45:15):
here's the big question. Can I use immunity HX along
with the probiotic immune. Yes you can. Should I take
them together at the same time. Perhaps it depends, once
again on your specific needs. It might be that you
take your probiotic immune in the morning and you take

(45:37):
your immunity HX with dinner, or vice versa. A lot
of these are things that you would talk with one
of our nutritional experts in regards to So I have
a lot to cover with you. I'm looking at the clock.
I do need to squeeze in a quick break, so

welcome back to Invite Health Radio. I am doctor Amanda Williams,

(47:03):
Scientific director here at Invite Hell talking about our immune
system and what we can be doing. So we have
these wonderful formulations. We have the probiotic Immune, which is
a multi strained probiotic partnered up with zinc and vitamin D.
We also have that immunity HX, which contains vitamin C,

(47:27):
vitamin D and zinc. All of these are important when
it comes to our immediate immune system response and we
shouldn't overlook that. We know vitamin D is an area
of concern for many Americans. We know that greater than

(47:50):
ninety percent of Americans have either insufficient or deficient vitamin
D levels. Well, that's not ideal, and part of this
is because of dietary exposure. We don't get enough vitamin
D coming in from our foods. Why because we know

(48:15):
that most folks are not eating nutrient dense foods on
a regular, daily, consistent basis. So we know that vitamin
D is essential to supporting our immune system, and if
we maintain healthy blood levels of vitamin D, then this

(48:39):
in and of itself can lead to this heightened ability
of the immune system to fight off colds, the common cold, influenza.
These are all things that we should be thinking about
at this time of year because I always say, you
don't want to wait until you feel like you're under

(49:00):
the weather before you say, oh, maybe I should be
taking some type of immune system supplement. You want to
be very proactive in this. We know we need to
have vitamin D. We know that when it comes to
viral respiratory illnesses. So when you're thinking about the common cold,

(49:24):
we know that flu season is right around the corner.
We know that in the colder months we have less
skin exposure because we're wearing clothes that cover the skin
because it's cold temperatures outside. So due to that, we

(49:46):
know we're not getting as much vitamin D coming from
the sun. And even in settings where you do get
a lot of sun exposure doesn't mean that that converts
into healthy vitamin D LAFE for you. There are many
different reasons why that is. There can be genetic reasons
as to how your body actually processes vitamin D making

(50:10):
it into its most active form. So there's genetic reasons,
and we also have to recognize that vitamin D is
an oil. So let's just say we get the sun
exposure and that vitamin D hits the surface of the skin, Well,
now it must absorb in and convert into its active form. Well,

(50:36):
there's a lot of things that can impede that we
can certainly look at. You know, if you go and
you take a shower, that can wash a lot of
that oil off of the surface of the skin before
it actually has the ability to make its way fully
into the bloodstream and be processed through the liver. So

(50:59):
these are things that we definitely know, which is why
going in and having your vitamin D level tested on
an annual basis is key. Send you know, Okay, yeah,
I definitely need to be taking immunity HX and because
my levels are so low, it's really quite wise that
I also take that probiotic immune so I get additional
vitamin D exposure. We know that vitamin D has a

(51:23):
lot of protective activities for us. We know that it
can actually interfere with the way different viruses replicate. This
is what viruses do. This is what makes them so
pesky as they get into our system and they find
a cell that they want to hang out in and
have a big old party, and that party results in

(51:44):
us having symptoms. So whether that symptom comes in the
form of aches, pains, headache, fever, this is all brought
on because of this pesky virus. We know that vitamin
D can actually in pair that virus to a point
where it has a very difficult time having that big

(52:05):
party in your cell. We know that vitamin D is
essential when it comes to the lining of our airways.
You look at someone who has asthma, for example, bronchitis COPD,
they are likely to have very low levels of vitamin D.

(52:29):
Once you start to drive those vitamin D levels back
to a healthy range, they get improvement across the board
when it comes to lung function and the respiratory airways
in general. In the setting of bacterial infections, we know
that vitamin D once again allows for this protective mechanism

(52:53):
for our cells. All of these are things that we know,
and of course people no vitamin D when it comes
to bone health. That's how most people correlate vitamin D.
But it's incredibly important for the way in which our
immune system is managing itself as we grow older and

(53:14):
regulating inflammation. If we have excess inflammation occurring in our system,
this is once again kind of that breakdown of the
natural physical barrier of the immediate immune system, which leaves
this door wide open to get infected with the common colder,

(53:36):
to get infected with influenza. So this is why we
turn to vitamin D because of its true critical importance
to our immune defenses. You know, there was a fascinating
study that just was published once again looking at the

(53:59):
core between serum levels of vitamin D and prostate health,
and this was in the Carsinogenesis journal, looking at the
vitamin D signaling pathways. And you may think what the
world is at, But vitamin D is technically a hormone,
so it has these It's a chemical messenger, and so
it has these signaling pathways where it's communicating with different

(54:22):
areas One of the things that we recognize is that
maintaining healthy vitamin D levels has been shown time and
time again in clinical research trials to play a protective
role in the health of so many different cells, but

(54:45):
in particular prostate cells. And the Harvard School of Public
Health they talk about this. They talk about how there's
different modifiable factors when you're looking at say prostate cancer,
and we can look at the diet. Is you know,
this general eating healthy foods. Do they have high antioxidant
foods in their diet? Are they getting a lot of

(55:05):
carotenoids for example? Are they eating foods that actually lower inflammation?
And the unfortunate thing is that the answers generally know
most people are eating a standard American diet which is
pro inflammatory and void of those key nutrients. But what
they could see was that in men who had prostate cancer,

(55:28):
that those who had higher vitamin D levels had less
progression of their cancer. So this is why the researchers
at Harvard are really looking at this and saying, you know,
are we overlooking something well in advance, something as simple

(55:50):
as vitamin D levels when it comes to having a
preventive agent against fighting cancers. And this is isn't limited
just to prostate health. And we see the same studies
that are conducted with vitamin D levels and breast tissue
and breast cancer. Vitamin D is critical. My point of

(56:13):
this is that please get your vitamin D level tested
if you know that your vitamin D level is low.
And this is kind of like you're sending flares out saying,
oh gosh, you know, hey, virus come on over here. Hey,
bad cell division, hang out over here. We don't want
to do that. We don't want to leave opportunities open

(56:36):
for bad things to happen. So hence immunity HX and
the probiotic immune and remember any of the products that

those special prices. So it's Amanda WR. Get that additional

(57:20):
ten percent off. Now Green Tea, this is something that
during this time of year, I find incredibly helpful. Our
green TTX is a powerful green tea extract, so has
a high amount of EGCG, which is the main catacan

(57:42):
or antioxidant that's derived from green tea. We know from
multiple clinical trials with green tea extract that it has
been shown to be a powerhouse when we're looking at
our immune system and how the body is actually reacting.

(58:07):
There was a fascinating study that was conducted many years
ago with green tea in a liquid form, and this
was a nursing home study, and I bring this study
up all the time, but that's because of the power
the evidence, the clinical evidence of this study. So in

(58:27):
individuals in a nursing home, there's obviously always a fear
during cold and flu season that one person gets it
and it's going to pass real quick, and you're already
dealing with immunocompromised individuals. So they say, well, what if
we have some of these residents of this nursing home
gargle with green tea and then let's see if that

(58:48):
green tea led to any immune defense support. And sure enough,
this is exactly what they found that those green tea catechins,
those antioxidants in the green tea actually had the innate
ability to coat the nasofarnex area. So thinking about the

(59:09):
back of the throat and through that action alone, that
allowed the immune system to increase its protective physical barrier.
That's an impressive, impressive study because remember we're already dealing
with immunosinescence. We're dealing with this breakdown of the immune

(59:30):
system as we get older, and we know that the
immediate immune system response those physical barriers, the mucous membranes
as an example, this is an area we should always
want to try to build up, and we can see
how green tea can actually do that can allow us

(59:52):
to achieve this. There was another fascinating study looking at
the effects of green on influenza and the common cold.
Now what's fascinating about this particular study, which was published
in the Molecule's Journal, is they looked at a multitude

(01:00:15):
of different clinical research trials that utilized green tea extract.
I want to tell you about what they found, but
I do need to squeeze in a quick break, so
stick around with me. I will be right back just

Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
And welcome back to Invite Health Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
I am doctor Amanda Williams talking about the study in
the Molecules Journal the effects of T cannikins on influenza
infection in the common cold. So they were looking at
epidemiological and clinical studies. They talk about influence in the
common cold being acute infections diseases of the respiratory tract.

(01:01:57):
Due to the fact that influenza infections in the common
cold spread easily, be your respiratory droplets contact, public prevention
measures such as hand washing are recommended. So they talked about, well,
what else can we do, and they said, since the
late nineteen nineties, several epidemiological studies have suggested that regular

(01:02:21):
consumption of green tea can decrease influenza. So we wanted
to actually see this. We want to know can green
tea actually protect us from the cold and the flu?
They said, catakins from green tea have been reported to

(01:02:46):
have these potential anti influenza properties. I said, it's the EGCG.
This epigallo catechin gaylight, the most abundant catechin found in
green tea, can actually minimize the infectous way in which
influenza goes into our system and makes us ill, which

(01:03:11):
is really very impressive. So they go through and they
look at all of these different studies and they said, okay, well,
let's look at a variety of different studies. Let's look
at randomized, double blind, placebo controlled trials, let's look at
observational study. The observational study was really very impressive. This
was in school age children and over two thousand kids

(01:03:35):
enrolled in this. But they had them drinking green tea
during cold and flu season and they were observing over time.
You know how many of these kids ended up getting sick. Well,
they didn't find that the kids were getting sick because
they were drinking the green tea, which is giving that
physical barrier. Now remember these are little kids, so they
already have better immune defenses than someone who's fifty sixty,

(01:03:59):
seventy eighty and beyond. But once they started taking that
green tea, because think about this little kids. You know,
one little kid gets sick, the next one gets sick,
just passes around like that. This is something that we know.

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
But then they said, well what if we give them, you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:14):
Know, green tea NOTT in a liquid form. What if
we give them the green tea in a capsule form? Well,
sure enough, they were finding the same effects. They were
finding that when they gave them green tea capsules, they
were also helping to fight off the cold and the flu.
So all of these different clinical trials, they said, all

(01:04:38):
these different reports on the prevention of influence in the
common cold are incredibly impressive. I mentioned the gurgling study
that was done at the nursing home. Well that wasn't
a limited study. There have been many of those gargling
of green tea studies that have been conducted, in particular

(01:04:59):
over in Japan. And they can see that because of
that practice, this common practice over in Japan gargling green tea.

Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
That they're.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
Respiratory viral infection rates are much lower than you find
in Europe and North America. And they said, what is it?
You know, what, why is it that in Japan, for example,
that there is less respiratory tract infections, less influenza, less colds.

(01:05:37):
So it's the green tea. So we know all of
these things. So if we're using the green TTX, this
wonderful liquid tincture that we offer, especially during this time
of year, and not that you have to gargle with it.
You can just you know, make your green tea with
this and you're just sipping on this because remember these
are very powerful caatechkins. So they're making their way in

(01:06:00):
to the system to help to provide that immune system
barrier that we're looking for. How do you use this product?
I always advise using two full droppers add that into
about four six ounces of water. If you want to
add it into eight ounces of.

Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
Water, that's fine.

Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
You're not going to wash away the effectiveness of the
catkins that EGCG. So we see this, We see all
of these studies. Very impressive to know that something from
nature has such a profound effect on our immune system

(01:06:48):
and the clinical effectiveness of green tea on influenza on
the common cold. Should be noted that this isn't just
doctor Amanda Williams Invite Health Radio talking about green TETX.
We're talking about decades of clinical research, observational studies, pilot studies, randomized,

(01:07:16):
double blind, placebo controlled trials showing how it is that
green tea.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
Can be.

Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
Nature's answer to fending off these very pesky pathogens that
are out there in our environment. So, hence green tea TX.
We want to be able to support the immune defenses
and this is an excellent way for us to achieve that. Now,

(01:07:56):
I also want to talk about our beta immunity formulation.
Now this is really unique. This is a partnering up
of a lgae extract with elderberry so elderberry fruit so
elderberry extract partnered with algae. The lgae extract that we're using,

(01:08:19):
this is actually a registered trademark algae called beta Via.

Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
Beta Via is a naturally.

Speaker 4 (01:08:26):
Sourced algae that has a high amount of naturally occurring
beta glue cans in it. Beta glue cans are a
powerhouse when it comes to their immuno modulatory properties, allowing
the immune system to get an upper hand at fighting
off pathogens. This is why when you look at something

(01:08:51):
like eating mushrooms, why are mushrooms so beneficial to the
immune system? If you look at MD Andersen, any of
these you know major cancer research institutes mushroom extracts. Why
because of the beta glue cans, because of the powerful

(01:09:11):
catakins that are contained in mushrooms. So beta via that
we're using is this natural lgae that has this high
abundance of beta glue can occurring in it, and this
has been studied in supporting the immune system gi health.

(01:09:32):
So for folks who are dealing with irritable bowel ulcar
of colitis, we can see how it helps the body
lesson inflammation. We know it's really important when it comes
to our respiratory tracks. So those beta glue cans once
again are working within that initial innate immediate immune system

(01:09:53):
response those physical barriers. But because it's coming from nature
once again, it has other properties to it, including very
powerful antioxidant properties so to fight off free radicals. The
clinical studies on this is so impressive. In a double blind,

(01:10:16):
placebo controlled trial utilizing the beta via that we have
in our product, the effectiveness in reducing the likelihood and
severity of upper respiratory tract infections compared to the placebo
group was significant, significant, you know, and they're looking at

(01:10:41):
individuals where okay, they got sick, how long were they sick,
what was the severity of their symptoms? I mean, really
very impressive. Now, what's also interesting is in doing all
these clinical trials, one of the side benefits they started
to notice with this beta via, this LG beta glue
camp was how well it was working within the gut microbiome. Number.

(01:11:06):
The microbiome is needed to keep us healthy, and if
we have an overrun of bad bacteria, this doesn't help
our situation. So they could see how this LG beta
glucan was working to support that gut barrier, allowing the
proper nutrients, the vitamin C, the zinx, vitamin D to

(01:11:30):
be able to enter in while at the same time
preventing harmful bacterias and viruses from entering in. So for
individuals who were dealing with irritable bowel or leaky gut
going into these initial studies, they started to get improvement

(01:11:50):
on their GI symptoms. So they said, well, beta via
has this very powerful ability to improve gut health because
what it's doing is it's kind of creating this fortress
within the intestines and it's working directly with our microbiome.

(01:12:13):
So that is a very impressive side benefit. And this
is in the beta Immunity formulation in the Journal of Nutrients,
they talk about this. They talk about how the beta
glucns that are contained from this LG extract, how this
works directly in our immune function. So they did a randomized,

(01:12:38):
double blind, placebo controlled trial and they wanted to see
if the beta via given to healthy adults, you know,
would this do anything when it came to protecting their
immune system and their overall health. And they found this

(01:13:00):
is exactly what it was doing. In the individuals who
were taking Betavia they didn't get sick, and the individuals
who were taking Placebo, they were coming down with the
common cold.

Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:13:15):
I mean I always say who wants to get the
common cold? You know? And they say seventy percent of
the population gets at least one cold a year. That's
a lot of folks. Why is it so high? Well,
the immune system and its natural deterioration as we grow older,
the lack of nutrients that come from a standard American diet,

(01:13:37):
it's another reason. So you can see why the common cold,
the virulence of those why they have this ability to
infect so many people. Because, like I said, that door
is wide open. We're leaving those physical barriers left with
no armor. So we don't want to do that when

(01:14:00):
we can take preventive, proactive steps right now and say, well,
I know what green t can do for me. Yeah,
I'm going to start using the green TTX. I understand
that this lgae beta glue can that's contained in the
beta immunity formulation partnered up nonetheless with elderberry extract, which

(01:14:20):
has been used for hundreds of years as a natural
way to support our immune system and fight off respiratory illnesses.
So I know I can do all these things. I
know I can take that probiotic immune to help my
microbiome to allow for better absorption of zinc.

Speaker 5 (01:14:39):
And vitamin D.

Speaker 4 (01:14:41):
I know I can take that immunity HX to get
that exposure to those key three nutrients vitamin C, zinc,
and vitamin D. So there's a lot of things that
we can be doing. We don't need to be looking
at this and saying, well, seventy percent of the general
population gets at least one cold a year. We can
cut those numbers down, but people have to be willing

(01:15:03):
to be proactive in this. Have to be proactive. So
I do want to talk a little bit about the
science on elderberry extract, but I do need to squeeze
in one more break, so stick around with me. I
will be right back just after this. Listening to this

Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
Radioconductor BANDA Williams talking about the beta immunity formulation that
has those beta glue cans in it, partnered up with
Elderberry Extracts. Let's get right to Elderberry because this is
so fascinating to me, and it's been traditionally used throughout
the globe, predominantly in Europe European countries, and they, you know,

(01:16:46):
classify it as an agent that they use to prevent
and treat respiratory illnesses. So they did a meta analysis,
so they populated all of these research trials that used
Elderberry extract in it to say, okay, well, is elderberry

(01:17:08):
this powerhouse that we keep hearing about. Now, keep in
mind to you know, before there was theraflu, before there
was any of these over the counter cold and cough medicines.
Before those existed, folks, elderberry existed on this earth. So
green tea existed on earth. This LG that's in the

(01:17:31):
beta via that existed before there a flu or any
of those other ones. So when people want to be
dismissive to natural substances such as Elderberry extract as being
oh that doesn't work, let's look at the science. Let's

(01:17:52):
understand the history here. So they pulled off these different
randomized trials on elderberry for the treatment or prevention of
viral respiratory illness, and they could see in each one
of those clinical trials that there was clear evidence that
Elderberry extract is effective when it comes to supporting the

(01:18:18):
immune defenses, that initial physical barrier keeping those cells protected
and at the same time helping to downregulate inflammation, which
is really important. So they say elderberry is a safe
option for treating viral respiratory illnesses. There's no evidence showing

(01:18:39):
that it's working to overstimulate the immune system. And that's
oftentimes you'll hear this from traditional doctors. Oh well, you're
not really sure about using some of those herbal things
because maybe it makes your immune system too strong. It's nonsensical.
But once again, elderberries existed and have been turned to

(01:19:04):
and used well before any of the things that you
find in the cold and flu aisle at your Walgreens
or CBS. So just keep that point in your head
when you're thinking about your immune system. You know, if
you come down with the common cold, if you have
the flu, what's the first thing that most people do.
They run off to Walgreens or CVS. I hit the

(01:19:26):
cold and flu aisle, I get their therapy, flu, they
get whatever. You're already sick, it's going to run its
course at that point in time. So yeah, you're trying
to do what you can symptomatically because you're miserable. But
what if you are proactive to not even get to
that point of being miserable. This is where all these
nutrients that I'm talking about today, this is where they

(01:19:48):
step in. This is where the beta immunity with that
elderberry and the algae extract can be helpful, where that
probiotic immune can help help where the immunity HX and
the green TTX can all be incredibly helpful. And then
finally we have our nucleotide complex. Now this I find

(01:20:09):
so incredibly fascinating because I am a fan of anything
that's microbiology, genetics. I find all this fascinating. But if
we look at like our cellular DNA makeup, what is
DNA deoxy ribot nucleic acid, So what our nucleotide complex

(01:20:32):
actually is, it's those nucleic acids. It's what allows a
cell to properly function. We can see that if we
supplement with these nucleic acids, they become powerhouses for our body.
In the Journal of Strength and Conditioning they looked at this,

(01:20:58):
This is close to ten years ago now. They said, well,
let's look at the effects of nucleotide supplementation on resistance
exercise stress in men and women. So this was a
double blind trial and they had these individuals do heavy

(01:21:18):
resistance exercise and then they were looking at stress markers.
They were looking at things like cortisol, looking at creating kinase,
and they said, we know that, you know, high resistance
training or high endurance activity can create you know, in

(01:21:39):
the short term, in an acute situation, creates muscle damage,
drives a lot of stress in the body, even though
exercise is good for us. But it were always weighing these,
you know, other problems that can occur, and they said
in the individuals who were taking nucleotides, they seemed to
be better protected against any type of muscle damage. They

(01:22:00):
can see the improvement on their HPA axis, which is
the hypothalmus pituitary adrenal axis. So we're a cortisol that
high stress, their immune system had the ability to balance back.
Now this is important because this is an area I
always bring up when people run marathons. Marathon runners are
incredibly prone to upper respiratory infections within forty eight hours

(01:22:24):
of running that marathon. Why because your immune system tanks
during that activity. So there's that wide open window where
that physical barrier has basically been just depleted. So they
find that nucleotide supplementation improves It allows the immune system
to build that barrier back up, We've seen studies the

(01:22:46):
Journal of Nutrition all the way back in the early
two thousands that nucleotide supplementation. This was a randomized, double blind,
placebo controlled trial and individuals who had irritable bowel syndrome
that when they started to take dietary nucleotides taking nucleotide complex,
that this can improve not only their symptoms, but when
they're looking at the markers for inflammation, the improvement on

(01:23:12):
the gut the microbiome just through taking nucleotides. So when
do we use the nucleotide complex that invite health, well,
first and foremost, if ever you feel like you really
are starting to come down with something, this is when
you want to use those nucleotide complex hands down. Yes,
you want to go through and use anywhere from six

(01:23:32):
to ten of those nucleotide complex capsules each day for
about three days. This really allows for that barrier to
build up real quick. So, say you get exposed to
the common cold, we want to build that barrier up
so it can't start to replicate and create further damage
for us. But on a regular basis, just for GI support,

(01:23:55):
for immune system support, to always have that nice protective
barrier can supplement with nucleotie complex one capsule a day.
Once again, this is one of those perfect products that
you really want to speak with one of our nutritional
