Speaker 3 (00:31):
Happy Saturday, Good morning everybody. Hello out there. This is
Jerry Hickey for Invite Health, and I'm starting a program Wolf.
Then I handed over to doctor Amanda Williams. Now, I
want to talk about a supplement that you could take
if you're really serious about protecting your brain from the
(00:52):
effects of aging. It's a crucial supplement that I take
every morning with my breakfast. It's called NAC and as
a Nancy as an apple, sea as in Charlie or
sea is in cat And what does it do Exactly?
It converts to something that protects your brain called glutathione. See,
(01:14):
it's very hard to get glutathione in your brain. You'd
have to enter your brain. So taking a supplement of
glutathione really doesn't affect the amount of glue tothion in
your brain because it's so poorly absorbed. It's broken down
pretty much by the digestive tract. So a simple, straightforward,
safe way to restore glutathione in your brain is by
(01:38):
taking this supplement, and I take one a day with
my breakfast. It's an incredibly safe supplement. It's an incredibly
safe product. It really becomes a must have as you
grow older. Glutathione is basically the mother of all antioxidants
in your body. Antioxidants protect you from the environment, from
(02:01):
side effects of your immune system, and from toxins and
foods and too much energy and all these different things
that burn your cells. So the antidote to these free
radicals is antioxidants, and the most important antioxidant, the key
antioxidant in your body that recycles all the other antioxidants
is glutathion. But you can't just take glutathion. You'd have
(02:23):
to take massive amounts and it's very expensive. So a
very economical, safe way that's sure fire is by taking
an ac So it does a lot of things in
the body that I'll quickly review before the first ad,
but let's talk about the brain. Glue to thion levels
(02:45):
protect the brain. You know, the brain is super high energy,
and a side effective energy is a leakage of some
molecules that can inflame and damage brain cells. So you
have this network of antioxidants in the brain. Because it's
such high energy, you have to protect it from the
flames that could be released from using up all the energy,
from burning all this energy from using oxygen. So you
(03:09):
have these antioxidants, but they serve you poorly. After the
age of sixty, they really decline in effectiveness, so you're
losing more brain cells every day at a more rapid pace.
So you take NAC and you reinstall the antioxidant network
(03:34):
defense system in your brain, so it's a major protector
in your brain. NAC and you do as glutathion levels.
So NAC changes into glutathione. You could take glutathion as
a supplement, it's very expensive and it doesn't work very well.
(03:55):
You have to take massive amounts. So one NAC, which
is what it's less expensive, works very effectively and efficiently
to convert in your body and to glue to thione
and restore its levels, even in your heart and your kidneys,
your liver, your muscles, your red blood cells, your white
blood cells, your lungs, your eyes. It works in all
these tissues. It works all over the mouth, all over
(04:16):
the body, even in your mouth, even in the mouth.
So as glue tothione levels decline in the brain due
to aging, you start to lose neurons because you can't
protect them. The defensive mechanisms in your brain are failing you.
They're not protecting you, and they're really gone by the
(04:36):
age of sixty five. So that's why you see a
lot of diseases creeping into people's brains in their sixties
and seventies because they can't defend their brain. You see
this in Parkinson's disease. In fact, NAC is a very
important supplement to give people with Parkinson's disease. You see
this after the damage that occurs during a stroke. There's
(04:57):
a lot of damage after a stroke due to a
dropping glue of th You need glutathione in the brain.
After a strokes, you take an AC but you know,
of course, discuss what you talk to. You see it
in dementias, especially Alzheimer's disease. There's a big drop in
gludethione in people with Alzheimer's disease. So if you want
to put the glutathion back into your brain, this supplement
(05:17):
NAC is a sure fireway to do it. Some of
the other effects in the brain. I mean, they've used
it in different conditions. They use it in people with
different types of addictions. It helps the therapy. It helps
you break the addiction cycle. For instance, if you were
using if you're a smoker and you can't quit, but
(05:38):
you want to quit, you have to have the desire
to quit, of course, because if you don't have the desire,
you're just going to keep on lighting up cigarettes. But
they give you a drug cult Chiantis. If you add
NAC to the chantis, it works much better. They've seen
it help people break heroin addiction, smoking addiction, even marijuana addiction.
(05:59):
Marijuana is rare, but it happens, believe it or not,
some people get addicted to marijuana. They've seen it in alcoholism.
One of the ways to help people quit drinking alcohol
and abusing alcohol is to give them NAC. And it's
a very safe thing and it's really good for you. Now,
other things that NAC is useful for. Well, oh, one
(06:21):
other thing, So I said, NAC creates gludethion, and gludethian
hust protect the brain from Alzheimer's other dementias, Parkinson's disease,
Huntington's disease, all these different horrible diseases we see with aging.
But the University of Florida in Gainesville recently did his
study and they were able to take them out of
glutethion in older people's brains, and they found that gludethion
(06:47):
hus protect the part of your brain involved with balance
and gait. So what is gate the way you walk like?
I have a very strong walk. I don't. I'm not
tipping over, I'm not walking awkwardly. All my strides are
pretty much even. You know, you see this on your watch,
on your I mean on your cell phone. You could
(07:08):
see it on your cell phone. You keep track of
how you walk. So some people, you know, their steps
are varying and they're not walking straight, et cetera. They're weak.
I mean, these people are more likely to develop fragility
syndrome and develop all kinds of diseases, fall or break
their hip, et cetera, hit their head so the University
of floridac Aineville correlated elevated glued to thion with better
(07:32):
gait in other words, the ability to walk properly and
better balance. So we know it's incredibly important for your brand,
it's important for your hearing, it's important for your eyeballs.
As glutathione levels drop in the eyes, you have a
higher risk a cataract of other diseases. So every morning,
because I'm going to be seventy one very soon, I
take an NAC with my breakfast. Now, who else can
(07:55):
get benefit from NAC well, as I said, people with addictions,
but also and some other brain conditions too that I'm
not going to go into it because they're highly specialized.
But NAC is remarkable for liver health. If you have
like fatty liver, or you've been taking things that can
(08:18):
damage your liver, NAC creates gluedethione and the liver. It's
the major protector in your liver. You need high levels
of glutethie plus glutathione creates these pathways that pull toxins
out of buddy, like heavy metals like lead and mercury,
and arsenic and nickel. All these things are pulled out
with glue to thion, So glued to thion really good.
(08:40):
Is a great way of detoxifying. Once again, you can't
really take glue tothion, so you take the NAC. NAC
creates the glue tothion and this is pulling toxins out
of your liver and out of your kidneys. But it's
also good for restoring liver health. So besides the brain,
the eyes, it's great for the liver, it's great for
(09:03):
your lungs. Many studies, glutathion has been shown to help
with bronchitis, Like if you have chronic bronchitis, you take
you take NAC all year round and NAC is converted
to glutathione and it reduces inflammation in the bronchi and
(09:23):
the lungs and it helps prevent the onset of bronchitis attacks.
Plus it breaks up phlegm and it helps breathing. It's
very important for the lungs. So anybody who has a
lung condition, NAC is fantastic for lung conditions. I mean
I give it to people all the time, a chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease. You know they're breathing disorders from things
(09:45):
like smoking, et cetera. NAC opens up the arteries to
the heart. So let's say you're going to do something
physically demanding, a marathon, running up a mounta, whatever the
heck it might be, whatever it is that's physically demanding.
If you take NAC and always take NAC with food,
(10:08):
you take the NAC before you do the physically demanding activity,
and it opens up the blood vessels leading to the heart,
and you get better blood supply to the heart because
you want to protect your heart when you're doing something
really physical. So besides helping the lungs and all sets
aging of the lungs, the excuse me, the effects of
aging in the lungs. With age, our lungs to the
(10:32):
lose strength. There's two supplements that help prevent that rest viatral.
We're not covering that one right now, but NAC. That
one's un sale. NAC is on sale. So it opens
up the ordinaries to the heart. It helps protect the
lungs and improve lung health. It's fantastic for hearing, it's
fantastic for protecting your eyes. It makes your brain feel better.
(10:52):
I mean, if you take NAC with your breakfast. Your
brain will absolutely feel better. But it's great for the
brain because it's reducing inflammation. That's probably why the brain
feels better, is creating glue to thione, the major protector
of the brain. And as you protect the brain, inflammatory
cells decline in activity and the brain just feels better.
(11:13):
It just feels good. I mean, it really does. It
gets rid of lead and mercury and other toxins in
the body like pesticides and herbicides and fungicides, et cetera.
But it's also important for your red blood cells. On
the outside of your red blood cells, you need these
powerful antioxidants vitamin C, vitamin E, and glue to thione.
(11:33):
So when you take NAC, you protect the red blood cells.
So if you have a red blood cell issue, talk
to your hematologists and say, hey, should I be on NAC.
But also your immune system. Your immune cells are loaded
with chemicals that kill cancer cells, that kill viruses, and
that kill bacteria and remove old damaged cells. So these
(11:55):
chemicals can damage your own immune cells. So the immune
cells are packed with things that are toxic to viruses. Right,
That's how you kill the flu in things like that.
If you don't have enough of these antioxidants, then the
immune cells don't function because their very own chemical arsenal,
their very own weaponry, is destroying them, and you have
(12:16):
a poorly functioning immune system. So what are these three
antioxidants in your immune cells the same as in your
red blood cells. Vitamin C, vitamin E, and glutathione. So
if you want to protect your immune cells, and this
time of year, you know there's respiratory synctial virus going around,
there's still some covid going around, there's cols, there's the fluid.
(12:37):
Is all these things going around is pneumonia. You want
your immune system functioning, you take the NAC, the body
converts it to glutathion. It gets into the lining of
the white blood cells and protects them from their own weapons,
the weapons they used to kill viruses and cancer cells
and bacteria, and then they work better. And they've shown
in a number of studies. They've shown a college students,
(13:00):
they've shown in very elderly people in their eighties that
when you give them NAC they have far fewer lung infections,
they have a big drop in the risk of pneumonia,
they have a big drop and risk of the flu
it really helps protect you from the flu because the
immune system works better. Doesn't mean you can't get the flu.
(13:21):
It just means the flu doesn't become dangerous. I mean,
that's what you're looking for, right, That's what an immunization is.
And immunization doesn't prevent you from getting the flu. And
immunization wakes up the immune system so it works better,
so the flu doesn't get dangerous. Do I get a
flu shot? No, But I take my NAC and I
take a couple I take a couple of other things
(13:41):
in the winter, like my immunity probiotic that helped my
immune system work better against infections now. So NAC is
a way of reinstalling your basic antioxidant protective mechanisms. And
unlike vitamin C or vitamin E, vitamin E lasts for
(14:04):
a day, Vitamin C works for about six hours. Glued
to thion works for several days. So when you take
NAC and you're producing glued tothion, you get a lot
of around the clock protection. Once again for your brain,
very important. As you get older, glutathion levels drop, you
need glutethine in those places that are getting damaged by
increasing inflammation. As you grow older, this happens in your brain.
(14:26):
To all of us. NAC converts to glutethine in your
brain and protects your brain from the effects of aging.
It protects your eyes, especially in the crystallin lens in front.
It protects your hearing apparatus. It opens up the blood
vessels to your heart. If you're doing something really physical,
like you know you're not in great shape and you
go to a wedding and you have to dance, Well,
(14:47):
take some NAC open up that blood vessel before you
go to that wedding. NAC detoxifies the liver, detoxifies the kidneys.
It's great for protecting the lungs and aging, or if
you have a lung disease like like emphysema, asthma, chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, whatever it is. And it
also is great fore your immune system in the winter,
(15:10):
or protecting your red blood cell. So it really does
because it works all over the body. It works at
every single cell in the body. It really does. Okay,
let's go to a break. First break, here's the deal. Though,
you get what the products I'm talking about on this program,
You get fifty percent off on two bottles. Okay, so
nac today and more than likely tomorrow, you get fifty

percent off on two bottles, which is great because you
only need it one a day, so two bottles will
lit you like four months. Now here's the thing. If
you use a certain code, they give you an extra
ten percent off. In fact, you get ten percent off
any Invite product, even the products not on sell. And
here's the code. So and this code you could use

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Okay, Jerry Hickey here for Invite Health. This is the
second segment of this. Elevated cholesterol has been connected with
heart disease for years, and it makes sense. There's a
part of cholesterol called LDL that is easily damaged, and
when it's damaged, it becomes sticky. I'm simplifying this, of course,
(17:41):
I'm really simplifying this conversation, and it sticks on to
the lining of the blood vessels and it stiffens them
and it clogs them up. Now in the heart, this
is serious. There's an artery in the heart called the
window maker, because if it gets clogged, we're talking really dangerous.
So the arteries of the heart are not as big
(18:03):
as the arteries and your arms and legs, et cetera.
They're more like sippy straws that you get like a
kid's apple juice container. So if they get clogged, it's
really dangerous. So the elevated cholesterol, the LDL portion, gets
easily damaged by pollution or cigarette smoke or bad foods,
et cetera, and it gets sticky and it's clinging onto
(18:24):
the blood vessel walls, and you're building up this plaque.
This is the simple conversation we're having. So normally they
give people stating drugs to lower the cholesterol. That is
thousands of studies on stems. But there's also a huge
amount of studies on this next supplement that very safely
(18:45):
and absolutely one hundred percent lower cholesterol. There's no two
ways about it. It lowers cholesterol. It's called sterols. It
comes from a plant plant steroils it's actually plant sterols
and stand walls, and they fight with cholesterol your intestines
and prevents it from being absorbed, and your cholesterol levels
drop twenty to thirty points within weeks. I mean, I've
(19:07):
seen the cholesterol rebels really drop significantly. Now here's the
other thing. Not only is cholesterol connected with narrowed arteries
in the heart, which by the way, is the biggest
killer on planet Earth because it leads to strokes, heart attacks,
heart seizures, sudden cardiac death, and other problems with the
(19:29):
heart arrhythmius. So stroke and heart attack, that's all you
need to know. It lowers that cholesterol, but also elevated
cholesterol and inability to process cholesterol properly people with certain
genes is repeatedly connected with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Now,
(19:51):
clogged arteries in the heart is obviously bad for the
brain because the brain is getting less blood because the
heart becomes less efficient at pumping blood. But while the
arteries and the heart are getting clogged, so are the
arteries in your neck. So the same mechanism that clogs
the arteries in your heart are clogging the arteries in
your neck. And the brain is receiving less blood, so
(20:12):
it's receiving less oxygen, less nutrition. Brain cells get damaged.
Brain cells start to disippay, they start to die, and
eventually this reach is a tipping point where it really
affects you being new with it, it really affects your cognitive function.
It really affects your memory, and you could go into
different dimensions, especially Alzheimer's disease. Sterols from plants. It's from plants,
(20:37):
it's not from animals. Sterols absolutely effectively and safely lower
your bad cholesterol and your total cholesterol. It's safe to
take a loan. Now I don't have to take it.
My cholesterol is very low. I had this gift where
my cholesterol is like my whole life, it's been under
(20:59):
con I mean, my mother is ninety four, she's physically active,
her brain functions, she's cooking, she's cracking jokes, she's going
out with her friends, will play bingo and cards. She's
gone out to brunch. Last time I saw my mother,
we went to a micro brewery. She wanted to have
a beer with me ninety four years old. So I
(21:22):
know that that's in the family. And one of the
reasons why longevity's in the family is because we handle
cholesterol very properly. But most people don't. Most people don't
have my gift of my heart and my cholesterol. My
heart is brilliantly functioning. My heart is I've got like
a much of I've got like a heart of a
forty year old. So but most people can't do that.
(21:46):
So it's safe to take stair rolls alone. And it's
safe to take stair rolls with your statin drug. How
do you take it? You take it right before a meal. Now,
you can still take it during the meal or after
the meal, but the best benefit is right before a meal.
And sterols kind of act like a teflon coating and
(22:07):
they block the absorption of cholesterol. Here's the thing. You
still absorb all the other stuff. You're still absorbing viitamin
D and fish oils and all the good fats. You're
not absorbing the cholesterol. So it's a win win win.
So you could stay safely, take the sterol capsule right
before meals, take it before each meal, and you could
(22:27):
take it alone. Some people can't take statons. They get
they get a lot of fatigue and muscle cramps from statins.
Some people just can't handle statons. You could take the
steros alone, or if you're already on a statin and
you don't want to raise the dosage to the statin
because it's not doing a good enough job, add the
steros to the statin because they work differently. The statin's
(22:48):
work in the liver. The sterols work with your food,
so you get a really big bang out of using
sterols with your statin. It'll really lower your cholesterol dramatically.
So if you're on a staaten and you're doing okay,
but you're nervous about raising the dose into the statin,
but the doctor feels you need to lower your clusterol
even more, like maybe you're diabetic or really overweight or something,
(23:10):
or you have heart disease or high blood pressure, so
that the doctor really wants to lower your cholesterol and
the sterols. Tell them, doctor, I'm going to try Jerry
Hicky sterols. Invite sterols. Let's lower that cholesterol and it
might be good enough. The doctor goes, hey, this is fantastic.
Everybody agrees that sterols work. Even the Food and Drug
Administration of the United States agrees that sterols lower your cholesterol.
(23:30):
There's no two ways about it. So you could see
a cholesterol in the badcholesterol the LDL within the first
two to four weeks. It could drop thirty points within
the first two to four weeks. Now, if you need
something a little stronger, we have a sterols powder that
you would use before each meal. You take a scoop
in any kind of liquid. It doesn't metal well, liquid
(23:51):
right before each meal. It's got four different things. And
that the sterols plus powder to lower cholesterol has four things.
It has cranberry, the reddish stuff in cranberry. That's a
strong protector of your blood vessels. Cranberries are powerful protecting
your blood vessels. Now I'm not talking about cranberry juice
(24:14):
because they ate a lot of sugar to that. We
don't add any sugar to the cranberry in the powder.
Then there's red yeast rice, which works like a statin.
They got the original statin from red yeast rice. They
isolated the ingredients in a registrice called monocolins. That's where
they got the idea for statins. So red yest rice
is like a low potency statin. Then there's the stair
(24:37):
walls that block the absorption of cholesterol from your food.
And then there's the oat brand beta glue can that
takes the cholesterol ouity of blood. It's a fiber that
takes the cholesterolity of blood. So the powder is working
in four distinct ways and that's why it's more powerful.
And you could see your bed cholesterol drop fifty sixty
points with the powder. I mean it's real. The effects
(24:58):
are real. As we get from our clients were amazing
what they're getting in their blood tests. So there's four
things in the powder. Again, there's the oats that take
the cholesterol out of your blood. There's the sterols that
block the absorption of the cholesterol from your food. That's
why you take it right before a meal. There's the
Reggi striiss that works in the liver like a low
polsy statin. And then there's the cranberry that acts as
(25:22):
kind of like a teflon shield for protecting your blood vessels.
It's an antioxidant to protect your blood vessels from inflammation
and decline. So that's what's on special. Now I'm going
to add something because I did mention res verchwel before. Okay,
So the sterolls capsule an easy way to lower your
bed cholesterol. You take it right before meals, one capsule
(25:43):
right before each meal or if you need something stronger,
and the sterols plus HX powder. There's four different things
in it'll lower your cholesterol, protect your blood vessels. And
then the NAC. And I said, the NAC is good
for your lungs and good for your brain, and I
mentioned res Viritual along with it, So I'm gonna add
our res Virtual products. I'm gonna add our rest Virtual
(26:06):
products because rest Virtual has been shown to help shield
the lungs from somebody's cigarette smoke, like secondhand cigarette smoke,
and from pollution from cars. If you live in an
area with pollution from cars, take the rest Virtual with
the NAC to protect your lungs. But the rest Virtual
is also great for the brain. I don't have a
lot of time, so I'm gonna do this real quick.
Rest Virtual protects blood flow to the brain and restores
(26:27):
blood flow to the brain, and rest virtual kind of
shields the brain from toxins going into it. Where NAC
restores antioxy protection from the brain and removes toxins from
the brain, things like lead and mercury, removes them from
the brain. So that's a really good combination. Now, So
res virtual with age, your blood vessels in your neck thicken.
(26:52):
That's why I said the sterols the lower your cholesterol, right,
but the blood vessels in your neck thicken. Res virtual
opens them up again. It makes them supplet alete stick again.
So the blood flow is restored to your brain because
you need all that blood in your brain. So if
you've got a little bit of blockage, a little bit
of clogging, rest virtual helps restore circulation to your brain
and your heart along with the NAC. They work great together.
(27:15):
And there's a kind of moat around the brain cells
around the brain called the blood brain barrier gets leaky
with age and bad things get into the brain. Rest
virtual restores the blood brain barrier. So you could take
rest virtual with NAC for brain health. And they're both
(27:35):
remarkable for lung health because rest virtual restores the health
of the lungs, the strength of the lungs, and the
NAC restores the elasticity the lungs and protects the lungs
from the effects of aging and from soot and things
that you inhale. So that's a really good combination. Now,
as far as the blood vessel walls. The sterols lowers
your cholesterol, and the rest virtual restores elasticity to the
(27:59):
blood vessel walls. That's why it's good for the brain.
It restores circulations of the brain right, so it restores
elasticity to blood vessel woll. So taking the rest vitual
with the NAC is good for the brain and lungs,
and taking a rest vitrol with the stairwalls is good
for the blood vessels and lowering cholesterol. So either one
(28:20):
of those is great. So here's what's not special. Our
res fviertul products, our NAC and our steraalls which very
effectively in safety lower you cholesterol. I'm out of here.

Hello, and welcome to Invite Health Radio.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
I am doctor amand.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Of Williams, Director of Science at Invite Health, and happy
cold chili Saturday morning to everyone. Just heard that weather
at the top of the hour. I know that you
just had the joy of listening to Jerry Hickey in
the first half hour of invite Health Radio, and now
(30:20):
I have many things to cover with.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
You as well.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
And speaking of the weather, goodness gracious, it's not just
cold there in New York.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
It is cold in South Florida. Woke up this.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Morning it was forty eight degrees.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
So that will be uh one of those ones for
the record books, I think down here, because we're not
used to getting, you know, these these cold fronts.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
But nonetheless I shall survive that I do know.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
But when it gets cold, oh goodness gracious. And then
down here you always have the concerns with the iguanas
falling out of the trees. And my little kitty cat,
she never wants to go outside when it's cold, so
she's definitely a Florida cat. But on today's show, I
have many different products that I want to highlight for you.
(31:12):
I know that you just had the opportunity to listen
to Jerry talk about some of our wonderful formulations, including
rezveritrol and AC some ster alls I do believe he.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
Chatted with you about.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
So I'm gonna get into to all of our different
heart based products with you today. And I shouldn't say all,
because we have an incredibly comprehensive line of products, but
we have many products that are definitely geared towards supporting
healthy heart, health and circulation. So we'll get to all
(31:45):
of those in just a moment. I do want to
mention that we have this special promo going on for
all of our wo R listeners, and that is that
any of the products that Jerry talked about or that
I discuss on this hour are all on a buy one,
get one free, but you can get an additional ten
(32:09):
percent off if you use the promo codes. So the
promo code for this hour is Amanda WOAR. So when
you call in, or if you go to our website,
or if you stop by one of our stores and
you use that promo code Amanda WR, you're gonna get
an additional ten percent off. So that is wonderful savings
(32:32):
and I definitely encourage you to take advantage of that.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
So let's start off.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
With talking about some new things that are in the news,
because I always like to keep you up to speed
with what's happening in the world of nutrition. So here
is a very interesting study that came out of Ireland,
the University College Cork, and if you've tuned in and
(32:58):
listened to myself to Jerry in the past.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
You know that we are very.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
Big advocates of the Mediterranean style way of eating, and
anytime we can have a diet that is anti inflammatory,
that's going to be quite beneficial for all systems in
the body.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
So when we think about the way that we.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
Age and a healthy brain, healthy brain connectivity, heart health,
blood sugar regulation, we certainly see that the Mediterranean diet
is the diet of choice. This is what we want
to be doing each and every single day. What we
also know is that when we compare the Mediterranean diet
(33:41):
to other, say trendy diets that are out there, the
Mediterranean diet hands down always comes out as the leader
and the best. So the science behind it definitely very strong.
We do always have to realize that when it comes
to a standard American diet, it's difficult for people to
(34:05):
kind of trend away from that because it's so easy,
it's so accessible. However, we know that it's detrimental to
our health and the long term and researchers over there
in Ireland we're looking at the eating habits of non
industrialized societies and they said, you know what's interesting is
(34:28):
if people kind of follow this way of eating just
kind of the fruits and the vegetables and seeds and nuts,
their health is so much better than in industrialized countries
where you're dealing with all of these different chronic disease
states obesity, diabetes, heart disease. And so we have to
(34:48):
recognize that the evidence is out there. It's clear we
know that a pro inflammatory diet also known as a
standard American diet, with all of those ultra processes foods,
can lead to significant problems when it comes to our
overall health. And so they did this analysis which I
thought was quite interesting, where they really looked at the
(35:12):
impact and the influence of having, you know, higher fiber
in your diet coming from fruits and vegetables and eating
things like seeds and nuts, how beneficial that actually is
to the microbiome, and through that interaction of really feeding
the microbiome, that bacterial environment and the gut, how much
(35:32):
of a difference that makes to one's overall health. And
one of the key areas of research oftentimes is looking
at Papa New Guinea. And this isn't the first time
that they've analyzed this area, but they recognize that those
who live in Papa New Guinea and these very remote areas,
(35:56):
and then they look at their microbial environment and then
they compare that to someone who says living in Dublin,
and they say, wow, the shift in bacteria. The folks
who are in Papua New Guinea have these really healthy
bacteria that are residing within their gut compared to those
who are in these, you know, highly industrialized countries. And
(36:19):
through this microbial research it's actually called NIME, this the
Non Industrialized Microbiome Restore Research Program, and they were able
to really zero down that it is the foods. The
foods is what makes the difference. And it kind of
(36:40):
goes back to Hippocrates. You know, let food be thy medicine.
There's a reason why that should resonate with all of us.
And I always use myself as that first primary example,
because many many years ago, I used to tell myself, Oh,
I eat healthy, and I I mean technically compare to
(37:01):
know many Americans.
Speaker 5 (37:02):
I suppose I did.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
However, my dietary intake of very nutrient rich foods was
still significantly lacking, and I probably was still taking in
too many ultra process foods. So when I did my
complete shift over to adhering to a Mediterranean style way
(37:28):
of eating. I could see the difference across the board
from how my energy levels were first and foremost, that's
the main thing that I noticed, but just everything just
seemed to.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
Work better for me.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
So we do know that your foods do make a
powerful impact on how our body is functioning each and
every single day. So the moral to the story here, folks,
is if you are listening and you say, you know
what I do think I probably eat too many ultra
(38:04):
processed foods.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
I know that they're not the best for me.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
I do want to make a change, But how do
I go about doing this?
Speaker 5 (38:11):
Is this going to be difficult?
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Please talk to one of our nutritional experts. It's a
free service that we offer and they are incredibly well
versed on taking a personalized approach to your wellness routine.
Invite Health is so much more than just vitamins. We
(38:34):
have a team of nutritional experts who are there to
help guide you through this what can be overwhelming process
of achieving wellness. Because remember we're trying to achieve wellness,
we're trying to avoid illness, and through the support of
our nutritional team, of experts you will find that they
(38:58):
can make this.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
Very achievable for you.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
We're all different, we're all unique in our own way,
and what works for one person may not work for
someone else, which is why we have our team of
nutritionnis who understand that and understand. If they're working with
you on designing a meal plan. For example, we need
to identify your likes and your dislikes. We need to
(39:25):
identify do you have any particular type of chronic disease
that you are dealing with, and if so, you know
are you on a medication, what nutrients do We need
to make sure that we're including to cover any potential
nutritional deficiencies. So our nutritional staff is available seven days
(39:45):
a week and you can meet with them in store.
If you can't stop by one of our stores, you
can certainly give us a call and we're happy to
patch you through. Or you can go to our website
invitehelp dot com and you pick a day in time
that works good for your busy schedule and one of
our nutritional experts will give you a call. So we've
(40:07):
made it very very easy for you to achieve your
wellness goals. So just to recap on that interesting study
on eating healthy and folks who live in more remote
areas of the world, they're much healthier than those who
live in the most advanced places. So we do have
(40:31):
to recognize that and at Invite Health we can be
your partner in getting you back to a healthy state
for your microbiome through the use of our different probiotics
as well as through meal planning support, so we can
identify foods that are actually going to help facilitate the
(40:52):
health of your microbiome. Because at the end of the day,
your microbiome the two to four pounds of bacteria that
we each carry around with us every single day within
our gut. This drives our immune defenses, This drives our
digestive health, This drives the way that our body detoxifies
(41:12):
and how our cholesterol is managed, how we feel every day,
our mood health. So we don't want to overlook that,
and we definitely don't want to add insult to injury
by continuously putting in bad foods that make things worse.
So let us be your partner. We've been doing this
(41:33):
for close to thirty years now, so we're very good
at what we do. So do tap into that resource
and take advantage of that. Now as far as products today,
as I mentioned, I want to kind of stay in
that lane of cardiovascular and circulatory health. There are many
different things that we definitely need to hone in on
(41:56):
when it comes to heart health, one of which is
or omega three fatty acids. We cannot overlook the important
role that those omega three fatty acids have when it
comes to optimizing the rhythm of the heart, when it
comes to supporting the actual blood vessels themselves. So when
(42:18):
we are thinking of daily supplementation, what are the nutrients
that we want to look at, Well, we can pause
and say, well, how about fish oil?
Speaker 5 (42:29):
How about krill oil.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Well, luckily for you, Invite Health offers both of those
and they are both very powerful. Very powerful omega three
fatty acids make a difference in your body. Now, do
keep in mind not all fish oils that are out
there on the market or something that you find at
your local drug store are created the same, Are they
(42:54):
sourced the same? Are they manufactured the same? No, And
we definitely can see this through the testing that we
do on our fish oil. So when you're taking the
Invite Health fish oil, which goes through this very sustainable
sourcing method, which is very key because we want to
(43:14):
make sure that we always have access to the fishency.
So we do this sustainable sourcing and then it goes
through what is known as a double distillation process.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
And this is important for all of us.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
To recognize why we do this additional step, and that
is that we have to recognize that, yes, the oceans
are not that clean, and we want to be able
to have the purest fish oil, those pure omega threes,
without running the risk of having any type of toxin
(43:49):
in that any type of heavy metal. So this is
why our fish oil goes through that double distillation. And
so when you're using the Invite Health fish oil every
day to support your brain, to support your heart, your cholesterol,
if you have high triglycerides, fish oil is definitely a
very good choice for you. This is something that you
(44:10):
can rest assure. I know I'm getting a very high
amount of total omega three fatty acids, and I also
know that through taking this this is actually going to
absorb into my system and make a difference for regulating inflammation.
How do I know this with such certainty because we've
(44:30):
done testing where someone is not taking the Invite Health
fish oil, maybe they're not taking any at all, or
maybe they're taking a different brand. And then they come
in and they start using the Invite Health fish oil,
and then we assess their fatty acid levels in their
blood and we can see in a very short amount
of time the improvement overall of your Omega three to
(44:54):
Omega six levels. And we always want to make sure
that ratio is very close. It should be two to
one Omega six to omega three. Most Americans that ratio
is twenty to one, which is just very very bad
because that drives.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
Up inflammation in the body.
Speaker 4 (45:12):
So when you're supplementing with Invites fish oil, taking usually
two soft sheels a day. Sometimes this can vary. If
someone's dealing with elevated triglyst rides, we may bump that
up to three or four. But once again, you want
to work with one of our nutritionists to determine how
much you should be taking. But in any event, we
(45:33):
know that when you're supplementing with our clean, sustainable sourced
double distilled fish oil, you are getting the highest potent
omega three fatty acids to support all aspects of your health.
Speaker 5 (45:47):
So that's on special today, the fish oil.

(47:43):
give me a call eight hundred three two one zero
seven ten. That's eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
Speaker 5 (47:54):
Now let's talk.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
About krill oil, because crill oil also falls in to
that category of Omega three fatty acids. What makes krill
oil unique and different from fish oil is krill oil
also has additional fat in it, and that additional fat
is known as phosphatidyl coaling. Now, this is really helpful
(48:19):
when it comes to brain health because we know phosphatidyl
coalin actually can help the brain when it comes to
producing acetyl coaling acetyl coalin is the primary neurotransmitter for memory.
So when you're supplementing with krill oil, you know, hey,
this is really good not just for my joints and
(48:40):
for my heart my blood vessels, but this is really
helpful so that my brain can make us more acetyl coaline,
so I have good memory, so I have good focus
and attention. So that's kind of one of those side
benefits that goes along with daily supplementation of the kryll
oil itself. Now, the other unique thing about krill oil
(49:03):
is that it contains asta's anthin. Now, astasanthin is an
algae based carotenoid. We know the importance of our carotenoids.
We know that carotenoids are very key when it comes to.
Speaker 5 (49:16):
The health of our eyes.
Speaker 4 (49:18):
And this is why having you know, a high abundance
of orange and yellow and red pigmented fruits and vegetables
in your diet is so helpful for eye health. But
it's also very helpful for heart and for brain health.
So when we're supplementing once again with our krill Oil Advanced,
(49:39):
we get this very clean, sustainable source krill that goes
through this testing process to assure its purity and its potency.
We know we're getting the added postatidyl coaline in that
for optimal brain health. And we also know phostatidyl colines
(49:59):
very important folks for liver health. So the way that
the tiny little liver cells your hepatocites, they are made
up of different fatty components to it, and they kind
of work as the security guards one could say, of
what enters the liver cells and what does not. And
(50:22):
so we know that our body every single day is
going through these different stages of detoxification. Part of that
is heavily reliant on these key fats, including phosphatidyl coaling.
So another side benefit to taking that krill oil advanced is, hey,
(50:46):
this is gonna be great for my brain. This is
excellent for my heart and for my vascular system, but
it's also helping my body with daily detoxification. So it's
a win win across the board.
Speaker 5 (50:59):
And we get the.
Speaker 4 (51:00):
Added bonus of having that asked as Anthon in that
I always say, as does Anthon, that's the reason why
pink flamingoes get pink. And if we didn't have asked
as Anthon occurring naturally pink flamingos would not exist in
this world, so we know the power of those carotenoids.
Kryl Oil Advanced is a really good choice. I always
(51:25):
say for folks who are maybe dealing with arthritis in
the hands, this is kind of one of my go tos.
If I'm working with anyone and they say, you know,
I mean I'm dealing with some carpal tunnel issues or
you know, I've been diagnosed with you know, rheumatoid arthritis,
and I really feel a lot of joint stiffness, in
particular in my in my wrist, in my fingers. Kryll
(51:47):
Oil Advanced is always going to be my Omega three
of choice because the way in which the omega three
fatty acids from kryloil are absorbed into the system and
taken in to our bloodstream is a little bit different
than the way fish oil does. So for folks who
(52:09):
are dealing with some of the more acute joint inflammation
when I say acute, more in the hands as opposed
to say, our larger joints like the knee or the hip,
the krill oil is a really good choice for you. Now,
how many of the krill Oil advance should you be
(52:30):
taking each day?
Speaker 5 (52:31):
Well, that really varies, that.
Speaker 4 (52:34):
Can Let's just put a standard amount out there, Let's
say two capsules per day. Can that vary, of course
depending on your specific needs. We at times we'll have
someone taking you know, two caps three times a day.
But for the most part, two capsules a day is
(52:55):
going to give you a wonderful amount of oh my
of threes to really give your system that full and
comprehensive support.
Speaker 5 (53:05):
Good morning, Claire, how are you doing?
Speaker 7 (53:08):
Good morning? I am doing fine. I'll just make this
a succinct as I can. I have a lung cancers
nodule on the lower lobe. I just received my first
infusion at MSK yesterday, so I'm feeling a little loopy. However,
(53:30):
my question is this, should I stay on these supplements
that say A LA you know I, KA, krill oil
A you know D And I'm not sure if they'll
interfere with any of these chemicals that.
Speaker 5 (53:46):
I'm taking, right, and that is, oh, go ahead?
Speaker 7 (53:50):
What I'm also on one ooral and a two infusion?
Speaker 5 (53:56):
Oh goodness.
Speaker 4 (53:57):
Well, Well, first and foremost, you know, I just want to,
you know, say, I'm sorry to hear that you were.
Speaker 5 (54:01):
Dealing with that.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
But you know, it sounds like you you have a
very positive outlook, and that is one of the biggest
things to always keep you.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
Know in mind.
Speaker 4 (54:12):
You know, I encourage you to do some mindfulness techniques
that also can be very helpful when you're going through
a process such as what you're dealing with with going
through the chemotherapy and all of that.
Speaker 8 (54:24):
I do.
Speaker 4 (54:24):
Yeah, right, good, that that's excellent. You know, there's something
to be said of you know, mind over matter. And
but when it comes to you know, what nutrients you
should or should not be taking, And this is an
excellent question. I'm glad that you brought this up because
it's an area where you know, if you're talking to
your oncology team, they're obviously going to, you know, give
(54:46):
you the best advice they can, keeping in mind oftentimes
they don't have a background when it comes to nutrition,
but you are, you know, in a.
Speaker 5 (54:54):
Great place where they do actually have quite a bit.
Speaker 4 (54:57):
Of knowledge when it comes to what nutrients, what antioxidants
you should include, which things you should avoid based off
of is it going to make the drugs that you
are on, the medications, is it going to make those
either more.
Speaker 5 (55:12):
Or less effective.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
So it's kind of one of those things where the
basic nutrients things like your vitamin D for example, your
Omega three fatty acids, those of course you would want
to keep into your daily routine. When it comes to
adding in other nutrients, even with vitamin C, we really
(55:34):
have to analyze, you know, what is the treatment course
and will the higher antioxidant capacity in your body kind
of counteract the actual treatment. So you know, what I
will say to you is if you want to, you know,
shoot me an email so that I have your contact
information and you know, list off the actual medications that
(55:58):
you're on. I can divide a you know, personalized supplementation
routine for you to make sure that we are not
having any type of interaction of your vitamins and minerals
with the current treatment plan that your oncology team has
you on, because you know, it may be a situation
where yes, green tea is going to be an excellent addition,
(56:21):
where if we add in and acetyl system for example,
is going to really facilitate a proper healing process for
your cells as well as can enhance the way that
the chemotherapy is working. So these are the things that
you know, we can, you know, the two of us
can work together and devise a proper routine for you
(56:45):
that is going to work synergistically with your current treatment plan.
So my emails A Williams at invitehealth dot com. So
if you want to email me then and just list
the exact medications, I will be happy to design a
plan for you that's gonna work, you know, in.
Speaker 5 (57:09):
Addition to what your treatment is.
Speaker 7 (57:13):
Okay, thank you very much. And I've been using the
products for many years. Uh, you are a great addition
to the family.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
Oh, I appreciate that.
Speaker 7 (57:22):
Yeah, so I've been okay, so, but thank you very
much for your well wishes and encouragement. And I'm gonna
beat this thing.
Speaker 5 (57:32):
Yes you are, Yes you are.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
And like I said, you know, I'm happy to work
with you. You know, we can set up times where
you know, we check in with each other and you know,
go through what you're doing with your diet and you know,
like you said, the mindfulness techniques all of that, and
we can kind of just set up a regular routine
where the two of us get together, whether that's you know,
via video chat or just.
Speaker 5 (57:53):
A phone call or whatnot.
Speaker 4 (57:56):
But I'm glad that you are are tackling this with
a positive mind mindset and that that's the best way
to handle any type of a situation like this, because
no one ever wants to face this, obviously, Claire, but
you know you you do have a good outlook and
that makes an astronomical difference for sure.
Speaker 7 (58:18):
Okay, I thank you very much.
Speaker 4 (58:20):
You are welcome, and and you know, I'm I'm glad
Claire called in about this because I've been doing this
for so many years now and this is one of
those areas when it comes to, you know, folks who
are dealing with, you know, a cancer diagnosis, cancer in
and of itself once again, and it's not a one
(58:41):
size fits all you can say, Okay, it's a lung cancer,
it's a prostate cancer. Is there you know one particular
treatment plan that fits well with my supplance? And the
true answer to that is no, because we have to understand,
you know, what are your individual needs, what specific medica
are you on, and this isn't something that you clearly
(59:04):
willy nilly want to approach.
Speaker 5 (59:06):
So you know the fact that.
Speaker 4 (59:08):
Claire is being very proactive and saying, you know, what
can I take, what can't I take that's so key
because unfortunately in this you know world, sometimes people are
given not the best advice and maybe taking something that
you think, oh, well, this is really good, it's a
powerful antioxidant and it's you know, great for this or that,
(59:29):
but maybe it's you know, very bad.
Speaker 5 (59:32):
To interact with a particular medication.
Speaker 4 (59:34):
So it's always good to reach out to myself or
to doctor Claire. Doctor Claires are naturopathic doctor on staff.
So if you find yourself in a situation with a
more severe diagnosis, do reach out to myself or to
doctor Claire. And she is at Forest Hills and she's
(59:56):
wonderful and we both are very well versed on working
with folks who are going through situations such as Claire.
So so do keep that in mind. So at the
at the end of the day, we can always personalize
a routine that can enhance your health and keep your
(01:00:17):
energy levels up and keep your your mood up all
of that, even when you're going through uh, you know,
radiation or chemotherapy.
Speaker 5 (01:00:26):
So do keep that in mind.
Speaker 4 (01:00:27):
But you want to go to the experts, So myself
and doctor Claire that's who you're going to reach out to.
So I know I have Florence. Hello, I know you're
waiting to ask your question. If you stick around with me,
I am going to take a quick break Florence, and
then I'm going to come back.

(01:02:06):
doctor Amanda Williams, and we are talking all things heart
health today and beyond because this is Invite Health and
so we don't like to just, you know, put everything
into one bucket. But we've already covered fish oil and
curl oil. I have a lot more to cover, but
we have Florence on the line. And thank you so
much Florence for sticking around through the break with me.
And how are you doing this morning?
Speaker 10 (01:02:29):
Well, I'm in the village of Tierra Verdie, which is
part of Saint Petersburg, or on an island surrounded by
Campa Bay. Forty four degrees, but it feels like thirty eight.
Speaker 11 (01:02:41):
Ooh.
Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
I feel your pain, Florence, because that's how I woke
up this morning and I thought, oh, this does not
feel like Florida. I had to go bust out some
of my old winter clothes and I'm all bundled up.
I'm sure everyone up in New York would be laughing
at both of us, But thirty eight, it feels like
thirty eight.
Speaker 5 (01:02:59):
That's pretty check.
Speaker 9 (01:03:01):
Yes, And my dog who's only nine pounds, doesn't like
going out in the cult. Oh, I understand they're going
to get warm and when the sun comes out. I
listened to your show, you and Jerry religiously and I
without constant education. You know, we're so busy we forget everything.
(01:03:26):
Right now, I'm very happy that both of youse are
on these shocks. I'm calling because I'm seeing a lot
of information about methylene blue and I've never heard of it,
but apparently it's very important for turing horrible chronic diseases.
(01:03:51):
Have you ever heard of this? I have no idea
what it is.
Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Yes, I have.
Speaker 4 (01:03:58):
So. And it's interesting because sometimes things trend and then
they go away and then they come back. But we
definitely know that methylene blue is in the traditional medical world,
this is something that can be utilized when someone's dealing
(01:04:20):
with a particular type of blood condition where the red
blood cells themselves are having a difficult time carrying oxgen
out to the tissues. And we see this in you know,
settings such as congestive heart failure. As an example, severe
cases of anemia where that transport of oxygen because that's
(01:04:42):
what the red blood cells do, they carry that oxygen
out to the tissue. So people feel incredibly fatigued.
Speaker 5 (01:04:47):
So when you.
Speaker 4 (01:04:49):
Look at methylene blue, what it does is it directly
oxidize the hemoglobin or the red blood cells. And so
this I'm not sure where it's trending right now as
far as if it's you know, in the setting of
like a supplementation that you're referring to, but that's what
(01:05:09):
that methylene blue is actually doing. Now there is a
caveat to that because you know, too much of something
is not always a great thing, and we can see
that with methylene blue. If you're you know, taking this
under a doctor's you know, order or whatnot, it's going
to be very regulated and monitored to make sure that
you're not getting you know, too much or too little.
(01:05:30):
But in the setting of supplementation, that's an area that
you just have to be very careful with. My advice
and Jerry's advice on that would be if you are
dealing with a condition where your red blood cell levels
are low, an anemia, chronic kidney disease, for example, where
we see red blood cell levels are low, or if
we have a heart condition, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease,
(01:05:55):
anything that can complicate the way that the red blood
cells are functioning, then what we turn to. What myself
and what Jerry would advise, would be going with ubiquenol
to energize up those red blood cells along with taking
perhaps if it's a true anemia, iron plus HX from invite.
(01:06:17):
But we would be looking at how do we encourage
healthier self function as opposed to you know, do we
run the risk of trying to throw this methylene blue
in to increase the oxygen levels, which then could be
too much. Like I said, too much is not always
a good thing. So that's that would be I think
(01:06:40):
the standard answer that both myself and Jerry would give
is we would go with the other nutrients. We would
go with the well tested and studied and understood ubiquenol.
How that can make a difference with driving oxygen.
Speaker 5 (01:06:53):
Out to the tissues. We would look.
Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
At even carnatine for example, so the l car with
ala would also be an excellent choice because it's going
to better facilitate the red blood cell's ability to push
that oxygen out to the tissues.
Speaker 5 (01:07:08):
So those would be the.
Speaker 4 (01:07:09):
Nutrients that we would turn to, certainly over the methylene blue, all.
Speaker 9 (01:07:14):
Right, So I would take the iron plus the udiquenoil
which I'm already on, and the carnitine.
Speaker 4 (01:07:21):
Right. But let me ask this, do you have a
condition or anything that you're dealing with where you know
that your red blood cell levels are low.
Speaker 9 (01:07:33):
I have anemia, and I have the rain nods, and
when I go into the month with scold, it shows
that my red blood cells are sticky, and I have
the bead, the bad cholesterol. I have the tiny cholesterol
(01:07:56):
that was more likely to become a clot.
Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
Okay, so you've got you've got small dense particles.
Speaker 5 (01:08:04):
Uh so for those two.
Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Yeah, So for those who are listening your your your
cholesterol travels around the body in two forms. It's either
big and fluffy, which we like, or it's small and dense,
small and dentse as Florence is describing, that can get
kind of stuck in the blood vessels. And then if
we complicate matters and we already have kind of sticky
blood that which means the viscosity of the blood is
(01:08:28):
too thick. Then that makes it even more of a challenge.
So there are things that we can be definitely looking
at in your situation, being that you know that you
have anemia, taking that iron plus one capsule a day,
and that also has the B vitamins built into that,
but I would still add in one cap of methyl
(01:08:49):
B along with that, So I would do the iron plus.
Speaker 9 (01:08:52):
I have to take the methyl B because I have
I can't meth the leg the B twelve.
Speaker 5 (01:08:58):
Ah, you have mt hf are.
Speaker 9 (01:09:01):
Okay, that's correct, only one gene defect, not the two.
Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Okay, well that that's a plus, you know, only dealing
with one one gene mutation as we used to call them,
but now we call them gene variants, so one over
the two. So yeah, you definitely need the methyl B
for that. But the other thing for the stickiness of
the blood that you can look at and I don't
know if they've tested your you know, fibrinagen levels, but
(01:09:28):
natokinase is a really good choice for that. The the
NATO itself really helps to regulate fibrine levels, so the
fibrint is what can lead to that stickiness. So we
have the natokinase plus formulation taking one capsule of that
per day would be quite advisable in your situation. But
(01:09:52):
the next time you have blood work done, you know,
reach out to me and you know you can either
email me and then we can set up a time
to talk. But I'd like to be able to go
through and actually look and see, you know, where are
all of your levels, you know, what does your MCV level?
Look at and see to make sure that we are
covering all the gaps in terms of nutrition and that
(01:10:14):
we are having you on the ideal supplement routine to
make sure that the anemia number one is you know,
better regulated and controlled, and if we need to make
any adjustments to that to make sure that you are
getting good oxygenation out to your tissues. We can do
that in real time just by looking at your blood work.
Speaker 5 (01:10:36):
So you know, definitely reach out to me.
Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
Right So, so you are one of those those cases Florence,
where for folks who who aren't familiar with, uh what
some of the things that we've just been discussing. You know, anemia,
most people have probably heard of that, but then you
have rainouts and you have of mthfr. So mthfr folks
(01:11:03):
who maybe have never heard of that what Florence is
dealing with is the way that her body breaks down
B vitamins, in particular folate. And when that happens, if
you have a gene variant the say, any food that's
fortified with B vitamins, her body cannot properly absorb those,
which puts her always at a compromised position of her
(01:11:27):
B vitamin status being low. So in that situation, our
way to work around the gene variant because we can't
change the bad gene, but what we can do is
we take the bioactive B vitamins. So that's why she's
taking the invite methyl B formulation.
Speaker 5 (01:11:42):
Now Rainouds is.
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
When blood flow, just to kind of put it basic
to the fingers or to the toes is incredibly compromised
and this can create a significant amount of problems for
folks like Lawrence who are dealing with this. The clinical
you know symptoms oftentimes is you know, you can get
(01:12:07):
have pain tingling the skin itself, can you know, kind
of have some patches on it like blue or red, and.
Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
You always feel like they're cold.
Speaker 4 (01:12:19):
So this is something that we we definitely always want
to be able to address and we look at different
nutrients that we know that can be beneficial for rainouts,
including you know, making sure you have your magnesium every day,
making sure that you're taking your you know, essential fatty acids,
your omega three fatty acids, looking at other nutrients such
(01:12:41):
as vitamin C and acetyl cystein that we know that
can help to support the production of glutathione to protect
the blood vessels themselves. We can look at rizveritrol. So
there's many different nutrients that we can identify as being
helpful in that setting of rainouts pheno. But this is
(01:13:02):
definitely a more complicated issue that Florence is dealing with
because she's got the the anemia. Plus we already have
a vascular issue going on with rainouts, so you have
to be very targeted with which nutrients you're using and
what's going to.
Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Give you the best support.
Speaker 4 (01:13:20):
So yeah, for you, definitely we want to be looking at,
you know, any of the powerful polyphenales. The rizveritrol, the
grape seed extract would be excellent choices for you.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
But we for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:13:33):
Want to make sure that we have that anemia you know,
in check and that we're getting good oxygen out to
the tissues because that also will help better regulate the
rain out so you're having you know, less exacerbations of that.
So I look forward to working with you in the
future of Florence. And you know, like I said, next
time you have some blood work done, just shoot me
(01:13:55):
an email A Williams at invitehealth dot com and we'll
get to work.
Speaker 5 (01:14:00):
We'll get you on track.
Speaker 9 (01:14:02):
Thank you, doctor Amanda, Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Oh you are so very welcome. And you stay warm
over there and enjoy the rest of your day. That
is a perfect case there talking to Florence of someone
who's dealing with, you know, many different conditions and how
do we go about addressing those. So if that sounds
familiar to you, this is why you want to reach
(01:14:26):
out to Invite Health, because we look at each person
as being unique and we want to have a personalized
routine that fits your specific needs.
Speaker 5 (01:14:36):
So I do need to squeeze in a break.
Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
I know I have Philip on the line. Philip, how
are you doing this morning?
Speaker 8 (01:14:43):
Wonderful? Very good?
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
That is great, if you don't mind sticking around with me,
I'm gonna squeeze in a quick break here and then
we'll come back and we'll have a chat. How does
that sound?
Speaker 8 (01:14:54):
That sounds great?

And welcome back to Invite Health Radio. I am doctor
Amanda Williams. Happy Saturday morning. I've got Philip on the line. Philip,
how can I help you today?
Speaker 8 (01:16:25):
Yes, thank you. Listen to your show a lot one
of your customers, and I'm sorry that your Wolverines haven't
done so well this year, but I think they'll do
better next year.
Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
I'm hopeful we have a very good incoming quarterback. So
but you know, not one, not just one guy makes
the team.
Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
I know that you are a kidding but thank you.
But well, question i'd like to ask you, which I
listen to your show all the time and I never
heard you address, is testosterone enhancement for men if besides
lifestyle changes, if there's any supplements that really help that
at all, I would always sort of dim as one
(01:17:04):
of them. But maybe you could help me out here
and help the rest of the male population for pre
testoster and enhancement of older men.
Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
Definitely, And that's an excellent question because we definitely know
that men once they hit about forty years old, there
can be just a natural shift that happens in the
hormone pathway where testosterone levels can start to go down.
And I always say, it's not like poof testosterone just
you know, the left the body.
Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
It's still there, but where did it go?
Speaker 4 (01:17:39):
Because once it's left where it's supposed to be, this
is when you start to experience issues. Whether that's you know,
low libido, whether it's issues when it comes to a
rectile dysfunction, whether it's prostate health issues. We have to
find out where did that testosterone disappear to. And the
way that we figure that out is through blood testing,
(01:18:00):
so looking at the both total testosterone level and free testosterone,
looking at estradial because that's usually the primary place to
where testosterone gets lost to. So men start to fill
up too much estrogen and that's not good because then
that's a big risk factor for you know, heart attacks
and stroke and men. So we always want to identify
(01:18:22):
that and then we say, well what can we do
nutritionally speaking, Well, we know that we can increase you know,
the intake of cruciferous vegetables to get that natural dim
and the indul three carbonyl that we know the cruciferous
vegetables provide. But we also can look at different nutrients,
like we have our masculine HX formulation that contains chrysin
(01:18:46):
in that what we know about chrysin this is a
plant based nutrient, is it creates a natural blockade of
the way testosterone is being lost into estrogen. So that's
really important, right because we want to make sure that
we're holding on to testosterone in the place that we
(01:19:06):
need it. We don't want to have it, you know,
starting to over convert into estradal. So we take our
masculine HX and that helps to blockade that kind of
puts up a little roadblock and says, sorry, you can't
make estrogen, You're going to stay as testosterone.
Speaker 5 (01:19:24):
So that's one area that we work on.
Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
The other thing is our Men's Edge formulation, and this
is our most popular product in our men's line when
it comes to targeting issues of low libido and issues
with a rectile dysfunction because it's a combination of multiple
nutrients that help to enhance blood flow. First and foremost,
(01:19:48):
so it has urginine in it, and we know from
the Mayo Clinic that urginine is a go to amino
acid for men who are dealing with a rectile dysfunction.
And then it also has ginkle below us we've got
two nutrients that are going to enhance blood flow, and
then it has the nutrients such as Trabilis extract. There's
(01:20:09):
Macha extract I careen extract in this formulation, and those
all help to stabilize testosterone levels. And when I say stabilize,
we're making sure once again that we're not losing testosterone
into dihydro testosterone, because I said it can go one
way towards estrogen or it goes another way towards dihydro testosterone.
(01:20:33):
If we have too much DHT that's building up, then
that is a problem for the prostate, but it's also
a problem for you because you're losing free testosterone that
would be available to maintain muscle mass, your energy levels,
your libido. So the Men's Edge formulation that we have
is very complete at really going through and targeting those
(01:20:58):
multiple reasons why free testosterone levels start to plummet, and
then we can partner that up with the masculine HX,
so we're creating this like double blockade of where testosterone
levels can be just dropping, dropping, dropping. So that's the
one area that I always say blood testing becomes very
(01:21:20):
helpful because if we can see that, you know, a
good portion of your free testosterone has diminished and is
now kind of sitting as estrogen, or sitting as sex
hormone binding globulin, or it's sitting as dihydro testosterone. Those
are the things that we want to analyze. Other nutrients
(01:21:41):
that you can, you know, consider would be DHA. So
that's the precursor hormone to making testosterone, So you know,
supplementation with DHA may be incredibly advantageous to help with
the restoration of testosterone levels. Best thing to do is
to have your DHA salt fate level tested and if
(01:22:02):
your blood level is low, and keep in mind, it
may come back on the lab and say, yeah, you're
quote unquote normal, but you know that's not usually the case.
So if that level's low, then that would be another
good place to supplement Take your DHA. How much would
you take for men, it's usually about fifty to one
(01:22:22):
hundred milligrams of DHA each day, and then you partner
that with taking the men's edge formulation and you take
that masculine so we have this you know, blockade, and
then if we need to create more testosterone, we can
add that DHA into that mix. So hopefully that gets
you on the right path. But I'm happy to work
(01:22:44):
with you if you do have you know, any recent
blood tests done on your hormone levels, because it's not
just looking at total testosterone. A lot of times men
want to look at specifically their total testosterone and that's great, that's.
Speaker 5 (01:22:59):
It's just a number.
Speaker 4 (01:22:59):
So men go and get like a testosterone injection, they'll say, oh,
look at my testosterone level came up really high. That's
fine and dandy, but we don't know if it's going
to remain high or if it's going to start to
over convert once again. So we really need to look
at that free testosterone level along with dihydro testosterone and
estra dial so that gives you the best indication of
(01:23:22):
you know, where are we potentially losing testosterone and how
do we build that back up? Phil shoot me an
email A Williams at invite health dot com. I just
