Speaker 2 (00:31):
Good morning. Thank you for joining us on this holiday weekend.
It's Memorial Day weekend, and it's a solemn, somber holiday
when you look at it. I mean, you know, my
wife and I always think about Allo's military people who
gave their life to let us live the way we
live today, a great life. But it also starts the
(00:55):
summer season for many people. In any event, we're having
a Memorial Day weekend. Sell any product, any Invite product.
You purchase, you buy one at suggested retail, you get
the second bottle free. So that's fifty percent of suggested
retail on two bottles, plus if it's thirty five dollars
(01:16):
or more, we pay the shipping so that's a really
good deal. So take advantage of that. Because these are
super pure, very clean, fresh, well crafted products, they really
have a benefit. They're safe, we know how to use them,
and there's nutritionists on hand, true nutritionists that you can
get information from. If you have questions, you can go
(01:39):
into an Invite or you could go online on our
website Invite health dot com or quill on the phone
and ask to speak to a nutritionist if you need
some guidance. If you have some questions now, because everything's
on sale, I could talk about anything I like, so
I always focus on my favorite supplements. So I've been
using the Invite multis since I first met Invite. I
(02:02):
used to have pharmacies called Hickey Chemists, a small group
of pharmacies in Manhattan and Queens and Nassau County, and
doctor wil and doctor Sam Benjamin and other researchers had
put together some formulas and I thought the formulas were astounding,
and I said, Hey, I want to work with these people,
(02:23):
and I partnered up with the Invite company and we
came out with these amazing multis, which I've changed as
research hits. There's been some minor changes, some additions and
they're great. You're not going to get a better multivitamin
than the Invite multie. And since I met this group
(02:45):
that was basically founded by doctor Renderwell and doctor Sam
Benjamin and my friend Steve Cornlatt, I haven't ever used
any other multi vitamin. The singles from my two sons
and my wife and now my daughter in law. I
make sure this is what you take. This covers you
from head to toe, you young people. I mean, it's
(03:05):
just amazing what it could do for you. And no
other multi vitamin enters into my cabinet. It enters into
my house. That's how strongly I feel about this multi
So why well, let's start off with some basic things.
There's a very good form of selenium in the product. Now,
selenium is a mineral you don't need much, so they
didn't put a huge amount. Some multi vitamins put way
(03:28):
too much. Now, selenium interacts with other nutrients and the multivitamin,
mainly zinc and iodine for your thyroid to function. Your
thyroid will not function without selenium. So just to make
energy and get off the couch or get out of
bed in the morning, you need solnium. But the most
recent research from names this huge ongoing study in the
(03:50):
United States, these name surveys. Soelenium reduces your risk of stroke,
Selenium reduces your risk of heart failure, and it reduces
your risk of hardening any arteries of heart attack and arrhythmias.
The most common arrhythmia, which is angina plus. You need
selenium to get rid of toxins. The detoxification pathways throughout
(04:14):
the body depend on selenium. You cannot protect your body
without selenium. So there's a good u there's a rational
amount of selenium in there. Like I said, up, many
multi vitamins put way too much selenium. You don't need
that much. But this kind of selenium is really well
absorbed and really functions very well in the human body. Now,
(04:34):
another thing you get any invite multese, you're not really
getting another maltese or you're only getting a tiny amount,
is lutine. Lutine is a pigment. It's a carotenoid, and
it protects our eyes. It protects our vision. It even
improves our vision, like we're better able to pick things
out from background. Like if you're driving your car and
(04:55):
it's raining, it's easy to see things in the road
to see at night, it's easier to see further. But
it also protects our rise. You need it for eye function,
so there's plenty of lutine in there. You're getting five milligrams,
which is amazing. But there's a lot of research now
(05:16):
that lutine protects your brain. For instance, I looked at
four MRI studies, Magnetic resonance imaging, functional MRIs, and theo
jurnal lutrients and lutine improves the structure of your brain
people older people especially who get sufficient lutine. And here's
(05:37):
a tip, it gets harder and harder with time to
absorb loutine from your food. So even if you're eating
corn and spinach and broccoli and eggs, et cetera, the yolks,
you're not getting as much lutine as you think. You
have to supplement with lutine once you hit your late fifties,
you really do, because your ability to absorb it from
food diminishes for some reason that nobody has figured out yet. Plus,
(06:01):
drugs like statin, drugs that lower cholesterol, can also lower
your lutine content in your body, So that's an important thing.
If you're on a drug like lipitoire, or crustore, any
of those drugs simba statin, atovastatin. You need a little
more lutine because the drugs take lutine out of your
body and you need it for your brain. So for
(06:25):
MRI studies, lutine improved the structure to brain in older people,
especially the part where your memory and learning takes place,
your hippocampus, And it also improved cognitive functions like learning, remembering, thinking,
figuring things out. And then there were a bunch of
EEG studies electron cephalogram studies, same conclusion that lutine. EEGs
(06:47):
measure electrical conductivity in the brain because that's how the
brain functions, and lutine improved the function of the gray
matter and learning. They sort of improve learning. But they
found in a whole bunch of human clinical trials that
lutine and older people literally increases the volume of the brain,
the gray matter where your learning and memory takes place.
(07:09):
So lutine is anti memory loss. It fights memory loss.
Your brain communication is better, the quickness of your brain
paying attention, your focus, everything improves with lutine, So it's
really important for your learning and memory. And there's five
milligrams of research verified lutine in our multivitamins, so that's amazing.
(07:32):
It really is. There's a lot of eye formulas around
that do not supply five milligrams of lutine. Lycopine. Micopene
is the red stuff and tomato sauce and red fruits
and vegetables. Lycopine reduces inflammation in your heart, your arteries,
your veins, your blood vessels in general. It helps prevent
clogging of the heart. Most recent research, lycopine reduces your
(07:56):
risk of stroke by fifty percent over fifty percent, I shall,
they said fifty five percent. Lycopene strongly protects your skin,
like the ultraviolet sun rays cause wrinkling, skin discoloration and
skin cancer. And they've shown that people with sufficient lycopene
in their diet, where they have lycopene daily, it reduces
(08:17):
ultraviolet damage to the skin by about forty percent. So
it's great for your skin tone. It's great for helping
to reduce the risk of skin cancer along when using
sunscreen and not being out and the sun's rays, like
just laying there in the sun that's not good. But
they also found that lycopene reduces your cancer risk. They
(08:37):
found that there's a reduction in breast cancer risk for
certain breast cancers, prostate cancer risk. Look at Biden that
with is prostate cancer. It reduces your prostate cancer risk,
the risk of bone cancers, and the risk of lung cancer.
So you're getting plenty of lycopene and lutine in these multis.
You're getting enough selenium, are very well absorbed salon. You're
(09:00):
getting toco trianol, which is the strongest brain protecting version
of vitamin E. There's two families of vitamin E. There's
twokoferoles that you normally get in most multi vitamins. Ours
has to cof rolls and tocotrianoles. Toco triangles strongly protect
your brain from damage. You're not getting that in other multivitamins.
(09:21):
This is true trocotriantle. All the ingredients I'm talking about
now have been used in human clinical trials that are
published in medical journals, and they're all in They're the
core of all of our multi vitamins, whether it's the
multi vitamin for men, the multi vitamin for women, the
envit performance, the Envy core multi This is in all
of those boxed multiples. You're getting methical balment, methical blement,
(09:45):
is a form of B twelve that does everything B
twelve is expected to do. Not all forms of B
twelve do everything. For instance, most multi vitamins use cianocobalamin,
which is vitamin B twelve attached to cyanide. Now, the
problem with that is a lot of people cannot convert
it to methical ballamin, yet they fail to do it adequately. Yet,
(10:10):
methical ballamin is very important for nerve function and for
brain function. If you lack methical baalamin and your brain,
they will think you have Alzheimer's disease. It mimics Alzheimer's.
That's how important methical ballomen is in your brain. And
that's the type of beach twelve you get in the
invite multi vitains. And then the form of folic acid.
(10:32):
Folate is a B vitamin in the Plant Kingdom, and
it's ubiquitous in the plant Kingdom means meaning it's found
all over the plant Kingdom. And that's why they call
it folate. It's named after foliage plants. But the kind
they get in most multi vitamins comes from this kind
of weird factory in China that I really wouldn't want
(10:54):
to deal with. And a lot of people do not
convert that folic acid into the form that prevents Alzheimer's
and cancer, which is methyl tetrahydrofolate. You can look it
up mt hfm as in Mary t is and Thomas
h is and Harry f is in frank. So, methyl
tetrahydrofolate is the form of folate of follic acid that works.
(11:20):
It lowers your risk at the get go for cancer
because it strongly protects your genes. It attaches to genes
and key areas. See damage to genes leads to cancer.
So virus affecting your genes, radiation, the sun's ultraviolet rays, pollution, drugs,
alcohol affecting your genes and causing mutations leads to cancer.
(11:42):
The methyl tetrahydrofolate attaches to your genes at these key points.
It's called methylation and blocks damage caused by things like
cigarette smoke and pollution and the sun and viruses and
chemicals and sprays, et cetera. So a lot of people
taking most multivitamins are getting fullic acid. They're not converting
(12:05):
it into methyl tetrahydrofolate. They're not getting that cancer protection
they should be getting. From their multivitamin, but also it
greatly reduces the risk of Alzheimer's. If you can't use
folic acid, a chemical goes up in your brain called homocysteine.
Homocystine will lead to depression and Alzheimer's disease. Elevated homocystine
(12:29):
in your brain is all you need to cause Alzheimer's disease.
It on its own will cause Alzheimer's disease. If you
can't convert the follic acid in your multivitamin into this stuff,
the methyl tetrahydrofolate, you're not lowering the homocystine in your brain,
and you have an increased risk for not just depression
(12:50):
but Alzheimer's disease. When you get the Invite multivitamins, you're
getting methyl tetrahydrofolate and plenty of it to reduce homocystine
in your brain to help lower that real risk factor
for Alzheimer's and that real risk factor for depression. But
also you're lowering your risk of cancer where other multie
are falling short of that and many people. So there's
(13:10):
a lot of reasons for using our multice I would
never use any other multi There's so many ingredients in
this multi that have been used in human clinical trials.
The tocotriangles, the lycopene, the lutine, diseaxanthine, other carotenoid pigments,
the methyl tetrahydrofoil, the methical balment, tocotriangles. They've all been
(13:32):
used in human clinical trials. We know they work, we
know they're safe, we know they really protect you. But
you will feel better on this multi mos. People take Multie,
they don't feel anything when you take this multi I'm
telling you, by the second day or third day, you're
going to feel improved energy because of the quality of
the ingredients and the combination of the ingredients mean something.
(13:54):
So I'm talking about the Multie right now because we're
having a sale Memorial Day. Ill you buy any invite
product two bottles, two boxes, two containers, whatever comes in,
you get fifty percent off suggested retail. So you buy
one at retail, you get the second one free. And
if we ship it to you and it's in order
(14:16):
of thirty five dollars or more, we pay for the shipping.
So that's a big deal. That's a lot of savings. Okay,
I'm going to go to a break a little bit early.
We're having a Memorial Date sale, and don't forget this show.
I'm doing the first half hour. Doctor Amanda Williams is
doing the next hour. So I do this first half hour,
then this three minutes of news and I'm Inda Williams.
(14:37):
Doctor Amanda Williams comes on and she's very profound, and
she really knows her stuff, and she's just a wonderful person.
So after I'm finished, she should stick around and after
the program, if you have questions, you could call the
Invite stores, or you could go into the Invite stores,
or you could go online and say, hey, I have
some questions I need to clarify something. Can I speak
(14:57):
with a nutritionist and they will put you on with
a bona fied nutritionis okay, I'm going to a break
your hicky Invite Health. Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. Hi.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Okay, Welcome back, Cherry Hickey, Invite Health Radio. We're having
our Memorial Day sale. By two bottles of any Invite product.
You get fifty percent off suggested retail, and if we
ship it to you and it's thirty five dollars or more,
we cover the shipping. So that's a good deal. That's
a great deal because these are quality products. They're fresh,
(16:28):
they're clean, they're measured correctly, the ingredients. All the ingredients
in the product are listed on the label, and all
the ingredients listed on the label are actually in the
product at that dosage, so it's really good stuff. Now
I have a I'm going through some dental work. I
had damaged some teeth in an accident years ago, and
(16:51):
over the years they were getting worse and worse, and
finally I literally had to have two molars pulled on
my left side of my mouth, so I have to
do implants. So the first thing they had to do
was bone grafts because I lost bone. Yeah, I was
hoping those teeth would always be there, but I injured
them a long time ago in a boating accident, and
(17:12):
they just got worse and worse over the years. So
I had them pulled last week and they did bone grafts.
So the bone they put in there has to attach
to my bone. So how am I making sure this
is actually happening. I'm mixing together every day collagen HX
(17:32):
and bone powder, and I take this. I'm taking it
every day. That will fuse the bones together. So that's
a good lesson for you if you want to build
bone or if you need to heal, those are two
excellent formulas to take. For a number of reasons. Collagen
(17:55):
is the most common solid ingredient in the human body.
Water is number one. Collagen is number two. Because you know,
while water makes you blood and everything, and the interstitial
fluid is the fluid in your brain. You know your
cerebral spinal fluid and all that, the fluid in your eyeballs,
that's water. So water is are your number one ingredient.
(18:16):
Collagen's number two. Here's the problem. Collagen production slows with age.
So if I was thirty five and I needed to heal,
I wouldn't need the collagen unless it was massive damage.
Like people who have severe burns, they use collagen wraps
on the skin to heal the skin. So if you're
thirty five and you have some dental work, you're making
(18:38):
plenty of collagen as long as you eat protein. But
when you're fifty, sixty, seventy eighty, that production of collagen
has dropped dramatically. That's what happens. Every decade, you make
less and less. So if you're fifty five and you're
having surgery, or you're sixty five and having surgery or
older and you need help healing. You need collagen because
(18:58):
that makes you. Let's go through what it makes. First
of all, it makes parts of your brain, like the
thinking part of your brain is largely collagen. It's the if.
It's the if. What is the number one ingredient in
the human body, and collagen's number two. And after that
comes fats are important. Well, you know that's your brain, right,
(19:19):
Your brain's a lot of fat like fishuls collagen water,
I mean lucky your brain. Starter is that collagen makes
the barrier that keeps nasty things out of your brain,
which is important. It's called the blood brain barrier because
that breaks down and gets leaky with age, and nasty
(19:39):
things are getting into your brain. And that's one reason
why we lose memory or get depressed or have trouble
sleeping as we age, which is a much bigger discussion,
but we don't have time right now. Collagen makes your skin.
About seventy percent of your skin is collagen, and almost
the rest of it is something called highaluronic acid. So
there's no if there's not a no collagen, the high
(20:01):
auronic acid can't help you because it has no place
to go. Collagen also makes your nails and your hair.
So one reason why your nails aren't growing or they're
breaking easily as you grow older is because you're not
beg in collagen. So you could take collagen and that'll
make up for it. Your hair kind of gets wiry
and hard to control, and it looks like it's blowing
away as you get older because it's thinning out because
(20:23):
there's no collagen. Your hairs made out of collagen. So
take the collagen for your hair, nails, your skin. It's
actually been shown our collagen in many human clinical trials
throughout the globe has been shown to repair the skin
like wrinkles, sun damage, just colorations, creepy looking skin, sagging skin.
It's been shown to improve over. Collagen makes you bone.
(20:45):
That's why I'm taking the collagen for my oral work.
I'm having implants put in in like three or four months.
I've got a heel by them, so to have the
bone implant heel and that hair to my bone, I'm
taking collagen because without that, I'm not making gum tissue.
I'm not making bone tissue. I'm not making Ligaman's tendons,
(21:06):
nerves because they're all made out of collagen. So if
you really want to build bone, you need collagen because
collagen makes up thirty six percent of your bone approximately,
So why is that important. Collagen gives your bone to
the ability to absorb a hit, So if you hit
your forearm on the floor, you don't shatter it, you
(21:27):
don't break your bone. It's less likely to break because
collagen gives it the ability to absorb a shock and
absorb a hit, absorb trauma. But collagen is also where
calcium goes to nest okay, So when you take calcium,
if you don't have collagen in the bone, the calcium
is useless. It has nowhere to go, It has nowhere
(21:49):
to adhere to, nothing to stick on to. So if
you want to build bone, you need collagen. The bone
is about thirty six percent collagen. The amount of calcium
varies study to study. Some studies say thirty five percent,
but that's it attaches to the collagen. So if you
want to build bone, you don't need just calcium and
vitamin D and whatever else. There are other things like
(22:11):
magnesium and zinc, but you also need collagen. You have
to have collagen to build bone or to maintain bone.
So as I take the collagen to heal, the collagen's
also great for my skin, my hair, my nails, my brain,
protecting my brain because of the blood brain barrier is
largely made out of collagen and my bones, but also
my joint tissue. Sixty seven percent of your joint tissue
(22:35):
is collagen and that's what glucosmin and conroyit and attached to.
So once again, if you don't have collagen in the bone,
there's no place for calcium to go to build a bone.
If you don't have collagen in the skin, there's no
place for hyalin uranic guess to go to make skin.
If you don't have collagen in your joint, the glucosmin
and condroytant will do very little because there's no place
(22:56):
to attach to. So you need the collagen to heal
you join. If you have a suit or knee, collagen
will help dramatically. Your spine is made out of collagen,
so your spiders all these separate bones so that you
could bend over and twist, et cetera. They called vertebrae.
They're mostly collagen and Watson bone powder, but they have
to be held in place. So there's these joints called
(23:18):
facet joints that are largely made out of collagen. So
that's the second reason why it's in the bone. But
then in between the vertebrate is cushions called spinal discs.
Spinal discs are water and collagen mostly made out of
water in collagen, So collagen is really good for your spine,
your shoulder tissues. There's so many tissues in the shoulder,
(23:41):
joint ligaments and tendons and muscles, et cetera. They all
depend on collagen for healing. So if you have a
shoulder promp, you need collagen. So I'm taking collagen right
now for healing, and I mix bone powdered with that.
Bone powder will give you a day's supply of calcium
and magnesium. Calcium makes the bone crystals that attaches to
(24:03):
collagen to make bone. Magnesium keeps it in there, so
you need some magnesium for bone, but magnesium wiltso gives
you the energy to create bone. Most of your energy
in your body is depending on magnesium to stabilize it.
Then there are other nutrients in there, like vitamin D
and vitamin K. What does vitamin D do. Vitamin D
(24:27):
makes calcium available for the bone, but it's vitamin K
that packs it into the bone. So vitamin D doesn't
make bone, it allows bone to be made. It's the
vitamin K that actually makes the bone by shoving the
calcium into the collagen. So all of that stuff's in
(24:47):
the bone powder. So every day I'm taking collage x HA,
a scoop and a scoop of bone powder. I know
I'm going to heal. I'm going to heal in record time.
These are very clean, very pure, very high quality supplements.
So if you want to build bone, spiral tissue, joint tissur,
(25:08):
skin here, and nails, the whole body, you need collagen.
And if you really want to build bone and have
energy plus lower risk of cancer by many ways. Vitamin D,
vitamin K, magnesium, and calcium all lower risk of cancer
by the way, all different cancers. Take the bone powder
with collagen every day, You'll rebuild your entire body. I
(25:31):
mean the bone powder in collagen basically, and water makes
your entire body. That and good fats like eating fish.
It's just amazing what you be doing for your body,
for your older body, especially now I only have a
couple of minutes left. I want to emphasize for older people,
especially that probiotics become increasingly important. A young person can
(25:54):
have fermented foods, they do fine, but if any of
the following are in your life, you need a probiotic.
If you have diabetes, you need a probiotic. Diabetes destroys
the good bacteri in your intestines. If you're obese, the
good bacteria are mostly gone. That's why you're starving all
the time. Because when you have good bacteria, it helps
(26:15):
you contain your appetite if you smoke, if you drink alcohol,
if you use a lot of cleaning fluids you know,
like wind decks, et cetera. If if you live in
an area with a lot of air pollution like near
I ninety five or I four ninety five, you need probiotics.
And if you're older, you need probiotics for some crazy reason,
(26:40):
and data on over a million people show this from
various studies. The good bacteria tend to die off and
disappear as we age. We don't know why. Our chemistry changes,
hormones shift, everything changes. So I tell older people, especially,
you need a problem, you really need, especially before you
(27:02):
go to the hospital, because probiotics help your immune system
and probatics help protect you from the infections you could
pick up in the hospital, things like see the facili
from antibatic use in the hospital. So if you go
into a hospital, I would start a probiotic at least
three weeks before if you know you're going in there.
(27:22):
When you take our probatic h X, the basic one,
we have other probatics too, it's going to improve your
immune function within the first couple of weeks. It's going
to improve your digestive tract function within the first two
to three weeks, and over a series of months, it's
going to help with allergies. It's really going to help
with allergies. Okay, I'm out of time. We're going At
(27:45):
the end of this we go to a break they
do to newstin. Doctor Amanda Williams comes on for an hour,
so listen up for her. We're having our Memorial Day sale.

you go into the store, ask for a nutritionnis if
you need one. If you call on the phone, you
can ask for a nutritionist. If you go online, you

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Hello, and welcome to Invite Health Radio. I am dot
org or Amanda Williams, Director of Science at Invite Health,
and I know that you all are now aware of
the fact that we're having our Memorial Day buy one,
get one free sale going on. You just heard that
from the man himself, Jerry Hickey, and so I will
(30:17):
continue to follow in his footsteps and tell you about
some products that you can take advantage of during the
Memorial Day buy one, get one free sale, and last
weekend I had mentioned to you that we are also
at the same time having an overstock sale. So this
is just something to keep in mind if you go
(30:40):
into one of our stores, or if you're ordering online,
or if you give us a call to place your order,
that you can take advantage of those products that are
on the overstock sale. So, without further ado, I want
to get right to it when it comes to talking
about some new things that have been in the news,
(31:01):
different studies that I find to be incredibly relevant, especially
at this time of year, because I don't know about
up there New York. I just heard it's supposed to
warm up for Memorial Day. But down here in South Florida,
the heat is on. We're dealing with, you know, eighty
percent humidity and you know the feels like temperature ninety
(31:23):
seven to ninety eight degrees, So the heat is on.
The concern with excessive fluid loss and dehydration is definitely
heightened during the warmer months, and so that is right
around the corner for all of you up there in
New York. But this is an area that I think
(31:45):
sometimes gets overlooked and hydration is key year round, so
don't kid yourself that, oh, you know, in the winter,
I'm less likely to be dehydrated. Americans as a whole
are usually very dehydrated, and it can, you know, show
in many different ways. Oftentimes, when people are not getting
(32:09):
adequate fluid intake and your fluid choice should be water,
you can have some some different symptoms that perhaps you
you don't even recognize as being the cause for, you know,
coming from dehydration. One of which is being very tired,
(32:30):
and we know that being lethargic, feeling sleepy during the day.
This is a very common occurrence when we are dehydrated.
And many years ago Penn State University actually did an
interesting highlight of this subject and they were looking at
how sleep itself can actually lead to dehydration. So adults
(32:55):
that were not getting adequate sleep and you're supposed to
be getting a eight hours, but they found that, you know,
when you're getting six hours or less, that the likelihood
of being dehydrated is significantly higher. And I remember reading
through this study when it first came out and it
was published in the Sleep Journal, and I thought, well,
(33:18):
that's really, you know, fascinating, and the way that they
were looking at it was hormonally and they were looking
at vasopressin. And vasopressin is released in order to help
regulate the body's hydration status, and so it's released, you know,
throughout the entire day, but also at night time and
so if you're not getting good sleep, they were looking
(33:40):
at this correlation with vasopressin. And so people are getting
up multiple times in the middle of the night, aka
men with prostate issues. And then you're looking and oftentimes
men with prostate issues are limiting their fluid intakes. They're like,
I don't want to drink any fluids, you know after
six p Yeah, because I'm gonna be up, you know,
(34:01):
five times in the middle of the night. So you know,
that's already, you know, setting the tone for dehydration. And
then the disruption of sleep and that disruption of the
hormone vasal press and being released can further intensify that
dehydration effect. So the reason why I bring this up
(34:22):
is because this is the time of year where that
increase in fluid loss is much more profound. And it
doesn't mean that you have to be outdoors and you know,
doing some form of exercise where you notice that you
are sweating. You can lose fluid throughout the day and
(34:44):
not even recognize that. So this is why we always
want to pay attention to our hydration. Luckily for you,
we have so many different formulations in the product line
that easily mix in with water. So whether you're looking
at the Greens HX, the REDSCHX, the Oranges HX, we
have the purples, and all of those different formulations have
(35:07):
their unique properties to them. The Greens HX, for example,
I love this one, and the Organic Greens Plus. Actually
that's the one that I use on a regular basis,
is the Organic Greens Plus. That's a great way to
promote healthy cell detoxification from all the clutter that we're
(35:28):
exposed to on a daily basis. Plus as the probiotic
and I always say, don't let your guard down, you know,
in the late spring and into the summer, because viruses
are still out there and the last thing you want
is to have a summertime bug. So taking a formulation
such as the Greens Organic Greens Plus or that reds
AcHx is a nice way to continue to promote your
(35:52):
immune system with the help of those embedded probiotics. So
that's what makes those three product ducks incredibly powerful. And
then of course you get the wonderful carotenoids that are
in those and both in the greens as well as
the reds. So and I know that you just heard
Jerry talking about the importance of carotenoids and lutine plus
(36:16):
and why those matter. So when you're using the reds
HX or the Greens HX, you're getting over thirty five
different fruit and vegetables, so you get the power of
all of those antioxidants, the vitamins and minerals that they yield,
Plus those carotenoids and caronoids are really great for your
(36:37):
skin during the summertime. They have natural UV protecting effects.
So you know, this is something always to be cognizant of.
Not that I'm opposed to the utilization of sunscreen, but
you have to be very careful with the type of
sunscreen that you choose because we know that, you know,
(37:02):
certain sunscreens have been banned in different parts of the
world because they do so much damage to to the
coral reef system. So think about that, pause, think about
that just for a moment. Humans get into the ocean,
they have sunscreen on and it's killing the coral What
do you think that sunscreen is doing to you? So
(37:24):
that's just something to always think about. If you're going to,
you know, apply sunscreen, then you want to do that
with a product that is clean and free of any
of those parabins or chemicals. We don't want to add
insult to injury. Obviously, we want to protect our skin
from you know, the the harmful effects of UV radiation.
(37:49):
But there's many things we can be doing internally, you know,
increasing our carotenoid intake, taking a product like green t
HX or taking the the green te TX. We know
the power of the EGCG when it comes to giving
our skin that layer of protection from the inside out.
So and we of course we know the benefits of
(38:12):
having a little bit of that. That sunshine on our
skin is to to help maintain healthy vitamin D levels.
So when you're using a sunscreen, obviously you're blocking that
ability for that vitamin D to be absorbed. So no,
always keep these things in mind. If you're if you're
a little confused by you know, what you should be
(38:34):
doing during the summer as far as sun protection. Reach
out to one of our nutritional advisors because that is
what they are there to do. They're there to help
you help yourself. And sometimes there's different topics that maybe
you haven't put much thought into, but now you're thinking
about it, you go, you know what, Yeah, you know,
(38:54):
I do usually wear sunscreen? Am I using a sunscreen
that's clean? Should I be taking green HX because I
definitely need to help my liver filter through some of
these toxins and chemicals that I've been exposing myself to.
And what should I do moving forward to help support
my skin? But I go back to hydration, and so
(39:20):
we have all these different formulations. We have glued to
HX that's on the overstock sale, so remember everything else
that's on the buy one, get one free sale, but
we have certain select products that are on the overstock sale.
So you know, while you're ordering up your ubiquinyl co
Q ten with NADH during the Bogo sale, you can
(39:40):
also stock up on products like glue to HX, which
is a really nice way to enhance your body's ability
to produce glutathione, which is the key antioxidant when it
comes to liver detoxification. So these are all things that
we we like to make sure that we're thinking about
(40:02):
because if we don't support daily detoxification, this starts to
have a trickle down effect to every single system in
the body. So you have a lot of different choices
when it comes to powders. So you take one scoop
of you know, any of those individual powders, and you
can blend some of these powders together too. By the way,
(40:24):
you can take a scoop of reds hx and combine
it with greens AHX. That's completely fine, but we add
that with water. So this is kind of the key
takeaway is to increase our fluid intake so that we're
avoiding that dehydration that we know is so prevalent. And
(40:45):
then we can look at other formulations that are really
geared towards helping the body combat the effects of dehydration.
And alkalizer powder that's gonna be kind of that that
go to for the summertime. We go through a lot
of alkalizer powder down here in our Florida store location.
(41:07):
Our customers down in Florida are well versed when it
comes to you want to go outside even in the summer,
but we have to pay attention to the fact that
the likelihood of having greater fluid loss goes up exponentially
when we hit this time of year. So the utilization
(41:29):
of that alkalizer powder is a great way for us
to keep that pH nice and balanced in our system
so that we're not becoming too acidic. You know that
alkalinity is very, very important, and the alkalizer powder that
Jerry formulated so many years ago is such a nice blend.
(41:49):
It's magnesium and potassium, plus it has beta alanine in
that and we know that beta alanine does a wonderful
job when it comes to regulating lactic acid. If we
have too much lactic acid that builds up, then that
is certainly a problem. Lactic acid can lead to, you know,
(42:10):
significant amount of muscle cramping, muscle aches. Maybe you're you know,
going to sleep at night and then you get the old, uh,
you know, cramp in the foot, something along that lines.
So if you're using the alkalizer powder and you know
you can do this, you know, once or twice a
day during those warmer months, this really helps to kind
(42:31):
of set that tone for proper alkalinity so we're not
becoming too acidic and at the same time, really nourishing
the muscles themselves, in those muscle cells so that they
don't have that that likelihood of trying to seize up
on you and create that pain. And anyone who's had,
(42:52):
you know, a muscle cramp, you know, it's not a
comfortable situation. And I think at this point in probably
all of our lives, we probably had this happen on
more than one occasion. I know myself, this is something
that I certainly experienced when I was in college, and
(43:16):
it was kind of a weird thing because I was like,
why do I keep getting all of these cramps? Like
I would get a cramp in like my calf or
into my foot and I couldn't ever you know, put
my finger on it. But you know, I was young,
so it was just like, well, maybe this is just normal.
But now I look back on I'm like, oh, goodness, gracious,
(43:36):
I was not hydrated whatsoever. You know, when you're in college,
you just kind of get up and you go, and
so hydration was not my thing back then. Now hydration
is definitely my thing. And you know, using a formulation
like alkalizer powder is a great way to avert disaster
when it comes to excessive fluid loss. I'm gonna talk
(43:57):
a little bit more about some of the science behind
alkalizer powder and how the studies show that that combination
of the magnesium, potassium and that beta alanine can really
make a big difference in how our body is responding
to those daily stressors of fluid loss. But I'm looking
(44:18):
at the clock and I realized I must squeeze in
a break, So stick around with me. I will be
right back just after this.

I am doctor Amanda Williams, Director of Science at invite Health.
(45:44):
We're having our Memorial Day buy one, get one free
sale going on right now. We also have that overstock
sale going on. I had mentioned glue to HX. That's
such a great formulation to help to support healthy detoxification
and proper fluid balance as well. Since we're kind of
on that topic right now. I always find that this
(46:05):
time of year is a great time to talk about this.
So the glue to HX has Parsley and spinach extract.
They do a really nice job with helping the liver
with proper detoxification and with good fluid balance. So you
can check that one out when you're checking out on
(46:26):
our website or in our stores, or if you call
us by phone, you know, ask which products are on
that overstock sale as well. So back to alkalizer powder,
we know that you know, according to the National Health
and Nutrition Examination Survey that was conducted so many years ago,
(46:48):
that ninety eight percent of Americans do not get enough
potassium in their diet every single day, and over seventy
percent of Americans do not get adequate magnesium every single day.
So we know that we have to have both potassium
and magnesium when it comes to proper alkalinity. When it
(47:10):
comes to muscle function, certainly electrolyte balance. When you think
of the electrical conduction system of the heart, so heart rhythm,
this is really important. And we know magnesium of course
is needed for over three hundred different biochemical reactions in
the body. So if you have seventy percent of Americans
(47:30):
that are not getting enough magnesium each day, you can
start to see why things go haywire, you know, from
high blood pressure to you know, elevations in blood glucose
because magnesium plays a important role in all of those
different functions. And then when we look at you know,
being able to detoxify and being able to maintain healthy
(47:52):
fluid balance and making sure our muscles aren't seizing up
and we're getting cramps. This is where magnesium is really
very important. So when you look at this and you say, okay, well,
if Americans, you know over ninety percent are not getting
enough potassium, over seventy percent aren't getting enough magnesium, and
(48:12):
you have to have both magnesium and potassium for blood
pressure regulation and heart rhythm. Yeah, these are pretty important
and we can see where symptomatically these things can start
to arise. And this is where most people will notice, Hey,
I don't have enough magnesium and potassium in my system
(48:33):
because I keep getting muscle cramps. So this is why
that alkalizer powder is such a really nice way to
address this. And you know, you can do magnesium as
a standalone. We have our magnesium glycinate, our magnesium situate,
we have the CARDIOHX which has magnesium in it. But
this particular powder, this alkalizer powder, I find to be
(48:56):
so incredibly beneficial during this time of year. And I
always make sure you know as soon as May hits
in South Florida that I have my alkalizer powder on hand,
and I realize that the you know, having the beta
alanine in that this really important amino acid, that that
(49:17):
beta alanine really can help once again with that lactic
acid build up because we don't want that, we don't
want to have excessive lactic acid. And this can happen
just you know, if you exercise too much, you can
get the lactic acid that builds up. So the partnering
or the blending of this formulation that Jerry did so
many years ago continues to prove to be incredibly effective
(49:42):
for folks who turn to that particular product, you know.
Thinking along the lines of high blood pressure and realizing
the true I don't want to call it an epidemic,
but it certainly is problematic here in this country where
(50:03):
where people oftentimes are told, oh, hey, you have high
blood pressure. Here's this medication that you have to take
for the rest of your life, and perhaps you never
really do the deep dive into like, well, what's causing this?
You know, is my high blood pressure being caused because
I'm not getting enough sleep, which is leading to dehydration,
which is throwing off my electrolytes. And I know I
(50:24):
need to have potassium and magnesium to regulate my blood
pressure and my heart right so and the rhythm of
the heart as well. Maybe I fall into that category
of being one of the ninety percent of Americans not
getting enough potassium or one of the seventy percent of
Americans not getting enough magnesium. Maybe this is where I
need to start. So it's always interesting. Now there can
(50:48):
be other reasons. You know, endothelial dysfunction where the lining
of the blood vessels themselves are so dysfunctional in a
sense that this is what is leading to hypertension. But
we also know that through lifestyle modifications and doing the
right thing as far as adherence to a Mediterranean diet
(51:11):
and getting in the right nutrans to allow the body
to really function in the way it is such designed
that this can in and of itself help with blood
pressure control. And we also know that testing your blood
pressure at home is one of the best things that
(51:32):
you can do. So if you're listening and you have
high blood pressure and you are not testing your blood
pressure at home on a regular basis, I encourage you
to do. So. The science is out there. They've done
enough clinical research trials to show this that people who
have hypertension who fear taking their blood pressure, will struggle
(51:54):
to have healthy blood pressure readings. Most people have heard
of white coat hypertension where you're going in to see
your doctor and you're like, oh gosh, you know, every
time I see my doctor, my blood pressure goes up.
So right there, we have already kicked in our adrenal
system and all of the different hormones that are released
(52:14):
from the adrenal glands to kind of in a sense,
fast track the blood pressure dysregulation. So there's many things
that that we can be doing. And CARDIOHX is such
an effective formulation that Jerry came up with so many
years ago, we've never made any modifications to it because
(52:36):
it's so effective. So what he did in this product
is he partnered up magnesium Touring and Hawthorn extract. So
and I remember when I came on board I Invite
many many years ago, and I was looking through all
the different products and of course incredibly impressed with these formulations.
But the cardioa CHECKS to me was one that the
(52:59):
death stood out because understanding the importance of touring and
why touring matters, why we have to have tourine for
for proper regulation of so many different functions in the
body and to see this partnered up with the magnesium
and then understanding that hawthorne extract works as a cardiotonic
(53:23):
so it helps the the proper pumping mechanism within the heart,
which is really very important. If we're not getting proper
pumping of the heart, then this can make the heart
muscles themselves overwork. And if you get overworking of your
heart muscles, this can create the problem with high blood pressure.
(53:46):
So and it can also lead to to other issues
such as you know, ventricular enlargement. We don't want that
to happen either. I always say the heart is the
one muscle in the body that you don't want to
to enlarge. You know, it's fine if your biceps get bigger,
but we don't want our heart to enlarge. So we
want to have a healthy, functioning heart. And through the
(54:09):
action of hawthorn extract, we can certainly see how that works.
And actually in European countries to this day, hawthorn is
used as a prescription medication for heart failure and other
cardiovascular disease states, and we know how effective hawthorn extract is.
(54:32):
Like I said, it works in a sense as a cardiotonic.
It has very powerful amounts of oligomeric pro anthocynodens. You
oftentimes will hear us talk about OPC's on this show
in the setting of grape seed extract. But we also
know that Hawthorn has a high amount of OPCs, so
(54:53):
it helps to fight off the oxidative stress that can
occur within the circulator system, and it's very supportive to
the endothelial lining and the way that the contractility or
that pumping mechanism has to occur within the heart. So
this is why Hawthorne has such a powerful amount of
(55:17):
research behind it. I said, then you're looking at touring,
and touring is you know, the most abundant amino acid
found in the body. And we know that levels of
touring diminish with age, as many things do. But we
know that if we're losing touring on a consistent regular basis,
(55:41):
that's a big issue. And you know, it's estimated that
you know, good eighty ninety percent of people who if
they were to test their touring levels, that those levels
would be in that deficient range. And we certainly can
see how touring has been even looked at as like
(56:01):
an anti aging amino acid, and rightfully so, we can
see how it has these protective effects to the end
caps of your chromosomes, the telomeres, and we certainly can
see how it has this positive impact on the cardiovascular
system from studies showing how it can lower blood pressures,
(56:21):
the lowering of cholesterol. Certainly, one of the impressive things
with touring is the way in which it can help
to regulate the inflammatory response system. We know that chronic
low grade inflammation is that driving cause for every single
chronic disease state out there. So if we're dealing with
(56:44):
let's just say, diabetes and high blood pressure and the
too often go hand in hand, and we have blood
cholesterol levels and our blood pressure and our blood sugar,
then it's very advantageous to take tourine, taking CARDIOAHX. Maybe
you go in to invite or you're on our website
(57:05):
invite heealth dot com, and you say, okay, you know,
I'm thinking of heart health, I'm thinking of something for
natural support for blood pressure. I'll use the CARDIOAHX. But
I always like to explain all of the many ways
that these formulations are working for you, the side benefits,
as I always say, and we know, even when it
comes to to cognitive function, touring is so critical for
(57:28):
you know, the excitable tissues in our body, which is
why it's so essential for heart health as well as
for brain health. And so if we have a touring deficiency,
then you can start to recognize, Okay, well maybe this
is why you know c reactive protein level is elevated,
or I'm dealing with issues such as type two diabetes
(57:52):
or metabolic syndrome. But yet, if I take the CARDIOAHX,
which is going to be giving me touring back into
my system, at the same time, it's helping with my
blood pressure regulation through the action of the hawthorn and
that magnesium magnesium is working to allow for proper vasodilation
so that the blood vessels themselves can open up so
(58:15):
you get optimal blood flow through those This is what
makes the cardioa jack such a powerhouse. Now, how should
you take it? This really depends It depends on you know,
what are your goals for your blood pressure? You know,
are we dealing with more of a significant elevation and
blood pressure? Is this just something that's you recognize that
you have high stress and so you want to manage
(58:37):
blood pressure. That way, then perhaps taking two tablets a
day would be advantageous for other folks that maybe taking
two tablets twice a day. This is when you want
to personalize this. Talk to one of our nutritional experts.
We will help guide you as to how to use
all of our formulations the proper way for you. So
I do need to squeeze in a quick break, stick
(58:58):
around with me. I will be right back just after this. Hi,

Seven two, or go to Invite Health, Invite Health, Get healthy,
Stay healthy, and welcome back Invite Health Radio. Happy Saturday morning,
Holiday weekend. And I know that the weather's starting to
(01:00:19):
break there a little bit. You get your your good
days and your bad days, but you know that you're
gonna have those warmer, hot summer days right around the corner.
So we always want to be prepared for that. So
that's why using formulations such as red zachas or the
greens achax or the oranges achacks, any of those powdered formulations,
(01:00:41):
it's making you add that powder to water, which means
we're increasing our daily hydration. We can look at that
alkalizer powder with the beta alanine. You know, maybe you
are more to the active side, and you know, you know,
during this time of year, you get out and maybe
you're riding your bike or you're jogging or whatever activity
(01:01:04):
that you do at a greater clip when the weather
is more agreeable with you taking that alkalizer powder. Very
very good choice. But even if you're out, you know,
just doing yard work, that can be quite the workload.
You know, we should never be dismissive to things like that. Now,
(01:01:26):
there's been some other interesting studies that have come out,
one of which I wanted to mention because you know,
I think at this point most folks who are listening
to this show no that vitamin D is technically a hormone.
So you have all these different receptor sites found throughout
the body, which is why supplementation with vitamin D is
(01:01:48):
so important. Realizing just kind of in that same setting
of potassium and magnesium and not getting enough of those
from your diet. We can see the same thing with
vitamin D, and this is why vitamin D deficiencies and
insufficiencies exist at such a high rate globally and also
(01:02:13):
here in the US. And so they've been doing a
study for many years now called the Vital Study. This
is a randomized controlled trial and in the American Journal
of Clinical Nutrition. They were looking at some of the
data points and This was research done at mass General
(01:02:34):
and Medical College of Georgia. And what was really impressive
they said, you know, vital itself is the first large scale,
long term, randomized trial to show that vitamin D supplements
protect telomere's and preserve that telomere length. Now that's something
(01:02:55):
that should be you know, on every nightly news channel,
but you won't hear it, but you're hearing it here.
So we've talked about rizveritrol. You've heard Jerry and myself talk,
you know, all about the benefits of trans rasveratrol, how
it protects our telomeres. This is why risveratrol has been
(01:03:16):
touted for the past two three decades as that predominant
anti aging supplement. We know it goes beyond that. We
know all of the many benefits that go along with
risveratrol supplementation, especially if you're using risveratrol max. I mean,
come on, you're not going to find a stronger risveratrol
(01:03:37):
in the market. You're just not. We give you two
hundred milligrams of trans rasveratrol for every serving. I mean,
that's like mind blowing. You know, if you were to
look at just a standard risveratrol extract that you can
find at a vitamin store. Maybe you're getting twenty twenty
five milligrams, so that we use two hundred, two hundred milligrams.
(01:04:04):
And remember the original studies on risveratrol so many years
ago looked at how the anti aging effects of trans
risveratrol starts to occur once we hit about twenty milligrams
per day, so we're giving you two hundred plus. It
has the OPCs with the grape seed extract and that
(01:04:25):
corsetin so beneficial across the board for regulating inflammation, supporting
the cardiovascular system, the brain blood sugar you name it are.
Resveratrol max is one of those products that I say,
if you're gonna select a power antioxidant to include into
your daily supplementation routine, resveratrol max that's the one that
(01:04:47):
you want to choose. You'll hear Jerry talk about how
he uses it. He takes it at night. He looks
at it as like a little brain scrubber, and it's true.
I mean it can go in and find a lot
of the neuroinflammation and neurotoxins that can build up, so
it can help to kind of go in and dust
everything off, and sometimes having a good dusting in the
in the nogin is not a bad idea. But back
(01:05:09):
too to this study with vitamin D, Like, oh my goodness,
vitamin D they're saying is anti aging because it's protecting
the telomeres. I mean, this is such a massive statement
for these researchers to look at. And what they did
(01:05:30):
is they they assessed through a double blind, placebo controlled
trial supplementation of vitamin D three giving people two thousand
I use per day or placebo. They also had them
taking one gram of omega three fatty acids per day,
so fish oil, and then they tracked them over five
(01:05:54):
years and they were looking at the telomere lengths at
the beginning of this study. Then so they had the baseline.
Then they looked at it at two years in and
then at four years and they said, compared to taking
the placebo, the group that was taking vitamin D supplements
significantly reduced telomere shortening over that four year span. That
(01:06:21):
is really important for us to realize and to say
to ourselves, do I even know what my vitamin D
level is? Has my doctor ever tested it?
Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Am?
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
I assuming perhaps that my doctor does test my vitamin
D level, but I have no idea what that is. Yeah,
your doctor's not testing vitamin D. Let's just put that
one out there. For all of the years I've been
doing this, folks and all of the blood years, they
(01:06:56):
come in and they say, got through this with me.
You shouldn't give my advice, blos. It's a rare thing
that I come across someone who sends me their standard
(01:07:19):
blood testing that their doctor ordered, or vitamin D is included.
So unless you asked for it and your doctor agreed,
probably begrudgingly, or if you're seeing a functional medicine doctor,
functional medicine doctor, of course they're going to test this.
But many people are not seeing functional medicine doctors, and
there's not that many of them out there. And then
(01:07:42):
sometimes they're cost prohibitive because they don't take insurance and
you know, so there's many different factors there. But the
important thing is is that we need to know what
our vitamin D level is because remember this is a hormone.
So if we have receptor sites found throughout the body
and we don't have enough of said things aka vitamin D,
(01:08:03):
then how do those messages? Remember, the hormones are chemical messengers,
so how are those messages being sent throughout the body?
They're not, and this is what can lead to so
many issues. So we have to shift focus of thinking
of vitamin D only in that setting of bone health.
(01:08:26):
And I would wager TI bet if most folks out
there went and talked to their doctor and you said
what is the purpose of vitamin D, they would not say, well,
it's for anti aging. It's a hormone. It helps with
heart rhythm, it helps with blood pressure, it helps with
(01:08:48):
all aspects of your daily life. They're not gonna tell
you that. They're going say it's important for your bones.
So this is just where we're at. But you are
well informed, so you know this. So we look at
this study and we say, wow, this is really a
statement that vitamin D should be looked at as an
(01:09:10):
anti aging supplement. And this is key. We know that
when it comes to maintaining healthy vitamin D levels, there's
a lot of different factors that can play into this.
We know that you know, concurrent low magnesium levels can
lead to problems with low vitamin D absorption. So let's
(01:09:33):
go back in time here and go hmm, seventy percent
of Americans do not get adequate magnesium each day. And
we know that ninety percent of Americans aren't getting enough
vitamin D every day, so we're already up against us.
We already are dealing with low intake of magnesium. We
(01:09:54):
need to have magnesium for proper absorption of vitamin D.
We don't get enough vitamin D from our diet alone.
So you can see how all of this in totality
leads to these significant issues. You know, telling yourself that
you're gonna get enough vitamin D just from the sun alone.
We already mentioned if you're using sunscreen, you're not going
(01:10:15):
to be absorbing your vitamin D. But we also know
that vitamin D is an oil, so it has to
hit your skin, and the rate at which it absorbs
in is going to vary from one person to the next.
And I'm down here in South Florida and there are
some people who are sun lovers. They will hang out
at that beach all day or beepool side, and their
(01:10:36):
goal is to get that you know, Florida sunshine tan.
And they'll come in and they'll talk to me. They'll say,
did my vitamin D level test? And it came back
that it's low. How is that possible. I'm in the
sun almost every day. Well, here's the kicker with that.
Because it's an oil and it hits your skin, we
(01:10:57):
have to look at how long it takes for your
body to actually process that vitamin D and make it active.
So if you jump into the pool, or you get
into the ocean, or you're hanging out at the beach
all day and then you head on home and you
hop in the shower, you may have washed away much
(01:11:19):
of that vitamin D. I said, then if you have
sunscreen on and then forget about it. But in any event,
we know that vitamin D is critical. And to recognize
this and to really say I need to do better
for myself, I need to make sure that I am
having my serum vitamin D level tested at least once
(01:11:41):
a year so I can know how much I should
be supplementing with. Do I need a thousand I use
a day? Do I need three thousand? Do I need
six thousand? And this isn't based off of age or sex.
This isn't oh, well you're a you know, fifty year
old male. This is how much vitamin D you need.
(01:12:01):
This is an individual variable, so there's many different factors.
There can be genetic reasons as to why your body
has disrupted vitamin D absorption. So this is why working
with one of our nutritional experts is the key to
success here because we want to make sure that we
always have adequate vitamin D. You know another study that
(01:12:26):
came out, it was in the Advanced Science Journal looking
at exercise and vitamin D levels. So this, I think
is kind of another kind of long term study. It's
called the Vita X It's a randomized trial that was
conducted looking at serum vitamin D levels and correlating that
(01:12:50):
with exercise. Now, some of this was looking at the
direct impact of sunshine. You know, if you're outside, you're hiking,
or you're you know, biking, is this going to lead
to more consistent year round vitamin D levels? So these
are always things just to be cognizant of and to recognize.
(01:13:14):
So during this sale you should go through and look
and say, okay, what am I already taking. I'm taking
the Invite Performance Multi Vitamin, I'm taking the Crill Oil Advanced,
I take the risveritrial max every day. Am I taking
Vitamin D three and if not, how much should I
be taking? So unless you go and have your blood
(01:13:34):
level tested, then it's kind of just a more of
a sense of guessing game. But I would give you
these little bits of information if we're taking the guessing
game approach. I have found that through all of my
many years of doing this, the average person is going
(01:13:54):
to require between two thousand and five thousand international units
of vitamin D supplemented into their daily routine in order
to maintain healthy serum blood levels. So on your blood
test it should at the low end, you know, like
fifty nanograms per mili leader, but optimally we want to
(01:14:16):
hit like around seventy seventy five. So if you can
consistently keep your vitamin D level around seventy to seventy
five nanograms per milli leader on that test result, this
is a wonderful thing. So for your immune system, for
brain connectivity, for heart rhythm, for blood pressure control, blood
sugar control, this is the this is the optimal range
(01:14:40):
that we want to be at. So I have many
other things that I would like to discuss. Because as
I mentioned, everything is on sale. Our Memorial Day sale
is going on right now, so you can go into
one of our stores. We're open on Monday as well,
so if you can't make it in today then you

final break, so stick around with me. I will be
right back just after this.

Or go to invite health dot com, Invite Health, Get Healthy,
Stay Healthy, and welcome back Invite Health Radio. I am
doctor Amanda Williams. We are having our sale so you
(01:16:29):
can take advantage of all of those wonderful discounts. Remember
we also have the overstock sale going on, so you
can take a formulation like glue to jax, which has
dimethyl glysine. I oftentimes talk about the study that came
out was publishing the Diabetes Journal, Okay, And I don't
say this to be sarcastic. I say this to like,
(01:16:51):
how is this possible? How is it possible that in
the Diabetes Journal. This is a large journal that mind you,
anyone who's in medicine, whether you're talking internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinologist, cardiologist, neurologist, nephrologists,
(01:17:13):
it doesn't matter. We know the prevalence rate of diabetes
in this country. So I look at it like every
doctor should be, in a sense kind of an expert
on diabetes. But yet you can't even get doctors to
test fasting insulin levels. And remember, diabetes is an issue
(01:17:34):
with insulin, so they always just like to fixate on
glucose and not ever look at the insulin level. So
interestingly enough, but back in twenty fifteen in the diabetes
journals we're talking ten years ago, they published their findings
on a Vanderbilt University Harvard and they said, if you
(01:17:59):
have dimethyl glycine deficiency, the likelihood of you developing type
two diabetes is quite high. So dimethyl glycine is in
the gluta HX, so it helps with liver detoxification because
we know that one of the functions of dimethyl glycine
(01:18:22):
is to produce glutathione. But we know that our body
uses dimethyl glycing every moment of every day in all
of these different metabolic pathways when it comes to detoxification,
when it comes to neurotransmitter production, so for mood as well,
(01:18:44):
and if you have low levels of dimethyl glycine, then
this makes sense as to why perhaps you are feeling
the way that you feel. We know that we do
not get at a quit exposure to to dimethyl glycine
and the body has a direct impact due to that
(01:19:09):
low dimethyl glycine because you need it for all these
like forty different functions. And if we can't make enough
dimethyl glycine as we get older, then you start to
see that trickling effect. And why you know you have
a problem with cognitive function, why we're having problems with
blood pressure, why we have problems with kidney function, we
(01:19:31):
can look at dimethyl glycine levels being low. So in
our product line, you can use glue to HX, which
is on the overstock sale right now. But we also
have oral coq ten And this is kind of one
of those formulations that I like to have on hand
for myself and my own supply because I use our
ubiquinol on a daily basis, So I use the ubiquenol
(01:19:53):
with NADH that's what I supplement with. But I always
have oral coq ten on hand two because it has
the dimethyl glycine added into it. So it's a chewable
tablet and it's a really nice thing to have when
you're on the go. I recognize that, you know, if
(01:20:13):
you are, you know, pushing yourself to the to the
limits with work or you know, whatever, it is that
you're doing, maybe you're traveling or whatnot, refueling our body.
I would say COQ ten is like the gasoline that
you're putting in your car, so to be able to,
you know, open up your jar of oral coenzyme Q
(01:20:35):
ten and take one of those chewable tablets to allow
the bloodstream to start to increase coq ten levels. And
at the same time, you're also getting dimethyl glycine, so
it's helping to you know, fight off all of the
different free radicals and oxidative stress. So it's a great product.
So you may want to check that one out during
(01:20:56):
the Memorial Day sail. Even if you're already using the
invite ubiquenol with NADH or the ubiquenol sixty milligram, you
can still use the oral coenzyme q ten with dimethyl
glysine because it's giving you all of these many different
benefits just across the board. I want to mention another
(01:21:18):
study because you hear me so often talk about the
Mediterranean diet and adherence to a Mediterranean diet over and
over and over. It goes back to the basics. It
goes back to Hippocrates. Let food be thy medicine. We
have to recognize this, we have to realize this, we
have to live this. And I talk about ultra process
(01:21:40):
foods and the damaging effects of ultra processed foods, talk
about how we have to try to break ourselves free
of having, you know, fast food brain just saying I
don't have time, I'll just eat this food over here.
They have marketed, you know, the fast food industry to
us for so many decades now in this country, and
(01:22:01):
for many folks, you've almost convinced yourself that, you know what,
there's probably some health benefits to eating at a fast
food place. No, this is not the case. But this
is a fascinating study that came out of Australia. Researchers
in Australia, we're looking at fast food and how fatty
meals coming from fast food establishments rapidly weaken the gut microbiome.
(01:22:29):
So remember, you are what you eat. And this is
a big problem. This is not something that is new.
We know that if we are feeding our body with
these types of foods that are chemical laden, that are
high and saturated fats, this is going to create havoc.
It's going to drive up inflammation. But What was fascinating
(01:22:52):
in this particular study was that the the intake of
regular fast food, so say you're going and you're having
fast food two, three, four times out of the week,
that it's that chronic exposure to those foods that was
leading to significant breakdown of that microbiome and the loss
(01:23:15):
of integrity within the intestinal lining. So when people think
about leaky gut and you look at how many individuals
are dealing with conditions such as irritable bowel, but the
problem is is you're getting this double whammy effect because
not only are we weakening that barrier at the same time,
(01:23:37):
we are basically creating an environment where are normal inflammatory
and immune system response is dwindling down at the same time.
And this is kind of the takeaway from this study is,
you know, we need to have better dietary guidelines. We
(01:23:57):
need to be able to protect our gut, We need
to have better nutrition in order to avert so many
of these chronic inflammatory diseases that exist. So there's a
reason why I zero in so much on the multimodal
approach to wellness, and it has to start first with
(01:24:18):
the foods. We have to look at all factors we
have to say, no, am I stressed? Is my sleep disrupted?
Is my disrupted sleep causing dehydration which is now throwing
my electrolytes off, which is now creating a problem with
heart rhythm, or blood pressure or blood sugar control. So
everything is interconnected and we have to be able to
(01:24:39):
connect those points and when we do that, we can
achieve our wellness goals. And that's what we do at
Invite Health. So I encourage you during this sale not
only stock up on your favorites and also get some
of those overstock items, but also reach out to us
if you have questions or you need guidance as to
how to use these formulas. If you have question, thanks
