Welcome to Invite Radio. You're about to receive responsible, life
changing information on health and nutrition. You'll hear from Invite
professionals who are leaders and targeted and anti aging nutrition.
Get ready for tomorrow's Nutritional Science Today right here, right now.
Good morning, happy Saturday. Thank you for joining me this
Saturday morning. It's April. The good weathers right around the corner.
(00:37):
In any event, it's always an honor and privilege to
be speaking with you. I represent Invite Health, which makes
really super high quality nutritional supplements, and that's what we're
going to discuss. The best of the best. The promise
you're clean, they're fresh. They're based on ingredients Houston human
clinical trials that have value, that are safe that we
(00:58):
know how much to give you. You know, once they
take an ingredient and do a lot of research on
it in human clinical trials, we know that it's safe.
We know how much to give, we know what to
expect as benefits. So that's pretty cool, and that's what
Invite does. It's all really based on science. So I
(01:19):
want to talk about krill oil today. Krill oil is
an alternate way of getting fish oils. And when I
say that, well, a lot of people have switched to
krill oil, and there's a number of reasons why they switched.
And don't get me wrong, fish oils are great and
eating fish is great. I personally take krill oil, and
there's a couple of reasons why. First of all, it's
(01:39):
a better experience. You don't get fishburbs, and it's really
easy to swallow. And the reason for that is the
fish oils are super well absorbed. They're really well absorbed
compared to traditional fish oil capsules, and because of that,
you can get a lot more impact out of a
much smaller capsule. Now, generally when they talk about fish oils,
(02:03):
they talk about heart health, and there's a lot to
be said about that, and I will go into that briefly,
but I'm going to talk about fish oils and brain
health and if you look at krill a little more specifically,
but both fish oils and krill do this. They help
really mitigate or assuage, you know, calm down aging at
(02:26):
a brain. They block inflammation in the brain. Really, while
you never want inflammation in the brain. Think of if
you had a splinter and you couldn't remove it right
away and to start to swell and get all infected
and painful. Imagine having that in the brain. Well, you
don't want splinters in your brain. You don't want pockets
of inflammation in the brain. Fish oil and krill oils
(02:48):
get rid of that. So it really helps slow down
or even block aging in the brain and actually makes
your brain work much better. And that's what we're focusing
on this morning. It reduces inflammation in the brain. But
they've shown in human clinical trials that fish oils are
really important for the volume of your brain. You know,
(03:11):
your brain can shrink with age, and taking fish oils
or eating fish or taking krill oil helps prevent your
brain from shrinking with age. And it especially helps protect
your hippocampal region from aging and shrinking and helps keep
it functioning. And why is that important, Well, that's the
really trapdoor to your memory. Your hippocampus is where you
(03:34):
store what you learn today in your brain. So if
you learn somebody's name. It goes into your hippocampus, so
it's really important for your memory. And the hippocampus really
significantly can shrink and age and decay with with age,
and fish oils and krill oil are a way to
prevent that. They're really important for the size of the hippocampus.
(03:56):
So why would they be important, Well, your brain's made
out of water and fish oils, basically, I mean that's
The two fish oils that you get in both krill
or fish oil capsules are called EPA and DHA. They're
the most important and are the most well known. They're
not the only but they are really important ones. And
these two fish oils create your brain. Brain tissue has
(04:17):
the highest content of DHA in your entire body, and
DHA and EPA are the two major building blocks of
your brain. I really want to emphasize that. But if
you combine these two fish oils with the other ingredients
in our krill oil, because our krill ool is a
(04:39):
little better than the other kriyllos, it makes your brain.
It actually makes your brain. It creates your brain, but
it also allows your brain to work to function, and
it also protects your brain. So wat's in krill. There's
fish oils, you get EPA, DHA, and I don't want
to diminish their importance. So if you're taking fishails, you're fantastic.
(05:04):
It's just krill is a little bit better. You're better
off of krill. Not just do you not get fishburps,
Not just is it easier to swallow. So it's a
much better experience. But krill has the fishays, the EPA
and dha, and our krill is richer in these than
other krills naturally. But you also get phosphatizes, You also
(05:27):
get coaling, You also get seering, You also get inocetol.
You also create get ethanolamine. These create your brain cell.
These create the cellular membrane of your brain cell. So
what's the cellular membrane. It's the housing, It's what what's
on the outside of your brain cell. And that has
(05:48):
that has to function and with age. The cellular membrane
on the outside of your brain cell stiffens, it doesn't
work well. Information and energy is not flowing easily. It's
locked is resistance. So when you get a krill oil,
this allows the proper flow of energy in a brain.
(06:09):
The proper flow of information contact between brain cells. This
allows you to think, This allows you to learn, This
allows you to remember, This allows you to react quickly.
But you also need these believe it or not, to
stay strong. But this is really important for aging people
like myself I'm seventy one, to stay strong and to
(06:31):
maintain good balance. You need these for all of these things.
So function with the fish oils, to krill oil, sel
to cell connection, sel to cell communication, the proper release
of NERD transmitters energy flow. So you need this to function.
You need this to create your brain. You cannot create
(06:54):
your brain. You can't create your brain with peanut fat
and butter and margarine and corn oil. You need fish
oils to create your brain. If you lack fish wels,
your brain will shrink more than the person next to
you who's getting fish oils. So if you take I'm
seventy one, If you take somebody in their seventies or
(07:16):
eighties or sixties or fifties or forties, and they're getting
fish oils whatever way they get it, I prefer crill,
but I also eat fish, their brain will maintain its size.
Where the person not getting fish oils, regardless of their age,
their brain will shrink, so that becomes really important because
(07:37):
all of our brains tend to shrink with age. The
fish weels keep it flexible, adaptive, functioning well, reactive, a
good mood we'll talk about that because fish wels support
the mood pathways in your brain, so you don't get depressed,
because depression is more common in aging people. A reason
(07:59):
for that is less fissuoils, less brain volume, the brain
is not functioning well. So the fissuols make your brain.
They allow it to function, but they also protect your brain.
They create prostaglandins that reduce inflammation in the brain. They
create neuroprotectins and resolvins that pluck inflammation out of the
(08:21):
brain and protect the brain from harm. But they also
create the protective the protective coating on your brain cells,
kind of like an armor coating. It's kind of like
armor role for your brain cell. But in addition with
the krill oil, you're getting a very powerful brain antioxidant
called astaxanthin. It's kind of a pinkish color. It's really
(08:44):
good for your brain. Now, so krill oil, I know
it's great for my heart, and there's heart attacks in
my family. I'd rather not have a heart attack. I
certainly don't want to stroke I we'll get into that
in a minute. But the krill oil helps protect your
brain and support your memory and your thinking and your logic.
(09:06):
It improves your mood by supporting mood related pathways in
the brain, but it also improves brain circulation. I don't
think a lot of people understand this about the krill oil,
because it reduces inflammation and constriction of the blood vessels
in your neck that supply to brain. So the brain
gets more oxygen oxygen rich blood, and the brain gets
(09:29):
more nutrient rich blood. And like I said, it improves
your mood because it supports your mood related pathways. Now
let's talk about the heart. Krill oil is really good
for the heart, so as fish oils, they're both really
good for the heart. I don't think krill oil is
better for the heart than fish oils, but I think
(09:49):
krill oil is better for the brain than fish oils,
so that's important. So krill oil it does this better
than fish oil. Actually, it raises the good cholesterol the
HDL a little bit like two points. But those two
points are important because it also makes the HDL work better.
(10:10):
See the HDL works when it's loaded with phosphatidle searing,
and the fichials in the krill push the phosphatitle searing
founding krill. They're all founding krill into the HDL to
prevent inflammation in your heart, So that's really an important point.
Plus they give the HDL the negative charge to pull
(10:32):
cholesterol away from your heart's arteries. So krill oil versus
fish oils fiicials don't raise HDL. To my knowledge, I've
never seen a study where fiicials have raised HDL, and
I've looked at a lot of studies officials krill raises
the HDL, but it also makes it work properly to
help prevent clogging in the arteries in the heart and
(10:53):
also to reduce inflammation in the heart. Now that might
be a major reason why krill is better than fisuois
for reducing inflammation in the heart. It reduces something called HSCRP. HSCRP,
highly sensitive c reactive protein, tells you if you're clogging
your arteries in your heart and if you're going to
(11:15):
have a stroke or a heart attack. Because when HSCRP
is elevated a bit. My HSCRP is in the basement.
It's like as low as it can get. It's like
zero point three. It's unbelievable. One is normal. So minus
point three, which is unbelievable for a seventy one year
old male. Come on living in New York. Come on,
(11:36):
that's great. So my inflammation in my heart is very low.
This inflammation, if it's one, is normal. It's not charming,
it's not hurting. But if it goes to two, you're
clogging your heart, You're developing herding the arteries. And if
it goes to three, it's making that plaque in your
heart's arteries inflamed and unstable. And when it's unstabilized, if
(11:59):
it's dc abilized, it can break off and cause a
stroke or a heart attack. So, by virtue of krill
oil really doing a dynamic job of lowering inflammation in
the heart, it really is blocking your risk to a
degree of a stroke or a heart attack. Too horrible things.
It also lowers triglycerides as good as fish wails. Fishuals
(12:21):
are good for lower triglycerids. The krill is as good
as that. Triglycerides are a different kind of fat than cholesterol.
And triglycerides really damage your liver, really cloud the arteries
in your heart, and really cause a stroke. So krill
is very good at lowering triglycerids. It lowers that bad
cholesterol a little bit, it raises the good one and
(12:42):
makes it work better. But we know that fishwalls, according
to numerous human clinical studies, fish walls help prevent sudden
cardiac death and heart seizures. So the first product that
I'm talking about on this program is krill oil, and
(13:02):
the vit krill oil comes from the Scandinavia. It's actually
fished off of the Antarctic, and it's very clean sea okay,
but it's made in Scandinavia, Norway. To be exact, it's
been using over thirty human clinical trials that are published
(13:24):
in peer reviewed medical journals. These are stead of the art,
gold standard human clinical trials, double blinded, placepic controlled randomized
human clinical trials. So we know that our krill oil works.
But it's also the freshest krill oil. It's the richest
clean crill oil in all of these ingredients, and it's
the cleanest, cleanest, cleanest crill oil. You don't have to
(13:45):
worry about plastic sizes of mercury or any of that
garbage being in the very clean stuff. So that's why
I take to Krill Oil every morning with my breakfast.
So Krillo is the first thing on special. Now, any
product I speak about on this half, all of the
products I speak about on this part of the show,
you buy one, you get the second one half price.

Okay, Welcome back, Jerry Hickey, Happy Show. I'm a nutritional pharmacist,
licensed pharmacist in any event. What Krill oil can do
for your brain Macula Advanced our capsule can do for
your eyeballs and your vision, So Macula advanced. I spent
(16:18):
an awful long time creating this product, and then I
got input from a couple of friends I have. One
was an optometrist, but the other guy was an ophthalmologist
medical doctor. So I got a lot of input. But
I did a tremendous amount of due diligence to make
this formula. And later on they did after I made
the formula, they did the ARID study and they came
(16:41):
out and said, oh, these are the ingredients you need
for your eyeballs, for your brain, for protecting your aging
of your eyeballs. So I was pre ARIDS study. The
ARID study put on the map that these things you
need for your vision as you grow older. So you
(17:01):
need the ingredients in Macula for healthy vision, you need
it to protect your eyes, you need it for visual acuity.
They've shown that these ingredients you can actually see more
clearly further. You can see further more clearly, which is
the opposite of what happens you after your fifties. You
have better visual stamina, like if you're on your computer
(17:24):
or your cell phone or playing a video game or
whatever you're doing. Target practice. Whatever it is, your eyes
will and your brain will not get tired. That prevents
your brain and eyes from getting tired, because when your
eyes get tired, your brain gets tired. So visual acuity,
visual stamina, stamina. But this is really important recovery from
(17:44):
glare a lot of older people, you know recently. I
love to talk about this because it was the most
amazing thing in my life, other than my kids and
my wife and stuff like that. Of course, you know,
the basic wonderful things of life. But the most wonderful
thing I did with my wife. We drove around the country.
We literally put ten thousand miles on our Honda CRV
(18:05):
SUV and we went to about seven or eight national
parks because one of them we just drove through, so
I don't really consider it. So we went to seven.
We really went to seven and Night and stuff, Joshua
Tree and yellow Stone and I mean it was just amazing.
It was just amazing bad lands we went to. And
(18:31):
I insisted that my wife and I take our macula
every morning with breakfast so our eyes wouldn't get tired
when we were driving, because you know, we drive a
ten thousand miles agoa. We drove through Texas. We drove
through Arizona, we drove through Utah, I mean we drove
all over the place. We drove through South Dakota. I
mean we drove all over the place. It's really important
(18:53):
because when you drive at night, the headlights blind older
people and they can't drive, they can have an accident.
So the ingredients and the Macula advanced protect your eyes
from the glare. You recover faster, so you don't go blind,
you don't get blinded when you're driving at night. But
you also need it for contrast sensitivity. So contra sensitivity
(19:16):
would be you're walking down the basement stairs and it's
not well lit and there might be something on the stairs.
You'd see it better with the ingredients and Immacula advanced.
That's called contras sensitivity. Or a better example might be
your driving and there's a windstorm and a branch blows down,
(19:38):
and you could pick out that branch from the highway easier,
and your headlamps in your headlights because your contrast sensitivity
is better. It's kind of like if I point at
a tree and I say, oh, look at that Look
at that squirrel, and you go, I can't see it
well and you have regular vision. That's contrasensitivity being able
to pick out that blue jay or that squirrel, and
(20:00):
that's contrast sensitivity. But also the Macula Advanced would be
very good for your immune system. These ingredients in the
Macula Advanced are really needed for your immune system, and
they're really needed as your daily antioxidant. If you take
the Macula Advanced, you don't need another antioxidant. This is
(20:23):
a very complete human antioxidant. Now you're getting a lot
of lutin and z is antin in here, So why
is that important? Lutenant z is Antin create the phobia
and your macular tissue. So the macular tissue is kind
of like a catcher's mit, preventing bad things from getting
(20:45):
to the back of the eye and damaging the little
sensitive organs back there. And the phobia it looks like
a little egg yolk, the phobia in your eye, that's
where you really see things out of I mean, so
so important. But the lieutenantcy is antin also nourish the brain.
It turns out they protect your brain. We didn't notice
(21:06):
like fifteen years ago. We know it now. So let's
say you're eating things that have lutinans is anted. You're
eating some corn, you're eating some spinach, you're eating some broccoli,
you're eating some pistachio nuts, you're eating some egg yolk.
The problem is older people like myself do not absorb
(21:27):
enough of these from our food. So there might be
enough to get to the brain, but there's not any
left of it to get to the eyes. So how
do things get to your eyes through your brain? Because
the brain might be a little more important than your eyes,
you know. I it's hard to say, but considering that
in people good vision, they get ninety percent of the
(21:47):
brain information through their vision. But so the circulation to
the brain brings the lieutenants, is antin and the zinc
and stuff like that to the brain. The brain grabs
what it needs and whatever's left over it gets to
the eyeballs. So when you're young, it's easy to get
those things to the eyeballs because the brain has had
really good absorption of these nutrients. As you grow older,
(22:10):
less of these nutrients reach the brain and fewer still
reach your eyeballs. So your brain is not shielded from
inflammation and infections and stuff as well. Well, it's never
really shielded from infections and your eyes just are lacking
and it really affects your vision. Your eyes get tired easier.
(22:30):
Now this becomes very evident if you go on a computer.
If you don't get the ingredients in like the macula,
and you go on a computer, your eyes and your
brain are exhausted within an hour. But if you go
on the ingredients in the macula, you could be on
that computer two or three hours without any consequences, without
feeling tired, without your eyes getting tired, without your brain
(22:52):
getting tired. It really makes a profound difference. So besides
the and and by the way, this is loaded with
the ingredients you need for your brain in your eyes,
and I said zinc. That's another thing. There are things
that you absorb poorly as you grow older. You absorbed
them better when you were younger. That includes the ingredients
in krill oiled officials. That includes zinc, That includes certain
(23:15):
B vitamins, That includes the nutrients that work as protectors
in the brain. The lutin in z is inent and
that you also need for your vision. So you need
extra of these when you grow older. So this is
really when you get the macular advanced state checks. You're
getting good vision protection you're getting good brain protection, you're
getting antioxa protection. You're getting nutrients that you otherwise cannot
(23:41):
get enough of out of your food, even with the
best diet, because it just as hard to absorb out
of food. As you grow older, it gets harder and
harder to absorb these things. And you're getting immune system
benefit because you get a little bit of vitamin AA,
you're getting vitamin C, you're getting vitamin E, and you're
getting zinc. These an NAC. These are very important nutrients
(24:02):
for your immune system. And let me tell you about
that NAC in there. NAC is at amino acid. NAC
easily gets it to your brain because your brain loves it,
and it creates something in your brain that detoxifies the brain,
called glue to thion, but also strongly protects the brain
glut to thion levels. My friend Alan Pressman used to
(24:22):
call this the mother of all antioxidants because it rejuvenates
and resecles all the other antioxidants and it's so powerful.
Glut to Thion strongly shields your brain as strongly shields
your eyes, and as you grow older, you have less
and less gluetithion in your brain and eyes. That's why
the NAC is in there. If you're taking the arid
supplement or our synrum for the eyes, et cetera, I
(24:45):
don't think you're getting NAC at all. You really need
NAC to protect your brain and eyes. It is super
important for shielding the brain and eyes. Pardon me so
so far in the two products on special as the
viy krill human test and human clinical trials published in
major medical journals as a great product, great for your heart,
great for your brain. Needed for your vision by the way,
(25:07):
and your immune system and your muscles and your bones.
And then the Macula Advanced State checks which is good
for your vision, your brain, your immune system, and as
a daily antioxidant protector. Like I said, if you take
the back of Advance, you don't need another antioxidant. This
will fulfill all your antioxidant needs every day. Now I
(25:30):
put Phase two on special today. Phase two is a
starch blocker, but it's real. It's been used in over
twenty human clinical trials published in medical journals and scientific journals.
It comes out of the white kidney bean. But don't
forget the white kidney bean has a lot of starch
in it, so you can't really eat white kidney beans
to lose weight. So the Phase two attaches to a
(25:55):
starts digesting family of enzymes and the alpha malay's family.
And then when you eat something like bread or what
beans or carrots or peas or anything with carbs in it,
you absorb less sugar for the food. Now I say this,
some of you might be on those GLP one blockers.
(26:19):
I'm sorry I said blockers. I meant agonists. They make
GLP one work. You know, the injections where people are
losing weight, they really do work. But this will help it.
This will people want to go outside now and be
in their T shirts. Take the Phase two two capsules
about five minutes before two or three meals a day,
and you'll absorb a lot less sugar and it'll be
(26:41):
easier for you to get trim because being trim is
good for your brain, your heart, your kidneys. It's being
trim is really good for everything. So here's what's on.
Oh and by the way, that that Phase two ingredient
has been stayed at the Mayo Clinic. I mean it's
been stayed all over the place University of Rochester. I mean,
it really works, it really and it doesn't make you nauseous.
(27:05):
So you take the phase two that's from a fasciolamine.
Vulgaris the white kidney bean without the carbs. You don't
get the carbs. You take it before the meal. It
blocks the absorption of the sugar, maybe half the sugar.
And this way you eat a regular meal. You absorb
less sugar. And it can help you with your fat
loss because it's not good to have a lot of fat,
no matter what anybody says, it's not good to have
(27:27):
a lot of fat. It's very bad for your brain,
it's very bad for your heart, very bad for your kidney's,
very bad for your back on your knees. Just not
a good thing. Okay, So here's what's on special because
I am running out of time. Crill oil. Crill oil
helps protect your heart, really helps to lower your risk
of stroke and heart attack by the pathways it affects
in the heart. And krill oil is really important for
(27:49):
your brain, and it's helpful for your vision. You need
these things. You need to put them back in your
body because you're absorbing less from your food. Even if
you eat like salmon three times a week, you're absorbing
less of these ingredients from the salmon. You need to
take a Quillo oil every morning with breakfast. I recommend
two capsules. There's a lot of things in there that
are great for the brain. So it's beyond fishuals for
the brain. It has other ingredients done good for your brain. Now,
(28:10):
I put Phase two to help block the absorption of
sugar and Macula advanced. Use the code when you call
all of these things. You're getting fifty percent off suggested
retail on two bottles. But use the code get an
extra ten percent off whether you call, whether you go

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Those Omega three fatty acids.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
We certainly know that taking the cryloial advanced formulation can
do so much to support not only our heart but
our brain, and today I'm going to focus on stress
and digestion because.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
The two are certainly.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Interlinked, and whenever someone is dealing with stress, they oftentimes
will describe it as being.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
In their gut.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
You know, I feel it my stomach, I feel a
pit in my stomach, And we have to look at
the physiological effects of stress how that has a sharp
impact on every single system in the body. Now, some
folks will experience different daily stressors and maybe you feel
(31:03):
it more in your brain and you can describe it
as brain fog or just feeling mentally fatigued.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
But in any event, we know that the month.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Of April is the National Stress Awareness Month, and we
also know that it's Irritable Bowel Syndrome Irritable Bowel Disease
Awareness Month. So the two certainly go hand in hand.
And we have so many different formulations that can be
incredibly helpful for folks who are dealing with whether it's
(31:35):
kind of like chronic GI issues, maybe it's bloating, heartburn
and digestion. Maybe you do have irritable bowel, and we
have many folks who deal with stress. So I'm going
to talk about different formulations today that can hone in
on that and give us kind of an upper hand
(31:56):
when it comes to to better stress management, and in
turn that will help to support better gi health because
when we have any degree of gut dyspiosis, meaning an
imbalance of healthy bacteria in the gut, this can accelerate
(32:17):
the inflammatory process in the body, and when that happens,
that can worsen any type of condition that you were
dealing with, whether that's arthritis, whether you're dealing with blood
sugar issues such as diabetes or pre diabetes, if you
have a heart condition. So we always want to zero
in on how do we improve upon gut health, and
(32:40):
there are many different things that we can be doing.
It's a comprehensive approach. As I always say, we have
to look at lifestyle modifications and the way in which
our diet is driving so much of this. We have
to look at you know, are we tunes to sedentary?
Are we moving enough? All of these things in totality
(33:02):
make a big difference in how our body is reacting
and responding to to stress and how we actually properly
absorb the foods that we're eating. Now, ideally we're going
to be you know, adhering to a Mediterranean style way
of eating, which is going to incorporate higher fiber. I
was just reading an article actually on a gi surgeon
(33:25):
who treats predominantly colon cancers, and that was.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
One of his main things, and.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
I was actually quite pleased to hear his take on
this that he said, even for himself, what he has
learned through the years is that fiber is so important,
and you know, to try and get enough fiber in
the diet can be very difficult. But you know, he
hit that that benchmark where he said, you know, at
(33:52):
minimum thirty grams of fiber per day in order to
allow the intestinal environment to to really work in the
way that we need it to work. So this is
why adherence to a Mediterranean diet is so important, because
you are going to have a greater exposure to those
fruits and the vegetables, the seeds and the nuts that
(34:13):
yield you that high amount of fibers. So it was
just an interesting little article that I was reading.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
But the fact that he said, oh, you.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Know, thirty grams of fiber, this is the amount that
we need to be taking in each day, I think
is just a testament to what we have known for
so many years. And I think I mentioned this maybe
last week or perhaps the week before in regards to
the fiber intake of folks in Australia and the UK
(34:44):
versus the United States. And while in Australia and the
UK they certainly fall short too, they're hitting around twenty
grams on average per day, Americans do far less than that.
Typical American usually struggles to get ten grams of fiber
(35:05):
per day. So when you look at the bigger, broader
picture when it comes to GI issues and folks who
are dealing with conditions such as irritable bowel disease and IBS,
and we certainly see the rate of colon cancer on
the rise, especially in individuals who.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Are in their forties in this country.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
This is something that we have to recognize and we
have to be more proactive in. So hence, this is
why I'm talking about digestive health today and partnering that
up with stress. According to the American Psychological Association, we
know that stress in this country is incredibly high. You
(35:51):
can look at other parts of the world where, of
course stress levels.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
Can be high. You look at.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Areas where you know there's ongoing wars clearly they're going
to be high stress. But in the United States, when
you look at the statistics, it's really quite alarming. They
say that the prevalence rate of stress in the US
is you know, ticking upwards of seventy five percent of
(36:18):
US adults who report having high amounts of stress in
their life. So you say, okay, well, if you've got
seventy five percent of Americans who are dealing with what
they recognize to be an elevated amount of stress, and
then we partner this up and we say, okay, well,
you know, why is obesity on the rise, Why is
(36:40):
non alcoholic fatty liver disease on the rise, Why is
the you know, colon cancer rates on the rise. And
we have to be able to tie stress in to
this because remember, when the body is under stress, it
makes it very difficult for us to heal and to repair.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
So we certainly want to.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Be able to address all of these different moving parts.
And for myself, I find that mindfulness techniques can be
incredibly helpful. I oftentimes talk about when I was working
as an assistant professor at a medical school and I
(37:22):
went off and did some training through the Center for
Mind Body medicine.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
I was doing that training.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
For the sole purpose of being able to help my
medical students that I was working with who were under
high amount of stress. And so I'm doing this course,
and through taking the course and learning these different techniques,
I started to realize how much that was helping me.
So not only was I going to be able to
(37:52):
help my students, I was able to better regulate my
own daily stressors. And you know, I'm so grateful for that,
because while I was doing so many other things right,
I was, you know, adhering to a Mediterranean diet. I'm
taking my supplements every single day, and I'm exercising, not.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Going to the gym.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
I always say that I'm not a gym person, but
I really enjoy walking, you know, I enjoy hula hooping.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
I know people always, you know, say.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
What, but hey, I always say, if you're stressed out,
try and hulu that stress will go away because the
only thing you can focus on is, you know, keeping
that that hoop around your hips. But one of the
things that that I took away from from that course
and getting certified was Wow, mindfulness techniques really can work,
(38:44):
but you have to find the right one for you.
You know, not all techniques are going to fit your needs.
So some folks do really well with you know, meditation
or breathing techniques, guided imagery. For example, I find that
music therapy for me is kind of.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
My go to.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
I enjoy listening to music, and so if I'm having
a day where I'm just feeling like, oh gosh, there's
so much going on and my brain is on you know, overdrive, here,
I will just take you know, ten minutes and turn
on some of my my favorite songs, listen to that music.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
Move to the music.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
I would say, it's not dancing with the stars. We're
not trying to you know, win an award for our
dance moves. But that's really key because the music can
be so therapeutic. So, you know, I always keep that
in mind. You know, when people here, you know, be
mindful or you know, meditate, a lot of folks say
I'm not going to meditate or I'm not going to
go take a yoga class.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
That's just not my thing.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
There are so many things that you can do to
to regulate your stress response in the body, to allow
your parasympathetic nervous system to have better control over your
sympathetic overdrive that's occurring. So when you look at this
TI and you say seventy five percent of Americans are
(40:04):
known to have high amounts of stress, how many of
those seventy five percent of Americans are actually using proper
techniques such as mindfulness, such as dietary modifications to regulate
their stress. And the unfortunate answer to that is not many.
(40:24):
Of course, all of you who listen to Invite Health Radio,
you hear from Jerry Hickey, you hear from me, and
we talk about the importance of incorporating in nutrients like
elthianine and the power of elthianine, that very potent amino
acid that's derived from green tea, and how that works
(40:46):
to allow the body to enhance the GABBA release. So
GABBA is your calming neurotransmitter. And the scientific studies on
elthianine are so incredible impressive, and the Nutrients Journal in
twenty nineteen they were looking at the impact of althianine
(41:10):
supplementation on stress related symptoms and cognitive function. Because remember,
as I mentioned, if you have a high amount of stress,
oftentimes this will affect your attention, focus, memory. I would say,
if you're incredibly stressed out. Try walking into a grocery
store and then pausing for a moment and say, what
did I come in here for. So that's kind of
(41:32):
one of those perfect examples of you know how stress
in that immediate time can affect our cognitive abilities. So
you take chronic stress and you can see how detrimental
that can be when it comes to memory, focus and attention,
(41:53):
not to mention how it's affecting your GI tract and
driving up inflammation throughout the entire body. So so in
this randomized placebo controlled trial, this was double blinded, which
is always important. We always look for the type of
study when they're testing these things. And they took a
group of individuals who were quote unquote healthy, but now
(42:17):
we know, okay, seventy five percent of Americans are dealing
with stress on a regular basis.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
So they took these individuals who.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Don't have any past history of any type of psychiatric illnesses,
and they gave them elthianine.
Speaker 4 (42:34):
They were giving them two.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Hundred milligrams per day and they had them do this
for one month, so two hundred milligrams of l fianine
for one month. They also had the placebo group who
was just taking just the sugar pill, and then they
started to look at their sleep quality. They were looking
(42:56):
at these different test mark to really determine if the
lthaninge itself was making this impact that has been so
well studied and so well known for many, many years.
But as researchers do, they always want to convince themselves
of a prior study, and through doing this analysis, they
(43:20):
could clearly see that the lthenin had this very not
only protective measure, but the ability to promote overall mental
health quality. So levels of depression and anxiety were starting
to drop in those groups.
Speaker 4 (43:38):
And remember these.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
Are groups who don't come in with known depression or
known anxiety. But as they're in this four week trial,
they're taking their two hundred milligrams of elthening each day,
they're reporting back, you know, I feel really good.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
I feel less anxious.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
I didn't even realize I was so anxious before I
started this study. And so I think that this this
is one of those go to nutrents that I say
every person out there should always have a bottle of
the invite health Elthianine extract with you, whether you keep
that in a cabinet in your home, whether you keep
that in your pocketbook, whether you keep it in your
(44:16):
briefcase or your desk at work, Taking elthanine when you
feel that stress level starting to build up, and who
knows what's precipitating that. You know, it could be something
happening at work, something happening in your personal life. But
in any event, we know that we can turn to elthenine.
Speaker 4 (44:34):
And it is quick acting.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
It's not something that we have to take over the
course of a long time. This is something that we
can take and we will see those impacts in an
almost instant fashion. So Elthenine that's on special today. And
just remember, just as Jerry mentioned, all of these products

hundred six three two zero five seven to two and
welcome back to Invite Health Radio. I am doctor Amanda Williams,
and we are talking about elthening this really interesting study
(46:38):
that came out show me that just in one month,
these individuals were, you know, coming back and saying, oh
my goodness, you know my sleep quality has improved. And
here's just a little fun tip on the invite health lthening.
If sleep is your issue, take elthianing before bed so
are LTHENINGE. There are one hundred milligrams per can, so
(47:00):
you can take two if you need to take three,
but a half an hour before you're ready to go
to sleep. It really helps to kind of set that
tone and allows the body to release more gabba. So
that's your calming neurotransmitter, and it can really improve the
quality of sleep that you will get. And you can
(47:22):
take it during the day. But I said, what I
love about it is it's one of those nutrients. It's
not that you have to take it, you know for
months and months and months before you say, well, you know,
I think this is working. You take it today, you're
going to notice it today. So that's always a great
thing to have because there's many different things that can
pop up throughout your day that can drive up your stress,
(47:43):
and you know, it's one thing if it's the normal
stress response. I always say stress comes in two different forms.
You know, you have good stress, which is known as
you stress, and then you have bad stress, which is distress.
We don't want bad stress, chronic regular stress that can
lead to burnout, and once we hit burnout, that's very
(48:07):
difficult to kind of climb back from. So we have
to to realize that the body is supposed to have
a stress response. When you think about fight or flight
for example, that's the perfect way to look at the
body's self regulation of stress. But many folks go not
(48:30):
from you know, fight or flight. They're just in a constant,
you know, stress cycle, and that is not ideal. So
we have to be able to regulate that HPA access,
which is your hypothalmic pituitary adrenal access. And we have
to be able to to regulate how cortisol, which is
(48:51):
that main stress hormone that most folks think about, but
we know that there are other you know, hormones that
are released and you know this can affect blood pressure
as an example. You know, if we are stressed out
and that's affecting our epinephrin or our nor epinephrin or
our eldosterone levels, this can affect our cardiac function. So
(49:18):
regulation of the stress is so key, and you know,
I mean there can be physiological reasons for you know,
stress levels going up. You know, is it because you
have low blood pressure or even low blood sugar. We
know that that can create that lighter fight response in
(49:41):
the body. So this is why the body is programmed
this way. However, that chronic stress, that's when we shift
away from acute stress, which is kind of good. I
often describe, you know, the use stress or good stress
as maybe you're excited because you're going on a trip,
or you know, maybe you're getting ready to go on
a rollercoaster and you're kind of nervous, but you're also
(50:02):
excited about it. So that's good stress.
Speaker 4 (50:04):
The body can deal with that.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
But that chronic stress, that is very burdensome to the
body and very detrimental. So we always want to hone
in on that. So back to our althenine. This is
something I say everybody should have. When I look at
a couple of different things that everyone should have in
their you know, arsenal, althenine and berromolane. Those are our
(50:30):
two go to's because bromoline has many different functions. Bromolay
number one, say, if you have a meal that's very
heavy in protein. You go out with some friends and
you have a big steak dinner as an example, you
get home, you're like, oh gosh, this feels not so great.
Take your bromolane. Bromolane is a protealytic digestive enzyme and
(50:52):
it will aid in breaking down the protein.
Speaker 4 (50:55):
So if you have a very protein.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
Riched meal and it's not sitting well with you, take
your bromolin. But the other nice thing about bromolaine is,
you know, maybe you have a muscle strain, or you
step funny off of a sidewalk and you feel like
you kind of twisted your ankle a little bit. You
can still walk on it, but it's just a little
uncomfortable bromoline. Bromoline is so wonderful for targeting that type
(51:23):
of inflammation and has been studied and shown to be
just as beneficial as taking a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug,
which we know those come with a whole slew of
side effects. So when you're looking at your ibuprofens and
the likes, when we can turn to bermolaine. So this
is why you should always have bromolaine on hand. I
(51:44):
can't tell you how many times I have turned to bromoline,
and once again it's quick acting. How much should you
take it really depends, you know, in the setting of
kind of a acute injury, you'd likely want to be
taking a thousand in to three thousand milligrams per day
just kind of just depends on the person. I mean,
(52:08):
I know myself, if I take a thousand, I get
very good coverage with that. I have other folks where,
you know, they find two thousand milligrams is their sweet spot.
If you're using it for a digestive enzyme, usually five
hundred to a thousand is sufficient. So but always just
reach out to one of our nutritional experts and they
(52:29):
can give you some guidance on that. But so brom
lane and theening two things you should always have on board.
We can see how you know. Elthenine reduces not only
the psychological stress response, but also the physiological response to stress.
And this is important because remember the two are completely connected.
(52:52):
We can't look and say, okay, I'm stressed and I
feel that stress in my brain or like, emotionally I'm
feeling stressed out. If you're emotionally feeling stressed out, that
means you are also physiologically feeling that stress. And we
know that the althenine that is derived as mentioned from
(53:12):
green tea, really has this nice ability to target the
physiological effects of stress. And in the study that was
published back in two thousand and seven, so going back
in time a little bit here, but the Biological Psychology
(53:35):
Journal looked at how the althenine actually helped with even
regulating heart rate and blood pressure. So althenie, they said,
could have this very powerful anti stress effect, not only
in terms of how someone's emotionally feeling about how their
body is physiologically responding to that, and certainly it goes
(53:59):
even beyond and once again that.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Of just.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
The psychological stressors, because we have also seen the impact
of althenine when it comes to gut health. And what
was really fascinating in the study that was published in
twenty twenty four, and this was in the Journal of
Agricultural Food Chemistry, they looked at how althenine could alleviate
(54:29):
alterative colitis and the way they said that it was
doing that was through the communication pathways of the gut microbiome.
So really quite fascinating that the althenine was working within
the gut. So within the intestines to help your good,
healthy bacteria produce higher amounts of those short chain fatty
(54:53):
acids like butyrate, which can help to work as an
anti inflammatory. So this whycillium, for example, cilium fiber, why
that's so helpful because it allows the body to produce
more butyrate. So butteric acid works as a natural anti
inflammatory in the body, and we can see how althenine
(55:14):
is doing the same thing. So if you're dealing with
stress and irritable bowel and goodness gracious, if you have
IBS and it's affecting your life because you're like, I
can't leave the house because you know, I may feel
like I have to run to the bathroom that I'm
sure cannot be a fun experience, and it's going to
drive your stress level up.
Speaker 4 (55:33):
So turn to.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
Althenine, which we know can help to enhance that butyrate production.
So it's going to lessen the inflammation and at the
same time you're gonna feel a lot more calm. So
althening it is your go too. And then we always
have to look at probiotic So we have the probiotic HX,
which is our comprehensive blend. Those five different strains of
(55:58):
healthy bacteria up with a prebiotic which does so much
to kind of prime the gut for the introduction for
those good, healthy bacteria, and it also works as a
food source for those five strains of healthy bacteria. So
when you're taking probiotic chacks, you can rest assured that
(56:20):
the potency and the viability the live bacteria, they are
going to be thriving because they have that food source.
Speaker 4 (56:30):
Already packed in to that capsule.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
So our probiotic Chacks, as you've probably heard Jerry Hickey
talk about this product for so many years now. When
he researched this and formulated this product, he just did
such an amazing job of partnering up those different strains
of probiotics based on the clinical studies, the full understanding
(56:56):
of how these different unique strains of healthy back materia
are working to optimize our overall microbiome and to create
this lovely balance once again, so in individuals who are
dealing with conditions such as irritable bowel, alterative colitis, leaky gut,
(57:17):
this probiotic hax this should be part of your staple routine.
But also keep in mind that there's such a strong
connection between the gut and the brain. So if you
have high levels of stress, if you're one of those
seventy five percent of Americans who says, yes, I have
(57:41):
a lot of daily stressors that impact the way that
I feel, can affect my digestive health, can affect my
cognitive health. Taking probiotic HAX each day can really give
you this wonderful balance to help better regulate that communication
pathway between the gut and the brain. And that's always
(58:04):
what we are seeking. So we add in that probiotic HAX.
We know that that's going to help to support healthy
digestion each day, it's going to help regulate inflammation.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
But at the same time, it's.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Also very very helpful for our immune systems. Even if
you're dealing with you know, springtime seasonal allergies for example,
you start taking that probiotic HAX and you're going to
see a quick noticeable difference in how you are feeling.
So this is why this product has been so popular
for so long, because when people start to use it,
(58:39):
they're like, Wow, this is the first time I've used
a probiotic product where I really do feel the difference.
I feel better, I feel like I have better bowel regularity.
I feel mentally clear. I feel like I'm not sneezing
as much from the pollens that are in the air.
(59:00):
So probiotic HX definitely a go to. I also want
to talk about our digestive HX. I'm looking at the clock.
I realize I do need to squeeze in a quick break,
so but when I get back, I'm to talk about
digestive HAX and why this product is so important, especially
as we get older.
Speaker 4 (59:16):
So stick around. I will be right back just after this.

Happy Saturday morning to everyone. Got March Madness wrapping up.
Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
It's always amazing to me.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
I'm still very surprised that all four of the number
one seeds made it.
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
I said, usually there's.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
Always kind of the the Cinderella story, but hot this
year was uh, kind of. I'm sure for folks who
put all four of those teams onto the their brackets,
you're you're probably quite happy with yourselves today because that's
I think they said, this is only the second time
in history it's happened, and the last time was in
(01:01:09):
two thousand and eight, so really really remarkable, you know,
because there there are so many things that can happen
in the course of of March Madness. I remember, you know,
many years ago. My brother's team. My brother played at
MISSOO at University of Missouri, and throughout a good portion
(01:01:33):
of the season they were ranked number one, but they
went into the tournament and they were ranked third, and
they lost in the first round to you know, just
one of those teams that you're not supposed to lose to.
Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
So yeah, it's just it's always exciting.
Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
So that's for me why I really enjoy watching watching
any type of college sport. I don't know, I guess
for the bigger picture on that is for many of
those athletes, that's their last hurrah.
Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
It's kind of like.
Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
College bowl games and football. You know, this is going
to be their last tramo. So those players, they don't
go on and play professionally afterwards. So so it's nice
when they when they have these you know, end of
the season tournaments and you can really see these these players,
you know, put in everything that they have because it
(01:02:31):
may be the last time that they ever step foot
onto to court and that and that setting as a player.
So I always I look at the personal stories. I
like that type of stuff. Now digestive HX, this is
our go to This is a power blend of digestive
(01:02:51):
enzymes to help support the way in which your body
breaks down the foods that you're eating. Now, this certainly
matters because as we get older, unfortunately, our natural production
of those digestive enzymes begins to diminish. And I often
talk about how, you know, maybe five years ago there
(01:03:14):
was this big trend and you know, traditional doctors being like, oh,
you've got pancreatic insufficiency. Uh, what is pancreatic insufficiency? You're
pancreas isn't making enough digestive enzymes. Is this something that's known?
Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
Yeah, we know this.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
We know that as we get older. We can go
back in time and look at the at studies that show,
you know, just how much of a downward shift in
enzyme release people can have as they get older.
Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
And when I say go back in time, goodness.
Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
There was a study that was done in nineteen eighty
eight in the International Journal of Pancreatile and they were
looking at the secretion of those pancreatic enzymes in individuals
as they were getting older. And then they compared it
(01:04:12):
to people who were in their thirties, and they compared
that to people who were in their seventies and they
could clearly see that people in their seventies are not
making the same amount of enzymes as people who were
in their thirties, which is why for many folks and
when they get to a certain age, they may find
that some of the foods that they used to enjoy
(01:04:33):
eating they don't enjoy them as much. Or they say,
you know, I used to enjoy eating a salad every day,
but now I find that that's it's harder on my gut.
After I eat a salad, I just I don't feel
so good. Well, we certainly know that raw vegetables in
particular are one of the bigger problems for folks who
(01:04:55):
are already dealing with enzyme deficiencies. But the other issue
is is that when you look at your vegetables, it's
not like the body has a particular enzyme known as
cellulase to break down the cellulose.
Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
We don't.
Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
We're not plants. We know this, but what do we do, well, we.
Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
Our body breaks it down mechanically.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
So through that action, the churning that happens, you know,
you hit the stomach, so then you have all the
different acids and then there's the movement out of the
stomach into the small intestines and then we have the peristosis,
so the movement of that food. But the problem is
is that that action also can start to kind of
diminish as we get older, which is why for many individuals,
(01:05:45):
as they get older, they find that having steamed vegetables
or cooked vegetables is much easier for them to digest
as opposed to raw. So if you fall into that category,
if you're listening and saying, oh, yeah, you know what
the last time I was, you know, eating some raw broccoli,
I did notice I didn't feel as good afterwards, then
this is why, and so we have to be able
(01:06:06):
to address that. And this is where digestive HX can
be very helpful because we added into this formulation a
very powerful enzyme known as alpha galactic sidease, and the
alpha galactusidease enzyme works to break down those the outer
(01:06:28):
membrane of those vegetables, which is key because then that
makes it easier for perhaps our slowed peristalsis to work
more efficiently. So when you're taking digestive HX, and the
way that I advise taking it is about fifteen minutes
prior to eating. Now, let's face the reality here, seventy
(01:06:51):
five percent of Americans are dealing with stress.
Speaker 4 (01:06:54):
What's the likelihood that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Every single time you eat you remember to take your
digestive HX approximately fifteen minutes before you eat. Not that
great because maybe you're on the run, on the go,
and you're grabbing some food and you're eating, and you're
halfway through that meal and you go, oh my gosh,
I didn't take my digestive enzymes. That's okay, you can
(01:07:18):
still take them.
Speaker 4 (01:07:20):
It's just.
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Ideal if we can take it roughly fifteen minutes before
we introduce those foods. But in any event, they're going
to work even if you're halfway through your meal. And
what this partner's up is all of those key enzymes
that support the breakdown of the fats in your food,
the proteins in your food, the carbohydrates.
Speaker 4 (01:07:44):
In your foods.
Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
It has betaine hydrochloride. We know that the betaane hydrochloride
is very important for the stomach acid environment itself, and
we also know that it's really key that we have
adequate bitaine hydrochloride in our stomach acids because that helps
our body with absorbing B twelve from the foods as
(01:08:10):
well as from supplementation. So it's really a powerhouse formulation.
When people start to use digestive HX, and I've worked
with many individuals through the years who will complain about,
you know, acid reflux, feeling bloated after a meal. This product,
(01:08:31):
the digestive HX, This helps to support that proper digestion,
having the amylase to break down the carbs, having the
liepase to break down the fats, the proteases in this
it also contains bromline, so we have bromline added into
this formulation and digestion itself. I would say it starts
(01:08:55):
from when we see the food, we smell the food,
which is why mindful eating is really important. And when
I say mindful eating, put everything down, pause, give your
body ten or fifteen minutes to actually enjoy your foods
and think about what you are about to eat.
Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
This helps to get all.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Of those enzymes working properly. It allows for proper paristolsis
and movement throughout the GI track. So we see the food,
we smell the food, and we get this instant release
of enzymes in our mouth. So the different salivary analysis
(01:09:37):
for example, and salivary lie pace, and then we start
chewing our food, and then we go down into the stomach,
and this is where we hit those different gastric juices
and the hydrochloric acid pepsin, and then we go into
the small intestines where we have these other enzymes that
are working to enhance the way that are our body
(01:10:00):
can actually absorb those nutrients. So if we're adhering to
a Mediterranean diet, for example, which is loaded with all
of those wonderful vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, we want to be
able to absorb those and this is where digestive HX
can be so incredibly helpful because it actually is allowing
(01:10:23):
your full enzymatic process to work much more efficiently. So
if you're dealing with irritable bowel, if you're dealing with
alterative colitis, or if you have a chronic GI related
issue and you're not taking a digestive enzyme each day
(01:10:48):
before your meals, this is a place that can make
a huge difference in how you are feeling. And we
also know that each one of these different individual enzymes
that are contained in the digestive HX also do a
really lovely job once again with the immune system response,
(01:11:09):
regulating inflammation, and helping to support once again that gut
brain connection. We certainly know that dietary supplementation with a
comprehensive enzyme blend, which is what's found in digestive HX,
can really facilitate a high amount of healthier digestion and
(01:11:34):
better absorption of your foods as well as your supplements.
So maybe you're taking our core multivitamin every day, we
want to make sure that we're enhancing the way in
which those vitamins and.
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
Minerals are absorbing.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
And if you're dealing with a GI issue, this is
going to create problems obstacles. So adding in digestive HIX,
even if it's just for your heaviest meal of the day,
is very important, especially as we get older, because we
know that as we get older, our natural production of
(01:12:10):
those enzymes begins to diminish. So I've worked with many
folks where we get them on a routine where they're
taking digestive HX, they're taking probiotic HX. Maybe for some
folks who have more of that acid reflux and heartburn,
we add in min acid. And I want to tell
you about the men acid formulation because it's really a
(01:12:34):
wonderful go to for those occasional times where you do
experience heartburn or indigestion. But I do need to squeeze
in one more break, so stick around.
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
I will be right back just after this.

Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
Now let's talk about minute acid.
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
This is a great go to another one of those
products that would be a good idea to just have
on hand for those times where maybe you do feel
like you're having a little bit of heartburn indigestion.
Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
Min acid. It's quick acting.
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
It is a blend of DGL which is licorice extract.
It's the deglystrinated versions. You don't have to have the
concerns with it affecting your blood pressure. It has plantain
extract in that their slippery elm and marshmallow, not the
fluffy variety, but the marshmallow root extract in this. People
(01:14:41):
really respond to this formulation. We've had it in our
product line for many, many years. A much cleaner option,
I will just say, as opposed to, you know, having
to turn to the common thing, which is like tombs.
Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Where you're getting.
Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Corn starch and tall and artificial colors, and I mean
that's just crazy. So we certainly can look at the
science on how the marshmallow extract has been utilized for
you know, thousands of years through throughout different parts of
the globe for GI issues specifically, and same thing when
you're looking at slippery elm extract and the DGL. So
(01:15:22):
this is a great go to for the times where
maybe you do eat something that you're not used to
eating in your diet and it really can help to
support that upper GI tract. If you're feeling kind of
that burn up in the esophagus, this is a really
comforting way to address this. And knowing in your mind,
(01:15:45):
I'm using things from nature. I'm not putting chemicals into
my system. I don't have to have concerns with you know,
the artificial colors and artificial flavors any of that. So
you know, min acid definitely is a go to. I
want to also mention I have the green TTX on special,
and the reason why I put that on special is,
(01:16:07):
you know, we can clearly see the power of EGCG
when it comes to gut health and the way in
which EGCG can support the healthy stress response, because when
you're using the green TTX, you're going to be getting
some natural health the inine coming from each one of
(01:16:29):
those dropper folds, so you get the power of the
EGCG plus you get some lthanine, and this has been
studied in that setting of really helping to regulate the
hypothalamic pituitary adrenal access and in the Journal of Medicinal
Foods in twenty eighteen they looked at this. They looked
(01:16:50):
at the the overall effect of EGCG on behavioral and
cognitive impairments when folks are under higher amounts of stress,
and the mechanism of how EGCG was working. So one
of the things we know it's doing is it's a
(01:17:11):
powerful antioxidant, so it's fighting off the oxidative stress or
the free radicals that can be worsening that stress response.
And at the same time it's helping to lower inflammation
because remember with EGCG, it actually can turn off this
switch which is known as HMGB one. Not that we
(01:17:32):
need to know the technical details of that, but that's
a major regulator of inflammation in the body, and we
know that the EGCG from green tea can help turn
that off. So we're helping to lessen inflammation, we're lessening
the body's chronic stress response, which means regulation of cortisol,
(01:17:54):
and we're getting that exposure to the lthenine, so it
gives us that nice sense of calm. So it's kind
of a win win across the board when you're using
the green TTX formulation, and we also know that it
helps with the promotion of a healthy microbiome. There was
(01:18:17):
a real fascinating research study that was done looking at C. Difficil,
which is a very bad bacteria infection that can happen
sometimes people will get this post antibiotic therapy, but they
looked at how EGCG actually helped to improve upon the
intestinal gut microbiome and create a homeostasis within the microbiome.
(01:18:46):
This is in the setting of a really rough bacterial
infection that can do a significant amount of damage. So
the power of EGCG and the many different utilizations of
our green TTX is just kind of another one of
those nutrients where if you have it on board, and
even if you're not taking it every single day, maybe
(01:19:07):
you take you know, one or two full droppers full
add that in with four six ounces of water sip
on that you can do it hot, you can do
it cold. That's not going to affect it. Sometimes people
do ask that, you know, can I drink this as
a hot tea. Yes, you certainly can.
Speaker 4 (01:19:22):
The EGCG is not.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
Going to break down because of the heat. So EGCG
is quite powerful and it can withstand those temperatures. But
that's just something that I wanted to include into today's
specials because it gives you so many, you know, different benefits,
and certainly we know EGCG can help promote thermogenesis. So
(01:19:47):
even for fat burning, you've got summer coming up right
around the corner. Maybe you're already thinking about your your
beach bodies out there, so you know, having your green
TTX is helpful for the immunes system, for a stress response,
and you know, just to regulate inflammation. It's always interesting,
especially during cold and flu season, when people will start
(01:20:09):
to use our green TTX and then they come back
and go you know, I was experiencing some you know,
inflammation in my knee, you know, little arthritis.
Speaker 4 (01:20:18):
Wasn't doing much about it.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
But now I'm taking the green TTX because I was
concerned about cold and flu season and I work in
an office building. I thought, if I just drink my
green TTX every day, this will help.
Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
My immune system.
Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
But at the same time, it helped with my occasional
knee pain. So we know how how the green tea
itself is working. So that's a great product to have
on hand. The other product that I want to talk
about today is GI Maintain. Understanding the way in which
(01:20:58):
different herbal extras can create this soothing calming effect for
the entire GI tract is important, and this is why
men acid is so helpful and why it works.
Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
It's because we know that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:12):
When we partner up marshmallow and slippery ELM and DGL,
how effective that can be. But we have a very
advanced formulation called GI maintain, and this contains that marshmallow extract.
It has slippery elm, there's AlOH in this, there's the DGL,
but it also contains glutamine. And glutamine is such an
(01:21:36):
important amino acid in the body for the way in
which our body responds to stress. Very interesting to see
what can happen to the natural glutamine levels in the
body when the body goes through any major illness or injury.
(01:21:59):
Glutamine itself is the most abundant amino acid found in
the body, and we certainly know that it works to
improve our immune function.
Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
We can see how.
Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
It works to support healthy permeability within the intestine. So
if someone's dealing with leaky gut or any form of
gut imbalance, supplementation with glutamine can.
Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
Be kind of their main solution.
Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
Because we're enhancing the gut microbiome environment, we're sealing up
any of those areas where we're experiencing leaky gut, and
at the same time we're allowing the body itself to
kind of re energize. And so for folks who exercise,
for example, that can create a setting in which the
(01:22:52):
body struggles a bit more when it comes to recovery.
So taking the GI maintain and having the exposure to
all of these different nutrients, including citrus pectin, which is
in this formulation, and citrus pectin is a wonderful binder
of different toxins. And if we are just cognizant of
(01:23:16):
the fact that every single day we unfortunately are exposed
to higher levels of toxins just from the air that
we breathe, from things that we come in contact with,
it would be very wise that we focus in on that.
That's why I talk about like greens ajex for example,
why greens ahex because the greens ahex has the finite
(01:23:42):
ability through the partnering of all of these different herbs
and antioxidants to help the body detoxify each and every
single day. Well, we can see the same thing with
that citrus pectin. It goes in and it combined to
things like heavy metals and other toxin that create havoc
in our system. So taking a scoop of GI maintain
(01:24:07):
giving you this wonderful blend of courstin, and there's black
tea leaf extract in this the L glutamine and you're
getting one point five grams of L glutamine, So it's
not like it's just a little sprinkle of L glutamine
in this formulation. This can set that tone for the
healing that your GI tract needs. And so for folks
(01:24:30):
who have been dealing with chronic problems with digestion for many,
many years, this product can be your solution because it
has so many nutrients partnered up together to optimize the
way the body can heal itself. And you're getting those
nutrients such as L glutamine, that most abundant amino acid
(01:24:53):
that can do so much to re energize and to
heal you. So that's on special today along with the
green TTX, the greens HX, the althenine, the min acid,
the probiotic HX, and digestive HX. Remember to use that
