Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kine from Mark Today. Here's Ken Rosatto and good to
be with you. It's ten twenty nine on your Thursday.
And by the way, I don't know if you saw that
NBC News announced that they began laying off about one
hundred and fifty people from the news division as part
of the spinoff of MSNBC into ms now or whatever
they're going to be called. But it always makes me sick,
whether they're liberal or not. Look, I worked in the
(00:21):
industry for decades and I just wish well to my
colleagues and just hope they all land on their feet.
But it is time to check the phones. Right now,
it's eight hundred and three to two one zero seven
ten w O R. We go to Jay in New Jersey. Jay,
good morning to you. Hey, Ken hall arey, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
You know about the debate tonight. You know what has
to be made clear is that Zora Mamdani has openly
professed to hate America. And yes, it arises why he
wants to run for the you know, to be mayor
of New York City. And the answer is, obviously he
wants to destroy it. And I do not have faith
(01:00):
in Andrew Cuomo to make this to make this clear
to the people of New York City, and that saddens
me because if Zoramdani gets elected, you know, he's not
hiding what he's doing. You saw the Fox News interview,
and that's just a preview to what you're going to
see tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Look, there are people on the internet, Jay, and only
because we're short of time, and i't mean to step
on you, but there are people on the internet. On
the internet, anyone could say anything, but who have said,
you know, and this is it's It sounds very anti Islam.
And I am not anti Islam here because I have
many friends who are very faithful Muslims. But there are
many who say, if you look at what happened in
all the European capitals where you had people who were
(01:38):
of the faith who came in and then they imposed
the faith on many of the capitals, and they're suggesting
that that's what he is. I don't believe that, but
I do believe that he comes up from a different mindset,
that he comes up with a very socialist mindset, and unfortunately,
you know, people are falling for it, and that is
not the way this country was founded. Alan Yaker's good
(02:00):
to you.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, hi, Ken, thanks for taking my calling. You know,
I just wanted to say I'm a registered Republican and
I follow what's going on nationally and locally, and I
really think the speaker is the Speaker Johnson is being
irresponsible by not even being in Washington. I mean, that's ridiculous.
He shouldn't be getting paid.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Well, let me ask you this now. Let me let
me ask you this. The House did its job. They
all they needed to do was pass a continuing resolution.
That wasn't this isn't about passing a whole new budget.
They just needed a continuing resolution. The House did that,
so he did his job. And you know, listen, when
the Democrats were in power, they just did what they
wanted to do, and then if the Republicans didn't sign on,
(02:43):
they said screw you and they moved on. But when
the Demo, when the Republicans are in charge, the Democrats
want to still play by the rules as if they're
in charge. But sorry, it doesn't work that way. They
are not in charge anymore. And the bottom line is
House did its job. The Senate has to do its job.
And five senators of the Democrat persuasion refused to do that, Vincent.
We got about thirty seconds left, but I got to
(03:05):
get you on. Good Morning, Vincent in Brooklyn, Good.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Morning, ken Ken. I think when opioids are used correctly,
they have a place in medicine. I think a lot
of these severe laws that now in New York you
could only get a prescription for opioids for a seven
day prescription. So if you have terminal cancer like my
uncle did, and you depend on those drugs at end state,
(03:29):
in end stage cancer to relieve your pain, whether you've
got to go back to your doctor every week to
get a prescription, you're in rack and ruins from the pain.
And a lot of these people who had problems with
these drugs, they would have problems with a lot of
other drugs. They have addictive personalities, they're junkies. I had
(03:53):
three oral surgeries in the past year, and if it
wasn't for drugs like percocet or oxycondon that have opioids
in them, I would be up to proverbial creek because
I was in extreme pain. And once the prescription was finished,
and once the pain was gone, I stopped using it. Stop.
(04:16):
People have to realize it's written right on the bottle
that you're not supposed to take these drugs after a
certain period of time. You're not supposed to take them
with alcohol, and it said they're highly addictive.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, you know, you know the one. By the way,
I should even mention there is a new drug out
that is non opioid that some doctors are giving and
I'm not just talk to your doctor about. It's called
Jernovics and it is not opioid. It doesn't make you groggy,
and it's pretty good, but it doesn't work on spinal pain,
but it does work on non spinal pain.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
But talkic.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
My insurance covered it because when I had I had
hernia surgery recently and it worked. But that's a good option,
but only because I gotta go to news here. We
gotta jump. I love you, you know when you call
all the time, Vincent, and I appreciate that. But instance right,
if you are non addictive, it's fine to follow the
instructions of the opioids. The problem is, I get it,
some people become addictive, But you don't look at the
(05:10):
person running against you and say you're a murderer when
he just simply published a study from a university sevent
ten wor when we come back. More on the New
Jersey governor's race with New Jersey political guru Micah Rasmussen
