Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now on the Voice of New York. It's the Mark
Simone Show on seven to ten.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Woor hey, it's one day. We got a lot to
get to. We'll get to Gaza, We'll get to the shutdown.
We'll get to Portland, We'll get to MSNBC, Taylor Swift,
Mark Sanchez, We'll get to Netflix has even big problems.
We got lots to talk about today. We'll get to

(00:27):
the mayoral race. Throughout the program, there's all kinds of
myths in this mayoral race. Why if only Eric Adams
would drop out, that would help Cuomo, then Cuomo could well.
First of all, Eric Adams did drop out. You'll see
this coming the polling pretty soon. This is the myth
that people don't get. If Eric Adams were to drop out,
which he did, the votes don't go to Cuomo. He

(00:49):
might pick up a couple, but half those Adams votes
will go to Mom Donnie. It's not going to change much.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
He keeps saying Curtis, if only Curtis would get out.
If Curtis gets out, the votes are not going to
Andrew Cuomo. Curtis's voters aren't switching to Andrew Cuomo. They
hate Andrew Cuomo. At best, they'll just stay home. That'll
be it. So these getting these people to drop out
will not affect the race. But we'll get to the
mayor race in detail coming up. President Trump, looks like

(01:17):
tomorrow's the end. Well, tomorrow is the anniversary of October seventh,
two year anniversary. It looks like the deal is going
to happen. Now Hamas is holding out. You got to
remember Hamas the most awful, evil, treacherous, dirtiest, filthiest snakes.
So when you make an agreement with them, I don't

(01:37):
know what that's going to do in the long run.
It may get the hostages out right away, that'll be good.
Benjamin Nta, who had to really really be pressured into
it by Donald Trump basically screaming at him, stop being
according to this exchange, stop being so f a negative.
It's a win. Take it. You're not going to ever
do any better than this. And it looks like it's

(02:00):
a pretty good deal. And if there's delays, that's okay too.
Let Israel go in there and keep finishing up the job.
But we'll see what happens. It'll happen probably in the
next couple of days. Hey, the government shutdown. You know,
it's fascinating if you watch the news, if you watch anything,
even the left left, left wing Morning Joe type shows.

(02:22):
The government shutdown was like the twenty seventh story buried
somewhere half an hour into the show. It's not even
a story anymore. You had that Hakeem Jefferys all over
television and Schumer yelling everybody's gonna die. This is the
worst crisis. Everybody's gonna die. Then Friday they said, we're
off for the weekend. We'll see you next week. And

(02:42):
they left for the weekend. If everybody's gonna die, but
we're taking a couple of days off, be back next week.
It's a strange, and you can blame Republicans for that too.
They should have been demanding a vote every second. But
the government shutdown is not affecting everybody. It'll drag on.
It doesn't mean my Do you remember where you were
December twenty eighteen. No, Well, that was when we had

(03:07):
the longest government shutdown ever, thirty five days. You don't
even remember it. You've been through literally a dozen shutdowns,
you don't remember any of them. So don't worry about it.
What else is going on. This is great news. MSNBC
has been thrown out of NBC. NBC wants nothing to

(03:28):
do with MSNBC. They've been told to get the hell
out of the building, get that peacock off your logo,
take our name out of there. It's going step by
step by step. So this week is when they pull
away all of NBC news access from MSNBC. You know,
MSNBC tries to they make it look like there's some

(03:49):
sort of a news network. It's just very, very very
left wing site. Some call it a propaganda site, but
it's extremely slanted pro Democrat stuff. But because they can
keep switching now our NBC News correspondent and then they
can put the NBC News logo, people get the impression
of watching some sort of a news network. It's not

(04:11):
in any way a news network. So this is the
week they'll start taking away every resource of NBC News.
They will not be able to cut to an NBC
News correspondent or say NBC News. They'll have to hire
their own correspondents. They've also they're getting tossed out of
the building over there in Rockefeller Center. They're moving to

(04:31):
temporary studios in Times Square, they by the end of
the year have to stop saying MSNBC. The new name
will be ms NOW. And we've finally been told what
the now will stand for. Ms NOW will stand for
This is ridiculous. It will stand for my Source News

(04:53):
Opinion World. Huh, what the hell does that mean? My
source news appear world. This is how bad things are
over there. This is all they could come up with. This,
They had a month to work on this. My Source
News Opinion World doesn't even make any sense. Hey, this
just happened. Moments ago. Gallaine Maxwell had gone to the

(05:15):
Supreme Court to get her conviction overturned. Supreme Court turned
her down. So that's it as far as getting the
conviction overturned. Supreme Court rejected her bid to do that. Hey,
the Charlie kirkshooter apparently the assassin. They've absolutely confirmed everything
about him being there. I guess he didn't take his

(05:37):
cell phone, you know, they would have a GPS tracker
in it, but they were able to confirm it. The
campus college campuses don't have great security, but they do
have great surveillance video, and they've used the surveillance video.
They've tracked the shooter every inch of the way they
know exactly what he did. Apparently came a couple hours
before the shooting, walked around, scoped out the whole area,

(06:00):
have to change his clothes to all that black, and
then came back and that's when it happened. They've also
got his footprints. He was wearing these Converse sneakers, which
they have and they absolutely match all the footprints on
the roof and everywhere. So it looks like a sure
conviction for this guy. You know, normally if you have
an assassination, there's NonStop coverage of the assassin. Remember Lee

(06:23):
Harvey Oswald. They delve into all these reports and stories
about Oswald, has past, his life, his family is This
same thing happened with Sirhan Sirhan and James Earl Ray.
But because these are Republicans that are targets, no coverage,
no coverage the Trump shooting in Pennsylvania. Have you ever
heard one word about the assassin, instant cover up, not

(06:46):
a word about it, nothing, not even mentioned second Trump shooter.
Not a word of coverage about who the guy is
or anything about him. And the same thing with this
Charlie kirkshooter, no coverage at all. Speaking of no coverage.
Here's the most uncovered story, no coverage at all of

(07:06):
this from mainstream media. There's a Virginia race, governor's race,
attorney general's race, and the Democratic candidate, Attorney General j Jones,
gets caught calling for assassination, endorsing assassination of Republicans. They
find his text messages where he's talking about certain Republicans

(07:26):
and he says things like two bullets in the head
for this guy and one bullet for his family. Literally
just talking about assassination, endorsing assassinations. So everybody calling, well
not everybody, but Republicans calling for this Jay Jones to
drop out of the race, and not a word from
Democrats about it. Democrats should be condemning this kind of stuff,

(07:49):
this calling for assassination, nothing from them. The only Democrat
that commented on it tried to defend it, said, well,
it was a private conversation. But even the Sunday shows
would not cover this story. One of the panelists sorts
a very end to meet the press brought it up
and the subject was quickly changed. But it's amazing what

(08:11):
they will not cover. They just bury this stuff. There's
another story you'll never see you won't read this anywhere.
Netflix stock is plunging because of their pro trans stuff.
They've been promoting transgender stuff, offending a lot of the audience.
It's no need to promote this, but I don't know why,

(08:32):
but Netflix has been doing it. The stock is plunging
as a result. You got to get that book, Charlie
Gasprino's book, Go Woke, Go Broke. Read the book. It's
not going to help any company to go woke. Chub
Insurance that's considered the finest insurance company, Chubb. You know,
you got all your regular insurance companies, but there's AIG

(08:54):
is very good and all that, but Chubb is like
the gold standard. Nobody gives better coverage than Chubb. It's expensive,
you gotta pay a lot more, and they turned down
a lot of people. It's not easy to get them.
But now they're under fire. They got a new chairman
apparently trying to take them woke. Chubb becoming woke. Now
watch this or you got the greatest insurance company there is.

(09:15):
Watch watch this guy. I'll ruin this company with his
woke nonsense. Hey speaking in which Jane Goodall, Well, he
hears these wonderful things about Jane Goodall. Look at her
parting words were her final words. She'd like to send
Musk up in one of his spaceships with Trump putin
and net Yahoo. In other words, this is what she

(09:36):
These are the people she hates in life, Musk Trump, Putin, Okay,
I can understand Putin, but net Nyaho. That's the final
words from Jane Goodall. So don't nominate her for sainthood
just yet. Hey, mom, Donnie is in Uganda, his home country.

(09:58):
He's a citizen of Uganda. You know, besides the political
nonsense of Mom Donnie, have we ever had a mayoral
candidate who is just a little kid, he's thirty four
years old. This would be his first job. Have we
ever had a mayoral candidate who just became a citizen
a few minutes ago, became a citizen just a couple
of years ago, has dual citizenship. I mean, of course,

(10:20):
you got a total corruption of the media, no coverage
of this, nobody going after any of this. But he
was in Uganda, and there's a woman there who is
backing this legislation to have you put in jail for
being gay. If you're gay, you go to prison. That's it.
And here he was smiling and hugging her and arm
around her, smiling for a picture. Now, of course he's

(10:44):
now being asked about it. I was in the airport,
she came up to me. I didn't know who she was. Yeah,
nobody's buying that. Hey, they're going back to This is
when you're really getting weak. They're going back to attacking
anybody who doesn't pronounce his name correctly. If you don't
say mom, Donnie erectly. Remember in the debates, Cuomo couldn't
pronounce his name, kept saying Mandanni or whatever. Uh, I

(11:06):
like the Al Sharpton pronounce You remember Al Sharpton called
him man Danny. But there's a whole flak now. But
if you don't get his name right, take a listen.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
The President reserves the right to get involved in racist
or not get involved in racist, although he has gone
as hard to say he absolutely does not want to
see uh Zimdami.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
Dami Zorndami Mandami zoron Mndami.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
His name is Zorn Mandanie.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Mister Mandami.

Speaker 7 (11:34):
He's very good on Twitter and with videos, but he
actually produces nothing.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
The name is mom, Donnie, m A M d A N. I.
You should learn how to say it because we got
to get it right.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Oh, calm down, and when you're really weak, deep down.
This is what Kamala Harris did. I remember you got
yelled at if you didn't pronounce your name correctly. I
still don't notice it. Kamala, Kamala, Kamala. If you're said Kamala,
you were practically run out of the country. It was
the worst thing in the world. And everybody mispronounced her name.
Obama mispronounced her name. You know, when she was sworn

(12:08):
in as vice president. Was just a soda my air
that swore her in. And if you go back and
check the swearing in, listen to the swearing in she says, Kamela.
She gets it wrong. So but you can't worry about this.
Here's moy im donnie about this subject.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
What I take offense to is not someone's initial mispronunciation
of my name. What I take offense to is the repeated,
intentional Like Andrew Cuomo, this is someone who has made
it a part of his politics to deny even the
basic modicum of dignity to me as someone who is
running in the same race. And I think what is

(12:47):
so troubling is not what it means for me as
an individual, but it's the fact that this is the
experience of so many.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Yeah, I see you sounded a little pompous and pious.
I don't think he's trying to take your dignity away.
I think he just honestly doesn't know how the hell
to pronounce your name. So hey. Saturday Night Live debuted
the season this is season fifty one. There wasn't mom Donnie.
Whereas as Al Sharpton would say, mam dammy, there was
a character based on him.

Speaker 9 (13:13):
New York, New York Candaidate Zoran Mam Donnie ran an uh.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
Well.

Speaker 9 (13:19):
He ran an ad during an episode of Golden Bachelor,
in which he said, New York, will you accept this roles?
Not to be outdone, Andrew Cuomo ran an ad in
which he said, Hanker.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
All right, it's not that funny, but for Saturday Night Live,
it's funny. You know, in year three it wouldn't have
made it into the final cut. But Saturday Night in
life not so funny anymore. That makes it now. Eric Adams,
New York Maya.

Speaker 9 (13:45):
Eric Adams has ended his re election bid, citing an
official reason. Citing an official reason, of too much.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Swagger for y'all. Again, that wouldn't have made it into
the final cut year three, two twenty six. But it's
now you're fifty one. They'll run out of gas. They're
running on fumes. And that's about as good as a guess. Now, hey,
they had Bad Bunny as the host this past week.
You know he's really not bad that Bad Bunny. Musically

(14:14):
he's great and as far as I mean he's not
a brilliant stand up comedian with the monologue, but the sketches,
the guy was great. He's got a lot of charm.
He's the argument is he shouldn't be the super Bowl halftime.
You could make that case. He's not big enough to
be the super Bowl halftime. He's big enough to be
a host of Saturday Night Live because ninety percent of
the time when you watch that in Night Live, you

(14:36):
know you know you're getting older when you don't know
who the musical guests are. You know you're getting much
older when you don't know who the hosts are. So
but usually NFL halftime he's like the biggest star, like
the top tier. He's big Bad Bunny, but he's not
absolute top two. I mean it really should have been
Taylor Swift this year, but I guess I guess you

(14:58):
got two big to even be the NFL halftime show. Hey,
we'll take some calls next. Michael Goodman will be with
us in a few minutes. Scott Shannon will be with
us later. We'll talk about the Taylor Swift release and
what it's actually done, and we'll take some calls next.
Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
the number eight hundred three to two one zero seven

(15:20):
ten in.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Mark on Demand by setting up presead for his podcast
on the iHeartRadio app. Now back to Mark Simone on wor.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
how you doing.

Speaker 10 (15:38):
I'm doing really good. Mark. Hey, because I live in Illinois,
I can't vote in your mayoral election. But I love
New York. It's a wonderful city. I'm a little confused though,
you said that this month DOWNNY guy just became a
citizen a group of Uganda. But I see commercials where
he brags about being a kid growing up in New
York City.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, No, he's only came here in recent years. He
only became a citizen I think five or six years ago. Uh,
he'd been here much longer, but he's from you Ganda.
They still have a home and you got how many
people you know have a weekend home in Uganda? Short?
All right, Diane, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh

(16:15):
Rich Myrtle beach Rich. How you doing pretty good?

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Mark? Thanks? You know, when I found out that the
Obamas were going to be part owners or get money
from Netflix, I was never given Netflix up any of
my hard earned money ever. But as you think any
of this has to do with Elon Musk home for
the boycott of Netflix and why they're going down a
tube sto Oh.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Yeah, no, No, that definitely helped, definitely helps stock is
plunging Netflix in trouble. H this. I don't know why
they got so involved in promoting transgender nonsense. I don't
know why they why.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
I saw a post I Peter King talk about my
Donnie this w I'm Donnie that. But what are these
Republicans doing to come in and try to get people
to vote Republican? Because, like you've mentioned many times, if
you only get a twenty percent turnout, I'm Donnie wins.
If you do you get fifty percent of more, Curtis
might actually win this thing.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah, I turn out Curtis wins. Yeah, you're right. That's
that's the main problem. The Republican Party in New York
is a tiny thing. It's a little tiny thing. The
Democrats have a massive ground game. Ground game is the key.
That's the teams, the people that go out and get
to knock on doors and get voters, and then on
election day they bring them to the polls. The Democrats

(17:23):
have like sixty thousand in that army, that ground game.
Republicans nothing, nothing, No, there's barely a Republican Party in
New York. That's really the problem. Let's go to Chris
and Manhattan. Chris, how you doing.

Speaker 11 (17:36):
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Thanks Mark.

Speaker 11 (17:37):
Listen, you said before that if Curtis were to drop out,
people wouldn't vote for Cuomo. No, I would no, But
I don't want Mandamie and I want I want Curtis
to win, but I don't think Curtis can win. So
it was between Monday, Well, well.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
There's one thing we know for a fact, because we've
already there's one thing we absolutely know. We've tested it.
Cuomo cannot beat mom. Don We tried it in the primary,
he got wiped out in two debates. He got wiped
out in the way, so we know for a fact
he can't beat Mom Donnie. Now you're gonna have it. Yeah,
there's Curtis, and you'll have a debate October sixteenth. That'll
be Curtis's shot to change the whole dynamic by just

(18:17):
for the record, yeah, well, so you gotta remember, if
we know Clomo can't beat Mom Donnie, we already tried that.
That's how you got stuck with Mom Donnie because Cuomo
was so weak against him in the debates. But if
Curtis were to drop out, none of those votes would
go to Cuomo, none of them. There's no Curtis. We're
talking about normal people, we're talking about rational saying people,

(18:39):
But nobody would go to Curtis. Voter is not going
to switch to Cuomo. You know, when Adams dropped out,
we find that half those voters went to Mom Donnie.
So it's not about everybody dropping out. Anybody was going
to be for Cuomo. It's already for Cuomo, and it's
all people that just got bulldozed by Cuomo. He can't
We've tried him again. Donnie. You know, Mam Donnie started

(19:02):
out in the primary as zero at zero. Once she
had two debates with Cuomo, he went to forty points
and he just Cuomo is so weak as a debater.
Let's go to Joel in Florida. Joel, how you doing.
Good morning, Mark.

Speaker 12 (19:16):
I hope you had a good weekend and want you to
have a good week Short off the fuss of revenue,
in your opinion, is there anything that can occur that
could make the mainstream media the non woke as woke
as they have been.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
New ownership, new ownership, and it's gonna that'll take time,
but a good question you got. CBS now has a
new owner, David Ellison, son of Larry Ellison. He's taken
over CBS. He's brought in a new This is now
confirmed by the way today. It will be Barry Weiss,
the new director of CBS News. She's from the New
York Times, but she's a sane, rational, old fashioned moderate

(19:55):
sort of a Democrat, and she does not like the
slanted news coverage. She will clean up CBS News. You'll
see a mutiny, You'll see a lot of people leave.
He has done this with CBS now he's trying to
get Warner Brothers Discovery, which would include CNN. He would
then clean up CNN. He saw Musk do it with Twitter.
He cleaned up Twitter. It was the most biased left

(20:18):
wing censoring, crazy place, banning Trump, banning conservatives. Musk bought it,
cleaned it up. So you'll see CBS get cleaned up next.
And if he gets a hold of CNN, you'll see
that get cleaned up. Let's go to Joanne in New Jersey. Joeanne,
how you doing?

Speaker 13 (20:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (20:36):
Hi?

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Are you familiar with jimash the singer from kazakh Stans
who played Mensis Square Going last night?

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (20:45):
Yes, What do you think the next Michael Jackson?

Speaker 2 (20:49):
No? No, you got a little at least good, but
you still got a ways to you don't. It's it's
like everybody was the next Beatles, now everybody's the next
Michael Jackson. It doesn't really work that way. Let's go
to Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing?

Speaker 16 (21:04):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Marked.

Speaker 16 (21:05):
This is when the total value of all the savings
from the upcoming shutdown cuts or tallied. I think a
good political move would be to apply some portion of
that money, right, away to an increase in the cola
that's coming for Social Security. Make it a bonus cola,
and this way people can see what their money can

(21:25):
be used for instead of all this nonsense.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yeah, I know, there's a lot of plans. But also
with the deficit of the trade deficit money, the tariff money,
let's talk about both these things. Take that money. Let's
talk about a rebate check. Send every body, Well it'd
be everybody like under two hundred thousand a year. Send
everybody a check for five thousand dollars. Now, some are
arguing with Trump, don't send these rebate checks. Pay down

(21:48):
the deficit with it, pay down the debt with it.
I think people rather have the check. We're always going
to have this debt. We live with it. You can
pay it down. Yeah. Bill Clinton brought the debt almost
the deficit down to nothing, but it just pops right
back up. But you will get something. You will profit
heavily off the shutdown. Hey, when we come back, we'll

(22:11):
talk to Michael Goodwin next. Lots to talk to him
about on seven to ten wor mister New York.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
He's on the Game The Mark Simone Show on seventr.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Well Michael Goodwin, the finest columnist in America. You can
read them every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New
York Post. All his columns are up on the New
York Post website. Michael Goodwin, How you doing.

Speaker 17 (22:35):
Good morning, Mark?

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Thank you? Hey. What was that famous saying the Palestinians
never miss an opportunity, to miss an opportunity?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Ah?

Speaker 17 (22:43):
Yes, one of my favorite lines, and I think we
could say with confidence it seems to be applying here
in the current situation.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
So I don't know you've had this agreement. It's I
think it's the best you could get it right now.
And congratulations of President Trump for pushing it. But we've
done this way, haven't we been down this road before?
And it never holds up.

Speaker 17 (23:10):
Well, Look, I think the even line that you mentioned
is certainly applies. The Palestinians and the Hamas in particular,
want to be the skunk at the garden party here
when you have so many endorsers of this deal, enthusiastic

(23:31):
endorsers Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, even cutter, you would
think that would create the momentum. And certainly President Trump
and Steve Whitcoff and Gared Koshner, who did the negotiations,
thought that they had pretty much a water tight deal

(23:52):
twenty points and beginning with the hostage release and the
broad agreement. I think mark was a great achievement, achievement
in and of itself and Hamas than what I believe
was a false signal on Friday that it would it

(24:13):
would move on the hostage release. It was ready to
do that, and then it said but and the butt
seems to go on endlessly. It is calling for renegotiating
what looks to me like the heart of the deal. Otherwise. Now,
I think a hostage release would be a great thing

(24:33):
in and of itself if there were an exchange. But
if that doesn't work, why would any of the other
pieces of work, which ultimately get to disarmament of Hamas
and civil administrators and no role for Hamas in the government.
So if they can't even complete the first step, there's

(24:56):
no hope of them completing the other steps. So I
think that that's why this thing has been bogged down
and you get yet a new round of negotiations. I
think that the Hamas strategy is just to negotiate this
till everybody gets tired of it and then walk away
from it. I don't think they want peace. I don't
think they want a settlement because it's the end of

(25:19):
their power.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Yeah, you know, even I guess the end result of
all this thing would be a two state solution. Didn't
We just try a two state solution for twenty years
and look how it ended.

Speaker 17 (25:29):
Yeah, I mean, Gaza was a two state solution, right.
It was a Palestinian state, and it became a terrorist state,
and that's what it remains. And to the of course
great detriment and deaths of many civilians there who either
went along or had no choice but to go along

(25:51):
with the Hamas rule. And so we're coming up tomorrow, right,
is the two year anniversary of October seventh. The horrors
of that day and all of what we have witnessed
sins can be traced back to that decision by Hamas
to invade, to take the hostages, to slaughter innocent civilians.

(26:13):
Mostly of the twelve hundred Israelis they killed, most of
them were civilians. And so this is the fruits of
that poison tree. And Hamas doesn't seem ready to let go.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Yeah, well, we'll see what happens, It's gonna be an
interesting week with that. Hey, let me ask you about
the mayoral race this. You know, it looks like people
are starting to think when Adams dropped out, half those
votes might go to Cuomoa and half might go to Mamdani.
And there's this myth that if Curtis drops out, suddenly
Cuomo will get all those votes. Most of these Curtis

(26:47):
voters are not going to Cuomo. They'll pretty much just
stay home. What do you think?

Speaker 17 (26:53):
Look, I think that Cuomo probably benefited more from the
Adam's withdrawal, or will I should say when the votes
are actually tabulated. I mean Adams was running at about
ten percent in the polls. Half of that, of course,
will be five points for Cuomo. I suspect it'll be

(27:15):
more than that because it won't just be the Adams voters.
But I think the net effect of Adams dropping out
is it makes Cuomo look like has an easier path
to the election. Now, obviously you're right that if Fleawah

(27:36):
stays in and he's there's no reason to think he's
going to change his mind. Yet I still think it's
going to end up with Mom Donnie winning there's no
way that either one of them can top Mom Donni
who I think alone, because I think he's probably got
a floor of somewhere around forty percent, and so people

(28:00):
are going to divide the remaining sixty percent. Neither one
of them is going to get there the way it
looks now.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah. Now the other thing is, you know, uh, Deblasio,
people like that get elected because you got eighteen percent
twenty percent turnout and just the uh, the left turns out.
If you could go back to the good old days
of seventy five eighty percent turnout, don't you think that
could make a difference.

Speaker 17 (28:22):
Well, yes, a turnout could could swamp the you know
all these predictions. I mean, it is worth noting Mark
that when Rudy Giuliani and David Dinkins had their rematch
in nineteen ninety three, where Giuliani won, there were on
the order of one point eight to one point nine

(28:45):
million votes cast. In more recent and more recent elections,
there have been one point one million votes. Don't think
about that. The city has grown dramatically since nineteen ninety three,
by pro will be close to a million people, and
yet the voting totals are still far less. And so

(29:07):
if you were to get a big turnout, that the
perils of a big turnout are that there's enthusiasm, more
enthusiasms for Mom Donni than there is anyone else, And
so a big turnout could could actually mean more Mam
Donnie voters. So I think absent a two person race,

(29:29):
Mam Donni looks like inevitable from this point of view.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Well, we'll see what happens. The only thing that could
change the course of things might be the debate October sixteenth.

Speaker 17 (29:41):
That's true. And look, I think Cuomo has done a
better job of He's been more active and jumping on
these things with Mom Donnie. Some of the things Mamdani.
You know that the post cover today of Mamdani with
the Ugandan leader who hates gays, you have, you know,
with the whole issue of globalizing into fada. So there's

(30:07):
just there's just a lot. There are a lot of
ghosts or in Mom Donnie's closet, and I think they
could really hurt him, and I think Cuomo is doing
a better job of bringing them out and seizing on
it and highlighting it. So it really as a warning
to Mom Donnie voters Look, this is what you're buying.
This is this is the guy you're supporting. Really you

(30:29):
want this guy? Uh, particularly the young people on the left.
I mean you want to you want to get you
want to be in bed with some guy who who
who hangs around with people who hate and persecute gays?
Is that Is that what the New Revolution is about?
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
So.

Speaker 17 (30:46):
I think the question is, can mam Donnie survive what's
probably going to be a NonStop attack for the next month.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah. Well, Michael Goodwin, great stuff. You ever go read
his comments in Yesterday's New York Post. It's a on
the website about Hamas and Israel. It's a great column
and you can read them every Sunday every Wednesday in
the New York Post. Michael Goodwin, thanks for being.

Speaker 17 (31:08):
With us my place for Mark.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Thank you, take care. Hey. Coming up in the next hour, Oh,
Scott Shannon will be with us. In the next hour.
We'll get to Taylor Swift, we'll get the Mark Sanchez story.
We'll go over that, and we'll get to the mayoral
race again. We'll get to New Jersey. We'll get to
Donald Trump and the Navy speech. Boy that drove the
left nuts yesterday. We'll get to that. Coming up. We'll

(31:34):
get to Portland and Chicago and more. Just ahead on
seven to ten WR.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Mark Simo, the Issues you really care about?

Speaker 5 (31:43):
On seven ten WR.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Well, Hey, New York Yankees, I don't know what that
was all about. First game in Toronto is like eleven
and nothing. Second game in Toronto ninety seven and nothing
is It's like watching the New York Jets. I don't
know what the heck happened. Game three. Yankees could be
eliminated in Game three. It's tomorrow Night's not tonight, Tomorrow night,

(32:09):
eight o'clock at Yankee Stadium. Down two games. This is
not good, hey, Coming up in the next hour, we
got a lot to get to it, and don't forget.
At noon it's Buck Sexton and Klay Travis. This is
a very good show every day twelve noon to three.
Then you got the most listened to radio show in America.
Sean Hannity at three, got Jesse Kelly at six, and

(32:30):
Jimmy Fail a great show. You'll love his show every
night nine to midnight. I'm here every day ten to noon,
or listen anytime you want. Just get the podcast we'll
be back right after the news. Another hour to go
on seven to ten WR.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Mister new George Marks amountor well, hey, we'll get to
Mark Sanchez, We'll get to Taylor Swift, We'll get to
New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
We'll get to a lot this hour. Hey, you know Friday,
they're announcing the Nobel Peace Prize. Well, this one obvious
choice here. Donald Trump settled seven wars this year. Can
you name somebody else that ended seven wars this year?

(33:16):
I'll wait. Even the families of the Israeli hostages are
demanding the Nobel Peace Prize for Donald Trump. Now, the
Nobel Prize is a totally corrupt award has been for many, many,
many many years. It's not going to go to Donald Trump.
It's a slanted partisan award. Remember Obama got elected and

(33:42):
was immediately given the Nobel Peace Prize. He didn't even
start yet, he didn't take office yet. He just gave
it to him because he's a Democrat. Jimmy Carter Nobel
Peace Prize, and it's a totally corrupt award. Look at
the greatest example is Paul Krugman got to be the
single worst economist on Earth. Paul Krugman was that bug eyed,

(34:03):
weirdo economist for the New York Times for many, many,
many years, and Krugman hated Trump so much that anything
Trump did. Remember when Trump took office, he said, this
will be the biggest depression stock market crash we've ever seen.
And of course he was one thousand percent wrong. And Krugman,
as an economist, wrong every time for decades. He's like

(34:26):
zero for one thousand. He's always always wrong. Gets the
Nobel Peace Prize, gets the Nobel Prize for Economics, gets
the Bulleitzer Prize. They just so corrupt these things, So
don't expect Donald Trump to get it. On Friday, watch
the Chicago Mayor. We'll probably get it. The mayor of Chicago,

(34:46):
such a dirty, sleazy guy, woke left wing kook. The governor,
same thing, Pritzker. So the left getting more and more
violent assassinations, guns, all sorts of things. They're going after
Ice in Chicago this weekend. Ice is there to arrest

(35:07):
illegals and take them off the streets illegals, and these
left wing cook protesters are armed and they're gonna try
to take out these Ice guys. Get out. They have
a bunch of cars. They surround the ICE vehicles. They
box them in with their cars. These left wing cooks
that are armed with guns, and ICE goes to the

(35:31):
calls the local police for help. The local police are
about to respond and free Ice from this trap. But
I gotta assume it's the mayor of Chicago. The order
came directly from the police chief for the cops not
to respond. They've got the audio. They've gotten a hold
of the audio. The actual dispatches, by direction of the

(35:53):
Chief of police, do not respond, stand down, don't help
the ICE officers, stay a couple of blocks away, don't
get involved. Now that's pretty ugly stuff. That's pretty amazing.
You got to assume the mayor was behind it, and
possibly the governor. Now this is not the end of
this Trump administration will do something to these people. You

(36:16):
can't do that. You can't order the cops to stand down.
So what happened is the ICE officers had to defend themselves.
They had to pull out their guns. I think they
even fired a couple of shots, defensive shots. When that happened,
then they were able to capture these people, and these
terrible democratic lunatics were armed. They found semi automatic weapons

(36:38):
on them. The reason they fired is a couple of
them had drawn their weapons on ice. So this is
getting just totally out of control with the left. You know,
for a party that hates guns so much, you seem
to keep using them a lot. So you're going to
have to make an exist. Joe Peshi said in the casino,
these guys are just begging to be made an example of.

(36:58):
You're going to have to do something. He's whoever they
gave that order to stand down not to get involved.
Federal government will have to go after them, hopefully very
very very hard. Hey, President Trump, it was the two
hundred and fiftieth birthday of the United States Navy, So
President Trump went to Virginia to speak at this ceremony

(37:20):
and it was thousands of naval officers, military guys. And
there was very little coverage of this because it makes
the left wing sick to watch this, you know, because
when Trump shows up at a Navy event and there's
thousands of military guys, they cheer, they give them a
standing ovation, they cheer and cheer and cheer, and they
start chanting USA. And it makes the left sick when

(37:44):
they hear this. Oh God, you're never going to go
a Democratic rally or event and hear them cheating at
Cheering USA USA. You'll never hear that at the Democratic convention.
So hey, the mayoral race, Mom Donnie still has a lead.
Eric Adams is out of the race, but when the

(38:05):
new polling comes out it will very soon. Don't expect
the Adams votes to go to Cuomo. Expect some of
them to go to Cuomo and some of them to
go to Mom Donnie. Cuomo has been trying hard this week.
He was even on with Maria Bartiromo, and every time
she asked him a question, he would talk slow like
he always does, and a hey, it's only a one

(38:28):
hour show, could you talk a little faster. He did
a couple of events. I think this is him on Adams.

Speaker 7 (38:32):
I would like to have his support, but I have
been speaking to supporters of.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
The may Yeah. Why does he do that? It's supporters.
He was speaking to supporters. It's so slow.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
I would like to have a support, but I have
been speaking to supporters of the may Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
So now here's the thing. There's more of this push
to have Curtis drop out. If Curtis drops out, the
votes aren't going to Cuomo. Nobody hates Cuomo more than Curtis. Well,
actually that could be a million way tie. A lot
of people hate Cuomo, but his supporters do not like Cuomo.
If Curtis drops out, the supporters drop out, they're not

(39:14):
going to Cuomo. It could get a couple points of
but ninety percent of them are not going to Cuomo. Now,
the debate is coming up next week. It's next Thursday night.
It's October sixteenth. Actually it'll be up against the Al
Smith Dinner, which is not going to be so hot.
This year, they got the two most boring speakers. They
must have had a contest, who are the two people

(39:34):
nobody wants to hear speak? So the two speakers big
Al Smith Dinner this year. Last year was President Trump.
This year'll be Anthony Blincoln and Mike Pompeo. So the
debate will be on October sixteenth, not this week, next
week Thursday Night. That's if the race is going to change.
That's where it'll change. In that debate, it's Curtis's biggest moment.

(39:56):
That's where he's got to wipe out Mom. Donnie Quoma
in a debate talks too slow, so he's not going
to do anything. And we've seen Cuomo try to debate
Mam Donnie. It's a disaster. That's how Mam Donnie got
the nomination. There were two debates. First debate, he just
pounded a Cuomo into the ground and Cuomo could not

(40:19):
defend himself. And the second debate is the Cuomo team
gave all kinds of lines, all kinds of things to say,
lines to hit Mam Donnie with, and every time he did,
Mom Donnie came back so hard and just wiped out Cuomo.
So Culoma's gonna look very weak in that debate. Mam
Donnie's a good debater, don't kid yourself. He's great in

(40:41):
a debate. And Curtis is a professional debater for many, many,
many years. So these two guys will look great in
the debate. Cuomo will talk too slow. Cloma's like an old,
old dinosaur politician. He's running like a nineteen eighty six campaign.
Look at the Friday Big announcement. Oh, he was so
thrilled to announce the plumbers Union has endorsed him. It's

(41:06):
twenty twenty five. Nobody wants to hear about these union endorsements,
and we love plumbers if I got a problem with
my sink, I'm calling a plumber. If I need to
know who to vote for in a Maile race, I'm
not asking my plumber. Nobody has ever said to their plumber,
who do you think I should vote for?

Speaker 5 (41:23):
It?

Speaker 2 (41:24):
The plumbers Union endorsment means absolutely nothing. Here's Curtis, He's
been doing all He's out there campaigning day and night,
every day.

Speaker 18 (41:32):
I'm the only consistent candidate from beginning Dan law and order,
no cash, bail must go. We gotta keep Right Gas
Island open. So my Domian Cuomo want to close Right
Gas Island and it want no catch bail, which is
led to a disaster in New York City.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Now that's gonna come out in the debate. You know,
Cloma was trying to run as some sort of an
anti crime law and order guy. Not gonna work, Not
gonna work. Nobody was more awful on crime than Cuomo.
He created this crime wave. He's the guy that gave
us no bail, no jail. He's the guy that closed
all these prisons, let the prisoners out. He redid the
parole board, put on these left wing wackos. They let

(42:11):
everybody out, including forty six cop killers. So he's going
to have a very, very very rough time in that debate.
So you could be the end of Cuomo next Thursday night.
We'll see. I can't imagine he'll suddenly become a great debater.
I can't picture it. Odds are that's not going to happen. Hey,

(42:32):
you ever watched Bill Maher on Friday Nights. It's not bad,
it's pretty good. Bill Maher really went after Kamala Harris
and that stupid book she wrote. In the book where
she plays the victim everything, you know, everything was a
mess in that came. She made every mistake he making
a campaign. But in the book it's everybody else's fault.
As he said, the book should be called everyone Sucks

(42:54):
but Me. And he said she only had one hundred
and seven days to win, you know, that was the argue.
But he points out, yeah, but she had a billion
and a half dollars, an army of seventy five million
people behind her who would vote for anything that wasn't Trump.
She had endorsements from every celebrity in the world, the
backing of every president around. She lost the electoral College,

(43:17):
the popular vote, she lost everything. And despite her billion
and a half dollars ended up twenty million in debt somehow. So,
by the way, when he's attacking Kamala, you see all
these left wingers Van Jones sitting there kind of laughing
with him and kind of cheering them on. So forget Kamala.
She's out. Democrats have no use for her anymore. This

(43:44):
is bad news. This is not good news. You know,
every year when they say the Farmer's Almanac says we're
going to have a very cold winter, We're going to
have a lot of snow this winter. The good thing
is the Farmer's Almanac is always wrong. They're like ninety
two percent of time to get it wrong. So whenever
they say that, you can ignore it. This one's different.

(44:07):
This says expect more snow this year. This is from
acu Weather. Accu weather is the most reliable weather forecasting
service in the world. There's nobody better than acu Weather.
So we can't ignore this. They're predicting between seventeen and
twenty one inches of snow. We had thirteen inches last year,
so that's up from last year. It's still not bad.

(44:28):
It's still not bad. You know. Actually, our normal is
about twenty nine inches, so this is way below normal.
So that's good news. They say Buffalo will get the worst,
Buffalo ninety to one hundred inches of snow. Now, the
only good thing is ACU Weather points out that this
is a forecast and a lot of things could change,
so won't necessarily hold up. Oh hey, speaking of Bill

(44:51):
maher you know who was on there Bill Mahershaw is
Lewis c K Louis c K. I guess he's uncanceled.
You know, he was ca for a sexual misconduct, masturbating
in front of women. But there he was on Bill
mahersh show. They were happy to have him on audience, laughing, applauding, cheering.
He was there to promote his new book, which is

(45:12):
a novel. It's called Ingram, a novel. He got a
standing ovation when he came out, So I guess that's it.
He's uncanceled, you know, canceled. Culture was pretty brutal there
for a while, but looks like it may be over. Hey, oh,
this is the best story of the week. Next year
is the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, a birthday of America.

(45:34):
Two hundred and fiftieth birthday. President Trump has announced a
new coin will be issued next year. It's a silver dollar.
Remember they put out the JFK silver dollar. Next year
they'll put out a silver dollar with Donald Trump on it.
There will be a Donald Trump coin, a Donald Trump's
silver dollar. This is very important one for two reasons.

(46:00):
It'll drive the left nuts. They'll go absolutely insane over this.
This may be the breaking point. They may all end
up in asylums after. They'll go so insane over this coin.
The other thing is knowing Trump, he'll very smartly not
make enough of them, so they'll become very valuable everybody.

(46:21):
The first bunch of people get their hands on it.
It's a silver dollar, it'll go up in value. So
if there's not enough and you can't get one anymore,
you'll see it on eBay for twelve dollars. Then you'll
see it on eBay for three hundred dollars. Then they'll
be going for thousands of dollars. They become a valuable coin.
You know, It's like Rolex with those Daytona's. They make
very few of them, so you can't get one, and
then all of a sudden everybody has to have one.

(46:43):
So it will look for that next year. And if
you see it start whenever it starts, grab it right
away because it's going to go way way up in value. Hey, well,
take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two
one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
two one zeros.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
It's more Mark the Mark Simon Show.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
I'm w r. Hey, we have a little problem in
their phones. Everybody that had a problem, call us back,
call us back. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
how you doing. Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.

Speaker 19 (47:18):
I noticed over the weekend that Barbara Streisan was once
again worried about the end of democracy, saying, it's only
it's only about a year left until we're not democracy anymore.
But it's interesting because if you want to go see
one of her concerts, it's not very democratic. You have
to pay like, you know, four or five grand you know, all.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
Right, But in her defense, she's like eighty eight years
old whatever she is. You know, you ever have an
old relative, They sit at home all day, they get cranky,
everything's a problem, everything's a nightmare. Or you remember the
woman in Sunset Boulevard, the old lady. Yes, just this
would be like her mother streisand sitting there in Malibu
with you ever have to spent a whole day talking
to James Brolin or who she married.

Speaker 19 (47:56):
Yeah, it's so pathetic though, Jane Fonda and and Rob Reiner.
It's like, meanwhile, nobody shuts him up. I mean, so
apparently we're not a fascist, you know, undemocratic.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
But in their defense, they're one hundred years old. They
sit there watching ms and just see all day they're angry.
You know some people they sit there and yell about
the New York Jets and what's wrong with these people?
Yell about this stuff? So yeah, I don't worry. Don't worry.
That's what they do for fun. Let's go to Stuart
in South Carolina. Stuart, how you.

Speaker 14 (48:27):
Doing, hey, Mark Kroy You you know, we've talked many
times before, and you know, I've been in a loss
for forty eight years, and I'm going to tell you
what if my administration told me not to help my
brother officers in need, I would tell them, well, you
know what, I would tell them, And if they want
to fire me, fire me, and then I'll sue the
hell out of them. How dare they tell officers not

(48:49):
to go to the defense of Ice who are being surrounded.
It is the most outrageous thing I've ever heard of.
And you know, the entire state of Illinois went bail
free under Pritch. I mean, here's the worst thing that
ever happened to that state.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Yeah, Printzker, is that fat slob Jackie Gleason, Ralph kram
than looking the governor? Yeah, good point, Stuart, thanks for calling.
They actually told officers to not respond. Ice was being
surrounded by crazy nut Democrats with guns and semi automatic weapons.
The police were told, don't respond, Let's go to Uh,
Maureen Jackson Heights. Maureen, how you doing okay?

Speaker 10 (49:26):
Mark? Mark?

Speaker 15 (49:27):
I just I'm just curious. Why isn't this show that's
on after Jimmy Falla Why aren't they advertised during the day.
I'm just curious. Reason for it? What the medical show
that comes on after Jimmy Faller on wo or Jimmy Fayle, Right,
and then after the doctor show there's another show that

(49:50):
comes on. Usually it's about aliens and things like that.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
You kind of like that Flying Saucers show.

Speaker 15 (49:55):
Huh No, No, I don't know, I don't I usually
turn off Thirydeo after Jimmy Fallace.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
How many years will it take you to say Jimmy Fayla.

Speaker 15 (50:07):
Jimmy Faylor whatever.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
It's like?

Speaker 15 (50:11):
Yeah, Mandani, Well, I don't want to talk about him.
So this is why I just wanted. I was just
curious as to why these shows aren't advertised?

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Can I be totally honest?

Speaker 15 (50:22):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (50:23):
I didn't even know what was on after Jimmy Fayler.
I didn't know myself. Thanks, thanks for calling. Let's go
to Wendy in Long Island. Wendy, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (50:33):
I'm doing great, Mark. I've been listening to your show
for decades and I know you're not that old that
I am. So I have a winning line for Curtis,
I think in the debate, and if he could some No,
it's true.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
I'm sure it's great.

Speaker 4 (50:46):
Yeah, no, no, no, listen, no, it's going to be great.
Somehow point out that all of the social programs that
we have is because of capitalism, and without capitalism we
wouldn't be able to take care of and feed and
do the things that we need to do to the
people who need it.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
All right, it's hard to fit all that on a
bumper sticker, but I'll pass it along. Tim where are
you in Long Island?

Speaker 4 (51:07):
So I live in Huntington.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
I love hunting hunting You ever go to Prime or
Postal Pozzo or all those great restaurants you have.

Speaker 4 (51:14):
Yeah, I'm not so much of a steak either, a
couple of times a year.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
But everything seafood now, all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (51:19):
Yeah, no, it's it's awesome. It's it's like the way
maybe New York City might have been at one.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Point in time Postal Pozzo across the street, the greatest
pizza and everything, and the food is great.

Speaker 4 (51:29):
It is the best of a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
Huntington. You got the paramount, you got all this great.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
Oh awesome.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Yeah, okay, very good, thanks for calling. Let's go to
h Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.

Speaker 5 (51:43):
Good morning Mark, Mark, I'm okay, Good morning, Mara. Mark.
This is the nine hundred pound gorilla in the room
that you touched the pond when you said that. On
the post, there's a picture of Mandami meeting with the
leader of Uganda, who believes that games should be hanged
by Jerry Pickers, Mark Mandami is a Democrat, but he's

(52:05):
a Muslim first. He's an Islemist first, and that is
different from being a Protestant Democrat a Jewish Democrat. They do.
The Islamists do not believe in Western values. I had
to go to my dentist last week in emergency on
Bay Parkway, in the heart of Baby Ridge, and you

(52:29):
see twenty year old young girls dressed in the folk
Burger in black from head to toe with hoods on
like they used to use.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
That's okay, I mean, it's.

Speaker 5 (52:41):
Not okay if they're treating people in this day and age.
They're treating women like chattle.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
And in this kind of anti woman, that kind of stuff.

Speaker 5 (52:52):
Yeah, that is anti woman, I mean. And people want
to vote for this, the Democrats in this city awards
complaining about women's rights, that so called Republicans want to
take away women's rights with the with the Islamists and
the Muslims. That's in the mix, that's baked in the cake.

(53:14):
Bondami may say that Trump is against queers, as he said,
which by.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
The way, I don't say queers. Do we say queers now.

Speaker 5 (53:23):
No, we don't. He does, yeah, but we don't use
it anymore. We say gay people.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
But Vincent, there's so many more reasons to hate Mom Donny,
just the crazy socialist stuff, the left wing, yeah, which
that anti cops stuff.

Speaker 5 (53:41):
Has affected Italy. Mark last week, all these kids, the
Italian brainwashed kids, shut down Italy yesterday. They shut down
the naval ports, they shut down the train station, they
shut down the highways. They were rioting with cops. Fifty
five cops had to go to the hospital. Business stopped

(54:03):
two times last week in Italy. And that's because politicians
like him have infected the body politics of the Italian government.
And that's what you got.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
Hey, I know some people going to Italy for a
vacation next week, is it.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
Well, don't go please, don't go to Rome, don't go
to Milans, go to Naples, go to copper you go
to one of the islands there where the kids can't
probably afford to pay the very fair. Last week it
was terrible. It was urban warfare there and I know

(54:40):
all the spots. In fact, one of the train stations
that they took over is across the street from a
luxury hotel that me and my girlfriend often went to.
There was really, really, really bad, and you could thank
the Demo. It's the worldwide democratic left, not only in
this country, across this country, across the world being funded

(55:06):
by SOPs like George Soros in his zilk. Don't trust
this Mondami. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's the
nine hundred pound guerrilla in the room.

Speaker 2 (55:17):
All right, great, Vincent, excellent call, Thanks for calling. Hey,
when we come back, Scott Shannon, the legend. He'll be
with us next on seven to ten WR.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
Give WR a Bri said on the iHeart Radio app
to hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in
an instance, go back to the Mark Simo Show on WR.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Well with us right now, the legend himself, Scott Shannon,
the greatest living DJ. Of course you can hear him
on the True Oldies channel. And great to have him
back with us. Scott Shannon, how you doing.

Speaker 13 (55:54):
Mark Simone on the Big seven to ten wor Hey,
by the way, congratulations on being number one again in
your time slot. You are amazing.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
Wow, Well coming from you, that's like Joe Dimagio telling
you you're a good hitter. Hey, I alse forgot you're the
voice of the Sean Hannity Show. Everybody recognizes that voice.

Speaker 13 (56:15):
Sean Hannity is on right now.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
Hey, Hey start Taylor Swift. How big was this debut,
this album.

Speaker 13 (56:25):
Well it was the biggest news, almost the biggest news
of the weekend. She unleashed her new album, The Life
of a Showgirl, and a lot of critics thought, you
run out of gas. I'm not kidding you. I know
people who are students in that world, and they predicted
that she was on the downslope. But it turns out

(56:47):
she's bigger than ever.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
Well she is thirty five. Isn't that like a turning
point for a pop star?

Speaker 13 (56:53):
Well supposed to be, but she takes see what happens
in that world of teenagers and fans of some of
the girly kind of stars out there, they move on
to the next whoever is And with Taylor Swift, she
takes her fans with her. Now. I mean, if you

(57:16):
talk to a woman in her thirties, maybe even early forties,
they know who she is and a lot of them
are big fans, especially if they went to see her
on that big tour. I know people that had no
love whatsoever for Taylor Swift had to take their kids
or their grandkids to see one of those shows and

(57:37):
they came back a fan.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
Now you've known them all, would you say she is
the smartest business wise, marketing wise, of all of them.

Speaker 13 (57:47):
I gotta tell there's nobody in her category right now.
I mean you see a lot of these stars that
these young girls, they get out there, they have a
couple of hits, and then they disappear. I mean they
battled to stay you know, relevant, but it doesn't happen.
She's bigger than ever. I mean, just when they thought
she'd run out of gas, she's bigger than ever. And

(58:09):
on Friday she sold two point seven million albums, and
then for the whole weekend. I mean it's over the top.
And on top of that, a lot of people didn't
even know about this. She had the number one movie
and the theaters he at that.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
It's not just the album. She came out with sweaters,
shirts and mittens. I mean every kind of merchandising all
in one day. It's brilliant, isn't it.

Speaker 13 (58:36):
You know the rock thought he was going to make
it big with this new movie is the Smashing Machine.
He got buried. I mean this is a movie, it's
about eighty minutes long, and it's all about the new album.
And they I mean it was huge, I mean not
just in America, all around the world people went in

(59:00):
and see them see that thing.

Speaker 2 (59:02):
When did you first meet Taylor Swift?

Speaker 13 (59:04):
I met her when she was a country singer and
her dad brought her by PLJ when I was working there,
and they just the record promotion guy wanted to impress
the label and the people that they knew, you know,
Stars and Scott and Todd on PLJ, and she came
by and she played this song called Teardrops on my

(59:28):
guitar and it was her first hit the country, and
she brought a copy of and I had never heard
it at that point, and I asked her dad if
would be all right if we play it, and he
I thought it was going to jump up and kiss me,
you know, because no other top forty stations were playing

(59:50):
the song at the time, and so we put it
on and later even added it to the playlist and
that was and she always stayed in touch since then.
Anytime we needed an interview, she was there. Even when
I was working at CBSFM, she came by. We didn't
we don't play Taylor Swift on that station. She came

(01:00:13):
by and just wanted to say hi and take me
and it was it was great. She's a she's a
very special person. I mean she somehow manages I mean
that tour that she was on. You don't see regular
singers and artists go out there like she did and
just nail it every night. That was a very complicated,

(01:00:38):
behind the scenes tour to do. I mean, if you
if you've ever seen a video of it or anything else,
it's highly choreographed and there's people everywhere. You got to
be on your spot, they're coming out of the floor
and it's just and then she did the whole show,
I mean every night, and not just in America, all

(01:00:58):
around the world. She had bigger She had bigger crowds
in Europe than she did here because they have those
they have the big football stadium that see a lot
more people than than you know, like where the Giants
and the Jets play or try to play.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Well. Hey, Scott Schennon, you know all these football players.
What the hell's the deal? What's the deal with this
Mark Sanchez? What is he nuts?

Speaker 13 (01:01:23):
Oh, that's the craziest damn story of the week. I mean,
this is nuts and Indianapolis of all places. I mean,
he's been pretty quiet, by the way. He's pretty good
at what he does.

Speaker 11 (01:01:37):
A lot of these.

Speaker 13 (01:01:38):
Jocks convert to television and they don't make it. You know,
they'll do a year or two and then they suddenly
disappear from CBS or Fox Sports. But this guy's pretty good.
And he was in Indianapolis to call a Raiders Colts game.
And I don't I mean, when they first put it

(01:01:59):
on the news that no, damn idea, what the hell
what happened? Because he was drinking in a bar. They're
very popular place too, it's it's a Lawmailler's Pub, and
for some reason, I guess it was after midnight, he
went wandering out of the pub and for some reason

(01:02:22):
he wanted to talk to this truck driver sixty nine
years old who was there to pick up the grease
from the kitchen of the hotel which is right next
to right near this pub. And then Mark decides he's
going to be a traffic director and get out there

(01:02:42):
and tell him he can't park or he's parking, which
he parks there all the time, and the whole thing
evolved into a fight. The guy's sixty nine years old,
which is not old, but it's you know, when you're
a six foot two, two hundred and thirty pound x quarterback.
You know that's a little dangerous. And the guy, to

(01:03:02):
make things worse, he didn't he needs a hearing a
but he didn't have it in because when he's working,
it doesn't work very well, or something like that, his
family said. And then there's a picture. Have you seen
the picture in the post today of the guy, Not
of Mark, but of the guy he beat the crap

(01:03:23):
out of And he's got he's got stitches in his
lip and it's all over both lips and he's got
a big stitch on the left side of his face.
I don't know how he got and I guess he
hit him in the mouth and it went through his cheeks.
And you know, you don't need to know all that.
But and then they say that he was so he

(01:03:46):
stunk of alcohol and he was slurring his words and uh.
And the funny thing about it when you first heard it,
when someone says Mark Mark Sanchez got stabbed by a guy.
And then they said the police arrested him, You go, what,
he's the victim and he's you know, he's he was

(01:04:10):
in that. They went to the hospital to arrest him.
They got him on like four or five charges. But
they said he was drinking. He was he was walleyed.
I don't know if you remember that or not, that
term walleye when you can't walk straight. And and the
police said when they interviewed him, he didn't remember what happened,

(01:04:31):
who stabbed him for even where it happened.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
I don't think we'll see him for a while on
any of this.

Speaker 13 (01:04:37):
No, I don't think he's going to be the Fox
hasn't announced it to my knowledge, But I don't know
if he's going to go back on TV. But remember
when he was a super stud, when he was here
in New York playing for the Jets. Yeah, he dated
Kate Upton, that beautiful model, Jamie Lin Sigler. He was

(01:05:01):
hanging out with her, and he had a long relationship
with Ava Longoria on her one of her boy toys.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Hey, we only have a minute a half left. I
want to ask you, I hate to ask you this.
What's what's gonna happen with the New York Yankees?

Speaker 13 (01:05:14):
I got I got a question for you, A simple question.
Do you think anyone has ever been happier to get
the hell out of Canada than the New York Yankees
last night?

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (01:05:25):
But what a his answer? Two games to play, they
were favored to win both of them by the you know,
the baseball experts. And in the two games, the Blue
Jays scored what twenty three runs and the Yankees scored eight.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
So what makes you think it'll be any better at
Yankee Stadium?

Speaker 13 (01:05:45):
Well, it's it's their home turf, and they can't suck
that bad three games in a row. The game three
tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium, they got to win it.
They got a winner. They're done. Yeah, it doesn't look good, no,
but but they got a chance. They'll probably bounce back.
And I'm not saying that they're done. I'm just saying,

(01:06:07):
what the hell of a way to start a series.
But if you think about it, New York City as
the sports capital of the world, we got two Major
League Baseball teams, one of them didn't even make the postseason,
the others on the brink are going home. We got
two NFL football teams, and right now, one of them,
the Jets, can't beat anybody they play. They're zero to five,

(01:06:31):
and the other team just lost to another team that
couldn't beat anybody. Danny couldn't beat anybody till they played
the Giants.

Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
Anyway, Well, hey, tell people where they go to hear
the True Oldies Channel.

Speaker 13 (01:06:45):
True Oldie's Channel is on and blasting the greatest hints.
We played the Beatles of Stones, the Four Seasons, and Motown,
the songs that you can't hear anywhere else unless unless
you're paying for him on you know, on satellite. But
you can. You can just talk to your Alexa and say,
Alexa played a True Oldies channel, or you gonna hear

(01:07:07):
us on ninety two to three FM HD three which
is loud and clear, or I just go to Scott
Channon dot com gives you all the directions right there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Yeah, you're going with us.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
So a federal judges rule Trump cannot send troops into Portland,
can't send the National Guard. She ruled against him. Now
this will get overturned at some point, and straight now
you got to do something about this crime in Portland. Now,
they'll always say in the news and it was a
Trump appointed judge. And as always point out to you,
don't fall for that whenever they try to justify a judge, well,

(01:08:17):
Trump appointed when they say Trump appointed US attorney, Trump
appointed judge. Most of the time, he has no idea
who they are and it wasn't really his choice. In
cases like that, you rely on the local senators to
recommend names for you, and it's generally it's just customary.
You go with whoever they approve. I mean, if it's

(01:08:38):
somebody New York or Washington, d C. Maybe you look
more carefully. But he doesn't actually select these people or
know who they are. We're out of time, don't go away.
Buck and Clay are coming up next. They got a
great show for you. Right after the news. Then Sean
Hannity three o'clock, the most listen to radio show in America,
