Ken Rosato fills in for Mark Simone. Some California wildfire responses have faced criticism after claims that access restrictions in certain protected areas were due to liberals' limited early firefighting efforts, though these allegations are still under review, and officials cite weather and dry conditions as key factors in the fires’ spread. President Trump signed an executive order making Dec. 24 and Dec. 26 federal closure days for 2025, giving federal workers additional time off around Christmas without permanently changing the holiday calendar. Ken takes your calls!  Crude oil prices have dropped to under $55 a barrel. Gas has fallen below $3.00 in most parts of the country. Gas prices falling could help the consumer save more money in the future.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten. Woor
filling in for Mark. Here's Ken Rosatta.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
And a very good morning to you. The end of
the week is here. Yes, please excuse the frog in
my throat. I was on a plane the other day
and of course everybody around me was hacking up along
and I said, I'm going to get something. I know
it so with me, it settles in my vocal cords.
It always has And don't worry about it doesn't hurt,
feels fine. It just sounds kind of weird, so I

(00:28):
don't think. Who is this. It's Brenda Avicaro coming to
you live anyway, It's good to be here. Six days
till Christmas. You could feel the spirit in the air.
Three more days of Hankku. Mark is off today. Hope
you enjoy your time off. Brother. Ken Rosatto in and
we have a lot to talk about. First off, did
you guys hear about what is going on in Los Angeles?

(00:49):
It is unbelievable now with the fires that they had
there earlier in the year. Apparently firefighters wanted to go
in to investigate this one setection of the mountain where
there was smoke, but because of environmentalist wackos who control
that part of California. The California State Parks had restricted

(01:12):
firefighting operations in an area that is designated an avoidance area.
See because in the mind of a liberal environmentalist, In
an environmentalist brain, you don't matter. Humans come ninety seventh
on the list of importance. It's about the uga uga
fish and the maluluca tree and nature and earth, and

(01:35):
you are scum. You shouldn't even be here. How dare
you be part of the world? You human? So this
is the liberal environmentalist mind at work. And so as
a result the fire, where the firefighters wanted to go
in and investigate the smoke, it was allowed to fester,
and that is likely what led to a much larger

(01:56):
fire that resulted in deaths and billions of dollars of
property damage, destroying a good chunk of that beautiful part
of southern California. Once again, liberals destroying a beautiful thing
because they are just nuts. For them, environmentalism is not
a cause. It is a religion. Many of the arch

(02:16):
liberals don't have religion in their minds, in their hearts,
so they have substituted things like environmentalism for their faith.
As a result if you try to tell them that
they're crazy that climate changes and naturally cause thing. It's
like if you're Christian, them telling you, you know, Jesus
is just a myth. I mean it hits you to
the heart, to the heart, right to the core, or

(02:38):
saying to somebody who's Jewish, yeah, the whole thing was
made up six thousand years ago. I mean it's offensive,
it's somebody sensitive to the core. It is something you feel.
And for an environmentalist, this is what environmentalism is to them.
It is a religion. So they don't care. They don't
care if thousands of humans are put at risk, if

(03:00):
thousands of homes are destroyed, because this is an avoidance area.
Don't you understand we have to protect our wildlife here.
And the result was bigions and damage. But this is
what happens when you let liberals take charge. Seven to
ten WR, The Voice of New York hen Rostto went
from Mark on your Friday, what confusion in the Brown

(03:21):
University case? Sorry, let's go over try to summarize it,
because I kind of went over my notes today and
I thought, what the heck does this all mean? So
this is what I got The suspect in the Brown
University mass shooting now appears to have killed himself. Pardon me.
His name is Claudio Valente. He's a forty eight year
old former Brown student. He was there one year in

(03:44):
the early two thousands. He is a Portuguese national, but
he came here legally. He was found dead from self
inflicted wounds gunshot to that and others. He shot himself
at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire, and next
to him was a satchel, two firearms and evidence matching
the crime scene. Now, investigators say they have no idea

(04:04):
why the suspect targeted the university, But officials say Valente
killed two students and injured nine others, and also traveled
fifty miles away to Brookline, Massachusetts and killed a an
mit professor whom he knew. And he may have even
studied with this guy in Portugal and may have been

(04:25):
a roommate of this guy either in Portugal or at
Brown University. So they're still trying to put together the details.
But nonetheless something to point out that Nevis was admitted
into the US legally but under the very liberal diversity
dv ie visa program that appears to be totally out
of control. Basically, if you apply with this program, you're in.

(04:47):
It's also called the Green Card Lottery. It was meant
to quote diversify the US because we're clearly not a
divers nation right now. In case you haven't checked, fifty
five thousand people take part in this lottery every year.
But the Homeland Security Secretary says she is now recommending
to the President that the program be paused. And you
can understand why. It's because these people aren't getting vetted.

(05:10):
It's like, well, if we can't go in this door,
let's go in that door, and these stupid Americans will
light us in. And that seems to be what happened.
And he got in under the wire, nobody vetting to
see if there was anything psychologically wrong with him. We
know nothing about this guy, nothing except you wanted to
study here, Okay, come on in and study. And this
is what happens. So now two Americans are dead. Seven

(05:32):
ten wr the Voice of New York. Hey show me
your friends, I will show you your future Zoron. Mundani's
not even in office yet and one of his appointees
has already had to resign in disgrace due to what
many are calling a history of social media jew hating.
Now the New York Post is reporting that in twenty eleven,

(05:52):
when she was eighteen, the paper reports that Catherine Almonte
da Costa posted several offensive anti Jewish posts that I
will not dignify by repeating here. And here's the irony.
This woman, Catherine, would end up marrying a Jewish man,
a man born to a Jewish mother, so he is
Jewish by definition and Judaism maternally Jewish, and they have

(06:14):
children together, and I believe I read that the children
are being raised Jews. So yes, the posts were made
fourteen years ago. But did her feelings really change? I mean,
maybe she's in love with the guy but still holds
hy stereotypes in her heart. And were there any posts
after that period that we haven't seen yet? You never know,
you know what happens. They post some posts now and

(06:36):
then eventually other posts come out. Well, either way, it
doesn't look good when it comes to Mamdani's judgment and
the millions of Jewish New Yorkers, both those who voted
for Mamdani, which I will never understand, and those who
did not will be looking at every move Mamdani makes
with suspicion, and rightfully so seven to ten. W. R.

(06:56):
Ken Rosatto in for Mark, excuse the laryngitis eight hundred
and three two one zero seven ten, eight hundred and
three to two to one zero seven ten. You know,
for all the people who hate Christmas and people who
observe it, they sure don't seem to complain about the
day being a federal holiday and getting the day off
from work. Of course, they're like, ah, these Christians, whatever

(07:17):
they want to do Christmas, as long as I get
the day off. Well, if you have not heard, President
Trump has now signed an executive order creating two additional
federal holidays. Now those holidays will flank Christmas on either day,
ostensibly to give families more time together for the holidays.
So effective immediately, Christmas Eve is a federal holiday, Christmas

(07:39):
Day is a federal holiday, and the day after the
twenty sixth all designated federal holidays. Now, in fairness, Congress
had designated the twenty fifth a federal holiday like almost
two centuries ago. It was only by executive fiat that
Christmas Eve and the day after have been designated that way.
But I'm sure in the next year or song will

(08:00):
be asked to codify it into law so that future
presidents can't negate it. But why not? You know what, Look,
even if you're not Christian, you don't believe in Christianity,
you don't believe in christ, you don't believe in Christmas.
We all need a period like that, three days that
are set aside where we could just just decompress and

(08:21):
spend time with loved ones, because you need to do
a reset. How often do we have And I recently
had a death in the family, My father in law
passed away rather unexpectedly. And it's times like that that
you realize the last time we had a picture together
was you know, fourth is July. So you take for

(08:41):
granted the times you spend together, they're too few and
far between. So take advantage of having three days off
to force yourself to reset and spend time with people
whom you love or even if you argue with and
you tolerate, you know what, there's always something good you
could find in that person, and you never know you
might learn something from them. I have, I've been, I've

(09:03):
approached many situations in the past as and know it
all thinking, Ah, this person doesn't know what they're talking about.
And it turns out I have learned a lot from
those people, and not bad stuff, good stuff. So give
yourselves time, spend time with your loved ones, even you're
not so loved ones, and try to learn and enjoy
the extra days off. Courtesy Orange Man Bad if you're

(09:24):
a liberal. A strange new information regarding Nick Reiner, the
son of Rob and Michelle Singer. Reiner reportedly approached a
number of A list celebs at the Conan O'Brien Christmas
party hours before he allegedly murdered his parents and allegedly
asked them all three questions. So Nick allegedly went up
to the celebs at the Christmas party and asked, what's

(09:44):
your name, what's your last name? And are you famous?
Kind of weird, right, We don't know why he did that,
but he did this. This according to several sources at
the party, and authorities say the younger Reiner has a
history of drug addiction and mental challenges. So this will
all be part of the investigation. I'm sure it's ten
fifteen right now. Seven ten wore the voice of New

(10:08):
York Ken Risotto went from mark a all a nasty weather,
the wind, the rain. With the milder quote unquote temperatures,
we could even see some thunder. It's going to be
really windy all day, even as the temperatures get cooler
tonight but partly cloudy later in the day. The rain
should end. Highes in the mid fifties through the day. Oh,

(10:28):
the artistic liberals in DC are beside themselves. It is
pearl clutching time, my friends. They're going to love this.
The Kennedy Center, if you haven't caught this, has been
renamed the Trump Kennedy Center. Yes, President Trump's name comes first.
This was voted on by the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees.

(10:48):
I mean, I know liberals who refuse to call Reagan
national Reagan national. They call it National Airport. Still, now,
why was this done?

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Well?

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Number one, President Trump is the chairman of the boar,
so that doesn't hurt. But they did it because the
Kennedy Center, in typical liberal fashion, they all love to
claim something for their own, but they don't love to
dig deep in their pockets. They want you to pay.
So the Kennedy Center was turning into disrepair, being run
into the ground and the very liberals who claimed to
love the arts so much weren't getting any donations to

(11:19):
support the place, so it was literally falling apart. Answer
President Trump, he became the chairman of the Kennedy Center Board,
and he managed to immediately raise a record twenty three
million dollars in private donations for the first year alone.
Then he got Congress to write in two hundred and
fifty million dollars for massive building renovations. Remember what Trump

(11:42):
does best. Mark talks about this all the time. Trump
is one of the best builders in the world. If
anybody knows how to take a look at a building
and tell immediately what needs to be done and do
it for the best price, it's Donald Trump. Pardon me.
So he took a look at the building and said, ah,
this needs redoing. That needs redoing. The Kennedy Center, excuse me.

(12:03):
The Trump Kennedy Center will be gorgeous when all is
said and done. And this really irks the liberals because
this is one of their temples. This is like an
epicenter of arts and humanities, and an evil Orange man
will touch our temple. Oh Heaven forbid. So thanks to
Donald Trump, the Trump Kennedy Center will once again be

(12:23):
a world class facility operating financially in the black. And
that's why the board rightfully added his name. Of course,
liberal members of the Kennedy family are screaming now this
name change was done illegally. Kennedy would be rolling over.
President Kennedy would be rolling over in his grave.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
You can't do this.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Congress named it the Kennedy Center in honor for a
fallen president. Well, under the way that the charter was written,
the board does have the right to everything. It says
nowhere that the charter in the charter rather that the
board does not have the right to change the name.
So if you don't like it, change the charter and
the board now runs the charter. So sorry, it is

(13:06):
what it is. The place would have probably been forced
to shut down if not for the president's actions. Seven
ten wowar the voice of New York. Hey, all you
Swifties and you know who you are. Have you heard
what iconic star Taylor Swift did for the people who
work for her. Swift's Eras music tour generated two billion

(13:27):
dollars in revenue. Can you imagine? And Swift decided, in
the spirit of the holidays to share nearly ten percent
of that money with her two hundred or so staff members. Yeah,
that's right. So they will share one hundred and ninety
seven million dollars in bonuses. We're not talking of fifty dollars,
you know, gift card folks. Dancers who work for Taylor

(13:51):
Swift to dance around her on stage, they will get
a bonus of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars this
year alone. These people whose salaries are about one hundred
and fifty thousand, so the bonus is five times their salary.
That's insane, but good for her. Even truck drivers guys
who and women I guess too, who drive all of

(14:14):
the stages and whatnot from a concert venue to concert venue.
They usually make about one hundred thousand a year. Well,
they get double their salary. They're going to get one
hundred thousand dollars bonus. Can you imagine? This is what
Taylor Swift did. So they will have double their annual salaries.
In that case, that is a happy holiday ten nineteen
right now, seven to ten wor the Voice of New York.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Notice how the left wing legacy media reported on President
Trump's address to the Nation on Wednesday night. As usual,
they fact checked every word and whenever a statement could
have gone either way based on opinion, they judged what
President Trump said to be a lie. Well, one thing
President Trump said was that inflation was down, and what

(14:58):
he meant was the race of increase is down. But
either way it's down. Mainstream media immediately shot this down.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Is false lies, He's a liar.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Then something happened. Facts were presented. As of yesterday, the
official government numbers show inflation has dropped to a four
year low for the month of November, from three percent
to two point seven percent. So, yes, Donald Trump was correct.
Inflation is down, Prices are dropping, albeit slowly. Yes, things
are still too expensive, but things are coming down. The

(15:32):
so called experts immediately threw water on the numbers, calling
November not a usual month because we had the government
shut down. But the numbers are what the numbers are.
And you know that if Biden were still president, they
wouldn't throw water on his numbers. But of course, when
it's orange man bad, you have to throw water on them.
And if you like President Trump, how about another term.
Forum Constitutional law expert and former Harvard law professor Allan Deershowitz,

(15:57):
a lifelong Democrat, told President Trump it might be legal
for him to run for a third term. You heard
this right. This has got to make the left absolutely
going crazily apoplectic with conspiracies right now. Dershowitz says the
twenty second Amendment says there are loopholes, apparently because it

(16:17):
specifically states no person shall be elected to the office
of president more than twice. But constitutionally, the electoral College
does not elect a president. They choose a president we elect.
So if they were to fail to produce a winner
through the electoral College, the House of Representatives would then

(16:37):
select a president, not elect a president. So technically, if
we have a Republican majority in the House, the House
could select Donald Trump and he could be president. That
was one of several ways presented, but I don't think
it's going anywhere. It was just enough to sell books
for Alan Dushowitz and enough to make the liberals crazy.
Seven to ten wor the Voice of New York. We'd

(16:59):
love to hear from you, So give us a call
right now. Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten, Please forgive
my laryngitis. Ken Rosatto live for Mark on this Friday.
We're coming right back.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Filling in for Mark. Here again is Ken Rosatto.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
And good to be with you on your Friday at
the holiday time. The phone lines are wide open right now.
One eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
One eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
And a quick shout out and congratulations to a friend
of mine whose mother, Johanna, just became a US citizen
within the last hour. She went down to the federal

(17:42):
court there in Newark, New Jersey, and she waited ten
years and did it legally, did it the right way,
never did it illegally, and she is our one of
our newest US citizens. Congratulations. Yes, folks, all those who
say Ken have a heart. They're all the same, whether
they're here legally or not. No, this is why it's
so offensive to people who do it the legal way

(18:02):
and they wait ten years. It's like cutting the line
and giving them the finger. Don't do that. You can
be a productive US citizen doing it legally. Seven ten
w R. Let's go to our busy phones, Doctor John
and Newark. Good morning, Happy holidays.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Hello, do you hear me?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Yes, sir, I do great?

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Okay, Well, look, God, I have a sort of a
message for everybody. In my opinion. I'm a professor at
their Rutgers Medical School, and both the Democrats and Republicans
have made efforts, but they both agree on one thing.
We need to solve the problem of American medicine costing

(18:43):
US nineteen percent of our GDP. We die younger than
thirty six other countries. There are countries that pay the
governments pay less than two percent of GDP, and they
live six years longer than us, and they're rated thirty
one flats higher than we are by the World's Healthhold Organization.
Now I know how this is done, because I've worked

(19:04):
in the number one rated country in the world, and
I've lectured in several of these countries that are in
the top seven. I know how it is done. I
know how it can be done, but nobody gives it
damn in the United States. I've sent letters on multiple
occasion to Monck, Trump and Kennedy. Nobody got back to me.

(19:27):
Then I started sending it to the Democrats. They don't
care either. Now, why don't they care because so many
billionaires are invested in the American insurance. No American insurance.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I don't have any art. I'm waiting for an argument.
I'm like, no, Doc is right, you're at present. Every
doctor I've spoken too says the exact same thing too.
There is so much money in this to be made
by so many people that you just don't have. And
I heard the Windshow wife persian poor doc Ill. Let
him focus on driving. Doctor, I don't disagree with you
at all. In fact, get your number. We'll get the number.

(19:59):
Here is he at the station. Here, We'll get your number.
We're gonna get you in touch with a congress member
because I'm sure if President Trump got the word directly,
more would be done. This is something that could affect
the Republicans for the midterms, so they will want to
get involved in this. But doctor John is not wrong
on so many levels. Why though, is our life expectancy down?

(20:21):
We'll don't forget versus a country like Sweden or even
Italy or Spain or Ireland. America is so multicultural, and
we have such a huge number of people who come
here impoverished third world countries. And I'm not singling anyone out.
But the reality is we are a much more diverse country.
And so when you get somebody who comes from a
country that may not have all their shots, may not

(20:43):
have all the same nutrition, once they get here, sure
we're going to have a lower survival rate, We're going
to have a higher infant mortality rate. That definitely has
an impact on our numbers. And then, don't forget it
turns out that we've been getting screwed, if you will,
by a lot in the industry over the years, because
we've been paying higher prices for our medicine and for

(21:05):
medical treatment in essence to subsidize in the other countries.
And finally, you look at the other countries, and we
have been subsidizing them by providing military so that they
can afford to give their people whatever, free universities, free healthcare,
while we are paying to defend them, and they are
saving billions and billions of dollars. Seven ten WR The

(21:26):
Voice of New York.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Kin from Mark Today, Here's Ken Rosatto and it's.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Our good to be with you. Yay, Happy Friday, Happy Holidays.
We're just past the halfway point for Hanukah, and we
got Christmas just six days away. Have you done your
shopping yet? Man, oh man, if you haven't. Coming up
an hour from now, we'll be talking to a guy
who knows all things tech and gadgets. He is His
name is Fisher, and I use him on the show

(21:56):
I do in New Jersey on the channel I'm on
New Jersey. I'll use him all the time. He gets
these great things, these great bargains you're going to want
to know about. He's also going to talk about little hacks,
credit card tricks, and how to protect yourself with the
credit cards over the holidays, also to use up those
points before the end of the year in some cases

(22:17):
they expire. So that's all coming up just about fifty
eight minutes, not to be that precise, but fifty eight
minutes from now with Fisher. He'll be on with all
that info. You give us a call if you'd like.
We were supposed to have Roger Friedman on. Now. If
Roger's out there, maybe he got his time and mixed up. Roger,
give us a call. We need to have you on.
So Roger Friedman from Showbiz four to one one was

(22:37):
going to call in we're looking for him right now.
In the meantime, we'll use this time for you if
you'd like to give us a call. It's eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred three
two one zero seven ten. Hey, check this out. Crude
oil prices have dropped to under fifty five dollars a
barrel now. That has been translating to lower prices at

(23:01):
the pump. The price per gallon of regular gas has
fallen below three dollars a gallon in almost every state,
and even below two dollars a gallon in a few places,
and that will definitely have an impact on the price
of everything, because everything you buy is transported. Think about it.

(23:21):
You have the trucks with produce and chickens, and they
all drive, and the driver has to buy the gas,
and that price has to be passed on everything. Even
home heating oil comes from crude oil natural gas. It's
a different source, but nonetheless it's all connected. Put it
this way, if people are getting cheaper oil prices to

(23:43):
heat their home, there will be less reliance on natural gas,
so there'll be greater supply, et cetera. The price comes down,
So this impacts our overall price, overall all right, for everything.
Listen to what the slime bags in Trenton, New Jersey
have done. I'm no friend of the state legislators in
New Jersey. I'm shocked they haven't put a hit out

(24:04):
on me yet. Not that I'm suggesting anything, but the
liberal lawmakers in the Garden state just voted to hike
the state gas tax to nearly fifty cents a gallon,
forty nine point one cents a gallon, to be exact,
it's like up a little over four cents from what
it is at this very second. As of January first,

(24:25):
it becomes forty nine point one CeNSE per gallon of gas.
That's just the new Jersey state tax, and the new
Jersey state tax on diesel per gallon will be fifty
six point one CeNSE per gallon. So trucks that transport
all our goods when you see on the highway, those
big Target trucks and Walmart trucks, and you know, the

(24:49):
non electric vehicles for any of the other transporters, et cetera,
they're all, you know, driving on diesel for the most part.
And even those who you evs you think ken I
plug in my car and I have nothing to do
with this. Well, yeah you do, because most of the
power plants out there are still fossil fuel powered, so

(25:10):
they too get their source of power from crude oil.
So everybody and everything will be impacted by this. As
the wholesale cost per gallon of gas is dropping in
New Jersey, listen to what these little dirt bags are
doing in trent I'm sorry, these state lawmakers in Trenton
are currently doing. They decided that because President Trump is

(25:33):
getting the cost of crude down, they would simultaneously jack
up the tax for the state of New Jersey. That
fulfills two things for them. Number One, you in New
Jersey buying gas will not notice the price has come
down because the tax went up. Therefore, you don't know
that the price per gallon came down. That's number one.

(25:56):
Number Two, it ends up giving them more money in
the coffers for them to do with what they want
to get re elected. One of the interesting things they
pointed out when asked why they had to increase the tax,
they said, because people have done a good job listening
to us. And a reporter asked, what are you talking about?
And legislators in New Jersey said, well, we've been telling

(26:17):
people to do less driving carpool, more, use car shares,
use mass transit, and they have. As a result, we've
sold less gas, which means we've had lower gas tax revenue.
So now we have to raise the price of gas
tax to make up for the people driving less. So
you're getting punished for doing the right thing from an
environmental perspective. Isn't that nice. That's the way democrats think

(26:41):
of you. Middle finger right to your face, and they
think we're all stupid. But here's part of the problem.
When you open up the floodgates to nearly a million
illegal migrants, and you have to come up with all
this extra money to educate the kids, give them two
to three squares a day in public school. You have
to give the folks coming into the state a free

(27:01):
place to live, you have to give them food, you
have to help them with other resources. Well, that money
has got to come from somewhere. And the state says, well,
we don't have a fund for that. Of course not,
because money is fungible. What that means is, pardon me.
They take a little from this program. First, Now I'm
gonna call pardon me. They take a little from this
program and take a little from that program, and that's

(27:23):
how they pay for it. And so those programs end
up in a deficit. At the end of the year,
your taxes go up, and that's how you pay for it.
This is the way the Democrats think. And in the
state of New Jersey, the Democrats control the State Assembly,
the state Senate, they have the governorship, and of course
in January they will have the governorship again. They control

(27:43):
the state Supreme Court. They also control nine of the
twelve Congress seats. I should say in the federal government,
nine of the twelve are Democrats. They control both US
Senate seats, and they control the top fifteen largest cities.
The mayors and the councils are all controlled by Democrats
in New Jersey. So you cannot blame anyone but the

(28:06):
Democrats for this. Let's go to Joyce in Hawthorne, New Jersey. Joyce,
you're a fellow garden Stater. You know what I'm talking about.
Good morning and happy holidays. Oh we just dropped that. Oh,
let's go to Bill in New Jersey. I'm sorry. Let's
go to Bill in New Jersey. Fellow garden Stater. Good morning.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
Hey, Ken, how you doing.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
I'm great.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
I I wanna, I wanna thank you very much for
finally being the person to start screaming about this incoming
tax It's it's Murphy's last poke in the eye to
the people of New Jersey, and he's already set up
the new affordability governor to take a fall right off
the back. So it's just amazing. Uh what these people

(28:48):
have done.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah, this is this is the game they play, and
they think we're all stupid. But I mean, you got
to give them credit for looking at this opportunity. You
knew Trump was gonna get gas prices down, so why
not just add taxes at the same time so it'll
look like Trump hasn't done anything. The price for a
gallon of gas in New Jersey is the same as
it was a month ago or two months ago. Meanwhile,

(29:10):
the wholesale price is down. It's just that the state
tax is up. Do you know what The breakdown of
taxes on a gallon of gases. Wholesale gas is about
a dollar sixty a gallon. Then you have to add
about eighteen cents federal tax. That's all it is. Eighteen
cents New Jersey is almost fifty cents a gallon for
the state, and then in big cities like New York,

(29:30):
they add another forty six cents or so per gallon.
New York State adds forty six cents a gallon, and
then you have you know, county municipalities in some case
tacking it on, and then whatever little bit that the
local retailer sales to make money on it, they usually
only make about a nickel. So that's how we have
the price of gas. It's comprised at this point mostly
of taxes and fees, not the cost of wholesale. It's crazy.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
Yeah, And you know, New Jersey used to be one
of the best states in the country, even despite the
fact we don't have self service gas. We used to
have some of the best prices in the country. Now
forget about it. I've just came back from Texas. Prices
down there for over Thanksgiving to now have dropped thirty

(30:14):
cents a gallon. What's happening in New Jersey? Nickels and
dimes going up.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
It's crazy. It's crazy. But again, this is what happens
when they keep voting Democrat. I don't understand. I thought
for sure this time Chitterrelly was going to do it
to lose. The way he lost just makes me lose
a lot of faith in my fellow garden Staters. Hey,
thank you so much for don't.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
Don't get me started on Chitdarelly. I can tell you
what his campaign failings were.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Well, we'll do a whole show on that. You call
back again, we could do that call. You could always
call me on my show in New Jersey that I do.
We'll put you on for that. But listen, I appreciate
the call. Happy holidays, and thanks for checking in with.

Speaker 6 (30:53):
Us, you sir, Thank you, all right, thank you, all right.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Seven to ten w R the Voice of New York
once again. We'll take calls when we come back. I'll
go get a little tu and rest my voice. The
call lumber is one eight hundred three two one zero
seven ten. One eight hundred three two one zero seven
ten Ken Rozotto. For those you know when I mentioned
my show, I'm on a channel called on New Jersey

(31:18):
uh in New Jersey. It streams at o NNJA dot com,
so you can take a look at it anytime ONNJ
dot com. I'm on there every single day, and then
I get the pleasure of coming here to fill in
whenever either Larry or Mark or off. So I'll be
in for Larry on Monday. So anyway, we'll take your
calls when we come back. Eight hundred three to two
one zero seven ten for w R.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Now more of the marximone Show on seven ten wo R.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Filling in for Mark here again is Ken Rosado and we.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Go straight through our busy phones on this holiday Friday.
Bob and Montvale, New Jersey, Good morning.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Hey, good morning, Ken. Hope you feeling better. You have
to take the raw honey with that throat. I'm telling you.
I'm not being junk out of the Teddy Bear tubes,
but I hope you're feeling better there. But you know
what bugs me is here and these New Jersey people,
now I'm New Jersey complaining. I mean, where were they
when you know Cheryl was talking about you know, made

(32:19):
no sense about. You know, it wasn't going to raise taxes.
This gas tax was a known thing. Our utility bills
are going to go up again. Oh and the tolls
are going up on the throw on the parkways. So
you know, I blame early voting, believe it or not,
I thought Jack should really was was it? Gimme me?

(32:40):
Especially what goes on here in this state. It's a
sanctuary state. This is what we're paying for. And it
really sickens me to hear people now like complaining it's
too late, folks.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, and this is the problem. When you only have
about fifteen to twenty percent of the population actually getting
off their butts and going out and voting, that is
the problem.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
You know.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
The liberal activist types got out there and voted. Meanwhile,
a lot of the older folks who tended to be
more conservative, they sat home and they said, well, well,
I only vote for the president stuff. No, you got
to vote for everything. That is the problem. Bob, we
gotta go. We're up against the top of the hour.
I appreciate you, sir. Happy holidays to you. Seven to

(33:22):
ten WR the Voice of New York. Coming up later
in the hour, we'll speak with Brandon digital strategist Fisher
with some really cool holiday tech items that you will
not want to miss. This morning, rainal land, even a
little bit of thunder here. It'll be very windy all day,
partly cloudy a little bit later on high is today
though amazingly in the mid fifties, cooling down tonight, clouds

(33:43):
Tomorrow high's upper thirties again. Ken Rosotto went from mark
on your Friday during the holidays, We're coming right back.
