I don't know. I called up my daughter in the
West village last weekend, and I said something to her
that I never thought i'd say to anybody, let alone
a child of mine. And I said, you got to
get out and vote for Cuomo. I know, I know
you disagree, Mark, I know you're still a slee Wa guy,
but you got to pick the lesser of two evils

in my opinion. And I finally convinced her. You know,
I said, it's it's better for It's it's just I
don't know. There's no alternative. It's not like a better
or worse. It's just I don't think you have an alternative.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Do you. Yeah? The problem is two things should have happened.
One from the beginning. It should have been Cuomo get out,
because in many of these polls, Sleewood does better against
Mom Donnie than Cuomo does one to one.

Uh.

And those big donors didn't come in with the super
packs and the negative ads to kill Mom Donnie's favorability.
They didn't do it. They were afraid. So, uh, but
what do we do?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I heard I heard Sleewell yesterday a on w o
R after on Clay and Buck Show, and he, I mean,
he didn't he didn't present himself very well, I didn't think.
Did you hear him on there?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
No? I didn't get to hear it, but.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Kind of unhinged, you know, And and you know, I
know he's told he said, you know, I you know,
I love animals and all this, you know all this.
And I said, you know, I thought to myself, this
is a good you know, Okay, you love animals. That's great,
that's wonderful. You offered ten million bucks? You know who
offered him ten million bucks? Has he ever said that
who offered him the money?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
No? But I know there's a few billionaires that have
offered him a lot to get out. And you know
thisice Eric Adams, I will never endorse Cuomo. Next day,
I'm endorsing Cuomo. So that money's been floating around out
there on behalf of Cuomo.

But he is the mother's milk of politics, an old saying.
But it's as true now as ever.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
All right, But if we get mom, Donna, you've been
through this in Boston, what will happen? How will we
get through this?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I you know, I I think that you know, it's
it's it's like what was it Hemingway said about bankruptcy.
It happens, It happens gradually at first, and then suddenly
I think, I think, you know, you'll start to see
more and more people fleeing. You know that now that
they first they start in the Connecticut papers. Now they're
in the New York papers about you know, there's this

run on real estate in Fairfield, and and you know,
and and uh local and Governor Desantus that both said
that you know, they're going to get that this is
going to be great for Palm Beach real estate. I
own this condo in West Palm in addition in my
other place, and I take it. I put it on
the rental market in the you know, when I don't
need it in the summer for my for my people

down here. And so then in in at the end
of October, I take it off the market, off the
rental sale market. And so usually I get like two
or three calls when I take it off the rental market.
I took it off last week and I've been I've
just been deluged with calls, texts, emails. I mean, people,
(04:06):
people are assuming that Mambani has won, and they're just
looking for more, uh uh more more real estate to
put on the market. You know, as soon as this happens.
I mean, you could, you can. I mean, I just
see it in my own personal life. You know how
many people want to you know, want to sell my
little condo in West Palm, which is downtown. It's I mean,

I just say, I think there's gonna be like a
gigantic exodus of people out, don't.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
You No, I don't know. It's New York. We had
we had it happen with Cuomo. He was the worst governor.
So many people left New York that we lost four
congressional seats as a result of Cuomo.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Right, I remember I used to fill in for you
sometimes and I and half the calls would be from Florida.
I remember that. Oh mean, it's gonna be. It's gonna
be on steroids, now come on.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
But Clomo's just as bad. He gets afraid of the left.
He goes crazy left. He gave us no bail, no jail,
He closed the prisons. What do we want him for?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
You know, you know, the devil you know is better
than the devil you don't know. I mean, I'm using
all the old clichis here today. But you know, I mean,
like I said, I never thought I would tell my
daughter or anybody else to vote for Cuomo. But I mean,
what are you going to I mean, this guy, this
guy thinks that his father thinks that Abraham Lincoln was

the prototype for the Nazis. Well, why are they over
here if they really believe this, you know, why did
they move here? I'm with this guy. Randy Fying, the
new congressman from Florida took Waltz's place. He wants to
he wants an investigation as to whether any kind of
immigration fraud was committed by any of these people. Jo
(05:49):
Anna Omar, Mom, Donnie, we got a couple of naturalized
citizens politicians in Massachusetts that are currently doing bids in
federal prison. I want to get them the hell out
of the country.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Well, so you got a couple of things that could happen. One,
they could get him on that immigration stuff, but they're
also looking at foreign money that's coming to his campaign.
There's already a criminal referral. It's a long shot, right,
they could.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
That's yeah, I mean that's like short. I mean that's
short money. I mean he's given some of it back.
It's under ten thousand, now, that's question right.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, but they may find more. You never know, and
even after he wins the election, they can take him
out if they find it. Also got a couple of
people in the Justice Department said they'll watch his every move.
If he does anything anti Semitic or any they'll arrest
him on a hate crime. But again, this is a
long shot. So but we got to we got to

eight years of build a Blasio. We can get through this,
can't we?

But you knows dad, as Bill de Blasio is, he
was an American. You know, he was went to Cambridge
Rinche in Latin. I used to be able to spit
on his high school from where I live. I mean,
he was he was a local communist. You know this
is he's only been a citizen since twenty nineteen.

H How did this happen, Well, you know how it
happened because the Cuomo if we had somebody else in
the primary.

Know what happened is nobody voted. That's the problem, you know,
I meaneople people have just like gotten into oh I
voted in the presidential election, that's the only one that matters.
I mean that is just such a such a shortsighted
view of your civic responsibility. People got to get out
and vote. I mean, I know my kids, my daughter
and their boyfriend, they didn't vote in any of these

primary any of the primaries. They you know, That's why
I had to, you know, keep asking them over and
over again to get out and vote. And I think
I finally convinced him. But how many people do you know?
They didn't vote? A lot? Not that you're not that
you had a big choice, right, Yeah, we promote man Bani,
But I mean, you know, you just you have to

make the best of it. We don't live in a
perfect society.
