Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Mark Simone. Welcome to the bonus segment for
you podcast listeners. Well give you an extra show. Thank
you for being a podcast listener. You can also listen
live ten to noon every Monday through Friday. What a
week it's been. What a week? So yeah, Mom, Donnie,
not a great week for the Democrats. But but doesn't

(00:22):
mean much of anything. Everything will change by the midterms. Democrats,
you know, they're never really happy, they're never really gloating.
They've always got some explaining to do. Look at this
George Clooney giving an interview. I don't know why he
keeps talking about politics. It is the worst thing you
could be talking about. He says he has no regrets

(00:42):
on Remember he introduced Biden at that big rally in
Los Angeles. He brought Biden out. He gave you a
boost for Biden, a big rally to promote him. And
then Biden, of course, was a total vegetable in the debate.
So then Clooney wrote an op ed saying Biden had
to get out. He was the first one to turn
on Joe Biden, big public, big star, turning on him.

(01:05):
Everybody thinks he got permission from Obama. Or was told
to do it by Obama. He wouldn't have done it
on his own. But he pushed Biden out of the race,
so he admits. He says he has no regrets about that.
He admits Kamala Harris was a big mistake, big mistake,
he says. I think the mistake with it being Kamala
is that she had to run against her own record. Well,

(01:28):
it's the same record that Biden had. It was the
Harris Biden administration. So he said, no regrets about pushing
Biden out. But Kamala Harris wasn't the right choice. But
you know, so if you're upset about Mom Donnie, all right,
don't feel bad. We got through Deblasi. We got through
eight years at de Blasio. Democrats are never happy. They're
not happy now. They're not going to be happy with

(01:49):
Mom Donnie. It's going to be an absolute nightmare for them.
Speaking of Obama, his wife Michelle Obama, of course, the
former First Lady, said it was very tough on her,
being the first black first Lady. It was very tough
on her. It was a particularly white hot glare under
the what is that the hell is she talking about?

(02:10):
She got a pass on everything. It was so nervous,
tiptoeing around her all the time, putting her on every
magazine cover. Everybody was so deferential to what is she
talking about? It was tougher on her than anybody was.
Take a look of what Malania Trump goes through. You
want to see what tough is. Look at what my
Milania Trump has to battle from the press and from

(02:31):
everybody else. But these Democrats are never happy. Here's Stephen
Colbert doing an interview bashing his own network. He said, Trump,
the fact that CBS made a settlement to him is
totally damaging the reputation of CBS. What was the reputation
of CBS fake news? That was the That was the reputation. Now,

(02:53):
the person that's been sent in there to clean up
CBS News is Barry Weiss, who was with the New
York Times for years. She's a Democrat New York Times type,
but she's not for corrupt media. She's not for fake news.
She wants it all to be fair and balanced, and
that's why she had to leave the New York Times
and that's why they brought her into cleanup CBS News.

(03:14):
Make it fair and balanced. Well, you've seen these stories
about her traveling with bodyguards all of a sudden, Well
it's not only true, but apparently CBS needs an even
bigger security detail to guard her. They're looking for bodyguards,
they're advertising for them. They're looking for ex Navy seal types.
They want somebody who can bench four hundred pounds and

(03:35):
looks great in a suit. Now, seriously, they're looking for
a lot of bodyguards for her. In fact, if you're interested,
it's contact. What you do is you just go to
jobs THEFP dot com, jobsthefp dot com if you want
to be a bodyguard for Parry Weiss, the new head
of CBS News. Now, why all this security, apparently a

(03:57):
lot of it is that she's been getting death threats
all over the place for her strong support for Israel.
You know, The New York Times is anti Israel as
you can get, and sixty Minutes had been very very
anti Israel, CBS News very anti Israel. Well, she's cleaning
that up. And the fact that she's supporting Israel has
caused her to get all kinds of death threats. And

(04:17):
that's why these it's not just a bodyguard. You'll see
her surrounded by ten bodyguards when she goes to an event.
These Democrats are not happy people. You know, when Elon
Musk bought Twitter, he got rid of the fake news,
the bias. Twitter was very biased. If you were a conservative,
you got shadow band. They would fix the algorithms so

(04:39):
nobody saw your feed. Well, Elon Musk came in and
fixed that. Everybody was equal. They looked for both sides
in an argument, both points of view, and liberals hated that,
so they all ran away from Twitter and they formed
their own Twitter. It's called Blue Sky. It's the Democrat Twitter,
it's the liberal Twitter. They don't want to hear any

(05:00):
opposing point of view. So they all moved over to
Blue Sky and it became very, very very big. There's
millions and millions. That's you know, if you don't see
your much liberal stuff on Twitter anymore, it's because they're
all on Blue Sky. So it got so big Blue
Sky that well a lot of the conservatives thought they'd
better go join it and start tweeting over there. But

(05:23):
they don't like that at Blue Sky, so they're blocking accounts.
If you're a conservative, they don't just shadow man you,
they actually block your account. You're blocked. Guess what The
most blocked account is at Blue Sky the white House.
The white House. Actually the second most blocked account, Number
one is jd Vance. I don't think Donald Trump is

(05:43):
on it, but jd Vance is on it. He's been
blocked by hundreds of thousands of users. The White House
has been now blocked by hundreds of thousands of users.
Biggest on blue Sky AOC She's got over two million followers.
Mark q Ubans are two million followers. A very left
wing sort of guy. Hey, they did this a big

(06:07):
The Travel Report Travel trends, the most beautiful new Fall destination.
What's the trendiest destination trendy No, it's not Spain, it's
not Grease. Trendiest destination right now travel destination new Haven, Connecticut,
New Haven, Connecticut. Yeah, I have no idea. Well, it's

(06:28):
a quick short drive, you know, not short, but it's
held a lot easier in getting to Grease. It's like
two hours from Manhattan if you drive, if you're lucky,
two hours by train. It's the They say the college
town allure of Yale and all that, but it's really
the pizza capital of the world. Frank Peppi's and Sally's

(06:49):
and all of that that could have a lot to
do with there's a lot of one. It says craft
breweries and coffee shops and jazz and indie music venues.
I don't know a lot of places have that. We
got a shoe, We've got a Broadway level theater, the
Schubert Theater. I know, we got twenty of them here
in New York. And if you want to try the
great New Haven Pizza Frank Peppi's and Sally's and these

(07:10):
pizzas that you've heard about, you don't have to go
there anymore. There's a Frank Peppy and a Sally's in Stamford.
There's one in Fairfield, Connecticut. If you're in Long Island,
just wait, there'll be one near you pretty soon. Hey again, mom,
Donnie wins, far left socialist, communist, he wins, And everything's well,

(07:31):
that's the way the Democrats will go. Now, actually, things
will change by next year and you'll have to be
more towards the center. And that's why a lot of
people think Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania governor, have a good
shot because he's been towards the center. And keep your
eye in that fetterman. He's been a centrist, so if
you're far left, you're gonna have a problem. Now, Fetterman
has said that they'll try to move to the center,

(07:54):
like Gavin Newsom is now trying to be a centrist,
like a very centrist Bill Clinton, common sense Democrat. He's
trying to do that. But Fatterman points out, you can't
do this stuff anymore because the internet is forever, and
you could try to do that, but they'll just put
together miles and miles and miles, a video of you
in the past and all the crazy left wing things

(08:14):
you said. So not going to work anymore. Hey, what
the hell happened to Tucker Carlson. He's just gone completely
off the deep end, just crazy anti Semitic stuff on
his podcast from he put on one of the biggest
anti Semites in the world and gently questioned him, didn't

(08:35):
go after him, and why would you even give this
guy a for him anyway? And you know they'll argue, well,
he's not if you listen to the clips of him
over the last couple of years, he's the worst anti
Semite on earth. No business being given a forum. Tucker
Carlson did it. Now you get these outcasts who are
no longer working on a network. They've all been fired,
you know, the Megan Kelly, Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, Tucker Carlson.

(08:59):
So they do they do their own shows. You know,
they put together their own little podcast from their living room.
And I guess to get attention, you got to get coverage,
So they'll go do something crazy just to get attention.
Megan Kelly does it all the time, do anything to
get covered, to get some press. But a lot of
people think Tucker going way, way, way too far with

(09:20):
this crazy stuff, just over the top anti Semitic people
on the show, and it doesn't look good. It's really
really strange. Hey, Costco, if you're a big Costco fan,
they got the best hot dog in the world and
the best hot dog bun in the world. It's one
reason people keep getting their Costco membership card. You know,

(09:40):
they don't make a lot of money at Costco on
anything they sell. You can buy a million things in
there and they're not making a big profit. The real
money is from the membership card. You know, it's eighty
dollars a year or one hundred and twenty dollars. Well,
if you got ten million members or it's a ton
of revenue, so that's why that hot dog is still
like a dollar twenty five. They lose money on every
hot dogs sold, but it gets people in the store.

(10:02):
It's the best hot dog in the world and Costco
so they're trying to add to that. Now the food
court is going to have some new stuff. They're trying
to copy Dairy Queen. They started with a carmel brownie
Sunday that's only two ninety nine. You know, Dairy Queen
is absolutely delicious. A blizzard at Dairy Queen phenomenal. So
they tried to copy this and people have tested it,

(10:24):
tasted it, said it's pretty damn good. It's really as
good as Dairy Queen. But it's only two ninety nine.
It's going to be a lot cheaper now. The other
thing they're doing is trying to go after McDonald's. They're
putting together some McDonald's type products, taking them on and
they'll do it a lot cheaper. So there may come
a time where you'll go to Costco. Really you'll just

(10:44):
have the membership card just to go there and eat.
There's a lot of money to be made there on
that stuff. They speaking of food there's a donut place
in Los Angeles that's iconic. It's legendary. Randy's Donuts in
Los Angeles. You've heard about In and Out, which is
the big Hamburger chain in Los Angeles, and it's better
than any other chain. In and Out Burger phenomenal. They're

(11:07):
not coming to New York. People that begged them. They
don't want to come to New York. They just say
it doesn't work. Everything's too expensive in New York, the rent,
the taxes, they just can't make it work. But the
same thing in donuts in La is Randy's Donuts. It's
just iconic in Los Angeles. It's considered the greatest donuts
ever in Los Angeles. It's like the Peter Lugers of donuts.

(11:28):
They got thirty varieties. Well, they're finally opening in Manhattan.
I think it's this week. They're opening in Manhattan one
to eighty five Bleaker Street, corner Bleaker and McDougall. It's
as big as anything ever has been in Los Angeles.
If you watch the Tonight Show. I don't know if
anybody watches the Tonight Show anymore, but with Jimmy Fallon

(11:49):
has been doing a lot of stuff with Randy's Donuts.
But they're finally, for the first time ever coming to
New York. Now, the good news is, with all this
great food stuff coming everywhere, it'll be easier to lose
weight with ozempic and those type of things. There's like
five or six of these ozempic type drugs. Costco is
going to start selling them much cheaper, and President Trump

(12:10):
made a deal this week that Medicare will cover those drugs.
Medicare will now cover Eli Lily and Norvo Nordisk their
ozempic type stuff, the GLP one drugs and you know
those you get those ozmpic it's like twelve hundred bucks
a shot. It's very expensive. But they've made a deal
with these big drug companies. They'll get them for two

(12:31):
hundred and forty five dollars a month, one sixth or
one fifth the price, and start making them really really available.
If Medicare will cover then the remember a lot of
people the weight loss is very very good for some
medical condition, so it really is a great thing. What else, Hey,
speaking of eating, you know remember in your kid you'd

(12:53):
all get around the dinner table and the whole family
would eat. Nobody does that anymore. In fact, you used
to have a TV tray. You get set it up
in front of the TV and watch TV, and there
were TV dinners. Apparently that trend is coming back bigger
than ever, Bigger than ever. People don't want to be
They just want to watch TV or be on their phone.
They don't want to sit around at dining room table,

(13:14):
and dining room tables are out. In fact, TV trays.
A lot of companies now working on real, flashy and
innovative new type trays. It's the new trend. It's coming.
Don't fight it. Don't fight it. Why not you want
to be watching something when you eat? Hey, well, this
has been the bonus segment of the podcast. Thanks for listening.
You can listen live ten to noon any weekday, and

(13:35):
thanks for being with us. Take care, talk to you soon.
