Jeffrey Lichtman has successfully handled criminal trials and appeals on some of the country’s largest stages and recently described by the media as a ''legendary New York criminal defense attorney''.  His clients include those charged in the federal and state systems with white collar and non-white collar offenses.  For over 30 years, Mr. Lichtman’s practice style has been marked by exhaustive pretrial preparation and smothering pressure inside the courtroom.  His cross-examinations, in fact, have been described in the media during the John Gotti, Jr. trial as a “relentless pounding” in which witnesses were “put through the blender and shredded.”  The Gotti trial ended with the dismissal of three murder conspiracy charges, an acquittal on a $25 million securities fraud charge, and a deadlocked jury on every remaining count.  The media described the verdict as an “unbelievable courtroom upset” and Mr. Lichtman’s work as “brilliant.”  In the recent high-profile Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman trial lasting 3 1/2 months, Mr. Lichtman’s work was described by the media as “an astonishing performance” and “so wildly entertaining.”
Some of Mr. Lichtman’s recent clients also include Assistant USC basketball coach Tony Bland, Emma Coronel, rappers Fat Joe and The Game, the alleged Boss of the Colombo Family Andrew Russo, Olympians, judges, doctors, lawyers, politicians, and countless others.
Mr. Lichtman’s appellate practice has also had great success, winning freedom for clients sentenced to lengthy prison terms.  In September of 2010, he won the freedom for a client who had been convicted and sentenced to 27 years in prison for multiple counts of sexual assault of four victims. After his appeal to the NJ Appellate Division forced the trial court to grant a hearing on trial counsel’s possible ineffectiveness, Mr. Lichtman’s scathing examination of trial counsel was halted by the judge – who indicated she was prepared to vacate the conviction on the spot – and the client was released, never to return to prison again.
A 1990 graduate of Duke University School of Law, Mr. Lichtman’s office has begun representing individuals on Civil Rights/police misconduct issues as well as on sexual harassment and discrimination claims — and in just a short time, Mr. Lichtman has garnered multiple millions of dollars of settlements for women sexually harassed in the workplace, and was selected as a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Lichtman has recently been profiled in New York Magazine, the New York Daily News, and in The New York Times as part of the “Public Lives” series. Mr. Lichtman can also be heard as a guest host on 710 WOR Radio and other media outlets.  Mr. Lichtman’s office website is JeffreyLichtman.com.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a podcast from wor Now the wr Saturday
Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Here's Larry Minty, Hello and welcome this Saturday morning. On
this week's show, at the UN, President Trump puts an
end to the idea of a Palestinian state being pushed
by several allies, and high profile defense attorney Jeffrey Lickman
is fired up about it.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Let's talk about the UN because I know that this
means a lot to you. And so many countries were
coming out Canada, France, Great Britain asking for a Palestinian state,
and Donald Trump got up in front of him yesterday
and said that that's not going to happen, and he
can prevent that from happening. So what did you think

(00:47):
about what's been happening the last week with countries cathing
on that and then Donald Trump's.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Response, Well, it's not really surprising to me. I think
I've expected this for a long time. I mean, it's
one thing for the mousm countries to back yet another,
Like what the world needs is yet another Muslim terrorist state.
We don't have enough, but to see the West capitulate
like this, France, Canada, all of these countries, Spain is
so utterly nauseating but expected when you have Muslims that

(01:18):
are refugees from Syria from all over the place and
they flow into these Western countries, and then the first
thing they do, naturally when they get freedom, is to
become violent and try to turn their new homes into
the dumps that they fled, And all of a sudden
you've got the Western leaders. They hate Jews as it is,
and when given the opportunity to turn their backs on

(01:40):
Jews and embrace radical Muslim Muslim they Muslims, they take
it because they realize that their countries are going to
become more violent if they don't do what their loudest,
most dangerous new citizens make them do. So it's absolutely
nauseating it to see that they award Hamas for their

(02:01):
massacre from two years ago. Do you know that none
of these countries that came out, these Western countries in
support of a Palestinian state made it contingent upon Hamas
not being there or releasing the hostages. They're just absolutely
rewarding them. So naturally Hamas's response is, well, we're not
doing anything, because now they even came out and said

(02:23):
thank you for the gift. It shows us that October
seventh was the correct thing to do. So on their
first day of recognition, what did they do? They released
a video tape of Hamas leaders executing three Palestinians in
the street, shooting them. They released it to scare the
rest of the population. On day two, they released a
propaganda video of an Israeli hostage starving. Because they just

(02:47):
feel they can do whatever they want. They're no different
than Isis al Qaeda, Boca harm. They know they can
do whatever they want, but unlike those other groups, the
whole world will embrace them. Why because they hate chews
the most and that fits into the world's ideology. As
for Donald Trump, I mean, look, I think he could

(03:08):
do so much more. I think he could have been
more vocal. I think he could have done so much more.
That being said, I mean, thank God for Donald Trump,
because you know, I hope that he's going to be strong,
because he is somewhat marcurial Larry and he does kind
of change as the wind blows sometimes. But he certainly

(03:28):
took a stand at the UN And did you notice,
by the way that the escalator broke when he and
his wife were coming up, and that the teleprompter wasn't working,
and the microphones weren't working. There's no question in my
mind that he was sabotaged in New York City. We
pay most of the dues, and the UN members did
that to an American president. I'm telling the Larry. At

(03:51):
some point, I hope we have a president. I hope
it's President Vance who says, you know what, we're closing
it down, Get the f out of here. We're not
paying paying any more. Goodbye to the UN.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Well, you saw in the London Times the day before
they interviewed some UN workers who talked about stopping the elevator.
That's that's really suspicious. At that point, I think that's
proof positive that that was done on purpose to him.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Don't you not even a question? And it's so absolutely revolting.
The UN has become nothing more than an anti Semitic,
anti Israel, anti American bastion of leftists Muslim terrorists. There
is no reason why you and I should be paying.
We pay enough taxes and we're going to be paying
more once the the communist Islamist Tamas loving filth becomes mayor.

(04:42):
We should not be paying any money towards the UN.
They should kick it out. Let them let him put
it in Madrid, let him put it there, let him
put it in Paris. Let the filth run around, let
them burn things there. Even in Italy. Italy got soft
on radical Islam and started saying positive things about palifying
what ends up happening. Well, the Islamist filth and the

(05:03):
leftists are demonstrating. They're shutting down city after city in Italy.
I mean, is it worth it to embrace this ideology?
I don't get it, Larry. I mean, the world is
moving forward as it should into the future. It's gonna
move backwards as it embraces radical Islam.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Well, he said that to them. He said, you got
to close your borders and stop these people from flooding
in because you're ruining your countries. I thought it was
an excellent speech. Nobody else seems to, especially in the media.
They've been talking about how horrible it was. But I
think the un needed to hear that from the fable.
And it was a packed room too. They claimed that
people are going to boycott at MSNBC was saying that yesterday, No, no, no, no,

(05:43):
everyone was there to hear that. Thanks so much. Jeffrey

was absolutely right way back in June about Zorin Mamdani
and the fact that he's probably going to win this.
As a matter of fact, you were willing to bet

(06:03):
everybody out. What are the odds now?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Oh god, now, I mean the chances of them winning,
I would say, are probably as close to one hundred
percent as can be.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Well, you just depressed me. Thanks Jeffrey, good to talk
to him.
