Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a podcast from wor Now. More of the
wr Saturday Morning Show and Larry Minte Welcome Back.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
One of the most shocking stories of the week is
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy during a TV interview at
Montclair State University, revealing that he is hiding someone who
is here illegally above his garage. The story went national
and Republican candidate for governor Jack Chittarelli has a lot
to say about it. Let's talk about the guy that's
(00:31):
leaving office right now, Phil Murphy, he said, for some reason,
and I can't understand this at all. You are such
a polished politician, and I'm sure you don't understand this either,
but you're always on nationally no matter where you think
you are. He was at Montclair State University doing a
(00:54):
student interview, and he said he admitted that he was
harboring someone who here in the country illegally over his garage.
He said, And that got a response that I'd like
you to respond to from Tom Homan.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
And if he's normally normally harbor and concealing an illegue Alian,
that's a violation on Title Wait, and I stay he's
called thirteen twenty four, I would seek prosecution or the
secretary will seek prosecution.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
What do you think, Jack, what the governor said, if
in fact it's true, and why would we believe it
as not? Since he said it, he's in violation of
federal law, and so I've called for the legislation to
begin impeachment proceedings. No one's above the law. What he
said is in violation of federal law. And that's why
Homan said what he said in that press conference. So
(01:42):
we need to see where this goes. But you can
see how the administration with the governor spokesperson is now
in recovery mode. Larry, the spokesperson is now saying something
the complete opposite of what the governor said. And the
governor's been silent since he has got a real problem
here in New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, he was on tape. He keeps saying he was
just represented. Everybody heard it, everybody heard the interview, everybody
heard the tape. It's played nationally. Now there's no way
you can come back from that. Now, if it's not true,
come out and say it's not true. If it is true,
you're absolutely right, he broke the law. And I also
(02:19):
believe even the sanctuary city policy, sanctuary state policies. They're
breaking the law too. And I know that as a
part of your campaign and what you'll do as governor,
you want to roll them.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Beck on day one, executive order no Number one, No
city will be a sanctuary city, and we will not
be a sanctuary state. But Larry, he wasn't done there
after he said he was harboring it as someone here
who's not a US citizen, he taunted. He taunted a
federal agency to come on his property, which puts the
state police in danger, who provide twenty four to seven
(02:54):
security to the governor and his family. I mean, think
about how irresponsible that is.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
He not only taught did federal authority, he taunted Tom Homan.
It's like, has any seen Tom Homan? Does that guy
look like he's gonna mess around? Does that guy look
like he's gonna take an idle threat like that? Seriously? Absolutely?
And he did.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Here.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
The president is trying to make the country safer. He
was overwhelmingly elected. Every governor has a responsibility, every governor,
no matter what their party affiliation, to work in partnership
with the president on deporting, identifying and deporting people that
are here illegally, and yet our governor went ahead and
did this, you know, the other thing, Larry. It caused
(03:39):
the wrong kind of attention to New Jersey for the
second time in less than a month. A couple of
weeks ago, Democratic US senator was sentenced to eleven years
in prison for a corruption Bob Menendez. And now we've
got a governor that's saying things that are in violation
of federal law.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, we have six major candidates for governor, who one
of them will be running against you? Because I think
you're pretty far ahead in the race for the Republican primary,
so I assume one of them will be running against you.
Have we heard anything from them about what the governor said.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Not one of them has commented. And yet in their
debate of seventy two hours ago, every single one of
them said they would continue with the sanctuary city, sanctuary
state policies of Phil Murphy. Every one of these people
is complicit Larry and his failed policies that have really
wrecked New Jersey. Or to pass seven plus years, we
fixed it come January of next year.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
We recently learned, because of Doge and because of Elon Musk,
that only six percent. Six percent of federal workers actually
show up for work every day. They're still working remotely,
even though COVID is still around, but it's much weaker.
It's not what it was before the pandemic is over.
(04:55):
What is the percentage that we know of with state
workers in New Jersey? Do you know?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Fifty percent? And I've already told you what Executive Order
one on day one is. Executive Order two on day
one is every one of our state workers getting back
to work. Try getting somebody on the phone, Try getting
issue resolved. You can't. These people are working from home.
We need them to be at their workplace in Trenton,
working on behalf of the nine point five million citizens
(05:21):
who pay their salaries.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Well, why don't I just ask you all the executive
orders in day one? You've already told us two of them.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Well, listen. The other thing I do on day one
is I appoint an attorney general who will support me
in not having sanctuary cities, not being a centurary state,
an attorney general who support our police, and an attorney
general who supports our parents. We don't have that right now.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
So they are the three?
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Are there?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Anymore?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Do you bet? I call for the resignation of all
those that sit on the State Board of Education who've
made all those changes to the public school curriculum that
we find so very offensive. Let's get back to teaching
critical life skills like reading, writing, and math. And the
last thing I do on day one is I get
rid of Phil Murphy's You'll conceive your rational energy plan.
I'm never telling people what car they have to buy.
(06:05):
The markets will dictate that. Not going to tell them
how to heat their home, the markets will dictate that.
And we're not having wind farms off our Jersey shore. Oh.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I think that's going away now. I think they're dying
on the vine as we speak. Because Donald Trump's in office.
He had an executive order to end all funding for them,
and I saw that. Phil Murphy said he's ending funding
for them too, because why now, if there's no federal money,
he can't support them. So, but I know you were
out in front on that all along, and I know
(06:33):
a lot of people along the Jersey Shore that thank
you for that. Jack Chitarelli, Republican candidate for New Jersey Governor.
I can't wait to talk to you again. Jack.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Same here, Larry, thank you This has been a podcast
