I grew up My lifestyle was crazy, you know, I
mean growing up in Syracuse, you know, originally being from Syracuse,
New York and moving down to the North Carolina. Like
my life, My life was pretty crazy. I spent half
of my life raising kids.

My sister was locked up for a few years and
my nephew dad is fighting twenty five to life. So
my sister had three kids. I spent half of my
life raising her kids. I never really got to live
the life that a teenager lived.

How old is your sister?

My sister is.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
So I'm twenty four. I think my sister might be
thirty one. Everything I don't lie a whole bunch of stuff,
you know. So she spent some she spent some time
bym bars. She home now, she ain't been back in
a while. She's doing good.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
But how come you were taking care of the kids?
What about your parents?
Speaker 3 (18:52):
So that's the thing. I'm a baby of five.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
My other brother was locked up at the same time,
you know, So I had two siblings locked up. One
of my siblings was living in New York, and my
other sibling was working all the time.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
So I had time.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
I had days where I wasn't even even able to
go to school because I had to take care of
the kids.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
You know. So I was missing a lot of schools.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
WI.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Yeah, you're young.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Yeah, yeah. And this was at the age of probably
like I'm like fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, taking care of kids.
How old one? One, three, and five?
Speaker 1 (19:22):
And where's everybody else?
Speaker 4 (19:23):
All the siblings they all going one sibling, one sibling
working and then the rest two incarcerated and one was
in New York. So and my mom was working too,
to try to keep the lights on. So you know,
we ain't really have we ain't have nobody to help us.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
My dad in Syracuses. It ain't the university outside.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
The university, so I'll be trying to tell people, like
they think my.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Son played basketball for three years, so I know Syracuse
and I know the surroundings of the university as soon
as you.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Walk off the campus right there by the pH you know.
So like, ah, yeah, my lifestyle was just different growing up.
We heard, seen done a lot. You heard and this
ain't This ain't happen overnight. Like I don't never want
people to get dis misconstrued. I come up here a joke, laugh,
you know, to keep you know, myself reminded that I
came a long way from what I came from.

Are you still close with your nieces and nephews.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Yeah, but like they just not reaching that point where
like well I said, like a few years ago, they
just reached that point where they like found out who
I truly was. You know all they all of their
friends want pictures with me, they go places because they're
a little older than I, like my nephew like thirteen fourteen.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Wow, Like it's amazing. Oh so when you became a dad,
you kind of already have some experience.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Already experience, Yeah, I would.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
I like my son mom, Like when my son be
doing certain stuff, it don't even bother me because I've
been there. I been, like I literally raised kids for
years at a young age. So when it I already
knew about certain stuff. That's why, Like you know, so yeah,
I don't know, like when it comes to when I
come to my family, my life just different.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
But yeah, I have some experience I want.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Like my son is crazy because my son now too,
he just now like kind of figuring out who I
am too. I took him to a football game the
other day and everybody was like going crazy. It's a
video signs Shade room too. And the girl, the little
girl turned around and she starts screaming.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
She's like, oh my god, are you too sy And
my son was looking at her like like this is
my dad. Yeah, why did you trip it like that?
Like yeah, like yeah that's Tuesdy, but like, yeah, that's
my that's my boy. Man, I love my son.

That's amazing. I can see why you want a lot
of kids now.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, I want. I want plenty of kids. I want
like twelve kids. Oh my god, here twelve kids.
