Speaker 1 (00:00):
So Ryan. As well as being a fine former footballer,
we of course know him as the host of the
Amazing Race Australia. Here's also a Stanbassador, a connoisseur of
the stream stream ming service. He joins us, Now, hello, Bo,
here you go, Stanbassador. Tell us what's coming up on

(00:21):
Stan in the next you know a couple of months
that we should be looking out for.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Oh, well, the big couple. It's been a huge couple
of weeks from me with a few shows coming out.
I realized you spoke to Colin Young recently about shown
me the money. Yeah yeah, AFL trade period about the
managers over that. I think it's a two week period
in the AFL, which is mayhem. But the big one,
our biggest one at the moment's dawned.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
The Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I just flew back from Brisbane, Redcliffe and Brisbane this
week for the launch of it, and it's essentially following
the team for the last twelve months. It's their first
year in the NRL, which is huge news and they
played well.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I thought it was a wildlife documentary.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
There will be wildlife in it. I can't give too
much away with the Dolphins, it's yeah, in awful season. It
shows I don't know how we got access to Wayne
Bennet because I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Have you know much about super coach.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Wayne even I know Wayne Bennett.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
He's our most successful coach of all time. And we've
got cameras, yeah, for twelve months following them. It's unbelievable.
It's unbelievable. It shows negotiations, it shows you know players
that come, players that don't. Does them training, It shows
basically the lead up to their first trial game against
the Capras and then right up to a round one
this weekends. It's incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
You a bit grumpy Wayne Bennett. Does he come across
as a little bit is a project?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Will He's quite the opposite, and really documentary will show it.
I mean, I don't think it's too much away, but
he's quite an introvert and many of them know him
and I know him well. He keeps his cards close
to his chest, and you'll see it this week before
the game. He'll give one word answers in the media
before and after the game. But this he opens, he
opens right up. And another big news in the NRL,

(02:01):
I mean, the Dolphins signed two players yesterday to play
for the twenty twenty four season, and this is where
it sort of more seemed to show me the money.
The AFL do the trade period, the NRL don't do
the trade period. So we've got I reckon a dozen
guys in the last two weeks that have signed for
clubs to play in twenty twenty four, which I think
personally is crazy. This week played twelve months with their team,

(02:24):
whether it's Redcliffe or the Sharks or Tigers, and then
they're going to another side.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
It's robbing the fans in my opinion.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
How would you have gone with a camera following you
around for a year while you were playing.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Well, I've got a camera following me around for most
of the year in most of my jobs anyway. Now
when I was playing, probably be in jail.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I've been on social media.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Tensions can be high, right, Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I spoke to the guys of the launch and I said,
what what was it like having the cameras around Because
a lot of these guys, they've signed a lot of
young kids, got a seven and eight and nine year
old some of the best in the country. Yeah, what
was it like having cameras around you? Twenty four to seven.
They said, look, honestly, after the first two days, like
most reality stars, they said, we forgot that were there,
So that's when you get your best stuff. So it's
really all opening. Okay, but are you going to have

(03:11):
the shows on stand that you can give a plack
to Yeah, poker Face at the moment pop, how good show?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
We had the movie with Russell Crowe and.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Which was big in November, but this show, Yeah, she is.
She's a superstar. She can basically read people now. She
can just basically tell if people are lying or not.
She just starts off obviously can read people's faces playing poker,
and then it just morphs into her being like a
vigilante detective. It's incredible, incredible, and they've just commissioned another season.

(03:47):
Oh good, good, Human Light Detective.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
We should just mention bel Air Season two is also out,
just in time for celebrating We'll slap it the Oscars.
I guess not celebrating. We'll never celebrate remmemorating the anniversary
of Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
It's coming up at a show.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Called Party Down, which is coming back for season three.
I'm trying to work out where I was for season
one and two. Because with the cast like Adam Scott,
Jay Lynch and Meghan Malali, I would have been totally there.
I missed the first two.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Many years ago, ten years ago. Basically a group of
out of work actors living the La dream, which is
mainly no work, and they work there, you know. Basically
they put together parties, kids parties and people's parties. And
when you've got that many creative people in the same
room at the same time, it's always going to be good. Yeah,

(04:38):
party Down's fun.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I'm checking that out, all right.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
You wak both from everywhere, from your wife Salon which
is not earth wind and Fire, to the blue carpet
to the ninety six of them. Good to catch up
later by by Ryan Stanbassador
