Speaker 1 (00:06):

In my mind it should be boom.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Boom boom boo boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom.
I don't know, like like flea or something not like
all the press boom boom boom.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
He's got a point.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Anyways, have you Halloween? Same to you, Doug. I'll make
my booms more happy.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I agree with you, buddy. You bring the entire show
down with his boom boom boom.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Boom because Jack's thrown me off.

Yeah, you're no card.

My lord.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
Let's do date night done right.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Right, good loud for friends.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Danny Myrie see of Orlando Date Nightguide dot Com.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Danny, how are you?
Speaker 6 (01:22):
I'm a little bit on the struggle bus. I'm not
even gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
I can hear. I can hear your voice. Got a
little naisily thing on. You catch something?
Speaker 6 (01:33):
Yeah, something's going on. I think part of it is too.
Speaker 7 (01:36):
I I traumatized our sun last night by tossing a
pumpkin that had had lived its life. I didn't warn
him that I was tossing the pumpkin into a trash area.
And he was heartbroken because he had painted it. Oh,
(01:56):
he was crying afterwards. He cried when he woke up
in the middle of the night, like I I was
getting it bad all last night.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
So Halloween or more trick threat, you gotta.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
Watch when I'm around. Apparently he's gonna have Trustice.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Danny appears courtesy of Orlando Date Night Guide.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
She tunes in on Thursday as und four o'clock to
tell us about a few things happening in the city.
Of course, Halloween weekend is gonna make it a very
busy weekend. What do you have for us?
Speaker 7 (02:25):
There is a of course, so many Halloween events happening,
and one of them is actually happening tonight, and this
is a free one. So this is the Sip or
Treat Witch's Ball at the Ovido Mall. And it's free
and you'll get to enjoy beer and wine tastings as
long as you're obviously twenty one and up with ID.
(02:47):
So you have beer and wine samples, you have tasty treats,
you have live entertainment and a costume contest. So this
is what they are calling adults only trick or treating,
all right, and you would need to check in at
the north entrance near the legendary Regal Cinemas with all
its pink neon still going strong, nice, and then for
(03:09):
something a lot more classier. Tomorrow Night, Halloween officially from
four pm to two am, is Halloween Night at Mathers
Social Gathering. So the Mathers now actually has two venues.
You have Mathers Social Gathering up on the third floor
and then the Phoenix Jazz Club on the second floor,
and so both venues are going to be doing their
(03:33):
Halloween thing including excuse me, haunted potions and live performances.
And the Phoenix Jazz Club opens at seven whereas Mathers
opens at four pm. If you want to head their
straight after work, go for it.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Right on.
Speaker 7 (03:50):
Now.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
This one is on my list.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
I wish I could could do this, but the Halloween
Torture show put on.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
I don't get too excited.
Speaker 7 (04:01):
But so this is tomorrow, Halloween, seven pm and it's
by Sack Comedy Lab.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
So this is their torture show. Ross may know about this.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
But yes, and I would even cut even more of
a This is probably the biggest Halloween tradition in all
of Orlando's entertainment scene. What is it really without a doubt,
I can't think of anything that's been going on for
so long that has its own audience. And I'm gonna
give you a little insight behind the scenes. The performers
(04:34):
hate it. They don't like it, and the reason why
is because they are physically getting hurt for people's entertainment. Really,
for the Halloween Sack Torture show, from tasers to rat traps,
what they are doing scenes with their body on the line.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Wow, Really, it's one of the best.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Experiences if you are in the audience. I've been lucky
enough to see a handful of these shows. They are
clean up aisle me funny because the performers are physically
hurting themselves for you're enjoying.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
They're getting their asses.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, it's great, it's awesome. Buy tickets.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
Yes, and it's I think only twenty bucks for tickets
or something along those lines, which is fantastic. And it
does say that the content rating is family friendly, so
if you want to, you know, bring the whole family,
go for it. They are encouraging costumes, They're doing costume contests,
and one of the things that intrigue me is one
(05:32):
of the challenges is they have to eat vinegar marshmallows.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
It sounds.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
So put yourself in their shoes.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
They're used to just doing regular short form inprov and
then once a year on Halloween they pull out vinegar
soaked marshmallows and ask to do the same thing.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Man, who ever thought of that is twisted? Oh yeah,
you know. One second here, let's the most technical difficulties.
My apologies. I'm having my own torture show.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
There we go. That's it.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Marshmallow now delicious.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Maybe that'll help with.
Speaker 6 (06:15):
The symptoms I'm having right now? All right?
Speaker 7 (06:18):
Happening Also tomorrow night is the twelfth annual Thornton.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
Park District Halloween Block Party. Uh, this is almost as
big as it gets.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
You've got costume contest, drink specials, and for some reason,
circa sole themed crowd performers.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
All Right, let's let's do it and this event.
Speaker 7 (06:38):
And this event is also twenty one and up. So
that's for all of the Halloween events. We have a huge,
huge list and we are sending that out in our
email newsletter, so you can go to Orlando Date Nightguide
dot com to.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Subscribe to that. It's free.
Speaker 7 (06:54):
We always send it out right after the show and
then on Orlando hyphen Parenting. We are so out of
course unique trick or treat spots neighborhoods as well as events.
So that's coming out now on Saturday. If you need
a break after all this Halloween fun, there is the
Spa after Dark and this is at the Ritz Carlton
(07:15):
Spa at Orlando Grand Lakes. They did an event like
this a couple months ago and.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
It is awesome really, so you.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
Get access, yes, like this is a great way to
enjoy the spa without having to take out a second mortgage.
So the packages start at about one hundred and fifteen dollars.
You get access to all the amenities in the in
the spa, which includes their sauna, their steam room. They
have an outdoor heated pool that's adults only. They have
(07:43):
a whirlpool spa indoors and then they're going to pass
or dures. You get a signature cocktail and then you
can upgrade to different experiences as well if you really want.
Right and then this is something kind of up Jack's alley,
there is a fine a fall wine walk all the
way out on back Tower Gardens, which I know you
(08:05):
haven't been right, but this fall wine walk is now
going to be yacht rock inspired, so if there was
ever a reason. So this is Saturday from two to
five pm. You can go enjoy Bok Tower Gardens as
much as you want beforehand, and then the wine walk
(08:25):
kicks off from two to five pm. They are navigating
a course of twelve exquisite wines and then each wine
is paired with a specialty bite and it is meant to,
you know, be a nice pairing together. You get all
the unlimited wine.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
So got they bring? They have the wines. I wouldn't
bring that four pack of Bartles and James.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yes, yeah, still in my fridge.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
You're not walking in with your your aldie bags.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
That's not what the wine is, Okay. Look Jack checked
out a peach blaster last time to get wild. Yeah,
peach blaster, who'sy on it.
Speaker 7 (09:11):
Peach blaster paired with a ritz cracker in that sprayble cheese.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Oh good time right there.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Now, don't sleep on that spray cheese stuff. Yeah, yes,
I had it. I was like, damn, this is gourmety.
Speaker 6 (09:27):
You know it's all relative. I suppose, all right.
Speaker 7 (09:32):
And two events happening early next week. It's Demo's ninth anniversary,
and so they are going to do a wine down
Wednesday from five point thirty to nine pm and you
get bottomless wine, sangria, bubbles and beer on tap plus
DJ Coast light bites and a raffle and it is
(09:53):
twenty four dollars and sixty nine cents.
Speaker 6 (09:56):
To be precise.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Wow. Wow.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
And lastly, this is a really really cool event.
Speaker 7 (10:03):
So this is called Pitch a Friend, not like yeat pitching,
but like you're trying to sell your your your sales pitch.
And so this is happening Wednesday at seven pm at
Gravity tap Room. So what you do is you register
beforehand and you put together a three to five minute
presentation on why your single friend shouldn't be single anymore.
(10:25):
And the rest of the audience is single and who
knows what kind of magic.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Wow that's kind of cool. That is kind of cool.
It's an interesting idea. It's like an anti roast.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
Yeah exactly, yeah, like the old days.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
Right.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (10:43):
So this is happening in a couple of cities around
the country, and Orlando is the latest one. So apparently
this is going to start being a regular thing, and
so I believe this one Wednesday at seven pm is
the first one for Orlando.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
So sounds like a great way to meet somebody.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah that does that sounds cool.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Interesting.
Speaker 7 (11:04):

please have fun, be safe out there. I did want

Speaker 6 (11:26):
And it was delicious.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
We did like the mixed plate of course where you
get the two proteins, the mac salad. I opted for
a green salad as well. It just it was so good.
It's so fun and casual.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
The vibe that space.
Speaker 6 (11:39):

Speaker 4 (11:40):
It's that Hawaiian diner right off of Colonial. I swung
in there, grabbed a quick bite to eat the vibes alone.
It really is a time machine of an experience.
Speaker 3 (11:51):

Speaker 4 (11:51):
