Speaker 2 (01:38):
Good week, Good week.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Got a nice rest over, Thanksgivings all my parents up
in cedar Key and got to participate in the golf
cart parade.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Cool.

Speaker 7 (01:49):
That was cute.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:50):
There was even a surfain saying, I don't go.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
You know how many golf carts in this golf cart parade?

Speaker 7 (01:56):
Probably forty?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Really nuts? Yeah they really. They decorate them quite nice.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Yeah it's cute.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
You know, there's not a whole lot to do in
cedar Key, so that's gonna be a hit.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Is it still worth it?

Speaker 8 (02:07):
I mean is it? I never knew it was there,
and then when the hurricanes were hitting, I was like,
cedar Key is gorgeous.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
Yeah yeah, it's you know, it's old Florida. Absolutely, it
is slow pace of life. Oh, that's lots of local
businesses there, a couple of like the Big Key restaurants
are still working on reopening. It's been a year, but
there's still plenty of places there to go support and
enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Excellent.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
And what a great gift of no hurricanes this year
for that part. I mean we yeah, we rejoiced on
November thirtieth. We're like, man, this is a big sh
good Lord yeah, godga hor bullets left and right. Danny
Danny does do uh. She goes out and finds the
cool things for you guys to do over the weekends.
Orlando Date Night guide dot com is where she worked.
She calls the cool stuff out, brings it to us

(02:52):
on Thursdays to pass on to you.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
What do you have for is this?

Speaker 7 (02:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:55):
So Mount Dora is going to be in the National spotlight.
They're gonna be on the Today Show on Friday, and
so ahead of that. I went there earlier this week
on a weekday. Thank gosh.

Speaker 7 (03:08):
You know, on the weekend, you.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Only had to wait a half an hour to find park.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I love the There's a public parking lot that's behind
the truest across the street from one of the churches.
It's on Fifth and it's just as traffic is starting
to crawl. I turn into that parking lot. It's a
five minute extra walk, but it saves me my blood pressure.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
That's the key that people do not pay. Don't just
find a space. If you find a space, you're just
a few blocks away.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
From downtown anyway, as long as you're down in that area.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So there's a free show.

Speaker 7 (03:38):
Yeah, there's a free show. The stroll is part of it.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Hey, where are they going to be for the Today Show?

Speaker 7 (03:43):
I know the Lake Side in.

Speaker 8 (03:46):
There and probably Donnelly Park, Yeah for sure.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
And speaking of Donnelly Park and all of that, as
a result of the visit, I put together a little
kind of guide.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
On start here, go here, go here, go here. So
if you want to see all the lights.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
And then they are doing their annual Christmas Walk, which
is part of the reason I bring that up, and
that is on Friday from six to nine pm, so
tomorrow night. So definitely get there early if you can.
And the point of the Christmas Walk is they do
close a couple of streets off. They've got music, food vendors.
It's a great way to really kick it up a

(04:20):
notch with all the lights.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Yeah, not to mention, get into the vibe of the season.
It does a good job of that and me a
little crisp Friday night as well, which is gonna be
a little bit better as.

Speaker 7 (04:29):
Well, that's true. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Another one that's happening on Friday, a little closer to
home is Winter on the Avenue.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
This is Park Avenue, So if you want the highbrow.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Holidays celebration, they are going to have strolling carollers, kicks
off at five, ends at nine, jazz on performances, tree lighting,
and this year they did bring back their free carousels.

Speaker 7 (04:55):
Is this cute little carousel that's in front of City Halle,
free to ride.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
It's really pretty just kind of sets a whole classic
Christmas tone there. And then happening starting on Friday, Tomorrow, Saturday,
and Sunday all the way through the twenty first is
the Oh What Fun Holiday Festival at the Lake Nona
Town Center. So another free event nightly snowfall. They have

(05:21):
a great little market, they do performances. So this is
a little bit more rather than like your hallmark movie
Christmas that you would find at like Mount Dora or
Park Avenue, Lake Nonah has a little bit more of
like a high tech kind of modern Christmas field.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, feel.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Yes, you're you know, in your parking garage and you
got your zeros and ones everywhere.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
It's very urban. Let's see.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
Also in the Lake Nona area on Saturday, from eleven
am to nine thirty pm at Nona Adventure Park, they
are doing the Christmas Fiesta and that is going to
be another holiday market, live music and a car show
from eleven to five and karaoke from four thirty to
six thirty.

Speaker 7 (06:08):
Yeah, what could go wrong?

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Nothing says karaoke or nothing says Christmas like a sixty
seven Camaro in karaoke.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
How about this karaoke at a Christmas fiesta?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah right, you might as well.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Do you have to sign a passport to go to
all three those things?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
And you call it christ Christmas? Ok? Or something like that?
Is it only Christmas songs?

Speaker 7 (06:28):
Or I think it's a crowd choice? Perhaps?

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Oh wow?

Speaker 6 (06:32):
May I suggest Felice Navi dot.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Here would be the karaoke DJ to be only saying
Christmas songs all.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Christmas. And he's a Christmas event.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
You think you're gonna go with piano man right now?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
You should be doing that. No Sweet Caroline tonight.

Speaker 7 (06:50):
Oh thank god?

Speaker 3 (06:54):
No B fifty twos.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
And now we are going to take a moment and
chat about the front Yard Holiday Festival at the Doctor
Phillips Center. And it is supported by all kinds of
businesses because this thing is free. And I was there
this morning, got to say hi to mister Jack Bradshaw
hello as he set up the iHeart Radio booth that's there.
And this place is gorgeous. So as we pulled up,

(07:19):
my son was with me this morning, and I kind
of knew what to expect at the front Yard Festival,
but this just blew it away for me. It really
is like stepping foot into a story book. It's got
that old wood craftman European market field cool. So you've
got different archways you're walking through in lights everywhere, trees,

(07:41):
there's fire pits. The grand opening ceremony is happening in
one hour, but it is a free festival to go
to in front of the Doctor Phillips Center, and there's
different events happening throughout, including Sunday nights. They are doing
movie nights and so there's a six fifteen showing and
an eight thirty showing. The one that's happening this Sunday

(08:02):
is Doctor Seuss's The Grinch, followed by the Polar Express
on the following Sunday and more from there. So you
can check out I think it's doctor phillipsoner dot org.
Nice all that besides our side, of.

Speaker 9 (08:14):
Course, eighty live eighty performances over the next twenty eight nights.
It's open every night and it's free. They have outdoor
fire pits, they have a tree lighting every night, Santa
with the biggest Santa chair I've ever seen.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
I got thrones.

Speaker 9 (08:30):
Really yeah, They've got a bar, They've got food vendors.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
It's really cool, cool.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
Yeah, the outdoor bar is really really cool.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
It kind of reminded me of like Bryant Park in
New York, if anybody has been up there.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
And let's see.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Another huge celebration on Sunday is Crampis Fest. We are
one of the largest crampafest fests in the nation. Is
held here in Orlando. So that's happening Sunday from two
to nine pm in Sun six.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Deal with those guys. Really yeah, Crampus, you know, Grandpa Crampas.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
It's a good way to celebrate your birthday. Yeah, you
just kick it off all the way through the weekend.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's a lot of fun, and there's a meet and
greet with Crampis, at least there was last year, in
the year before the Christmas demon.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
Yeah, and there are like parents that bring their kids
and get terrorized pictures. I'm not a fan of that,
but to each their own.

Speaker 8 (09:25):
You know, if the elf on the shelf isn't working,
and maybe go see Crampus.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Hey honey, Hey honey, tell the goat Beast what you
want for Christmas.

Speaker 9 (09:33):
It's the parking lot by the Plaza, live across from
Beef King next to t g Lee.

Speaker 8 (09:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I've been there a couple of times. It's fun.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
They do craft beer and it's it's so it's family
friendly until like six o'clock and then it's.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Like get out.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Nothing says Christmas like get out. What's really cool is
you just seeing all the people who dress up. It's
very like it's like a con or something.

Speaker 7 (09:58):
Yeah, yeah, you're right, it is.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
It's like Franpa's gone. That's got to be a thing.
If somebody hasn't done.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
That yet, Oh my gosh, I'm buying it.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Trade market.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
And lastly, something to plan ahead for. This is happening Wednesday,
December tenth, it's pitch a friend. So I think I
mentioned this a week or two whe ago. They had
their first one in Orlando. So pitch a friend is
if you have a single friend that you were hoping
to put on the market, you do a presentation for them,
so you're essentially pitching to the rest of the venue

(10:30):
your friend and why you should date them. And this
one is happening at Live at the Point Orlando. They
do a different you know, kind of icebreakers and games,
and then if you have signed up in advance, you
get to do your three to five minute presentation on
your friend and hopefully they will get a date.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Man, that sounds a little dangerousus, right, Yeah, you could
be showing up looking for love, walking away losing a friend.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, I love.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Man, you walk away?

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Oh for two on some of those I've not heard
of anything like that. That's a very interesting concept.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
And they've done it in other cities, so Orlando is
the next one on the list. I think Tampa does.

Speaker 7 (11:14):
It as well. So this is I think it's a
great idea.

Speaker 6 (11:18):
I think if hopefully you have the right friend group
who is going to support you and help make a
good connection for you. So that's again Wednesday, December tenth
at seven pm.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
I'm an optimist.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yes, I would not get sold. My friends would do
a very bad job. People would run.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
I do love the idea, and I really hope that
it works because anything that helped any type of person
v person interaction in the sense of a relationship, even
if it's a friend. I am four ross.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
How would you sell Jack? I don't know.

Speaker 8 (11:51):
He wanted to hear that.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Closed? To sell Jack?

Speaker 5 (11:59):
If you were guy, if you were his wing man
and you had to sell this guy and you were
trying to get him a date, and you're you're trying
to pass him off.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
To somebody, do you what would that sound like? All right?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
So do you know the Ninja Turtles?

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
All right, Well you know the purple one, the smart one, Yeah,
the one who does you know, a lot of work,
but it's always behind the scenes and it's always like
kind of nerdy stuff, but it's always super efficient, all
the effort. He's really good with the bo staff as well.
That was just a jug for me and you, and
that was me testing the you know how what your
sense of humor is fictional?

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Lady?

Speaker 2 (12:32):
On this pitch a friend thing, He's also very reliable.
But when he speaks to you, you will be in
a whirlwind of confusion and you won't exactly know if
he's sarcastic or not. Speaks very he speaks cryptically. Yeah,
but it's really fun finding it out. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Oh, by the way, you get ready to share a meal.
This guy's cheap.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Oh my god, he's on you're not the biggest fan
of spicy food. And he loves Bruce Springsteen.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
Yeah, you like the you like nice purses, get ready
to window shop. You aren't getting one, you can look
at it in Its.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Overall definitely worth your time.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
I would agree with that, right.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
Yeah, you had like the first minute of the Dono
Tello uh uh situation was was doing was pretty good,
But you gotta throw in a little bit of spice.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
We got to find some spice.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
For Jack Jack cel Ross. You clothed, lanky, funny. Let's see, he's.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Uh mostly clean.

Speaker 7 (13:41):
Shot.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You've heard his.

Speaker 9 (13:42):
Male massage story got caught by you.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Like dudes with jeans are about an inch too high. Yeah,
he's a height thing. I'm trying to hype thing by
bad jeans thing. It's I don't shot thing. He tries
hard but just don't smell him too close again. Both

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I smell great. Hey, you smell like code red or
whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Extreame rerid baby.

Speaker 7 (14:13):
All right, it's a good thing. Both of these gentlemen
are taking Yes.

Speaker 8 (14:17):
Very good things, said the optimists.

Speaker 5 (14:19):

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
