(00:00):
Five, six, six, nineyear old is the text line. Someone
nine's got a good joke asking ifthe baseball's had the proper inflation after that
picture the flight gate going on baseball. Well, you know, hey,
listen, I mean they did changethe pill inside the baseball, right,

(00:21):
lit'st be totally honest. And howcrazy was that, you know, for
baseball to say, you know what, we want to flip this game on
his ears, let's just buy thecompany that manufactures the baseball. Right.
And for me, I don't knowwhat too. I was always a little
opposed to that. I was alwaysa little posed to the majorgue baseball buying

(00:45):
the yeah, man, because it'slike, okay, once again, when
we look at baseball and the peckingorder of every major sport, it's right
there below the NBA and right abovehockey. Yeah, that's popularity is concerned
close. But yeah, for aargument's sake, we'll put it there.
Yeah. Right. So the ideais, so, what's the biggest draw

(01:07):
when you think about baseball? Right? Because it's kind of a slow game,
it's about hitting home runs, andhow more can you affect the game
by changing the pill in the ball? Well? Right, And that's I
mean, I guess I get that, but I don't understand why that would
be a problem for you personally.I mean, that's Baseball is going to
do what Baseball wants to do withthat, either way, whether that's telling

(01:30):
the manufacturer to do it or whateverelse. I mean, I don't like
it because it doesn't give the pitchersa fighting chance. Oh, you're all
defense. It's always defense with personyes, always defense man. Come on,
I don't know. I mean,I just I'm not. I'm not.
I don't care if Baseball owns theballs. I don't care if they
own the manufacturer, like they're goingto adjust the ball to whatever they want

(01:53):
to adjust it to. I don'twant them. I don't want them making
the game to make the balls flymore, you know, I don't want
I didn't want the chemiston Baseball whenthey were, you know, with the
roids and all that. I don'twant them, you know, juice in
the balls to make the balls flyanymore than they do. But I don't
I don't really, I guess Idon't care if they if they own the
rights to the to making the balls, okay, them owning the rights for

(02:16):
me, meaning as though now youcan manipulate the ball itself, because once
again, the more the ball isgoing out of the ballpark, the more
butts are coming into the seats.Because people want to see home runs.
People want to see home Why doyou think we watch a home run day

(02:38):
derby? That's why we watch itevery single year. We know someone's gonna
win, some someone's gonna lose, but we watch it for that particular reason.
I go back to when the AllStar Baseball All Star was here at
Corsfield. I mean, I wasso excited watching that home run derby.
Now I didn't have, you know, like a dog in a fight,

(03:00):
but the idea was it was soexciting. Man. I was on the
edge of my seat. I wassitting there watching with my wife, who
normally doesn't watch, and even shewas excited. But but that's what baseball
knows. They know that rob effort, they know that people want to see
that right. And you know,Dave Temper was in here and I was

(03:21):
telling him, like, look alot of old school baseball. I guess
fans they like old school baseball. They don't want to see the bat flip.
I don't mind the bat flip.I'd like baseball to get some flair.
I'd like baseball to grow. Ilike like baseball to grow a younger
audience, because baseball's audience, byand large is fairly old. It's not
it's not a young and and peoplethere are they don't brand the star as

(03:43):
well. No they don't. Theydon't, they don't. They don't bran
the individuals like they used to.Baseball feels like it coasts. It's coasting
back on the reputation or the cloudthat had had in the eighties and early
nineties, which when it was thenumber one sport in America by far above
football and basketball. I remember thatera, and and it just doesn't feel
like they've They've got a the timemaking it a little bit quicker paced with
the pitching. Okay, I wasagainst that to begin with, but I'm

(04:05):
not opposed to it necessarily now.But it's just not. I mean,
baseball's got to find a way toappeal to a younger audience, and it
has struggled to do that. Butyou know, walk off grand slams like
you got tonight, that certainly putssomething back in the column, right,
Yeah, it does, especially foran organization that most baseball analysts if you

(04:25):
ask them, well, what's theoverall outlook for the Rockies long term?
Right, they have the Rockies probablywinning less than fifty nine games and losing
maybe one hundred and three like theylost last year, but being able to
have that certain level of excitement likeyou mentioned, you know, Ryan McMahon

(04:47):
his Grand Slam. To me,that's exciting and seeing you know, guys
jump up and celebrate. And wedon't know how many opportunities in this long
season the Rocky will be able tocelebrate something like this. But I think
it's worth noting now and celebrating because, I mean, last year it was

(05:08):
man, it was so crazy. It was so disappointing. So you need
something to look at it and say, look, man, I don't know
what's gonna happen down the line. But today it was awesome. It was
opening Day, it was seventy fivedegrees, it was hot, we had
a different menu at cors Field.Yeah, man, let's get it.

(05:29):
Everything broke right for the Rockies todayin the end, obviously winning ten seven,
even when it broke wrong and theyou know, on the top of
the night to come back to thebottom and everything did not break correctly on
my parlay, I had a fivepick parlay going for the basketball, hit
on everything but everything but Jaylen Duran. I had points, rebounds and assists.
He had to get twenty seven anda half, right, So he
had to get twenty eight combined points, rebounds and assists. Care to wager

(05:53):
how much? How many? Hegot? Two seventeen points, ten boards?
Who literally needed one board, assistor point more and my my parlot
hits But no, Well, yougotta think about it. Life is not
perfect. Yeah, I know, but I wanted that one. I know,
listen, but you've had opportunities before. I've smashed a lot of big

(06:15):
ones because I wanted this one. This is This was a plus six forty
parlay and it didn't work. Justlook at it this way, like the
Rockies is it starting? Yeah, right, well, no, it's it's
over. I missed on that asChris Daughtry was saying, it's it's not
no, Chris, it's over.I I you know, I thought that
I thought I had that one,but no dice on that. Uh,
the Rockies. The outlook for therest of the series, I mean,

(06:40):
you've got a winnable game tomorrow. If you look at the opening pitching.
And it's it's interesting to me howbaseball's changed because you used to look at
the pitchers and used to the startingpitcher and used to be like, oh,
this is a whatever. Pictures onlygo like four innings anymore, you
know, they don't go seven likethey used to. And the games are
different. Ryan Feldner, who whowill go for the Rockies and won the
five four e R ra Tyler Alexanderon the bump for Tampa Bay does not

(07:01):
have a Winter World loss, buthas a nine point zero er A And
you know, I just don't feellike the Raiser are a team that is
designed to win a course. They'rea small ball team, you know.
And this is a power this isa power park. It is. But
here here was the thing that Inoticed today in the game with the Rays.

(07:24):
They were aggressive at the play andthey did an excellent job starting with
Gomber making him actually work. Andfor me, I thought that was going
to be a huge problem because youdon't want, you know, the guy
who's starting off a game in thefirst inning to be at like forty pitches,

(07:45):
right, And this is where whenyou look at when the fact when
Colorado came up to bat, beingable to get on base early. We
always hear that in sports, tryingto start fast, and so far this
season the Rockies, it hasn't reallyworked out for them in that particular way.
So seeing them getting on the boardearly, I think that's where the

(08:07):
level of confidence came to make themove later in the ninth inning, even
though it's scared the Jesus out ofeveryone, but it just proves though,
man being aggressive and think about whatMcMahon did, just being aggressive on that
first pitch and that first pitch leadingto a Grand Slam, which I do

(08:31):
believe that there was a little Rockieshistory that was made because I think up
to this point that was the thirdwalk off Grand Slam and Rocky's history.
So good for Rhyme McMahon being apart of setting history for the Rockies.
Yeah, I you know, McMahon'shad a blistering bat. I love that

(08:52):
that he was able to make upfor his error. You know, that's
one of those things. Think aboutit when you were playing, you know,
you had a busted play. Somethinghappens a touchdown, you know,
and you go to the sideline.Yoh that's all me, guys, I
got this. The next time youget the opportunity to go back out there
doing Ryanan man went out there anddid it. See that's the one thing
that you hope that happens, butit really happens, those second chance opportunities,

(09:15):
And it reminds me of my careerwhere you know, let's just say
there's a game against Kansas City andI had like like sixty yards of penalties
by myself and that opportunity in thatparticular moment, I didn't get a do
over. We lost the game, and I had to listen to my secondary

(09:37):
coach, David Gibbs tell me whenI came in the next day, he
saw me, he was like,I hope you're not going to pick up
your check because you didn't earn it. And man, let me tell you,
it crushed me so much so Ididn't even touch the first stare stare
to walk upstairs because I was like, you know what I'm not going to

(09:58):
go upstairs is to pick up mycheck until I feel as though I've earned
it. I think that if Iif I messed up on a play fair,
but I wouldn't say I earned mydidn't earn my check that day,
it means I didn't. I didn'tproduce it to the level I should.
I'm still going to get that paycheckand I'm cashing as cash. I'm still

(10:18):
showing up to that well, youknow what I mean. No, I
was out there for fifty five plays, fifty four of which were good.
I'm getting paid for those fifty four. But ye'll cut your brake on that
one play. There's six bucks back, dude, Man, I was.
I was so upset, Like it'sIt's one thing to know yourself that you

(10:41):
were not at your best and youhad a particular play that hurt the team.
It's another thing when you have eitherfans or your coaches, but more
importantly, people who you know yourfriends hit you up and like dude,
what would you think? King? And it just it just like this,

(11:03):
this, all these boulders just fallon you. Man. He's just like,
man, you know what. Iwas trying to make a play.
No, I didn't pick up muchet for two weeks. I didn't go
pick up mu chet. But thenyou picked up your check. Yeah,
because when I said think about it, I said, when I feel as
though I've earned it, I'll gopick it up. Okay, But it
was for two weeks. You getinterest for that thing sitting there for two

(11:24):
weeks. Nah to give me nointerest? No, it's just set there.
I'm getting interested. No, howcan you get interest on it?
I'm just saying, like, ifyou didn't go catlet's giving them a free
two week loan. Well basically, well, let's just say I gave the
dinner Broncos a two week loan. You gave him a two week loan,
and then you came back and okay, squared it up. I just,
yeah, I heard what you're saying, and I agree with that, like

(11:45):
theoretically but in reality, but inreality, say put the money in the
bag, Broncos. Yes, wheremy money? But that's not my mentality.
Look like I played a lot ofguys who had that mentality that,
you know what, I'm gonna pickup my no matter what, no matter
how I play, practice whatever. And I see how you could mentally incentivize
yourself that way. Like I getit. Yes, you know, I

(12:07):
saw I started. I get whereyou're coming from. I just I've never
makes sense in the world of Bion. When I get it, it makes
sense to me. I'm just notdoing incentivizing myself in other waves, that
is not starving myself by denying myselfthe money I'm not doing. Listen,
man, it was you've seen howmuch I eat. The food buildings are,

(12:28):
I've seen how much you eat.Absolutely Vancouver. Was there when I
put away the taco? Were youthere the night that I didn't know?
Okay, well, good for you. You didn't have to see that memory,
the vision like fifteen tacos from TacoBill heard about it, though.
Yeah, apparently it's making the roundsof the building or the legends made there,
because I've had people ask now andI'm like, yeah, yeah,
I did that. You just alreadyhad last night, like like bowl two

(12:52):
double quarter pounders, and then Iwent and got some donuts. I was
here for that. Yeah, okay, all right, part you were eating
the Chipotle and then you left togo get the McDonald's. Right, yeah,
I'm still hungry. Man. Sorry, I say he's got a tape
worm. He must have a tateworm you eat that much, which is
why I kind of brought up supersizedme the other day and eating all this
McDonald's and Chipotle and fast food thathis body's just gonna shut down at some

(13:13):
point. That's what they keep tellingme, but it keeps on taking.
I told him, if he startsto eat salad, like just say,
well all the junk food he eats, just shut it down and eat salad
every single meal for a week. His body would not know what to do
with itself. Salad is what myfood eats. I I ingest salad secondhand.
Oh that's that's that's how you justifysecondhand salad eating. That's how that's

(13:37):
how I get that. Uh,the nine on forces. How bad it
is that the Denver Broncos don't havedirect deposit? Talk about you not picking
your check up? Wait, waitright, hold on. To be fair,
it's not that the Denver Broncos didnot offer depositive. They have it.
But me, I need to check. I need to see the visual

(13:58):
hit. I need to check ifthe NFL find me for something. I
want to see what I'm being done. I was like the last person here
at iHeart to get direct deposit likeI had. I was getting paper checks
forever and then what I've got lostin the mail, And I got real
ticked off. I was like, all right, one got lost in the
mail at Direct Positive. But Iwas like the last person on her still
getting physical checks. That's crazy,Like they like it was funny because like

(14:22):
the I would get the periodic thingsfrom h We have direct deposit available if
you want it. Just let youknow forth time this year. One guy
that we've got a moa forest downto send a one guy. Hey,
but listen, look, we allhave our things that we're creatures of habit
with. And when you think aboutthe Rockies game for for a second,

(14:48):
there had to be a moment inthe game for so many Rockies fans,
whether you were at the ballpark oryou were watching at home or wherever you
were that you were like, oh, here we go again. This is
the typical Rockies we know well RyanMcMahon, he was probably like, Man,
I can't go pick up my check. Nick Ferguson's gonna shave me.
I gotta go hit this home runso I can go pick my check up.

(15:09):
I got a family. Now he'sgonna pick up his set. He's
got a family, defeed, man, kids are gonna be starving in the
street, trust me, Tim,No, no, it's trust please rhyming
Man. Kids were not going tobe starting. He was gonna be Okay,
those those baseball checks are a lotdifferent For the baseball checks are ridiculous.

(15:33):
So if you gotta you got akid that's coming up with, that's
what saying. What position would youadvise my son to play? Baseball?
Or basketball or golf, anything withfootball, anything but football? Five,
six, six, nine year oldsof text line NFL six Pack coming up
next, celebrating the Rockies ten toseven win home opener win over the Tampa

(16:18):
Bay Rays off the walk off GrandSlam by Ryan McMahon. But right now
it's time for the NFL six pack. It's time for the NFL six Pad.
I'm insight and insight information you can'tfind anywhere else. No. Six
the top six NFL headlines one.According to a report, Josh Allen snapped

(16:41):
at Stefan Diggs after the Week onelost to the Jets on Wednesday, the
Bills moved on from receiver Stefan Diggsthe results of an accumulation of little things
that make it hard to Buffalo justifycontinuing the relationship. However, according to
Tim Graham, there was one fairlybig thing that happened a Week one of
the twenty twenty three season. Hementioned on his podcast an incident between Alan

(17:03):
and Diggs after the season opening lostto the Jets, who lost quarterback Aaron
Rodgers after only four plays for Graham, Diggs approached Alan in the locker room,
and Alan didn't react well to whateverDig said said quote, I don't
know what Stefan Diggs said to him, and Josh Allen snapped at him,
said it's one bleeping game and kindof motion like I'm not talking to you
here. Digs walked away. Joshsat there in retrospect, keeping minds was
week one when for all we knoweverything when was Honckey Dory. But looking

(17:26):
back on it, I wish Iwould have included my story made some sort
of reference to it. Maybe StefanDiggs was saying something nice to him,
but Alan didn't snap at anyone else. Chances are Allen course didn't snap without
a reason. Doesn't seem to bethat way. Or maybe he was on
edge after throwing three interceptions losing inprime time to Zach Wilson. It was
a Diggs comment that pushed his buttons, But the Bills tried to reshape the
tream around Josh Allender in the remainingyears of his prime. What do we

(17:49):
think about them reporting on quarterbacks snappingas receiver after Week one last season.
I think it's worth noting because inthis story we always know that there's the
heroes of the villain, and inthis particular saga, it is Stefan Diggs
who is portrayed as being the villainbecause we've seen him say things to Josh

(18:11):
Allen and Ester other things on thesideline. But this is what happens,
man, when you have that driveto win and those ws are not coming
as frequently as they should or youthink that they should. But for me,
I like to see that energy.I like to see the fact that
guys actually care and who's the same. You know, the fact of Stefan

(18:33):
Diggs wearing out is welcome could havehad a lot to do with some of
the things he said to Josh Allen, and Josh Allen might have been the
individual who helped push this over thetop. Two well, Stefan Diggs might
be the hero, at least toJimmy Ward. Diggs has opted to switch
uniform numbers, switching from fourteen, which he's worn throught his entire NFL career

(18:56):
to number one now with the HoustonTexans. The movie had come with a
Rice, though safety Jimmy Ward hadnumber one with the Texans, iving selected
the number of last year and forriving from San Francisco. Ward gave up
number one to Digs for roughly onehundred thousand dollars. Aaron Wilson of KPRC
reports or will return to wearing numbertwenty, which he wore for three seasons
in San Francisco before switching to onewith the Niners in twenty twenty one.

(19:17):
Digs presumably could have gotten fourteen withthe Texans for less money, since receiver
Alex Bachman has it now. Instead, he's trying something new. Would you
ever give one hundred thousand dollars foruniform number? Uh? No, I
will not do that. I willnot give up one hundred thousand dollars.
You know what, maybe we couldplay rock paper scissors for it, but

(19:37):
that's a significant amount of money togive up. And listen, I've heard
guys paying more money than that fora number. Because here's what. Remember
a couple of years ago, theleague changed the rule if you change their
number, you gotta buy up allyou got to buy out all the inventory,
right right, So this may bea costly move for both Jimmy Ward
and stuff on how many war jerseyswere actually out there in production though,

(20:00):
because we have another scenario where somebodydidn't pay for it. Kirk Cousins was
going to pay for number eight forKyle Pitts and ultimately found out how much
money he was gonna have to spenda buyab all the Kyle Pitts jerseys and
now I'm team from here on out. Yes three CFL Rookie of the Year
Kwantes Stiggers continues his visits with NFLteams. Cornerback Quantes Stiggers standout debut season

(20:22):
in the CFLs made a popular guestaround the NFL. Last couple of weeks,
Stiggers was named the CFL's most OutstandingRookie. He kicked off his tour
by visiting the Lions and Texans lastmonth, moved on to the Dolphins on
Monday, as agent Fred Lyles announcedthat he's also had visits with the Jets
and the Ravens. Meetings continued todaywith a visit to the Denver Broncos and
a visit to see the Vikings. On April eight, Stiggers did not play

(20:45):
college football, signed with the TorontoOrgonauts. After playing in the Fan Controlled
Football League, is eligible to bedrafted this year and took part in the
East West Shrine Game. It's spenta popular name associated with the Denver Broncos
corners of position. The Broncos areobviously looking yeah, what do you think
about important? The CFL Rookie ofthe Year would be the second CFL of
any type Player of the Year tobe on the roster since Alex Singleton won

(21:07):
Defensive Player of the Year in theCFL previously. I like it in the
fact that you bringing up Alex Singletonthat may help his cause. Who's well
another CFL guy who was able toget a big payday for himself. And
as a guy who has played inthe CFL and I needed to make my
trek back, It's all important, especially when you play the corner position,

(21:30):
because those guys they can run atyou, which makes covering them a lot
more difficult, and they can move. And then looking out at the deep
throws and the red zone types ofplays, deep outs, there's no such
thing in the CFL. So youlearn to be a better cover player in
the CFL, and if you canmake that jump back to the NFL.

(21:51):
It'd be a great asset for anyteam. Yeah, I like the idea
for Lyles. Obviously, he's hadsome players here with the Broncos before,
so it'd be interesting to see ifif Quantes Stiggers does indeed get drafted by
the Denver Broncos. For well patientswill the Cleveland Browns have with DeShawn Watson
Browns QB DeShawn Watson said Thursday's gonnabe ready for Week one. The bigger
the question is how many weeks he'llplay after that. His first year in

(22:15):
Cleveland was short to six games thanksto multiple injuries. His second season also
consisted of six games. That's ninetytwo million dollars for twelve games thus far.
This year, he will get anotherforty six million and fully guaranteed salary
did over twenty twenty five to twentytwenty six. Browns opted not to restructure
the deal in twenty twenty four, keep him on the books at a cap
number of sixty three point seven sevenmillion. Cap number is slightly more than

(22:36):
that each of the next two yearsas well. Watson's contract wasn't fully guaranteed
through twenty twenty six. This wouldlikely be in an upper out year because
the final two years wouldn't have beenguaranteed. Browns will have ninety two million
in cash due to Watson over thefinal two years of the contract, along
with one hundred and thirty six pointninety three eight million in cap charges,
so they'll be paying him whether he'son the team or not. It would
be no reason to cut him.At some point, however, the Browns

(23:00):
to ask if he's the best optionto lead the team. Loaded up with
three backups from now, none ofwhom are Camp's arms. They thrived with
Joe Flacco obviously late in the seasonin twenty twenty three, might have been
concerned that his presence of popularity wouldhave created a groundswell for m de leap
Frog Watson if DeShawn struggles Watson hasyet to perform like he did with the
Texans. When the Browns trade forhim, Deshaun Watson, what do you

(23:21):
think about what that contract has beenso far? And do you think he
ever lives up to it? Oh? No, man, it's gonna be
tough to live up to that typeof contract, kind of the first NFO
history, and that puts a heavyburden expectations on Deshaun Watson. And it's
not that I think that Deshaun isn'ttalented, but it's just the injuries like

(23:41):
last year when he got injured againstBaltimore. The so called hip drop tackle
is what j Damian Clowney used thatultimately injured and take took Deshaun Watson out
of that game. But I thinkKevin Sepanski they're in a good position if
things don't work out. Yeah, they have to eat a lot of dead
cap money, but you got JamisWinston, Talla Huntley, and dtr on

(24:02):
that team as well, so younever know how things work out for Cleveland.
Yeah. I I mean they've loadedup with a bunch of different backups
who have experienced it, clearly showingat this point that their confidence level may
not be as high in him asas you would like. To have.
Five police fround ten point eight grams, which is less than announced about third

(24:22):
announce so of marijuana in the Lamborghinithe Chiefs Receiver or she Rice, was
driving. According to police report obtainedby WFAA, the amount makes it a
Class B misdemeanor charge in Texas andnot a felony as was originally reported.
Class B misdemeanors are punishable by onehundred and eighty days in jail at a
fine not to exceed two thousand dollars. Attorney Royce West admitted a Thursday news

(24:42):
conference at Rice was driving the LamborghiniUrus. Both high end vehicles involved in
the alleged street race that resulted ina six car collision in Dallas were linked
to Rice is lease his owns. The Chevy Corvette was leasing the Lamborghini from
Classic Lifestyle. Occupants of the twocars fled the scene, leaving multiple victims

(25:03):
behind without exchanging information or insurance.According to the police report, Rice is
expected to face charges in the reckand he is subject to the NFL disciplined
violation for personal conduct policy. Doesit adding the pot to anything? Does
that? Does that change anything foryou? Uh? No, No,
pun intended about the pot. Itdoes change things, I guess very slightly,

(25:26):
because the way I look at itis only adds more to the fact
of here's a player, young playerhad success coming off of Super Bowl title
and didn't really handle the level ofsuccess the way that he needed to.
The bigger issue is the company youkeep. I was always told as a
youngster growing up and I tell thisto kids. Now show me your friends

(25:48):
and I'll tell you who you are. So this is going to be growing
up for Rashid Rice on so manydifferent levels. And will he be able
to part ways with these particular freefans who may have somewhat encouraged some of
his behavior, But once again, this doesn't absolve him of his own personal
rone door. One of the noteson Rice when he was coming out in

(26:11):
the draft was at least one teamhas removed him from his draft board because
of behavioral issues. A quote He'stalented, but not a good dude.
One personnel director said. It's likethat kind of reporting is getting verified now.
Six new Terry McDonough lawsuit makes strongallegations against Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell.

(26:33):
Arbitration was round one, the litigationwill be round two as former Cardinals
exec Terry McDonough might be going forthe knockout. Paragraph ninety of the civil
complaint filed by McDonough, his wife, and his daughter against Cardinals owner Michael
Bidwell and others contains this list ofallegations against Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell. Quote.
Bidwell retaliated against McDonough for merely exercisinghis right to file an arbitration proceeding

(26:53):
before Commissioner Goodell. Bidwell hired apublic relations firm to dig up dirt on
Terry McDonough and spread lit is aboutTerry and his family. Bidwell and other
defendants went after McDonough's family, spreadinglives about his wife and daughter. Well
admitted that he acted with intent toharm McDonough and his family. Lied and
sworn testimony during his deposition, repeatedlylied and sworn testimony before an arbitrator duly

(27:15):
appointed by Commissioner Goodell. Admitted toviolating the terms of Chime's suspension. Admitted
the illicit Burger phone scheme for communicatingwith Chime during his suspension. Admitted lying
to the public about violating the suspension. It goes on and on. Bidwell
was aware of Carolyn McDonough's special needscondition, but went out of his ways

(27:36):
to viciously to fame her and didall these things, these allegations that are
insane that it goes through and basicallythe summit up. Michael Bidwell hired a
pr firm to go after Terry McDonoughand say that he was a deadbeat dad
and all this that he walked away. For all this kind of stuff,
the cardinal has been required to paymcdonah three million, two point two five
million, of which reflects punitive damagesfor the team's behave your NFL's not responded

(28:00):
to any emails seeking comment on whetherthe arbitration or world will spark discipline for
Bidwell. But there's two separate issueshere. One is the defamation of mcdonna,
and two is the violation of theterms of the crime suspension, both
already clear based on a fifty sixpage arbitration ruling. I wonder if Michael
Bidwell is going to be receiving punishmentfrom the league. We'll just have to

(28:22):
wait to see. But this isone of those stories. May you think
that you would never hear coming outof the NFL for these types of things
to be said from a defamation standpoint, to really make a guy look this
bad publicly. And we know howthis thing works when we hear something in
the public, and the more wehear it, there is kind of this

(28:45):
tendency to believe that it is forreal. But this is just kind of
this is another black eye for theNFL, and you have to ask yourself,
why would a team go through ortwo of these depths to try to
prove that a guy's is as badas they want to win? In all

(29:07):
actuality, he's not. Yeah, they knew that his complaint was legitimate and
hired a pr for him to smearthe guy that's dirty like that. Well,
they knew he was telling the truth. They knew it, and they
hired a public relations for him tosmear the guy. I mean, wow,
he's already gotten three million dollars, you know, two point twenty five,

(29:29):
which now he ended up having topay. There was two parts of
his complaint that didn't he didn't winon, so he ended up having to
pay them fifty grand back out ofthat three million. But other than that,
you know, Yeah, he's moppingthe floor with the Cardinals. So
far, it looks like the civillitigation is about to be even messier.
I'm sure by the time this wholething is over, there's probably gonna be

(29:51):
more things coming out about the Cardinalsorganization how they mis handle this. Yeah,
but what it should say to alot of individuals, whether you're a
sports fan or not that okay, here here is an NFL ownership group or
whatever team or you want to classifyit to the idea of hiring an outside

(30:14):
firm to make a guy's life,he and his family are miserable. Hell,
what does that say about the individualsrunning that particular organization. Yeah,
I mean they knew that what hewas saying was accurate, and instead of,
you know, just trying to likesettle it, they went after him,
like, I did you not thinkthat that was going to end poorly?

(30:36):
It's like you're trying to bluff ata card game where you already know
the other guys got the winning hand. But when the idea is that we
have more money and power and influencethan you have, then we can manipulate
the situation and tell people what tothink and consider about you, and they'll
be thinking that until I come withreceipts. Listen, they may say,
you may come with receipts, butwhere we have deeper pockets, well,

(31:00):
all receipts a bit better than yours. Well, I guess it's sort of
fair because I've been the victim ofpeople smearing me and then you know they
had deeper pockets. I mean Ihad receipts of little My records are public
but yeah, I guess I cansee where that's coming from. I just
I don't know. I don't understand. I don't understand that something. I
don't understand the Cardinals way of doingthings there. And I've got friends in
fairness in that organization. So forme, I'm like, oh, this

(31:22):
sucks for you know, you guysare gonna have to deal with this cloud
hanging over it. But the ideais that if in some way they can
make fans think twice about you andyour level of ethics, that's all they
need, right they In any timesomeone find themselves in this situation, it's

(31:44):
like, okay, well, howcan we discredit the individual? Right?
The way that we discredit the individualis by going to individuals who we know
in the media to leak certain stories. And these stories may not even be
legit, but it's just the factthat if you are listener, are you
reading, are you consuming media,You're hearing so many things consecutively about an

(32:05):
individual or the group that they're associatedwith. The idea is that, oh,
it must be true, right, because like they say, anything that's
on internet is true, right,Yeah, And I know personally that obviously
that is not the case. Youknow, McDonough was a VP with the
Cardinals for a while there. SteveKime obviously Michael Bidwell's friend and you know,
kind of drinking buddy, and sothat that was a situation that it

(32:30):
just it wasn't like Steve Khin wasall bad. I mean, he was
the guy who brought in Carson Palmerback in the day when when you know,
when Arizona needed that. It wasn'tlike all the moves that Kime made
were bad. I mean, draftingJosh Rosen looks terrible in hindsight. The
one and done nature of the SteveWilkes situation looks bad in hindsight. Yeah,
that was him. So it's youknow, there's a lot, there's

(32:51):
a lot going on there, butthe Burger Phone aspect of it, where
Michael Bidwell the league had to suspendedSteve Khime for his you know, for
his drink and told him he couldn'thave any contact with the team. So
Michael Bidwell bent out and bought BurnerPhone so he could just have the same
amount of communication to get everything done. And now that's coming out in court.
You know, who's to say TerryMcDonough doesn't know more things about I

(33:16):
believe that he does, Like, you're just opening yourself up to put this
stuff in court, put to putit in legal documents out there, And
we thought that this is why youtry to discredit a person as much as
you can. So if they didcome out with legitimate information, no one's
going to believe them. But Ithink everybody's gonna believe him now everybody does
now. But yeah, I mean, I if it were me and I

(33:38):
was Michael Bidwell would have paid anyamount of money. I'd been like,
No, what is it gonna take, Terry to make this go away?
To make you sign a non disclosure? What is it going to take do
you think? I mean, we'veseen something happen in the league before where
the former Panther's owner was kind offorced to sell his team. We saw
the same thing with Sarah Richardson.Could with this possible situation. It's what

(34:00):
I'm wondering, is this something thatit's going to rise to that level?
Although to be fair, we knowthat Stephen Ross was Tampa and with Sean
Payton and Tom Brady and you know, nothing really came to that. He
had a slap on the wrist ofminor fine and that was it. So
you know, I don't know.It does it does lead one to ask
or one to think about what theconsequences could be for Michael Bidwell up with
all this, especially if this istrue. And wonder what else they're hiding,

(34:21):
If Terry mcdone's sitting on that's thebiggest question. What else are they
hiding? But we're not hiding? Is coverage here tomorrow the Colorado Rock.
He's coming off that ten to sevenhome opener win on the Grand Slammery McMahon.
Look forward to hearing that exclusively hereon kay You listening to Broncos Country tonight
