Welcome to it, Broncos Country Tonight. Ben's mud Albright here with you short
post Rockies Show edition. Let's forjoining us five six six nine zeros text
line, you guys want to getinvolved in the conversation. Interesting day around
sports around the NFL, A lotof uh clearing the air of legalities,

(00:23):
it felt like around a lot ofsports today. Major League Baseball saying that
there's nothing that indicates that Shohiotani wasorchestrating, knew about, or perpetrating paying
or betting with an illegal bookmaker, and that it was all in the interpreter.
Police come out say that Rashi Ricewas going one hundred nineteen miles an

(00:46):
hour at the time of the accident, which presumably means he had slowed down
at some point in his Lamborghini Arsjust one hundred and nineteen miles an hour
on I mean, we all gotdumb stories from our twenties where we took
a car out and saw how fastwe could do. But this is in

(01:11):
the middle of Dallas traffic. Thespeed limit on that highway is seventy miles
an hour, and apparently he hadbeen going fast and that was the slowdown.
Number four and a half seconds beforethe crash, he was at one
hundred and nineteen miles an hour. That's part of the ARRESTAFFI David in the

(01:34):
Dallas Morgan News. Rice of coursefaces eight felony charges as a result of
the crash. Chiefs in the NFLhave not taken action and response to the
incident yet, although the person drivingthe other vehicle, who is currently plays
football at SMU, I believe wassuspended he read this and talked about him

(01:55):
doing multiple maneuvers to get through trafficand all that kind of stuff. Just
a bad situation overall. The legalfallout from Oj Simpson passing away continues to
mount OJ, who was of courseacquitted for the double murder, but a

(02:22):
civil jury found that he that hekilled Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, and
a thirty three and a half milliondollar verdict was entered against him, but
he didn't pay that off, andso with years of interests, the amount
due now exceeds over one hundred milliondollars, and so the attorneys are trying
to collect that by targeting his estate. Over the years, Simpson paid a

(02:51):
total of one hundred and thirty threethousand dollars and that was it on the
thirty three and a half million dollarjudgment. His NFL pension was exempt from
collection, but cash or other propertyin this state our game. So it's

(03:13):
going to be interesting to see howthat gets worked out in the end.
Like I said, with all theinterest owed on this a thirty three and
a half million dollar judgment has morethan tripled at this point because OJ Simpson
paid a poultry one hundred and thirtythree thousand dollars and that's it. In

(03:35):
the years that followed five, six, six, nine zeros text line,
a lot of mock draft stuff goingon. I try to steer clear of
that stuff, but I know youguys like it, so I'll get into
some things that I saw on that. Nick and I had a great interview
with Hall of Fame running back TorrelDavis last night. We'll replay that again

(03:59):
tonight for you guys that missed itlast night, get a chance to listen.
I might just do me a littlemock draft as well. You guys
seem to like those, so doanother one. It's it won't be appreciably
different than the last one, butwe can go over the picks and kind
of go through it and see wherewe're at with that hot. The new

(04:25):
hot quarterback name roaming around Broncos countrytoday was Spencer Rattler, or someone had
made the connection that Rattler's offensive coordinatorlast year at South Carolina, Dwell Loggins
had worked with Sean Payton before, which isn't exactly true. They were both
on the Dallas Cowboys staff together intwo thousand and five, but David Lee

(04:46):
had gotten him the job there inDallas, and he was a scouting assistant.
He wasn't a coach, so Iyou know, I people make all
these connections and maybe, you know, maybe there's something he said for that,
but I I mean, it's justinteresting how we get to this part
of the year and everybody's looking forthe chain of events that leads you to
whatever it leads you to. Therewas a report or something. I'm not

(05:15):
gonna call a report because it wasn'treport, but there's something floating around yesterday
which was a misattribution of a quotefrom Paul Allen in Minnesota calling the Broncos
desperate, saying they do anything toget up and get their guy, all
this kind of stuff, which wasnot an actual quote from the radio show,
even though it was purported to be, and the things that they said
were at opinion, not a report. And I mean, I got so

(05:42):
much on this yesterday, so manypeople hitting me up with this. First
of all, Paul Allen is veryrespected, let me start with that.
Second of all, our own,Brendan Cristall went on his show and when
asked what could the Broncos do toget ahead of Minnesota if they were dueling
for the same you know, tryto get up for the same quarterback or

(06:03):
for the same slot b KA,you know, they said, well,
I mean, obviously they don't havethe draft capital. I guess you'd have
to dip into the Pats or Tanportion of it, uh speaking completely as
a hypothetical, and BK has sincecome out and clarified that. But this
person got on social media and purportedthat the Broncos were desperate, willing to

(06:25):
do anything trade Pat Mahome or Patsare Tan all this stuff, And it's
not a report, it's not athing. It's not real, And the
Broncos aren't trading Patricksontan like they're not. And I don't know why we we
have to keep going to this, you know, over and over again.
But Okay, everything that they've saidpublicly, everything they've said privately, they're

(06:49):
gonna get. You know, they'regonna extense their tan. He's the building
block for this football team. Likethat gets, you know. I don't
want to understand some fans obsession withwanting to trade away the best player on
the team in order to, youknow, get a draft chance on you
know, the fourth best quarterback inthis class. Perhaps it just doesn't make

(07:11):
sense. So I wanted to clearthat up because I got a lot of
you asking about that. That isnot a real quote, that's not a
report, that's not a real thing. That is someone's speculation. Do I
believe that the Denver Broncos like J. J. McCarthy, Yes I do.
Do I believe that that they haveinvestigated what it would take to get

(07:31):
up there? Yes? I dodo. Do I believe that they are
actually going to pull the trigger andget to three or four? I don't
for several reasons. But that's rightnow. That's that's where we're at.
Something changes, the price drops, and you know that kind of thing.
I guess, you know, wecan revisit that before the draft. We
still got a little time. Butas it sits right now. I don't.

(07:54):
I don't see any scenario which thathappens. So the latest, the
latest things that that you know, people are doing. As we get into
this, you get this this avalancheof air quotes, information most of which
isn't even information. It's just peoplebuilding off each other's speculation. And that's
how you get these weirdo surprises ondraft days. People built off other people's
speculation and certainly made that a truthto them, and then they're surprised on

(08:18):
draft day when certain things don't happenor I thought this was going to happen,
or that, you know, thatkind of stuff, and so you
just got to be careful, youknow, to be honest, the most
accurate information that I've found over theyears, the most accurate period of time
for information is roughly right after thecombine, like that first two weeks after

(08:41):
the combine, and then you know, because leaks get out and then all
of a sudden, people start buildingoff that with their speculation and it just
it just goes it goes to hellfrom there. So I don't I try
to step back from a lot ofthat at this point in time. I
try to step back from a lotof that this time of the year,
mostly because I just it's tough toseparate fact from fiction and who is who

(09:03):
is actually getting information and who's not. And if I don't personally know that
you know, know a person,or if I don't you know, if
I can't personally verify that they've spokenwith somebody in the know, that I'm
disregarding most of that stuff that's putout because you know, I don't know,
I don't know them, I don'tknow what they're doing. And there's
so many people out there, somebody, fake accounts, people pretending they have

(09:24):
sourcing that they don't, things likethat, and it's just it's frustrating because
when you're in my shoes and youjust want to be somebody that connects you
guys to information, that's that's it. Like I just want to connect you
information, that's it. And sohaving this to wede through the amount of
people trying to elbow their way intothe space with hoping one of these fake

(09:46):
reports that they put out hits isit's frustrating, and people have wondered why
On Twitter, I constantly point outsome of these fake accounts. You know,
there are accounts that put out demonstrablyfalse information or a copy of the
people's work that don't have any sourcingof their own, like the NFL RUMs
or the NFL, NFL Notify orm L Football those none of those accounts

(10:11):
like that they're there. They aggregatesort of because they don't credit and and
they don't have any original reporting orinformation. Nobody's contacting them with any of
this kind of stuff. They readstuff that's on Pro Football Talk or on
Twitter or Reddit, and then theypost it, you know, calling it
a breaking rumor whatever that means.I don't know what a breaking rumor could
be, but uh, they postit under those kind of titles and and

(10:33):
you know, and hope that theyhit. They delete the ones that miss,
and then you know, hope thatthey hit and and go from there.
So I don't, you know,be careful at this time of year
with with presuming that every bit ofinformation presented is actually factual. As far
as the vikings and that that youknow, the Broncos desperate and all this
kind of stuff, I would notsuggest that that is true. I would
say that certainly the Broncos have madecalls, I mean, to every team

(11:00):
with this responsible general manager knows theprice tag to move up and down at
this point. I just, youknow, I don't think that they're in
a position to be able to dothat at this point. If something changes
and the quarterback happens to fall andyou know, uh, slips into that
eight nine ten rain, you know, maybe they can get up and get
them. But there's right now, getting to four seems like an an impossibility

(11:22):
at least an improbability, and maybenot an impossibility might be a little harsh
or a little strong five six sixnine zeros in text Line'll take your questions
as well. So we've got ashort show tonight post Rockies. Nick has
the night off. Just be here. We will re air the Torrell Davis

(11:43):
interview for you. A lot ofyou didn't get a chance to hear that.
Well, we'll reair that one foryou tonight as well. Uh.
And then you know, I'm gonnado a little mock draft action. It's
been been about a week or so, maybe two weeks, and I'll do
a little mock draft and see ifwe can figure out what the Broncos can
do with the options are going tobe there at twelve. It's interesting because

(12:05):
you know, some years you justbe fuddled. I kind of have no
clue what's going to happen. Andin some years you're like, you think
you got a great pulse on it. This is this is one of those
years where I think I've got apretty good pulse on the top, you
know, top half of the draft, which of course means nothing will go
the way I I envision it,and it'll be out of chaos. But
you know, it does like itdoes feel that way. It feels like

(12:26):
I've got a pretty good, prettydecent pulse on you know where where the
league is at the top half ofthe draft. Maybe I'm maybe I'm wrong,
Maybe I wind up being you know, completely out at the lunch,
but you know, we'll see fivesix, six, nine zero. Should
the Broncos take brock Bowers if he'sthere, Well, you know, let's

(12:50):
get to that. Let's get tothat in the mock draft. I mean,
brock Bauer is a heck of atalent. I don't think he's gonna
be there when I do the mockdraft. Well, we'll get into the
explanation on that. I appreciate,I appreciate you ask, and though we'll
get to that here in the injust a bit. We don't have any
ice Cube tickets to go away aheadtwo or three people asking about that tonight.
No ice Cube tickets tonight. ButI think we got some uh that

(13:13):
we're given away on Wednesday. Ithink so if you want one more pair,
I think we're given some way.The Kai Sports shows giving a few
away, and then I think we'regiving a couple of way on on Wednesday,
so you have other chances to towin doing that. There are several

(13:35):
stories about this Tom Brady saying maybehe would come back kind of thing.
Brady was on a podcast and talkedabout, you know, if there was
a team that had all the quarterbacksgo down and they were a playoff team
and you know it's late in theseason, that kind of thing, that
he might be interested. I struggleto see that, especially with what he's

(13:58):
got going on with Fox, butcertainly he left the door open on this
podcast, and now everybody's speculating onthat, including people speculating about the possibility
of the Denver Broncos. The Dolphinsfamously were in trouble for tampering, and

(14:20):
the idea was that they were goingto bring Sean Payton and Tom Brady into
Miami a few years back, andso I think people are trying to reunite
that speculation and draw a connection thatthat Tom Brady. The reason that Broncos
haven't made any moves is because TomBrady would be the one to come here
and play for Sean Payton and allthat kind of stuff. I'm not saying

(14:43):
impossible, but improbable, especially withTom trying to become a part owner with
the Raiders and that organization. SoI don't don't I don't believe that he'll
be back. I think that he'sdone, but I've been you know,

(15:03):
I thought Michael Jordan was done, then he came back with the Wizards.
We've certainly seen instances of people comeback after having been out for a while
just to kind of help out fora couple of games, that kind of
thing. I think the most famousone to me, he's Steve de Berg

(15:24):
and Broncos fans may older Broncos fansmay remember de Berg playing for the Broncos,
may remember him as a chief aswell. Played for the Niners,
Bucks, Dolphins, but he wasout of the league. He had he
went to Miami, I believe was, and then he retired after the nineteen

(15:52):
ninety three season, and in nineteenninety eight, Dan Reeves, who had
worked with him with the Broncos, needed a quarterback with Chris Chandler unable to
play, so he came back afterfive years out of the league at the
age of forty four, rejoined DanReeves with the Atlanta Falcons and wound up

(16:17):
being the third oldest quarterback to playin an NFL game when he played against
I think was the Jets if Iremember correctly. Not one hundred percent sure,
but in anyway, there's precedent. Not that I believe that Tom Brady
will come back, but there's certainlyprecedent for someone being out of the league
for a number of years coming backat forty plus and playing a couple of
games. Five six six nine zerosa text line. We do that TD

(16:41):
interview. We do. Got somemock draft stuff coming up for you.
This is Broncos Country Night on KAWAninety four News Talk Sports. Welcome back
to it, Broncos Country Tonight.Benjamin Albright here with you again. Short
show post Rockies. Nick Ferguson hasa night off just me and you guys

(17:03):
here five six six nine zero onthe text line. Yes, we are
going to do a little mock drafthere, a little surprise mock draft.
I don't have the results of thelast one I kind of did with you
guys on the air in front ofme, so I don't know how appreciably
different it'll be. But I alwayshate it when people do that. I
only do one mock draft a year, like on paper, just because I

(17:26):
hate how people like to tout theygot something in their mock draft, but
they get they did like fifty ofthem, so of course certain things are
going to hit. There are acouple of different services that keep track of
the most accurate mock drafts every year. I've been lucky enough to, you

(17:47):
know, be one of the mostaccurate in the world or in the top
five at least couple of times. So when I do the print version,
which will be the day before thedraft, the Wednesday before the draft,
I will I will post that atat the Koe website Kwaitclorado dot com.

(18:11):
You used to we used to likeauction that off for charity. I used
to, you know, like ifa website one to post it there because
it tends to I mean, notto be self aggrandizing. It does tend
to get a lot of clicks,so we used to do that, but
I think this year we're just gonnapost it up on the Kowit website and
you guys can kind of get thatthere. I'll post a link on Twitter,

(18:33):
social media, all that kind ofstuff, but that'll come out to
Wednesday morning before the draft. It'smy only one I do every year,
and I just I don't. Ican't do like fifteen of them and have
I mean, I guess I could, but I don't. I don't like
doing that stuff because I just don'tlike. Again, I don't like reading
oil in my mock draft fifteen Arevision five B, paragraph three, I

(18:59):
you know, predicted this, andoh you didn't. You just threw it
off darts at a wall that somethingeventually stuck and out of one out of
fifty thousand things, you you know, you're touting that. So I don't
think. I think people who doone, I think it lends a little
bit more credibility in the sense thathey, I did predict this thing or
whatever. It Maybe I'm wrong, maybe that's just my personal opinion of it,
but just my take on it.Five six six nine zeros A text

(19:22):
line. I will take your questionsas well, but for right now and
without too much further ado, let'slet's just jump right into it. I
think everybody, myself included, knowsthat Caleb Williams is going number one.

(19:44):
We've had that for quite some time. This is news to anyone the Chicago
Bears taking Caleb Williams at number one. Overall, literally no one has anything
else. They don't think any sportsbook. I don't think you can get
the odds less than you know, negative ten thousand at this point, meaning
you'd have to to bet ten thousanddollars to return one hundred dollars in profit.
Pick two. I have Jad andDaniels. I've had Jayden Daniels there

(20:07):
since before the combine. I thinkthe Washington commanders, I think, you
know, I think he's the bestfit. There's been some talk about Drake
May here or there, but II think it's Jayden Daniels based on some
conversations I've had. I don't thinkthat Washington. I don't think Washington has
decided yet. I just think there'sa lean there and I think that's that's

(20:30):
sort of the direction that they windup going number three with the New England
Patriots have gone back and forth withthis. I happen to know the Patriots
wanted to trade out of this spot. I don't know if they ultimately succeed
in doing that or not. Youknow, time will tell. But for
this the purposes of this mock draft, that's where that's I'm gonna give them

(20:53):
Drake May. That's that's where thisdraft really begins. As pick three,
I think at this point. SoI'm going to give the New England Atriots
Drake May it picked three in thisone, and I, like I said,
I think they wanted to trade out. I think they Elliott Wolf wanted
to, you know, maximize andhave a bunch of draft capital going forward.

(21:15):
But in the end, I justI think taking the quarterback and Robert
Kraft kind of putting that that thumbon the scale, I think that's where
that winds up. Number four ArizonaCardinals. I believe I had them trading
out previously, but in this particularcase, I'm gonna have to stay put
and take Marvin Harrison Junior. Ithink they've had their eye on him for
quite some time. I think they'dlike to make that happen. I think

(21:37):
there are several ways that you canmake that happen, but I don't think
they need to trade out in theend. They've done it before Austin Fort,
you know, moving up, movingback, and play the value game
and all that kind of stuff. But I think you can just get your
guy in this case and not riskit and go from there. At number
five, this is where I penciledin the first trade, and I had
the Vikings coming up and selecting JJMcCarthy. Then it'll be the fourth quarterback

(22:03):
obviously at five picks. I thinkI think he's kind of the apple of
their eye. I do believe thatthey believe that they have competition from potentially
the Raiders and Broncos. But Ithink in the end, the team with
the most capital, which is MinnesotaUH gets gets the w There pick six,

(22:26):
I have maliite neighbors to the NewYork Giants wide receiver out of LSU.
I think the coaching staff will behappy there. I think they they
very much want the receiver. Ithink that the Giants would take a quarterback
if one fell, but I don'tthink that there's gonna be one there at
six. And I think in theend, I think I think neighbors.

(22:48):
I think he's I think he herivals. Depending on what you're looking for.
He could be wide receiver one. He's wide receiver one for several teams.
So you know, having having himthere for the Giants, which is
is a big time need. Ithink gives them a uh, a chance
to to to kind of flesh outat offense. The one that's gonna be
a reeling because it's it doesn't haveSaquon Barkley anymore. I picked seven.
We see our first offensive lineman gooff the board. I went ahead and

(23:11):
selected Joe alt out of Notre Dame, the offensive tackle. I think,
you know, with what you knowBrian Callahan is looking for, it doesn't
it might not necessarily be Alt here, but you know they value size out
of their offensive line, and he, uh, he is a guy who

(23:37):
certainly certainly has the size. Idon't know he's necessarily their guy. I
don't think he's the Chargers guy.But what we'll see, I don't think
he falls too much farther than seven. If he does fall, and uh,
it'll be interesting to see that. That's one of those draft day kind
of question marks, like does themedia hype matchup with the league thing,
because I've heard some rumblings a coupleof different ways, but I put Alt
at seven. Uh number eight,we got the Atlanta Falcons. I went

(24:02):
ahead and put the edge rusher DallasTurner here. One of the things about
Rahee Marris's defensive scheme is that hedrops those edge rushers back into you know,
into zones quite a bit instead ofrushing the instead of rushing the passer,
he'll he'll have drop back. DallasTurner had the most drop backs of
any of these premier edge rushers byfar. They're at Alabama sort of familiar

(24:23):
with the concept of what it isthat he would be doing. Still,
you know, had ten sacks lastyear and all that, but he does
drop back into coverage as well. And this is is one of those ones
I think that you can pare. You can pretty much pair up as the
Falcons and Dallas Turner there. Numbernine. The Bears, I think that
they're going to explore trading back.I think they're going to explore that a

(24:48):
little bit. But I think atthe end of the day, I think
they settled on the receiver. Theygo ahead and grab Rome with Dunzey out
of Washington. That gives him anice little triover to DJ Moore, Dounza
and and Keenan Allen who they tradedfor right Allen, I think is a
short term rental. I think whatthey want is a veteran wide receiver in
that room to sort of show thoseguys the ropes and you know what what
that mentality is about. And thenyou know, then they move on from

(25:10):
him. It'd be more in thedunes and they'll go out and get uh,
you know, get another receiver atthat point. But I believe that
that that's the direction that that that'llthat you know, go, and that
they want to surround Kayleb Williams withthe maxim amount of talent that they can
they can possibly do number ten.And this this will hurt some Broncos fans.
I have brock Bowers going to NewYork Jets. I know they've put

(25:33):
in a lot of work on that. There's some people that still think they'll
go with the offensive line, butI I I think it's brock Bowers there.
I think they'll they'll they've moved onfrom let's put the band back together
with Aaron Rodgers and and so Ithink They're just gonna try to surround him
with the max amount of talent theycan and and kind of go from there.

(25:53):
At number eleven, now remember thiswas a trade back. The Vikings
had traded up with the Chargers,So the Chargers trade back, I think
to take the offensive tackle out ofAlabama, J C. Latham. I
know that Jim Harball wants to builda bully. He wants to protect the
quarterback with the ground game, protectthe quarterback with the offensive line, and

(26:14):
I think that's that's the idea there. I know they need some some help
at receiver, and I suspect thatyou're going to see a lot of Michigan
players get drafted the Chargers, includingRome Roman Wilson. But there's this is
a deep draft for receivers, andI think if you're the Chargers, you
traded back, you can get theyou can get a premier offensive tackle there
and then turn around and get areceiver or two that that are in those
upper tiers a little bit later.So I feel like that there's there's a

(26:37):
possibility that that the JC Latham isthe pick there, rather than for instance,
Brian Thomas or one of the receiversthat would be available at that point,
which brings us to to to picktwelve. I still think if this
falls the way that it does, you really just have a couple options here.
I think if you're the Denver Broncos, I think your options are allowed

(27:00):
to lot to the edge rusher outof UCLA, or Quinnon Mitchell the corner
out of Toledo, maybe Terry andArnold the corner out of Alabama. But
I really do feel like that thatyour options here or trade back are kind
of one of those guys. Iknow what mel Kuiper did a mock draft

(27:21):
the other day. I think heput Quinyan Mitchell in there to the Broncos.
I'm not opposed to that. Iwould project a trade back at this
point, specifically with any team lookingto get up and get an offensive tackle,
because at this point in time, you do have Fuaga Fashanu sitting out
there the offensive tackles, and thenthere's a big drop off after them,

(27:44):
before you get to the Tyler Geitensand the Grant Bartons and the Mems all
that kind of stuff. There arequestions, you know, with some of
that stuff. So I don't Ifeel like if this breaks this way that
at twelve, you would see theBroncos trade back rather than necessarily drafting in
that slot. It just I guessit just sort of depends on the package

(28:04):
and who's willing to come up.One of the things that we do know
is that the La Rams, whopick at nineteen, are making their first
first round selections in side believe itis like twenty sixteen. It's been a
while, and they are a teamthat has been inquiring about moving up in
the draft. So you could seea situation where the Broncos move back from

(28:26):
twelve to nineteen and maybe move backyet again, but certainly a situation where
they could move backwards fairly easily andpick up some additional capital in a draft
that many are saying is only aboutone hundred and twenty players deep. After
that, it's just it's kind ofguys that are left over, you know,

(28:47):
the COVID thing. And it's interestinghow that the COVID year and all
that kind of stuff kind of createdthese gluts of talent and then these weaker
back part these guys that you know, stayed around in college football because then
i OL money or whatever else thatthe COVID year, they just aroun because
they knew they weren't gonna be draftedhighly legal. Now they're forced to come
out, and so it creates, you know, a strong top one hundred

(29:07):
and twenty and then a week youknow, back half of the draft.
So people who used to use thatkind of book bookend philosophy, George Peyton
used to do that when they wereup in Minnesota, where they kind of
grabbed a bunch of picks at thetop and a bunch of picks at the
back end and kind of hollowed outthe middle. I don't know that that's
necessarily a strategy that's viable, uhin these in these drafts right now,
until that sort of smooths out inanother year or two, this may be

(29:30):
one of those ones where you wantto kind of gather picks in the middle.
I have to see, I'm gonnaI'm going to project a trade back.
I'm going to say the Broncos movewith the with the Rams. Here
the Rams come up, and Imust say they grab lots uh the edge
rusher U c LA. I meanobviously they' they've seen him up close and

(29:51):
personal and they do need some edgerush help. They the rams have been
sniffing around quarterbacks too. Interestingly,Now, I don't think that you're going
to see Bo Nick, Sir MichaelPennox in the first round. I still
don't believe that we'll see. Butyou know, I think that at the
end of the day, I thinkif Los Angeles is moving out, but

(30:14):
I don't believe it's for a quarterbackat this point. I believe it would
be for an edge rusher, likeI said, maybe a tackle, maybe
a corner. But we'll put Latsuin there for them. Which brings us
to the Raiders, who, youknow, I think they could go a
number of different directions. You've gotboth offensive tackles sitting out there in in
Fuaga Feshano. You've got Mims sittingout there, so three tackle, three
offensive tackles. You've got the guardthere in Faltano from from Washington. You've

(30:41):
got your choice of corners between Cooperde Jean and Terry and Arnold and Queen
Mitchell. The Raiders could go anynumber of directions there. And I know
people have suggested that that they mightdo the Michael PENNOCKX thing, but I
I just I don't believe it.I don't We'll see, you know,
maybe I'm wrong. Maybe maybe Penixdoes wind up in the first round.

(31:02):
Maybe he does wind up in thefirst half of the first round, But
at this point in time, Idon't believe that. Personally. We'll see,
you know, I think Bo Nick'sMichael Penix will be there in the
second round. Those guys might evenbe there in the third round. I
just I don't believe that the Feesare going to be first round picks.
So for the Raiders, I wouldprobably suggest that they would take an offensive

(31:23):
tackle there, especially if they wereplanning on going to the quarterback round a
little bit later. I could,I could very much see that. I
think they want to continue to build, you know, build an offensive line
and go from there. Wouldn't besurprised if they went corner. Would not
be surprised at all if they wentcorner. But uh, the offensive tackled

(31:45):
feels like it. So whichever onewe wanted to give them this case,
Wagar Forshanhu, I'll go ahead andpencil for shan who in this particular case.
But you know, whatever this,I think the Saints go the other
one. I think the Saints willtake an offensive tackle and so that then
if the Raiders take for Shano. That leaves you with Puaga and you kind
of go from there. The Coltsare an interesting one at fifteen because a

(32:07):
lot of people think they're on thecorner with either Queny and Mitchell or Terry
and Arnold, and I wouldn't besurprised to see that. But I think
they might be on a trade back. I think they might be on wide
receivers. You could see this wouldbe the part where you could see a

(32:27):
Brian Thomas the other receiver out ofLSU. You could see a buffalo move
up for Brian Thomas, and thenI wouldn't be surprised if they went the
corner route either. I mean, they do kind of need a corner,
so Terry and Arnold or Quinn andMitchell there would wouldn't shock or surprise me.
I just you know, when weget to this and we're at pick

(32:50):
fifteen and pick sixteen in the firstround, we get to these picks,
I mean you can start to kindof see different directions, and a lot
of these are codependent on what happensin front of them. So if this
breaks the way that we've projected atthis point, I wouldn't be surprised see
Buffalo try to move up to getBrian Thomas. But I'll pencil in the
corner here and say that, youknow, maybe the Colts go after Arnold

(33:10):
or Quinnon Mitchell and that leaves theSeahawks at sixteen, and I think that
for me, you know, theystill need help on the offensive line.
I wouldn't be surprised if you sawGraham Barton here, who I think can
played you know, any of thosepositions. I wouldn't be surprised to see

(33:34):
foul Tannhu out of Washington. Obviouslythere's a familiarity with Ryan Grubb there.
O c was the offensive coordinator atUW. If Seattle gets to this point,
if we get to sixteen and MichaelPennix has not been selected, to
me, that sort of tells yousomething because if the Seattle Seahawks and their
offensive coordinator and all they've got isyou know, Geno Smith and Sam Hallet
there, if they get to thatpoint and they don't select Michael PENNOCKX,

(33:59):
that tells me everything I need toknow about Michael Pennix, that their offensive
coordator doesn't believe he's the guy.If they're going out there and getting a
guard for Gino and Sam Howe. That tells me everything I need to know
at that point about you know,Michael Pennix and what they think about him
as a pro. So there's yourthere's your first half. If I had

(34:20):
if I had to Peggott, Iwould say the Broncos trade back twice in
this scenario, once to nineteen andthen move back once again. Maybe they
get bo Nix with that pick.I don't think they do. I think
they continue to maximize, maximize picksand look for falling talent, maybe a
corner in there. We'll see.I'd like to get one more of these
in, so we'll try to doone more next week. Yes, is

(34:42):
the Broncos Country tonight, Kawaya.I'm ninety four NFL News Talk Sports.
