(00:00):
Welcome back to It, Broncos CountryTonight, Benjamin O. Albrighten, Nick
Ferguson, Grant Smith here with you. I think we're all actually probably pulling
for Aniana here for those I thinkmost people know the show good. No.
I grew up a Regie Miller fan, not necessarily a Pacer. I
grew up a Regie Miller fan anyway. But it's the calls here at the
end of the Knicks Pacers game,it felt like a little bit of slant

(00:22):
towards some home cooking. There,a slanting to be nice here. Yes,
I mean, listen, this isfrustrating. And look, I'm not
a Knicks fan. Let me befirst and foremost and put that out.
Yeah you're a hater. I'm nota hater, but I like to see
basketball call the right way. Andthere's been a lot of questionable calls.
Yeah, that's all I'm saying. The last minute, two minutes, whatever

(00:46):
it was, there were you know, we both were looking at each other
like four or five times. Someof the calls that did it up going
on. One other thing was alittle bit questionable. Recently, was Dionne
Sanders kind of punching down on socialmedia? After a squabble sparked by former
buff who transferred to Austin, payPrime did a an interview with Brett Schrutenboor

(01:15):
of USA Today, and he said, uh, and here's the quote.
He said, I gotta do betteron that and not ride with it.
And he should have ended the quotethere, but he didn't. That should
have been a period. I gottado better on that and not ride with
it. That should have been wherecoach Prime ended the quote instead of a
period. Though we got a commaand comes a butt. But but I

(01:42):
was bored. I was bored,and I didn't say nothing hurtful. I
don't attack people, except that hesort of did attack people, even though
he claims he didn't. The Coloradoplayer sparked a kind of a back and
forth. Were guarding statistics and someoneposted the uh, the pedestrian numbers regarding

(02:04):
who took the side of the playerthat criticized Sanders and he were posted with
the large Jesus and all you know. But I was bored. I was
bored. Doesn't seem like that shouldbe the quote, and certainly not as
a head coach, you're a positionleadership. I was bored, so I
went popping back off at somebody whocame at me. Is not I get
away with that, And really Idon't, but I get away with that.

(02:25):
I'm not a head of football coach. I'm a dork with a radio
microphone. As you know. Somebodypops off at me on Twitter and make
a mom joke and we call hereven, right, I don't think it
is ahead football coach. That's that'swhere you need to be. Certainly,
you need to be setting a differentkind of example. You gotta hold yourself
to a higher standard. Deon Sandersand I should not have the same standard
when it comes to replying to peopleon Twitter. No, Ben, you

(02:46):
guys should We should not listen.I've seen some of your back and forwards
on social media, and yeah, you guys should not be in the same
conversation. But what I'm hearing isI'm call it justifications because there are a
lot of things that are said tous on social media which is not said

(03:07):
to our face. Right, thatkind of posts the bear what gets you
wanting to respond, but we allknow that we shouldn't. And with Coach
Prime being respected the way that heis, I think in his hard at
her as he knows that he shouldn'trespond to the way that he did.

(03:28):
For those that don't know, therewas an article in The Athletic in which
former Coloril sainty J Jyxavier Smith saidto The Athletic regarding get his decision to
transfer, that Sanders had never eventried to get to know me. That
coach Prime was destroying guy's confidence andbelief in themselves. Sidor Sanders read that
went on to post on Twitter thathe had to be very mid at best

(03:49):
that he didn't remember him, whichI you know, I thought was taking
the low road. Didn't really needto do that, and that prompted the
floodgates to open. Colorado receiver CalebMathis posted a video of himself beating Smith
and practice Smith's new teammate, Austinp. Jaheim war pointing out that Mathis
only had thirty eight receiving yards lastyear, and then Dion reposting Ward's career
stats with the observation law of Jesus, and it just, I mean,

(04:12):
it feels like that this was goingdown in the rabbit hole on something that
that they didn't need. I mean, look, you know you don't need
to you know, you don't.You don't need to for whatever complaints that
we have. And last year's recordwasn't good enough. Prime knows that it's
not up to his standard. No, you can't, you can't. You
can't punch down on people are transferredout of the program for not being good
enough after you already said you werebringing Louis and you're gonna be putting the

(04:33):
people that weren't good enough. Allright, So if the players won to
clap back at one another, I'llsay I understand it, because that's the
way that today's culture is. Butas a coach, you don't feed into
that. Even if you are thinkingthat maybe the player maybe out of pocket

(04:55):
for saying what he's saying, don'tadd to it a lot of the players
are just him themselves. Well, once again, I just feel as though
this is one of those things that'sa dead story or should be a dead
story, because it's a player whowas once there. So someone was fishing
for a story to go to thekid and ask them, Hey, not

(05:16):
just what was your time like beforePrime? What's your time like while Prime
is there? And obviously, witha team being one and eleven coach Prime
coming in, you have to makesome changes. And one thing I do
know about college sports as a whole, These types of things happen all the
time in collegiate sports, but weonly hear more about it because there is

(05:39):
a large social media presence from coachPrime and the son putting out the content,
and there are are eyes on theColorado program because of the way that
Dianna is doing things exactly and youknow how it is because you yourself have
been attacked in social media. Peoplemake up their minds and then they just
look for stuff to reinforce them. And we sort of see that with like

(06:00):
the athletic article, because any inany case, the reaction from a guy
who was highly recruited to a Pfive school and then having all the hubbub
that came with Prime coming to Coloradoand him getting moved out and then transferred
to Austin P Yeah, there's gonnabe hard feelings. There's always hard feelings,
Like tell me this, you aregriam. Have you ever been in

(06:25):
a relationship that didn't go well andthen someone felt like that that they were
left holding the bag a little disappointedthat something they didn't get what they want
out of the situation. I amprobably the worst person to speak on this.
I think everyone I think everyone knows. Yes, so so everyone has

(06:46):
been on the down side of aheartbreak or a breakup. And yeah,
you wish that you can go tosocial media and say all those things that
you want to say about the personbut you didn't say because you were involved
with them, But now you wouldonly say them because you're angry. Those
things happen. No one walks awayfrom a relationship walking away like you know
what, Yeah I did that,it was cool. No, they don't.

(07:09):
I mean, there have been relationshipsthat have ended that I've had that
have ended that you know, we'reamicable. Uh, and I'm friendly with
the people you know later on.But everybody's got one like that. What's
what's the what's the song lyric? The heartbreak? It don't break even?
You know, I mean in acheesy pop line, but it's true.
Heartbreak doesn't break even. No,it doesn't. I'm just saying, And

(07:30):
it's it's sort of the thing.I mean. At the end of the
day, I think with with thisprogram and the way it is being scrutinized
right now, whether you think it'sfair or unfair, whatever you think of
that. I don't think you canlean in. I think you're I think
as Colorado, you got to bethe you got to be. You have
to at least appear to be betterthan it. You have to appear to

(07:54):
be better than getting down in themud, because like Mama always said,
don't wrestle a pig. Everybody getsdirty as the pig likes you. Also,
you got to remember this too ifyou're going to attag Coach Prime and
the program and his sons right now, they have created a larger platform for
themselves, giving them a much largersay so in this particular debate. You

(08:16):
know what it's like is like someone'strying to argue with one of us and
we have a mic in front ofour face. Yeah, I can hang
up on your call, and Igot another half I got a half hour
of the fille. I can donothing to bash you up and down.
You're not going to win. Imean, you can go to social media
and use your one hundred and fortycharacters sort of an equalizer, except that

(08:37):
I got two hundred thousand followers, and again you're not gonna win. So
once again, this is something thatthey should just let let it go because
it's not benefiting anyone, just anongoing saga off he said, he said,
And it's only make muddying the waterfor college sports. And foresee you
as a whole. If you're ashudor or you're deone Sanders, did any

(08:58):
of what you say elevate your positionor the program's position? And my answer
to that is no. And ifthe answer to that is no, if
it doesn't elevate your position in someway, what are you doing? But
you know how this work's been,It's like once again, and I'm gonna
speak directly to you because you've beenin this situation. Yeah, anybody who

(09:20):
list the yes but losing on socialmedia, let me tell let me give
you a masterclass. Because sometimes, man, when you hear someone come after
you and you see it or someonesends it to you, it is hard
to not allow those Twitter fingers toget to move. And because you want
to clap back, you want tostand up for yourself because you feel as
though if I don't, this personhas said something that's attacking my character as

(09:45):
character assassination, and if I don'tspeak up, then everyone's gonna be wondering
why did you not say anything iswhat they're saying true. And if you
do say something, it's like, well, the other side is like,
why do you even have to goin on this particular person. That person
is not meaningful in your life. Here's the game that you close Twitter and
those people don't exist. They don'texist anymore. They're not in your world,

(10:09):
They're not in the real world. Is that what you're gonna tell yourself
from now? It's what I haveHonestly, that's what I had to do,
That's what that's what I had todo to put it down. Yeah,
because I don't want to say thatI had a social media addiction,
but kind of. My name isBenjamin Albright and I'm addicted to social media.
Well, I mean it was partof that thing, Like I built

(10:31):
that account retail. I didn't youknow it would have ka wait, none
of this that didn't build me.I built it and brought that with it.
It's part of the reason I gotthis job to begin with. But
there's there is an inherent there's abuilt in narcissism. Are doing this job
in the first place because you haveto you have to believe that everybody wants
your opinion, right, Well,I want to sit here for the moment.
You gotta believe that, right,So there's an there's a built in
narcissistic part of that, and socialmedia amplifies that because you get you get

(10:56):
judged based on interactions and likes andre tweets, and you can see the
numbers, like you get paid forit now, which, by the way,
I signed up for the monetization.Yeah, so that when I get
the checks or whatever, we candonate the money that are you know,
I'm gonna get this just cancer getcancel the finger thing up off the ground.
So that's what I'm saving the moneyfor. Okay, okay, more

(11:16):
of an incentive for you to clapback. Did you just give yourself in
the sense of the clapbat I did. I gave him, decided to give
them the finger. You see howthis? Kids, see how that works.
But at the end of the day, like, yeah, I did.
And so that's the thing, likeDion, They've got to be they
gotta be more conscientious of their positionin this because if you, if you

(11:37):
know, if you it's like aboxer agreeing to a fight with with some
some club guy who's got two fightsunder his belt that run in his mouth.
You got nothing to do with loosbecause if you knocked the guy out,
everybody expects it. But if hegets you, yeah, So that
goes back to something that Bill Parcellswould tell us about dealing with the New

(11:58):
York media. And I think weboth would agree that the New York media
is entirely different from any other mediamarket and their cutthroat so's the fan base.
So Parcells wasn't a huge fan ofthe media to begin with, right,
He only spoke to him because hehad to speak to him. If
he had the choice, he wouldn't. So he would tell us, don't

(12:20):
feed into any narratives. Obviously weknow the whole cliche about bulletin board material,
but you don't give a beat writerwho already has a desire bringing you
down individually or collectively. You don'tgive him no m O either him or
hurt. So the best part isnot saying anything at all. So what

(12:41):
story are they gonna write someone? Some story that they made up? Let
them make up the damn story. And that's the thing. Like, in
going through some of the stuff thatI went through, some of the best
advice I got is, you know, I'm sitting there because I was sitting
there saying, look, they're holdinga gun up to me. Why wouldn't
I respond? And the person thatI was talking to and talking to stuff
through is like, yeah, theyare. That gun doesn't have any ammunition

(13:01):
until you give it to him.So what does it matter. It might
look like there, they might sitthere, they might be sitting there holding
the gun up to you, butthey got no bullets. What are they
gonna do? Don't give them thebullets. And so that was, you
know, in working through a lotof the stuff that I had to work
through with that at the end ofthe day with social media, that was
one of the best advice I evergot. And so now I'm trying to
pass it along. Hey, primHey do it. Don't give them the

(13:22):
bullets. Man, it's just empty. It's all for show. It's it's
social media. They're they're holding thegun up, they got no bullets.
Let it go. Yeah, don'tdon't give them any AMO. And for
me, the voice in the backof my head has always been, you
know, my wife, because there'sbeen moments on social media where like,
if you if you're in this business, people are going to say things about

(13:46):
you because they don't like your perspective, they don't like your stance, and
it's the idea, if you don'tagree with me, then you are against
me. Man. I'm a firmbeliever that we don't have to agree on
everything right, and we can't agreethat we have a difference of opinion.
And my whole thing is just beable to add a little substance of context
to what you say. See youand not on the same page with that.
Not everybody is, No, noteveryone is, because it's all about

(14:09):
you know, hot takes and clickbait, and if you're not saying what the
majority of people are saying, thenthat makes you wrong. That makes your
particular stance not one with the group. So now therefore you open to attack.
And I can tell you, man, sometimes you read it and you're
like, you know what I got, I gotta say something. If I

(14:31):
don't, it's gonna make it difficult. Because there are a lot of times
where things have happened or have beensaid on social media that my former teammates
would see and obviously they have myphone numbers, said they would text me
or call me like, dog, you're gonna let that slot and you and
I came up, go let thatslot. You and I both came up
in a certain way like where youcan't let the street. You can let

(14:54):
that happen. You will let thatbark out the street, but quitter eate
the streets. Man, it isit's make believe and you got it.
You got to find a way toseparate that because that person's not gonna say
that to your face. They're nevergonna say that to your face. The
people that say that the horrific stuffabout it, not a damn one of
them ever gonna come say it tomy face. And then and you know
why, right, But that's that'sthe justification of social media. So you

(15:16):
got to separate those two. Theygot to be two separate worlds. Social
media is to make believe online videogame. It's not real. And so
Dion and Shador have got to learn, hey, you know this, this
is an elevating us to if itdoesn't elevate us to respond, let them
play in the dirt. And alsounderstanding that they're trying to elevate themselves by

(15:37):
getting a piece of view because theysay what they're doing. I pulled you
into this argument, this debate, and now I got I got the same
thing. This, this, thiswhole like the whole social media thing started
with a with a producer who wastrying to get attention for his podcast,
and then it was this other guyand his wife trying to get attention for
their failed podcast. This guy, this failed comedian, trying to get attention
for his failed comedy career. Likeat the end of the day, you

(15:58):
know, at the end of theday, it's people trying to get a
piece of something off of you.We got an NFL six pack and we
come back. Welcome back to it, Broncos Country Tonight, Benjamin Albrighten,
Nick Ferguson, Grant Smith here withyou, five six, six nine year
olds. Text line Bill says,I'll say it to Nick's face. Alien
Ant Farm's version is better than MichaelJackson's. He didn say it to my

(16:18):
face. He said it over atext. He said he will say it
to your face though, like he'ssaying you over text, but he's also
saying you will say it to yourface, And I would tell him it's
still the same. No, it'snot. So that's settled. You're your
minions showing me on Twitter about thisdebate. Look, I don't want this

(16:41):
to be any more of a thrillerthan it already is. I think we
are getting away with robbery here likesome smooth criminals. Yeah. That was
bad, and I think you needto take a look at the man in
the mirror. Yeah, and realizethat MJ's version is better. Stop pressuring
me. It's time for the NFLsixth pass. I'm gonna take a lot

(17:03):
of beer. Nine insight and insideinformation you can't find anywhere else. No.
Six the top six NFL headline. What Well, it's funny you should
mention that because the Seahawks worked outa new deal with cornerback Michael Jackson.
That's right. The Seahawks ten andrestricted freegate Michael Jackson served as a placeholder
till sides could work out a newdeal. They did that. Cordy Brady

(17:25):
Henderson of ESPN. Corner would havemade three point one million on the tender,
will now make the league midimum basesalary of one point zero with one
hundred and sixty seven thousand, fivehundred dollars signing bonus, drops his cap
number from three point one to onepoint two two three, creating about one
point eight nine million in space.Dallas Cowboys originally made Jackson e fifth round
pick at twenty nineteen, spent timewith the Lions and Patriots. Play thirty

(17:47):
six games on the Seahawks, twentyone starts, one hundred eleven tackles,
one pick, nineteen passes defense ina core special teams player last season,
playing fifty one percent of the specialteam snaps over seventeen games. What do
you think about Seattle signing the smoothcriminal? Well bos well for them,
because I know they're just trying toget better on that defensive side of the

(18:07):
ball, and you know what, you really don't know how these things are
going to work out, so youwant to add as much depth as you
can, because like you said,I mean, the idea is you want
to be somewhat of a smooth criminaland understanding their head coach is a defensive
mind to God, and you're tryingto duplicate the Seattle defense of oh,
so you can only do that byhaving the necessary personnel. So I think

(18:30):
it made bowl well for both groups. Two Las Vegas Raiders agreed to terms
the free agent offensive lineman Andres Pete. Ian Rappaport reported to Pete took a
pay cut to return of the Saintslast season, but he lost his left
guard job to James Hurst, endedup playing left tackle instead. Played sixteen
games twelve starts in twent twenty three. Pete thirty, played all nine seasons

(18:52):
in New Orleans since the Saints madehim a first round pick back in twenty
fifteen. He started one hundred andtwo career games. The Raiders have Colton
Miller left tack and Dylan parm hadleft guard. What do you think about
andres Pete not going to Denver goingto Las Vegas instead. Well, the
first thing I would say is don'tworry plus se him. Listen. That's

(19:14):
the way that you have to lookat it. I know coaches have certain
systems, whether defensively or offensively, and you go out and you try to
acquieret those guys because you know you'requite familiar with your system. But when
they choose to go other places, you keep that in the back of your
mind when you play them. Andthen we give you a players just got
them report. You give them allthe details as far as the weaknesses of

(19:34):
this particular player, and don't besurprised if there are certain blitzes. If
Pete is in the game right overhim to take advantage of those weaknesses.
There you go. I yeah,I was surprised you didn't come out here
to Saints West. But he goesto the West Division arrivals and the Raiders
get a chance to see him.I guess we're kind of set a guard
between Ben Powers and Quinn Minors, and you know, didn't really we already?

(19:56):
You could always use more death, yeah, I suppose, yes,
would it get confusing having Pete Nperk? That would have been awesome to have
that. Oh, that'd have beenawesome. Free Raven's running back Derrick Henry
had interested at least hearing from theCowboys and free agency, but the Dallas
Cowboys never called. Peering with AdamShine on the serious XM Mad Dog Radio,

(20:19):
Cowboys Exact, VP Stephen Jones addressedthe failure to make a phone call.
Well, first of all, nothingbut respect for Derek Henry, he
said, I mean, he's oneof the top backs in the league.
He's had one of the great careersin this league. Wish him nothing but
best with the Ravens. I'm surea great place for him. Our situation
is just, you know, noone ever wants to say it, but
it's salary cap. We just didn'thave the money to allocate to the position
in terms of where we were froma cap standpoint, knowing what we're looking

(20:41):
at with Dak Prescott and Michaeh Parsonsand Ceedee Lamb, we just didn't have
those types of resources to allocate thatposition, or we probably would have already
had it filled with Tony Pollard. We hated to lose Tony Pollard. We
had to lose Zeke the year before. From a cap standpoint, you know,
we just didn't have the dollars toallocate to the running back position.
If they had reached a deal withthe to extend the contracts to Prescott or
Lamb, their cap numbers are fiftyfive and seventeen point nine million, respectively,

(21:04):
would have dropped, creating room forother positions. So seems go cap
space gets created or gets kicked downthe road. The problem is the Cowboys
didn't strike a deal with anybody, and it won't get any cheaper to wait,
unless, of course, they'll beletting Prescott leave via free agency.
As to Lamb, delay will drivethe price up even more as receivers do
new deals. The Cowboys need tostop the bleeding, and they have a
habit of waiting too long, likethey did with Dak Prescott. It's kept

(21:26):
up pursuing better options the offensive backfield. In twenty twenty four, they wanted
to keep Pollard. That's what theshould have done, and they ultimately brought
a Zekiel Elliott back. The DallasCowboys look like a team that's blown it
up after this year at the ratesthey're going unless they just have massive successful
what they've got because the massive numbersowed to guys like Lamb and Dak and

(21:47):
having to pay Michael Parsons, who'sgoing to be the odd man out here?
Because Dallas looks like a team isnot going to be able to be
able to pay everybody. Well theodd man out in this equation with Dee
Mike McCarthy, Well, it doesn'taffect the salary, can Yeah, you
know is true? I players standpoint, Well, I mean this really puts

(22:07):
a huge hamstring all McCarthy and DakPrescott in somewhat of a contract year for
both of those guys and for me. You wanted to fingerpoint, don't point
at McCarthy or cde Lamb or evenDak Prescott lived no further than ownership itself,
because Jerry Jones created this issue. You could have kept Ezekiel Elliott and

(22:30):
gotten and kept Tony Pollard, whichyou got rid of anyway. He's now
a member of the Tennessee Titans. But this now puts you in a tight
situation. And every team would gothrough this at some point when you had
when you draft players and those playerscome of age and that production now starts
to elevate, you're going to haveto make tough decisions which guy you are
going to pay. But what we'veseen in today's NFL, the quarterback is

(22:53):
the guy that gets his money first. Everyone else gets whatever's remaining. I'm
not one hundred percent that das getpaid. I mean, I just want
to. I think you pay CDI think you pay Parsons. I think
you cut the quarterback. And yetyou were saying, who's going to damn
ball? She did whatever pour theJets that outs a handful of roster moves

(23:14):
on Monday. Three of them includedquarterbacks. The team signed Andrew Peasley and
Colby Suits after they tried out forthe team during rookie mini camp. They
also signed dB returner Brandon Coddrington theywaved quarterback pee Wee Jarrett, linebacker Trey
Jenkins, and defensive tackled May Jones. The reason we have this story is
Peasley who started twenty four games forWyoming over the last two seasons, through
for thirty five hundred yards, thirtytouchdowns, fourteen picks, suits through for

(23:36):
nineteen hundred yard, thirteen touchdowns, eleven interceptions. Instead, it starts for
Houston Christian. Obviously, the Jetsdrafted Jordan Travis in the draft to go
along with Aaron Rodgers and Toront Taylor. They have five quarterbacks on the roster.
Any chance that Andrew Peasley from Wyomingcould maybe stick with the practice squad
with the New York Jets the songpossibility because depth is really important, and

(23:57):
not just for backing up Rogers, but for your scout team as well.
You need someone to prepare your scoutteam. That's not to say that you
know Tyrod can can't do that, but the more guys you have, the
better it is. And sometimes andyou know this band, teams have brought

(24:17):
guys in maybe for that week justto play scout team if they're coming from
another team. But it always helpswhen you run you have these rookie mini
camps and you get a guy thatshines that you can now put them on
your roster to build that confidence. So for me, I'm proud of guys
who find a way to get themselveson a roster so they can gain more

(24:37):
experience because you never know what happens, because you can be the next Nick
Ferguson, might happen to me,might be the next Sick First five Louis
Reese Zamini's transitions transition from rugby tofootball took a step forward to Chiefs rookie
Minnie camp over the weekend. Rezammetsigned with the team earlier this year,
buying for a role as a runningback and returner in his first year in
the sport. On Monday, hesaid mini camp work was good because he

(25:02):
learns by getting reps that help himmove from a very free flowing sport to
one that requires him to study aplaybook. While that's been his main focus,
there was a screen pass that hewas able to turn into a solid
gain allow him to use some ofthe skills he honed in rugby. Say
quote, when there's an open field, I feel like I'm playing rugby again.
I can use my awareness when I'min space, and that's what I
could do the most damage. WhereZammit says he has eyes on a versatile

(25:22):
role with the Chiefs, but there'sgoing to be a lot of work for
him to do between now and Septemberfor that to come to fruition. I
know it's with the Chiefs, butare we rooting for a guy to make
the conversion from rugby the NFL football? Yeah, I'm going to say yeah,
even though for the Chiefs, becauseit's going to open up more NFL
teams to look outside the game thatthey know themselves in football to find the

(25:45):
adsets that can elevate their team.So for me, when I was a
kid growing up, I mean,I learned how to tackle, believe it
or not, by watching rugby, and I use a lot of those techniques
throughout my NFL career. Take myhead out of it, but that's the
reason why my should just keep meup at night, because I use them
more than my head. Is thatwhy you're standing up right now? No,

(26:06):
that's another reason why I'm staying up. I'm talking about my back six.
Buccaneers linebacker Levonte David was on thedance on Sunday Night for the Tom
Brady Roast for that he'd appeared toour Rich eisen Show shared a little nugget
about Brady's arrival in Tampa in twentytwenty. During David's exit interview with Formers
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians after thetwenty nineteen season, Arians told David that

(26:30):
Brady could be joining the team.Coach, I just remember in the exit
meeting talking to coach BA. Youknow you have one on one with the
head coach. I remember saying,if we don't get Jamis back, we
are going to get someone in herefor you to get us over the hump,
to get us to the super Bowl. And he literally said this,
and it might be the goat referringto Tom Brady. It's not necessarily evidence
of tampering, but it shows upBrady was on their radar screen. Did

(26:52):
they contact Tom pretty maturely? Itwas clear in twenty twenty that they had.
Frankly, Aaron's openly spoke about pursuingBrady the scouting combine that year,
and then after they sign him, then mobilized to sell them air and they
didn't talk to him at old beforethe official started the league year. I
think literally nobody believes multiple teams havetampered with Brady in recent years, in
part because Brady directly involved himself inthose communications. He tried to finagle a

(27:15):
path to the Dolphins while still undercontract with the Box, and the Dolphins
got whack for him. That alsoincluded bringing Sean Payton long to be his
head coach, exploring his options withother teams while still under contract with the
Patriots as well. That's the commonlink to all of this. It's not
a violation the rules for Brady tobe tampered with. He aided it,
a betted plenty of tampering from twentynineteen to twenty twenty two. Thus,
that story's not very surprising. Wasthere anything else you got out of the

(27:37):
roaster, any of that kind ofstuff other than the Levante David talking about
the Bucks having tampered with him,Well, the fact that I don't know
if it's through or not. ButBrady said, hey, listen, the
league paid twenty million dollars to investigatethe idea whether the balls were flat or
not. He said, Hell, they could have just gave me the twenty
million dollars and I would have toldhim that I need it. It was

(28:00):
funny because that was ambiguous enough. You're like, well, wait a minute,
he is he telling on himself rightnow? Or is this a joke.
That's the thing. We don't know, but it's enough for those individuals,
and being the Patriots sheet anyway,to think that, hey, yeah,
he did it. There is dadconvincing data out there to show that
having just a little bit less airin the football leads to less fumbling because

(28:22):
of the grip that you can haveon the football. The Patriots, by
the way, statistically outliers during thoseyears in terms of least amount of fumbles.
Very interesting. Now, the rulessays that you can't alter the ball
in any way. And this isalways my claim, Like if they're saying
that Tom with someone else took airout, the rules states that you can't

(28:42):
take the air put air in either. And it was known and Aaron Rodgers
said it himself. He likes tohave it a little firmer so he can
grip it. Aaron Rodgers likes itwith more air, Yeah, for the
grip and to be able to inspire. Tom Rady liked it with a little
less air. Isn't that a violationas long as it's within the as long

(29:03):
as its within the parameters. Itsays, what thirteen psi, as long
as it's within those press over beINIt did say, oh, there's a
range of parameters for range, there'sa range for psi. It has to
be in the acceptable range. So'snext time someone cheats, Like if a
guy gets caught cheating on his wife, he wasn't in the range, right,
the range is is here? Like, can you use that as a

(29:25):
way to kind of weezer your wayout of a situation? I mean,
well, sort, That's the problemhere is that the ball game balls.
By the NFL rules, it's ruletwelve point three. I think I have
to go back and look. Thegame balls must be inflated to pressure within
between twelve point five and thirteen pointfive. Now, each team has twelve
balls. Teams have the responsibility ofmaintaining the pressure. But the game balls

(29:45):
are inspected by the officials, right, so you like it has to be
between twelve and a half and thirteenand a half. Tom Brady's were underinflated.
They were below twelve and a half. Okay, we got that from
the and Paige report. But youcan't really inflate the ball more than it's
allotted, So you can't go overif you're not supposed to go over thirteen

(30:07):
point five or under twelve and ahalf. Brady went under. I mean,
you can inflate that, but theofficials are supposed to check over under.
Either way, you have to takea stand on where the rule is.
But we're still left to think didTom Brady actually know about the balls

(30:27):
being deflated and have something to dowith it. He has stated his preference
for under inflated footballs. I liketo think that Tom Brady would have gone
over with the equipment manager exactly thelevel that he likes all those things at
before every game, and I firmlybelieve that he had or would have had.

(30:48):
Now now you know, we cango into all the other stuff that
we went into, you know,Bill Belichick breaking out the pointer and put
you know, Bertuli's principle and giveit out. You know, a whole
bunch of different things on pressure orof football and all that kind of stuff.
At the end of the day,you know, I don't know if
the temperature added to it subtracted fromit. I you know it does you
know that like me live here inDenver. I know what I met was

(31:11):
is it like, did it appreciateappreciably? Do it accidentally? Was that?
What did it? Or was itdeliberate? The world may never know,
you know what. My finding thingon this when that whole conversation came
up and it was a debate,I said, you know what, the
first individuals who should have known shouldhave been the fishes, because they touched

(31:32):
those footballs on every single possession, like the quarterback in the center. But
they were they didn't say anything,so they should have known. So it's
all it's all water on the bridge. Brady has seven rings, he's the
goat, He's been roasted, andwe will never really know. That's the
thing. At the end of theday. Brady got dings, there were

(31:55):
suspensions, that were fines. Everythingelse that happened happened. We'll ever have
a satisfying conclusion unless someone comes alongand admits to it, because if it
didn't happen, then we won't,you know. So there's never going to
be anything. Is that The onlything that we do know for sure,
irrevocably as absolute actual fact. AndI'm trying to count this down so you
can't rebut anything says I was tryingto wind the clock down so that I

(32:19):
could hit the post on. Thisis that alien Adfarms version is better than
Michael Jackson's. You know what,Ben, they say that a broken clock
is right twice a day, SoI'm going to look at you and everyone
else saying that as the broken clock. Take that for whatever is worth.
I arrest my case. You've restedyour case. I rest my case all

(32:40):
right for now. See I gaveyou enough time to get the rebuttal in
there right. Well, No,I was going to kneel the clock out
on you. I was. Iwas going to deflate the football through pressure.
You didn't do You didn't give methe fool of Ryan ambits. I
did not. No, I didnot. I don't have it in me,
but thank you brocos country. Thatrole is that, Like mom always
