Welcome to it. Roncos Country Tonight, Benjamin Albright, GrITT smith Man,
the Myth, the mustache. Ohit's a Rockies hat. I was trying
to figureut what that hat was.It was camouflage, Camo Rockies, Camo
Rockies hat. Yeah, so peopledon't really know you're cheering for a bell.
I could barely even see you there. Ah, yeah, so the
Rockies logo, I see. Yeah, Okay, so they don't. You're

(00:20):
cheering. You're cheering for, butyou don't want people to know that you're
cheering for, right, got it? Closet Rockies fan, gotcha? Okay.
We got a lot of fun onthe show tonight. Vidie betedetto O
from the Denver because that's going tojoin us at six point thirty. Probably
talk a little bit about the NBAdraft, which is just tipping off as
it were right now. We'll keepyou up to date on that throughout the
show. Ryan Michael's going to joinus at seven five. Go inside the

(00:43):
numbers. That'll be a lot offun. NFL six pack a little later.
That's some concert tickets to give awayin this in this particular show,
I believe we have Diana Ross ticketsto give away. Yeah, and New
Kids on the Block tickets to giveaway New Kids on the Block. They
made a bunch of hits. Chidan'sfo makes me Happy. I wonder what

(01:03):
ever happened of those guys. TheEbercrobby had pitch song guys LFO Sure,
summer Girls. Yeah, that one. I think that's the only song I
know. But that song was terrible, by the way, Oh I love
that song. Oh, so manygreat memories of that song. No,
we played that song. We hadthis party house in high school. One
of our friend's parents that were justnever home, so we'd always hang out

(01:25):
and drink beer at their house, and uh, we would always play that
song and everyone there, fifty toone hundred people singing along. Wow.
Yeah. Do you even know whatLFO stands for? No? Light Funky
ones, Light funky ones? Okay, I would I don't know if i'd
described their music as funky? Yeah? That was maybe? Well, love

(01:47):
of that Yeah, they had Uh, I think it was four members total.
One of them died. I rememberthat one of them passed away a
couple of years ago. Was Iremember that being on Twitter or whatever it
was last year? Last year theywere on Twitter so yeah, it was.
It's just uh uh. They releaseda cover of New Kids on the
Block a step by step by theway, uh back in ninety seven.

(02:13):
It was before they uh I think, before they had any chart toppers or
whatever it was. And the onlychart topper I think they had was the
Summer Girl song. I don't thinkI remember anything else from him off the
top of my head, so Iwill not be going out of my way
to check out that cover. Okay, well, good for you. We
do have some New Kids on theBlock tickets we'll give away a little bit

(02:34):
later. So we also have DianaRoss tickets, so if you are a
fan of either of those, Ithink Dana Ross, I think that Ross
is at Red Rocks if I'm ifI'm not mistaken. And then the New
Kids on the Block is Friday atBall Arena. Yep. Okay, see
now, look look at that. It's like it's like I read the emails
our boss sends us or something everyonce in a while. Right parts of
it I don't read. Apparently, because I was in that email chain last
night, I was confused as well. I didn't see it. I went

(03:00):
to CD and at this part, you know, anyway, five, six,
six nine zeros text line. Youwant to get involved in the conversation.
It's gonna be uh interesting night ofbasketball heavy type stuff. That the
Atlanta Hawks are on the clock atnumber one overall that are expected to take
the kid out of France, ZacharyResissure with that top pick. We'll see
if that actually happens. There's somesome Colorado connections here, a couple of

(03:23):
players, two or three players expectto get drafted out of CEU as well
as Adulton connect who has a Coloradoconnection as well, probably a lottery pick.
So we'll keep our eyes peeled onthe NBA draft for you guys as
well. Reggie Jackson of the Nuggetspicked up his player option, so he

(03:43):
will be back with the Nuggets nextyear. That's one thing that has already
come out the Nuggets trying to figureout exactly how they go to do it.
Maybe I'll try to get a littlebit longer bench, you know,
for next year, But it startswith shoring up the guys that you have
that they competed. Yeah, andI think you know Reggie Jackson as a
solid set back up point guard.I think that's all he is. I
don't think he's ever going to bea starter. Big Al floated out,

(04:04):
maybe they try put him in thestarting lineup if they're gonna lose he and
move Murray to the two guard. But I think Reggie Jackson he's a he's
a score and when he's hot,he's great. When he's cold, you're
not getting much from him. Ithink you keep him on the bench.
Yeah, And that's the thing.I mean, you know, when Nick
and I were talking last year afterthe championship and what you know, what

(04:27):
was gonna need who's gonna need tostep up after Bruce Brown left? Reggie
Jackson was a name that I said, Hey, look we're gonna get we
to see a lot of minutes outof him. We're gonna need him to
be that guy because, uh,the guard coverage is a little bit thinner
when you had Brown who could playmultiple positions like that. I'm interested to
see what the Nuggets will do tonight. I mean, their their draft pick
is a little bit later, butI'm interested to see. Uh, there
is another Nicola from Serbia in thisIn this draft, Nicolotopitch expected to be

(04:51):
taken fairly. Oh he's good.He is good like him. He's good
and I think, you know,uh, one of the names floating around
for the Nuggets to take at twentyeight as a kid out of Dayton,
Darren Holmes the second. He isa good, versatile big man. I
think he could be a good additionif that's the way they end up going.

(05:11):
I think they need somebody behind Jokicthat can give you quality minutes.
And I think it's you know,it's okay to take sort of a developmental
guy because they're not going to geta ton of minutes, but it has
to be somebody that at least projectsto get on the court, you know,

(05:32):
for five minutes a night, andcan give Nikola yokicch a bit of
a breether. Yeah. I'm notsomeone who's completely wrapped up in all the
behind the scenes stuff of the Nuggets, but man, you would think it's
got to be the year that theygive Zeke Najy some real minutes off the
bench. I mean, maybe they'rejust not seeing what it takes out of
him in practice, but you signedhim to that extension last year. You

(05:56):
think you got to at least seewhat you got well, right, And
I think that's I think that's thingthat you need to kind of look at
this, you know, this comingyear. I think that developing some depth
back there because you know eventually youare going to have to to sort of
figure that out. If you're inthe window, you got to find someone
that can be on the court thatcan take minutes from Yokic and Gordon,

(06:17):
that can effectively rebound. Not necessarilybe another big that's that's out there on
the three point line, but theycan effectively rebound because when they when Gordon
goes out, and you know, unless it's a porter rebounding night, they're
struggling, They struggle for for thefor those rebounds, and so that that's
going to be something that they'll they'llneed to do as well. Five six
six nine zero text. I willtake your take your questions all night long

(06:43):
and again we'll have any better det'llcome up, Bob of the hour Programming
note. Tomorrow night, uh,starting at six, we will do our
debate coverage Presidential debate coverage CNN,and we'll have a preview of that from
six to seven. We'll be previewingthat debate right here. It'll be myself,

(07:03):
Many Connell Rosskaminski and then as thedebate goes live at seven, we
will jump on Facebook Live and sortof react to it with you all.
So I'm kind of excited to dothat, kind of spread my wings a
little bit, do something a littlebit different, and hopefully you guys we'll
have some fun and enjoy that andget on the KWA cast and we can

(07:25):
talk about it as as it's goingon. I'm excited to hear you with
Ross and Mandy because I know youdiffer a little bit and how you view
politics than both of them, SoI think it's going to make for some
interesting debate. Yeah, maybe we'lljust get trolled all night by people that
hate me. Who knows. Well, I'm sure that will happen as well.
And there's plenty of people that hateRoss and Mandy too, so we'll

(07:45):
be singled out. Come on,yeah, come come, hate on all
three of us. It'll be it'llbe a lot of fun. The consensus
mock drafts do believe that Zachary Risissureis going to go first to the Hawks.
The pick is in, although ithas not been announced yet. We'll
keep will keep you up to dataon that as well. There are some
some players that that I think thatin this draft could be something in this

(08:11):
league. Alexander Saar, who's thekind of the seven foot of the Ford
Center in Australia. You know,I think he can be an impact player
in the league. Castle Stefind Castle, six foot six guard. I think
he's somebody that Yukon. I thinkhe could be impactful. I think a
lot of people like Godov and KlingonI I don't know that I am the
biggest fan of him relative to where, you know, relative to where people

(08:35):
think he's gonna go. Yeah,I think that that's a pick that is
a lot about fit. He's notjust one of those guys that's going to
go to any team and be animpact player. A lot of people are
saying he could go to the Thunderand man, that may just be the
missing piece they need on that team. Well the Pistons too, I mean
they need everything, but he isa defensive anchor. Yeah, when you
win that little amount of games, they need everything. And the biggest it

(08:58):
is Zachary Risters. You're going toAtlanta Hawks there at number one overall out
of France, so that'll be uh, We'll be keeping an eye on on
that stuff all night as well. What should the Nuggets do in the draft?
Taking your suggestions on that as well. We do have those tickets I
mentioned to give away here just alittle bit, we'll give those away.

(09:20):
We have one pair of Diana Ross, one pair of New Kids on the
Block. Correct, Okay, we'llgive those away here. Shortly I'll come
up with a trivia question for theDiana Ross. New Kids on the Block
will just be a calder thing. So, uh, we'll get those figured
out. The Copa America. Idon't know if you guys been watching this
the soccer tournament you watched? Youwatch any immigrant? Oh? Yeah,
I watched the US game. Whatwas that Sunday? And they won two

(09:43):
nothing, should have won like fiveor six to nothing, but still gotta
win. Uh. Yeah, it'sDid you notice the stadium seem pretty empty?
Yes, especially for the non USgame. That's the and that's that's
really kind of the thing. Thisis like you look at these games and
you're seeing stadiums that look very empty. Now, the attendance figures right now

(10:07):
are down a little bit from theEuros. It's about fifty thousand, where
the euro average about fifty one thousand. I talked about this a little bit
yesterday on the podcast part of theappearance. These stadiums here in the United
States are much much larger, youknow, the whole between seventy and ninety
thousand people relatively speaking, whereas theeurostadiums are sold out at fifty thousand.

(10:31):
That said, pricing is the otherpart that is the difference here. It
is we use a dynamic pricing modelhere in the US, which is absolute
horse hockey anyway. I don't knowif you guys know about this, what
you know about dynamic pricing, butit's basically there's an AI embedded in the
system, and when you go tobuy tickets, it adjusts the price up
or down to try to maximize gettingthe maxim amount of money out of you.

(10:54):
Not trying to make the tickets cheaper, trying to make them the maximum
amount that they can they can possiblyget out of you based on the time,
the demand, all that kind ofstuff, and it just keeps adjusting
the price and moving it around totry to get the maximum amount of money
out of you. They use astatic ticket price in euro where it's just
the cost, that's the cost, and that's it. The way it should
be, the way it should bebut and and they sell out. And

(11:18):
I think the bigger point in tryingto make here is that half empty stadiums
are a bad look. If you'reif you're charging two hundred dollars a ticket
and you're getting you know, you'regetting people in there, fifty thousand people
in there, and you're making moneyon okay, even if you're charging double
what they're charging in the Euros, which which is what they're doing. Okay,

(11:39):
you made that money, but you'relosing out on so much more.
First of all, the optics ofhaving a full stadium means advertisers want to
get involved. Oh, this hasa market. I want to get involved.
You're you're running off advertising when they'relooking on television and see these half
empty stadiums and be like, Ido throw money at that. For it's
not going to get to very manypeople. People don't care about this,

(12:00):
So there's an optics. Look. The second part is is mathematically, you're
costing yourself money. If you aretickets you sell, the fewer concessions you're
gonna sell, the less merchandise you'regonna sell. The European soccer learned a
long time ago to keep the sportaccessible to the fans. The more people
you get in there, the morein demand it is. Because it's sold
out, the better off you'll be. And well it may seem counter into

(12:24):
it on the front end, whenyou drill down, you're going to make
more money that way anyway, SoI just i'd become frustrated by and looking
at this, especially this dynamic ticketpricing thing. It really frustrates me all
the AI that people are trying topush on different things. You see this

(12:46):
story today, NBC Sports is goingto al michaels is still live. By
the way, They're going to usean AI generated version of al Michael's voice
to deliver Olympics updates. Why.I don't know why not use this a
real voice. But if you workin this industry and you work in this

(13:11):
business, the last thing you wantis AI voice generation taking over. Is
that what you guys want? Wouldyou guys want a robot talking to you
sort of figuring out what the topicsof the day are and doing this right
here, it's not even a realperson. You're sitting there listening to a
robot generate talking points. Because that'ssort of the direction. A lot of
this stuff is headed. It's cheaper. You don't have to pay a robot,
you don't have to pay AI voice. There's cost and development and then

(13:37):
that's it. And they're already doingit someplaces, not in long form talk
shows like this, but in musicstations. That DJ voice that you're hearing
talking about some band coming up next, and you know, Phlippus that might
not even be a real person.Do you wonder why people are in a

(14:00):
lot of cases switching to Spotify andstream playlists and all that kind of stuff.
They're taking the soul out of whatmakes those programs work. DJs that
that have personality make those things work. DJ's like our own Grand Smith right
there on kbc O every night. There you go there do you go by?
Is DJ a title that you usesa different title? No, DJ
dis Grant Smith, just grands Smith, not DJ Grizzy Smith, DJ g

(14:24):
g dub gub. Maybe if Iwas on a different station we would,
But is that at the time? Are you? I mean, there's not
discs anywore on a disc jockey, but yeah, you're a DJ. Okay,
one of these days we'll get intothe differences between a DJ and an
MC five sixty six nine Zero's thetext line, Uh, Brian wants me

(14:46):
to say BK is very special onthe air tonight. So there you go.
I just did. Uh. Somebody'sasking me a question here if what
is well off media? Do Iknow what that is? Okay? I
don't know. I could AI run? I mean, I mean, I

(15:07):
don't know. I honestly I don'tknow. I think I think some of
these A. First of all,a lot of the things that we're calling
AI aren't AIE. It's a buzzwordthat people attached to, things like,
you know, to smart response searchengines and stuff that have nothing to do
with actual artificial intelligence, first ofall. The second of all, a

(15:28):
lot of the tasks that we usethat to simplify for I think are good,
but trying to get them to replaceactual people in some instances I think
is goofy. I don't mind cashierlesscheckout, you know, so the self
checkout stuff, I don't mind that. I never minded that. Does it

(15:48):
eliminate some jobs? Sure? Asfar as doing this though, I just
don't think that A that A youknow that an algorithm can do this job
better than we can. And Iwouldn't listen to one like that's my flitmus
test. Like if an AI,I would listen to it as a curiosity
factor for a second, but thenI would remember, I'm I'm talking to
something that doesn't think it's a promptand response generate a bit of code,

(16:08):
right, And that's the whole beautyof talk radio, as you never know
what's going to come next. Right, We're here talking, we're sharing opinions,
we're discussing stuff, and you neverknow who's going to show up,
and and so I just I don'tknow. I tend to think that stuff
like that, and I tend tothink that stuff like that with regard to
what you do. Grant over therefor GIBC, like, I hate it.

(16:29):
I can tell most of the timewhen it's an AI generated voice and
it's not you know, it's justsome something that you're us just I don't
have to pay something. Yeah, and maybe it'll develop to the point,
which is kind of scary for usin this business that it will be unrecognizable,
But for me, I can stilltell, and I think most listeners
can as well. Yeah, it'sit's just something that I have I don't

(16:55):
want to say railed against, butit's certainly not something that that's something I
enjoy. I haven't found, youknow, and I've kind of explored some
of this stuff, never found onethat I enjoyed five, six, six,
nine series of text line. Iwant to know what you guys think
that success is for the Denver Broncosthis year. What is the bar that

(17:18):
you're personally setting that it would makeit a successful year, wins it losses,
player development. I want to knowthe benchmarks by which you engauge this
season a success and how you engageat a failure. Does this team need
to make the playoffs? Do theyneed to avoid a top ten pick?

(17:40):
Do they like What specifically are thebenchmarks that were grading this season for the
Denver Broncos. Because everybody seems tohave a different answer When I talk to
people, what do they need toyou know this kind everybody seems to have
a different answer. Some people aresaying wins don't even matter this year,

(18:03):
it's all about developing bow knicks,And I guess that's under the assumption he
even wins the job. That's kindof how I'm looking at it, though,
like the only thing I want towalk away from this year after being
so utterly disappointed the past couple yearswith high expectations. I just want to
see that bow Knicks looks like hebelongs and will eventually not even be a

(18:26):
superstar on the Patrick Mahomes, JoeBurrow, Josh Allen level, but just
looks like he belongs and will bea competent quarterback because I think Sean Payton
can win with a quarterback that doesthings the way he wants them to be
done. So as long as ourdefense looks decent and bow Knicks looks like
he belongs, that's a successful seasonfor me this year. Yeah, I

(18:48):
don't know. I think I'm judgingon wins and losses. Man. Well,
I mean that's how you really getjudged in the NFL is wins and
losses, Because I mean, youbrought Sean Payton. You're paying them a
lot of money. You are payingSean Payton, well, now, I
believe it's the most of any headcoach in the NFL. With Bill bella

(19:10):
check out. You're paying him anexorbitant amount of money to come in here
and win. He got his guy. How long of the leash do you
give him to develop him? Isit one season? Do we start expecting
results this year. I expect resultsby the halfway point of this year,

(19:33):
Okay, but I mean may inour schedule, I just I don't see
that many wins on it, youknow. With the Vegas over under is
five and a half, I thinkit may be under. And I think
that's gonna be hard to swallow fora lot of Broncos fans. Yeah,
I mean it's playoffs is coming inon the text line quite a bit.

(19:57):
I think it's a tough ask inthis division, with this schedule. I
think it's a tough ask. Andthat's why that's why I'm curious about it.
Playoffs. We got a couple ofpicks come in on the NBA Draft,
We got some tickets to give away, and Vinie Bededetta joins us when
we come back at this Nebroncos CountryNight. Welcome to it, Broncos Country
Tonight. Benjamin Albright, Gret smithMan, the Myth, the Mustache.

(20:21):
We'll go right out to the KWACommas Pearls hotline though, and bring on
video meddetto from the Denver Gazette video. How you doing this evening? Doing
well? Hanging out at ball Arenaand waiting another couple of hours see what
the Nuggets sinner do to night.I'm familiar with that feeling from the NFL
side of the house, the NFLdraft. We are eagerly watching the NBA
draft here there are some Colorado connectionsin addition to what the what the Nuggets

(20:45):
may do. We have, Ibelieve four picks in thus far. Is
there anything that has stood out withyou for the first four picks. No,
I think I think things have prettymuch gone as expected so far through
through four picks. But this lastone steph Castle from you to San Antonio,
I think it's something that we'll we'llsee have a pretty immediate pact impact

(21:06):
just with the way, you know, his athleticism and defensive intensity compare with
the Victor Webbin Yama, I thinkcould have the spurs, you know.
Feeling feeling pretty pleased with that pick. Yeah, that was one of my
favorite players in there. I likedto saw our kid out of Australia.
And there's a couple players still tocome that I'm I'm a fan of that
well as somebody that has talked about, you know, over the last couple
of weeks and these mock drafts. It was the other kid out of UK

(21:27):
and Donovan Klingon, who I thinkof him more as a defensive anchor type
player than really it all around bigAnd I didn't understand why he was sort
of rocketing up the boards. AmI missing something with a ad or Yeah,
I don't know. I think it'sjust he's got the size, and
I feel like there's just kind ofa run of teams here that could that

(21:48):
could use them. You think about, you know, a Charlotte maybe pairing
him with a with a Lamello ball, or you know, Detroit's got a
couple young explosive guards. So Ithink there's the opportunity that that if if
not for one of these two teams, maybe they would they would trade out
of that pick and someone else wouldtry come up and get a center.
But I think it might also justhave that might be more of a reflection

(22:10):
on the quality of this draft classas a whole. And you know,
I think I think a lot ofpeople are correct when they say this is,
you know, considerably lower when itcomes to star star power. So
I think, you know, aboutthis five to ten ranger, I think
teams will will quickly kind of putstar power to the side. And just
start drafting for for best fit orimmediate impact. Cody Williams of Colorado another

(22:33):
name that has been rocketing up theboards in recent weeks. We've all seen
Cody play here. Do you thinkthat that's something that he winds up being
a lottery pick and why the suddenrise for him? Yeah, I think
I think he'll definitely be a lotterypick, and I think a lot of
it has to do with just justhis pedigree. You know, him being
a five star high school guy,has international youth experience at that level.

(23:00):
I mean, you kind of it'sa different situation, but I think back
to the way Calvin Booth talked aboutPeyton Watson, who was a five star
high school guy, played on aon a loaded UCLA team as as a
as a freshman, and you know, didn't put up the gaudy numbers.
And it's a slightly different situation withwith Cody up and Boulder, but he
was playing on you know, obviouslya team, an experienced team that that

(23:23):
has had a few other guys thatwill that'll be drafted either tonight or tomorrow,
So it wasn't like he had that, you know, this massive opportunity
to come in and put up bignumbers with the Buffs last year. But
I think he'll definitely be a lotterypick, and I think it'll be important
for him to kind of land inthe right situation where he's not being asked

(23:44):
to do a ton offensively, youknow, right away, but but let
him kind of let his defense andsome of the other things that he does
at a pretty high level. Lethim kind of get his seat wet,
you know, relying on the thingsthat he's good at and not being asked
to do too much too early,I think will be very for for his
prospects. You know, another playerwith some Colorado connections here, Dalton connect
who with the Purview High School obviouslyNorthern Colorado for a couple of years and

(24:08):
transferred to TENNT scene. He lookslike he could really be something that's picked
early tonight, maybe make an impactin the league. How surprising was was
his kind of journey through college basketballand where he is now. Yeah,
it's quite a story, and Ithink we're seeing more of these now that
you know, the transferred portal hasbecome what it is. I think,
you know, he's far from theonly guy who had you know, started

(24:32):
at a smaller school, transferred to, you know, one of one of
the power conferences, showed well inhis final couple of years of college,
and Pard laid that into you know, you know, I think I think
he'll also be another lottery guy.So it's a great story. And I
think that's one one of the positivesof the transfer portal is that, you
know, some of these guys whoare overlooked, you know, late in

(24:53):
high school have the opportunity to kindof prove themselves and then take advantage of
what they've done at you know, lower levels of college basketball. And you
know, I think Dalton is he'sprobably one of the better shooters in this
draft, and kind of his prooutlook depends on is is he really a
three level scorer at the next levelor is he a guy who kind of

(25:14):
becomes more of a spot up shooter. So, yeah, great story,
and I think he'll he'll probably behearing his name called here in the next
twenty or thirty minutes. One ofthe names that everybody's kind of keyed on,
although he's probably not going to betaken in the first round. Brownie
James. I think everybody expects theLakers to take him in the second round.
Is there any thought to anybody kindof holding him hostage, how you

(25:34):
drafting him, trying to ransom himto the Lakers. Yeah, I don't
know if that would be Uh,that'd probably be something for the second round,
when when you know it's it's gettingpretty bear in terms of guys you
think might be able to you know, hang around the league for a while
or make an immediate impact. SoI wouldn't be shocked if he ends up

(25:59):
in LA or maybe a Phoenix. But I just don't know how how beneficial
it's going to be for a teamto draft Ronnie James and then expect much.
I don't know what the Lakers wouldreally give up for it. Maybe
you get a future second round pickor something, But I don't think it's
going to be one of those hostagesituations where they're just asking for an arm
in a league for a guy whowe don't we're not sure as an NBA

(26:23):
player. Fair enough, we're talkingwith any bedadetto the Denver g is that
okay, let's talk about the Nuggets. They do have a pick that's a
little bit later in this round. We have some some needs obviously, CACP
situation is still in flux. Whatshould the Nuggets do or hope happens with
this pick. I think the bestcase scenario for the Nuggets is either a

(26:44):
day Ron Holmes or a Kyle Philadowskiis available at twenty eight. I'm not
sure that's going to be the case, but I just feel like backup center
might be the combination of easiest voidto fill and the most pressing need.
You know, we had the Nuggetshad Reggie Jackson opt into his his contract
earlier this week, which which wasn'ta surprise, but it does give them

(27:07):
some kind of some level of securityat backup point guard. They've gone pretty
wing heavy in the last few drafts, so backup center is something that's kind
of been an issue for this teamthe last couple of years. I think,
you know, the Nuggets will bepretty happy if if they had an
opportunity to address that need at twentyeight. Well saw Reggie Jackson obviously pick
up his option to stick with theNuggets. KCP situation still in flux.

(27:32):
What's likely to happen there? Ithink the most likely outcome is KCP opts
out of his player option for nextyear and I know, I think the
Nuggets would be wise to you know, there there is there does need to
be a top limit. But Ithink either offering more money and fewer years,

(27:52):
or maybe giving KCP an extra yearand maybe not matching the salary that
that some of these teams can.I think a lot of people are looking
at the seventy six ers and Magicas teams that would be really interested in
KCP. So I think either youknow, paying him more for a fewer
years, or extending the new contractout a year further than some of the

(28:15):
other teams interested. I think thatwould be wise for the Nuggets to kind
of not do whatever they have todo to get him back, but but
get you know, go pretty closeto doing whatever it takes. What can
the Nuggets do to strengthen that benchthis offseason, because we saw, you
know, it just wasn't quite thesame without Bruce Brown, and if you

(28:36):
do lose KCP, I mean, that creates a gaping hole there. What
can they do to kind of strengthenWhat are the options out there? Yeah,
I mean so if they're a secondApron team, which looks likely if
they retain KCP, it's going tobe down to you know, the guys
they draft to night and tomorrow andminimum contract guys, or maybe you can
swing a smaller trade involving a dJackson or a Zeke Naji. But I

(29:00):
think I think they're really in anall right situation if you can, if
you can count on some development fromuh the young bench guys. You know,
Christian Brown is you know, probablythe most experience, but Peyton Watson
taking a leap leap this offseason,Julian Strauther being more dependable next year,

(29:22):
and then you know, it remainsto be seen whether Jalen Ticket or Hunter
Tyson are going to be able toguys who are who are going to be
able to contribute. But you know, it does feel like by the end
of tomorrow's second round that the Nuggetswill have not a full roster, but
it will be pretty close. SoI think their best bet in terms of
improving that group might be targeting ofa veteran or two who would be willing

(29:48):
to take the minimum to have theopportunity to contend for a championship here.
I think that's probably that, coupledwith the picks tonight and tomorrow, are
going to be Denver's best bet forfor improving bench unit Vita Bettedetto the Denver
Gazette. Then appreciate your time. This evening awesome. You guys have a
good one. Yeah, take care. Let's go to the KWA Common Script
Traffics Center check out with David BrianWelcome to it, Broncos Country at Tonight,

(30:11):
Benjamin Albright, Gret Smith, theMan, the Myth, the Mustache.
Thanks to Vinie Bettedetto for joining usin the last segment. If you
guys missed that grant, I'll haveit up on Broncos Country Tonight dot Com
slash podcast here in just a fewwea Ryan Michael joining us Top of the
Hour. Got a lot of datastuff to get into. What is adjusted

(30:33):
value career adjusted value. It's it'san interesting number that I think the guys
over at Pro Football Reference came upwith that tries to encapsulate everything that a
player does in a season down toone number and use that number to kind
of rate how the players season went. And they can do it for offensive
lineman too, who don't really havea lot of these statistics things like that.

(30:55):
So we'll let him explain exactly whatthat is. Who the Broncos career
av leaders are and you know, kind of if anything stands out about that.
He also dropped his quarterback rankings list, so we'll get a chance to
Needler about that a little bit.Five six six nine Zeros text line three
six. Il wants to know whenthey became the old kids on the block

(31:15):
right around the head look, andI make the same joke all the time.
I mean, at this point,Harry Potter so old only have to
call him Harold, and new kidson the Block or woof. They were
performing in what ninety four I thinkit was ninety two nighty three to night
four, night five, somewhere inthat range. They kicked off the whole

(31:37):
like boy band explosion because it waslike them. And then they got like
they tried to take themselves a littletoo seriously, like right around the time
like Hanging Tough came out, andI think everybody was kind of looking at
MTV being like, dude, nobodyis afraid of Jordan Knight in a bandana.

(32:00):
And I think that's where that fellapart. I think the best thing
to come out of New Kids wasDonnie Wohlberg's acting career. But I mean,
I just I don't know. Thatwas never my thing, but then
shortly thereafter Backstreet Boys were, youknow, like a year or two after
that. Then Instant came right afterright after the Backstreet Boys, and then
that started that whole boy band explosion. When I got the email last night

(32:24):
that we had these tickets to giveaway, our boss, Dave Tepper was
like in honor of Ben's boy bandcareer, and I was like, I
hate you so much, unless you'relistening right now, in which case you
is the best boss in the world. We gotta a break. Rocos Country
Night rolls on after this
