nailed where you can also get thetake It for Granted podcast as well.
Yeah, double nailed it. Theredropped a new episode yesterday. Yeah,
that was the one we were talkingabout, right because I had not listened
yet recapping the candidate trip. Quicklisten. It's only like fifteen minutes long,
noah, but still it'll also onthe iHeartRadio app. You can leave
us talkback messages and we just gotone in if you want to listen.

(00:47):
I do want to listen to it. I love it. You literally quick
a little red microphone up in thecorner and leave a message like this,
Hey, Ben, since you're doingthe presidential to debate tomorrow, I have
a few important questions for the candidates. Where what is their stance on herrot
cake PSLs year Round and three andone shampoo. Also, what is their

(01:07):
plan for getting the words irregardless andmatriculate into the Constitution. And finally,
what is their plan if we nukea stake and it's still too rare for
Nick? These are the important issuesthat people want to know. You have
to you have to tune in.We're doing a Facebook live during the debate.
We'll be on prior to the debate, So a little program you note
here, guys, if you hadn'theard already. Tomorrow, myself, Roskyminski,

(01:30):
Mandy Connell, we'll be on livehere on KOA at six pm and
from six to seven we'll be doingpre debate coverage. What we expect to
see, what we what we hopeto see, hope to hear, you
know, those kinds of things. What does it mean if that kind of
stuff? And then reacting live onFacebook Live the KOA cast during the debate,
so you can follow along there andand and have some fun with us

(01:55):
doing that. These see these Ithink these are the questions that the people
want to know. This is whatwe need to hear from our presidential candidate.
That's what I'm saying, where doeswhere does Donald Trump stand on public
spice lot days? Where does wheredoes Dark Brandon stands on carrot cake?
These are the things that people needto know. How do you order your
stake? These are the make orbreak questions that can that can legitimize or

(02:17):
destroy a candidacy. And you hearthis kind of hard hitting stuff right here
at Broncos Country, and I appreciatethe the talk back there five six six
nimes. There's a text line youguys want to get involved in the conversation
as well. I uh, I'mlooking forward to to catch you up on
your trip tomorrow to Canada. I'vegot to get a busy day here at
the station tomorrow. I'll be inin here for Colorado Morning News to talk

(02:38):
about you know, the debate stufffor us, Mandy, all that kind
of stuff all day long. Sobusy day at the station here tomorrow as
well. Talked a little before weget to the break, what constitutes a
successful season and I want to hitnot just the Broncos. That's that's where
I want to start with that, but I want to talk about see you
as well for the around a bossfor Dion Sanders, her coach prime where

(03:01):
what is a successful season and whatexactly is an unmitigated disaster? Because for
see you it's it's it's going tobe interesting. She know or is going
to leave. Travis Hunter is goingto leave after the season. So it
feels like that there really is asense of urgency to capitalize on what it

(03:22):
is that they've sort of built there, Like you've you've created sort of a
cultural epicenter in college football. Butwhen does that translate to wins? And
how many wins is enough to keepit going? So I five six six
nine zero on that. By theway, Tristan de Silva of CU,

(03:45):
speaking of which was drafted real recently, was it the who got him?
Was it the Magic? Yep?Orlando Magic? And uh Dalton Connect.
The slide finally ends. I wastelling Grant Man, I got this bad
feeling, and sure enough it cametrue. Dalton Connect the Los Angeles Lakers
there at sixteen. I was like, oh, this would be a good
fit for connect with the sixers, and You're like, look at the team

(04:06):
after that, that's who I'm worriedabout. Yep, And there there was
was the Lakers took Dalton connects sohappy that his slide ended and happy for
the uh the Prairie View alum. But you know the hated Lakers. Three
players so that played college basketball inColorado and the top eighteen picks. Yes,

(04:27):
that's pretty good, pretty big basketballto see you buffs. That just
makes me think, man, theykind of underperformed. Well that that's the
thing. I mean, you hadto you had a player take another top
ten another player here, and thenyou got another one. I think that's
that still could get drafted and uhand you were you know, you were
a team that couldn't get what dothey get to the round of thirty two?
Uh? I think they made itto the sweet sixteen, right,
which is Creighton anywhere Marquette, Butyou couldn't get But I mean it feels

(04:51):
like did you had a squad thatwas capable of going a lot further than
you did and and didn't get itdone. So that's gonna be that's probably
going to be a talking point tomorrowon a lot of radio stations. What
constitutes success for CEU football though thiscoming season, for me, I think
it's seven wins. I think youget a bowl game, dude, Well,

(05:13):
yeah, you'll get a Bowl Game. With seven wins, I think
you need more than six, thoughI think six. People are still like,
well, they were better, butthey only won two more games than
last year. But if you getseven wins, but the schedule they have
this year, I think that's asuccessful year and that can keep the momentum
going with coach Prime into the futureif he decides to stay. Yeah,
it's an interesting schedule. I think. I think you can come out of

(05:36):
the first five or six games withsome wins, but there's some tough stuff
on the back end, including agame at Kansas on November twenty third,
that I think is probably if you'rerolling, that's going to be a Marquie
matchup. It's it's kind of funnyto think about because over the last twenty
years about a football matchup between Kansasand Colorado probably hasn't dominated the college football

(05:57):
landscape. But if both those teamsare rolling at that point, and Kansas
certainly figures to be, uh,that would be uh, that would be
a marquee matchup there, lady inthe in the season, Yeah, Kansas
is a football school now, whowould have thought they really are? Don't
overlook that that first game on theschedule that could really debacle the whole CU
buff season with North Dakota State.Man, I'm here, it's gonna be

(06:20):
a tough game, but I doI just think she used more to Yeah,
I think they have more talent aswell, But you can't overlook that's
gonna be the biggest game on theschedule for North Dakota State and one that
some players on CU may just overlookbecause they're like, who the hell is
North Dakota State. So Thursday nightgame six pm live on ESPN and then
the radio broadcast of course right hereit's your exclusive home for c Buzz football

(06:45):
KOA. So you know, ifyou hear that, I think for again,
I just think it has to bea bowl game for CEU. That's
the bear minimum. If you don'tmake a bowl game, I don't understand
how you justify this thing. Whenyou brought coach in, he brought his
best play players with him, youknow, right off the bat, and
then what once those guys leave? Then what I mean, you know,

(07:08):
see who's trying to recruit a quarterbackthey got their eyes on right now.
So there's been a lot of newsabout that. They haven't shorn up the
offensive line. Yet we'll see howthat the moves that they made this offseason
play out. With the transfer portalbeing what it is, of prime leaves,
you got to figure most of thisroster is gonna leave and you'll be
starting from scratch yet again. Uhso it'll be it'll be fascinating to sort

(07:29):
of see how that plays out.But I can't see anything less than a
Bowl game for the CU Buffs thisyear being considered success. And honestly,
I think it puts the program introuble if you don't get that, because
the luster wears off after a while. You can be the you can be
the school that's the party. Youcan be the school it's you know,
it's got the rap concerts and everythingelse, but at some point you gotta
start winning. Yeah, and thoseall those things are going to fade out

(07:50):
eventually if you don't win, rightand so that you know who wants to
come, who wants to come partyit up? But you know, right
before a big loss, you know, yeah, I'm gonna put on a
so you guys can lose. That'sthat's so it'll be interesting to see how
that shakes out for the Broncos.I think the bar is a little bit
different. It's year two of SeanPayton, so I would suggest that the
bar has to be higher than lastyear. That said, you're resetting at

(08:13):
the quarterback position. You've moved onfrom two stalwart defensive captains, whether that
was Kareem Jackson in season last yearor Justin Simmons after the season. Whether
or not Cortland Sutton is here remainsto be seen, although he is for
the moment. And so I thinkwhen you you contextualize where the Broncos are

(08:37):
in the terms of this rebuild. While I would say you have to improve
on last year, I don't thinkthey necessarily do. You're You're just Sean
Payton's gonna be back next season eitherway, just by virtue of the money
that's owed, because they're paying aressorbent amount of money. So I think
Sean Payton is basically the clock started. He's got this year plus next year
to show results. Right at theend of next year, you've got to

(08:58):
be a playoff team, and soI think you lay the groundwork here,
whether that is development for Zach Wilsonor Bo Nicks, whomever, Jared Jared
Sidham, whoever winds up being thequarterback. I think it's settling on a
quarterback this year, and that's theguy. I think it's building around that
person, and then part of itfalls on the defense. I think defensively,

(09:20):
this team is going to look alot different than it's looked in recent
years. I think you're going tosee a unit that values pressure. That's
Joseph is a Wade Phillips disciple, and what he was running last year is
antathetical to what it is that hedoes. The Vic Fangil scheme, which

(09:43):
runs a tight front that's T IT E, not T I G T.
A tight front in which you seefour eyes on on either end.
There. The idea behind it isto send the least amount of people you
need to get pressure and drop everybodyelse back play on middlefield open ce two
C four six, you know, and and go from there with with vance.

(10:05):
And it requires the safeties to bein a different depth. Vic's defense
requires safeties to be in a bitof a different depth in order to read
the thing with with Vance. Imean it's it's a little bit more of
a traditional said everybody, Uh,you know, corners in man out there
on an island, and and andone high safety and that's you know what
kind of his his preferred look. You see a lot of two four five

(10:26):
nickel type stuff, heavy nickel, the three safety rotations. Uh, they'll
blitz the dbate with with Vic.You never blitz the dB with With Vance,
you see it a lot more frequently. And I think you have defensive
backs with the skill sets to dothat. Whether it's Brandon Jones who you
brought over from Miami who excels atthat. Jaqui McMillan certainly showed a penchant

(10:50):
for that last year. I thinkyou're going to see Vance Joseph running a
lot more of what Vance Joseph traditionallyruns. I think the breaking point for
that last year was the Miami game, where you saw guys with bad run
fits. You saw guys that improperdepths, They couldn even get lined up
right, And it was trying thecontinuity thing was a good idea, and

(11:11):
keeping the verbage was a good idea, but trying to keep continuity in terms
of what they were doing just didn'treally work out. And they kind of
shifted that a little bit. Assoon as they did. You saw the
defense take off. That's what ledto that winning streak over the middle of
the season. Yeah, and I'mexcited to see Vance unleashed, you know.
And I think that's a more excitingbrand of football to watch in general.
And I think the defense is goingto have to carry this team for

(11:33):
at least the first half of theseason until we figure out what's going on
at quarterback. Is Bonix ready tobe the guy? And you know still
when he is ready to be theguy, you're just going to have a
rookie quarterback in there. So yougot to hope that the defense takes even
more strides this year under Vance Josephin year two. Yeah, with Victhangel's
scheme, I mean, it's beendon't break is the philosophy. Basically,

(11:54):
the idea is just keep it infront of you, boggy down in the
red zone so you're kicking field goalsor if they can turn you over,
turn you over, but bogg youdown to kick field goals and go from
there. And at defense it works. The problem is two fold is if
you play coin flip football, meaningthat you play a conservative style of offense

(12:16):
and you're at a close game andyou need a takeaway or a stop at
the end of the game. It'svery tough to get with that style of
defense. It is. It's verytough to get a stop. You're just
basically glad to get down there andtry to get them to kick a field
goal and get the ball back unlessyou feel like you could turn them over.
The Broncos just struggle to create turnoverswith that defense at opportune moments.

(12:41):
The problem with Vance Joseph's preferred styleof defense is it's aggressive. You'll get
tons of sacks, you'll get interceptions, fumbles. The turnover numbers logatti.
Yeah, the points per game numbersomehow usually looks worse though, because you're
going to give up some big playsEventually. If you're in man coverage and
a guy slips all of a sudden, he's wide open, there's no safety

(13:03):
net there. Yeah, a lotmore risk reward, right, there's a
lot more risk involved with that,But there's a lot more reward with those
kinds of things as well, Andso it's it's really is going to be
interesting to see, you know, what that looks like in the end.
The personnel they've brought in to kindof do that, I think looks a
lot better, and I think thereit's going to be interesting. Even though
the loss of Justin, You've gotother personnel. I think they improved in

(13:26):
other areas, so we'll kind ofsee. But I think again with the
Broncos, it's not it may notbe a win loss number. I think
any any win total lower than sixis embarrassing. But if you're showing a
trend in the right direction at theend of the year, I guess maybe

(13:46):
you can sort of look past that. Yeah, but do you even see
I mean, I'm looking at theschedule right now. Do you see six
wins on here? Because I don'tmean it's a tough Panthers at home.
That'll be a win, you wouldhope. What other is what other ones?
Like? You look at it andyou say, yep, they're definitely
gonna win that game. Maybe atthe Saints. But I think you can

(14:09):
win that Seahawks game. I knowa lot of people are counting up.
But you've got a rookie head coachin that one. You know, it's
Gino Smith. I think there's there'sa there's a chance that you can win
that. When the Steelers game hereis gonna have a lot of emotion.
That's gonna be interesting. I don'tthink they'll win that. I don't think
that, but it's gonna be it'sgonna be interesting. Then you you go
onto the Tampa Bay Bucks, that'sa tough one. I'm not sure you

(14:30):
win that. The Jets is aquestion mark. You know, what does
Aaron Rodgers net offense look like atthat point? And I think Sean Payton's
got got that one sort of circle. He's got a you know, he's
got a bounce ye circled last year, but he put a target on the
teams back right and then he ateit. I think this year the targets
on him. And you come tothe Raiders. Broncos haven't beat the Raiders
since they've been in Las Vegas, and I think the team's got to have

(14:52):
that circle for pride. So Ithink the Vegas I think the Raiders games
of possibility. Chargers games are probablylosses this year with Harriball, I mean
that they're not gonna choke games awaythe way Brandon Staley used to do it,
and those were kind of wins almostwe could count the couple of years.
Uh, the New Orleans Saints,I think that's a coin flips down
there in New Orleans. It isa Thursday night game. That's gonna be

(15:16):
a question of which quarterback can makeplays at the right time. Panthers you
already talked about. That's probably awin. Ravens and Chiefs those are probably
losses. The Falcons you could probablywin that one. Then you're at the
Raiders again. You haven't ever wonin Las Vegas. You gotta get that
off your back. Then you getthe week thirteen in Cleveland. Cleveland's a
good football team. Broncos managed tobeat them become Yeah. Well, and
that's the thing is Deshaun wats Imean, Deshaun Watson's not good anymore.

(15:39):
He's not good. So is heeven gonna be the quarterback at that point?
You know, its something that's outthere the and you get the bye
week to prep for the Colts.I think that's gonna be a good game,
an interesting game. I think peopleoverrate Anthony Richardson a little bit.
We'll kind of see how that onegoes. And again you get the Chargers,
Bengals and Chiefs end the season. It's tough. I mean you're probably
looking at five to six wins there. Yeah, unless you get lucky all

(16:00):
bounces the right way. Or thisteam is better than we think it is.
I don't know when we come back. The NFL six Pack, Broncos
Country Night, Welcome to It,Broncos Country Tonight, Benjamin Albright, Grant
smith Man, The Myth, TheMustache, five sixty six nine Zeros text
line. You guys want to getinvolved in the conversation as well. Appreciate

(16:22):
video Bededo joining us earlier from TheDenver Gazette, Ryan Michael at The Michael
on Twitter for throwing down some dataartists in the last hour. You guys
get those Broncos Country Night, dotCom, Slash Podcast, Apple iTunes,
Spotify told them free it Awesome,I hurt Radio app Nail did nailed it
the second time, where you canalso get to Take It for Granted podcast
and recount Grant's trip to Canada.I know what I'm going to be doing

(16:44):
on my drive home tonight. Youshould as well. I'm with that.
Let's get the NFL six pack. It's time for the NFL six path.
I'm gonna trade the last year guyInsight did insight information you can't find anywhere
else. No. Six the topsix headlines, what and before we get
to the NFL six pack For thoseNuggets fans out there. The Phoenix Suns

(17:07):
are trading the draft rights too,Doron Holmes, who I said earlier the
Nuggets were looking at number twenty twooverall to the Denver Nuggets for the twenty
twenty eighth pick and the number fiftysix pick in the second round plus two
future second round picks. So Igets really liked Doron Holmes, and they
ended up getting their guy even thoughit cost them a little bit more.

(17:30):
That is as a king's ransom.Kind of feels like, Yeah, draft
picks in the NBA are weird, though, yeah they are. You could
trade like ten years in advance, right they like twenty thirty one first round
or that they're trading or whatever,Like, dude, that kid whoever that's
gonna be, that guy's like tenyears old right now. For the first
NFL six pack story, the BrandonAyuk and San Francisco forty nine ers drama

(17:52):
continues. On Tuesday, Ayuk respondedto a recent report that San Francisco had
previously engaged in talks with the Commandersabout possibly trading him, although nothing ever
came of those talks. Iuk respondedon Instagram, but I thought the Niners
was never trying to trade me.What's going to come of all this,
Well, this situation is one that'sthat's escalating in the wrong direction. The

(18:17):
forty nine Ers absolutely want Brandon IYou've back. They do not want Brandon
you back at his price point, and he's he's asking for something north of
thirty million dollars a year and that'sjust not something that night Ers, with
the team they've construct, can affordto pay. And so it sort of
created a problem. There's been differingreports out there, Tom Pelliser reporting that

(18:38):
Ayuk has never requested a trade. You know, there's the engaged talks with
the Commanders From the Niners side ofthings. I will say that that the
Niners talked to multiple teams inquiring whatwould be just to kind of set the
groundwork on that the Commanders weren't theonly team. The Pittsburgh Steelers, for
one or I reported on netback inwhat March or April whatever that occurred.

(19:04):
Ayuk played ball with former Commanders, with Commander's rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. There
were college teammates, and obviously that'swhere they don't want me back. A
thing came from the other day.The situation is devolving. It's it's not
looking great right now. Kyuk iscurrently slated to make fourteen point one twenty
four million this season under the fifthyear option. He is a projected market

(19:26):
value of twenty six and a halfmillion annually from spout Track, and he
is asking for north of thirty milliona year, which I just don't think
he's going to get. Two.Yeah, I think he's definitely underpaid,
but north of thirty, I don'tthink that's going to happen. Austin Eckler,
speaking of the Commanders, is lookingto reclaim his role as one of

(19:47):
fantasy football's top producers in twenty twentyfour. During an appearance on Wednesday's edition
of The Insiders on NFL Network, the new Commander's running back wanted to clear
up pass quotes on his re hisname behind leaving the Chargers and went on
to say he is going to beone of the top running backs and fantasy
football this year. Do you thinkhe will be? Well, it's only

(20:08):
a year two late. For BenjaminAlmwright's fantasy football team. Eckler with a
second overall pick in the draft inhis fantasy football draft last year. Oh,
you know, I like Boston Ecklera lot. I think he's a
heck of a player. I thinkhe's got the right mindset. I think
he tried to play the business anglewith the Chargers a little too much and
that wound up kind of sort ofgetting him a label that I don't think

(20:30):
he deserves. I believe that hehas the ability to do that and in
this offense, in that Cliff Kingsburyoffense, if they use him properly,
he can be Now, Brian Robinson'sgoing to be in that backfield as well,
but you know, his old headcoach, Anthony Lynn, is the
running back coach there, so theremay be that familiarity may help out.

(20:52):
I expect Eckler to be a thirddown back as well as kind of a
versatile guy on some of the others. Brian Robinson will probably vulture the first
down carries, but second third downship belonged to Ackler. We'll kind of
see how that rotation pans out.I don't know if he's gonna be a
top guy, but I feel likehe can do a lot better than he
did last year. Yeah, Iwon't be taking him with a top five
pick, but still gonna try andsneak him on my team this year.
Three spoke about Anthony Richardson earlier coachGM earlier today, Chris Ballard said,

(21:18):
Anthony Richardson will be a full goand training camp coming off the shoulder injury.
And it begs the question our expectationstoo high for Anthony Richard and Anthony
Richardson heading into his second year,Well, they certainly are higher than I'm
comfortable with. I've seen a lotof stuff out there, people dark horsing
him for MVP and all this kindof stuff. I'm like, guys,

(21:41):
you played four games last year beforehe got hurt. He was a sub
sixty percent passer. He really hethrew threw for three touchdowns in those four
games, only three touchdowns in thosefour games. His QBR was forty five.
Like, I get that we're allhyped about him, and you know,
I thought there was some some interestingthings that he did, and I

(22:03):
love Shane Steichen creating an offense forhim, But we're talking about a guy
who missed, you know, overseventy five percent of the season due to
injury, did not play at anelite level in those first four games he
played like a rookie, and youknow, as much as we all see
potential there, I don't know ifcalling a guy who's played four games and
MVP candidate's second season is really theway to go. So I think the
expectations on him are a little highright now. I would love to revisit

(22:27):
this conversation after the season. Yeah, even just halfway through the season.
He's going to be a top fantasypick this year. Yeah, a lot
of people are gonna invest in theearly I won't be one of them that
a lot of people will for.Well, speaking of the MVP race in
the NFL, Cardinals tight end TreyMcBride CSU legend confident Kyler Murray is capable

(22:48):
of an MVP season in twenty twentyfour. He said, this is my
third year with Kyler now, andhe seems more motivated than ever. He's
a guy who's bringing everyone together. We're throwing every weekend, We're getting everyone
together. He's in the building, first one in and last one out.
He's one of those guys who's doingeverything the right way. Is Kyler Murray

(23:11):
capable of an MVP season in twentytwenty four, Well, we'll see.
It's been declining production for him forfour years as well as declining playtime sixteen
games in twenty twenty fourteen games intwenty one to eleven games in twenty two,
eight games and twenty three is hecame back from the injury. Touchdown
percentage has declined virtually every year, although with the interception percentage has sort of

(23:32):
declined as well. Quarterback rating hasbeen on a three year slide from sixty
three to fifty three to forty sevenpoint two. His sack percentage has risen
over the last four years from fullpoint six to six point one, six
point zero, six point three. You know, it seems to be hustling
backwards when it comes to Kyler Murray, who may have only benefit for Cliff
Kingsbury's offense. He was okay lastyear run at a West Coast system.

(23:55):
In eight games and eight games started, he had ten touchdowns to five picks.
Extrapolate that out. That's a twentyone and ten season basically in terms
of touchdowns the interceptions. You know, I'm not the biggest fan. You
know, I have been the biggestfan of along. He certainly carved out
a career in the NFL, andI think that he's a serviceable starter in
this league. The question is cateringat offense to his skill set and finding

(24:18):
something that works for him. We'llsee if they're able to do that.
This year five we spoke about TrevorLawrence signing a big deal in Jacksonville with
Ryan Michael earlier. Well, Jacksonvillehas approved one point four billion dollars worth
of stadium renovation for the Jaguars Stadium. The Jacksonville City Council voted fourteen to

(24:40):
one on Tuesday night to approve anagreement between the Jaguars and the city on
those one point four billion dollars worthof renovations to ever Bank Stadium. Man
I was thinking that they were goingto be the first first team to be
an international team with their owner havingties over in England already. So does

(25:02):
this mean it's not going to bethe Jaguars as the first international NFL team?
Well, I, you know,I was never one of the people
that thought they were going to befull time in London. You know,
play a quarter of the season thereseems to be about the maximum as far
as that goes. Maybe they geta whole year over there, one year
when they're outside of EverBank as theytry to do this. But yeah,
I with the Jags, I mean, this is this is interesting because if

(25:26):
the Jags and the Panthers, twoof the worst franchises in the NFL over
the last twenty years or so,both of them got together and got stadium
deals, heavy taxpayer subsidized stadium dealsdone. Meanwhile, you've got the defending
Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs whocan't get stay done and talking about moving
to Kansas. So maybe they gonnaplay a cornfield who knows. But it's

(25:48):
it's it's fascinating to me how thishow this thing is sort of morphed.
Initially, the Jags stadium stuff didn'tlook like it was gonna get done.
The first thing that they had sentto not get through. So it's interesting
to see that this this package did. It's a lot of money. There's
a lot of money for the taxpayers, you know, subsidize a billionaire's products
in Duval County. Six A twopack going number two stories, pawk of

(26:18):
Olympics stories. Here for the sixthstory of the NFL six pack. And
you'll see why I said that herein just a minute. But the first
you touched on this earlier. NBCis going to use an AI generated version
of Al Michael's voice during the SummerOlympics. Your Olympic Daily Recap on Peacock
Peacock Peacock will feature narration from ahigh quality AI recreation of the legendary sports

(26:45):
broadcast Al Michaels. Why why isthis happening? Why not just use the
re allow Michaels. Well, yeah, Al Michaels is still live. It
was funny to see all the rip L Michaels tweets today when I'm like,
wait a minute, Dude's still live. It was like. This going
to be used for your Daily OlympicRecap, which is designed to provide users
a customized playlist of highlights of theevent most relevant to what they want to

(27:08):
watch. The clips will be narrated, obviously by this quote unquote high quality
AI version of Michael's voice. NBCsays the AI was trained using his past
experiences on NBC to match his signatureexpertise and elocution. Michaels currently does play
by play for Amazon Prime Videos ThursdayNight Football, but prior to that did
Sunday Night Football from six to twentytwo. He still has an emeritus role

(27:30):
with NBC even though he's left theirfootball coverage, and an interview with Vanity
Fair, he said he was initiallyvery skeptical what approached about the idea,
but once he heard what it soundedlike, he said, it was amazing
and a big frightening. Not onlywas it close, it was almost two
percent off perfect. I'm thinking,WHOA. The idea here, I think
is to provide highlights so that Imean it would be impossible for him to
read thousands of highlights off and doall that kind of stuff, so they

(27:52):
have an AI voice to do it. And that's supposed to be the idea.
I just hated for conceptually what itbrings to the table, which is,
you know, the future of thisformat with talkbots, and I want
I don't want. That has nothingto do with me being in this industry.
I mean, if you know,if I get replaced by something,
I'll find something else. That's nothing, but I don't want to listen to
a talkbot like I wouldn't be listeningto that as a fan of sports talk

(28:14):
radio talk radio in general. Sonumber two on the Olympics stories and are
now just a month away. Isthat an ironic use of number two?
Isn't it ironic? Don't you thinkParisians are threatening to poop and the scene
sign? I don't know how yousay. I think it's Scene River to
protest sewage contamination ahead of Paris twentytwenty four Summer Olympics. This is from

(28:37):
CBS News. They said the twentytwenty four Paris Olympics are just a month
away, but there is still anasty controversy brewing over one of the spots
serving as a focal point for theevent, the Scene River. After months
of test showing high levels of bacteriafrom sewage and wastewater, residents fed up
with the river pollution just weeks beforeOlympic athletes are set to die, then

(29:00):
are threatening to stage a mass defecationand protest. Have you heard of this
story? Ed? What are yourthoughts on it? Well, they've spent
one point four billion euros on apurification project already. Paris has examined the
Sands water quality from the first tothe ninth of this month, Acoli level
exceeded European swimming guidelines and standards, which is one thousand per one hundred millimeters

(29:26):
so right now it is definitely polluted. This website, which ridicules French President
Emmanuel Marcahn in Paris Mayor and Hidalgopledges to swim in the river to demonstrate
its clemminists, saying they've thrown usinto the bleep, now it's their turn
to be in our bleep. Thesite also provided a calculation to guide citizens
on when to defecate so that theirwaste would reach the city center by noon

(29:48):
on the twenty third, depending ontheir distance from downtown. Paris. State
was chosen because it was the daythey all gohead committed to swimming. However,
due to rising river level, shecanceled us on the twenty third and
vowed to refulfill her promise before theOlympics opening. Uh. I don't think
that creating a worse situation in anything. I don't think making a worse situation
makes any situation better. Uh.And so you know, I know I

(30:12):
don't necessarily agree with this form ofprotest, although it is absolutely hilarious,
hilarious, I you know, asfar as this goes, though, I
don't even expect it to go through. I at the end of the day,
I am willing to bet that theFrench, like they always do,
we'll just surrender and move on.But I love your point. I was
talking to my wife about this lastnight, and she said, this is

(30:34):
like people bringing bricks to a protestto uh that's a you know, against
violence of some sort. Yeah, and that's exactly to protest Arson. You
know, it's like, what areyou doing here? Yeah, you're just
making a bad situation worse, likeyou said, right, And I don't
think that's that's ever. I don'tthink that that is ever rightly. We
we're talking about that a little bittoo with some of these other protests that

(30:55):
people had, Scotti s. Sheffler'sstuff. You know, you look like
a kook when you do stuff likethat. At least in this case,
it's funny, so we're laughing. If it's hubrius, we tend to laugh
at it and not just view thepeople as insane, like right off the
bat. But you know, withthe with protest, I mean, has
any of these protests done anything?Have they accomplished anything? No? I'm
like going back to all of them, the ridiculous ones. I mean,

(31:18):
is soybomb did he ever accomplish anything? I don'tonder how many people even know
what I'm talking about. With that, It's funny to me because none of
these petitions or protests or you know, any of this U stuff leads to
a positive end. You know, the only thing that gets anything done is

(31:42):
doing something, literally doing something,or you know, again getting involved in
the political process and getting people involvedwho will do something. So I guess
that creates a great segue to talkabout. Okay, we was pre debate
coverage tomorrow night, starting at sixpm, myself, Ross Kaminsky, Mandic
Cotto can be live on Facebook theKawait Cast During the debate us you get

(32:04):
