(00:00):
Welcome to it broncos Country tonight. But with all Brian, Nick Ferguson,

(00:03):
Grant Smith. Remember Pete A.Lonzo had thrown in balls. You gotta
fire that dude. That might behis pops man, gotta fire you know
that anymore. You can't fire Popfired dadust bro. We have money on
the line here. Pop's gonna sayI'm the reason you had a baseball in
the first place. He's looking deadin the eyes, so you're bleeping up
the rotation, you know exactly whatI mean too, and Pop's gonna eat

(00:24):
you. And he was one ofthem. Let's go out to the kay
com Still hotline and bring on NickCosmider Nick, how you know this evening?
I'm good, guys, didn't Wasn'tAlonzo the guy that won it in
Denver? Yeah, he's one ofa couple of times. Yeah yeah.
And then he apparently was afterwards,as you mentioned his dad throwing to him.

(00:46):
I think they were like partying atthe ice house for like hours afterwards,
taking pictures of the fans. Sothat's that's always my like te Alonzo
thing that pops in my head.Yeah, okay, well, I mean
feel good story. But Pop's hasgot to retire the arm because it ain't
it ain't happening today. He's apea sidy. Yeah, I think he
cracked ten homers I think, andthat was about this about half the totally
needed to advance. So not great. Talking to Nick cosmider for in the

(01:07):
Athletic twenty twenty three Colorado Sports Writerof the Year. By the way,
so you that did not know that. I did not know that, Nick,
but now I do and I feeleducated. We need your expert opinion.
We were talking about the cacpi sizedhole in the starting lineup for the
Denver Nuggets. I put forth atStrawther's has shown probably the offensive prowess maybe

(01:29):
that the Nuggets need. Nick hassaid that Christian Brown has earned the role,
you know, and has earned theopportunity to take over there. What
do you think that the Nuggets shoulddo to round out the starting five?
Yeah, you know, I thinkit will be Christian Brown who certainly gets
the first crack at it. Imean, he's a third year player and
he played a pretty key role onthe championship team of two years ago.

(01:53):
Was was really good in the playoffs, had a couple of really nice games
obviously in the finals, and andso he has that experience of playing with
those guys. And if you lookat some of the advanced numbers, I
was peeking around at this the otherday, but but if you look at
just the two man numbers, heand Nicole Jokic have that highest net rating
of a two man duo on thatteam. And so you and that's obviously

(02:17):
a small sample size because Jokic doesn'tplay a ton with that second unit,
right, they usually stagger that sothat Jamal Murray's playing more with that group.
So so that's a limited sample size. But but I think he's going
to be the kind of player. He's a little bit better in you know,
in transition, he's better at cuttingoff the ball, so he'll give

(02:37):
you those things. His defense, you know, again, a lot of
people internally on that team believe thathe can be every bit the defender that
CACP can be. The question isgoing to be just where is his steeling
at offensively and if it's if it'snot much higher than what we've seen through
his first three years, I'm sorryfor his first two years. Then you
know, then how much is thatgoing to hurt them? How much are

(02:58):
they going to have to put otherpeople into that role, because again,
with this team, you need guysthat can hit the three, especially open
corner threes. That's what KCP didso well really the last two years,
but especially last year. So that'swhere Bron has to be in the gym
able to hit that shot on aconsistent basis. If he's going to get
that up to like, you know, thirty eight, thirty nine percent,
with all the other stuff that hegives you, you know you'll be in

(03:21):
shape. But then again, youput him in the starting lineup and the
question becomes, all right, now, what does your bench look like?
A bench that was already having issues? You know, how do you kind
of round that up? Well,Nick, doesn't this like open or should
open more opportunities with the exit ofKCP for guys like Peyton Watson. And
I know Peyton hasn't really received alot of acclaim in a lot of minutes,

(03:43):
but in the limited time he's beenplaying, and in certain moments in
the game, he showed that man, he's got a defensive progress, He's
got a lot of that energy andthat is something that coach Malane definitely needs
and always talks about when it comesto this Nuggets team. Yeah, I
think this this early, especially inthis season, the first half of it
is going to be a really interestingstudy in how how willing Michael Malone is

(04:06):
to to let some of these playersdevelop. I think that you saw a
lot at the end of the seasonabout how, you know, Calvin Booth
really thought going into that year thatit was all going to be about for
them, how they allowed these youngguys Peyton Watson, Christian Brown, Julian
Strawther, you know, even JalenPickett to it to a smaller degree,
to get in there, get thelive reps, get the opportunities to you

(04:30):
know, to grow, so thatcome playoff time, you could be considered
as part of that rotation. Andit really just never panned out for any
of those guys outside of Brown. So again, that is going to be
something that they have to continue todo. You're absolutely right, and Peyton
Watson should step into you know, should step into a far bigger role then
you mentioned off the top. I'mwith you in terms of what Julian Strather
can bring offensively, it's just youknow, we hear vance Joseph's favorite phrase

(04:54):
time on task that's what these guyshave to have for the Nuggets, Like
they need to play a lot earlyin this season, and they have to
be willing to Michael Malon haves tobe willing to say, gosh, you
know, right now, we're inwe're in sixth place in the West.
We're in seventh place in the Westthree weeks in, but hey, we're
starting to get these guys. We'restarting to see them develop a little bit
and play that long game, Ithink more than they were willing to do

(05:15):
last year. Switching gears a littlebit talking with Nick Cosmider of the Athletic
Colorado in the News sort of againas Paul fine bamb comes out and declared's
see you called it be irrelevant, which is interesting to me because if you're
talking about them on a national sportstalk show, then they can't be irrelevant.
And maybe that's a semantics game,but I would I would have I

(05:36):
would have sort of been with fineBomb if he'd said they haven't done anything
yet, but going with their irrelevant. Colorado is sort of the mecca of
college football right now. Whether they'rewinning or not, they certainly are a
destination and they certainly do get eyeballsand they soon get it. Certainly do
get attention. So irrelevant seems likethe wrong word to me. Yeah,

(05:58):
you definitely have to You have tobe more specific in how you're phrasing that
word. Now, if you're saying, are they going to be relevant to
the conference race? You know thatthat might be a thing that you could
say with you know, with alittle more clarity and and more people sort
of be with you. But Imean, this is a this is a
team that makes headlines when these guysplay video games and and critique the the

(06:20):
video game version of the offensive line, like you know, in a joking
matter that turns in the headlines likethat's what Colorado is. They are the
most they are I think probably themost like online team in college football right
now, and that hasn't changed despitedespite only winning four games a year ago.
You know, again, I getwhat what Paul's what Paul's looking at

(06:42):
here in just terms of these conferencesthat are all coming together, the amount
of competition that they're going to haveand everything else that comes with that,
not to mention the stage that thetargets that they have on their back.
It is going to be tough forthem to to catapult themselves standings wise over
what they did a year ago.But yeah, to say, I really
have nothing more to happen to dowith the nail on the headbend, Like

(07:03):
they are as relevant as it getsin terms of just people talking about you.
That that to me is always whatwhat relevant means. But when it
comes to the season, I thinkthat's what Paul was trying to get at.
It's funny that a team that isperceived to be irrelevant is still being
talked about despite going four and eight. So I'll ask you this, do

(07:24):
you think all this negative rhetoric cominginto coach Prime's second year will find a
way to maybe I don't know, light a fire on the hum and his
team where they played better this yearin the second year. Yeah, you
know, I think there's so manyguys on that team that are playing for
for a number of things. Obviously, they there's there's the pride factor that

(07:45):
you're talking about, right, Likeyou know that they know that they that
they can talk, They carry themselveswith a certain level of swagger. That's
just that's just their identity, that'swhat they are. But but yeah,
I think there's there's a humbling dealto you know, losing to the degree
that they did a year ago.I think that in itself, if that
doesn't get you going, then youknow, then you got to kind of

(08:05):
check your pulse. But the otherpart of this is you've got a lot
of guys, you know, ChadorSanders, Travis Hunter kind of go down
that list of players who believe thatthey should be you know, first round
draft picks, top ten draft picks. You know that that is where it's
It's not just going to come becauseyou have you know, you have the
attention, you have the social mediaimpressions and all the like. They got

(08:26):
to perform. You know, theyall have questions answered. You know,
can Travis Hunter stay healthy playing asmuch as he does. Can Shador Sanders
stay healthy? You know, playingthe style that he does in which he's
you know, taken a lot ofhits, avoiding the mistakes interception wise,
but perhaps being too willing to standin there and and take the number of
sacks that he does. You know, certainly NFL teams that that's something they

(08:48):
continue to go away from the cityto why you get a guy drafted in
Vote Nicks at twelfth and then haveSean Payton come out and say, you
know, sacks for us or we'reone of the biggest killers. We really
like Bo's ability to not do that. Again, that's something that Sanders has
to show. So I think it'sa collection of those motivations, neck like
what people are saying, where youfinish, and what it is that you're

(09:09):
trying to approve from an individual levelas well. Looking ahead to the Denver
Broncos is we get closer and closerto training camp, what is the what
is the outlook of the expectation?Vegas doesn't seem to think very highly of
this football team. Uh, I'veseen everybody pretty much put him in last
I saw somebody put him third inthe division the other day. But most
most people don't seem to have highexpectations. I look at this team and

(09:31):
I'm like, they can't be worsethan that were last year. Dan,
They yeah, you know, it'sit's interesting right that that it's just sort
of falling off of a cliff interms of the expectations. And you always
look at first, Okay, wherewhere does that come from? It generally
starts at the quarterback position. Yougot rid of a guy in Russell Wilson,
who has been in the league twelveyears, you know, has all

(09:52):
these prior accolades that folks in Pittsburghnow are using to kind of, you
know, get people excited about theRussell Wilson era there. But the reality
is, internally this team believed thatit can have better quarterback play than it
did a year ago. That doesn'tmean that the individual stats might be what
Russell Wilson put together, because whenyou look at it from a raw statistical

(10:13):
perspective, he had a pretty niceyear. But the reality is Sean Payton
has always viewed the quarterback's job isto get the team in the end zone.
Not to put too broad a pointson it, but he views the
job of the quarterback is performing inthe red zone, performing near the goal
line. And I'll never forget thislast year, guys, I can't remember

(10:33):
what game is, maybe after thePackers game and at that point Russell Wilson,
I think he had maybe seventeen redzone touchdowns and you know, one
interception in or maybe zero interceptions. And Sean Payton was asked, Hey,
you know, like what Russ issaid in the World on Fire, you
know, what do you think aboutthe way he's performing in the red zone,
and he said, listen, guys, we are ranked twentieth in red

(10:56):
zone efficiency, twenty second red zoneefficiency whatever. It was like, we're
not going to give out flowers toa unit that is not collectively putting the
ball in the end zone. Andso I think that's really what it comes
down to is I think this teambelieves it can be more efficient. Some
of that's going to come with thecontinuity that I think some people when you're
evaluating the team, you're just evaluatingthe roster top to bottom. That's where

(11:18):
I think some of it gets missed. They believe they're going to be better
because guys are more comfortable, theyknow what they're trying to do. You
have a little bit more of thateverybody pulling on the same rope mentality than
you did a year ago, justsimply because you're more comfortable with what you're
doing and philosophically the offense makes sensenow. It's something that the bigger picture
you're starting to see and then allthe other little stuff can fall into place.

(11:39):
That's the internal view of where theyare. But yeah, they still
have they still have big questions aboutsome of the talent. How much better
can they be at running back afterstruggling there a little bit last year?
How much does Jerry Judy's absence hurtthem? Do they have enough guys that
can kind of step into a playmakerrole? Does having a new center,
you know, kind of roll offsome of that offensive line continuity they were

(12:01):
starting to build. So and that, to say nothing of a defense is
going to feature a lot of newfaces after you lose a guy like Justin
Simmons, Kareem Jackson, Josie Jewelsfrom the real leaders on your defense.
So all the questions are valid. But but I'm with you, Ben,
I don't see this being a worstteam because I just don't think they lost
as much from a from a pureroster perspective as it's kind of I think

(12:24):
widely viewed just because of the numberof young players they have ready to play
those roles and the and then thecontinuity. I've been I've been paying that
drum for a while. I thinkit's I think it's real. I think
we saw some of that during theoff season program. But again, I
guess that could still mean you goeight to nine like you did a year
ago, and you know, youfinished last or you finish third. You
know you're you're gonna have to winsome tough, close games. But but

(12:46):
yeah, I don't see this asa you know, the four or five
win football team. Now, thebiggest topic of conversational question mark coming into
Trendy camp is a quarterback position. There are three guys currently on the roster,
and one of those guys is ZachWilson, has more playing experience than
anyone on the roster at that particularposition. Do you see a scenario where

(13:07):
the Broncos keep all three players onthe roster and all three quarterbacks I'm talking
about. Yeah, I think it'spossible, Nick, I don't think that's
the most likely scenario, just becauseit's not been Teams don't do it a
ton anymore, and it's not somethingSean Payton has done a lot, although
I do think there was a yearthere where he rostered three quarterbacks for most

(13:30):
of the season. It's possible. And the way that you would see that
is if if you're just getting kindof a you know, a high level
performance from from all three of thoseguys and in training camp and even in
the preseason, and you say, listen, I still think we have something
here with say Zach Wilson in termsof his age, you know, the
ability to kind of still work withand develop him. We want to guard

(13:52):
against, you know, having oneof our guys get get injured early in
the season. That's a scenario inwhich I think it could It could happen.
But again it comes down to that, to that roster mass, to
what else you're trying to accomplish withthe composition of the fifty three, to
whether you can say, yeah,we have this extra room, let's go
ahead and keep all three of theseguys, continue to develop them. But

(14:13):
again with with you mentioned Zach Wilsonhas more experience, and if they say,
if you have two quarterbacks you don'thave one, well, what is
if you have three? What doesthat mean? How? How how much
does that create a distraction having allthree in the building if you still always
view it as something of a close, you know, competition internally, that
would be kind of a tricky dancethat you would have to do. That's

(14:33):
why I don't think it's likely, but it definitely is possible because again they
might just see, hey, thisis this is where we think our talent
lies. We want to continue todevelop it talk a cosmier of the athletic
Nick, we'll get you out ofhere on this. Which team is more
likely to finish above five hundred?See You Football or Denver Broncos? Oh
Man put me on spot. Ithink I think the Broncos, I really

(14:54):
do. And I think the reasonis part of it's the schedule, you
know, with see You moving tothe Big twelve and all that comes with
that. You know, I thinkit's going to be a little bit of
a tougher league for them. Andagain with what we talked about with with
the Broncos, there's a possibility tome that they are better just based on
what they have around them where theymade those key additions. I didn't touch

(15:16):
on them before, but I thinkthe fact that they're going to be better
running against the run, I thinkthat's the one area you can look at
and say they've clearly gotten better asa sort of defensive front. And when
you have that component in place,a lot a lot of positive can cascade
around that because now you're taking teamsthat are what they want to do,
you're winning the ball, you know, ball control game a little bit more.

(15:37):
That's a really great question and Idon't feel super confident in that answer,
but I'll say I'll lean towards theBroncos. Nick Cosmido, the athletic.
We appreciate you as always, sir. Yeah, well thanks, I
appreciate it. Take care, takecare, Broncos Country. And I had
rolls on after this. Welcome backto it, Broncos Country tonight. Benjamin
ol Brighten, Nick Ferguson, GrantSmith here with you right now. We've

(15:58):
got time for six pack, timefor the NFL six path. I'm gonna
train a lot of beer insight andinsight information you can't find anywhere else.
No. Six the top six NFLheadlines. What quarterback Caleb Williams isn't handling
his contract negotiations with the Bears unlesshe is over the weekend. Williams said,

(16:21):
regarding his rookie deal, quote,I'm not handling that. My lawyer's
an attorney, and everybody, thehead of the Bears, everybody up there
up top is handling that. That'snot my position that I'm handling. However,
since Williams is not represented by anNFLPA certified agent, the Bears aren't
permitted to negotiate with anybody but Williamsor to an NFL sportsperson. The Bears
have total league. They're not talkingto any third parties. Read ARC call
forty eight of the Collective Bargaining Agreementyou can see that the team is not

(16:45):
allowed to do that. So someonehere is either telling an inaccurate story or
the Bears think they're negotiating with Williamswhen they aren't. The most common work
around for self represented players who aren'treally representing themselves is to create an email
address that is ostensibly themselves actually someoneelse. And this has happened before when

(17:06):
a player responded to an email froma team while the player was on the
practice field. I know, I'lltell that story sometimes. But yeah,
So players who aren't repped by anagent are not allowed to Teams have to
negotiate directly with them. Right,if it's not an NFLPA certified agent,
they have to. The team hasto negotiate direct with the players. So
what players do is they create anemail address that they say is theirs,

(17:29):
but it really isn't, and thenhave all the negotiations done through there,
and then they can come through andjust sign whatever at the end. Right,
But I know a story of howsomebody got their cover blown by replying
to an email when they were onthe practice field, and it was actually
the person who was an uncertified agentwho was negotiating on their behalf. In

(17:52):
any events, the situation isn't liningup right now because Williams is saying he's
not negotiating and the team is notallowed to negotiate with literally anyone else.
Williams is one of only five firstround selections who have not signed in the
Bears rookies report tomorrow. Is thisan issue for the Bears or Caleb Williams,
Well, I mean, right nowon this particular point, no,
it's not, because it doesn't seemas though Caleb Williams is holding out.

(18:15):
And for me, all you haveto do is look at the contract of
the player who was drafted first overalllast season, or look at the last
rookie contract of the guy who wasdrafted number one overall, and that's where
you start your negotiation, because atthat particular point, what are you negotiating?
Incentives and offset language? Pretty much? I mean that's literally all you

(18:37):
can do at that point because everythingelse is slotted right exactly. So do
you need someone certified by the NFLPAto negotiate a contract. It would help,
but you really don't need that, right And I think that's the scariest
things for an agent. Because LamarJackson, everyone thought that he was crazy
because his mom was negotiating his contract. But guess what, he still got
paid nonetheless, and he kept themindy all in the family. Yeah,

(19:02):
Max, and agent can receive isthree percent on a contract, so he
saved that three percent. Absolutely, there you go. Robbie Gould still roots
for the Niners despite a fractured relationshipwith the front office. Gold, who
is forty one aden plate since twentytwenty two, his final season with the
Niners. He wanted to stay withthe team, but they drafted Jake Moody
instead. Talks with the team sourgold, he said last week, but

(19:26):
he continues to root for his formerteammates to win it all. Could I
have gone back to San Francisco,Probably not, Gould told NBC Sports Bay
Area. I think the relationship therefrom the executives to me was definitely fractured,
not in a poor way. Ijust think negotiations all's things operated,
they take a toll on your relationships. I'll be forever thankful for what they
did for my family. Very thankfulto the York family for what they did
for six years, give me anopportunity has success and play in NFC Championships

(19:49):
and Super Bowls. Gold made onehundred and sixty one of one hundred and
eighty four regular season field goal attemptsto twenty one or two thirty extra points
with the Niners. Was perfect tonine postseason games with the team twenty one
to twenty one on the field goalsnineteen nineteen extra points, retiring from the
NFL last December after two years withoutan opportunity to kick. How has your
relationship been with former teams? Haveyou ever had sour negotiations where you're like,

(20:11):
no, I root for them anymore. No. Obviously, during any
breakup it's always top there's kind ofbitter feelings. But as their saying goes,
you know, I guess time healsall wounds that make it as though
the wounds are all taken care ofand healed perfectly. There's always going to

(20:33):
be some scars in relationship. AndI got a chance to know, you
know, Robbie, with my timewith the forty nine ers, Robbie was
caught in between the rock and ahard place. He wanted to stay in
San Francisco, but also he knewthat his family. I believe, where's
Chicago, right, So things kindof work out for him. He got
more time with his family. Butleave bet and walking away from the game
is always difficult for players because youdon't always leave the way that you want

(20:55):
to leave. Yeah. Great, totally understand that the NFL and dated the
release of injury information seventy seven yearsago today, decades before sports betting became
legalized on a widespread basis. TheNFL was sufficiently concerned about it enough to
take action. The NFL adopted arule requiring the release of information regarding player
injuries on this day in nineteen fortyseven. Then Commissioner Burt Bell announced the

(21:18):
new rule while explaining that he knowsthe names of the top gamblers in the
country. It's like it's my businessto know where those fellows are located in
who they are. My office getsdaily reports on fluctuations and betting prices.
If they fluctuate to a marked extent, we investigate called injury reports. One
more weapon we are using to thwartgamblers, and that injury reports will ensure
that the public won't be in thedark. Bell said because of their spies,

(21:41):
and the big gambling houses may knowSammy Baw is hurt and probably won't
be at his best if he playsat all, the public won't know.
The public may fall for prices thatseem good but aren't because of Ball's injury.
Obviously, the dynamics have changed dramaticallysince then, with the NFL basically
now aligned with the big gambling housesand owners allowed to own up a five
percent of a stake in a companythat operates a supports book, But concerns
remain inside information exists, injury reportsaren't nearly thorough. It up to prevent

(22:04):
someone from misusing knowledge that is widelyknown, and it creates an opportunity for
players, coaches, and anywhere elsewith access to that to leverage it for
their own gain or get out ofdebt. The NFL doesn't seem nearly as
concerned about it as it should be, certainly not as much as Belle was
more than three quarters of a centuryago. Is this just a quirk that
or do you guys care about theinjury reports in this regard do you care

(22:26):
about gambling enough in this regard oris this just just a me thing?
Well it was more of an emphasisnow than it was before. Since it's
come up, might as well saylegalize. But yeah, you do as
a player, because you get thereport, you know who is probable,
doubtful out and they tell you wherethe injury is. Right, So but

(22:48):
get this got report, they giveit to you, so you walk into
the game with this information. Nowsomeone can say, well, Ben Nick,
what are you gonna do with thisinformation? I'm going to play the
game the way that it's been talkedto me to play, and thank you
for the update on said injury.I know what's ankle and I know,
hey it's not my fault and somethinghappened. You told me what was going
on. All right, I'm goingto go lay a huge wager over up,

(23:11):
Just kidding, move over. CarlLewis at the home run derby the
National Anthem was saying, by GrammyAward winner Ingrid Andres, how are we
pronouncing this name? I don't evenknow that it's a Grammy arger. I
don't even know what it is.Uh, but she may have set a
new bar for futility in making CarlLewis look like Marvin Gay. Oh the

(23:34):
re but was We're so gay?Stream gets red setting up our ears on
fire right there with uh that renditionof the Star Spangled batter Why is it

(23:59):
so difficult for some people to sing? This is a record This is a
Carl Lewis, This is a trackstar trying to sing. This is a
recording artist who can't get it?Well, come on, man, First
of all, being in a publicvenue with thousands, in this case,
millions of eyes on you, youhave to sing a very iconic song.
But it's not. But it's notlive, you know how it is?
They record that hours before and thenthey lip sync it during the whoa whoa

(24:22):
No, no, no, no, I've done Broncos games before, we
watched it. This is what theydo with the Broncos game. No,
what they do. The person goesout there long before the game, they
perform and make sure they get theaudio checks, and then they go out
there and they sing it live live. It's not recorded audio. It is
live. Well, I'm not gonnaa lot of listeners, dude. So

(24:44):
also, I deliberately left out yournamesake, Free ferg who was horrendous and
singing the national anthem as well. You don't have to worry about Fergie Ferg
anymore. It's like Dan Olowski doesn'thave to worry about being the only quarterback
to scramble out the bag of itends because guess what he was a pass
by Jimmy Garoppolos. So the torchhas been passed in this case, fair

(25:06):
enough. Mark Sanchez will also alwaysbe bought fumble though. Five Miami Dolphins
are assessing significant damage to hard RockStadium after the soccer fiasco. I don't
know if you guys saw this, but hard Rock Stadium suffered significant damage during
a security breach before the COPA AmericaFinal in Miami on Sunday night. The
Dolphins are still assessing the extent ofthe vandalism to the stadium. A statement

(25:26):
from officials at hard Rock Stadium seton ruly fans were fighting police officers,
breaking down walls and barricades, vandalizingthe stadium, causing significant damage to the
property. Photos of the entrance tothe seventy two Club the premium seating section
of the stadium show an escalator destroyedand covered in glass and debris. It's
not publicly known which other areas ofthe stadium were damaged or how much damage
was done. Stadium could require astructural assessment depending on what officials find.

(25:51):
The next event at the stadium isa Dolphins August third training camp practice.
Fans without tickets stormed the entry gamesbefore Columbia played Argentina, causing it eighty
two minute delay to the start ofthe match. Other fans were seen on
phone and video crawling through the ventilationsystem to access to the seating areas.
Hard Rock is one of the hostsites for the twenty twenty six World cop

(26:11):
raising concerns about just how ready theUS is to host one of the world's
biggest sporting events. So. Idon't know if you guys saw this,
but there were squatters. People wouldgo sit in seats that other people take
thousands of dollars Frum refused to leave, and there wasn't enough security to get
them to leave. There were peoplethat couldn't get to their seats that they
paid thousands of dollars. Frump. This was the couple miracles, an abject
disaster, and this stadium could bean issue. Really all this wait.

(26:32):
First of all, I've told peoplebefore about soccer matches. They complain about,
you know, NBA basketball games andNFL games. No, man,
those soccer fans are committed. Thefact that Silm was crawling through the been
a lace system. I'm like,is this the scene of Martin Lawrence and
Blue Streak? As I thought Iwas watching John McClain go after you know,

(26:53):
Hans Gruber for a minute there,I didn't know. I didn't know
what was going on. And Okay, usually there's always stadium operations where you
kind of look and evaluate things ofwhat could happen in the worst possible way
with security for them not to haveenough security to get people squatters out of
the seats and allow themselves to bebum rust like that. So for me,

(27:18):
I think more of a security issuethan anything else. First, not
too six well, guys. ParamountPictures is finally doing it, a film
based on an offensive lineman turned malemodel. Based on Matthew Schneier's twenty nineteen
New York Magazine article, the filmfollows an offensive lineman who, after seeing

(27:41):
a career ending injury cut his professionalfootball dreams short fine's unexpected fame and fortune
in the world of brawny male modelingTodd Gardner will produce Scoop Wasserstein as well.
Schneier's article explores the rise and successof IMG's Real Life Models BRAAD division,
which focuses on plus of male models, groundbreaking initiative and industry traditionally dominated

(28:03):
by slimmer figures. Zach Miko wasthe division's first recruit and highlights his journey
from being mistaken for an electrician UHto becoming a sought after model earning six
figures. Others include John Toff fromthe Philadelphia Eagles in that as well.
The writer Scotty Landis wrote The Machine, which is comedy based on Bert Kreischer,

(28:30):
who is loosely the the inspiration forVan Wilder Believe it or not?
So Uh? The movie it's calledThick thhi cc thick Uh? Are we
gonna watch this? Do we careabout? An offensive lineman tered male modeling
as a comedy movie that's coming out? And what could they do to maybe

(28:53):
maybe capture immortalize on film the strugglesof a young defensive back instead, You're
right, And I guess if youcan parade guys around and it's kind of
chisel chests and six packs and magicMike, Why not this right, everyone's
gotta live for the heavy show.Yes, everyone's gotta live. I mean
show that. Hey, listen, everybody is great. And when I when

(29:15):
I when I say everybody, I'mincluding everybody and every physical body. But
okay, but the fact that thisis being a comedy in my work.
Now, if you tell me likeJack Black is in the movie, or
comedian Gary Owens makes a cameo, then I'm like, you know what,
I might check it out, butyou have it has to be really funny.

(29:37):
No word yet on whether Kevin Jameswill star. Jack Black might be
a little too old, but hewould be would be great. Oh we
be too old an offensive lineman.I'm Jack Black's like sixty. Yeah.
But but you just said that itis about like male strippers, right,
you know it's about an offensive linemanNFL offensive lineman turns to male at his

(29:59):
career gets cut short middle of hiscareer. So he said his like twenties
and thirties. Okay, But onceagain, there could be different type of
age groups and body types and themails should join. Right. If there's
no strippers here, where are wegetting strippers? Where did strippers come from?
I thought you said this is meldancer, royal modeling, male model.
Well somehow it just trickles over, yes either way to get those guys

(30:26):
in there as male models. Thenstill the movie still would be funny.
I mean, I'm all for JackFlack, you know, doing a magic
mic version of his own that's said, yes, this is not a b
is just like this is supposed tobe about guys with larger body types and
he turns to male modeling or whatever. And movie's called Thick, which I
think is a hilarious title. Butuh, we'll see, Uh, we'll
see how that that ultimately pans out. Ka Wait is going to turn over

(30:48):

the Republican National Convention for President DonaldTrump and current Republican nominee. He is
expected to appear and be speaking,so you guys want to stay tuned for
that. Uh here at the topof the hour. That will be uh
