Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, do it Broncos Country tonight. But with all Brian Nick, Ferguson,
Grant Smith, I'm gonna go straight out to the Kiaway
Common Spirital Upline and bring on our good friend Samantha Pravadismanthad.
He's good to hear your voice again.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Thank you so much for having me back. I'm really
excited to hear your voice as well.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah, well, I need a little assistance. I've been muddling
through my fantasy football year this year because I had
the number one overall pick and I took Christian McCaffrey
like an idiot. But he's coming back soon. But I've
been muddling through to a five hundred record. Picked up
a few along the way, obviously, Godwin, you know that
that hurt with him going down. But I did pick
up Cedric Tillman, So I'm I'm doing okay there. But

(00:36):
is there anybody out there I should have my eye
on that may be sitting out there that's primed for
a second half of the season surge?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Oh sure? So yeah, rip to anyone who did have
Christian McCaffrey. I know that was a really hard blow
for a lot of people, but hopefully you've got Jordan
Mason off of the waiver wire a number of guys
you mentioned. Cedric Tillman, he is a guy that I
definitely think could be in the four A big week
this week versus the Chargers. He's consensus drinks as the

(01:04):
wide receiver thirty four fantastic the last two weeks, ninety
nine yards and two touchdowns against the Ravens, and like
I said, good matchup this week, so I really like him.
Cam Coleman might be floating around on some people's waiver
wires too. He's someone that has slowly started to get
a little bit more attrapped double digit points in three
of the last four games coming off the big game
in Seattle, and they face Miami, which I believe has

(01:27):
one of the highest point totals of the week. But
definitely two guys from the wide receiver side that you
could get some help from. Chase Brown is someone who
I think has just been kind of going under the radar,
but we've got back mouthed doubtful for this week, and
he's got double digit fantasy points in four of the
last five games with face of Raiders, So he's someone
that I think could end up having a big week

(01:50):
on the Titans. That there said, it's a lot of
shake ups, right, you know the guys that I think
we've really relied on, guys like Mark Andrews. He has
been coming back and it has been really really good
of late. But you know, those first two weeks are
pretty brutal and you probably were still starting in those
first few weeks. So if you do need some tight
end reinforcements, if you have Kittle or whatever your tight
end situation is. T J Howkinson did come off of

(02:12):
IR this week, so I think that he could be
a good start right out of the gate, as like
Tucker Craft, Cole Comment and Tasing Hill. Even Taping Hill.
I think he's unpredictable, but it's a good matchup against
the Panthers. So I think those are guys that you
could kind of potentially plug and play. I mean, Tucker
Craft is tight end two behind Kittle in the last
five weeks, and Commit is tight end three in that

(02:35):
same stand So definitely some guys that have come through
in a pinch. And then at quarterback we've got Bonix
who is he sent to sprink as DQB fourteen He's
shooting nine through eight weeks, so it's just been really
really lovely to watch way out performing expectations, obviously coming
off a great game against my lowly Panthers, but he's

(02:55):
still is going to be a very good matchup against
Baltimore's secondary for giving up the third most and a
few points to quarterbacks of this year. So great guy
to be to replacement for Brock Purty, who's also been
very good this year. Baker Mayfield potentially another possible plug
in type guy for a bye week. He's QB two
behind only Lamar Jackson in the same consistency, has only

(03:17):
one game below the twenty points threshold in this weird
QB landscape. You know, he's definitely startable as a QB
one week, two weeks, and then if you are in
a super deep weak and are desperate for a plug in,
I would say Joe Blackow since as it's rings as
QB twenty one has a decent matchup in Minnesota this week.
Fifteen plus fantasy points in the three games people played
this year. Not stellar, but will at least get you

(03:40):
some points in that position if you're really really deperate, Well,
it's a.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Math when you look at CJ. Stroud, who played the
other night. Coming into this season, most fantasy owners thought
that he was going to have a breakout sophomore season
based on what happened in his first year. So based
on what he's done thus far, would you encourage some
of those fantasy owners that still hasn't been the starter

(04:03):
or as their backup quarterback to stay with him, be
patient or is it time to kind of part ways
with straw.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yeah, it's definitely a tough situation. He was drafted as
the QB sixth overall back in fantasy draft time, and
through eight weeks we've got to be sixteen, but to
be twenty two on a per game basis, so it's
it's definitely not with us to expectations and the sophomore
month is real and they just come off of playing
a tough road game against the Jets. You have a

(04:32):
very strong secondary, So three games with more than one
passing touchdown only one in the fast last five weeks,
so already has note almost as many interceptions and stack
as he did in his rookie campaign. So it's definitely
a little bit off expectations. That said, like I said,
it's coming off of a very tough week, So I'm
not sure that I would. I mean, somedays I have

(04:55):
to start him and I don't have better options. It's
not just I'm not going to start Joe Baco over
him potentially, but you know, if you do have better options,
did you have one of those guys at the high
upside guy? Like I mean, obviously this is this is
after the facts that you know Baker Mayfield would have
potentially been ranked higher this week than Chad, which is

(05:15):
quite an indictment on where he.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Kind of was drafted well, Samantha, speaking of limited options,
I have a tough bye week at my running back position,
but I think I'm still in pretty good shape. I've
got three players for you. I can only start two
of them. We've got Raheem Moster, Bucky Irving, and Alexander
Madison from the Raiders. Which two of those three would
you start?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I think I'm being Irving, though, I do have to
say it is a tougher matchup against Kasey, who have
had a very tough run defense. And that said, I
really like the way that he's been trending upwards in
terms of snap talents and carries and all that He's
really been cannibalizing all of that time from the shad life.
He's expected to be more of the number one guy

(06:01):
so right now. Unfortunately their timeshare makes it such that
there neither of them are really sexy starts, but I
would say they're high end. Are the three is kind
of in that like Tank Big the potentially Ramondre Stephenson's tier,
and I probably would feel the most comfortable starting him
in terms of like situation at this point.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Talking with some maths Ravidio, it's meant the NFL on
Twitter SMA Jonathan Brooks has missed the large portion of
the whole part of the season thus far due to injury.
Is there any chance we could see him in the
second half? And is he worth picking up and stashing
on my bench?

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, I definitely think that. It's been hard to read, right,
it's been like, uh, I thought we were going to
see him a lot rareism this. It's potentially we could
see him very very soon. Now that said, SCHUPA, Hubbard
has been really at least a good plug in type guy. So,
I mean it's hard to imagine that any like Panthers
player ends up on the winners call him of anything

(06:58):
but certainly out reform sex sectation. So hopefully if you
did have Brooks, you did pick up super Hubbard as
a quote unquote handcuff. But yeah, I mean, it's not
a five game streak last week of at least ten
Fantasy points in a row could be attributed to game
scripts a lot of times. I mean, he's for run
game is. It's going to suffer a little bit when
you're trailing in all these games. But I think that

(07:21):
at least you know they do have a viable backup
that you could start. And like I said, kind of
in that same range that with Madison and Madison and
Irving and Taints, Sakady and stuff that's year.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Is this a week for those fantasy owners who have
not started Culton sudden all week to start him against
a much maligned Baltimore Ravens defense.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I actually think he could be a good start this week.
I'm putting in that wide receiver three here. He is
the wide receiver forty run through eight weeks. But he's
had his good week and bad weeks. But I think
his performance is just going to benefit more and more
with Nick's kind of performance going up as well. And
like you said, it is a really really good matchup
against the Ravens two secondary. It's just been torched allowing

(08:09):
the second most fantasy points two wide receivers as this year.
He's confessed his ranks with that wide receiver twenty eight range,
and the Ravens have given up also the most touchdowns
too wide receivers the whole season, So his anytime touchdown
by the way, it's plus two thirty five on drafting,
So worth checking out as you'd let to put a
few hennings on the game.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I need to fill in defense this week. Anything jumping
out at you that might be available. Althoughy over, while sure.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I think that the Chargers in one league is definitely
a good matchup against Cleveland's offense and has been struggling.
I think like anyone that's playing the Panthers every week,
is is definitely worth streaming. So the Saints are all
the way top top two, top three option of this week.
I mean a number of these changes, it's the Commander

(09:00):
definitely look like a good potential option if you have
like the forty nine ers and you need to pick
someone up. Yeah, I mean, I'm just I'm just looking
at a lot of these like point Toro and things
like that, But yeah, I think, like if you're looking
for someone, like I said the Chargers were available for
me saying I think those would be my top two
choices for streaking.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Defenses, switching gears a little bit. Any props you like
this weekend? Sure?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
So someone that I really like this weekend is Josh
down playing these Vikings over five and a half receptions.
But it's minus one fifty, so it's a little high.
But I have some other options potentially, but I just
want to say he's coming off of an absolute monster
game in Houston where he scored since to before he's
down to averaging eight point four targets per game, and

(09:45):
he has at least nine catches in the three game
Blacko has played in. Vikings are currently allowing the most
Fantasy points two wide receivers and the second most receptions
to receivers this year. So if you're not a fan
of those negative odds and you have an thing down
to my crush this number like I do, you can
go seven plus catches plus one twenty five eight plus
is plus two twenty five nine plus is plus four hundred,

(10:09):
and ten plus is plus seven hundred. So I really
like looking at that one as a potential ladder vent
and I think josh Hawn's has a very, very promising future.
It will be.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
You know, there's a guy who I've been looking at
for the past couple of weeks, and is Ricky Pursall
for the San Francisco forty nine ers. I know he's
coming back from that suffering that gunshot wound. Luckily he's okay,
but would you suggest that fantasy owners kind of pick
him up and stash him? And the only reason I'm
asking this question because when you look at the y

(10:40):
receivers for the San Francisco forty nine ers, they have
a couple of injuries. So I'm wondering at some point
where the connection between Pearsall and Purty actually start to
pick up.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Sure, I mean, he's obviously coming off of a terrible incident,
and he's a rookie, so we have to have patient
for the games when we played two games really, so
I think like coming off this side, he's going to
get the Buccaneers to have a pretty permeable pass defense,
So I think that that could be a nice matchup
for him. I don't know if it's starting him at

(11:11):
this point, But like you said, I think he's a
very good stash candidate for the bench. Like you said,
they've got they've got a lot of injuries to bring
it at. You obviously out for the rest of the season,
which is a huge broat to their wide receiving corps,
and then we've got Christian McCaffrey hopefully coming back. But
I think that, you know, the beginning of the season
has definitely made me and some other fantasy managers really

(11:34):
worry about his long time, long term sort of availability.
So if he potentially ends up missing any more time,
hope that's not true for Ben's fantasy team, but Ricky's
parasaut could definitely end up getting the more targets on
that depth chart. So I think he is a good
stash candidate, and you know, the forty nine ers offense
offers a lot of upside, So I really do like

(11:57):
him as a potential candidate.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
If you have played some more talk with Samantha Pavid
Samantha NFL on Twitter's meta, I picked up Cedar Tillman
and then like an idiot, left him on my bench
this past week. Any other performances we see like that
out of him, that will make him viable down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Yeah, I mean I think that the quarterback potentially could
increase his potential target share, and we've got Amari Cooper gone,
so I think he's a guy that is definitely on
the rise. I wouldn't kick myself. I mean, it's always
it always hurts to leave a guy on your bench
that scores like twenty points. I left Josh Down to

(12:35):
my bench last week, so I know the feeling. But
at the same time, I like to remind myself that
A that means that I have that guy, and B
that means no one else was able to have the
score it against me. So even though sometimes hurts when
you know your bench players maybe outperform someone that you
started in your lineup, it's not the end of the world.
And I definitely would keep him around because I really

(12:56):
do like his outside as a potential number one time
on this rounds defense even offense, even if it's not
exactly a super juggernaut in in that field.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
I just went and picked him up on my way
for wire. You mentioned Josh Downs earlier, the player prop
on five plus catches. Any other player props that are
catching your eye?

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah, so Davone h Han at the sales over eighty
nine and a half screenage yards. That's minus one fifteen
on draftings. Now this is a sick number, I understand,
but I think of all of the guys that seemed
to benefit the most from tuat tongue of Iloa returning
last week, probably ah Han. And he's the guy that
was drafted very high, and like a number of guys

(13:41):
in this Miami offense, I mean, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen
Waddell have been two of the most disappointing guys of
the season. And it's not their fault. It's just it's
really tough to be catching passes from that quarterback crew.
But now that tongue of Milo is back for the
foreseeable future, I think it's wheeled up for Ahn and
I love that guy. I think he won a lot

(14:03):
of people's league last year. He would have surpassed this
number in every game Tua has played this season, averaging
one hundred and fifteen stringage yards a lifetime against the
Bills and had one hundred and sixty five scrimage yards
in Week two against the Bill. So that's another ladder
back candidate. That is something that I just love to do.
So if you think he's going to just smash that,

(14:25):
you know you can do one point five yards plus
two forty five, one fifty yards just plus five fifty
and it goes on. So go crazy with that one.
I think Zavon Chen is an absolute star this week
and it's a it's a pretty decent matchup for him.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
I've got a channel my fantasy team. I'm ready for
any last minute words of advice, Samantha.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Well, maybe one last thing to consider. I would take
a look at Travis King.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Now.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
I think he's prow for for the most part off
the board right now because he is a game time decision,
but given the hamstring injury in the effectiveness of Tank
big feat in the last few weeks, I would love
to take a look at his unders. So you know,
if Sunday, if you just have them to be hanging around,
you see that he's active, I would certainly take a
look at getting some of the unders for him. Eagles

(15:09):
Are's top six run defense against fantasy running backs have
only allowed a running back touchdown twice all year, So
definitely a guy that I am stating this week, So
I would keep an eye on him and the injury
report as well.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Samantha Bravidi at Samantha NFL. Looking forward to catch up
with you again here soon.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Good luck yep, absolutely Smith. Ravidi always loved the fantasy
advice and the draft prof stuff. She had an incredible
hit rate on those props last year. I can't we
were keeping track. At one point she was hitting on
like eighty two percent of her props.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
It was insane.
