Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to it Broncos Country Tonight. Benjamin Albright, Grit.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Smith Man, the Myth, the Mustache, and you guys got
to come down there and join us at Mile Post
zero on Sunday, Orange and Blue Brunch gonna be a
lot of fun. We've been doing the Orange Blue Brunch
presented by Don Julio quite a bit and we we're
gonna have.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Good time down there.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
The jumbo tron might be a little bundle up type weather,
but we're gonna root on the Broncos against Kansas City
Chiefs down there. With that, we'll go right out to
the Ka cous brol hotline and bring on our guy,
Alex Gold.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Alex, how you do it this evening? I'm good man.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Good to be all with you guys again.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yeah, man, it's good to hear your voice.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Got the the annual Broncos trip to Arrowhead. It has
not been a productive win for the Denver Broncos in
recent years. Finally got to win over the Chiefs here
in Denver last year, but the streak at Arrowhead continues
and going up against the buzz saw that is the
eight and Kansas City Chiefs. Despite the fact that they've
had attrition and injury and everything else. The receiving corps

(00:57):
Pat Hoolmes not playing up to his left hold.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
The Chiefs just keep hold right alone.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
That's been the thing, man. I mean you said it
there that there's so many reasons why if you just
you know, looked at a box score of Mahomes stats
and and some other players, you'd say, Okay, you know
this is out of a football team. How are they
getting this done? But that's really when the story for
the last calendar year, that game after game games are
a little bit closer than maybe they should be. They

(01:23):
make some mistakes, and yet when they have to have
that particular play, whether it's Mahomes using his legs to
extend a play for a first down or a touchdown,
or that gold line stand that they had against the
Raiders a couple of weeks ago, or a Sunday night
football game against Atlanta on a fourth down, they seemingly
make the plays that you have to make in crunch time.
And I guess that's a testament to Andy Reid and

(01:44):
this team being in these big spots time and time
again and not being phased.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
By the moment.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
But every game we kind of joke here and that
is it's the same. It's like the same thing over
and over that they find a way to win. But
if they're all close, and there's definitely moments where the
fan base gets antsy and upset, and yet the end
result is still one that everybody ends up being happy with.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, it's it's interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Kansas City is still dominant on third down, dominant in
the fourth quarter. And as I was watching the game
against Tampa UH and they go for the extra point,
I just sat there shaking my head, like, oh no,
what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
What are you doing here? You're gonna give him a
fourth quarter? What are you doing here?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
And if you don't play to cut the throat, you
don't play to win against Kansas City, well you're going
to wind up losing.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
And that that appeared to be what happened there in UH.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
In Tampa, the Chiefs have added a running back. They've
used him a little bit this year, samaj p Ran,
a guy we know here pretty well in Denver. What
what has been his role in that offense thus far?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Honestly, I think less than people thought it would be.
And maybe that's because of Kareem Hut frankly, and the
addition of him has been far more than anybody could
have ever imagined. They brought in Samaj p Ryan, peoplere
hid it because I'll tell you, I mean, he was
one of the best receiving running backs in football a
season ago, for you guys, and so people thought that
would be the role he would have here. That Jack McKinnon,

(02:59):
who is a chief running back here for a couple
of years, who was really vital on third downs and
passing situations. But okay, there there's a replacement, and that's
really not what it's been at all. He's played very little,
hasn't put up any any numbers really for Kansas City
this year, and I think so much of that is
really just because Kareem Hunt first onto the scene, even
with the Checko injury, and this has been more of

(03:19):
a run oriented offense than it has been. There's a
lot of reasons for that. And you know, you mentioned
Patrick Mahomes and the numbers haven't been there this year.
But also you know, Kareem Munt's played great. You know,
he's been the second best running back in terms of
success rate in a couple different metrics, and they're running
them into the ground at this point because they believe
they'll get to check go back later in the year,

(03:40):
maybe later this month, and that they can kind of
slow up these carries. So really the backfield is going
to be Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco. Even Clyde Edwards Hilaire,
who is still with this organization, who started the season
on the pup list. He's been you know, activated from
the pup list, but he hasn't been on an active roster,
the game day roster, I should say, the last couple
of weeks. So it's been more about Hunt and p

(04:02):
Ryan's got a few steps pass protection type of stuff,
but really hasn't been the factor people thought.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, I think Dynasty owners find it Clyde Edwards hilarious
that he has not been able to get in there
so far. So Alex Gold at Alice Gold on Twitter,
host Cody and Gold on the Fan ninety sixty five. Alex,
you know, how do teams view this Denver Broncos team
helmed by bon Nicks. You know, it's it's been a
roller coaster ride for the Broncos thus far this season.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
What is the external view of this team?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
So we talked a ton about that today here locally
on our show in Boone Nicks. I think, you know,
people were pleasantly surprised. I say pleasantly. Maybe they were
pleasantly in Kansas City, but I was certainly surprised with
the stat that stood out that Lamar Jackson and bone
Nicks almost have the same amount of explosive plays over
twenty yards. That was a stunner, you know, and I
think that's a testament to what Sean Payne's been able

(04:55):
to do. I'm sure you guys talk all the time
about how similar some of the things that they're trying
to do they did with Drew Brees out in New Orleans,
obviously with Sean Payton. And at the same time, the
Chiefs have played you know, Joe Burra already this year
in Lamar Jackson, and they faced her cousins already and
Herbert and so the quality quarterback wise, they've certainly seen
better quarterbacks than bow Knicks. But I think people have

(05:15):
been looking at the Broncos in terms of the record
and they've definitely exceeded expectation. But looking further into it,
I think there's a lot of Chief fans that, if
anything might be a little concerned that they're overlooking Denver
ahead of the Bills game next week. I don't think
the team is. Maybe fans are a little bit that,
you know, the Broncos win wise other than Tampa, you know,

(05:37):
who have they beat. You know, that's kind of what
fans have said here, you know, New Orleans and Carolina.
Nobody's really taken that all that seriously. So it's kind
of a mixed bag. Not a threat in terms of
the division, if that's what you mean, but also probably
not a pushover after what happened last year. We're Chief fans,
and the Chiefs were embarrassed frankly about the game you reference,
which was there in Denver where we're out of nowhere

(05:57):
really for Chief fans. The Broncos found a way to
get a win.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Kyle with Alex Gold and Alex Gold on Twitter. Yeah,
that was one of the things.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I mean for Broncos fans, getting that that sort of
monkey off their back last year with the streak to
Kansas City and of course the street to the Raiders
that they had for quite some time, both just straight
lost streets for quite some time, has been refreshing the
team identity This year seems to be on defense this
It has been quite a good defensive unit this year,
despite you know, Baltimore getting the better of them this

(06:25):
past week with you know, PJ Lock the safety out.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
But I think I think that's the idea of to
thing that on it and I.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Think a lot of Broncos fans look at this as hey,
you know, Kansas City has not been a great offensive
team this year, maybe this defense can can set this
offense up because the offense has been highly sporadic. They
do have the explosive plays, but there's a lot of
inconsistency with it. You're gonna see bon Nicks makes some
great though, You're gonna see him make some great runs,
and you can see him make some them like what
was that type plays well?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
And then you know one thing that we discussed today
that I think will be interesting matchup wise, and we
didn't realize looking deeper into the numbers within for at
least in some of the face you know, past sets,
the Broncos offensive line is number two in football and
a couple of different metrics and of the grays that
are out there, and so we're curious here to see
what this defensive front can do, like defensively, they've been

(07:13):
very good. See Spagnola, the chief defensive coordinator, will manufacture
blitzes and I have no doubt that'll work. But can
they get pressure when they don't blitz And I'm curious
to see how this front does against the Broncos offensive live.
Based off of the metrics we look today, at least
this will be the best goal line the Chiefs have
faced this year. Yeah, they face the Niners where Trem Williams,
of course, the future Hall of Famer, was playing left tackle.

(07:35):
But I'm curious to see can they get to bow
Nicks enough. And you know, I'm not as worried about
the explosive plays, even though that something Nix has done well.
I think Chiefs fans are feeling pretty good about trit
McDuffie's shutting that angle down. But short intermedia passing, the
Chiefs have been awful against tight ends and so I'm
not gonna be surprised one bit if you guys there
have some success get in the ball to the tight

(07:55):
ends again. And Chie's been one of the worst teams
against tight ends and it has important him yet, but
that will definitely be an area. I'm assuming that the
Broncos are going to try to expose and if the
Chiefs can't get pressure, that might be there throughout much
of the contest.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Well, Broncos fans certainly familiar with looking bad against tight
ends and go can go back to last year's game
at Arrowhead where Travis Kelcey absolutely roasted them. So how
has de Hop acclimated to that team?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
It's honestly been remarkable how quickly.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
I mean, you know, you get.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
An nd season acquisition, even a veteran you're still wondering,
you know, between locker room, between actually integrating in the
system and Week one against the Raiders. His first game
he had just two catches twenty eight steps or so,
and that was even a pretty quick uptick. And then
last week we all saw it against Tampa Bay. I mean,
he was sensational, and yet the routes that he's running

(08:42):
are not complex routes yet, like he doesn't have the
full grasp of the playbook. And yet he had eight
catches eighty six yards and two touchdowns. And that catch
he made in triple coverage is simply a catch. They
have not had a receiver cable of making probably since
Tyreek Hill when he was with this organization. Yes, Travis
Kelcey is incredible, but that's not you know, Roperl wide receiver.
You're not seeing those catches. So Fansier fired up, the

(09:03):
organizations fired up that the relationship between Mahomes and Hopkins
looks like it's weeks ahead of schedule. It's not months.
I had a schedule. So you know, maybe expectations are
going to get a little out of whack. I don't
suddenly think he's gonna get one hundred and thirty yards
this week or something against Denver. But man, that that connection.
Fansier are pumped that they got a number one receiver.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Again tie with Alex Gold at Alex Gold on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Some speculation, even though he's the leading receiver, it's.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Been that Travis Kelcey has lost a step. We all
see how father Tim remains undefeated, and you know how
pardon the pun in this case, the swiftly that can
that can occur.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
What can you tell us about Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Has he really lost a step or or is he
still the same dominant guy he always was.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Hey, I'm here for the swift puns. No no problem
with that whatsoever. Yeah, I mean early in the season.
That was a conversation. Even here people don't want to
have it, but it was to me a conversation that
needed to happen. And then what happened was Rashi writes
got hurt. And if you go and look at the numbers,
I think it's the last five games now, and it's
not a coincidence that the targets are up for Travis Kelcey.
I think what was happening early on in the season

(10:09):
a lot of the underneath routes we're going to Rashi
Rice and teams are still double teaming Travis Kelcey and Frankly.
Rice was getting to those spots quicker, and he learned
a lot from Travis Kelcey on how to settle down
in the zone at times and find the open space.
Well without Rice, Kelsey's back to being that guy. I mean,
the guy had sixteen targets. Yes, it's an overtime game,
but he had sixteen targets on Monday. I think in

(10:31):
the Raiders game he had twelve or thirteen targets. He's
back to himself. I think my concern Pree will disagree
with me in Kansas City is that I don't think
I want him getting sixteen targets man during the regular
season much, you know, I want to make sure he's
available in the postseason. We saw him look like a
Hall of Fame tight end again last year during the postseason,
not in the regular season when he was a little

(10:52):
banged up.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
So no, I mean, I don't.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Think he's lost as big as a step as people think,
but I am a little concerned that they're utilizing him
so much. Watch maybe this is where DeAndre Hopkins is
going to help him out a little bit too. Juju
Smith Schuster probably not going to be available this Sunday
against Denver, but he'll be back very soon from a
hamstring injury. So I actually think Travis talent wise, it's
all still there, guys, But I do worry about the

(11:14):
production in terms of overuse.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yeah, it makes it makes sense. It's talk with Alex Gold.
How many more years is Andy Reid going to do this?

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Fancier are sick of that conversation because Mike Florio has
driven it, and Mike Florio Pro Football Talk not a
popular guy in Kansas City because for the last three years,
right around the Super Bowl, uh, that column has been
written and speculating and he's just been wrong, man, like
you've just been wrong. And he just signed an extension again.

(11:46):
And obviously, yes, at some point he's going to hang
it up. As long as he is healthy, as long
as he can physically do the job. He's not stepping
away guys like he's not. And why would you if
you're Andy you got he got a guy you've waited
your whole career for, and Atrialalds your quarterback. And so
he is younger still than Belichick and Pete Carroll when
everybody nobody was talking about those guys retiring, and look

(12:08):
each one of the one it one kind of retired,
one maybe got forced out more than the other. We'll
see if Belichick gets back to coaching. So I think
for some people they just look at Andy Reid and
they say, hey, maybe you know, not as healthy as
these other guys, but as long as he is healthy
and by all accounts from truly you know, being able
to coach. Standpoint, he is not anytime soon. I mean,
I think if you gave me the over under and

(12:30):
said four, I take the over, still, I'm.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
With you there.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
That was one of the things I always find that
and You're right about Florio driving that there were the
air quotes, rumors and all that kind of stuff, and
I openly mock Dad laughed at that, I think the
last cycle or whatever. But just curious as to what
the vibe is as far as Andy and where he's
at with it, you know, going forward of the one
of the best coaches of games ever seen and certainly
a treat that you guys have been able to have him.
All Right, Alex, as we look forward to this game

(12:55):
on Sunday, what can the Broncos fans expect and what's
your prediction?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, look, I do think this will be a close game.
I mean, the Chiefs playing close games all the time.
I would be stunned if this ends up not being
competitive in the second half and it's just a boat
race or something like that. It's just not how the
Chiefs play because of the defense. They sometimes do play
a little more conservative in the second half offensively, and
that was what was unique about Monday night. They had

(13:20):
to be a little more aggressive based off of the
Bucks having some success. So I think a close game,
a little bit lower scoring in the totals forty one
and a half. I believe the score I gave on
our social media today it was something like twenty three
seventeen Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Well, looking forward to the Broncos score seventeen points. That'll
be a tree for us, Alex. We certainly appreciate having
you on the inside. Look forward to talking to you
again here in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Hey, thanks guys.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Absolutely Alex Gold that Alex Gold on Twitter host to
Cody A. Gold always loved talking to him at Kansas
City Chiefs and can get a chance to catch up.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
But I think he's right.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
I do think this would be a close game, and
if the Broncos can play, you know, I can keep
it close and play it close and play miss free football.
I think you have a bit of a chance down
the stretch. You've got a defense with an ability to
turn it over. You got a Kansas City offense that
has turned it over at times this year. I don't
I don't see why you immediately discount anything that that

(14:16):
the Broncos do or count them out. You just got
to keep it close, and that includes not chasing points
early every fourth down. It's it's playing smart football. So
you've just you've just got to play smart football in
order to in order to make that work, and so
you know, I think, uh, I think if you're a
Broncos fan, I understand sort of the city wide optimism

(14:36):
that's been out there this week, even if you're coming
off of a drubbing at the hands of the Ravens,
if there's still a palpable sense of optimism amongst Broncos fans.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
As I'm out amongst the.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Public and I kind of ask people wherever I go,
whether it's a coffee shop or you know, getting a
burger or whatever, it's.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Just wild the difference and that optimism coming off a
thirty one point loss this year and last year we
had no optimism going to.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah, you'd had games where you'd lose by a score
and you always suck again. You know, it's funny how
it's just funny the things that make people optimistic or
what what drives those kinds of senses of optimism. I
think it's, uh, you know, I think it's Sean Bayton
and his confidence in his quarterback and they're, you know,
they're kind of confidence in that going forward.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
I think the fans are you know, buying into that
so believe baby, well, you.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Know, yeah, I think the Broncos stand a chance. I'll
probably still pick Kansas City, but I would not be
if the Broncos won this, I wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
I wouldn't be surprised to one, wouldn't be surprisedly lost.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Yeah, with these divisional games, I mean, they're always tight games.
And the Chiefs, like Alex said, I've been in tight
games all year long. They just always find a way
to win because they have that dude at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
And that's the thing, Like even whatever's bogging them down,
they find ways to execute on third down and that's
going to be the key, uh to to winning that game.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
With all said and Ton, we come back right and
I gotta pick the pick.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
The slate around the league picked the slate of games.
Listen to Broncos Country down right here on Kayway. Thanks

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Well, it's been a little bit of a hectic week
around here.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
No excuses playing with the champion a little forty six
fair enough? Oh my goodness with that. Let's uh, let's
pick some games, buddy, Let's do it. Giants taking on
the pad Verse in.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Munich, I believe, of all places, this game started off
Giants minus one and a half, all the way out
to the Giants minus six and a half. This has
the wildest disparity of betting I have.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Ever seen in my life.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Only twenty seven percent of bets are all the Giants
minus six and a half, but seventy four percent of
the money is on Giants. That means is seventy three
percent of the best, seventy three percent of the bets
are on the Panthers, seventy four percent of the money
is on the Giants in this one.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
How's that make any sense?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
It souns it as the wildest betting disparity I think
I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Over under Oa, this started at forty two down to forty.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
And a half on the money line Giants minus two
sixty five seventy five percent of the bets.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
There are sixty four percent of.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
The money on the Giants, so the only disparity is
on the spread, where again the Giants minus six and
a half has only twenty seven percent of the bets
but seventy five percent of the money.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Fascinating dichotomy.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
That's eight and forty nine bets currently bet in at
that sportsbook right now. I like the Giants to win
that one, and I am taking the Giants, but that
is a fascinating bet spread.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Hello, Dave Temper, owner of.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
The Carolina Panthers, would you like to bet on your
Panthers in this one?

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Grant inviting me in for some late picks.

Speaker 6 (17:51):
I will not that Dame has not been great for me,
and nor is that team.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
They didn't look too.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
Bad, I guess last week against pretty pretty bad Saints team.
But I'm you know, the Giants are. Their defense is
good enough. I'm gonna go with the Giants on that one.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
I feel bad for the Germany, the entire country of
Germany for having to watch this game. This is the
game they get over there, But I'm gonna take the Giants.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
It's the single worst thing the United States has ever
done to Germany Patriots.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
It's taking on the Bearers.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Patriots started off plus five and a half getting plus six,
now forty three percent of bets, only forty percent of
money on the Pats. Everybody looking at the Bears in
that when over Utterers started forty three down to thirty
eight and a half, eighty eight percent of bets, fifty
seven percent of money on the over all the money line,
everybody's on the Bears ninety one percent of bets, eighty
five percent of money.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
I too for Chicago.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
Bears, I do as well. I mean, it's a The
Patriots are are a mess. Cayley Williams is an interesting one.
He's you know, he's still gonna lot to figure out.
But the defense is pretty good. I like Chicago.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Yeah, and it seems like Ibra Fluis is on the
hot seat once again in Chicago. But I think he
teams it this weekend. I think they win this game.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
I went back and forth a little bit with that
on early, but ultimately landed on the Bears Vikings at
the Jags.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
So it started off Vikings plus three and a half
is all we have.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
The Vikings minus seven, eighty five percent of bets ninety
three percent of money on the Vikings in this one
over underhead moved at forty four forty four and a half,
sixty three percent of bets, but only thirty six percent
of money on the over sees a lot of sharp
action on the under in this one, thirty seven percent
of bets, sixty four percent of money on the under
in that one of the money like everyone on the
Vikings ninety eight percent of bets, ninety nine percent of

(19:30):
money on the Vikings minus three twenty five. I have
the Vikings ending mercifully the Doug Peterson era mob Jacksonville.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I think so.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
After this game, I think so.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
I like the Vikings too.

Speaker 6 (19:43):
I mean they struggled a little bit, but that's just
a better team.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
And did I miss it? Did you say Trevor Lawrence
is out?

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Let's Trevor Lawrence is out. Mac Jones will be starting Jones.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Yeah, that's not gonna matter. The Vikings figured it back
out last week after losing two in a row. They're
back to their dominant ways on defense. Give me the Bikings.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Love it's Steelers taking on the Commanders. My heart is torn.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Russell Wilson, dan Quinn both beloved here and okay, it's
only me with him.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Steelers started off minus one and a half, nowther plus
three in this one.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Sixty one percent of bets, sixty four percent of money
on Pittsburgh in this one, over unders only come up
a point. Started forty three and a half out the
forty four and a half, eighty two percent of bets,
eighty six percent of money on the over on the
money line, sixty four percent of bets on the Commanders
minus one, forty five and only fifty eight percent of money.
Looks that there's some sharp action on the Steelers here.
I like the Steelers on the road against the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
That's this is a tricky one.

Speaker 6 (20:37):
When I was doing our our our pick em, you
know at the KOI call at our dot com weekly
pick up, I was like, this one looks. I mean,
normally you would go Steelers, that's a no brainer. But
I'm I'm fall for the Commanders on this one here.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
I mean, they have the best quarterback on the field
there and Jane Daniels.

Speaker 6 (20:53):
I may regret that because this I was, like my
instinct said Pittsburgh but I went with the young QB.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
Washington.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Yeah, and who would have saw the records for these
teams at this point in the year before the season
started six and two and seven and two. It certainly
was not me who saw it playing off this way.
But I think the Steelers and Russell Wilson have found something.
So in the words of Russ Steelers Nation as well, the.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Steelers, my heart wanted to take our commander in chief
are true commander in chief Dan Quinn. But my head
said take Russ and the Steelers so smart, So I
did bills at the Colts. This would start off bills
minus two out to minus three and a half, eighty
two percent of its seventy four percent of money on
the bills in this one over under forty six and
a half out to forty seven, seventy five percent of
it's eighty percent of money on the overexpecting some fireworks there,

(21:41):
apparently ninety five percent of it's ninety one percent of
money on the bills on the money line.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I like Buffalo and India. I don't really have anything
alysis to Dad. There Buffalos a better football team.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
IY too.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
I was I was hoping that there might be a
little more. You know, fireworks with Flacco getting back in
the lineup last week.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Did you see it. I'm with Buffalo, It's too good.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
I love the meme that came out where it was like,
glad they bench Danston Anthony Richardson so he could learn
from Joe Flacco and it was the highlight of him
throwing that interception on the side FI. I do think
he looks better this week, But I mean the Bills
and Josh Allen, they're rolling.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Give me the Bills.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
A lot of Falcons taking on the New Orleans Saints,
Dennis Allen out Darren Ritzy in as interim head coach.
The Falcons start off minus one out to minus three
and a half, eighty three percent of bet seventy nine
percent of money on the Falcons in this one over
under forty four and a half out to forty six
and a half, eighty percent of bets, seventy three percent.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Of money for the money a lot. Everybody loves the Falcons.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Ninety five percent of bets, ninety seven percent of money
on the Falcons on the road against the Saints.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
Maybe the Saints.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Get the interim head coach bumped there. I don't know,
what do you guys think I'll come to this one last?

Speaker 6 (22:47):
You know, these these some of these NFC South games
like these just just feel they've always over the years
felt tricky. But New Orleans just looks just like so
lost right now. I mean, it looks so lost right now.
And Atlanta's obviously playing playing for something pretty good.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
I'm leaning in Atlanta.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
It just would not shock me to see New Orleans
figure pull the upset.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
But I can't. I can't pick that. I feel you.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
On these NFC South games, they're always it seems like
they never go the way I think they're gonna go, right,
But I think the Favorite wins in this one. Even
though Derek Carr said it was the most upbeat, fast
practice he's ever had with interim coach Rizzy, I don't
think they're gonna get that interim coach bump give me
the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Well, I believe I'm gonna go with Saints at home
with this one. Oh in the upset, Niners taking all
the bucks.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
The return of Christian McCaffrey expected, and none too soon
for my fantasy team.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
The Niners start off minus seven.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
They're down to minus six, actually fifty two percent of
bets are actually on the Bucks plus six and a
half sixty.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Three percent of money. However, on the Niners.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Old Rutters started forty six and a half out to
fifty and a half, sixty nine percent of beds, sixty
eight percent of money on the Niners on the money
line minus seventy eighty eight percent of bets, seventy four
percent of money on the Niners. I am on the
Niners on the road in an early game on the
East Coast. Even though it's that I'm taking forty nine Ers.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
I'm too I mean the Niners with a little bit
of a slow start. I mean probably a little bit.

Speaker 6 (24:12):
Of a hangover from them, not you know, being able
to really finish the season, but too much talent. They're
getting McCaffrey back as well. But Tampa's, I mean, has
a fun team, still too beat up. I like Baker,
but not in this situation.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Is Debo playing on Sunday? Not sure I think he is,
But I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
I don't think it really matters. Buccaneers are too thin
at wide receiver. Give me the forty nine.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Ers Titans at the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Titans started plus four outs of plus seven eighty one
percent of bets, eighty five percent of money on the
Chargers minus seven in a hook. The over Runners started
forty three and a half is plummeted to thirty eight
and a half, ninety one percent of bets, eighty three
percent of money the over on the money line, ninety
seven percent of tickets on the Chargers, but only eighty
percent of the money.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
So weird sharp action on the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
There as people probably trying to hit that plus three
hundred money line on this one. I don't think they're
going to be able to do it. I think the
Chargers smoke them. I mean, I think the Chargers are a
good team.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
I mean I do.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
I mean Harvard started to get good, get his feel
for what he's got there. I've always liked Justin Herbert,
and he's doing some things with not a whole bunch
of talent around him. Tennessee's a weird team, man. There's
a team like I'm like waiting for them to get
good under their new head coach, but there's just not
a lot of talent there.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
So I've I've got to take the Chargers. They're pretty high.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Yeah, and this league's all about the quarterback and Tennessee
certainly does not have one. And the Chargers too. And
that's the difference with Harball this year with the Chargers
is they were always in these games down the stretch.
They just could not find a way to win them.
But with Harball and stealing his culture, they're winning these
close games, and I think they win this one.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
They are absolutely right there closing out Jets at the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Jets started off minus three, down to minus one and
a half. Fifty six percent of bets, fifty nine percent.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Of money on the Jets on that on the money
line hasn't moved an inch forty six and a half
a whole way, seventy seven percent of bets, seventy eight
percent of money on the over on the money line.
Little interesting here, fifty eight percent of bets on the
Cardinals on the money line, fifty three percent of money
as well.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
It's a weird line, you know.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
I saw that, you know, the Jets being favored in
this game, right, I mean, I was like, huh, if
they beat a banged up Texans team, I know they're
more desperate.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I'm kind of with you.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
By Arizona, that is not an easy team to figure out.
But they are hot and I'm gonna keep it going
with them.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
What's the any special things on Call of Duty this weekend?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Yeah, it's a double XP weekend. Oh okay, give me
the Jets.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
There you go see porl Kyler Murray, big Call of
Duty player for the notable bigger Call of Duty player.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
I like the Cardinals at home in this one. Make mine, Kyler.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
I'm gonna go with Arizona upending the Jets and really
putting a not necessarily a final nail in the coffin
on the Jets, but certainly putting them on their last
legs as far as being a playoff contention team, Eagles
taking all on the Cowboys in Dallas. This one started
off Eagles plus two out to minus seven and a
half of the Eagles seventy nine percent of bets, eighty
four percent of money on Philly over understarted at forty

(26:57):
eight out of forty two and a half thanks to
Cooper Rush get over eighty four percent of bets, eighty
percent of money on the over, ninety four percent of bets,
eighty nine percent of money on the Eagles on the
money line.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I like Philly. I don't think Cooper Rush is going
to be dead defense.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
No, I think that Cowboys team is on the verge
of just absolutely checking out while the Eagles are starting
to find their way and just sake, one's getting hotter
and hotter with him and hurts on the ground. I mean,
no way, I'm taking the Cowboys there.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Did you see the press conference with Mike Zimmer when
he was asked about the blown coverage, you know, oh
my gosh, and the reporter asked him to explain it,
and he said, well, we were in man defense, so
I think our players ought to be able to figure
that out. Their defense isn't figuring anything out. They're not
going to slow down Philadelphia and their defense. The Eagles
is looking better and better. So give me the Eagles.

(27:43):
I think they may win this by two touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Yeah, I think it's going to be a round too.
Cow was sorely missing Dan Quinn.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
They're going to gut that staff at the end of
the year, and would not be surprised that Bill Belichick
was the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
And dak What a disaster.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Yeah, yeah, all money and painful in me, that's the nightmare.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Right, I mean It's like you give the guy the
big contract and that's what you get, and you're tough.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Your margins are crushed once you pay the quarterbacks. That's
why you got to make.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
The right evaluation, the right call, and then Lions taking
all the Texans in Houston. Lions started off plus one
out the minus three and a half eighty six percent
of bets, but only sixty six percent of money on
the Lions over understarted fifty, dropped to forty eight and
a half eighty percent of bets, sixty percent of money
on the over all the money line, everybody's on the
Lions ninety seven percent of bets, ninety nine percent of money.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
I like Detroit to go into Houston and get the win.

Speaker 5 (28:32):
I do too.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
I mean that team is the scariest in the league. Well,
Baltimore is what they are in Kansas City sitting they
are undefeated. I mean that Lions team is a is
a buzzsaw and the Texans just again to beat up.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
I don't agree. I think everyone is so hot on
the Lions right now, calling them the best team in
the NFL. I think the Texans are going to bounce.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Back this week.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
I like to see a big game from CJ.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Stroud.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
I like the Texans at home.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Who who you haven't thrown to?

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Wow, that's the question, tanky, Dude, you're getting a dell. Dude,
You're gonna get a lot of targets this week.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Monday Night Football, Dolphins at the Rams.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
The Dolphins start a plus one there plus one and
a half, fifty eight percent of bets, fifty nine percent
of money on the Rams at home minus one over
undred and fifty sixty eight percent of bet seventy four
percent of money on the over on the money line.
Everybody's on the Rams well in terms of the money,
so only seventy nine percent of tickets, but ninety percent
of money on the the Rams on the money line
on Monday Night. I like the Rams as well. The

(29:34):
Dolphins look like a mess, might be Daniel though, saying
he's encouraged.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
By what he's seen in practice and me, I mean
their season.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
I mean there, it's they need this and he needs
this more than the Rams do, even the Rams sitting
there in four and four.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
I like this Rams team. I like Stafford's Pooka playing.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
I believe they're both going to be playing damning cop.

Speaker 6 (29:53):
Yeah, because pook is not suspended, right, They're okay. I'm
taking the Rams at home. Woe shot from there to
see a desperate Dolphins team go in there, but I'm
not taking them.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Yeah. I picked the Dolphins last week against the Bills.
I really thought they were going to pull that one out.
But Tyler Bass, who's been struggling all year, hits a
sixty one yarder to win it. I don't think that one.
This one's going to be as close as that game
last week with Pooka and Cooper Cup playing. Stafford's got
his guys, I think they get a dub.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I'm with you all in that last game here, it's
a home game, Broncos take it on the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
It's a road game, but it's a home team. I
guess I should say.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Broncos plus nine and a half was how it started,
down to plus seven and a half. Fifty five percent
of the bets are on the Chiefs, but fifty seven
percent of money on the Broncos. Over under started forty
six out of forty one and a half, eighty six
percent of bets, but only fifty seven percent of money
on the over. On the money line, ninety eight percent
of tickets on the Chiefs, but only sixty five percent
of money.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
There's some sharp action on the Broncos in this one.
What do you guys say?

Speaker 6 (30:49):
Man, of course I want to see our Broncos go
in there and get it and get it down. They
certainly could do that, But in these kinds of situations,
I got appeal the logos out the helmets and.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
Go who's the better team here? I mean, I got it.

Speaker 6 (30:59):
I'm I'm taking Kansas City, and I'm afraid that team
at some point is going to go, hey, maybe we
have a shot at that undefeated season.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
So I don't know.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
I'm pulling for our Broncos, but I can't take them.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Yeah, I agree with you, man. I mean think if
the Chiefs start playing their best football on offense, how
unbeatable that team is going to be. And I just
can't pick against them. I think it's going to be
a close game. I even like the Broncos to cover
on that seven and a half. I thought Alex Gold
made a good point the Chiefs playing a lot of
close games. But man, I can't pick against Patrick Mahomes.
And if they're not losing, I don't see him losing

(31:32):
this week. I think they're going to move to nine
to zero. I just hope it's a much closer game
than what we had last week in Baltimore, and I
expect it to be. I think it's going to be
around twenty four to twenty at the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Are you both for haters? Absolute haters? We'll take the
home team at all that. I am right there with you.
Kansas City's abolute going to beat the Denver Broncos here.
I think they can keep it close. I wouldn't be
surprised if they covered. I hope they pull out a win.
I'm not expecting it. I'll be picking Kansas City to
win this one. Thanks for being our guest picker. There
must be wrong on that one together.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
Well for us to all be wrong about that one,
So thank you.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
Appreciate you guys having me anywhere anytime.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
We can get the owner of the Carolina pan NFL
owner in here. It's really a treat for us to
have that. So, Okay, send your Panthers sweets my way.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
We will.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
I will continue to do that on twit will continue
to just suggest that your account is actually Dave Tapper's
account on Twitter. A mess yet that's our programming director,
Dave Jeff Always love having him and Grant Smith back there.
You Bengals looking kind of nice.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Who baby, I told you I didn't need any spread tonight.
We're taking the Bengals. They're rolling into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Well the parley is looking pretty tasty too, So if
we do what God, So that's what we're.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Really worried about.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
The Ravens right now. Yeah, yeah, Okay, we see Jamar
Chase likes to play that team.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
He does like to play that team. They showed up
backs against the wall on this one. Broncos Country Tonight
rules on here on Aoway.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Ninety four.
