Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well them do it Broncos Country tonight, but with all
Brian Nick Ferguson, Grant Smith loocking that mustache, look at
him five six six nine zero is the text line.
Somebody was talking to me today about those, you know,
like the vanity chains that people get, Like, what's the
wildest one you've ever seen?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Vanity change?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Well, you don't talking about they change what the rappers have,
like they have all the like their name, you know
what I'm talking about. So they were talking about like
who has the wildest one you've ever seen? Like flavor flavor,
like the spinning clock in there or whatever, and and
so like I was like, what if I was gonna
get a chain like that? Would I get a chain
of I got a chain of Grant's mustache? That's what
I would get. A chain with Grant mustache and diamonds, a.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Chain digged out and vvs diamonds, well and grants.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Me radio money. It's not gonna be diamonds. It would
be like keeping zacodium. There would be a rappers chain.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Which is Grant's mustache like that that would be the chain.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Oh wow, that would be rather interesting.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Sam, all my rap career take off. You see where
this is going.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Five six sixth nine zero is the text line.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Nick is not wearing anything sparkly today, so I can
actually look over there.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I just wear anything sparkly. Yesterday, you guys have the
wrong bro.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
You looked like you were the background actor in Twilight
Sparkles off.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
First of all, I know you are not talking.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Mister boy band himself is sequence.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
I'm just pants. I'm just saying, what are you saying?
You said on yesterday? I wasn't Wayne newtoning it up
in here. Oh I wasn't neither.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Was that great?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
You're laughing too hard again again again, you're laughing too all.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Truth hurts man, You're laughing entirely too hard. See.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Okay, So do you guys even know the definition of bedazzle?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
To have something bedazzle?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Okay, as a man no.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
So it's decorative or personalizing of clothing or accessories right
using sequence, beads or glitter right now. Like I told you,
I didn't do it myself, even though Grant wants to
say I did it myself. I purchased the garment with
a little kind of glitter on it.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
But you guys am trying to make it seem as
though like.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I'm at a Christina Aguilera concert or someundthing.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I was worried that it was actually not purchased with
the item, and that someone somewhere and some type of
establishment had gotten glitter on you. And so that's why
I wanted to make sure that we were okay.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
No, man, I don't visit No types of establishments don't
go to the glitter part.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
No, I don't know, don't you.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Michael's makes that out that Michael's though, yeah, gets a
crass on weird huts, smelled like baby powdered five six,
six nine year olds of text.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Un got a lot to get to tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I don't know if you guys have seen as everybody
probably has this farce of a boxing match that's going
to happen tonight as Jake Paul takes on a geriatric
Mike Tys and we're all hoping Tyson pulls a Mickey
uh and instead of going down on the fourth like
knocks him out.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Is there anybody who doesn't think this thing is rigged? Well,
let's be totally honest.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
If we're talking about a Paul brother fight of any sort,
we already know what it is. It is just for
for show and for me personally, a person who grew.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Up watching boxing with my uncle who boxed.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
In the military, to me, it is kind of it
is kind of a sham, and it is kind of
downgrading boxing as a whole, because I mean j Paul
calls himself a fighter, a boxer.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
He's an entertainer, yes, but that's it.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
So you go from the world of social media influencer
to you know what, what's my next gig?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Right, and now you're getting.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Into boxing, Like was it him or his brother who
fought Nate Robinson?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Him?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, And I'm like, you fight Nate Robinson and Nate.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Shorter than you, he's got some health issue and you
knock him out and you're proud about that.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
And I'm just like, come.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
On, man, that that's just like you going pushing.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Over a four year old and taking the tricycle. I mean,
we know you could do that, right, Jake Paul and
blessed his hustle. I respect the hustle. Nobody convinces over
the hill fighters to come take a dive for Jake
Paul like Jake Paul exactly.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
And once again it goes back to wasn't he told
me honest, like like like one of the best promoters
I think in sports ever, right, like Dan and White
does a great job now but don.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
King, Yeah, I mean he was a human being, but
great promoter.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Great promoter, and and you have to cause and create
that controversy the talk because you got you have to
sell the fight.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Areat job of doing that? They do that slap?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I think we all knew that was stage You see that.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I did see a video where we're saying with stage,
but Paul crawling on the ground like this wolver Ring.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Stepped on Mike Tyson's foot, like.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Barely stepped on the on the step on the the
edge of his I thing to say to the fair
then slap. But I mean that's all nonsense to self,
I think I don't know anybody that believes any of
that is real.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
And then you look at this thing. Damn'm like, dude,
Mike Tyson's.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Fifty eight years old, Jake Paul's insisting on fourteen ounce gloves.
There's not gonna be a knockout of this thing.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Fourteen ounce gloves. See See that's the hypocrisy of it.
I get the entertainment.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I understand the I'm here for the entertainment point. Now
we're all gonna watch it on every last one we
know we're gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Gret and I was talking about it yesterday and I
was like, it was on We both agree. If we
were on pay per view, not a chance, not a chance.
But it happened to be on a streaming site that
I pay.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
For every month.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
They don't have to pay any extra.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Nope, So I'm gonna watch it.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
So what happens if Mike Tyson comes out and knocks
out Jake Paul in the first round?

Speaker 2 (05:47):
What are you guys saying?

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Since you're saying this it's a farce and it's it's
all you know, fake? What happens if Mike Tyson comes
out and knocks him out cold?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Then Jake Paul's no longer a sellable product for these
over the Hill fighters? Like, is somebody finally gonna.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Knock him out? This is what happens, Like any TV show?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Will they will the guy and the girl get together,
and then they do, and then the TV show.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Ends like the basketlak. Then they can't what I'm talking
about scripted televisions.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Okay, let me try that again I'm talking about I'm
talking about totally scripted television because the product and the
longer cellible. At that point, you're tuning in to see
Jake Paul get knocked up. Everybody's tuning in to see
j Paul get knocked out. Oh there's nobody tuned it
in to see Jake Paul knock out Mike Tyson before
he heads to the Denny's for three PM dinner.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well you just said Mike Tyson is kind of an
old guy. He's fifty eight, all right, So there is
a part of the audience that is tuning in just
to see if that happened, Like when he fought uh,
Floyd Mayweather, right about Jake Paul, Yeah, we fought Floyd
Mayweather and.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Floyd had to hold him up because he was so
gassed at parts of the fight. Exact clinching of Floyd's
like hold him upright.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
But in those fights this is why he fights, oh
the fighters, which once again is whack. But anyway, the
whole idea is that on the off chance, on the
off chance that he lands the that that uppercut, that
that that straight hand jab that puts someone of no, no, no,

(07:10):
Jake Paul.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Cares if he knocks out my Tyson and say, okay,
you beat up an old guy. And if he doesn't
think you're Jake Paul still once again, Jake Paul was
still if he knocks out Mike Tyson, if Jake Paul
got in the ring with any of the top three
hundred fighters in his weight class, he would get his
backside handed to me exactly.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
So, so this is kind of the new form of entertainment,
all out of w W.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
If you will now what Okay, I see, I'm with it.
That's what I was heading.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
It was like, if you view it through the lens
of this is entertainment, then okay, but do not come
to me.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
That this is a legitimate fight. I got so many.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
People asking me today why you can't bet on this
in Colorado?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
And I'm like, because it's not a legitimate fights.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
It's not saying it's not a sanctions section. It shouldn't be,
but somehow it is really why fight?

Speaker 2 (07:57):
But he's bet on in Colorado? You can't better on
a pencilvan.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
There's a post estates that are like, yeah, we're not
letting people bet on this is a joke. Well, like me,
like it's weird because I think it's a joke, but
I still think people should be allowed to bet on
it because who are you to tell me what I
do with my money?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Absolutely, so I'm going to watch for the last That's it,
and that's where I'm at.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
I'm here for the Okay, pop Mike once in the
face and make him forget that you're on script for
a second and he goes crazy Holy Field earbiting you
know moment. I think we're all here for that. We're
all here for the moment he pulls at Mickey. How
many you guys watch Snatch? You know I'm talking about
Brad Pitt with the Irish accent. He keep telling him
he's gonna go down the fourth and then he knocks
a guy out like two punches every time. Just spoil

(08:37):
it for you.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Sorry, great movie.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
I'm gonna watch that again tonight. I but that's the
thing about this is like, it's such a farcical thing.
And if Jake Paul who, I don't think he cares
about being respected as a fighter. I think he loves
cashing checks and he's doing a great job.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Well, let's be totally honest, we all like cashing checks
the ones with several.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Zero.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I think Jake's getting forty million out of this thing.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
So with that being said, yeah, you take the fight.
You make every single fight. Next is gonna want to
fight Grant Smith.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Like I respect, I respect Jake Paul's hustle in terms
of putt stuff like this together. I respect his hustle
in terms of making all the money that he makes
off it and being a shameless self promoter. Respect all that.
Don't respect him the least bit of a fighter.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
You ever watch that? Dude's a fighter. Betty drops his guard.
His cham's the slowest thing on earth.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Do we get his clock cleaned by anybody who's ever?

Speaker 2 (09:27):
But that's the whole process.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
It's like, Okay, how many ways can you come up
with a money grab scheme?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
And this is mad I'm jealous. I am not mad
at him by Tyson for forty million. Yes, I would
get my backside just like handed to me, just like
Glass Jaw Prepas for this years ago.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
I'm just saying like I would get I would get
my absolutely, I would get my ass.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Handed to me Mike Tyson forty character, because I mean
Glass was a glass Joe Joe Joe. Okay, Yes, well
that's what everyone could be on the verge of watching.
It's entertainment has taken on a whole different level now nowadays.
Just think about how we consume a lot of our
mass media opposed to how we consumed it years ago.

(10:16):
And I'm gonna look at this and I'm going to laugh,
just like I watched The bachelrette and I laugh too.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I didn't watch The Bachelorette, but I'm laughing at you
for watching it.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Why you why?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
What did what did you specifically enjoy about the Bachelorette?

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Well, I watched it. You know the basket two. You
know I got The Golden Bachelor, which you.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Know, the entire franchise. You're a fan of the whole.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I'm not saying I'm a fan. You've got the gold.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Listen, don't be mad at me, because I like to
see people try to find love even though they don't.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Or is it a bunch of dudes compete for some airtime.
I would love to be on one of those shows
because I would be an absolute jerk to everyone the
entire time.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
That's the guy that they love, and that's the guy.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
You're the guy they talked to They look at your profile,
they see everything about it. Hey, we want you to
be a villain on the show.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
And I would, oh you would, you would love to
hate me exactly, No surprise there. I would be terrible
in that shows. No, I'd be on the date and
be disinterested in the date, be trying to hit on
somebody else that you know, in the middle of the date, and.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Somehow Ban gets another rubless Like.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
How is he as right? How was he advancing?

Speaker 3 (11:31):
But these are the reasons why I watched the show
because it is comedy to me.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
I will say I got hooked in every once in
a while when I would come home from work, Olivia,
my wife would be watching, isn't it right now?

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Love is Blind?

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Okay, that's I've seen that one. And that's the.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
One, the only one I could tell you.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
You can't see the person correct in like pods and
you can't see the series.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
You know you're gonna marry?

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, my wife was watching. I was like, what what
what's this tom foolery? You watching this hot garbage?

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But man, I was hug, I've seen one. I want
to with Rachel. Is she gonna marry Dan? And those
real people that don't. I don't know, Okay, I like,
I've ever seen the first season of that whenever it
came out or whatever. That's that's the only one I've
ever seen.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
So yeah, but what's good? Think about where the where
we live in now? Right, there's so much reality TV,
scripted TV. See, I want to do like a parody
of that.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
I want to have like one of those shows where
it's a bunch of like ripped dude, just ripped dudes
going after this chick. And then there's one like sloppingly
Fat just whatever. It's like me and you can't figure
out how that guy keeps getting through. Well, I mean,
at that point we've already figured the plot.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
It's like they have to get that guy through to
make everyone kind of tune in because everyone has the
same question, how.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Is it that get nerves still getting through?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
And you know, and he's like, yeah, see, I want
to make like a parody of that, but everybody thinks
it's real.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
But this is the reason why Jake Paul has made
millions of dollars really quickly. While living in Los Angeles,
there was a friend I know in broadcasting, and I
went to lunch with her and just what happens. You know,
Jake Paul's dad was one of the individuals that she
wanted to introduce me to and to hear him talk about. No, no, no, no,

(13:20):
I'm not getting in the ring with with anyone, and
I'm not trying to build up or hype anyone else
up about me going.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
You would have the coolest walk in in your bedazzled
robe shot ready for a.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Minute, Okay, yeah, of course, of course I got a
shiny road. Yes, yes, yes, But I've seen boxers.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
At the beginning.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
They're coming out, you know, the the robe, and they
got the music, they got to the riper, they're singing,
and it's like once they get in the ring, boom
they knocked out.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
No I'm not I'm not for that.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
I'd been in your ent. You look bigger just standing
next to me.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
No, no, I yeah, just have me and.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Like a mom.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
No, man, you guys are not gonna set.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Me club to be on YouTube like this is not
it'd be remixed to let him getting hit with the
the sonic coins flying out of him.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Wait a minute, hold on, man, I play Uh that
a game? Was that Mario Brothers and my wife and
uh she was pouncing on my head in the coins.
I never played a game with her yet, so I'm
not gonna let you guys set me up. Because when
Nate was knocked out, they put him like on the
NBA logo.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Or him lying on the phone like he was knocked out,
means were rough.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
No I got we got a text message here asking
you if Netflix can make a special reviewing my tender
and bubble account history of yours. Yeah, now that.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Now that would be uh.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Your forts. I got nothing to hide. Everybody knows everything
about me anyway.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Maybe you should hide some so yeah, you know that's
the problem, right, A little late for that.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
It's not enough of things about Benjamin Albright's life that
are on the consumed.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeaheah, that's a yeah. That's been a recurring problem, just
saying five six, six nine zeros a text line. We
uh we have the three or three says I'm fit
in sixty four thought when I was young a lot
I could take grant if he's severely handicapped, Hey, you
might be able to take me anyways. God's a Gret's
a lover, not a fighter. Yes, he's a he's a
peaceful person.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I'd like to say, I'm wiry though older brother growing
up Planny, I can defend myself.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
There you go, well with the kicker in the replacement, Whitey.
That's exactly why said I said. Grant said, he's not
not a big guy, but I'll come at you like
a weed eater on fence post.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Just cut you down.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
I had some old when I was in a rack
when our old first sergeant said that about me. One time.
He said, amazing, ain't much, but he come at you
like a weed eater on fence post.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Hey, isall you.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
That's stuck with me for forever. We'll get into some
We've got some cu news here. By the way, it
looks like Zach Wilson's little brother's got mono. Of all
the quarterbacks in that family to have mono, I think
I think you probably would have gone with Zach. But whatever.
Isaac Wilson, who was scheduled to start for Utah against CEU,
now looks like he's gonna be out in that game,
and they're they're down like their fifth string quarterback. I

(16:22):
did the line go up because I know we're eleven
to thirteen over the last couple of hours, So I
would imagine that news is getting out there.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yeah, Cam Rising of course out for the season, brand
Rose out for the season, Sam Hewart out for the season. Now,
Isaac Wilson out with Mono. They're down to I think
they have two quarterbacks even left on the roster. Geez,
So this could this has potential to be uh to
be interesting.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
That's tough with winning him yeah, geez.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
No, Utah has not exactly been h great on offense
this year anyway, A rising with all right, but they're
mostly a defensive football team.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
But man should ask Luther Ellis about that last night? Well,
of course, I mean the question was did it happen
last night? I don't think model comes that fast, does it?
I mean me, I've never had Mono. I had Model
like when I was in high school.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
I don't remember. I've never had it either. Yes, I
thought it lingered though for a really long Yeah. I
do remember that. I remember it's really tired and sleepy
all the time. Didn't Zack Wilson get that model?

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Now?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Didn't Zach Wilson get it once?

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Too?

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Maybe I think that was a thing. Maybe not?

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Is that something you get from like kissing? A different
variety of individuals right.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
That's what you know. It said you get it from kissing,
or you can drink after somebody. It's very contagious. You
don't have to kiss somebody. Oh okay, okay, yeah, it's
not like a multiple thing. It's just like you can
get it from anyone who has it.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
This is why you always have to watch who you're
drinking after and make sure you know, drink after people.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
I don't drink after people.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Well that could now know this could reason to be
happening because it's a Isaac Wilson went to some kind
of food establishment and a person who was on washing
dishes didn't wash them well, and someone.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
I think we can all look at Isaac Wilson's older
brother and we know exactly how we got it.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
No we don't. I mean we don't know that.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Okay, we don't know, and I've got that at air
quotes here in the studio, but we know. You know
what else we know Broccos Country And I gotta take
a break. We'll be back after this. Bring on Mark
Ramandi from esp and the Falcons. Beat right out there, Mark,
How you doing this? Evening?

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Good gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
I'm going to get through that.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
My entrance music, So I I appreciate it very much.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Okay, well, well you know we'll put it on file.
We'll make sure your theme music way better than Nick
Shania Twain request.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
That's we're still.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Me.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Hey, look you have you have Shania tatay on there.
See if that's what works for you, this horse for you.
I need to have a little more high, uh Marc.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
As we look at this thing.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
The Broncos coming off a tough schedule, they always view
these three games as the meat of this schedule. You
were all around Baltimore, you loss, You're all over Kansas
City devastating loss on blockfield goal, and now you get
the Falcons at home. They felt like they had to
pick up one of the three. I think that here
they feel pretty optimistic about that, especially looking at the
injury report there at Atlanta and that that defense it's
been unable to pressure the quarterback. What say you, sir?

Speaker 2 (19:07):
It is uh.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
It is definitely the most banged up version of this
Falcons team all season, especially in the secondary guys. They
are missing their number two cornerback, Mike Cues, their nickel
cornerback in the Alford, and it is uh, you know
this is this is the secondary that has you know
some some teams have put up big plays on them
this season, including last week AGNDST the Saints. You know,

(19:29):
Mark haz Valdez Standling not not a guy known for
big plays lately. Uh, you know, put up some some
big numbers in the first half against the Falcons. And
they're gonna be without some of their top players. And
then you can go down the list. I mean, they're
they're missing James Smith. Williams has gotten a lot of
reps at the edge.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (19:46):
They're gonna miss Charlie Warner, who is their best blocking
tight end and a huge part of their running game
with the Jehan Robinson.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Uh it is.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
It is a very banged up team going to Denver,
and uh, I think the Falcons are very likely the
bye week right after Denver.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
One of the biggest issues watching the Falcons is not
just the secondary, because being a former guy of the
plane the secondary myself, I know the secondary and the
pass rush are married together. But Matt Judahm was one
of those guys that the Falcons brought in thought they
were going to create more pass rush, but they haven't.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
So coming against Denver on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
How the Falcons are going to do that as far
as pass rushes concerned, are you know, they're going to
try to add extra guys on the second level blitz guys,
But how can you manufacture pass rush if you had
the Falcons.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
That's the thing that they've been trying to figure out
the entire season so far.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
I mean, it has been. It has been tough. It
has been a struggle. And their best pass rusher might
be Cayden Ellis, who's an off the ball linebacker and
you know, he has the most pressures of the season,
so it's not even an edge or defensive lineman. It's
a guy who kind of plays in the middle with
the green dot. So it's been it's been tough. And
they are getting the Lorenzo carter back and he's been

(21:00):
he's one of their you know, edge rushers. He's been
out since earlier in the season with a concussion, so
they are getting him back, which is good news. But
I mean, this is a team that you know there
they brought up Dangelo Malone, who was a special teams
guy for most of the season, and he's getting some
reps right now at the edge and they elevated a
guy from the pipe the squad, Khalid Kareem last week,
who played actually pretty decent from the edge last week.

(21:21):
But they are trying pretty much everything right now because
it's it's not working. Nine sacks, I mean, is the
worst holes in the league, the worst quarterback pressure rate
in the league.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
It is not, it is, it has been.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
It has been kind of a mess right for that
Falcons in that respect.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
On the other side of the ball, Falcons loaded offensively,
kind of the antithesis of Denver. I guess who was
that the defensive identity team that's growing an offense. The
Falcons had the offense trying to grow a defense there
as we look at all the weapons, I mean, and
and Mooney has that Achilles thing. I don't know what
that how that's gonna limited or whatever. But you got London,
You've got Mooney, you got Pitts, you got Bijon, and
you got out here. Uh, there's just there's just a

(21:58):
turf of just an absolute load of weapons there. For
the Falcons, why have they not scored more? It seems like.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
It's a good question. I mean, they are had the
third most yards of total offense in the entire NFL
coming into this week, right, but they're only scoring at
the fourteenth best rate, which is something that they have
to address. You know, from the offensive side, they move
the ball, you know, John Robinson has been an incredible
all purpose back. Mooney and London are arguably right.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
Now statistically the best receiver duo in the entire NFL.

Speaker 6 (22:33):
They're moving the ball, but.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
They're not scoring the points that.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
They need, and that's something that really needs to be
addressed with offensive coordinator Zach Robinson. And they haven't been efficient,
and then they've had penalties kill them and their first half.
I mean, they have really had a hard time in
the first half. They've been a very good second half team.
They've had some really nice comebacks this season against the
Eagles and the Saints and the Bucks. But in the
first half, it seems like they come out a lot
almost every week, which is disturbing. I mean, it's like

(22:58):
the time of possession every week against the Falcons is
like sole lopsided when you go into the second quarter.
It's almost bizarre.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Mark when we look at the Falcons offensively, it's just
not just Kirk Cousins and b John Robinson and Algier,
but Young Wayku seventy four points he scored this season,
but as of late, he's somewhat in the slump. I mean,
how does he get out of the slump? Can he
get out of the slump? And do you think he's

(23:26):
looking at the game's sunned against the Broncos with the
thin air here, hoping that that would kind of get
him back on track.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
You know, I really feel like the Falcons would love
for a situation very early in the game, something close,
you know, twenty nine yard or you know, low pressure situation.
I think they would love to have that Young waykup
because he did. He missed three field goals against the Saints,
and he has struggled from really beyond forty yards this
season and it's been a little bit of a concern.
But before the season, we're talking about a guy who's

(23:55):
been one of the most active kickers in the history
of the NFL. So it's one of those things where
he's in a little bit of a slump, like you said,
and the only thing that Falconts can really do at
this rate is hope that he breaks out of it.
I think it's probably something that's more mental than its physical.
Like he's you know, he's hitting the ball. Well, it
isn't just sancing, it's just he's kind of you know,
he's a little bit off to the left of the right,
and it's I guess one of those things that happens

(24:16):
in the careers of a kicker, and the best kicker
is find a way to figure out how to get
out of those slumps. And that's kind of what is
incumbent upon coup right now.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Talk with Mark Ramondi, the USBM beat writer the Atlanta Falcons. Mark, obviously,
the Falcons added Justin Simmons this off season. Simmons, but
that beloved fan favorite here in Denver. How has it
gone for Simmons thus far there in Atlanta and how
emotional will this return be for him?

Speaker 6 (24:41):
Very emotional?

Speaker 5 (24:42):
And Justin Simmons is one of the best guys in.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
The locker room, you know, really really a team player,
all around good guy. Also incredibly well dressed. Justin Simmons,
and let me just say that very true.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
He's very true.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
He's dripping, as the kids say, I think they still
say that. I'm not sure I'm forty, but he's look,
he's looking forward to, you know, coming back He's been
a really big part of the defense. Like you know,
we were just talking about the pass rush, guys, the
secondary has really held up its ends of the bargain
for the most part this season for the Falcons.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Not so much last week against the Saints, but man,
if they don't have guys like Jesse.

Speaker 6 (25:14):
Bass and Justin Simmons and Ajxrawl on that secondary, with
the lack of the pass that they have, like I mean,
the startling lack of a pass rush, I'm not sure
what the posts would be right now. And then Simmons
is right there, you know, as a guy very helpful
in the secondary.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
You know, it's something very interesting about the relationship with
Justin Simmons. And everyone's asking a question around here as
far as well, what's the type of welcome well Justin
received when he comes into empower field? But when you
watch him and you watch Bass and all those guys
and the secondary, what is giving you hope that maybe

(25:49):
they can come in and they can create some turnovers
here and get some takeaways from the Broncos.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
That's what I have to hope for. And that's kind
of what like when the Falcons have played at their best,
they've gotten only turnovers from the secondary. They've gotten, you know,
an interception from an AJ Terrell or interception from a
Jesse Bay. Jessy Bass is just a ball hawk. I mean,
he's he's got to free them against the bucks alone
force and fumbles. So I really think that, you know,

(26:15):
they you hate to say that they need that because
those are kind of things that kind of happen in
the course of a game. You cannot bank on getting
timely turnovers, Dave. I don't want to say they've been
lucky with them so far, but they've been fortunate to
get them so far. But you just can't bank on it.
And uh, they got to figure out way. They got
to figure out way to get to the pastor they
got to figure out out out of way. I mean,
you know, they're they're they're ten weeks in now and

(26:35):
before the end of the season. That's the kind of
thing that's going to really hurt them. They're they're in
first place in their division and they're having their best
season in a long time. But if you want to
turn you know, what is a good team into a
better than good team, you got to get to the quarterback.
That's just the bottom line. And they know that, and
they they're they're, they're, they're, they're tweaking things. They're trying
to figure it out, but it has not come yet.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Talk with Mark Romandi from ESPN. Mark, most important question, then,
where do you stand on Jake fol versus Mike Tyson.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
That's an excellent question.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
And I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this,
but a lifetime ago, which is like February at this
past year, I actually broke the news that this fight
was happening. I was a combat sports reporter. I covered
I covered combat sports for eleven years, and I broke
that fight. I broke into that fight happening. And now
I'm about to watch it in Alasta.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
But if you're asking me for my prediction, I'm going.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
To say Jake Paul in a in a lackluster eight
round decision. That's my that's my but my expert opinion
has some cover combat sports for over a decade.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
I don't want to say the fight is necessarily rigged.
But Jake Paul and I respect his hustle in these
kinds of things. He has a penchant for finding over
the hill fighters to give a payday two and then
claiming he outlasted. Is he ever going to fight someone worthwhile?

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Why would he? Why would he do that? Why? I mean,
he is making so much money, you know why? Why?
I mean, I mean, that's well, respect Asking that question
is kind of like missing the point of what Jake
Paul is. And he'll tell you differently because promoter. But
what he is is just a guy who boxing is
an extension of his content creation. He is creating content

(28:08):
that people are are paying that that people are purchasing.
And that's really all there is to it. It's it's
you know, it is we're we're kind of like in
this post sport place in combat sports, Like it's not
really about the sporting nature of it of the event.
It's about how how much people how much they can
commence people to buy, you know, how much they can
stuble to tune in on Netflix or what have you

(28:30):
buy it, buy a ticket to come see at the
Cowboys Stadium. It's so beyond you know, actual sport that
we know and uh, you know, Ja Paul is going
to keep doing these fights as long as people continue
to watch them, and this is going to be the
most watched fight of any kind of the modern era,
I can. I can promise you that because uh Netflix,
I mean worldwide, It's just going to be an insane

(28:51):
audience and it's going to be the most watched fight since,
like you know, Mike Taxon was on ABC way back when.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
So Mark glassword for me, when you guys look at
this Ronco's team and you look at the offense, what
is the outside of perception from your viewpoint of bo
Nicks and how he's performed thus far this season.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
I've been pretty positive. I mean I've I've watched a
little bit of Bonick. Obviously, I watched him and you
know when he was in college and uh, the the attack.
The Atlanta Falcons coaching staff was a big fan. They
were big fans of bow Knicks. They sent the team
out to uh to go scout him. Uh last ye last,
I guess last spring in Oregon, and Uh, I feel
like if Michael Pennis Jr. Wasn't available at number eight

(29:30):
when when the Falcons picked it, they might have taken
him Bo Nicks. You know, they might have taken Bo
Nicks there. They liked him a lot.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
So I think the perception is very high.

Speaker 6 (29:37):
I think that, Uh, you know from my perspective, it
looks like he's he's the guy that can be a
franchise quarterback. You know, he's athletic, you know he can.
You know he he kind of fits the mold of
the modern of the modern quarterback, you know a little bit.
You know, he get out of the pocket, he can run,
he can plays a live which is so key you
know in today's NFL. I think, uh, I think you
all got something over there in bo Nicks.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Well, we certainly hope.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
So, Mark, we appreciate the time this evening. You have
fun watching the air quotes fight and I'm with you
on Thatt probably Decision night at the end. So we
appreciate your time this evening, anytime.

Speaker 6 (30:08):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Marco Body ESPM. Guys, Next Wednesday, we're gonna help those
in need hard pivot here this Thanksgiving with the.

coming Wednesday. King Soupers on Colorado and Yale presented by
Redbird Farms Colorado, Duke GMC Dealers, and courtesy Acurra.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
And k o A.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
You get a little bit of see you stuff here
in the next segment, Nicks, this is a pretty pivotal
game for the Boss. I mean obviously coming in with it.
Now it's now gonna be a fifth string quarterback, but
they still got a tough defense, There's still a formidable team.
They've got great coaching.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
As we know.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Of course, we had Luther Ellis on last night. We
got some comments from him. We'll get through the next
half hour, but this is this is a must win
game for the for the Boss as they control their
destiny to the Big Twelve championship.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah, it is, man.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
It has major implications because I think about recruiting this year,
excuse me, recruiting next year, also trying to stay alive
in the Big twelve title game, trying to keep their
college football playoff hopes alive.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
This game is a huge part of it.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
And we've watched the CU Buffs lose games this season,
even in last season that they should have won.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
But that Case State game is definitely a game that.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
They should have won, but they could not stop Case
State running back which also could be a problem you know,
this week again against Utah because they have a good
back as well. But this is something that is coming
to pass where coach Prime when he first arrived the CEU,
he wanted to get to this point, but also he
didn't want his players to get too hype and overthink

(31:46):
and overlook opponents.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
So big game tomorrow for the Buffs.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Yeah, we'll get into all that next right here on
