Speaker 1 (00:00):
Back to a Broncos country tonight, Benjamin ol Bright, Nick Ferguson,
Prass Smith back there behind the glass, five six six
nine year olds and text lin'e gonna go right out
to the ka common spirit felt hotline.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Though.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
We've got my guy Dan Fetis from w h A
M there in Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Dan, how you doing, buddy good?
Speaker 4 (00:15):
How are you guys man?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Doing pretty good?
Speaker 5 (00:18):
Man?
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Looking forward to this sing Broncos.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I think as we started the season, I'm not sure
that people would have projected that this would be where
they were. But here we are in the playoffs, and uh,
people around here feel like the Broncos have got a
puncher's chance in this one. What's the vibe there in
Buffalo on the Bills?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
In this matchup?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Around here in Western New York, everybody's on edge And
it's funny you think about the biggest matchup, I think
it's mental. I think pressure is the biggest matchup that
I look at this game, because the Bills is that
can't lose. You just can't lose this game. It's how
do you handle this pressure? You're at home, you're supposed
to win. It's a rookie quarterback and the postseason and
(00:58):
the Broncos for everything. Word here this is house money,
like they've over achieved, like this is great, and so
it's how much does that playing tree and no expectation
go against all the expectation, the Sean McDermott pressure, all
these things, Josh Allen, you know, potential MVP season. So
around here it is. I'll tell you what people have
(01:19):
been coming up, those who just had a live podcast
yesterday and everybody was like, Broncos are really good. They're
really good, aren't they. It's like, yeah, I get it.
It's an uneasy day. The Broncos have a bunch of dudes,
and I think it will be a fun, competitive game.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Well, we look at the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
Majority of time, everyone's talking about Josh Allen, but I
want to talk about the defensive side of the ball
for a second.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
And this could play a major role. We don't really know.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
We still Friday, the game is not uns a Sunday.
But Cogton and JaMarcus Ingram, those two guys were absent
for practice on Thursday. I mean, if those two guys
don't play, how does that impact Tom mcdermot's defense, Coddrington's.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
The Bills special team's return guy, so that's his big thing.
He's been really good. They actually traded for him right
after the end of the preseason, so he's been an
electric return guy for them, and they haven't really had
anybody return kicks or punts beside Codrington, So that's kind
of a question mark that we're wondering. Sean mcdermot't as
he's questionable Ingram I know, has been a wait for
a family matter. Not exactly sure what he'll be back.
(02:22):
He's on more of those depth corner pieces. He's filled
in at times when Rasul Douglas has been out. But
I don't think too many changes to this Bill defense.
Treul Bernard is good to go and we'll be back
at starting the linebacker. So for all, for the most part,
for the Bills that have been banged up heading into
the postseason the last two years, this is pretty much
the healthiest they've been in a while.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Bright with Dan Vennis from WHA AM thirteen there in Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Then, as we look at this game's.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Let's play the hypotheticals out here for a minute. The
Broncos win this game. How warm is that seat underneath
Sean McDermott.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
It's warm. Actually, let me come up to me and say, well, Dan.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
It's kind of lose lose. If the Bills lose, like
it would be a win win, because they'll lose and
then they'll fire Sean McDermott. Look, Sean McDermott is not
being fired. And it's for a couple of reasons. One,
they won five straight AFC East titles, that's for sure.
But on top of it, if you know a little
bit more behind the scenes of the ownership, the Terry
Pegula and what's going on, he also owns the Sabers.
(03:22):
They're a mess of an NHL team. He has kind
of struck out and swung and mist on every single
coach he's hired outside of Sean McDermott, So in seats
definitely turned up. Look he is, he's facing a lot
of pressure. And for as good as the Bills were
this season, I was.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Listening at bow Knicks after the game and.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
I heard a lot of similarity the Bills. Also, for
as much as the Broncos were projected at what five
and a half wins been like before the season, and
they overachieved, and the dead cap they had to deal
with Bill, Jim Brady being before the season, trading away Diggs,
cutting Mitch Morse, moving on from Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer,
all pro safeties that have been, you know, key pieces
to this Bill's run here of division titles. Brandon Dean
(04:04):
called it a transition year and everybody kind of was.
Speaker 7 (04:07):
Like, what what?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
And obviously the national media said the Bill would finished
third in the division.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
So this team has, in a sense too, like the
Broncos in a.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Different way, overachieved into being the two seed. But now
all that kind of forgotten because.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Now it's a new season and while they didn't have
the massive expectations before the season, you're the two seed,
hosting a.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Home playoff game, probably going to host the Ravens next
week against the other MVP candidate and Lamar Jackson. Now
there's the expectation. Now the pressure gets ramped up. We
know Sean McDermott has been great in the regular season,
it's a matter of how good can he be and
can he get over that hump in the postseason, because
that's all that really matters and all that any head
coach gets judged by.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
You know, here's something very interesting I heard two quotes
kind of I think coming from players and Bill Mafia,
especially here with Jonathan Van Cooper, and the phrase is
we all we got, we all we need? And as
I talk to different people here in the Denver market
and we look at the Buffalo wide receivers, it seems
(05:10):
as though they are kind of undermine it's not that
we all we got, we all we need here in
Denver's Like, those guys were not the Cincinnati Bengals receiver
so we're not We don't really have to fear there.
But what is it about that wide receiver group? Not
a bunch of household names? What is it about that
wide receiver group that have those in Bill Mafia feeling
(05:31):
as though this is the year?
Speaker 3 (05:34):
What is it?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Yeah? Yeah, it's a great point. And it goes back
to training camp when they got rid of Stefon Diggs
and everybody was kind of shocked about that. They embraced
this motto under Joe Brady as the offensive coordinator of
everybody eats and Natt Collins is another guy who is
a journeyman, kind of been around the league for a
while that they brought in and he kind of also
embraced this everybody eats and that hey, whoever's open is
(05:57):
going to get the ball. And you know, you kind
of bring your plate to the dinner table and when
it's your time to eat, you'll eat, and then you'll
sit and wait. So they have really Josh and Josh
is kind of said that's one.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Of the reasons that he's been so successful.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
This year is because he doesn't have a true number
one guy, so there's not this pressure to hey, this
first read, it's got to be there, and it's whoever's
open is getting the ball, and look, everybody eats. Kumbaya
philosophy is all great. And then the Bills lost two
games early on in the season, Week four and five,
they lost to the Texans and they lost to the Ravens,
and it's like, hey, it would be nice to have
(06:29):
a dude, It would be nice to have a guy
that you could depend on. Kaloshakira has been one of
the most dependable guys and again not a household name,
a fifth round pick on a Boise State, but he's
been really, really consistent, and that's what we've seen. But
these guys have just it's been one after another stepping up.
They made the trade in the middle of this season
(06:50):
and picked up Amari Cooper and like his second or
third game, he had like ten targets. And then he
goes into the game against the Lions where the Bills
put up forty eight points or something like that, zero targets,
and he goes, this is the most fun I've ever had.
Like that's the viber on this team. And I know
everybody wants to pin it back to.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Digs and things like that, but there.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
Really is this freshness this We're all rooting for each other,
like we all want everybody to succeed. And I know
that sounds like Pop Warner football, but it's worked. Josh
has been stepping up as a leader, and it really
has been whoever's open is going to get the ball,
and that's freed up. I think Josh in a big way.
Matt Collins leaves this team with five us eating touchdowns,
(07:28):
like what, Like it is kind of crazy to think
of like this ragtag bunch of guys because Keon Coleman
really hasn't panned out what they hoped he would be
as their you know, their first pick in the second
round of this year. So it really has been just
everybody's gonna eat whenever their time is due.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, you know, it's one of those things where it
kind of felt like this was an addition by subtraction,
and I mean you moved on from Digs and it
just it freed.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Josh up to spread the ball around a little bit.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
You know, Josh has worked his way in the In
the MVP conversation, Jass gets ap first team. Of course,
all quarterbacks that have won the MVP have been first
team date next twenty thirteen, but this year could be different.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (08:07):
What do you think of the overall resume there to
Josh need to play that last game of the.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Season to win the MVP. Yeah, I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It is really tricky because like, look, lamar stats.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Are better than Josh's, but Josh's stats were better than
Lamar last year, but Lamar had the number one seed
and that's kind of how he got it.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Trust me.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Then, so many Ravens fans had infiltrated our YouTube channel Buffalo,
plus they've infiltrated my Twitter account every time.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I tried to say anything nice about.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Josh's well what did he do with this game? The
thing I go back to is the Bills haves only
have two Pro Bowlers, they don't have a single All
Pro member. Josh has done more with less, Like you
were just talking about these wide receivers like who Mac Hollins,
Khalil Shakir, and Josh's putting up these kind of numbers.
Maybe I'm a little bit biased just because I've seen
(08:53):
it on a day to day basis of Josh catching
a touchdown pass against the Rams where the Niners, where
Murray Cooper flips the ball back to him, Josh's twelve
rushing touchdowns, like he has.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Been the heart and soul of this team.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
And when you think about, hey, if you were to
take Josh Allen off the Bills, they're probably a sick
I didn't win team. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Derrek Henry's been pretty good in his entire career, Dave Flowers.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Is pretty good. That defense is stacked by Baltimore. All
those things come into factor. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
I don't think there's a wrong answer.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I think that's where you don't need to knock one
guy then to compliment. You knock one guy down to
build off the other guys. Like when people talk about, oh, well,
he's not as good as Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Well, yeah, nobody's as good as Mahomes, but that doesn't
mean you have to knock Josh Allen because he's not
Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Two things to be true.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Lamar and Josh Allen.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Have both had incredible season. I give the edge a
little bit more to Josh because the national media said
this team would stink after they traded away Stefon Digg,
and Josh has actually been better. So I would give
this the slight.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Edge to Josh Allen.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
But I really don't think there's a wrong answer for Here's.
Speaker 6 (09:57):
Something that's very interesting to me because Josh has been
cessational all season along and we know what the stats are,
but there's something that's very interesting in compelling about the
televidit tape on Sunday's matchup. Josh has only been sacked
fourteen times, but the Broncos have a record sixty three sacks.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Something, something's got to change. The damn has got to break.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
There's a damn break for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday,
and we say.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Josh Allen gets like sacked four times. Is that a possibility?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
It's a possibility for sure.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I think Dion Dawkins should have earned some Ultirole honors for.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
How well he has played at left tackle, and I
think this offensive line as a whole has been really good.
It also helps that Josh allen his ability to not
have any negative plays. That was always the thing about
Josh is that he'd have these spectacular plays, but he'd
have the turnovers, he'd have the fumbles, he takes sacks
and lose twelve yards. Josh has the fewest negative plays
I think over they said up in the last six games,
I think he has like three negative plays and one
(10:58):
of them was a kneel down against the line. Like
that is how good he has been and I really
do that. It is an intriguing matchup between the best
pass rush against the quarterback that was stacked the least
this year. This offensive line for the Bills is really good.
Like across the line, they have been consistent, they have
been healthy all year, and Josh is really good against
(11:18):
the blitz. He's really good against man coverage. When you
know those cornerbacks and linebackers turn their back, he sees
that as a green light to go. In Josh's ten
career playoff games, he's averaged fifty six yards rushing like
he is not a praise at this point in the season,
where it used to be, Hey, Josh.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Can't take all these pits, that's out the window.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Screw that.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Now Josh puts his body on the line.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
His big frame six five, two fifty, and now he'll move.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So it will be an interesting chess match.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
To see, to your point, how much pressure they get
on him?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
How much does he move and his.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Legs beat the pressure?
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Is it the offensive line?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
It will be an interesting matchup because the Bills have
been pretty good at picking up blitzers on the backfield.
Ty Johnson, the Bill, the third down running.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Back, has been is their best at it. Uh. I
think you'll see a lot of Tidy.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Johnson mixed in with James Cook.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
And that'll be Uh, that'll be interesting to watch too.
The Broncos are struggled a little bit in containing passes, yeah,
to the running backs out of the backfield as you
watched it.
Speaker 7 (12:15):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
On the flip side of that, what is the way
to attack this Buffalo defense. It's gots roots in the
Tampa two. But uh, they do a few other things. Uh,
you know, the Broncos haven't seen a lot of Tampa
too well. Bonex certainly hasn't.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
But you know, this season, it looks like the key
is to beat.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Buffalo is to find a way to be able to
run the football against him and and find a way
to keep that that eight man rotation as waves.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Of pass rushers that they have, Uh you.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Know in Bay is there is there any other glaring
weakness on this defense third down?
Speaker 4 (12:43):
They are one of the worst dvo A third down
teams of a playoff team in like the last eight years,
like they had. They're historically good on first down, and
they are historically bad on third down, like And we
asked Sean McDermott about it this week because it's better
a reoccurring issue of giving up third and twelve, third
and fourteen, Like, how is this happening? And Sean said,
(13:05):
if it was one thing, we would have fixed it
by now.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
It's a bunch of miscommunications.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
It's a bunch of problems. It's a young secondary in
the safety position. It's not Poyer and Hide anymore. It's
DeMar Hammon and Taylor Rapt mixed in with rookie Cold
Bishop out of Utah. And Cold Bishop is a freak
of nature. He is flashed that moment, he's also gotten
beat over the top because he just doesn't have that
consistency or familiarity yet with this Sean McDermott, Bobby Babbage,
(13:33):
Stephen So there is he like said, the big thing
that is they've struggled at stopping to run. Denver doesn't
run the ball extremely well, and so I tend see
Bonhicks kind of airing it out, and Sean Payton says,
we're going to test these corners. Christian Benfer has been really,
really good as the number two corner. Rasul Douglas was
banged up a little bit at the end of the season.
He'll be back and fully healthy. But the third down
(13:55):
is where I'm looking at the most. If the Broncos
are converting fifty to fifty five percent, could be a
long day for the Bill. They will give up yard,
They will give up yards. They've been really good in
the Red Zilt. They have forced a lot of teams
to kick field goals, and so that that's where.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
I'm looking at the most.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
Love it, Dan, you got a prediction for us before
let's go?
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Yeah, I like it. I like the Bills in this
one thirty one high scoring.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Okay, all right, I'm here for it, looking forward to it,
looking forward to the game on Sunday. Have fun out
there and we'll talk to again soon.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Appreciate it then, thanks guy, absolutely take care.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Dan fis from Pham thirteen there Ian Buffalo. Always enjoy
talking to him about the Bills and getting his insight
on He seems to think this is gonna be a
higher scoring game.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
It has the potential.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
David Oger was all over that too, David, and I
was like, I think it's a low score. David was like,
I think his high scoring game.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
Looking at what Buffalo has been able to do over
the past couple of weeks. Once again, I go back
to the Detroit game, back to the Rams game. They
put up forty forty four points. They can score it,
they know how to score. Now, making this game somewhat
more of a light scoring game is going to depend
(15:08):
on what the Broncos defense, what they're actually able to do.
And listen, we've seen the Broncos put up what twenty
four points against the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Yeah, can you put up forty points? Yeah? I see
forty just like the.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Just like the Bengals. I think this is a game
where you need thirty points to win. You know it's
a race to thirty. Oh, I don't think it's thirty.
Speaker 7 (15:29):
Man.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Do you think it's more?
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Nope, I think it's I think it's you talk about
Josh Allen. They've scored forty to forty four points respectively.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
I've seen it. I just I don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
I feel like this was gonna wind up be in
a field goals type game that both teams are going
to catch each other in the red zone and uh
in defensive hold up. I feel like it's gonna be
a field Maybe I'm wrong. I've been wrong before. I'll
be wrong again. We'll see how that plays out when
we come back. We're gonna get to this NFL Weekends.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Pick them.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
I'm gonna show these two guys where they're wrong.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Rocus Country Line, Welcome back to it.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Broncos Country Tonight, Benjamin all Bright, Y Ferguson, Grant Smith

Dogs Groomers, Sister Podcast.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Yeah, everydays.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Like they're not really celebrating the best in podcasting, but
maybe the most famous people putting out podcast right right right.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
It's kind of kind of feels like the podcasting has changed.
Used to be about people putting their own stuff out there.
Now everybody's got one and we can get uh yeah, yeah,
I wonder celebrating such diverse categories as true crime and
true crime and pop culture and pop culture, is the
whole gamut really just.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Welfare o acting like Ron Burgundy. Yeah, that thing's still long.
I know what's that? What's the Julian Edelman and Rob
gun costco.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Ones on dudes Man one specific demo, one very specific demo.
Speaker 7 (17:04):
Is very disappointed in that I heard it's Nick Ferguson's
favorite podcast, dudes On Dudes Big Fannick.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
That's the first time I ever got the Nick Ferguson
death there.
Speaker 8 (17:17):
Oh, that's Daggers right there, you know, Ice Daggers just
stared at Grant Smith.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Alright, we're the be.
Speaker 8 (17:23):
A good person. Hooeye just got stared down here on
the football. Wait, you're about to get knocked out cold right?
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Wait?
Speaker 6 (17:29):
How did you give him the ice cold stare? I
just elected just to stay silent. I pleaded the fifth
on that one.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
I'm just glad there's no gatorade tables if you plead
the fifth.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Though, plead the fifth is saying I'm not gonna say
something cause I don't want to incominit it myself. So
you don't want to increminate yourself that you're a huge
fan of dudes on dudes, you can say if I.
Speaker 6 (17:46):
Praise it wherever you want to freeze it, my lips
are sealed.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
That's it, you know what, I that's probably the appropriate phrase.
Let's just say, with the title of that podcast, let's
go pick some games, and I'm probably not gonna get
away with that one.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Wildcard weekend.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
We got bloody games coming up here this week and
we're gonna start off on Saturday, where we got an
AFC doubleheader. The Chargers are at the Houston Texans. This
one is currently sitting at minus three seventy two percent
of bets seventy percent of money on the Chargers laying
the three points over under started forty four and a
half down to forty one and a half, eighty one
percent of bets, eighty two percent of money.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
On the over.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
On the money line at minus one fifty five, seventy
one percent of bets, seventy four percent of money on
the Chargers in this one. I love the Chargers to
beat the Houston Texans in Houston this weekend. If you
look at the injury reports, there's some trouble a little bit,
I think on the Chargers side of things.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
But other than that, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
I think the Chargers are one of the better teams
in the AFC, and I think the Texans have had
a big time fallback this year. I think the Chargers,
even though they are on the road, I think they
got a good shot.
Speaker 6 (18:53):
Yeah, the Houston Texas have fallen back to earth after
that sensation of rocky season. Probbabs longed the office, the
coordinator and CJ. Shroud the quarterback. But for me, there's
a lot of things here at stake, and one of
those things is for Jim Harbaugh. Like if he goes
out and he kind of wins his game, and you
just think about the factive coaches before him, Pete Carroll right.
(19:18):
Coming in your first season and winning your first playoff game,
that's a very difficult feat. But I do have confidence
in the Chargers to be able to do this because
you're going to sense the common theme as we go
through the rest of these games.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
C J.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
Stroud in that offense a lot for the Texas had
not done a great job protecting him. And he doesn't
have Tankdell, he doesn't have Stefan Diggs. So pressure with
limited options means you lose.
Speaker 7 (19:42):
Game the Chargers win. That's a great point, Nick, And
I think CJ. Stroud did have a little bit of
a sophomore slump this year, but I think a lot
of it is to do with his line not protecting him,
and I think that's a recipe for disaster in the playoffs.
And the Texans, I mean, once they wrapped up that
division early on, they did not look like good team.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
The rest of the year. I like on cruise.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
We're on cruise control and that's not a good good
way to go into the playoffs. And Jim Harball just
knows how to win games. It doesn't matter how you win.
I don't think it's going to be pretty, but they're
gonna run the ball, they're gonna play good defense, and
I like the Chargers on the road as well.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, I'm with you. That's three out of three there.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
And the second game on Saturday at Ford Steelers, they
hit on the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. This one started
off Ravens minus eight and a half is pretty much
the same. You can find some Steelers plus nine and
a half if you look hard enough. Fifty seven percent
of bets are on the Ravens, but the money's dead even.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
At fifty percent over.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Under started at forty six and a half has fallen
to forty three and a half, seventy five percent of bets,
sixty four percent of money on the over. On the
money line, eighty eight percent of bets are on the Ravens,
but only sixty four percent of money twenty four percent
split there. There's there's a big money on the Steelers
in this one. I that's a big spread. I think
this game is going to be tight. I think it's
going to be close, and it's the third time these
(20:54):
teams are playing each other this season.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I think the Steelers are on the wrong end to
where they want their offense to be at the end
of the year.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
I kind of give it an edge to the Ravens here,
but I like the Steelers to cover.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
You know what's funny.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
You know, sibling rivalries are always tough, and that's why
I look at this game between you know, Mike Tomlin
and Coach Holda. They constantly played each other over the years,
and that usually determines the number one seed who makes it.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
To the Super Bowl. All of those things are facted in.
And also keep this in mind.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
I mean, Lamar beat Pittsburgh to get that buggablue off
his back in the regular season, but he hasn't beaten
up in the postseason, which I think he gets it done.
You know why, because the Pittsburgh still is up the
line they can't protect.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Just like well we were talking about with c. J.
Speaker 7 (21:38):
Stroud and the Texans and you know they back ended
their way into the playoffs as well.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
They lost their last four games.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
And man, George Pickens, why can't he catch the ball
like he's a great receiver when he does. But that
last game against the Bengals, he had so many big
time drops with that could have kept them in the game.
I just I don't know about the Steelers. I would
love for Mike Tomlin to get this win. I think
that would be big time for him. And I'm still
a Russell Wilson fan, but I just don't see enough
(22:07):
of it. Did you guys see the last episode of
The Hard Knocks?
Speaker 3 (22:10):
No, I hadn't seen that. Oh it's so good, and
especially at the end.
Speaker 7 (22:13):
I mean, even as a noted Bengals fan, they showed
the Broncos just whooping up on the Chiefs and the
Bengals getting so deflated at it's like, well, it's the
score now, Oh it's thirty eight to nothing, and.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
You just see him kind of pack up their stuff.
Speaker 7 (22:26):
But I like the Ravens to win this game, and
I like the Ravens to cover. By the way, a
fun fact, first team All Pro quarterback has won the
MVP every year since twenty thirteens.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Yeah, that's what I think.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
I think they win they I think they win this game,
and I think Lamar is your MVP.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Interesting. I don't know. I feel like we have just teams.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
That played each other that often tend to get closer.
Speaker 7 (22:48):
And closer every every single time you eat your players
winning earlier this year.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yeah, we'll see. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It's interesting the Steelers canceled at cross promotional tie in
that they had, you know whatever the safe say benefit
because the Steelers offensive line couldn't protect anything.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
I was wondering where that was, Like, where's he going?
Hear that? That's going on?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Yeah, that PSA that they had, but they couldn't protect anything,
so they did even.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
All right, I tell you we're going to Sunday.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
We'll skip the brou because the bills for now and
come back to that one. Packers at the Eagles two
thirty game. Packers started off plus three and a half.
Now they're getting four and a half. You can find
Eagles might as five and a half some places as well.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Fifty nine percent of bets.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
On the Eagles, fifty one percent of money on the Packers,
though over under started a forty seven out of forty
five and a half, eighty three percent of bets, seventy
one percent of money on the over here on the
money line.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Eighty six percent of bets, eighty eight.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Percent of money on Philadelphia. I love Philadelphia to witness
game by what margin? I don't really know. You know
this five and a half number is a little bit
weird to me. Packers. Last year they started cold and
got hot at the end of the year. This year's
been the opposite. They started off the year pretty hot,
They've gotten worse as the year progressed on to the
point where people are questioning the love thing uh there
(24:01):
at times as well.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
I like Philadelphia. I think Philadelphia might be.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
The best team in the NFC not named Detroit when
detroit'st full strength.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
I like Philly. I kind of like Philly.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Barring injury to make it to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
What's say your next? Ferguson?
Speaker 6 (24:15):
This one is very hard for me because Jalen Hursts
is still going through the concussion.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Protocolay clear today, get clear today?
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Yeah see, he cleared it today.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
But I'm still a little skeptical because I've been in
that concussion protocol before and sometimes you know, you may
not be exactly yourself when they put you back out
there on the field. Now, if we're talking about a
healthy Jalen Hurts absolutely signed me up, the game would
be tight and the Eagles actually win.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
The ball game. But if Hurts is not, yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:51):
That makes it difficult. It seemed like I'm just kind
of on the fence, doesn't it.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
It does here? Man, who are you picking? You know what?
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Screw it?
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Fly Eagles Fly, Fly, Eagles fly.
Speaker 7 (25:05):
Well, we can't forget last year Packers going down to
Dallas and winning that playoffs game on the road that
was against Dallas. Yeah, and the Cowboys always find a
way to step things up, especially in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Didn't even get there this year. I'm a little worried
about Jalen Hurts too. I don't know. I mean, is
he gonna be a little rusty. We'll see.
Speaker 7 (25:22):
But I think the X factor in this game is
Saquon Barkley. I mean, he is just gonna run all
over the Packers, I believe. And the Packers losing Christian Watson.
I know he doesn't have a ton of numbers, but
he is their deep threat a lot of times.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
And now he's out with.
Speaker 7 (25:34):
The torn ACL So I think the Eagles sneak by
in this game. I think I think this is going
to be a high scoring, fun game to watch, and
I think the Eagles find a way to win an.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Philly boat racism and they're gonna have to have rote
me changes legally changed his last name from Dubbs to ls.
Speaker 8 (25:51):
We're done here Sunday nights, our old Washington Commanders.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
I texted Coach Pagano. He's elated.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
What a season the Commanders taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This one started off mantage plus three, has seated at
Commander's plus three and seventy three percent of bets, eighty
five percent of.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Money on the Commander's visiting the bucks there. Oh, the
over understarted fifty and a half.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Stated fifty and a half, seventy four percent of bets,
seventy eight percent of money on the over. On the
money line, sixty four percent of bets are on the Bucks,
but fifty six percent of money on the Commanders. That's
a twenty percent spread. Means the sharps and the big
buny bets are on the Commanders here. I like Washington
and Jayden Daniels to come in to Tampa and pull
(26:30):
off the upset.
Speaker 7 (26:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I liked the commanders who as well.
Speaker 6 (26:34):
But I will have to say this, and uh, you know,
Coach Bagana a good friend.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
He may not like this, but it is true. Boy.
You look at the.
Speaker 6 (26:42):
Fact Bucky Irving and how he's progressed this season. And
how poorly that Washington Commanders defense has been against the run.
I mean, he is gonna be that one player that's
gonna keep the game closed. He's gotta keep exciting, right,
But I just feel that it comes down to.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
The two effects.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
Nothing against Baker Mayfield, but Jane Daniel's rookie year.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Has been sensational and he has.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Led a couple of late drives, which has given him
a lot of confidence that he could do it.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
So I'm gonna ride at the Commanders on this one.
Speaker 7 (27:14):
I hate to get on Coach Pegano's bad side, but Nick,
you and I were talking about how sometimes you've got
to create a chip on your shoulder, which it's going
into these games. Yes, Baker Mayfield never has to create
that chip on his shoulder because it has always provided
to him by the national media. He once again, look
at his numbers this year, forty five hundred passing yards,
forty one touchdowns, not even in the Pro Bowl, Like,
(27:37):
what are we doing here, Baker Mayfield. He's gonna throw
his in in his lip, He's gonna get the ball
down the field to Mike.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Evans, and he's gonna win this game at home.
Speaker 7 (27:45):
I like the Bucks in this game, and depending on
who they take on in the next round, I like
the Bucks to maybe make it to the NFC Champe.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
I'm riding with Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
He's gonna be playing his flag just like he did
in Oklahoma. Whenever he's going up against the Commander. They're
gonna win this game. I like Jaydon Daniels, but it's
not his time yet.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
I don't know what's in your cup, but it's got
you charged up. I like your Mayfield guy, man, I
like it.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Grant said Baker, don't call him Faker Mayfield, and he
sees here for By the way, the Commanders are getting
a Latimore back at the corner.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
For this game.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
We all know the battles that he's had back when
he was in New Orleans, you know Mike Evans.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
So I'm definitely gonna be too. I here, I'm here
for it. This is it gets crab Tree to leave
all over again. Someone's ripping a chain of Yeah.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
Well, you know the first rule of the fight club, right,
I don't talk about that's right, you don't talk about fight.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Club Monday night vikings.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Taking on the Rams and probably the most uh anticipated
or hotly contested at least anticipated to be hotly contested
matchup of wild Card weekend as will start off minus
two and a half.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
It's going to Arizona.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
It's moved back to two and a half. Fifty two
percent of money on the Rams, who are technically the
home team, even though it's an Arizona over under started
forty seven have state there eighty two percent of bets,
eighty two percent of money on the over Here on
the money line, however, everyone is on Minnesota, seventy four
percent of bets, eighty five percent of money on the
Minnesota Vikings. I like the Vikings, especially since this thing's.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Been moved out of La to Arizona.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
I don't understand why they didn't go to Las Vegas either,
which is only three hours away.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I don't understand that either.
Speaker 6 (29:21):
I mean, if you really want to say it's still
a home for advantage for the Rams those fans who
want to travel, but based on what's happening in La
with the fires, you have to figure that a lot
of fans are not gonna be thinking about football as
a way to deal with the situation. And I'm gonna
go have to go out on the limit. I'll say this,
I'm gonna go. But being in Minnesota, I still think
(29:43):
it's gonna be a tight game because you still have
Cooper Cup and put in the core and Curl Wison
I mean Williams and being able to run the ball
the way that the Rams have been able to.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Run the ball. They're gonna present some challenges.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
So this could be one of those shootout games in
the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Yeah, but Minnesota defense.
Speaker 7 (30:01):
Minnesota's defense is tough, regardless of what they did against
the Lions last week.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
But I like the Rams in this game.
Speaker 7 (30:08):
We played some audio earlier on KOA Sports from Peter
Schrager on Good Morning Football, and he was talking about
how he thinks Sean Payton's going to have some tricks
up his sleeve against the Bills this weekend. I think
Sean McVeigh is going to out coach Kevin O'Connell in
this game. I think he's going to give us a
little trickery. And I like the Rams to win this game.
And thoughts and prayers out to everyone out in La. Man,
(30:28):
what a devastating thing out there.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Well, yeah, I can't make much arkey comment after congrats
said that, so I just believe that one on the sidelines.
I think that I like the way you can see
this one, the more experienced defense. The one thing about
the Rams, they have a great offense, but their defense
is young. There's something to be said for young and Hungary,
but a young defense, young inexperienced defense in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
I don't know that. I'm betting that you know.
Speaker 6 (30:50):
What this says up perfectly because you have the master
versus the student paddawada apprentice.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Yes, and they both.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
Know one another well, but it's like who can deploy
the scheme the best.
Speaker 7 (31:03):
And as good as a season that Sam Darnold had,
how much do you trust him in a playoff game?
Speaker 3 (31:07):
That's the other question there. This is gonna be a
big time thing for him.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
I think Donald's gonna get franchise there by Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
We'll see how that one shakes out.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
We got the Bills, We got the Broncos, Broncos at
Buffalos from start.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Off plus eight and a half, Rocos getting nine and
a half.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Now sixty percent of bets, fifty five percent of money
on the Bills lay in the eight and a half
over under forty seven and a half, and everybody's on
the over, eighty two percent of bets, ninety one percent
of money on the over at forty seven and a
half on the money line, ninety one percent of bets,
eighty one percent of money on Buffalo. Here, Like I said,
I like Buffalo to win.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
I like the Broncos to cover.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
Yeah, I think this is going to be a defining
moment for the Broncos as they get themselves back in
the playoffs. I think the Buffalo and Josh Allen they
went at home because obviously Josh Allen has his mindset
on beating the Chiefs and trying to find.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
A way to cubment his legacy.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
But the Broncos are going to make it a good game,
and they're gonna make you close.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
What's that for?
Speaker 7 (32:02):
Because I'm sitting in here with a bunch of wet blankets.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
What are you doing doing?
Speaker 7 (32:06):
And wet blanket all Bright over here, we got wet
blanket Ferguson.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Now, whoa whoa, whoa, Hey, you're.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
Back in the playoffs for the first time since the
Super Bowl fifty teen, Young and hungry. Like Ben just
mentioned and Sean Payton mentioned.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
All this year, it is dangerous.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
Bow Nick's going on the road, walking quarterback on the road.
They're gonna pull off this upset. You don't how much
I get paid a chance.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
You should have told them monopoly money.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
No, I think the Broncos are going to surprise the
people this weekend. I like him, I like this game.
Speaker 6 (32:45):
I like them to keep it closed and and nothing
would make me feel much better if the Broncos were
not able to go into Buffalo and upset the Buffalo Bills.
But but Josh Allen, the ability to make plays outside
of the pocket is a problem, and it has been
a problem.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
That's the thing that concerns me. Well, we'll see how
shakes how we got more VCT when we come back.
