maybe in twenty twenty three were definitely last year you
looked at the Broncos and said, man, like they are

I've done one so far, I think, and so I
think I don't know in the next one. I think
I have to do one more, at least before the
actual draft. So I believe I'm just on one point zero,
which put me way behind about like seventeen four and
sixty four other mock drafters.

So okay, now that you've completed one, what do you
have the Broncos doing at twenty.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
I had them. I did this after the first week
of free agency so I could sort of see how
the roster came together, And even after the first week
of free agency, I had them taking Colson Lovelands. Now
I think it's an open question whether he'll actually be
available at twenty, but I didn't. I just for as
much as I'm an Ingram fits what they want to

do and all of that, Like, I just don't think
it takes away the need or the wants to add
a guy who can be a really dynamic, you know,
path catcher at that position. And I just I wouldn't
be surprised that the right guys obviously got to be there.
But I guess it's just the Ingram signing didn't move

me off of thinking that that's still an area that
they'll want to address early in the draft.

I completely agree, and I'm not saying that they'll take
a tight end right there, and I'm not sure Loveland's
our guy, but I completely agree they need somebody who
has the ability to play in line because Evan Ingram's
just not that guy.

Mean, he's a heavy slot guy.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
He barely plays twenty percent of his snaps from in line,
and so you're gonna have to find you have to
find somebody who has the ability to do that. I
would not be surprised. I mean if if Amrian Hanson
was there at twenty and then you come back in
a second round with a Mason Taylor, you know, I
wouldn't be I wouldn't be surprised or something like that.
But there's a there's a going a growing theory something
I approached on this show a few weeks ago, and
it's kind of growing. I think in these mock draft

communities that the Giants are trying to get Travis Hunter
at three and then trade back up and get Shador
if he slides.

Twenty would be a perfect spot to.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Trade up a few of the Giants because it puts
you right in front of Pittsburgh. Who's in that quarterback
market might be looking at your door, might be looking
at Jackson Dark. What do you think about the idea
of the Broncos possibly trading out of the first round
in this draft?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, I would. I wouldn't mind it now, obviously, you know,
it depends on how sort of like where you are
in your bell curve of talent right, But I think,
like we heard George S. Payton say this. He made
a joke actually in Palm Beach earlier this week on Monday,
when he said, like, I don't bring the trade down
scenarios to Sean until the day out, because there's no
point in even like trying to get him to lit

into it before it's right in front of them. But
you know, like, I think they're in the part of
the draft, especially if you think that this year there's
maybe slightly fewer number of like true first round talents,
but also that there's a pretty nice set of sort

of starter caliber players after that. Like, I think, I
don't think that's a bad idea, especially if you're and
I don't know exactly what the Giants capital looks like,
but especially if you're adding you know, a second round
if you can get a second round pick, or if
you can add two extra picks, or you know, if
it's right at the top of round three, like those
are areas where you can do some damage. And I
think the other thing it does is it gives you,

you know, ammunition to potentially, let's say you're drafting right
at the top of the second round, then to move
up from fifty one, if you want to do that
as well, you've got a couple of extra you know,
chips to do that with. So that area, it seems
to me that like it's possible to have multiple options
of players they like at twenty and also that there's

a bunch of guys they could really use that probably
won't be there by fifty one, and so maybe somewhere
in between there is a good area to try to operate.

You know, Parker, I'm a you know, big fan of
familiarity and trying to make life easier for your players
from a coaching standpoint, and I can't help but think about,
you know, Bo Nicks, because obviously, with his success last
year and the team going to the playoffs, everything is
based on setting him up for success. And with that

being said, there's a young guy in this upcoming draft.
I was really talking about him a lot, but he
is familiar with Bo, and Bo is familiar with him,
and that's has Johnson.

Do you could you envision.

The situation maybe late in the draft that the Broncos
said with Tedz Johnson is still on the board, just
go out and get someone that Bo really knows, and
he knows bo as well.

I mean, you know Nick may late in the draft.
I just I was, you know, he's small and like
when you watch him, like he is a great watch,
Like he makes people miss. He's dynamite in the open fields.
All of that. He was one hundred and fifty four
pounds at the combine. I mean, he's thirty pounds wider
than Marvin Mems. And what Sean Payton says, you know

about small wide receivers. You know, he always says, it's
not that we don't like small receivers, it's just that
small receivers have to walk on water. And so like
maybe they think that about Ted Johnson, Like his ten
yards split, the cone drills were all really good. He
ran four or five to one at one hundred and
fifty four pounds. Like, I'm just I'm not sure about

that one. I'll give you a different name that bow
Nick would be familiar with. Dante Thornton Junior. He's a
wide receiver, finished his career at Tennessee with at Oregon
before that is the guy who ran four to three.
He's six', four not polished at. All but if you
were asking me about a day three flyer type of
guy that Bo nix is familiar. WITH i might give

rather than a guy that's one hundred and fifty four
pounds you can.

defensive Lineman ed rusher's, offensive lineman guys that you don't
just walk down the, and, say, like yep there's a
guy who's six for five and three hundred and fifteen
pounds and runs sub five and. The forty so it
wouldn't surprise me at all if that was the direction
they ended. Up going and certainly it wouldn't surprise ME
if i think you're right then on running back and

know a little bit more In The ted, johnson mold
although Bigger, than ted guys that are much smaller but
