Speaker 1 (00:00):
The four six reach out and said, isn't it ironic
that even Starbucks list the flavors the PSL is nutmeg
and cinnamon, pumpkin and spice. Just another lie from Big Pumpkin.
Take that, Ryant Edwards. So, yeah, all is uh. If
you guys want look, and I've got nothing against that.
If you want a nutmeg and cinnamon milkshake, that is
entirely up to you. But quit calling it coffee. It's

(00:20):
not a coffee. I don't I'm not gonna grouse on
that one any further. Let's go out to kaokoas hotline
and bring on a guy Paul. Charge him. He was
with Fantasy Life over there with Matt Barry, the Gailting Leagues.
I think he's a found of Gatting Leagues. And if
I'm not mistaken, you either work with or worked with
our guy Paul Allen out there. Paul, How you doing?
You know, I'm doing great.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Nice to talk to you, Benjamin al Yes, Paul Allen
one of my close friends. We've worked together for twenty five.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Years on KFA and another iHeart.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
All sports station in the Twin Cities. And Paul is
as apparently you know the voice of the Vikings, and
I think the one of the one of the great
radio voices across the country.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, I love Paul. Had a chance chat with him,
come down here Denver a couple of times, done some
work and worked out of somewhere studios, had a chance
to chat with him, and that was where I think
it was. This this past summer, he popped in for
a minute and we had a conversation with him. I
was talking about what I knew about the Aaron Rodgers
thing at the time, and I was like, I will
I will get out of the industry if Aaron Rodgers
becomes a Minnesota Viking. So he got a good laugh

(01:19):
out of that, I think, I think back at the time.
So anyway, but good to have you on, Paul. As
I got to tell you, there's a little bit of
an ulterior motive me iBook guests that that benefit me.
My fantasy football team is struggling right now as I
drafted Malik Neighbors, Ceedee Lamb, and Mike Evans right out
of the gate. Uh, and we're struggling. I mean I'm
scanning the waiver wires for Pop Douglass at this point.

(01:41):
I need some help. Here is there anybody out there
before we get into it? Are there any wide receiver flyers?
I should be out here looking at that that I
can do to help myself. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Well, as a matter of fact, there's there are a
handful of guys that I think you're gonna you can.
You can pivot to one of them tomorrow night. Forty
nine ers are in such a bad spot.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
They're missing there, They're missing George Kittle. Brad Perty is
not gonna go. And I can understand you don't necessarily.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You know, hook your wagon too, Mac.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Jones, but uh no, they will not have Duwan Jennings.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
They won't to Ricky Piersoll. You're starting wide receivers, you
Kendrick Bourne and DeMarcus Robinson in a pinch you could
go to You could go to one of them. Alternately,
if you want to replace Malik Neighbors directly.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
That would be an opportunity.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Wen Dale Robinson would be a possibility.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Malik Washington is going to fill.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
In in Miami as a as a wide receiver now
that Tyreek Hill has done. So that's another opportunity that
you could use. Darius Slayton in New York another guy
you could go with so, yeah, oh, and while we're
I mean, while we're just dredging up deep sleepers here,
Isaiah Bond is your starting wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns.
Uh So, that's that's another possibility to Cedar Tillman going

(02:50):
on ire Ma, that's gonna.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Be fascinating to see how he pairs up with Dylan
Gabriel over there, the old Dylan Gabriel to Isaiah Bond.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
That'll get you a fantasy grateful.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Out there, Paul.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
With that, With that said that, there's a big game
for the Denver Broncos here on Sunday, heading to Philadelphia.
And when you look at sa Kuon Barkley like a
year ago, oh like more than a two thousand yards
on the ground, not so much this season. Well, you,
if you're a fantasy owner, you have a guy like
Saquon Barkley, are you going to sit him or are

(03:25):
you going to start him against the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
So it's funny how you first, I'm attacking your Broncos
on the ground if I can, so, I don't want to.
I don't want to face your pass rush, your secondary.
So I do think there's gonna be plenty of rushing here,
Barkley hasn't looked nearly as good. I don't think anybody
would have expected Sakuon Barkley and through the first quarter
of the season to be averaging three point one yards

(03:49):
per carry. That's it, and it's not for a lack
of rushing attempts. He's averaging nineteen carries a game. So
they've they've they've been doggedly giving him carries. Now, It's funny,
like everything broke Barkley's way last year.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
He had all those long touchdown runs that he was
seven runs of.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Over forty yards last year. Even though his quarterback had
scoop scoops up all those tush push touchdowns, he still
had a ton of touchdowns last year, ended up finishing
with thirteen and two I think fifteen total touchdowns last year.
It all, it's everything that sort of broke his way
last year. It just isn't happening this so far this season.

(04:30):
I'm not saying that I would necessarily sell Saquon Barkley,
but you know, if you want to try to.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
He's still got tons of name cachet. Despite the fact
that he's sitting right now.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
As the seventeenth highest scoring fantasy running back coming in
his scoring system roughly seventeen.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
You could shop him and see if you can.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Get an a you know, a quality runner in return
that might.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Not be you know, if you can turn him into
Jon Robinson dug last year.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
You know, why not work the poems.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
All you with Paul Chargi in from the Fantasy Life,
with Matt Berry out there. Yeah, there's uh, there's a
lot going on with this this Broncos thing that it
is frustrated people. I think a lot of people in
the beginning we're looking at the RG Harvey thing. Although
those of us on the ground a practice black too.
JK is going to be the lead guy here, Evan Ingram.
We were promised, you know, a lot of fantasy greatness there.
I haven't seen that materialized just yet. But if you're

(05:18):
a you're a if you were a buyer in these
Broncos guys, are you are you a holder right now
as this thing goes along?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Well, I mean, you know, I guess very broadly, are
we talking or players specific? I mean, I guess you'll
give me a little dial me in a little bit
on this question you're asking me, you know, do I
am I buying the offense in general, then I think yes,
because I think bo Nix is only going to get
better and Courtland Sutton's just a freaking beast.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I love that guy, and.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't know, he was one of my favorite, uh
one of one of my most roster players, drafting him
a ton because I love having like true alpha receivers
on my fantasy teams where you know, the passing offense
goes largely through one guy in Courtland Sutton, who plays
what makes that passing offense pick and you get.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Because of that big body and the contested catches get
you get Courtland Sutton an opportunity in the end zone
and he takes advantage of it. I love those things
about Courtland Sutton. I think you just you got to
pick your spots on.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
A lot of the other players.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
JK.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Dobbins safe every week. But then if you get to
Franklin and Vims, you got to pick your spots and
figure out which weeks you want to go with. This
is probably not one of them. Obviously, there's a very
good Eagles defense, and they've got two really good corners
in one corner.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Well, Paul, what would you say about some of those
fantasy owners, because at the beginning of the season, with
the idea that you got JK. Dobbins and RJ. Harvey,
it was like, Okay, with the Broncos, running backs are
going to get a hefty worklow. So picking up Dobbins
and RJ. Harvey was kind of one of those things
that you wanted to do. And I've seen even in
the league that I'm in, like two weeks ago, guys

(06:50):
start dumping JK.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Dobbins and RJ. Harvey. Now, yes, great game against the
Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
First hundred yard rusher and JK Dobbins since Latavia's Murray
in I think it was twenty twenty two. So would
you say, moving forward, fantasy owners, man, that you need
to get back on that train, that Dobbin's RJ.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Harvey train.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Well, Dobbins, yes, I mean, Harvey got so much of
his work in mop up time, and I'm you know,
I think Harvey's you know, there will be time for Harvey.
But you know, Dobbins is so good at so many things,
including pass blocking, one of the best pass blocking running
backs in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
He's just not coming.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Off the field and he shouldn't Dobbins looks really really
looks really good.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
And that's not to say that Harvey doesn't have the right.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
To get better. He probably will. Most rookies struggle out
of the gate. So far this year, there's only been
two good Fantasy rookies consistently, Bud Fantasy rookies Amika Buka
and Tyler Warren that hit and even last year, like
you know, if September was is so hard on rookies,
October is when they start to make their move and

(07:56):
that maybe that's going to be the case with R. J.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Harvey.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
But I just think there's nothing to not like about JK.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Dobbins.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
He's got the trust of his coaching staff, and we
know that Sean Payton is a tough guy to get
off of his spot. It took Alvin Kamara in the
better part of six seven weeks before he started getting
a lot of carries for Sean Payton. He's a guy
who's got a Hall of Fame level of talent. So
I just think, I think Dobbins hasn't done anything to
lose to deserve to lose carries, and I don't think

(08:23):
it's going to change. You tell me, I mean, you know,
you follow this team every day at a mind at
a minutia level. So you tell me you think you
think Dobbins has done anything to lose significant work j Harvey.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
No, I don't. I think that JK. Dobbins and Harvey
deserve more of a worklow. But that that's me being
a guy that worked in San Francisco with College Shanahan
and I played for Mike Shanahan and known as though
they used the run game to set the past.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
So that's me. I'm different he was. I'm not calling
to play.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
He wants the running backs to get a bigger workload share,
I mean even, and to be fair, even though they
got a bigger share this past week, we still throw
the ball or dropped back almost fifty times against the Bengals, Like,
what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
A great point? Why are you throw them about forty
two times in a lopstetty game in which I mean
the score was not even indicative of how of how
lopsided of that game was. He was out of hand
at it by the end of the first quarter. And
I'm kind of with you. You could you know that
could have been a spot where you protect bone nicks
a little bit but also Nicks hadn't played all that
well through the first three games, so maybe Peyton was

(09:24):
just trying to get him into a groove and you know,
try to get some try to get some success under
his belt for this season, which obviously did. Sutton, Mims,
Franklin all had more than fifty five yards.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Yeah, I think I'm okay with it in the sense
if you're trying to get the offense back in a rhythm.
But around here, Sean Payton's got a little bit of
a reputation. You know, he's kind of the Marty Schottenheimer
of the pass, and so you know, we got has
a little bit of of a reputation with that. I
want to do a couple of fantasy football theory things
with you here real quick. One, I need you to
explain guillotine leagues, as is the creator of guillotine leagues.
I need you to explain this to us because this

(09:56):
is the latest fad sweeping fantasy football. At least everybody
I talked to does it. I have no idea what
I'm talking about because I haven't done one yet. And
then I want to get deeper in this because quarterbacks,
rushing quarterbacks get a disparate number of Fantasy points. Justin
field sucks out loud and somehow is still like winning
people leagues, and I need you to explain how we
can fix this scoring disparity with real life.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
All right, well, let's start the ATIN leagues the way
it works, and you can start anytime. You can start
a league right now with as many teams as you want.
The way it works is, instead of playing head to
head every week, the lowest scoring team gets chopped from
the league forever, and older players go to the waiver
wire where the rest of us bid on those players
and start building super star rosters to try to run

(10:41):
the rest of the table and just not finish last.
So it's a totally different strategy where all you're trying
to do is never finish last in any given week,
and you get to build these amazing rosters over time
as you bid on the players that get cut from
these other teams.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Super fun, super fresh way to play.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
If you've got the league right now, you can take
the all the same people draft today in a guillotine league,
start this second league and have a ton of fun
and just play until there's one team left and that
team is a champion. So that's the guillotine league format.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
The rushing story.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
And I think this is start You're what you're hitting on, edgement.
It's starting to hit in fantasy circles where these second
and third tier.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Quarterbacks passers end up being very valuable. You mentioned justin fields.
Look at Jackson Jackson dark last week. He took like
one hundred and fifteen yards, but he was a middle
of the pack quarterback.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Because he can run. You run in a touchdown and.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
That ends up breaking apart scoring system.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
So we are starting to.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
See some leagues that are dialing back the points that
quarterbacks get for rushing. It's not most aren't.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Doing it that way.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
But if you want to be more of a purist
for the game and you want your you want great
quarterbacks to be rewarded for great passing, that's that's how
you do it.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Well, we've seen a lot of quarterbacks really change the
hearts in the minds of a lot of individuals. In
what I mean by that, you think about Justin Herberts
and Daniel Jones, I mean there are a lot of
people who think that Justin Herbert, I mean he's not
a top quarterback.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
I mean going into New York.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
They were undefeated, but they lose to Jackson Dart of.

Speaker 5 (12:15):
All people, but Daniel Jones as well.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
I mean, do you think watching these two quarterbacks that
fans should be really excited, whether you're fantasy owners with
these guys on your roster or not, looking at how
they've kind of somewhat overcome what people have said about
them negatively.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yeah, that's part of what makes that's a part of what.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Makes football great and fantasy football is the people who
stubbornly stick with their preconceived notions and of suffering. And
you need to be mentally sharp and be willing to
reassess as time goes on because things change, Players get better,
players get worse, and you have to be able to
identify what's happening. When you're having fun watching football.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
On Sunday, you need to be checked your preconceived remote.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Notions and figuring out what's what is changing in real time.
Herbert's great.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Now.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
The offensive lines in tatters. They're missing three starters from
their offensive line now, and that's going to put them
in a buying like it did last week in all probability.
But Herbert's fantastic. He's got three very good wide receivers,
and Quentin Johnson we had left for dead and right
now he's the top five fantasy wide receiver. Speaking about
preconceived motion notions, Rember, Quentin Johnson had dropped more balls than.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
A Hernia a specialist. Oh look, the guy's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
And if all you did was just like.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
No, I'm not drafting that guy. I can remember six
of his drop well, then you end up losing your
fantasy leagues.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
That's you know, That's part of the beauty of fantasy
football is staying on your toes and keeping up with
what's happening.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
The eight two Way says Justin Feels doesn't suck. He's
a top thirty running back in this league. So there
we go. Gotta love gotta love that three three texted
question in for you, Paul. He says, both by tight
ends are questionable. He's got Jay Johnson and Wall which
would you play.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
I don't think Johnson's gonna go. He's This is a
New Orleans tight end who's been.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
A revelation this year.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Juan Johnson. He's been He's been great. Part of what's
working against him, not just the injury, but also Foster Moreau,
the backup who they were kind of splitting time last year.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
He may come back to this game.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Casam Hill is now I.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Are eligible to come off for this game. So if
Johnson goes, you kind of have to start him because
he's been really, really good and Waller only on the field.
He scored the two touchdowns on on Monday Night, but
Darren Waller was on the field nine snaps.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
He's not scoring two touchdowns again unless that number goes
way up. So ideally we start Johnson and we're not
going to reach for those those two touchdowns in last
week's box score for Waller.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Talk about Paul Charchion at Paul Chargian on Twitter, all right,
I need a deep poll from you. The text line
is asking who's your biggest sleeper this week?

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Nobody's talking about, Well, it looks like Arizona's starting running back.
It's going to be a combo. It could be either well, okay,
I'm going to back up.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
First.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
We know that James Connor went out, then Trey Benson
was the starter, then he just got put on IR today.
So the pivot move today with the Arizona Cardinals is
Amar Demarcado is has been their number three runner, but
he's always been like their past catching back and their
you know, their change of pace back. The thinking is

(15:26):
that Michael Carter is going to.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Be the starter.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
He is a former Jets draft pick and he's going.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
To walk into a starting role. And he said.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Today things that players never normally say.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
He said, I'm going from the practice squad to a starting.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Role this weekend.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
So he told us he's going to be the starter.
So your waiver wires starting running back is Michael Carter
if you want to try him, Amar de Mercado. If
you're looking for points on a handful of reception, that
might be the play. So there's there's a couple of
deep sleepers.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
For you that may may very well be a bailed
on the waiver wire. Well, now I feel validated because
I went out and got Michael Carter this morning and
in both my leagues, and now I feel pretty validated.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Perfect love It'll You should a nice job, Paul.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
We appreciate you having you on and look forward to
to checking in with you again throughout the season here
getting some fantasy football advice for these listeners. Really appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
It's been a lot of fun. Thanks guys, we'll talk.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
To you down the road. Absolutely, Paul Charchi and had
Paul Charchian on Twitter. We got to hit a break
Brokos Country night back after this. Nice to Paul Charchian
the Fantasy Life for joining us in the last segment.
We're going to try and get him on that season.
Gets some fantasy football updates and advice. And Scott created
the Guillotine League, so you know, nice to have somebody
who created that kind of stuff to get in there

(16:40):
to be able to to talk about that said, talk
about the week. It was just started off with the
Seahawks at the Cardinals and disappointment for myself for a
win on the road.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
Proud of a friends, he cooks nuff good hold the
kick by Myers all the.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Way it is good.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
At the Seattle Seahawks get a twenty three to twenty win,
the last second field goal by Jason Myers.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
That called courtesy of Westwood One's Ryan Coogler and Seahawks
big divisional win that they did.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
The Cardinals finally shut up in the second half of
that game and him made it interesting. Oh I finished
but fourteen to three, seventeen to three midway through the
third quarter before the Cardinals finally turned it on and
Seattle wins a game four seconds left Jason Myers on
a fifty two yard field goal. Marvin Harrison didn't look
like he made the trip to the stadium until the
second half, finished with six catches, sixty six yards and

(17:34):
a touchdown on ten targets. However, Kyler Murray five rushes,
forty one yards, forty one passes, two hundred yards, two touchdowns,
two picks, not getting it done though, Sam Darnald, Kenneth Walker,
and Zach Scharbaey get it done for the Seahawks.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Say, I like you, guys.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
I love special teams in every aspect of it, and
a lot of these games over the past couple of
weeks have come down to special.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
Teams mistakes, right.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
I mean, you allow the Seahawks to get back in
his game and get Myers an opportunity to win the
game for the Seahawks because your kicker did not get
the ball and kind of the drop zone a half
yard yes, so now you put the ball out the
forty yard line, not too much for Sam Darner to
get the ball into field goal position. Myers, who missed
the kick early in the game, gets an opportunity to

(18:18):
now go from I.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Guess the goat. Not the greatest of all time, but
just kind of the goat.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
This guy who gave the game the way to being
the hero, and the hero he.

Speaker 7 (18:27):
Was, he just needed a couple extra hits off those smell.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Did you wait? Did you see how many times he
looked like Adam gay is hitting that? Didn't he? Right?
I see, give me a look.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Speaking of guys who like to hit the smelling stalts,
Aaron Rodgers take it on. Carson wentz over there in Ireland.
And if it wasn't bad enough that the Steelers backup
quarterbacks Skylar Towps, he got jumped and robbed while he
was there at Dublin, Steelers managed to rob the vikings
of a victory. Shinned from his own twenty yard line
first and ten Rodgers from the right hash firing dk
metcap down.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
The white hatch.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
He's got it at the forties, across midfield to the forty,
the thirty, the twenty the.

Speaker 8 (19:06):
Ten five dky Caps in cross Steeler touchdown.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
Called Curzy of Westwood One's Kate Scott, and I think
the Steelers are going to continue their playoff streak this year.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
They're playing pretty well. Steelers were rough twenty four to
six with eleven twenty one left in the fourth quarter
before the Vikings put up some garbage time numbers to
kind of make it look a lot closer than it was.
Rogers eighteen of twenty two two hundred yards at a
touchdown gain well nineteen carries ninety nine yards, two touchdowns,
dk metcap five catches one hundred and twenty six yards
included that eighty yard you just heard about had a

(19:38):
touchdown as well.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
His game started out like it was going to be
as still as blowout, but you know, Carson Wentz made
it a game.

Speaker 5 (19:44):
But the best play of the game is made by.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Peyton Wilson, linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, chasing down Jordan Addison,
which looked like it was a clear touchdown. And that's
not a guy that you could say that he's more
quicker than fast, because that dude.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Who was like a cheater on the prow. Yeah it
was five was it five to six sacks for the
Steelers only two for the Vikings, who got both of
them from Jayalen Redman, by the way, and Vikings looked
to leave take on the Browns in London this week.
Commanders at Falcons all at the Commander fourteen and a

(20:21):
three point league. Ennix will bring London.

Speaker 9 (20:24):
Through the formation of the left handed to Robinson, but
shan bounce this inside the ten Kates has faded the
box spin end of the intel touchdown Atlanta.

Speaker 7 (20:33):
What a run that called courtesy of West Durham with
WZGC and another sad result for one Benjamin Albright.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
First game that Michael Pennick Junior has won in which
an opponent scored more than seven points. So there you
go for that one. Pegs finished with three hundred thirteen yards,
two touchdowns and an interception Marcus Marioto only one hundred
and fifty six yards two touchdowns that it picked Jay
Daniels supposed to be back next week for the Commanders.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Well, you know what, this game was fascinating because I
remember being at burned down watching the Falcons game last week,
I mean two weeks ago, and they looked as though
they needed to pull Michael Pennix because they lost to
the Carolina Pathers and they got closest fire, but Wade
to bounce back against Dan Quinn and the commanders. But
what's crazy was that Vjhon Robinson had more than one

(21:18):
hundred yards receiving, and so did Drake London.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
John Robinson had one hundred and eighty one all purpose
yards on the ground and through the air, and really
was the engine that made the Falcons go. We'll see
if they're able to capitalize on momentum with that going forward.
Saints step blown out by the Bills, takes the staff,
takes the throat of the flat, looks down the sideline.
He's got kincaide.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Who's gonna walk it in for a twenty three yard touchdown.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Fake to the flat, throw.

Speaker 7 (21:47):
To the sideline, and it's easy, peasy, lemon squeezy Chris
Brown with the easy squeeze lemon pz of WGR.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
But the Saints did cover. The Saints did cover. I'll
score thirty one nineteen even if the game wasn't that close.
Josh Allen sixteen to twenty two, two oh nine, two touchdowns,
James Cooks twenty two carries, one hundred and seventeen on
the ground. Alvin Kamara is still putting up numbers over there.
Put up seventy rushing yards on Kendrey Miller had sixty
five of his own the rattle Smith Spencer Rattler, though

(22:16):
only one hundred and twenty six through the air.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Now, this is crazy to tell him more to leave
Philadelphia and go to the Saints. A team that is
kind of cash strap and personnel's strapped at the same time,
is got it. It makes me wonder who's gonna win
their first game? The Saints are the New York Jets.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Saints. Saints win this week? Saints, okay, m Brown's the Lions,
speaking of blowouts.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Not a great punt. It's gonna come up in Gilder
at the thirty four, makes the.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
First many miss there, here's the forty fifth, Lee Bank,
look at the forty to the thirty five, to the
thirty to the twenty one, say goodbye, Colly Fraeman to
the house. Touchdown Detroit Lions, No baby, what a runback
I called?

Speaker 7 (22:59):
Courtesy of Dan Miller and Lomas Brown with w x YT.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
And the Lions still rowing that they are. Jared Goff
one hundred and sixty eight through the air, two touchdowns,
Samier Gibs ninety one on the ground, a touchdown on Monross,
Saint Brown least seventy yards to touchdowns. However, Dylan Gabriel
did his first pass attempt in this one that was incomplete.
Quin Shawn Juggins twenty one eighty two, as they have
bombed three receptions fifty eight yards, figures to have a

(23:23):
big role going forward with center Tillmanol Well.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
The one thing that's amazing watching these Lions games, you know,
is John Morton. When you look at what John Morton
has been able to do, and I know everyone was thinking, well,
with now Dan Johnson, this team's.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Going to fall apart offensively.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
I mean, we're talking about games where the scoring thirty
thirty four, forty forty two points a game. Bitch, shout
out to former Broncos offensive system John Morton's we're having.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
The Lion's own track.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Speaking of the blowouts, let's hit the triumvir it is detection
to take on the Titans. We're at the snap, cej
looking firing deep draft.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
He had a light side on himself.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Guys with that catch, Caden Higgins touch down Houston.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
I'll pull it from Stroud to the rookie I called.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
Courtesy of k I l t's Mark Vandermere and the
Titans not looking.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Good, height were not This is a coming out game
for what he marched the Texans.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Good thing.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I left him on my fantasy bench.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
The Titans managed zero points and one cam Ward quote.
It's the podium after the game. We was asked, yes.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
He was, Uh, yeah, he was saying that he wasn't
referring to a donkey when he when he meant that.
But this is a team that's struggling. He has to
understand that they're going to struggle and they're going to
need him to pull through this. And I mean, all
you had to do if he went across the field
and talked to a guy boy the name is CJ.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Shrout.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
You know there's gonna be some highs and some ups
and downs in this league. You just have to continue
to play. And I think this kid camp Ward man,
he's going to revamp from this particular situation.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Four for four on blowout says the Patriots got Bryce
young benched.

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Stretched back to his life of States.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Eleven side of forty marks the CRS and went to
the forty, to the thirty, to.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
The twenty, to the.

Speaker 8 (25:07):
Ten to the inside touchdowns.

Speaker 7 (25:12):
Bob soci with w b Z on the call and
another big special teams play this weekend.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah, the Panthers just they think they're you know, dam
Ward could have been talking about them. Bryce Young eighteen
to thirty, one hundred fifty yards in a touchdown, got benched.
Andy Dalton comes on, goes five or six fifty eight yards,
gets a touchdown of his own. They couldn't get anything
on the ground either. Drake many fourteen to seven tween
two oh three, two touchdowns, looking pretty pretty good in
year two.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
Who we say that this officially is Mike Babu bump
for a guy like Drake, may consider the fact that
he shows some signs on the back end of the season.
Is he going to be one of those young quarterbacks
that we're going to say.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Come week eight? Like, man, how do we miss out
on this particular guy?

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Might might wind up being that way. Chargers at the
Giants Jackson Guard hits the bulls eye for the New
York Giants.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Scattaboo the back dark design run.

Speaker 8 (26:06):
Up thentil he goes to the tank of the buicks
out Giants.

Speaker 10 (26:09):
Jacks the Guard got a quarterback drop from fifteen yards
out hit his first start.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Here's the Giants.

Speaker 7 (26:16):
The league that call courtesy of Bob Papa with wfa
in and camp Scattabo out there looking like Bobby Bouchet
at the end of the bourbon ball blocking, Yeah it was.
You know, Jarred only threw the ball twenty times one
hundred and eleven yards of a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
You would have thought it was the second coming the
way people have talked about him all week. He did
carry ten times fifty four yards in another touchdown. Herbert Meanwhile,
despite a third string offensive line forty one passing attempt
two hundred three yards of a touchdown, but two costly
picks Amario and Hampton only twelve carries one hundred and
twenty eight yards of a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Well, could we see Jackson Dart kind of deployed in
the Giants offense like Josh Allen Because remember Brian Dable
was once the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills while
Josh Allen was there and dex and Dart did a
great job of using his legs to extend place.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
The Eagles Broncos future opponent on the road at the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barkley is back of the game. They're
gonna touch push coach fake thanks.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
So he's going to let on I thinks so, and
he's gonna score as Barkley.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
They faked their touch push.

Speaker 7 (27:21):
That's that play you were talking about last night, Nick,
the fake push push, the legendary Merily Reese on the
call with w I P. I really thought Baker had
another comeback in him for a minute.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
I mean, they keep losing weapons there, down and down
in Tampa. But Baker twenty two of forty eighty nine,
two touchdowns at a pick losing Bucky Irving's gonna have
to get second opinions on him. So if they could
be down to Rashad White and gosh, what's the other one?
The other one they got there? I can't even think
the kid that was at Syracuse so well, Irving did
catch five balls for one hundred and two yards at

(27:50):
a touchdown at Booka four fore hundred and one and
a touchdown, But uh, yeah, they need they need some
help in Tampa. They've been losing weapons. Meanwhile, not a
great statistical day for the Eagles, but they get it.
Hurts only one hundred and thirty yards, but two touchdowns
sixty two on the ground as well. Barkley forty three
yards on the ground. But he got that touchdown you
just heard, and their leading receiver was Dallas Goddard at
thirty seven yards.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Well, they still finding ways to win when you look
at the quarterback comparison, Baker Mayfield forty passing attempts, Jalen
Hurts only twenty four and they still won the game.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Yeah, just finding finding ways to win there. In Philadelphia,
Colts with the Rams stafford set up in the shotgun.

Speaker 10 (28:30):
Colts for the snap port down, needs two yards, let's
to go left side, got find it cool erging In
put a Touchdownka Coola with a nine yards store.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
They called courtesy of JB.

Speaker 7 (28:44):
Long with KSPN and man, what a day from Puka.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, Colts undefeated. No morvac is such a great day
from Puka that Daviy Howard to retire today. You know
who else was busy? Oh game? Rigaberto Sanchez, the Seldo
Muge punter for the Indianapolis Colts on hundred four times
in that game, long of fifty six fifty two point
three average punt in the football. But nikoa thirteen catches
one hundred and seventy yards. I think I retire after

(29:09):
that too.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
I thought Matthew Stafford had a back injury.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Doesn't seem as though that back is bothering him throwing
full more than three hundred and seventy five yards in
three touchdowns.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
So to me, if that is a problem with.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Someone having a back issue, I'll take one.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Please. Yeah, if he's that's a back issue. Was he
like when he's healthy, Yes, exactly, My goodness, Jags at
the Niners fills it at the fifteen yard line, Mata
man miss twenty five year thirty yard line. That's gonna
turn a pot one to tell off fifth fifty forty
thirty twenty.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
Fifteen to ten buck touchdown.

Speaker 10 (29:43):
Parker Flushington just brought it all the way back.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
He had another big special teams playing this past weekend.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
That call courtesy of w j x L and Frank Frangie. No,
but I get to say this, but I'm a little
disappointed the highlight that Grant ran. He could have run
the fireworks at the end of the game, or at
least half of the game when Bob sala And and
Liam Cohen we're jaw jacking at each other.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Yeah, he could have run that. But this game was
a really tough game. Tough, physical game. But once again,
I go back to this, and we talked about earlier
in the week. If you Liam Colin, you want to
be really specific about who you run choose to run
up on.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, I'm not bowing up on Robert Salah. In fact,
I don't think there's any coaches in the NFL outside
of maybe Dan Campbell that should be bowing up on
Robert Salad at any point. And do his jacked Ravens
As the Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
Patrick Mahomes under center, They're gonna roll to the right side,
and that Mahomes City cut touchdown, Kansas City, Marquise Brown,
Hollywood goes all the way across the formation on fourth
and one.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
While we hate the Chiefs in Broncos Country, I love
the calls from Mitch Holt to s KFNZ and the
Chiefs look like they're back.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
I finally looked like they were getting on track. Habits Z,
if you're worthy out there, certainly helped on the flip
side of that. The Ravens don't just lose, they lose.
Lamar Jackson and not Cooper Rush have to start for them.
They're gonna have to dig out of a pretty big
hole here.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
Yeah, and I want to say that the Chiefs are back.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
I will say, granted that they are getting healthy, which
could prevent or present an issue for the teams down
the stretch and Michael.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Parson's homecoming in Dallas and time Brandon McManus a thirty
four yarder for this game to end in a tie.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
Snap spot kick is up and it is good, and
this one will end in a tie. The Cowboys and
Packers tie at forty.

Speaker 7 (31:35):
That call courtesy of Ryan Radkey with Westwood One. And
how do we feel about a tie in the NFL?

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Ties are an American There's a reason we don't wear
them on airplanes anymore. They shouldn't have them in football games.
We got to find a way to get rid of
this despicable tide on sense, Well, this.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
Tie between these two teams is going to come.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
Down to hurt one of them in late February as
you're trying to position teams.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
Into playoff position.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
But it was a great game, but Jerry walked away
not being as happy as he wanted to be.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yeah, almost ties. As the Bears take on the Raiders, catob.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
Takes the snap, swift and a tight pocket the throw.

Speaker 10 (32:12):
Ten zone touchdown, touchdown Bears.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
What a great throw by Caleb Williams.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
What doing say cutting it front Kaiu Blue.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
Kelly, that call courtesy of Jeff Joniac with KM or
sorry w MVP And are we starting to believe in
this Ben Johnson Caleb or Caleb Williams connection.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Well, they find ways to win. I mean the Bears
two and two, but they're not playing particularly well, but
they're finding ways to win. Gino has looked like to
the south end of a northbound horse so far this season.
But Ashmon Cheney finally got going. He changed his stance up,
went back to the college stance. Goes for twenty one carries,
one hundred and thirty eight yards and a touchdown, contributed
seventeen yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
Yeah, asking Jens was a nightmare in fantasy.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Over thirty points from fantasy.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
I mean, this dude's to be a problem. The ability
to run it and he kissed it out the backfield.
Very interesting.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
The Jets took on the Dolphins and no one cared.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Talker boy Low.

Speaker 8 (33:07):
It takes us not play action, rolling to his light
the horse across his body for the end zone touchdown.
Darren Waller again his first game back from retirement, and
he's got a double action of the end zone.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
That called courtesy of west Wood Wins Noah Eagle and yeah,
I think they started the Broncos game at six fifteen,
so no one had to watch the Jets and Dolphins
for more than an hour.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
As Nate Hackett would say, somebody had to win that game.
Then the Krema the Crown lead Denver Broncos take it
on Grant Smith Cincinnati Pagels on Monday High Football. They
bring Mems in motion, he in between them. The Jets
sweep Mims inside the ten. Mims has said the five.

Speaker 9 (33:44):
Marvin Mems to the goal line touchdown Denver, sixteen yards.
Jet sweep, the Mims got a good block outside and
then the speechter took it down the east sideline into
the south end zone in Denver with their second touchdown.
Now bounces in front thirteen to three with the extra
point pending.

Speaker 7 (34:04):
And that call courtesy of us KAA, the Broncos Radio network.
In our very own legendary Dave loke Hoo, if.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
We get to compliment ourselves on that, Cincinnati came out
the gate five minutes forty eight second twelve play drive
to put up a field goal to start it, and
they did nothing after that for the rest of the game.
They couldn't run, they couldn't throw, they couldn't do anything.
Bow nixt three hundred and twenty six yards on forty
two passing attempts, two touchdowns and an interception. JK. Dobbins
hundred and one on the ground. RJ. Harvey fifty eight

(34:30):
on the ground, forty through the air and a touchdown.
Courtlett in eighty one through the air and a touchdown himself.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Yeah, the football gods were just kind of toying with
the Cincinnati Bengals giving him that first drive in three
points knowing is though it's gonna be an epic collapsed
to end that the game.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Yeah, the only loan blemish on that was that Demetrius
Knight interception to both through in the end zone. Otherwise, trounsing,
We'll come back. We're talking about the Hall of Fame.
Who deserves to be there and why Broncos Country at night.
Somebody's got to win this game.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
